Michelle was the best! I've been going through a big change since I had to put my dog down I wanted to be happy every time I saw myself in the mirror she took the time to understand exactly what I wanted asked me along the way to make sure that it's looking great and at the end result I've never been happier.

I've been coming here for years and have been happy except this last time. Making appt I told the stylist my hair was halfway down my back & wanted a cut and color, she said it'd be $120. It ended up coming out to $180 because she didn't fully cut it before coloring. I had a picture and repeatedly said I DID NOT want blonde hair. It came out completely blonde with weird highlights and I had to come back the next day to have it fixed. It still did not come out the color I wanted and now I have to wait a few months to dye it again. Here's what I wanted and what I ended up with. UPDATE: waited 3 days to wash my hair and the color correction washed out, I'm blonde once again. Wasted my money for nothing and now going to damage my hair and spend even more to have someone else fix it.

I have hair that's fine and it got thinner around the bangs area as I got older (58 now). I generally hate hair salons and avoid going. I get way too much product (supposedly for volume) and a style that's not me whether I bring a photo or not. I usually go home, immediately wash the gunk out of my hair and try to style it my way. Out of sheer desperation with hair way too long I thought I'd check out the yelp reviews for local salons. I picked Karma for the reviews (the bonus is it's 5 minutes away). I asked for Julie based on her reviews, although most of the reviews on yelp for Karma Salon are great. I brought a photo of a layered cut and got exactly what I hoped for. She cut it wet and dry to get the layers just right. There wasn't excessive product in my hair, it's a cut I love and didn't touch till my next shower - that's a miracle in my book. I've done multiple things with it and it's super easy to manage. I didn't mention I got all this at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them and will be back for color and highlights

Karma's number one priority is the customers. As soon as you walk in they offer you a beverage or if you need anything! Throughout the visit, the stylists and owners make sure you are comfortable and feel at home. It is rare to find a salon that does straightening systems and extensions. I get what I want when I come in and nothing less. Whether it's a facial, which the esthetician does as well as body massages/treatments, waxes, dermaplanes, and more, or color or a cut every little bit of effort is put into my satisfaction.

I have curly hair and for the longest time I avoided salons. The ones that I'd gone to in the past either didn't cut my curls well, or could only cut them after straightening my hair (a process that made my appointment twice as long and more pricey). Because of this, I didn't go to salons often and therefore kept my hair long. About three years ago I wanted something different and searched for a salon that could work well with my curls. I'm so lucky that I found Julie at Karma Salon! Not only does she cut my curls while they're still curly, but she does a great job working with my ideas and offering her own to give me what I want. The salon as a whole has a friendly, yet professional environment that makes me feel comfortable and cared about as a customer. I also enjoy their prices, and the fact that a "cut" includes shampooing, the cut, and a basic hairstyle afterward. (They don't let you leave looking like a wet dog.) As a curly-haired person, I'm so glad that I've finally found a salon and a stylist that I can trust!

I have always been very picky about who does my hair, but ever since i went to Karma Salon i have never been disappointed. Vanessa is my stylist and is very kind and talented at her job and makes me feel welcome every time!!! The stylists do a very good job and are always welcoming to last minute appointments. Their prices are very reasonable and i would definitely try it out if your looking for a new salon!!!

Casey is honestly a hair goddess! I'm from ny, and had a steady hair girl there, and was scared I'd never find another like her here in az. It took a few years but im sooooo glad I discovered Casey! She exceeds all my expectations every single time! Even those times I've ruined my hair by attempting something "at home"... Lol. She's always able to make me look and feel amazing! Plus she's a wonderful person in general. I recommend everyone I know (and don't know...lol) to go to her! You WON'T be disappointed!
