Not a place to visit if your asking me is it a library yes but if your listening to a book online don't think you can close your eyes or out your head down not block out everything except the book that is being read to you through your headphones cause public hear means whatever the security guy decided that day for you so no it's not a publis library

Windsor has such a great atmosphere and the staff is amazing. I'm using the Central more often now and it's different (not the cozy, welcoming feel) but the staff is equally helpful and access to the material I need is outstanding! Plus, the DVD selection rocks!! If it's not there, it's probably somewhere and, if it's not the movie or documentary of-the-moment, it arrives efficiently. Thanks all you hard working staff and volunteers!

Una biblioteca genial, en especial para los más pequeños. Cuenta con una sala para niños que también tiene juegos. Además agenda de actividades muy interesante.

Very few electric plugs for laptaps. Too many sleeping bums hanging around too. The new Rohnert Park Library is a blessing and well worth the effort.

Wide selection, spacious, bus stop in front.

I love this library!!! It is a good size library for the size of the town. There is also a genealogy building!

Melinda Morris

Wonderful community resource but crowded with homeless. Lady washing her hair in the bathroom sink and the stench near the computers is nauseating. Afraid my purse will be stolen. Will use other branches. It’s an awful shame.

Yes homeless people use the Library and not all of them use the computers. And most of the one's I know use the Library for multiple reasons I know as I happen to be one of these very homeless people mentioned in over reviews. I'm greatfull it's open so I have a place to look for housing on my own tablet or phone. During the winter it's a place to stay warm and enjoy videos and books.

Decent library, computers and wifi available. Staff has been rude several times and generally make me feel I'm unwelcome. Male staff staring into and even entering the women's room is VERY VERY unwelcome! <.<

Martin Figueroa

Great staff. Nice collection if books

Julie Mallett

The staff is less than friendly. I suggest finding out anything you need to know before going, so you don't feel like your inconveniencing anyone. On the plus, you can use the computers for an hour a day. Print stuff out for 15 cents a page. They don't have a huge selection of book. I have not checked out DVDs yet.

I grew up in the North Beach Library, and now I've raised two children in the Sonoma Valley Library. Claire, Daphne, and all the staff are like family. The internet works, the branch has a great collection, the hold service is efficient, AND there are great readings, book sales, and music events for all ages.

Except for the fact that my expensive, locked bicycle was stolen from just outside the library, the staff is fantastic. Always helpful and polite. A few times the homeless people got on my nerves, but this is not a big problem as most people are respectful and follow the library rules.

Brandon Taylor

This place sucks! Way too many people use the computers for their own enjoyment, like homeless people. Not a good place for students unless you have a laptop, the computers are always occupied with people even though there is extra room for computer use in the kids section. We need more places for people specifically, that are just trying to further their education; and that make good use of the public's resources, or maybe I just need to buy a laptop.

Free knowledge, also fines have been eliminated. Public libraries are special places, I always look forward to coming here.

I don't know if Sonoma County realizes how wonderful their library is! From your home computer you can reserve a book from anywhere in three or four counties and have it sent to your nearest branch...mine is a few blocks away! There is a genealogy building behind the main branch that houses not only records for Sonoma County, but makes available computers and databases to research your own family history. It was there that I found my great-great's names on a ship's log, disembarking in Galveston from Czechoslovakia. From your home computer you can access census logs from anywhere in the U.S. There is story-time for children, old book sales from Friends of the Library ( I love those!) computer access, multimedia, and other stuff. The reference librarians there requested a rare book from Meriwether County, Georgia for me and I was able to read it here in Santa Rosa. They also host special public education informational meetings. They are the best.

Average library. Easy to get a card even if you don't reside there. Free wifi.
