So quiet, clean and cozy place to be.

Ample parking. Short but lovely trail around the building. Great music and activities offered regularly. Helpful, knowledgable children's staff.

I've been going to this library for years. Most staff are helpful and polite. Some, not so much. I have had to make some serious complaints that were handled. For the most part though, this is the best library.i love the size, huge children's area and other study areas where you can work privately sans anyone bothering you. Upstairs though, and in the front lobby area you have homeless people who are always around, but the library is essential for all. Very clean always. Great selection of books.

Pretty nice people here, good selection, you can order in and pick up anything from any other Washington county library. Just don't answer your phone, you'll get barked at by staff and/or patrons.

The place is huge with lots of room for reading and relaxing bit the kids area need a serious upgrade. We just moved from Silverton and the library there was really geared towards children's learning with story times, activities, and lots of educational games/toys that really got my son engaged with learning and social interactions with his peers. Because of this he absolutely loved going to the library The kids area here is lack luster to say the least.

Not that it's Tigard Library's fault (at least hopefully not), but the removal of Literary Cafe from their lobby is a major loss to the library's overall quality and appeal. Local, organic, sustainably sourced foods and coffees were hand prepared, brewed and cooked daily, at sensible prices for all library patrons. These owners fed the homeless, gave rides to late high school students, offered water to thirsty dogs tied up outside, and were generally wonderfully generous people. These owners were then offered a laughably unfair contract by the City of Tigard that no one in their right mind would accept, and they rightfully didn't. Tangent over... The library itself is good. However, a 2 hr max reservation time for their study rooms is very short when college courseloads typically require long, sustained timeblocks to absorb more complex material. They have great book, video, and magazine selections, though, and a nice, roomy ambience (the funky smell in the quiet room isn't appealing, though). They have excellent staff!!!

The best library in the world... Well maybe not as good as the Library of Congress but it will do!

They close down the computers before the library and don’t mention that on their website. People have important documents to print out that can make or break their whole year, perhaps be more considerate of poor people who actually need the computers.

I like this library more than most. A lot cleaner than some of the public libraries I've been to in the Portland Metro area.

This place is cozy. On the 1st floor employees are really awesome. They are always keep smiling and kind to visitors. On 2nd floor employees , I felt a little uncomfortable. But 1st floor employees kind make me forget 2nd floor employee attitude. I recommend to 2nd floor employees. Please Check 1st floor employees, How they treat visitors with sincerity. Because of 1st floor employees, i revised my review from 1 star to 5star. Thanks

When you think of libraries, it is natural to think of books. But this library represents much more to the community. It's patrons, both young and old, seem to appreciate it as a meeting place for small groups, a place to relax and collect your thoughts before business meetings. Some tend to focus on researching various subjects. Their collection of videos is wonderful and serves an active pool of movies fans. The library is set in a picturesque setting that is especially lovely during the spring, summer and autumn months. One can enjoy your visits outside of the library by adding short walks along the many paths surrounding the library. All in all, the library in Tigard provides many reasons to enjoy a visit besides just to borrow a book.

Great library! It is very big and has a large selection. I especially like the large selection of graphic novels. The kids section is also really big. There is a decent selection of movies, but the CD section is pretty small and not very diverse. They have great staff recommendations as well.

The Tigard Oregon Library is an absolute oasis in this busy little city. I adore this library. Wish all libraries had to live up to Tigards standards. Kudos to all the wonderful people who make this lovely place so special.

Apparently you guys like to profile the homeless and people who are in shelters cause I was just told I have a cap of 5 items because I'm in a shelter wow talk about profiling

Very nice library with lots of room to work. There are even some rooms that can give you a bit of privacy depending on the hours you go.

Fantastic in all aspects but temperature. It is always too hot or too cold. The other day I went and everyone had jackets on, a large portion had hats on as well. I was so freezing cold that I had to put on gloves in April. Please, when it's in the 50's you still need to turn on the heat. Also, please turn on the AC when it's 90°F. Sometimes I don't go to this library when I really want to because I KNOW I will be really uncomfortable if it isn't 70°F out.

I like to study here. The second floor is quiet, and there are lots of tables. The only negative comment is the temperature in the summer is really cold that I need to bring a jacket!

Really nice library with a great selection of books, music, movies and videogames. There is a children's area for the little ones with toys and computers to play learning games. Free WIFI and plenty of computers available to search the web. There are walking trails around the library to explore and a little coffee shop in the lobby to get drinks and snacks. The best library by far in the area.

Staff is very friendly and books are what you want. It is kind of small though

My girlfriend and I walked in, mind you we are a gay couple, and before us a straight couple walks in. They start making out next to the area where my lady and I are signing up. We walked hand in hand and as we were finished and we kissed each other, that's it, one single peck, the staff didn't seem to mind in comparison to the other couple with their tongues down each others throats. One of the employees decided to come up to us and tell us our PDA is out of control and we need to leave. This saddens me because out of ALL of them, the one that looks like more of a lesbian than the two of us combined has the audacity to call us out. We get more respect from Tualatin than Tigard and I will never go there not because she kicked us out, but because of how she decided to deal with the situation. I hope the Tigard library talks with their employees about how to handle situations and remind them that they are representing a business. It doesnt matter what their beliefs are when they are on the clock. They lost my business and all of my other gay and straight friends out there.

Very nice library. Modern and clean facility. They have a coffee bar on the main level, free wifi, story time for kids, and a nature trail to walk out back. Staff has been super friendly and helpful too.
