Love Miami. Best school ever.
Most beautiful campus in the entire world.
Why the hell is it named Miami if its in Ohio.....
It's awesome
Beautiful campus! Wonderful experience during Family Weekend.
One of the best party schools I have ever been.
Miami University
Miami university's campus at Oxford, Ohio is the most beautiful campus anywhere in the United States. Simply wonderful!
Very good place to study, very satisfied
Nice university, and very good teachers.
Is there any in Florida?
Great school for ice skating
I'm writing this review, because I saw one that said 'absolutely no one can get a scholarship here" when I googled a restaurants menu here on campus. That is completely untrue. If you are a good student with pretty good test scores and an interesting resume you can get a scholarship. Miami is covering half my tuition as part of my merit scholarship. I was admitted into prestigious east coast schools, but came here out of love for the university and all the opportunities available. The scholarship helped too. Its a great place, really anyone can find their niche don't discount it just, because you feel like being a snob.
Great college experience, I even meet my lovely wife there!
My father and mother got their degrees at Miami University, my wife and I both got our degrees at Miami, and now my son is entering his sophomore year as a resident assistant at Miami. The campus is beautiful, the instructors are challenging and extremely competent, there are many many extracurricular clubs and activities to expand the experience of any and all students.
Good school. Ultimately, Miami was not my first choice so I went elsewhere. A couple of thoughts: 1) Miami is NOT the Harvard of the Midwest. It's a good school, but they oversell it. 2) This is a "preppy" school. A lot of people dress up to go to class. I found this strange and in many indirect ways, this was the #1 reason that I didn't go there.
The Cradle Of Coaches. The Harvard Of The Midwest. The Most Beautiful College Campus In The US. Home Of The Best College Hockey Team In The Midwest. What A Place!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Miami University. It has a delightful "college town" feel to it and the professors are wonderful. The campus is gorgeous and there are miles and miles of trails to hike and explore. I would highly recommend it!! Love and honor.
this school is garbage
It used to be a beautiful campus. Absolutely horrible what they have done to it, though. Their continual destruction of the Western College campus is horrifying.
Best university Ive ever known. Amazing architecture, very interesting and beautiful, just like the scenery and surroundings of Miami. The people are extremely kind and pleasant especially the faculty and staff. I love this place, best university ever!
Great environment. Bars are full. Students party hard. I highly recommend this university it’s a great place to spend your money
BEST
much wow
'08 Alumnus. Love it!
Miami University gave me four of the best years of my life! The education I received was not just about the books; it was a comprehensive life experience.
As an Alum, and a son currently attending, I give 5 Stars. Great campus atmosphere, first class all the way.
Great
Good univ located at oxford oh
Love and Honor!
It's decent.
Beautiful campus. Extremely well managed and friendly administration. Excellent professors. Very impressed!
Miami university is nepotistic. I haven’t seen so many husband wife teams in my entire life. That is why the administration is lousy and incompetent. Recently a graduate TA was threatened by a student. The administration didn’t do much and even allowed the violent student to take final exams with other 30 students - They are apathetic. Send your kids there if you want them to be attacked by other students
One time on a bus, someone left a bag behind from this school. I gotta give it 5 stars because I got a free bag. It is a pretty nice bag.
Gorgeous campus setting.
Great place to learn
Very busy school, buildings are replaced rather than maintained to keep up appearances, students are not very mindful of their surroundings and often oblivious to cars
People always tell me how rude the students are to them because of their class, I had an experience there and I came to agree with them. There are other schools out there just as good.
Really like this school, teachers are patient and students are very friendlyit'sthe best place to study in ohio
Spent 4 1/2 years here and grew up in the area. Although it’s a university it’s still fairly conservative. Most faculty I’ve interacted with (in business, psych, English & interactive media) are good. A few are exceptional and take great care of their students. Show them that you care, speak out in the classroom, and find your mentors early on. Miami is what you make of it. You can find a party every day of the week or keep your head down and study. Find a balance between the two! The campus is beautiful and walkable. A largely safe place for students (sketchiest part of Oxford is probably out near Wal-mart, nowhere close to campus). Undergrad, research, & study abroad opportunities are top notch. Uptown has a decent selection of food and drinks, considering how small it is. Rec sports center and mental health faculties are great for students. I have a few small gripes about Mimi. The schools often felt siloed from each other (humanities, business, etc.). Tuition & fees would rise every year (a national problem). They’re always closing down sections of campus to build build build. Parking also got worse and worse each year, even if you had a red pass. I also wished the international and domestic students would interact with each other more, and that faculty would be more considerate of the former. We have a lot to learn from each other! It’s okay to think differently. It’s important to challenge your comfort zone to grow. Overall I loved my experience here. I look back at my memories of Miami with fondness. They help shape who I am. I’m grateful for my education and hope to make my family, friends, and mentors proud. I know it’s cheesy as hell but I think Miami’s phrase “to think that in such a place, I led such a life” has quite the ring!
THIS PLACE SUCKED
Every person was very respectful, warm, and very helpful. I, as a retired senior citizen, with mobility challenges, didn't have to ask for anything,. From the professor and her husband to the Ruben Garza, who made the evening possible for me. I say thank you
Heard of Miami University on the office, have nothing but good stuff to say about it !
Miami Beach
Love and Honor! Got my BA in French and BS in French Education here. I love my alma mater. I go back when I can as I only live an hour away. The campus is beautiful. Do the trails. Explore uptown.
It's quite amazing If You want a beautiful campus & lots of places for hiking though.
wait this isn't Miami Florida
Love & Honor!
Simply beautiful
nice football
Patterson’s is good I guess
I never really understood the fact that Miami University was named that way and be based in Ohio.
MU awarded a Master degree in 2000. My time at Miami was excellent and the education has served me well working in the US and Europe, starting a business, and then returning to employment to head a new department. The liberal arts education model at Miami broadened my perspective when problem solving as well as providing the technical training needed to perform as a professional. When comparing my education to colleagues I’ve always felt confident that Miami is a solid school. Miami is mostly an undergrad school with students that are loyal for generations. The picturesque setting, remote location, and tradition of excellence captures most student’s heart and draws them back long after they leave with a degree. My experience was slightly different as a grad student— I went directly from a cross country undergrad program, but, I was married and we had our first and second children while at Miami. Therefore, my social life didn’t revolve as much around typical ‘campus life’, instead many of our peers were found in the greater Oxford community which we found very welcoming. However, like most students a bit of me will always remain among the red bricks of Miami.
My wife went here but it seems like a nice place to go. A lot of new buildings have gone up in the past few years. Quite a bustling place in the middle of nowhere :-)
I think Miami university is home to some really great people...Miss Allen....She is a Miami student who is so amazing!!!!
not even in miam florida, tragic.
Nice, caring Collage
so we gonna share that business of yours or vat
Very nice feeling campus. Relatively short drive in Cincinnati.
(Translated by Google) A great university characterized by the space and greenery. I think this is the perfect place for study and meditation. An architectural marriage between the American model and English. The people are welcoming, friendly and always with that sincere smile. (Original) Une superbe université caractérisée par de l'espace et de la verdure. Il me semble que c'est le lieu parfait pour les études et pour la méditation. The university is unsafe. Recently there was a fire in the garage near the engineering building. The building does not have fire alarm system. The classes had to be evacuated by word of mouth. Send your kids to Miami University if you want them burnt down. The administration is incompetent and callous.
The best college in the Midwest. Ask a student or alumni why. You'll be glad you did.
There parking could be more clear for guest.
With alcohol such an issue in this community, I might note my impressions on this weekends visit. The parties are rampant on so many front lawns in the community, I'm talking 20-30 students on the front lawn of any given yard with open liquor, handles of vodka and such, music blasting, drunken students stumbling down side walks. It is only 4:00pm on a Saturday. At 2:00pm in a liquor store near Kroger, I witnessed numerous young adults buying liquor, not being carded, and tipping the guy at the cash register. Why are they tipping a guy at the liquor store. Get a grip here Miami Ohio University and Oxford Ohio, don't know how to curb the abuse? Get real.
Congratulations Carmen on your graduation from Miami university
Beautiful Campus.
ok
If they're intelligent enough to accept and go after my granddaughter they can't be anything but a first rate university.
very good thanks
Not the best university But the teachers are good Compare unf !!
If you're looking for employment here and you're from a minority, then don't! Very small culture and diversity (students yes, professional faculty and staff, not so much) and it's also in the middle of no where. A research university with low and subpar standards.
The overall safety of the school is horrible. You can see so many cops walking or driving at school. There are intentional fires at buildings. Professors are mean. Female students are assaulted every day both on and off-campus. The president's chant is Love & Honor but honestly speaking you don't feel such a thing at school at all. An employee (C.B.) once told me that everything have gotten worst after President Crawford has taken the office. I wish a more qualified president could have been picked up for the presidency who could be at least responsible. Never ever choose this school unless you want to live unsafely for 4 years.
A great place to start your college life!
While Miami has a beautiful campus and I enjoyed my time there, their education program pretends to be better than other schools but they do NOT offer integrated certifications and that is what literally every high school is looking for, IF YOU ARE GOING FOR EDUCATION 7-12 DO NOT GO TO MIAMI, I have been screwed out of 4 jobs because of licensure issues and them not offering the education I needed in the real world!
Beautiful campus
I love Miami!
I have so much nostalgia for this place. It is an amazing place to spend four years. There are so many trees and beautiful brick buildings. There are so many people to meet and it's just a great place to create a lot of great memories
graduated in systems analysis way back in 1967, so probably not too relevant now, but thoroughly enjoyed the university and oxford. was, at that time, one of a very select few universities that offered a degree in computer science/systems analysis - served me well.
I VISITED THE CAMPUS WHEN MY DAUGHTER ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY. ITS REFERRED TO AS "THE PUBLIC IVY" IN REFERENCE TO THE PRESTIGIOUS IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITIES. I FOUND THE SCHOOL REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND VERY HELPFUL TO THE STUDENTS. SHE GRADUATED FROM THERE AND CONTINUED TO FURTHER SCHOOLING AND IS NOW A PHYSICIAN IN CHICAGO. I ATTENDED A FOOTBALL GAME WHILE THERE FOR THE WEEKEND AND ALSO SOME OF THE INTRAMURAL GAMES. THE STUDENTS WORK HARD, BUT THEY ALSO PARTY HARDY. I MET OTHER PARENTS WHO HAD GRADUATED FROM MIAMI OF OHIO AND SENT THEIR KIDS THERE. I WAS PLEASED TO SEE THAT ALL PEOPLE I CAME IN CONTACT WITH WERE ACCOMODATING AND VERY HELPFUL TO US ALL.
Excellent school and beautiful campus
Worst school you can choose to attend. The professors don't care about you nor do the administration. If you wanna be surrounded by snobby bitchy people who only care about themselves then by all means go to Miami.
My dad was in a fraternity at Miami. I have been to the campus for hockey games (free admission to all athletic events is a definite plus) The campus is incredibly nice with amazing people and great restaurants nearby. I recommend going to the Oxford Campus. The intermural sports are great too. Miami University is without a doubt my first choice when applying to college
