I visited the place twice. When I visited the place for the first time, I used Groupon. I visited the place again, because I liked their service. The place was clean and employees were friendly. I had the same masseuse both of times. He asked me several times during massage whether I liked the pressure and felt comfortable or not. I plan to visit the place again.

I got the worst massage of my life. The man seemed like he was angry with me, just poking and rubbing the top of my back really hard and fast. It was like he hated me. It was not relaxing or therapeutic at all. It's pretty obvious he had never been to massage school because he did not know any traditional massage strokes or how to work with the muscles. Don't go, no matter how good of a deal they offer you. I wouldn't go back even if the massage were free.

They were semi friendly, barely could understand the guy that set us up when we got there. Also the paper that you lay got stuck to me after the Collegen mask was applied. The room could use an update, the coat rack was like 6 feet up, very odd over all it was an okay massage. ifelt very rushed

It was my first visit with Massage Spa & Beyond. i did my own research, there rating is not that great, but, this place is big, clean it worth every penny it was simply great!!! i had 50min of massage, wrap and facial it took about 1 hr and 20mins massage therapists were very nice i had been few defferent massage spa before this one is best so far i would love to go there again

If there was an option for zero stars I would have chosen that. It would have been more satisfying if I had jumped out my car on the highway than the massage I experienced. I asked for a deep tissue massage. My masseuse basically randomly pressed on parts of my body gently. It was like I was just being poked and oiled. You'd be wasting your time and money coming to this place.

RUDE PEOPLE- DON’T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMERS I’m very upset with these people and what I had to experience! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME honestly- JUST GO SOMEPLACE ELSE These people BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH, DONT UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU SAY SOMETHING - BEING RUDE, NEED TO LEARN HOW TO WORK IN HOSPITALITY SERVICE I had to deal with 2 people, I think she is manager/owner. She called herself Susan with Korean/Chinese accent and barely speak English I came for a visit to Chicago, and decided to treat myself, go to the massage. My girlfriend and I made an appointment at 5pm for Saturday night. However we were running late, coming from downtown Chicago, we called them at 3pm, advising we will be late, we asked gentlemen who picked up the phone (Steve I think he called himself) can we move our appointment for 6-6:30pm? He agreed and advised they will be closing at 8pm, to try to come in earlier. One hour later Susan called us, saying they cannot give us 6pm appointment - we need to be there at 5pm, she was yelling, repeating same thing over and over, I didn’t even had a change to say anything when she hung up on me. Of course I called back – but some guy picked up the phone, advising Susan is busy. I asked for manager or owner to call me back. Of course-no one called me back.

I purchased a Groupon for this a couples massage, mud baths, facial cleaning, body wrap, sauna and showers. I didn't receive all of the services. During our couples massage they were talking to each other the whole time and kept opening the door walking out and coming back. They didn't touch our feet, the women who massaged me literally scratched my scalp for a scalp massage my fiance' didn't get a scalp massage or his face massaged. My face was massaged for less than a min. They left us sitting in the room for 15 min then came barreling thru the door saying you are supposed to be in the mud bath they ushered us in there and said in 10 min get out and go back to your room. They then did our body wraps left us there for 30 min which was very relaxing they then came in the room unwrapped us said take a shower and leave. Upon walking out to the front desk i let them know i didn't get all of the services they wanted to discount my next visit. However i am not from around there we were on vacation and booked this place based off of the groupon. They wouldn't discount the services we had and didn't seem to care we were unhappy. The people where not friendly the massages were terrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS SPA.

We got a good service for the price we paid, this place is not very lavish or have a very good interior but the service I got for the price I paid was good..it was a very relaxing spa and massage, the body wrap was good and the sauna time was nice as me and my husband were really relaxed. Bought two gift coupons from them for a good price. In all a nice place to have a relaxing massage and spa.

I have been here once for a massage and twice for a massage, body wrap, and microdermabrasion/facial. The staff is friendly and professional. I have always been happy with the service. It is a little difficult to get a hold of someone on the phone to make an appointment.

I have been there more than 5 times for the 50 minute couples massage with sauna and body wrap. We love it, it is a clean professional place. It is such a relaxing experience, and very peaceful since it is quiet. I cannot recommend this place enough, their facials are also great! Make sure to book in advance since they get booked very quickly!

They seriously have the worst customer service ever...The microderms last 5 minutes it’s terrible. Then they throw a 2$ Pre cut mask from target on you. Just ridiculous. Avoid coming here.

I gave this place a second try after my Groupon and it's just not worth the cost. The voucher was $69 for a 50 minute massage, scrub, and facial. Yes, they sold me on the "$280 valued voucher" for $69. The massage was way too rough and was not relaxing at all. It was all elbow! The scrub was pathetic, to be blunt. After the massage, the therapist quickly applied a light layer of scrub and wrapped me in a towel. How do they value that at $20? The facial was about 10 minutes which included an exfoliator, pore cleaning, sheet mask, and a blue light treatment. I'd say it was probably the best part of the deal but seemed rather quick. All in all, it just wasn't worth the value. I was there for just under an hour including the shower at the end. The place is rather dated and cold. The towel that draped me did not cover my entire body. The ambience was sub par. There are far better massages in the area that charge a fraction of the cost.

Please don't weast your time and money here because there are so many good massage and spa places around this area that are client friendly and have manners how to treat clients. When you go there for first time they treat you like a VIP, they give you a good massage and some extra complementary services, then comes the payment time,they push you to buy a couple massage( 50min massage,mini facial,body scrub and wrape for $99)most of the clients fell in this trap and buy it, once you go there the second time, they'll show you their real face, they start and finsih the massage and pretend they forgot either facial or body scrub ,in short you'll never get what you were told and paid for the time you bought the voucher, the treatment wouldn't be the same for sure, when you try to tell them they forgot body scrub they'll try to convince you somehow that it was not in the deal. the front desk lady( i guess she is the owner and massage therapist too) is very arrogant,doesn't have any professionalism and manners, if you don't TIP her good (more then $20) she will literally insults you, if you buy a package of body massage, mini facial,body wrape, she will hand you 3 involopes for tips, you HAVE to put tip in all 3 of them,otherwise be ready to get humiliated. The Spanish and Chinese(?)ladies who works there are nice but language is a big problem to communicate with them, the owner interrupt them time to time to finish massage soon and I guess she gets mad on them in whispers for taking their time.!! means they just have to hurry up and finish. When i went there first time i liked that place then i did the mistake to buy 2 couple massages for my family members, I was so embarrass in front of my family members, never going back there again. My extended family members rewies will be following soon.

Have gotten a massage and facial here. It was nice and they offer pretty good package deals when you visit. It can be kind of difficult to schedule an appointment, they usually are booked for weeks in advance and the staff is sometimes hard to understand through the phone.

Horrible place for a massage. I'm always looking for new places to try and I gave them a shot seeing their Groupon. I sent my parents for a couple's massage. My parents stated the massage was average at best and at one point had to get out of some wraps early because they had to use the restroom (apparently were being rushed from one service to the next). As I went back to pick them up, I gave the front desk person a tip and she told me the tip was short and wanted $40 more- this was even before I heard about the subpar massage experience. I had to explain to her what a tip was and she argued with me stating that she had a deal with Groupon regarding something like 20% tip off the original cost of services so I let her know she could take that up to them because my tip was more than enough. She tried arguing with me for 5 minutes and ultimately I walked out and waited for my parents in the car. I called my parents letting them know everything was paid for anticipating they would be harassed for more tip, and sure enough that was the case. They ignored the lady and we left. Horrible experience. Will never go there again....

We went to this place through a gift certificate. After she discovered that we don't want to buy another voucher, she was very rude by forcing us to give tips. We had $6 cash, but she told us it wasn't enough and demanded to use a credit card. I don't mind giving tips, especially for good service ( not a good service here) but I don't like when tips get demanded in a rude manner.

I am BEYOND disappointed with this place. Not only is it impossible to get an appointment, but when we finally get an appointment it was cancelled the day of. This was because they didn't have enough. We rescheduled for the following Monday. It was for a 50 minutes massage, body wrap and facial. We pull up to your spa and they are closed! How can you schedule an appointment for a day and time that you are not open?! It was ridiculous. I have been here in the past and there was always some kind of problem.

They are very professional & accommodating to their customers. This was our 2nd time here & it’s seemed to just get better every time!! Already purchased our next couples massage!

There's no working website, the Facebook page wasn't updated since 2012 ands there's also a bunch of bad reviews online. If I could give no start, I will do so. Me and my husband got a combo of Massage , facial and Scrub or wrap from here and paid really good money. Massage was ok, but scrub and facial were Joke, The lady literally apply sea salt scrub on my body and facial lasted less than 10 min. We put about 20 percent tip but at end they handed 3 envelop and expect that we put 20 percent in each envelop - that was ridiculous. Do not waste your time and money here not matter how good deal you get.

One star is an over statement. This place was dirty inside and out. For starters the door and windows were covered in dirt/mud. Once inside the building the interior was no different. The staff was rude and very demanding. I came with my best friend intending to get the Groupon and a no-chip manicure. We left with bad service, bruises, oily skin and hair, and no manicures. The room was dirty and all we had to cover ourselves with were small towels and the paper and foil like tarp underneath us. The massages were very rushed and painful. The head massages were very violent leaving with throbbing headaches caused by the constant thrashing and pulling of our hair. Also consistently through out the massage loud soul music was heard followed by persistent banging noises. When we were not distracted by music we were distracted by the sound of their voices talking to one another. Once that torture was over, we then got our faces covered in slim and face masks we both had at home from Target. We also did not have cucumbers over our eyes as was specifically stated in the Groupon. Once the mask was on they began the "Australian mud mask." Which consisted off gross smelling hot oil mixed with water. Which applied with a paint brush. After they drenched in oil they proceeded to cover us in towels and wrap us up in the foil like tarps (like a burrito) Leaving us sticky and miserable. 20 minutes later they dismissed us from the tables aggressively questioning us on why we decided not to get waxed. Once we were led to the saunas (which were not even turned on) We became extremely uncomfortable by all of the dark empty rooms and dirt on the floor. No one offered us water after our massages which is an necessity after getting work like that done. After showering we headed back towards the front to get our 25$ no-chip manicures. For a nail salon they only had 10 colors to choose from, not to mention all the nail polishes were out of date and unusable. We quickly changed our minds about nails and asked for our money back then the front desk lady quickly demanded for tips. She gave what we thought was all of our money back to find out later she had kept 10$ from both of us. Overall this was by far the worst and most painful day of our lives, we still are experiencing physical and emotional pain.

Love this place! Used the Groupon for 2 of $119 definitely would come back! People are really nice! Exceptional people and nice facility! Don't listen to to some of the negative comments yes all their English isn't well but they make up for it in passion of care. After you are a customer got offered a great deal of options for future purchased which are better than groupon. So please check this place out! Drove out from South Chicago to come here and I loved it!

My husband and I have experienced and visited different variations of massage/spa studios and services, which range from reflexology hole in the walls to luxury resorts. Massage Spa & Beyond had great customer service, and entire experience was wonderful! Although there is a bit of a language barrier, have patience and ask questions if you are ever unsure of the next process. My husband and I truly enjoyed it and would go back again

I don't understand why all the bad reviews. My boyfriend n i went 2 days ago for a couple spa that we got for a gift and it was great. Ogi was great, request her if u can. They Incorporated hot stones in the massage which was a great touch. I could def do without the body wrap. It was kinda pointless and didn't do anything but everything else was great.

Worst massage EVER! The guy who gave my massage was yawning the whole time...he left the rm mid massage and left thedoor open....I swear he kept falling asleep for a min or two.....he didnt even knead out any knots or work the muscle, he would just glide his hands back and forth....its was very rushed and spastic...and im pretty sure it was only like 35min hands on, not 50. I also got a microderm abraison....now that WASa pleasant experience! She did a great job and the 5min neck massage she did with it was waybetter than any part of my actual massage.The place looks very disorganized and doesnt give a relaxing feel whatsoever. I will never go back no matter how good the price or groupon! My 4yr old nephew could give a better massage than the idiot I had!

i have raken my mother n husband here and from what they have told me it pretty great.. you get a massage, either with lotion or scrub lotion which removes all dry skin then you get a facial after a while they let u relax and send you to a sauna n let u stay there until u feel like ur ready to shower n head ur way out.

I love this place. All the massage therapists are doing great job. The owners are friendly and cool. I relaxed in the friendly atmosphere. The reception and front desk staff are really personable and great to deal with. If you book a massage anytime try Tina. She is Very nice lady, great pressure and very strong hands . It was amazing experience. Also , I love the dry sauce. It is private sauna so you could relaxed and enjoy it.

The massage was amazing and the place was clean.I brought a Groupon for a spa package. I didn't give 5 stars because they did not prove robes and the towels were kinda short. For a spa package which includes massage, facial and sauna/shower. They could have given a robe.

My fiancé bought the Couples on the Go spa package ($280). He was told it was a 60min massage, body wrap, and gourmet dinner (chicken teriyaki) with drinks. Before the massage began, we were asked what type of massage and we both said 'relaxation/swedish' massages. When the massage began, it was very rough and fast. I thought maybe it would get better. 30 minutes later, they said they were done. They showed us out to the hallway where our table was set up with sushi that looked like it was from 7/11. It was not fresh (certainly not a "gourmet" meal). Then we told the lady that we only got 30 min massages, so they tossed us back in a room and gave us even worse massages. It felt like they didn't want to be there and they were just rushing through. It was very uncomfortable and FAR from relaxing. Then they gave us our "body wrap". It's like they were quickly basting a turkey. At that point we were fed up, we removed the wraps early, rinsed off and then complained to the woman who seemed to be in charge. She refused to give us any sort of reimbursement. She gave us a "$129" gift certificate to return. This place is NOT a spa. It's not relaxing, it's not romantic. I feel terrible for my fiancé for wasting his money on this place. NO ONE communicates well at all. The service is NOT good at all. All of the 3 people working could not help us with the terrible service. Also, I left my scarf there and tried calling them to put it aside. I've called 6 times and finally talked to someone. They had no idea what I was saying and thought I was calling to book a massage. When they finally understood I was not trying to book something, they told me to call back Thursday. What?

The massage was ok but the place was a mess! You walk down a hall where they store their materials and stuff is everywhere. The lady who did my facial seemed to be in a rush, she got it in my eyes, nose, and mouth. When your on the massage table the only thing they cover you with is a towel, only place I have been to that did not have a blanket. Then when I was finished with the massage I was able to take a shower but they did not offer a robe, my massuse held two towels on me while I walked down to showers. The hallway I walked down in the towels led to the front as well, and the waiting room and the street could see me walk down the hall!!! I will never go back and its a waste of money!!

It's a place where I felt the most cheated out of my time and money. Oily sheets, appointments are shortened by at least 10 min. Regardless, whether you paid for a short session or an hour long one, you'll get the same service. If you paid for a deep tissue cleanse of 60 min+, you'll just wait longer on the table under the cold oily sheets, with some lame mask over your face. I was very disappointed to find out that the services were provided by the owner Mrs. S. If you are so unhappy at what you are doing, why not just sell the business?

This out of the way spa is a diamond in the rough! My girlfriend and I bought a $119.00 Groupon for a facial, massage and body wrap years ago- we have visited here every few months and consistently had fantastic service, great massage and facials that would have cost us triple somewhere else.

Terrible. Did a couples massage. They talked the whole time. There was no massage, just her attacking my body with no skill in massaging anything. It was painful and just hit all my nerves, instead of my muscles. The only way anyone would rate them higher is if they have never had a massage before.
