First time going to this library, it was small but really nice inside. The lady Ebony at the front desk however was extremely rude with a nasty attitude. Instead of being rude and nasty back I chose to rise above it and let it go. The two ladies inside the computer room were very nice and helpful.

I went there for looking borrow dvds movies at West Las Vegas library, very so small room than other library locations, full no sits, most homeless stay there for free wifi and they bring a foods so gross possible germs around table, chairs, dvds and books!

Smaller comfortable building with very nice staff and security. But you can encounter some strange people. I've seen several disturbances including fights there. And many can get really loud, but the guards never say much to them. Still, I like it (mostly), and they'll let you bring in food :). (EDIT) I have to add that I don't go here so often now. That's due to the constant distractions of children screaming, incessant, loud phone conversations, and continued altercations involving homeless patrons. The staff and security hardly ever address the disruptions. I think some of the patrons intimidate the security officers, so they let it slide. And it seems there are double standards when it comes to enforcing the rules, as such. If you really need to work or study, skip this place.

Overall, the experince is 4/5 stars; the staff, the eager children(noisey,but they are children), the sense of community, the encouragement, the security....but.... The only thing is the smelly homeless man who attends everyday. The library isn't that big so the smell takes up the whole room. It kills it, I am so sorry for being that person,but I have to say it in hopes of making my library better for everyone else and myself. I'm sorry but I have had enough. I'm tired of holding my breath every time he is near. People are literally having to move so they do not have to smell his bad odor. It's the guy with the brown jacket who wears a hat everyday. I'm not even seating close to him and I smell him. It is bad. You can smell the booze and the bad odor and it just isn't a good mix. I said it. God forgive me, but I have to be real. Service should be refused.

Wow, small-est library I've seen. I grew up going to NLV library and maybe I just expect all library's to be big. There is a CHILDREN'S SECTION off to the right as you enter the building. Not noticeable though. What happened to one counter people stopped at before leaving a library? A bit confusing at first, I guess.

The West Las Vegas Library is a community joint effort of diversity from its quint arts gallery featuring local artists, a omputer center to a full fledge performing arts center. Its literature selection is not up to par but tbere is something for everone. Its adjuant to a local neighborhood park, Andre Aggasi School and is one of the highlights of the West Side smile....

Just an FYI WLV. Your library hours on Google say that you close at 7pm Mon. - Thurs. instead of 8pm.

It is very big and has a security officer on duty and also has sensors if you attempt any book or movie theft ..plus it is connected to an art center which offers dance classes and has poetry readings. Another plus is it has a HUGE park connected to all of that! Peaceful

This is ab EXCELLENT place to spend time, especially for children. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is security I'm there for you feel safe. The library is clean and organized. I was only there to print out some important paperwork but it was easy to get to use the computers to do so. I will definitely go back to this Library to take care of my business as well as just to look up some interesting reads.

Very helpful...needed the computer lab to revise my resume..... Was not able to convert a pdf to a file that i can edit......make a long story after several attempts from a woman that i didnt get her name was so helpful.... Her shift was ending and she punched out and continued to help me.........after her relief came (ms Ashley) picked up right where lady x is whay i will call her left off both ladies were a blessing to me today the resume was for a job interview..... Ashley retyped my whole resume and did a great job i am so in debt to these two ladies thank you guys so much...... By the grace of GOD i got the job...... Ladies i owe you lunch!!!!!.
