Called to get info on my cousin. Was transferred at least 8 times. Half the people who answered couldn't understand the English i speak, and the others just got rid of me. Then at one point they told me he wasn't there. Lets get it together and make sure people answering phones know English.

My son was in there 7yrs ago he was treated so badly yes he was sick An need the proper help they only drug them up with Benadryl ! One touched him improperly they don’t care or even want to help them . So if you can not handle mental health or illness then DO NOT WORK THERE !! Do touch them in improper places that you know it’s not right !!!

alot of the horror stories I read before my visit had me scared i had no hope to see my loved one. though i did get to see her. i got to have my hour and it is better then most institutions where u are basically only having a skype call with them. we were face to face and even got to give her a hug when she came in and when the visit was over. seems like they have improved alot since the bad reviews were written. and the staff was friendly and helpful in helping me get in contact with my loved one

Okay staff, way to many patients, environment okay, they did help me though. Dr's and nurses good. Crowded, very crowded. But all in all not to terrible bad.

Been here the food is average but it fills you up, the staff is fair and nice they let you shave and even dye your hair. You can workout with real weights, and have arts and craft and karaoke and make bracelets and draw and even sing. The snacks are always available. Lots of friendly people to share problems did I mention

Rawson Neal saved my life. Thank you to each and every staff member (techs, nurses, doctors) who facilitated my recovery from my lost mind. This hospital is amazing and deserves accolades (instead of all the bad publicity that they've had to endure.) Rawson Neal is A real sanctuary and a gem out here in the desert.

For people who do want help and are not just there to hang out and get off the streets, this place is helpful. It is not for everyone. If you are not serious about your treatment and working hard, then this is not the place for you. There are daily groups to attend. These groups are set up for the patients with drug problems, alcohol problems as well as depression with suicide thoughts. It is easy to sit back and blame the facility if someone is not getting better. Patients need to work on their problem as well as have family support. The problem is not always inside it is the lack of treatment and follow through from the patient once they leave. Keep taking their meds as well as continue in therapy. Stop blaming everyone else and take responsibility for yourself. The help is there if you want it.

I was admitted there a few times. Some of the staff were cool. There's actually staff members who do care and had my back during my stays. On the other hand, there's staff there that don't need to be working with mental patients. Some are rude, impatient, and violent, mean-looking and evil-spirited. It's not the best place, but it's not the worse, neither.

Most of the reviews I read prior to my sister coming to Rawson-Neal were true, I doubted them for a while because she seemed to be doing fine in their care. But they released my sister out of their care with no jacket, shoes, money, and did not even notify me when she was released. The only thing she received when they let her out was a plastic bag with 1/4 of her prescription bottle full. I even flew in from a different state to try and help keep her under supervision and two days after I left they put her on the streets with nothing. Finally my family and I drove to another state to find her wondering and lost and we brought her to my home. The hospitals here said she should have never been released and wanted to keep her at the hospital and the social workers and doctors wouldn't even return my calls or my attorneys!

They are messy a** hell. Not a good place to work at. Wouldn't work there if they pay me 20 dollars an hour... Listen to other people, never ask you or find out if it's true or not, this is all about custodial job.... No chain of command,

Even though staff was wonderful to me, when I was discharged, they had me sign papers stating that they gave me back my personal prescriptions, which they knowingly did not....They forgot to give me one of those prescriptions that they prescribed..They're too busy trying to rush the discharged patients out that they're not keeping track of out personal belongings..Very careless

They misdiagnosed me and put me on enough meds to tranquilize a horse. I have permanent nerve damage because I was afraid if I didn't take the assortment of awfully side effected drugs they'd never let me leave. This place gives me nightmares.

Maria Yuhas

How can a low income clinic not take Medicaid? Staff is astoundingly rude as well. Its impossible to get around and no one gives proper directions.

Robert Vale

I wouldn't let them treat a rabid bat.

Chris Smith

I believe this place really helped me.

I'm giving this 4 stars... Ive read a lot of bad reviews about this place but I honestly can't say I encountered what they did. I admitted myself, I was addicted to sleeping pills, I was depressed and I was going down the dark path of suicide.. I made the decision to get help... I remember every little detail of my time there.. No place is perfect and no one is either. I think admin changes the doctors names to colors..i had Dr. White.. There was also a Dr. Black, Dr. Blue and so forth. When it came to my doctor, I felt they could do more to help. I legit wanted help and I only saw the doctor twice out of the month I was there. The way I got better and helped myself was by the other patients and staff in the pod. We had some good discussions, I met a lot of good friends. Some I still talk to this day, 5+ years later. A few I wish I could reach out to and see how they are doing now. I did notice that a lot of the homeless would be admitted, then discharged and then admitted again days later. I still have nothing negative to say about it. That place did help me.

This place is stupid and I wish they'd close it permanently.

shanna harmon

If I can give this place 0 stars I would.

Definitely need to get investigated Federally. All the good nurses and doctors should have their jobs secured or placed into a better hospital.

I spent a few days in Rawson Neal last year. I'm allergic to peanuts and let the know that on intake. One day, this female tech was getting everyone prepared for lunch. She gave me what everyone else had, and then, pretending it was an afterthought, said, "Wait, wait, wait! That's not your food, you have a SPECIAL diet. SPECIAAAAAL diet!!" There's nothing special about having to worry about dying from what was just a few years ago a staple of my diet. I get the feeling she was either crazy, trying to get the other patients riled up, or, most likely, both. She also said I was faking about my headaches [from intracranial hypertension], but that didn't bother me, it's a medically diagnosed problem. It didn't bother me, but it still wasn't appropriate to say. But again, pretty sure she was crazy.

This place should be shut down. It is a hell hole. They have a court system there in which Drs. lie about your progress to the judge and also lie about your state of well being so they can force everyone to take psychiatric medication to be able to leave this place. The judge never sides with patients who choose to remain unmedicated during their stays regardless of any type of psychological evaluations given or how cooperative you are with the program. Once the judge declares that you MUST take psychiatric medication, then they give you paperwork for you to be able to pick which one you can take if it falls into the category in which your diagnosis falls into. If you do not pick one, then a gang of staff members violenty force you with an injectible version of their own choice of medication instead. The staff there threatens to physically abuse patients. I have seen a patient get pushed around but he was frightened just enough to eventually comply and was not hit by any force of the threats that he was given by the staff. The food there was set up so you only have bowel movements on average of once a week and they are not easy to have either. You are always hungry all the time regardless of how often you eat or how many snacks that they give you. It is as if they are putting something in the food to cause these issues intentionally. To me, it is a torture chamber. Don't expect to receive any kind of help from this place whatsoever. A staff member once yelled out "If you all don't like it here, then don't come back!" My advice is to listen and never go to this literally God forsaken place. Although they do let you have a Bible here. Don't try to read it at night though or they will get infurious. The God of the Bible is not welcome here. This place is run by staff members who would rather treat you as if you are in hell and they are the devil's assistants. I kid you not this place will feel just like this 100%.
