This is an oasis in the city. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel the city and stress falling off you. I don't go here enough, but when I do I always feel better. The deep tissue massage is awesome. I talked my husband into having a couples massage and even though it is not his thing, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

My Best Friend and I concluded our "girls mini-vacation" with a massage. She and I are both very selective when booking a massage due to various prior injuries. She would say the same as I, the massages we received today were among the best, if not the best. It was 90 minutes of pure bliss, and amazing how intuitive our therapists were about our concerns. We both left feeling relaxed and happy with our finding of this wonderful spa. I would seriously consider driving the 2 hours up to Chicago JUST for a massage from here.

I arrived in Chicago this morning and acclimated to the Lincoln Park area this afternoon. By days end I was exhausted and had been wanting to get a massage so I called up Lincoln Park Massage based on reviews and they were able to fit me right in. The location was easy to find by foot using Google maps. When I arrived there was a note on the door that they would be tight back and the receptionist that met me was pleasant and helpful. It was an easy check in process and Susan, my massage therapist, met me immediately. We started right on time. At first, I was struggling with the warmth of the room but over time I became adjusted to it and it really help to relax my tense muscles. Susan started off with warming up of the muscles but then she really got to work. She was very good. At times, she seemed like she was rushing a bit but then she would go get hot stones or a hot towel and neck wrap. She really fit a lot in in 60 minutes. The massage was only $59. They hold your reservation with a credit card but you can pay cash if you want after the treatment is over. Tipping in cash is requested or you will be charged a $2 service fee. Not big deal but important to know. The atmosphere is a little cheesy but your eyes are closed 90% of the time you are there so it really doesn't matter. The facility is clean and Susan washed her hands multiple times during the treatment (after working on my feet for example). I would highly recommend this spa.

Experience was fine for a run of the mill couple's massage. The thing is, I asked for two separate massages: one for me and one for my gf. Somehow it got combined, which ended up being ok for her - my massage was more of a karate chop adventure. But, at the end of the day it wasn't a terrible experience.

We went before Valentine's day, Traffic was bad getting there and we were 5 minutes late looking for parking. The staff was so understanding and wanted us to come in and relax while enjoying our massage. I thought we would have lost time on the massage and we received the full time. It is professional and the massages are amazing. This is the first place I have received a massage in the past and I will continue to bring my business there!

I had the most terrible experience here. I am in my third trimester and was really looking forward to a much needed massage. The woman at the front desk was very nice and asked me to have a seat in the waiting area. Moments later, a woman that worked there walked out and started screaming at top of her lungs in a foreign language at the receptionist right in front of me. She looked at me a few times and shewed me away with her hand. She continued to scream and finally the receptionist escorted her down the hallway and away from me. By this point, my heart was racing because I was so nervous and uncomfortable. My masseuse came out to greet me and apologized for the awkward situation. I asked if I should come back at a different time but she insisted no. As she walked me down the hallway, I could still hear all the fighting taking place just across from my room. I was so uncomfortable. She asked me to lie down and get comfortable and left the room at which point, I just up and left the spa altogether. This was supposed to be something relaxing that I went out of the way to do for myself and instead I left completely stressed out and it threw off my day. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I've been trying to find a good therapist and I think I found it here. Yvette is an amazing skillful therapist with great routine and considerate touch. The front desk is very polite and friendly. All in all very happy with my experience. Just finding the parking spot could be a little tricky. (Alex)

It's usually hard for me to classify something as the best! However, hands down, both my fiance and I are in agreement that this was our best massage yet! Wonderful, soothing ambiance. The staff was extremely pleasant and patient. Our masseuse was extremely gentle, yet firm. The massage was very relaxing, by the end of it we had both fallen asleep! Would definitely return! Forgot to mention we also got an awesome deal for this experience on Groupon!

When I have had massages here I've always enjoyed the experiences. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, the staff is professional, and the services are top notch. I actually had a very excellent massage when I was there a few weeks ago. I asked for a traditional Swedish massage and I was worried because usually I get a deep tissue massage. This time I was curious as to the difference and I was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked this massage more than the others. It was deep enough to have an impact and soothing enough to help me relax. I would go again to the same therapist! I do agree that the salon needs a bit of updating.

I bought my sister a voucher to get a massage here for her birthday. Her experience was terrible. There are FOUR reasons why she found the experience to be TERRIBLE. 1. She wasn’t able to get her massage at the time she scheduled, even though she booked a week in advance and even showed up 15 mins before her scheduled massage. When I called to ask why this happened, they told me that they use a third party booking vendor to handle their scheduling logistics. The representative even noted that scheduling mix ups and errors happen all the time. The fact that they haven’t rectified such errors is frustrating. 2. They told my sister that she was ready to receive her massage, but later on, after my sister was undressed on the massage table, they told her she was not on the schedule. So my sister, waiting to get the massage she deserved, did not get it. It puzzles me that she was confirmed one moment and not confirmed five minutes later. 3. My sister walked out the spa with a fear for her credit safety. When she booked her appointment, she was required to give her credit information. But after they told her that she was not on the schedule, they said they could not find her credit information. They opened a book with everyone’s credit information. My sister remarked that it was scary that she could see everyone’s credit information. 4. While I will not go into this much on this review, we have reasons to believe that this unpleasant experience was disenfranchisement. My sister did everything in compliance and good faith and still did not receive the massage she deserved. Although most people may have had positive experiences here, I will say that there is no guarantee that your experience here will be positive. I am disappointed that my birthday gift for my sister caused her more harm than good.

After driving 6+ hours of driving to Chicago and volunteering to sleep on the floor two days in a row my back was... Revolting. I foolishly fell asleep with my hips elevated on a pillow (passed out stretching) and I woke up in so much pain. Getting up took so much time, I was shuffling and hobbling around like a zombie, and I couldn't even bend over to put my shoes on. I called this place after two hours of light stretching/resting and four extra strength tylenol when the pain was only getting worse, and I got an appointment for 50 minutes later. Yvette! My hero, my savior! She was WONDERFUL! She was so, so nice! A good/fun conversationalist who kept me at ease even though 1. I'm really self conscious about people seeing me undressed, and 2. Don't like people touching my back. Not once did I feel uncomfortable, and she easily read my responses on areas that I didn't mind her working over a bit more/tender spots. I throughly enjoyed my experience here, and I highly reccomend asking for YVETTE. When I come back to Chicago in August no doubt I'll be back to see her again!

The waiting room is amazing, with a comfy couch, relaxing aromatherapy, and tea or water offered on arrival. I went with an old fashioned Swedish massage and it was great. Just the right amount of pressure. I suggest upping to the 90 minutes if possible. When I left after it I was so relaxed!

But I continued to come to LPMS post-college because it is simply the most relaxing and tranquil spot to receive spa services. I no longer live in Chicago, but come to LPMS whenever I am in town to visit. It remains my favorite spa experience near or far.

I would not recommend this place. I showed up for my scheduled massage (albeit, a few minutes late due to zoo lights traffic) and they switched massage therapists on me (I had requested Cindy). My therapist never once asked me about my history or any areas of concern (I have right shoulder pain and previous surgeries). Once the massage started, she never asked about pressure and left the room multiple times without saying a word. The first time, I waited for about two minutes and then figured the massage must be over. She came back in surprised to see me about to leave the table. There was no communication the entire massage - it truly was an uncomfortable and unenjoyable experience.

We love Lincoln Park Massage! It's our go-to for a local massage. It's nice to able to walk across the park and arrive in a peaceful environment without getting in your car. Both my husband and I have been several times and will definitely be back! We sometimes prefer Urban Oasis for the steam and rain showers so that'd be a nice touch if you remodeled.

I just hate this place.After a couple Swedish massage I started getting rashes everywhere in my body and also on my husband's.Along with these rashes there is also an itchy feeling.I don't know which oil they used for us but it turned out to be a disaster.I will not recommend this place for massage.

I booked the LP Ultimate package ($225) for my birthday. Extremely disappointing. Though Belinda was a great therapist, I did not receive all of the services listed on their website for this package (services I was paying for, and expected). At the time of payment, I asked the receptionist why I didn't get all of the treatments listed on the site for this package, and she said it was because "the website hadn't been updated and the soyaffin hand and foot treatments were longer included in the LP Ultimate." I asked why they wouldn't let someone know before coming in, she had no response. They took $20 off the cost and apologized. Poorly run business, poor client communication, lackluster facilities, overall disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The deep tissue, hour long massage I received as a gift at Lincoln Park Massage was, without hesitation, the best massage experience I have ever had. The environment is serene and Sue May's confident, expert touch thoroughly targeted every muscle group and area of tension as a physical therapist would using techniques to best access specific areas, such as the scapula, I had never before had addressed during a massage. I appreciated the fact that no polite conversation was expected - or did I feel was necessary (in my experience, at least, very unusual) and the hour was completely restorative. Incredible.

I booked a couples massage and treat for your feet for Valentine's Day this year. While the massage and massage therapists were great, I unfortunately an skeptical to even give them 1 star due to their beyond poor customer service. My fiance and I were booked for a 60 minute massage followed by a 30 minute treat for your feet. Upon completion of our massage we were brought back to the front waiting area to pay. We were a little confused but figured the staff and therapist needed a short break since we booked with the same two therapists for both treatments. After we payed things became awkward very quickly as we took a seat to wait for our treat for your feet treatment. After waiting for a little while the front desk politely said their thanks you's and to have a good day. This is when I realized that we were not going to get our treat for our feet treatment. I asked them about this, thinking that there was a scheduling mistake or the such while informing them that we booked a 60 minute massage and a 30 minute treat for our feet. They went back and asked the therapists and returned to informed us that we received a 90 minute massage instead. They offered us a discount for our next service (not even comparable to the price difference of the services we paid for and the services we wanted!), which we would not be able to use since we were in the transition of moving out of state. After a lot of going back and forth between the front desk staff and the manager, I was informed that since the 90 minute massage was more expensive than the 60 minute massage and 30 minute treat for your feet, that I would receive a check in the mail for the difference. I was a little skeptical but thought that with all of the good reviews on this spa it would honored. Well I was wrong, a check never came. I believe the poor customer service and how they handled the situation ruined anything positive I would have had to say. Sorry Lincoln Park Massage .
