A disappointing library, as libraries go. There seemed to be no organization to the children's section and when I finally found a staff member to ask, the staff member couldn't describe any organization! (that is a really bad sign!) I had to think of books and they would look on the computer to see what section it would be in. I couldn't just "browse" because things were scattered. And things were not alphabetical either: P's then O's then R's then more P's all on one shelf! While it looks like there are lots of books to choose from, there are many repeat titles. Oh, and you cannot check-out/check-in with a person, only with flaky machines (in both cases). The library looks nice with a great outdoor area but I think we will still go elsewhere.

Excellent Library. Any piece of literature you can think of, they probably have it. They have an excellent selection of movies/TV shows, music, video games, board games, etc. They also offer free tickets to local attraction; available for checkout. Oh, and if you look out the window, there's a beautiful park that you can take a stroll through.

One of the best free knowledge resources!!! I needed few audiobooks and I was going to sign up for Audible, and purchase a book or two/month, that would've end up costing not less than $50/month. Then I checked the library's website, and I found the great selection of audiobooks; all FREE. These guys made it very simple! Just search the book you are looking for, place it on hold, or borrow it, and listen to it! That's all!

When it comes non university public libraries, I have’nt seen bigger ones than this. Very spacious library in a picturesque location. Great for a good read, a mini picnic/walk around the duck pond and a sanctuary for your mind.They Also have a good roster of kids activities and conference rooms to book your next birthday/event. Also check out the interesting library of things. Briefly put: Tax dollars well spent!

The library is beautiful, but many of the staff members are grumpy old women. They use these grumpy old women to run the children's story time. Twice I have experienced two different libraries chastise small children. We stopped going because I thought it was embarrassing for the child and completely inappropriate. They need to have friendlier staff especially in the children's area!

I really like this library. But it's truly a sad day. When they install a bunch of self check out stands. When you get rid of the experiance to be able to interact with others in a mellow calm environment. As apposed to a grocery store. You take away something very special that can't be done by a computer. A very sad day yesterday.

This library offers of wide variety of media types, multiple quiet rooms, lots of seating, as well as a library of things, and a makers' space. I was happy to see a lot of media diversity including comic book collections, tabletop and video game books, and board games all available. There is also a beautiful walking park behind the library to enjoy the outdoors.

This is one of the most impressive "suburban" libraries I have ever visited. Great building, resources and staff. They actually have some real librarians on staff, unlike many local libraries. The WiFi is very reliable. Great programs for all ages, especially kids. Spotless restrooms and public areas.

Super impressed with this library. EVERYONE was so helpful & welcoming. Christina in the maker lab today was very kind & helpful. It was our first time & my child is very reserved normally and she just went & sat at a table I wasn't at felt comfortable to interact with the other kids & facilitators. It made my heart smile! Will definitely go back to check out the pond & adult section of the library.

Such a great spot. This is a large facility, with Wi-Fi, Sesame Donuts on site. There is a comfortable kids area with every book they could possibly want as well as toys. Wonderful programming far beyond story time. After visiting the library there is nice network of trails along ponds. Lots of play and bird watching opportunities here.

This library has everything I need. Great hours, helpful staff, easy printing and a fax. I particularly like the quiet study rooms where I can leave my purse, bags, papers, etc in a locked area of I need to go elsewhere in the library. I've taken painting classes here, had a coffee, applied for jobs and checked out movies and music. Best resource in the area.

I love this library, have been coming since it opened and use a lot of their toddler aged programs. I do wish they still had an option to check out books with a real person, it's a bummer to use a kiosk, but my real complaint is that they don't have any standing desks or ledges along the windows.

Great staff that are willing to help you with just about anything. The program that lets you check things like camping gear, pots and pans, microscopes, etc.. is also wonderful! It's always busy but there's always enough computers to use. Beautiful location that brings you back! Not to mention the donut shop and available business rooms inside the building.

Recently moved in the area and this is probably one of the nicest if not THE nicest public library that I've been to. It's quite large and there's tons of open tables overlooking the nice creek behind the library. Plus there's donuts and coffee so what's not to love?

Great library with a lot of resources for kids the first level of the library is devoted entirely to kids and young adults. There are conference rooms and a large Board room that overlooks a nice Riverfront area on the second floor.

The best library I have ever been to. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s a charming library and the duck pond and walking trail out back only add to the brilliance. The perfect way to spend any day. The selection of books is never ending and if you can’t find it there all you have to do is order it online. I am a habitual late book returner, but I happily pay my late fees because it means that it goes towards the library.

I have never seen a large beautiful building full of books that was open to the local public that wasn't on a college campus. Wow. I love everything about this library. The windows provide a nice scenic view. There is also a coffee shop in the library. Need a place to study? Or just use their study room. You can also bring your water bottle in and fill it there. So convenient. Their internet works wonders and try not to get lost in the shelves of books!

I will say some staff tend to need some customer service training as they might be spending too much time in their books rather then interacting with people. Anyway great relaxing place to sit down grab a book and read. Great pond next door too.

I love the Hillsboro Library! This is because of the huge selection of books, movies, games, etc. You can even check out things like kindles and waffle irons! There's a really big kids section with lots of books and some computers with games aimed for kids. There's also other sections downstairs like the Young Adult section, DVD section, and others. If it's the summer time and you're looking for something to do, I would highly recommend the summer reading program. This gives kids and teens a motivation to read more. Reading one book, I believe, gets you a free book if you are child. Reading 5 books, I think, gets you a free book as a teen. Not only do you get a free books, but you also get some prizes like free ice cream from Sonic, a free basket ball ticket, and more! And, if you are a teen- you can enter to win prizes by doing things like reading 100 pages, watching a movie based off of a book, etc. With the slips that you get for every time you do one of these things, you can get prizes like Amazon Gift cards, Barnes and Noble gift cards, and even a phone! Not to mention the lovely park behind the library and the self check out, this place is already amazing! With silent reading rooms to estatic librarians- this is a place you should check out!

There are a great number books! There are rooms to study, desks around inside, coffee shop, many computers available, it's just great. There's a nice lake and park in the back but it's sad to know they are placing buildings there now, it took out the beauty. Don't get me wrong the lake and park is there but it has gotten smaller. It's a bummer how there are buildings everywhere now!

I love the Washington County Library. The inter-library loan system is outstanding. Having access to every branch within the county makes requesting library items so fast. Top marks also for their online patron account system. It is very intuitive and has flexibility and a lot of option. For example, if you want to make a request for an item but want to put in the request for a future date, that option is available. The staff here are top notch. They are all very friendly and helpful. But truly the biggest compliment I give them is for their patience. I've heard conversations they've had with let's just say 'difficult' patrons and they always stay cool, calm, and professional. I give them mad respect. With the recent remodeling and expansion to the second level, there is even more of the library to enjoy. Also, behind the library is a pond with trails that go back into the business park area. This makes the Hillsboro Main Library a hot spot for people to come feed the ducks and just hangout or go for a walk. It's so popular, on the weekends you'll see people having professional photos taken here for weddings, engagements, proms, and all sorts of celebrations.

I love this library. It's very bright with lots of windows and a beautiful view of a lake outside with lots of geese and ducks. The collection of books, movies, video games, magazines, comics etc is impressive and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I've requested material that they don't have and they borrowed it for me all the way from California :) The study rooms are very useful for focusing. There's a small coffee shop downstairs with a decent selection.

Class. <3 Plus, there was a semblance of silence when I visited. Plus, a duck lives inside a tree out front. Plus, library of things and cultural passes! Minus 1 gold star cuz the website(s) are confusing and you need to click 15 different pages to 'view' details of item, 'locate', 'request', etc

I am a visitor from Trivandrum, India and a lover of this fascinating library with its fabulous collection of books in print and audio versions , which one rarely comes across in my place ! The bewitching duck-pond surrounding the library looks like a fairy-land ! The cozy and spacious reading halls, including an area for quiet reading , will fascinate one to visit the place again and again ! The library is equipped with a wonderful high tech system to check out the stuff very fast ! The staff members and volunteers are decent, dignified and courteous ! Visiting this Temple of Goddess Saraswathi is always delightful !!!

I really like the main library. It has a huge collection of adult and kids books, periodicals, and movies. An excellent example of public funds investment. I enjoy the view duck pond and walking trails view from the second floor while kicking back and relaxing with a book on a weekend afternoon.
