I volunteer at this library and I can tell you that it's very quiet. No library is sound proof, but compared to other libraries like the Sahara West Library. Summerlin Library is very peaceful. My bosses are extremely nice and funny. I've made plenty of friends and the smell of books is the greatest. Of course from time to time there are noisy children, but that happens in all libraries. Very organized and small enough to not feel like you're in a void.

Summerlin Library is an excellent place to study, write a book, and do research. The staff at this library are helpful, friendly and courteous. It's also a quiet place to sit and read magazines or use computer on hot summer days.....

Stupid security guy said I couldn't plug my computer into an outlet that is available to use. I asked him to show me where we could find a spot to plug in and we spent 5 minutes looking and found nothing. Then he suggested I take a study room which put me at a time limit of 2 hours. But the library was open for longer than 2 hours. Where do I plug in after 2 hours? Not computer friendly and security is extending their duties into more than security. Is the guard necessary?

Great library in the most upscale Bart of the Las Vegas Valley. Very upscale, clean and safe. I wish I could afford to live in Summerlin. Someday!

I have gone to this library a few times but I can never find the book I'm looking for it is always noisy and when I need to study. I have to get up and leave! It is completely unbelievable! When you need to get a book I would just call in and ask for the book. They most likely will not have it, so you will have to wait a couple days for them to get it from another library. In conclusion, this library is completely unreliable for a good study session and for getting books.

There's so much more than books offered here. The staff is super helpful and friendly. All kinds of activities for the kids are offered. Great networking system with the other libraries. So happy they do so much. Simply love this place. *Just wanted to update and say this is still the best library and greatest staff in town. Also Club Read for K-12 is starting soon so check in with your library to see how to get started.

A beautiful library situated in the center of the Village Center Circle with plenty of parking and good handicap access. Almost disorienting when you first walk in, but it's large and we'll laid out with a very peaceful atmosphere

Very nice library makes me want to reconsider staying in this neighborhood regardless of the continuous theft,crime,and violence now in Summerlin these days!Vert sweet staff the gentleman helping me even entertained my daughter playing peekaboo with her while helping me learn how to use the self checkout rental area!The library also has some cool events for kids and a very nice art exhibit with local art in it.Thank the lord I was blessed woth a quiet baby that lets us both enjoy this place.I highly recommend it to stop buy.Cant wait to attend all the fun events for children

Absolutely the best, most architecturally beautiful library in Las Vegas. The art gallery and stage theatre shows are always a pleasure and interesting as a cultural bonus. The Library atmosphere is very comfortable and the staff are extremely qualified, patron appreciative, and inqueries and searches are always met with a good and positive result . There's always some great informative,technical and creative workshop programs at no cost.... and Debbie Zamarino's Scrapbooking class is an ongoing artistc win. Enjoy

The staff doesn't realize the library is paid for by the public and for the public. They feel you're on their turf. They don't like being interrupted if they're talking to each other. You will hear a STERN- "YES"? If they see you waiting to ask a question. When you thank them, don't expect "You're welcome", expect the head to turn away- back the person whom they were chit chatting with or looking up something on the computer. They know they're in a nice library, built by taxpayers money in the best part of Summerlin, perhaps this instigates the attitude. The fact they never speak up to parents who allow their children in the adult section, or for that fact anywhere, to run and shout, and adults to carry on loud, to me, speaks of their lack of respect for the patrons. Wake up! We're reading and studying for crying out loud. Unbelievable. SMH.
