Pretty chill and cool staff and a nice atmosphere. The library is clean and well organized. My only gripe is the "trashy" crowd that would gather in the Teen's section and just be annoying, but there really wasn't anything the staff could do.

I took my son here on a rainy day, we picked out several books but were told that we couldn’t get a library card because we live in Newberg. I have library cards from 5 different counties and have never been turned down because of where I reside. Very disappointing and frustrating for me and my toddler. *Update* After looking on the libraries website, there are actually three different ways that I could have gotten a library card that day.

McMinnville library is one of the nicest libraries I have been too. Not only that their volunteers and their staff are so sweet and kind. I am in my wheelchair and they're always so kind to put my books in my bag behind my chair. It's because of their kindness is why I always return. As for the beauty this is a very well organized library and it's buildings and surroundings are beautiful. Do come to this library you will enjoy the day…

While I have not been in the book-containing part of the McMinville Library, I drove up there from Eugene last weekend to go to the Wildflower Show which was held in a downstairs room. The wildflower show only happens once a year almost every year, but the Library has an outdoor native plant wildflower garden that is lots of fun. You can visit it anytime. Lots of good parking in a big lot here and disability parking was quite close to the entrance to the wildflower show. Kudos to the Cheamill Chapter of NPSO for the WF Show and the native plant garden.

UPDATE: Since the awesome remodel of the children’s area, my precious concerns don’t seem to be a problem anymore. Thank you Mcminnville! **I think adults that aren’t with kids should stay out of the children’s section tables and comfy chairs. There are other places in the building to use the free WiFi. Unless you are checking out a book, it’s creepy to be sitting in a tiny chair at a small table, hunched over, just scrolling through your phone.

Whenever our grandkids visit, this library is one of our things to do.

This library, I believe, is the largest in Yamhill County. The most impressive part of it is the teen book section, which has a handful of computers for library members to use. The building is located next to a good-sized park that has a big playground and a nice walking trail. The public pool is right next to the library, so you can have a fun afternoon without spending a lot of money.
