I could not be more disappointed in this moment despite letting go of feeling super underwhelmed by the overall quality and creativity capitured by Sonny Randon on our “special day” 6 years ago. Let me explain:
1) I acknowledge that the incredible marriage and family I have is one of a kind and actually the only thing that matters.
2) However, despite Sonny Randon being a very nice man, we found his work to be quite flat and the parts of our wedding video we were able to view (we had issues with the DVD working in its entirety) resembled that of a 1980s home video. Our bad for not spending more money on a photographer.
3) When we contacted his studio following the first failed attempt to view a defective DVD of our wedding, they charged an extra $35 to send a working copy. We thought this was outrageous at the time but complied because we wanted to see it some day.
4) Life happened, it arrived, and it went in a box for special time! Flash forward to today...our daughter’s 3rd Birthday. We’ve been waiting for this moment. We even have outfits!!!! And the piece of sh...t doesn’t work. I am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. I blame myself for trusting the second copy without testing it, but also think this lack of quality reflects a lack of integrity.
Sonny, I hope you do better next time. And I hope Sue, the woman who charged $35 for the second copy at least gets that much in a deduction from her Christmas bonus.
