I was suffering from serious depression and anxiety and Dr. Bist helped me deal with those issues both through medication and talking things through. I was previously very against taking medication but he helped remove the stigma, which was very important for me. The doctors ask appropriate questions and actually listen to my answers. Dr. Bist is a professional and has a naturally lovely personality. Every time I had tried going to therapy before it was something I seriously dreaded but I actually look forward to meeting with Bist. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful too.

As someone who has been bounced around between different psychiatrists, doctors, and psychologists in multiple states, I can assure you that Dr. Bist is one of the best. Yes, I admit that the office is a bit disorganized, but don't let that stop you from scheduling an appointment.In my first session with Dr. Bist we explored both my history and my current state. I was doing quite poorly at the time and urgently needed help. This made me very confident that I was on the right track and took a huge burden off my shoulders. My first appointment was scheduled the day after I called. Compare that to the other psychiatrists who told me that I needed to wait weeks before my first appointment. One thing that I do recommend is to get an outside therapist in addition to a psychiatrist. Dr. Bist is a great psychiatrist, but didn't completely provide for my therapy needs. I suggest that you ask him for a referral to an outside therapist who specializes for your specific needs.

The first Dr. (Dr.Bellota) I have ever been to that forgets what medications you are on, and when you mention what you are on she claims she didn't prescribe those meds to you! Well....I got the meds somehow, with her name as the prescribing Dr. on the bottle. Every time I go in for an appointment, she is rude, gives dirty looks and makes you feel small! I have made an appointment on several attempts ensuring I will be the first patient that day, since her wait times are an hour or longer. Then, when you do finally get to see her your appointment is a matter of 5 mins....if that! She doesn't care for her patients, just about the money! Every time I go in there, there is still someone called before me! I finally said something to her, and she discharged me! I wouldn't suggest this doctor to anyone!

Dr. Bist is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever come into contact with. He is compassionate, caring and highly intelligent. Dr. Bist uses the most advanced practices in psychiatry including TMS and Neurofeedback for disorders that have been resistant to standard forms of treatment. He also uses genetic testing to determine the best options for medication management. The office has a warm welcoming environment.

Of course the nurse was not able to help me. It’s definitely difficult to find a good psychiatrist in Las Vegas. I think i will have to go my in Los Angeles to find a good one.

Set up an appt with Dr bist but when i came for my appt I was told he had gone for the day. They said that they tried to call me to see another Dr but I did get any calls from them. Then they told me that Dr bist doesn't take my insurance but on the phone they said he did. The alternate Dr was apparently sittng in the office with the receptionist and heard our conversation and instead of seeing me she said she was not taking any more patients.Very disapointed in this doctor's office. They are confused and it doesn't seem like the doctors want to help. Now I have to look for another doctor and wait weeks to see somebody else.

I have known Dr Bist and Dr Ballota for years, and they are decently compassionate and capable doctors. The staff here, on the other hand, is completely unacceptable. I've had so many rotten experiences over the last year or longer to where I dread coming to this practice. Numerous scheduling errors, charging me with a no-show fee so I had to prove with receipts and the doctor's own notes that I actually WAS at my scheduled appointment, incorrect billing of insurance, gossiping about patients within hearing of other patients, all around bad attitudes. Just because a patient is being treated for trauma, depression, or whatever other affliction brings them to a DOCTOR, does not mean they are automatically crazy or stupid. If you are a medical assistant or biller or secretary working in a mental health care facility you should not treatment people that way.

I was told over the phone my co pay would be $18. My appointment was at 9:15am after at least an hr...I check to see how much longer, to be told I would actually have to pay $40... and they only accept cash... I rescheduled for the next day ... life happened, and was told it would be a $60 reschedule fee...so all in all waste of time and money $18 given no services renderer. I see why they only accept cash

Four of my family members have seen Dr Bist, three for a short time and one on going. He listens and observes, but will also give you feedback. He always calls you back personally. He is quietly intelligent and wise and helps guide you toward understanding what you are going through and why and toward better mental health. He saved my teenager's life literally by being incredibly astute during a phone call. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bellota is an excellent psychiatrist who was highly recommended by a therapist. She is compassionate and was right on point with her assessment. During the visit, she was very patient and listened to my history. She utilizes both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. She also asked many insightful questions to help me begin to uunderstand my diagnosis. When I think about how I was doing a few months ago, I am relieved I'm doing so much better now. I wasn't sure about taking medication, but I'm glad I did, and sessions are helpful.

"I have been a patient of Dr. Bist for almost a year now. Some background- Lifelong history of depression, taken multiple meds and seen different psychiatrist over the years. I have felt that he has been genuinely concerned about my illness. He suggested meds and lifestyle changes which have been helpful in the past year. Recently went though a severe bout of depression and just could not get out of it. Dr. Bist suggested TMS treatment which turned out to be a lifesaver. Started feeling better almost immediately, and after the 36 sessions feels like my mind has been reset. During the treatment the staff was wonderful and the TMS technician Liz kept encouraging me which was very helpful when you feel completely hopeless. I feel great now and hope to continue seeing Dr. Bist for a long time."

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bellota. She is an exceptional psychiatrist. She constantly reviews the latest advances in medicine. She is open to using complementary and alternative medicine. I had suffered from extreme fatigue for about 15 months when I first saw her. I didn't feel "depressed" in the typical sense, but I was close to simply applying for disability and resigning myself to a much more limited life. Dr. Bellota addressed the fatigue immediately and also realized much of my dysfunction was coming from the symptoms of adult ADD.My Dad would hate this practice. He doesn't believe in meds for issues of fatigue, energy, depression, motivation or attention. Like many, he thinks sick people should just "tough it out". Thankfully, Dr. Bellota doesn't feel this way. And it's clear that she and her staff actually care. Not just at the first appointment -- but with each and every follow up meeting or phone call as needed. This is an incredible practice, and I wish more health providers combined the compassion and expertise and open mindedness that they bring to work every day.

When I first started going here I loved it I had a couple problems with them but kind of just let it go sense I loved Dr. Bellota. When I stopped going because of something that happenend to me I called them to see if I could make an appointment they told me I owed money that I shouldn't of owed they never mailed me anything or called me to let me know I owed that and I told them to mail a copy of those charges and email they never did. I have had tons of problems with the girls upfront they are kind of rude they make mistakes and blame them on you and very disorganized and whenever I go in there they make me wait an hour or more.

Dr. Bellota yells at her employees while customers are on the phone. She yells her employees to hang up on the customers and she really only she's her patients for 10 mins or less. She's rude as well. I do not recommend her. If I could I'd give her zero stars.

My wife and I were able to see Dr. Bist together, as we requested, so were impressed right away that he was able to accommodate us in that way. We arrived promptly at our appointment time and were seen right away...maybe a 3 minute wait in his waiting room. While Dr. Bist is a little quiet, he is certainly knowledgeable and conveys his message in the appropriate way. Both my wife and I felt comfortable with him right away. We spent a good time speaking with him, and are satisfied with the results. We left his office receiving everything we were hoping for, from treatment advice to medication. In all, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Bist to anyone out there who is troubled or having trouble battling their demons! It was our first time speaking with someone and we could not be more glad that we did!

If you can get in right away to see Dr. Bellota it is because only desperate patients go back a second time. She is NO child or teen psychiatrist. I cannot believe she is one of my insurance providers. I'll try to change that after seeing I almost ended up in the emergency room. She is incompetent, rude, she sits about 10 feet from you and that is a huge sign of being totally apathetic to your needs.

If you are looking for a place to get your meds, then this might be the place for you, but if you're looking for help with your mental health, then I do not reccommend this place. Dont take my word for what Im about to say, you can see for yourself just by observing in the waiting room. My experience at this doctors office, which I have been attending for the last 6 months is that ONLY ONCE have I actually seen my doctor(DR. Bellota) and instead Im seen by the PA who is looking at either Pub Med or WebMd on her iPad when it comes to figuring out my needs and medications, who by the way is a very nice woman, but this isn't about kindness, this is about the standard of practice when it comes to psychiatric patients. The most time I have ever spent with the PA has been 5 minutes. To think about the fact that they are so booked, that if you needed to reschedule, it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month is disturbing. Just think about how many patients they have coming through that door that are spending less than 5 minutes with the doctors. The one time I had the opportunity to talk to my Dr.Bellota, I was shocked at the disorganization of her office, there were papers everywhere. They strangest thing to me was the prescription bottles that were laying around everywhere , some of them without a lid. I wasn't sure if she was the doctor or a psych patient pretending to be one. I had come in to talk to her about some side effects I was having with the medication, her response was to basically laugh at my face and tell me she hasn't heard that in all her years practicing , on top of that she made a remark that maybe I was taking "other" things, that might cause that, which to me is absolutely unprofessional . Im not one to ever leave negative or positive reviews. If I like somewhere that I went to, I'll return and tell everyone what an awesome place it is and if I had a bad experience , I just won't come back. The Mind Brains institute feels more like a "Trap House"(house where drugs are sold in low-income neighborhoods) for psych meds than a doctors office. Stay Blessed, Fernando

Dr. Bist is amazing! I came to him with serious issues and in a deep depression and my life has completely turned around since being his patient! He gives insightful therapy and quality medication management, definitely not one of those psychiatrists who just wants to dope you up and send you on your way. Even though I moved out of state, Dr. Bist has continued my care through phone sessions and I have been reluctant to find someone here in Arizona because I think he would be hard to top! I've had many issues what does facility trying to charge for things that were not rendered and them lying to you about taking your insurance and being reassured only to find out that things were not covered and they are still trying to bill you. Everyone needs to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will be doing this as well as fine in court.

They are inhuman racists. the doctors do not take care of it, they just want to steal the money from the health insurance. I know many clients who are very disappointed with their work. Scheduled our appointment for troubled step-son 3 weeks in advance. I was looking forward to the appointment because we are running out of options to help him. On the same day of appointment Kim called me to cancel because Dr. Bellota had something important come up and would call me back with available time. Kim did not call me back as promised, when I called in the afternoon the receptionist told me that the doctor was there and the appointment was still on that day and to hurry up so we could make it. I drove to the office as I was pulling in the office calls me to apologize because the appointment was cancelled. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and we haven't even met the doctor yet. We will go elsewhere.

I am only giving this place a 1 because I have to in order to write a review. I scheduled a month in advance. I sat in the waiting room for half an hour and then I'm told that I owe $190. I explained that I was not aware of this and was told that they don't give that information over the phone. I used to work in the billing office of a counseling center I know it's not a HIPAA violation to tell me how much I owe over the phone. I explained that I will not be coming back because it's absolutely ridiculous to charge someone so much not telling them until they show up. My insurance told me that it was a $20 copay to be told something else when I came in. They have ridiculous practices including not billing to secondary insurance, which I am sure is not allowed anyway. If you want to see a psychiatrist or therapist go somewhere else. The place you go should not add more stress to your life.

We started seeing Dr. Bellota for neurofeedback for my sons behavior disorder and had been there for nearly a year. The evening staff are very young girls that obviously have no education in dealing with behavioral disorders and the doctor is never there at that time but we had been doing well. One young girl left my son unattended and 3 little girls ran into his room bothering him and he pushed one, all the while the girls were screaming that 2 boys in session were fighting and punching each other in the face. The girl watching my son apologized for leaving him unattended and took reaponsibility, which I appreciated. We were told to leave, to make an appt to speak with Dr. Bellota about the incident so I did. When I arrived they took my payment but then called me to the window and told me my son was discharged due to bad behavior. The doctor was standing right there looking at me but would not speak to me or acknowledge me at all. The young girl at the window returned my payment and told me it was done and closed the window on me. I am still in shock! Who does this? The whole reason for being there is for behavior assistance and she kicked us out without any explanation and with total avoidance. I am pissed and will never recommend that office at all!! I give it 1 star because the neuro did show signs of helping my son. Staff is too young, not trained or educated, and overwhelmed and without supervision. Bad medicine!

Office staff are great. I do not agree with putting people on medications THEN when the patient is telling you the only effect they get is feeling sick, I feel that is a matter of urgency and office staff could have done a better job at relaying that message. Dr. Bist is on vacation so I absolutely get it BUT asking a patient stay on medicine that makes them feel worse for 3 weeks until you get back is wrong. I looked for tappering off instructions online but found too many methods so I will be stopping all medications cold turkey. Hopefully the withdrawls arent too bad. After 4 years, its time to find a new doctor. This isn't what I nor my isurance is paying for. AMELIA is great however, very quick and patient. She is compassionate as well. Stay away from these doctors is the best advice I can give. I have 5 different nedications sitting in my medicine cabinet all of which are either full or half full because I cant continue taking them. Most THEY MADE IT WORSE and others stopped all together.

Not only has Dr. Bist put me on a great medication combination, he has also been supportive, and makes me aware that he will try his best to get any emotional turmoil under control.Everyone I have come into contact with here has been incredibly kind, and professional. Friendly staff and clean office, but Dr. Bist was very unprofessional. He did not try to explain anything to me unless asked directly. Those answers he gave were less than informative. I got the feeling that I was somehow wasting his time. It was clear that all he wanted was to throw pills my way because even though all my input was shot down, he didn't seem to have any viable suggestions of his own other than to try drugs at random. This was after he'd killed my idea to look into Genesight (which narrows down drug options for you... If you're startings from scratch don't you think anything that narrows your options would help?) This alone tells me he's either lacking in care or critical problem solving. My experience with him was incredibly discouraging, especially since he came highly recommend.

The office is quiet, bright and relaxing, and the receptionist is very sweet. I didn't have to sit in a waiting room with a bunch of other people and I was seen nearly as soon as I sat down. Dr. Bellota introduced herself right away, which I discovered is very indicative of her kind, humble and welcoming nature. I felt comfortable talking to her about personal matters and fears. Keep in mind, I've had the WORST time finding care since switching insurance plans! Felt like chatting with my own dad...but this Dad 'gets' everything that comes with ADHD and has a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of experience with patients like me! This is the worse place ever, not only did I explain to them when I was first established that for years I have tried certain medications that I took for my condition didn’t work and that 2 years ago I was on medications that worked but I stopped taking them for a year when I got pregnant, they decide that they are going to take me off of the meds that work and put me back on the ones that don’t. Today to top it all off of why I am no longer going here and going back to the one that actually listened and helped me that is a 39 minute drive compared to just a 10 minute drive to here is because my pharmacist noticed they are prescribing such a low dose of what I was taking so he tried calling and was asked 5 different times who he was calling for and was on hold for 11 minutes and then was hung up on after waiting. So I called them and explained to them and gave them my pharmacy number. Come to find out they didn’t bother calling my pharmacy and instead cut down the quantity and just put me back into the same problem. I highly DO NOT recommend this place. Go somewhere that they will actually listen and actually communicate with your pharmacy on any issues. I would give this place no stars if I could.

Nothing but trouble from this place. Been there five times, and have only been seen once. They have these scammy fees, and financial punishments. I do not enjoy the resources wasted in time and coordination to seek treatment there. They just tried to shake me down for a random 300 dollars. Those are the scams. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. The desk staff is innept. They fixed it. We are cool. Give em a try, at least.

Dr. Bellota is a very proactive doctor and a great person. She helped me to escape depression and social anxiety years ago and I'll be forever grateful. She always found immediate ways to support me and help even as I cycled through various medical plans and none. The phama industry is still changing not to be trusted however. I hope Dr. Bellota will continue to expand other approaches (nutritional/ hormonal/electromagnetic) which have less side effects that medications.

i have brought my clients here for the second time and this experience was a bit off. the young lady at the desk Cynthia wa extremely rude and not easy to talk to. she would interrupt in the middle of me speaking to her and not here what the client was trying to explain to her. She was extremely impatient and very rude. When the client posed a question about his medication she quickly shut him down and again was unable to ask for what he needed. it was a disheartening experience to say the least.

Doctor is good but billing is horrible. One day it's 75 the next time it's 190. I was told today it was 90, gave them 100 ( they only take cash ) and when we were done they said they were keeping the extra 10 because I owed from last year. Only after did they tell me. No paperwork to show, and then they ask as though I'm unreasonable. NEVER have I experienced such bad communication about payments. I really wanted to like Bellota but the office is a mess and I wonder if their procedures are even legal.

I found Dr. Bellota to be a very "no nonsense" style doctor, and I mean that as a compliment :) Attentive medication management, clean office & nice atmosphere, friendly staff. When medication didn't seem to be enough, I got in for daily TMS treatments quickly and easily. TMS technician Liz was amazing and always made me feel at home. After my full course of TMS, I feel like my old self again and slowly weaning off the meds. Thank you to everyone at the MindBrain Institute!

went in to see dr bist for the first time front office asked for a 134 dollar deductible payment bfr they could bill my insurance, then some dr named dr betolla walked in the with a very unflattering rude look on her face and demanded i be charged $200.00 because thats what it was and embarrases the front office staff about correcting her mistake im not sure why a doctor i wasnt scheduled to see was in my files in the first place but she looked like an extremely rude woman took alot for me not to go off on her. Anyways the experience with Dr. Bist was just ok, he doesnt seem like a very concerned caring Dr. after stating to him my thoughts of suicide at times n depression symptoms he wrote a prescription sent me on my way and never scheduled a follow up appointment. I felt like an orphan nobody wanted at that office, wasnt the best experience or feeling at all.

Front Desk staff seems clueless and will lie to you and tell you are next if you ask 20 minutes after your appointment should have started why you haven't been seen yet. The doctors have to use google to search medications because they dont know what they're prescribing you. This isn't a one time thing, I tried to give them a chance, but I've been coming here for months now and enough is enough.

Dr. Bellota is the best psychiatrist I have seen so far and I have seen many. Many psychiatrists, I find, are biased and/or generally whacky. Dr Bellota was very professional and incredibly knowledgeable. What I liked is that she was concise. She didn’t have to ask me a million questions to understand what I’m going through. I have been going to oasis behavior health for over a year. Every time I come the wait is 40min - an hour an a half. Rosa never applologizes for being late or tardy. She doesn't even care if is affecting your job which is was for mine since every single appointment I have been to they were late. She is RUDE yelling at kids and employees. It's disgusting. She will not listen to what you have going on in your life to properly evaluate and assess your needs it's a joke!!! You will wait for an hour and see her for 5 min or less. She is the worst psychiatrist I have ever seen. I changed facilities and it's so refreshing to speak with a doctor who evaluates what medication should work effectively for me instead of going for the prescriptions that she gets incentives for. DR. Bist, didn't really listen to my issues. He just gave me a prescription . No follow up or see if the medication improved my situation and his staff refused to give me change back from my co pay. They told me they will mail it to me because now Dr. BIST is with another patient and he can only give change. I thought Dr. Bist was suppose to help people not give them meds and take their money. It concerns me that he didn't follow up to make sure it's working and how I was dealing with my crisis . I had to go to my primary doctor to understand what the medication he gave me does. My primary wasn't happy and referral me to someone else that would give me the proper care I deserved. They need to be investigated, giving medication freely to patients. I believe they are over medicating patients , they don't pay attention if you're allergic to certain meds, they just give out meds like candy without getting to the root of your problems. I would think since they went to school to learn behavior issues, they would help people deal with It in a positive way, everyone don't need meds, this is why they should do a proper evaluation to see what fit that patient!

Rosa Bellota was hostile, unsympathetic and totally uninterested in you or your problems. She's already yelling at you before asking questions. Unprofessional is an understatement. Trust the Yelp reviews!!! She is not at all qualified to see minors. There's a reason you can get in right away while other competent professionals are booked for months. She sits about 10 feet from you, which tells you her level of interest and bedside manner. The one-hour wait is unacceptable.

This is what you get for a Nevada state facility. there is no compassion not real help for my son. Please I wish there was a caring place who honestly care for my son's well being.
