The staff is always friendly, there are great programs for all ages and a diversified collection.

I love our library! I’m impressed with the many reading activities available for children! The staff are friendly and always knowledgeable! I do wish they had a separate location though, there are always multiple (sketchy) people loitering out front. Thanks for all you do!

Shannon McGinnis

Lots to offer for kids.

Nice library for its size!

Because, apparently, being homeless and going to the library is against the rules. Every time I go in there and harassed by the security guard because if some trivial BS. Like, I leave my bag upstairs to go outside for a cigarette, and the security guard comes downstairs to scream in my face and publicly humiliate me

Ryan Bellacov

Has the basics. Wish nonfiction selection had more books. Outside is near presentation

Solid kid's programs and selection. Most of the staff is usually very helpful but I've had a prickly experience once or twice when things weren't going well with their technical services. Recommended - I will definitely support any future levies to build a new library building in the next couple years. Great community heart for all the renovations happening downtown.

Ryan Gregg

Excellent selection of newer books and media, great children’s programs, and it’s the staff has been great for the 25 years I can remember going.

The children's sections has a great selection and is very nice to sit and play in. The teen sections (though more cramped) is very cozy to read or study in. They are very good at listening to recommendations. I recommend a searies and the next time I went in they had it.

I like this place. I do think the few have worsened it for the many. You can only reserve the private study room 2 hours each week. Ridiculous. I go here to study but I received a ticket for parking over 3 hours. Super ridiculous. The kids story times needs to be broadened and more often. They need to keep an eye on noise and disturbance a little better. I was studying and kids were playing hide and seek throughout the place. Toddlers were running up and own the isles. I think sometimes people forgot a library means quiet.

Mr. Tim Moore

Horrible service. The librarians were too busy gossiping about each other and couldn't be bothered to help find a book for a 2 year old.

Bobbie Davis

They do storytime for different age groups which is important.

Tayler

They don't take debit cards.

After living in the area for decades, my wife finally convinced me to visit the Springfield Public Library and get a library card with her. Entering the library, I took several photos to share with this community. Moments later a library employee, Ms. Carrie SCHINDELE-CUPPLES, approached me and demanded that I explain to her why I had taken photos. She said that children were present. Apparently, she thought I was some kind of child molester just because I entered the library and from the front door took a couple of photos to place on google maps. It was a very disturbing experience and speaks loudly about the kind of people who work at the Springfield public library. It is very unfortunate that individual employees are allowed to act out their personal prejudices on tax paying citizens who would otherwise have been favorably impressed with the facility. In an email later, the employee justified her action as reasonable.

Some folks don't care for big towns or graffiti, but this is art. These paintings are on the same across from Franz bakery outlet. I love how the businesses keep up their store fronts and Springfield takes pride in their community. Always a pleasant walk down the street without the smell of trash

I use the study rooms weekly. The open spaces are a nice, quiet place to work. I really like the work spaces by the back windows.

Library is great. Tried out the children’s reading group a few times, looooved the Australian man, he was very kind and warm to the kids. Went a second time with the lady librarian doing story time, hope I can have a good experience with her too!

Librarian Taylor is absolutely amazing. She has made so many amazing changes in the children's department and improved our overall experience by 1000%. The new programs, the new books, the new story times, it's all so amazing!!
