They seem to have a great library system going on here. This place has a great program for the youth and librarians seem to be very knowledgeable and pleasant. The Graphic Novels are plentiful too. Very happy to see they have a lot of those.

I've been coming here for 30+ years. Many things have obviously changed, but this has always been a wonderful place. The staff is helpful and friendly. The redesigned (2017ish) children's area is great!

The Kirkwood Public Library is the best library I've ever used. Between the connected libraries there is a huge selection, and the website makes it easy to request and hold books. All your hold books end up on an easy to grab shelf and it's great. Their DVDs have long rental dates also which is rare to find. I moved away from Kirkwood last year but continue to use this as my library. The building itself is so nice and inviting.

September 2019 Update: Still good. Their IT could do a better job of provisioning and configuration to improve workstation performance. Checking out books here since like 1972. Though they turned over the entire fiction section in the last decade. And the authors of today are not as good as the authors or yesteryear. KPL is primarily a fiction library with a large periodicals and large DVD rental. They have a large selection of music on CD and foreign film DVDs. With the WW Keysor school, in kindergarten, we'd go to the basement and listen to tales told by story tellers in the 1970s.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend summer and winter reading. Wide selection but not too many books about LGBT characters.

Besides their one of a kind children's library downstairs, their staff is extremely friendly and helpful on all accounts. This needs to be your go to library.

This is honestly one of my favorite libraries in the city. I love how quiet it is and yet so lively when it comes to family. I love working on homework and projects here. So bright and welcoming right in the middle of Kirkwood. I love going here even though I don't live in the area. There are perfect places for quiet and family to bond. They have such great selections of books and movies and more.
