My family and I had a great time on our visit there. My daughter really like the Gipper.

Balentine Samarripa

One of the most important places to visit when you can. A very important part of the Americans way of life. With out his hand in (my) life. Most of us would be under a different government. Not a good one. A great place for Americans to teach your child and grandchildren, why we and they have freedoms that other countries want. He made our country strong again. He had strong family faith and family values. Thank God.

Awesome experience, great place to visit with children, lot of history, very emotional to hear President Reagan's voice as one reads his goodbye letter after his diagnosis. Great time.

Bruce Ferjulian

Very well done chronology of Ronald Regan's presidency. The main hall with Air Force One was impressive. Wish I had made prior arrangements to look at the papers in the private research library. Definitely worth the trip.

Troy Rawling

I loved this place, it was very inspirational and it was awesome to view.

Georgiana Johnson

Love the view over looking the city and the replica of Air Force One and Marine One makes for a beautiful picture backdrop. The cafe is a bit pricey

saint r

I would have rated it 5 * but the secret service exhibit could be a better show case. I do believe the museum could contact the secret service and add more to their exhibit

The massive special exhibit wing is the main reason to come back. Presently the Pompeii exhibit is open and fantastic. Lots of Roman artifacts with panels describing life at that time. Some post eruption artifacts as well. Fantastic to see. This is a very large presidential museum. All one sided pro Reagan as expected. You see an introductory video, his years as governor of California, his election as president, assassination attempt, oval office, many rooms going over what he did as president, and then the post presidency years. There is a massive side wing which holds the 747 Air Force One exhibit with a list of all his travels, presidential motorcade, and helicopter. A pub with snacks is also located here. The Cafe and museum store are located near the entrance. Quite a selection in the cafe, including gluten free options.

Lillie Deans

The Pompeii Exhibition is haunting, heartbreaking, and awe inspiring. Highly recommend.

My favorite library in all of California, it’s a great place to learn about our nations history during the cold war. The library is educational for grown ups and little ones, it’s amazing getting to see and learn about president Reagan’s legacy also his personal life. My family really enjoyed going inside the Air Force one a nice experience feeling presidential! The library is located in Simi valley surrounded by nature and hills truly beautiful views. I greatly recommend it for a day out with the family kids learn about our nations history and have fun as well, the ticket price per person is reasonable. I enjoyed taking photos of my family, the exhibitions and the beautiful nature.

Amy Eichelberger

A good place to spend the day. There is plenty to see and do and learn here. It’s a great place for kids and adults as well. I went to see the special Titanic exhibit, which was excellent. I stayed to see the multitude of collections of items from the various stages of this president’s life.

Joe Avalos

What a beautiful property

CARMELA DELITE

The library was cool! They also had a special exhibit of Pompeii which was awesome!

CHAR L

Carefully planned and executed presidential library with a full replica of the oval office, the actually air Force one, Marine one, and the motorcade. The presidents life was presented meticulously with artifacts, recordings, holograms, and more. Free parking lot, credit accepted, Groupon deal available for the tickets.

We had a great time and it was very educational for our kids!

Visit this place and be reminded of a time when the office of the President of the United States was an office that was respected, revered, and was a place of integrity, discipline, and honor... Be you Republican, Democrat, or independent, this amazing place allows you to experience a masterfully curated multisensory journey through time showcasing one of our most prolific American Presidents and leadership icons. A man and President who was far from perfect, and far from the mythical figure many of my fellow Republican friends believed him to be. But he was everything we needed him to be when we needed it most... A true leader that set in motion decades of American prosperity without alienating us from the rest of the world's nations... this prosperity came from uniting us with many of the countries around the world, and through that unity, brought about the end of the cold war... among many other world altering events of the time. For me, this library did an outstanding job showcasing the man, not the myth...a man whose life's story is so much greater than just the 8 years he spent in office, and it was a rare treat to learn about him and Nancy from the perspective of just being real people, living real lives. One of the first exibits in the main hall is a series of three hand written essays he'd done in school that recounted events in his life that affected him so profoundly, that they subconsciously charted his life's course. Two were about his foot ball playing and how working as a team made him greater than the sum of his parts, and the third told about the fear and elation he'd experienced in a freak storm that hit him as he rowed a canoe over a lake. Characteristically, this showed within him the value he held in the input of those around him, and spoke to his sense of fearlessly succeeding where others feared to tread. He was most certainly one of a kind, and most certainly a President who's actions and deeds inspired a new generation to greatness, and personified the America of the 1980's. For me, the true heart of this place was in learning about Ronald Reagan's full, colorful, and robust life! A life full of overcoming all the obstacles placed in his path, and never shying away from reinvention at a time in American history when heros were born, not invented on Instagram from thin air, and the American dream was possible for all those who worked hard enough for it. It was a true look- back to a time when we as Americans looked up to our Presidents as bastions of morality... integrity...guidance...and hope, not just because they held the highest office in the land but because they were heroes that earned it through hard work, perseverance, and a warrior's spirit. Me, the naive kid who watched Reagan lead a nation through eight years of speeches on TV, being only 3 when he was first elected, and just 11 years old when he left office, I whole heartedly believed in him...trusted him... and looked up to him as both a great man and even greater US President. As I grew older and more educated, I learned truths about him and all politicians that I'd never known, nor could even comprehend as an impressionable child. These truths took much of the guilding from my perception of President Reagan, but none from Ronald Reagan the man. Visiting his library made me wish for the return of a President built from the same stuff as him; a man of integrity who valued the MANY, far more than he did the ONE... while also providing a spectacular view of the valley as I stepping back in time to the '80s, and relieved many of the world shattering events of that time. The tour made me acutely aware that no other man but Reagan could have navigated this great country through all of it! Our 40th President was destined from childhood to serve this country, not by chance, but by perseverance, hard work, and by grabbing destiny with both hands and holding on tight. His library shares his and Nancy's story with the world, and serves as a place to inspire all who step through its doors!

The Happiest Place on Earth! Been there 8 times! It just never gets old...

Awesome experience, must c

Paul DiSalvio

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is a great place to see, because it has an incredible view of the valley area and the interactive pieces in the museum are a lot of fun! The buildings are spectacular, the Air Force One airplane is beautiful and elegant in its own way. Also, the Pompeii exhibit is outstanding! The bodies were just mesmerizing, and the positions were quite frightening when you think about it. I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't done so already!

Connor Stiles

The Pompeii exhibit was fantastic. You can learn so much about the volcanic event, and the life of the past here. Most of the artifacts were very neat and the tour wasn’t too long. It’s something very compelling and interesting. Additionally, the Reagan section was a great history lesson if you weren’t alive for his administration. They have plenty of information on his pre-presidential life, presidential life, and post presidential life. The views of Simi Valley and beyond were priceless, and the grounds are well taken care of. It’s worth the price of admission alone. The food was also very good, and fairly priced. I was expecting it to be garbage, but it pleasantly surprised me. From the views of the valley, to the great exhibits, and the unbelievable Air Force 1 display, this made for a great trip. P.S. Be wary however, the Pompeii exhibit might frighten small children.

Dick Nixon

Outside of Washington, DC, it is one of the most memorable historic places my family and I have visited. Plan to stay the greater part of a day because it will easily take one full day to view all the exhibits. The library has so much to offer all age groups - and is a very exquisite walk back in time for parents. All of the employees are fantastic and the cafeteria does not take advantage of the sole place for food. It definitely is not a "tourist trap" like other tourist areas, and the gift shop was fantastic and interesting items for yourself and others. The surrounding area the library is located is incredibly scenic, and stopping at the library is just a fantastic way to enjoy this area of California. The huge wing that holds the presidential plane (Air Force One), a presidential motorcade and the presidential helicopter are fascinating. Like the Reagans, everything is in great taste. Will do positively do again!

S Brief

Air force one was very interesting, the rest was very not hands on. There is no touching allowed on anything. I suggest this place for older people who can appreciate the history of the time of President Ronald Reagan. Admission was very expensive.

Bryce Caster

Incredibly beautiful and well-done museum. This might just be the nicest of all the presidential libraries. Make sure to check out Air Force One!

Wandern Leo

The name presidential library might be misleading to some, this is a fantastic museum about Ronald Reagan and his two therms as President of United States. But the ultimate highlight is the Air Force One, you can even board it. There is also a Marine One (helicopter), a presidential Limousine as well as a couple other vehicles. Entrance fee is rather steep (around $30) but well worth it. Very impressive and educational.

IF _ a pics paint a thousand words. ...then this is IT !

emmanul morris

Great cafeteria and gift shop with reasonably priced food and souvenirs. Quite a selection in the cafe, including gluten free options. The people are friendly and they give you a good tour of the place.

Nutin Toit

Such a great place to learn about one of the best Presidents of this great Nation.

Tim Thurman

There is so much stuff to experience here. And Ronald Reagan was such a great President

Bill Jenkins

This is a very popular tourist attraction meaning that this place gets crowded. Arrived before they open and still had to wait in line to get in. Some of the things I found of interest were the Pompei exhibit, Air Force One, and the surrounding gardens. Listening to president Reagan again brought back a lot of memories. Whether you believe in his politics or not, you have to say that President Reagan was a great communicator. This is one of the nicer Presidential Libraries and also one of the bigger ones. Docents ready and willing to answer all questions makes your visit special. On the negative side, I did feel like a steer in the herd. Recommended.

We knew we weren't gonna make it by closing at 5 pm. We arrived and the parking lot was emptying. We started walking around and found our way to the gift shop and the site of Interment for both the President and Nancy. The view in the back is phenomenal of Simi Valley. One hour later we made our way down the canyon. Obviously it would have been nice to go in but we were pleasantly surprised at what we were able to see at no cost and no crowds.

Jacqui Logan Dres

I came there to see a special exhibit on Genghis Kahn. There was no way to bypass the 60+ rooms (3 floors) on Ronald's life. As I had to wend my way through the exhibit, room after room, it was literally an epic Hollywood production starring Ronald as "America's Greatest President." It went overboard portraying him as the hero who saved America, which is more fiction than reality.

Julie Paran

A very educational and fun way to learn about the 40th President of the United States. The place has state-of-the-art displays and interactive activities. My personal favorites are Reagan's hologram, the Air Force One Pavilion, replica of the oval office and Marine One. The library also has a piece from the Berlin Wall on its grounds. This is also recommended for bird watchers. Quite pricey entrance fee but well worth it.

Asked if they take the EBT card as other LA museums do. Not only did I get a NO, I was treated like the scum of the earth. I know he's a republican, but this is California, and most kids are below the poverty level.

Greetings from heaven Blessing and peace

We ask that they also find here the science books of Rabbi Zamir Cohen as well as the book in Rabbi Shalom Arush's Faith Garde

Robert Bernal

Awesome. Must visit when in the area. $16.00 per person and free parking. Self guided tour with several staff always around to answer any questions. Actual decommissioned Air Force One on static display that you can walk thru along with Marine One.

James L

It's situated on top of a hill in Simi Valley that provides panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. The displays are educational and there something to learn for kids and adults alike. They also have various rotating exhibits (most of which charge a fee) but the one around Christmas time is certainly a delight for the kids. Besides the displays and exhibits, the whole venue is relaxing and beautiful- it's a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you live in the area it's welll worth getting a membership (plus it's tax deductible). The entire staff there is especially friendly and helpful. We love this place.

peter depaola

Very large facility with tons of history. I really enjoyed being able to walk through air force one.

Mikki Roderick Schafer

My first Presitentail library to visit, I found it fascinating, insightful and very peaceful. If you're looking for entertainment or amusement you'd be better off at Disneyland. If you're interested in broadening your knowledge of global events and uncovering interesting details about President Reagan and those connected to him you most certainly won't be disappointed. Very well worth my time!

Frank Bau

Beautyfull place.Beautyfull visitas interesting museum. A must visit place.

Justin

It was a really weird exhibit to have a gateway to Hell to witness Reagan burning

Stephan Shaffer

I love this museum, it is so beautiful, located in picturesque Simi Valley. The exhibits are very informative, walking you through each step of Reagan's life and presidential terms in office. Being able to see the actual Air-force One, and marine one is quite the experience. Even if you are not a fan of his policies, you have to experience the amazing history found here.

Steve Tupper

A fascinating look at the life of this right-wing guy. It really does take several hours to go around. Mostly really interesting. One absolute poor point is what is jokingly called "The Reagan Pub" where the amount of stuff on sale is exceedingly poor. A couple of refrigerators and a shelf of popcorn just isn't good enough.

Bee Rivera

My mother and I took a trip here recently and purchased the annual membership which includes free visits to this and other presidential libraries. There are guided tours, but it's worth it just to explore on your own, especially Air Force 1. This was a nice, relaxing visit while the rest of the family played at Six Flags, which was only about 30 minutes away. Very historical fascinating, and they have different exhibts that get showcased throughout the year. Worth a visit.

Jack Frost

Walking through this museum is a time capsule of a memorable era and an extraordinary man who changed history for the better. Perched atop the city of Simi Valley, is this monument to that shining city on a hill that Ronald Reagan hoped for this country to be. The exhibits include a replica of the oval office in the White House when Reagan was there; the air force one pavillion; the Berlin Wall slab exhibit; the 1980 and 1984 campaign exhibits; and so much more to see, hear, and experience. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is an immersive experience for young and old alike; a place to learn about what life was like once; an opportunity to teach youth about what it can be if we uphold our founding fathers' principles and constitution.

Michael de la Paz

Such an amazing place to visit. Knowing the history behind one of the country's finest leaders. Beautiful replica of the oval office and actual Air Force One used by president Reagan.

You will love this place if you are a fan of ronald regagan

Really Bored

Great library. 6 stars. The tour guide was very helpful and very kind.

Steven Smith

Has the typical items you would expect to see at a presidential library and museum. However, the main attraction is one of the planes once used as Air Force One.

Barbara's Maple

Good parking for cars and RVs. Library in beautiful setting. Lots of information. Reasonably prices cafeteria w excellent food selection. A must see.

James Gross

Memorable place of history. If visiting during an exhibit and have never been here before, suggest doing the memorial library tour first as you might not get to finish before it closes, 7 hrs go by quick...

Olivia Covarrubias

A great display of US history when President Ronald Reagan was in office and when America had a sense of humor. A great place for both Republicans and Democrats alike. You can even see the flash cards that President Reagan once used to tell his jokes during his presidency. You can climb aboard Air Force One and see his legendary limo. Other interesting items you will find are a piece of the Berlin wall and I can still hear Reagan saying, "Tear down this wall!" I love the fact that he wanted to tear the wall down, and now Trump wants to put a wall up in our own back yard. Times have changed.

George Sollars

The best time going to it

Joanie G.

Sweetheart Dinner and Dance was amazing! Took the hubby for Valentine's Day and we were very impressed with everything. From the decorations, to the live band, and the delicious spread, I honestly couldn't believe what a bargain this was. Great way to avoid the V-Day crowds and have a delicious meal and some quality time with your significant other. Highly recommend!

Rodney Klein

Great place to visit. Very well done. Kept up to date. Better than the Clinton Library.

Samuel Liberman

A flattering depiction of one of the worst presidents in American history. No mention of the lasting negative effects of Reagan’s policies.

Donovan Hadaway

An amazing place. Top notch in every sense of the word. Immaculate and spacious facilities. Exhibits have the perfect mix of facts and perspective. Reagan's leadership and personal charisma were a much needed jolt for an America that was teetering on hard times. It's good to remember.

Marcella Nichols

Really cool place to get to know Ronald Reagan! The museum is beautiful, and there are plenty of staff around to answer questions and tell you interesting facts. I loved learning about his childhood, his relationship with his wife Nancy, her role as the First Lady, the secret service, and all the amazing things Reagan did for California. Usually I am bored at museums, but this one is excellent and kept me interested. They have put a lot of work into this place. It’s definitely worth visiting! What a wonderful and fun experience we had.

Samantha Merry McNeilly

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting all of the presidential libraries under the US National Archives and Reagan’s is by far the most breathtaking of them all. The views of Simi Valley are incredible and the privacy of the library can be very relaxing on a nice Summer day. I would visit again, bring a book and “camp out” on a bench just enjoying all that Mother Nature has to offer.

Charles Roth

Best President. Best Library. Period.

Michael Botello

Honestly I came here for the Da Vinci exhibit. All politics aside I felt that that the staff smelled the liberal on me. The staff kept following us around the whole time. Like stop already. Lol. The exhibit was ok. The one at the Denver nature and science exhibit on Da Vinci was wayyyyy better. Over all, I want my 25 bucks back. I would not come here again.

Andrew R

Very cool place. We loved it. Its to bad crazy liberals can just leave one star reviews over and over. MAGA

Rude Boy

Wonderful exhibits;(although it certainly overly glorifies the Reagan administration) all exhibits were well displayed and placarded well. The best feature of the visit is definitely the older B707 Air Force One and older Marine One. That was a treat! The docents and staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The library is well maintained and all restrooms are very clean. The Reagan Cafe deserves a highlight. There are a good variety of choices and the prices are reasonable; but, the commendation goes to staff member, Eileen. Eileen is what is missing in today's customer service. As others just go through the motion of service, Eileen embraces it and goes beyond just making you feel like a customer. The welcoming smile and enjoyable banter doesn't take much effort or time but it sure makes an incredible impression. KUDOS to Eileen!

Larry Jones

It was well done. It was also a love story, Nancy and Ronnie.

Laura Brooks

I have been to several special exhibits. All Fabulous!

Paul Kaesberg

this really is more a celebration of all things Reagan than a history museum that I would enjoy more. That the first gallery is titled "Evolution of the Great Communicator" tells you what it is going to be like. I liked the Nixon library much better. It was a great history of his presidency.

Cameron Manderson

The shuttle line for the holiday lights took over 2 hours. Raise the prices and hire more shuttles

David Nia

One of the best museum I ever have been.

Rachel Johnson

Great place to visit. Our family have visited several Presidential libraries, and this has been our favourite so far.

Randy Chandra

This was my first time to come to any US Presidential Library, and surely I wasn’t disappointed. This library is located about 1.5 hours from West LA, and got every information on Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy Reagan. The staffs were nice and courteous, and very informative. The stars of the collection are Air Force One and Marine One. Don’t miss the opportunity to see how the presidents travel in style.

Dave Rockwell

Great place to take children of all ages. Historical

Janet Creamer

This was the first time I visited a presidential library and I wasn't sure what to expect. As it turns out, it's just a museum about Reagan's life, but that's okay because I learned things I didn't know. It was really interesting - and I enjoyed touring through air force one and seeing the helicopter. There is also currently a Titanic exhibit and reading the stories about the real people on the boat was very interesting. Plus a bonus: amazing views from the patio at the back of the museum!

Amy J. Delevingne

Ben Shapiro was just here. Promoting: "The Right Side of History", to a sold out room in California? Cool. This was the discussion if you missed it. "This book may be the most important that I’ve ever written, because it’s about the crisis that Western Civilization is facing right now. The freedoms we enjoy are built upon the twin notions that every person is made in God’s image, and that human beings are created with the capacity to reason. These two ideas — revelation and reason — built Jerusalem and Athens, which in turn helped build the West. We can thank these values for the birth of science, the dream of progress, human rights, prosperity, peace, and artistic beauty. But we must recognize that these values are being threatened by moral subjectivism and the rule of passion. Too many of us have lost sight of the moral purpose that drives us as individuals to be better. By abandoning the values represented by Jerusalem and Athens, we are watching our civilization collapse before our eyes. My book is a stark warning, a call to spiritual and intellectual arms, and hopefully the first step in getting our society back on track."

Brad Hudson

Absolutely outstanding presidential library. Highly recommend for all ages. Beautiful grounds and amazing exhibits. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Rusty Thompson

We couldn't have had a better time if we tried. Granted, I'm biased as a Reagan fan, but this place was so well put together that my wife and son thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. It's so much more than a library, with exhibits, videos, interactive "games", the air force one and marine one exhibit, and the presidential motorcade. The leadership situation room experience is a must do for groups as well!

Ian Mckenna

It is like a museum of America in the 20th century. So much history there. The grounds are spectacular, with views of the mountains all around and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. The grand hall is magnificent, with Air Force One and Marine One offering a glimpse into what it is like behind the scenes with the President. Great cafeteria and gift shop with reasonably priced food and souvenirs.

Karpis Maksudian

Excellent place for the Best President!

Valter Nasufi

In this museum,we understands the power of the United States of America and the challenges that this great country has had over the decades, especially the great contribution it has given to the Cold War. This place is amazing as it has gathered many things in one place. Awesome objects like Air Force One, helicopter of president and other original things. Also here you can see all the history and contribution that has been given by one of the lfamous US Presidents Rinald Regan. It is worth visiting. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful place.

Jeff Glover

For me, this was a very emotional experience. Regardless of one's political views, there is much to learn at this place. The power of one person to change the world was brought to my mind again and again. The grounds are beautiful and the place itself is awe inspiring.

Jennifer Joseph

I wouldn't go out of my way to see this. The Pompeii was great to see, but there are no signs on where the entrance is or how to get into the building, more doors are lock then able to get into the building. This place is the most frustrating library to get around with no books.

Michael Ries

My first presidential library visit, and I must say it wasn't at all what I expected. The foundation does an amazing job of providing a framework of Reagan's early and most formative years, laying the foundation of who generations of Americans after would know. The Oval Office and Air Force One are really cool, and honestly awe inspiring. Even as a huge Reagan fan, I promised myself I would look through a critical view of anything resembling "here is the great leader, see how great he is and he is getting greater all the time." The foundation makes sure we see the man that was Reagan, and all of his flaws that helped him be such a great leader. Recommend the tour for everyone!! Lady on Air Force One had zero sense of humour.

Bill Hurtado

Very professionally run and staffed. All except for anyone who has the misfortune of interacting with a woman named Jan. She is short tempered, rude and downright mean. She needs to exploit her demeanor at free venues and earn her pay based on the cost of admission. If she is a volunteer then she needs to move on. If this is court ordered then for God’s sake someone sign off and save us all.

Mel O'Sullivan

We were really pleasantly surprised by this place. He's by far my favorite president for his charm and diplomacy so an added bonus. A really great and interesting day out.

Mike M

Traveled to the area for a work trip and decided to hit the Presidential library with another co-worker. It's a great drive up in the mountains with a beautiful backdrop. Once we checked in, it was a first class experience, from start to finish. Getting to see the entire life, & history of our 40th President, and walk through some great exhibits.

Anthony Haimila

Great library, good information, great views, and the whole place is a well thought out maze of info. The only thing I would change is the workers at the café because they were not the nicest people.

Teresa Olsen

We loved it! We have always loved Ronald Reagan and the values that he stood for. This beautiful museum is an amazing tribute to Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy. His love for God, his wife, and fellow Americans is an inspiration. There was so much more to learn about this incredible man than we thought we already knew. Ronald Reagan's Air Force One plane (which can be walked through) is inside a glass wall building overlooking the valley. A beautiful setting on a hilltop with amazing panoramic views of Simi Valley. Highly recommended!

Laurie Hasler

It doesn't matter your political leanings (we don't lean with Reagan/GOP), it is worth stopping here if you are in the vicinity of Simi Valley. It's amazing to visit one of the presidential historical sites, and the setting chosen for the Reagan Memorial is gorgeous overlooking Simi Valley. We stopped there en route from LA to San Francisco before we had kids. We'd love to take our kids there in a couple years so they can experience it.

Garrison Moratto

Quite possibly the finest 20th century President, the Ronald Reagan Library is worth the visit for critics and admirers alike. A master stroke of museum presentation you will follow the former President through his earlier years through his terms as governor and all the way to the Oval Office and the pivotal decisions that brought an end to the Cold War. The old Air Force one is also there and he walkthrough is worth the long line. Views outside overlooking the valley are stunning. Marine One is also there (but spoiler, it’s actually Lyndon Johnson’s). A fantastic gift store rounds out a gripping experience and great fun for political buffs and passive tourists alike.

Zack Cupp

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library was one of the most amazing and enlightening experiences of my entire life. I know that sounds like a bit much, but it's one of those things you have to experience for yourself. My wife and I absolutely loved this place! And it wasn't what either of us expected. We walked in expecting just another museum, but it was so much more than that! It was a reverant display of the powerful legacy of one who lived a life of integrity, honesty, confidence, humility, authenticity, and love. My wife and I were moved to tears many times due to the genuine and weighty atmosphere that this place carried. But overall, my favorite part was the education. We didn't know much about Reagan's life and presidency, but we left informed and were imparted with a greater measure of wisdom. It was a delight to learn about th world during his presidency. But the one thing that made the greatest impact was seeing a beam from the World Trade Center. This was painful to see and was a reminder of what that terrible day, causing me to be a little more grateful to be alive. And to end it all are the views all around the place. Excellent vistas! This place is truly a must see, no matter your political affiliations.

Herwig Felber

This place is stunning in every way. I can recommend it to anybody. For me personally it is the best place I have visited in California so far!

Jack Roberts

Being interested in history we knew we didn’t want to miss this, but we had no idea just how great it would be. We arrived early knowing we needed a handicapped parking spot and we were greeted by warm and professional staff. The docents were all so informative and helpful. There were a few school groups there, but all kept under control by attentive staff. We also purchased the $7 self guided tour. Fabulous! The organization and set up from President Reagan’s early life through his years after office is so well done. Walking through Air Force One and Marine Helicopter was informative and a treat! We enjoyed lunch at the pub and the breathtaking views. Pictures at the piece of The Berlin Wall and a moment to pay respects at President and Mrs Reagan’s memorial topped off a very special day.

FCR NP

Pretty grand place. They have the old Air Force One in the building and you can go in inside to get a closer look. Nice scenery and great presentation of Reagan's works, accomplishments and achievements .

Trixie Ricablanca

You can go inside the airforce 1 and the presidential helicopter. My favorite part id the garden outside.

Maksym Mueller

great if you want to brainwash your kids with anti-communist ideals. otherwise, really disappointing.

Anne Dick

Among the best of facilities in organization and layout.. Personnel is very courteous and helpful.

Maria Buynak

Beautiful location. My late husband worked Secret Service protecting the Reagans, Ford, and the younger Kennedy and his wife. Here's a very funny, yet very true story he told me: during the Star Wars Premier, he was given "bathroom detail" while Mrs. Reagan was 'powdering her nose.' This meant he kept the ladies room off limits, no exceptions. Several female stars could not understand why this 'man' was telling them they couldn't use the restroom. His short and to the point answer: " The First Lady is in there." Guess what the stars' interpretation of that was.

Wonderful time at the RRPL, first titanic. Exhibit was super. A year or so later, Leonardo davinci... Loved it.

Great exhibits, friendly people. If you are handicap and the parking lots are full you will need to park down a long hill that has a barricade on the passenger side of the car making it difficult to get out. There are shuttles, but you have to climb over the barricade to get to the sidewalk and then back over the barricade to get into the shuttle. There needs to be more signage as to options for the handicap to park.

Great Presidential Library! Visited their guest exhibit as well...heard from many locals that their guest exhibits are always great! Highly recommend getting tickets for those when they're in town.

A must see place if you're visiting Simi Valley. If you are planning a visit, here are a few tips to consider. Please note, my visit was on Labour day weekend, your experience on other days may vary. Getting there is very easy and the drive is beautiful. Keep in mind the parking area is limited in space. I got there 10 min after opening (10:10 am) and found a parking spot at the upper parking level. When I left at around 12:30, cars were parked along both sides of the entrance road almost halfway down the hill! At 10:10 am there was a small line up at the entrance to the museum for ticket purchase, which led out into the courtyard. There was a line for general admission, online ticket ourchases and a member's line. Considering that the folks that had purchased ticket online still had to wait in a line, I could not see the advantage of doing so. My wait was about 15 min to get my ticket. I think they could streamline the entrance process a bit as you have to lineup to get your tickets, lineup to get in the museum, then line up to either enter either the main museum or special exhibit. Once inside, the various sections are well-laidout, interesting and informative. You get a great sence of who President Regan was, and how his environment help shape him to become President and how world events helped shape and define his Presidency. The replica of the oval office was very fascinating. Unlike other large museums, I would say this museum is intimate and very easy to navigate around. The aircraft display is simply amazing. Although I did not visit the cafeteria, it seemed to be a great place to have a snack or lunch. The grounds outsude and views of the vally bellow are simply breathtaking. Although I did get a speaker wand at the entrance for an extra $7, I found myself not using it much as the displays provided adequate information. A great destination for the whole family. Hope you enjoy!

In my opinion the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library was absolutely breath taking. The location is beautiful in many ways. The library has so much interesting facts and information. This is a must see and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Paul R

I really hope this place doesn't get burned down by the wildfires.. Such a beautiful library.

This was the 1st Presidential Library we visited and I suspect the others will be a letdown in comparison. We went during an off period (end of January) so no problems with parking, purchasing entry tickets or seeing and using any of the interactive exhibits. We did purchase the $7 handheld audio tour device but not sure it was necessary. Enjoyed the tour of Air Force One--not as luxurious as expected but that plane went into service almost 50 years ago. If desired, a photographer will take your picture (5 shots) of you boarding Air Force One. We did purchase 2 of the pics for $31 and felt it was a worthwhile momento. There were 2 places to get lunch but we were short on time so didn't visit. The views of Simi Valley are beyond stunning. Spent about 3 1/2 hours there and felt we saw most everything. If you're in the Los Angeles area, would recommend taking the day to go for a visit.

This place is awesome. What a wonderful time capsule awaits you inside. Situated on top of a mountain with 360° views of Simi Valley and all the surrounding rolling hills, the Reagan Library is a superb way to spend a day. The grounds are immaculate. The library architecture is modeled after his country ranch. With picnic grounds overlooking the valley, and highway 101 leading to Ventura County, you can relax while enjoying a hot meal cooked to order. Or if you prefer, you can grab a cold meal, with wine or beer, and dine in the breathtaking Air Force I Pavilion. The Library is FULL of items, such as the Presidential china sets, the motorcade, the actual 737 AF1 jetliner, and tons of artifacts from Reagan's life. Nancy gets her fair share of representation too. There are always major events going on such as book signings from famous people in politics, to historical exhibits from throughout the world, to formal dinner dances, and holiday parties. I HIGHLY recommend getting a membership as you will want to come back again and again.

Don't waste your money. If you're in California, go to the Nixon Library instead. I've been to 5 presidential libraries: this one is nothing but a money-making TV commercial. Unlike the other presidential libraries, they do not tell Reagan's presidency in a balanced fashion; they only make him out to be a saint. I was ashamed. This is a crass, commercial operation, through and through. They actually had a photographer to snap your picture as you boarded AirForceOne, for which you had to pay $10-15. And since becoming a member, they've sent me COUNTLESS mailings for further donations, a Christmas gift catalog, offers for pins, pens, and all kinds of items with his name plastered on it. NO OTHER PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY DOES THIS!! Staff was snobby and curt. They think too highly of themselves and their pretty red jackets. I dared to tell them I did not want my picture taken as I boarded the plane, and almost as if I was being punished, they made me GET OUT OF THE LINE and wait behind 12 more people who had been behind me!! Today, I got yet another solicitation for $$, this time buy collectible pins for $50. Believe me, this is not of the caliber of the other 4 presidential libraries I've visited. It's big, biased, commercial, and classless.

Great exhibit!

Juanita Nichols

Very interesting day out. To make the most of it, you WILL need a full day (get there early). Hopefully there won't be droves of school kids there when you go. Thankfully we arrived about the same time as several buses were disgorged of their young cargo so we could do the special Pompeii exhibit while the sprogs were taking in the Reagan side of things. By the time we came out of the Pompeii exhibit and had a quick lunch, all was quiet in the Reagan part of the library.

Soraya Jaramillo

A place to take my guests. Walking inside the air force one it’s an amazing experience. The cars used by the presidents and the museum itself is worth a visit. I been there few times and will continue to take my guests there. Love USA.

Madeline Pacheco

A really hot destination

M V

Overall I had a great time and found the experience very educational. I deduct a star because at the end, when I was purchasing a book on my way out, the cashier (Cashier 242), was rude and put a damper on the very end of my visit. Everyone else was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Su G

This place was awesome! So much history and information. Well worth the time.

Sharon Gail

Our teenager enjoyed The World of Da Vinci exhibit, touring Air Force One, the replicated Oval Office and South Lawn. Plus, beautiful views of the valley from inside and outside of the buildings.

Dave Adams

We have been to several other presidential museums and this is the biggest and the best we have seen so far.

Natasha Haas-Williams

Very wonderful library museum about one of the greatest presidents we've had in this country. It is a fitting memorial to Former President Ronald Regan and First Lady- memorializing not only his work as our Nation's Leader but his life in whole life in general. We visited during another presentation, The Leonardo DaVinci exhibit. Very nice however not as nice as the tribute to the Regan administration. It can become very crowded. Adults are $25/ea and kids 2-10 $15/ea.

Noah Godard

A great museum with fairly bipartisan appeal. The exhibits that come through are especially interesting, but just coming to see the library itself (and Air Force one) is always fun.

Matthew Biggs

I have been to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library several times. Each time, it got better and better. The tour of the museum and the attractions is very nice. Perfectly located atop the mountain -- creating beautiful views for a sunset in the evening. The gift shop is also very nice. Well priced, as well.

Marina McCogan

Went with my Veteran friend Lee and my hubby. I enjoyed all exhibits, loved the food and was absolutely satisfied with the gift shop. I plan on coming back.

Lex Parker

Love the location, the artifacts and the ability to walk through AF one!

Robin Gagliano

This place is wonderful everyone is very kind n helpful. Dont miss this attraction anytime of the year.

40th American President Ronald Reagan’s Museum. One of the American Presidential Museums with best view.

Jason

Amazing Museum/ Library, stunning views. Great way to spent your day. This is one of the most important museums regarding United States History and Culture. Great exhibits and friendly staff

Aj Wells

This place awesome. But they need to have restroom open outside at the parking area. But other than that everything else is awesome.

Erik Price

This place was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend and I will go back. Regardless of your politics, there are so many fascinating displays, artifacts and pieces that bring the history to life. When you can see things in person vs. reading about it, or watching it on TV, it is just a whole other experience. The sounding hillside and gardens are so peaceful and quiet. The views are gorgeous. I highly recommend to go visit. Take your family and enjoy it. Please be respectful.

James W. Storey

What an awesome day out. Been there twice now and it doesn’t get old. It can be extremely busy so good idea to call ahead to get an idea of the ‘traffic’. If you like to spend time reading everything then you should allocate the whole day. They say 4 hours but there is way too much to read in that time. If you go at Christmas time you can also see ‘presidential Christmas trees’ exhibits. Planning to go again next year. Love it! We also were fortunate enough to see the titanic exhibit This time.

Josh B

This place has really great vistas of the area. The exhibits are usually very nice thought out, and the venue is pleasant to visit.

Edward Pages

What a wonderful place to relive history n historical events. So much to see n learn i doubt u can do it all in one day. We became members n have been back many times. The presidential plane n helucopter r an absolute must see.

Monica Adame

This place is an absolute must see. It gives you a renewed sense of Pride for our country that is lacking so many today. I loved it!

Jessica Zhou Chinese Speaking Real EstateAgent-L.A

Great location with nice mountain view. Like the exhibitions.

Narine Harut

We had really nice time, very interesting and learning experience. Very well organized and maintained, wheelchair friendly. All associate very informative and really happy to help you. You can get professional picture next to presidential airplane, it's approximately $24.

Katherine Deitel

Amazing experience. My daughter went for a field trip at school and loved going in Air Force One which is not open to the public. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Nate Evans

The Library does an excellent job of conveying Regan's presidency. The museum within is incurable featuring Air Force 1 from his time as president. An excellent place for an event or just to visit.

Cassandra Yeh

My first time visiting The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.... at this very special day, 4th of July!!! There are arts & crafts, activities, games and live bands performing. All these are FREE!!! However, if you are visiting the museum too, you have to pay the admission fee. Everything in the museum is very informative and educational. The museum is well maintained. Definitely a great place for family outing. There are picnic tables outside the museum. My favorite part will definitely be seeing Air Force One in person!! It is amazing to witness part of the history. Parking: FREE!

Nic W

Not only is it relatively close to the people in Ventura county, but it is a great opportunity to learn more about one of our presidents! There’s a big plane inside the library and you can go in it! That’s my favorite part! They also have the limos and police vehicles used during the Reagan era on display! All though the exhibit is different all the time, they always have an exhibit in addition to all the normal stuff! When I went back in December, the Pompeii exhibit was on display! That was truly a work of art! They had the bones and remains from Pompeii on display! They also had a simulation room of the volcanic eruption! I personally love the Christmas time because they put out all the Christmas trees and stuff! The cafe is good , but nothing remarkable. There’s a few foods to choose from but, the selection is quite limited and not very diverse. To me it’s not really like a full restaurant, its more so like a cafeteria. The foods they do have though do taste good and are of good quality! The plot of land the Reagan library is on is really beautiful! Its got a view of moorpark and Thousand Oaks! Its also very high up off the ground too! Overall, I would come back here again!

Ron took the barber shop out of the White House and put the infamous situation room in the grounds. He was a D then became a R sometime after he was he screen actors leader. My second visit to a presidential library. Spent two hours could done more. Forgot to see the fighter jet because the Air Force One and chopper are so neat.

Arthur Lu

I went there last month and it was amazing! Loved the gravesite, White House, and Berlin Wall.

Avelino Sosa

Completely satisfied visiting this WONDERFUL PLACE. FULL OF HISTORY! BROUGHT ME BACK IN TIME! POMPEII EXHIBIT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! 2000 YEAR OLD ARTIFACTS AND HUMAN CAST FROM VESUVIUS ERUPTION. FROM CENTURY 1

Pancho villa

Expensive! $25 per person... there isnt much to do except the air force one exhibit.. thats pretty much it... plus the security guy at the main lobby was super rude.. hes the only one not wearing the red jacket...he thought he was secret service or something, get over yourself

jessica grande

Great place for the family. Good for groups. Very informative and is not boring. Lots to see and you can purchase food or snacks and gifts. Good for senior trips.

Jeannette G.

Simply amazing. President Reagan picked the perfect spot of his Library - truly a reflection of who he was as a person and president. The highlights are the replica of the oval office, Air Force One and Marine One as well as the Berlin Wall exhibit. Go early as the parking lot gets full quickly.

Sue M

Large beautiful grounds. The Ronald Reagan hologram is very moving. The whole exhibit is a fine example of a powerful man who was kind and respectful in the use of his power. We went mostly to see the Pompeii exhibit, but the library was great. The Air Force One plane really gives you a sense of nostalgia. You can take pictures throughout, just no flash. If parking says full, still drive up the hill, as people leave all the time and they never move the sign.

Julian Brown

What an amazing place. It's only the second presidential museum I've been to but it sure doesn't disappoint. Fantastic views and amazing exhibits. They're holiday events are really enjoyable as well. The staff couldn't be more friendly or knowledgeable.

Joseph Chavez

Lots of history plus traveling exhibits. Huge area dedicated to the life of President Reagan. From world events to Air Force One. The traveling exhibits typically have nothing to do with the static presidential showcase...but that is a plus! The ticket price typically includes all exhibits under the roof. Get here early, take your time. Great for families and kids doing reports on Reagan.

Karen Fox

We went to the Da Vinci exhibit and it was honestly boring if you aren’t mechanically minded. The models are cool but the explanations are all about how the exhibit builders interpreted his notebooks. It was overly technical, dry, and not interactive at all. I wanted more historical context, more “in action” demos of these models, and more interactive activities. The structural engineer in our group loved the exhibit. Everyone else did not feel the same way. So, if you’re really into mechanics you’ll enjoy it. If you’re not you may want to skip this one.

Mary Short

Don’t go if your active military or spouse: they don’t care about you- at least they’ll make you feel that way. Wendy and Stephanie up at the front counter were rude and unhelpful. Shout out to Janet, Sophia, and the rest of the staff for being better mannered and very helpful. Cool place for history. If you’re re into that sort of thing.

M. Kwan

Worth the 90 miles to visit, Reagan was right then and our President today is stating the same. Cafe is pretty good.

Tyler Gerry

Volunteers are SUPER friendly. Food is great (a bit pricey though). Gift shop is reasonably priced. This is a pretty good museum. They do a great job explaining Reagans life. The air force one exhibit is a must see.

Josh E.

Arguably the best of any of the presidential libraries! This place has everything you could want to see about one of our most accomplished presidents.

Nazaret Jamgotchian

I was impressed with the information available about the 40th President of United State. Before visiting the library, I thought I already knew enough about President Ronald Reagan, but I could say at the end of the day I left the library learing a lot about the president Reagan. It was great feeling walking through the aisles of Air Force One displayed at the museum. Every one working here was nice and friendly, I assume most of them were volunteers. Even though there is a cafeteria, but remember this not a restaurant. You don't go to the Reagan Library for food. So don't have high expectations about what you will eat, just enjoy your day learning more about president Reagan and appriciate the history of United States.

Christen Moore

world's largest gender neutral bathroom. nice!

Latinas Real Talk About Life

Staff was snobby and curt. They think too highly of themselves and their pretty red jackets. I dared to tell them I did not want my picture taken as I boarded the plane, and almost as if I was being punished.

This hotel is astonishingly beautiful! I am in love with it...I will take it to Vegas and get married with it. The wifi rocks! It’s the best place to get some sleep and it has delicious food and a pool...come if you’re tired. I want to run away on this plane and live in this nice plane. I don’t like the woman who is next to the door to plane, because i must photos with her. I hate her!!!!! She ugly and me not!!! She will ruin my picture .My boyfriend Lost and he was very scared. In the end i found his and he shown me beautiful thing in this plane. I love.

veracious 360

Regardless of what you might think about Reagan, this is an amazing place. The view of Simi valley from the back of the library is just stunning. The museum portion of the library has amazing artifacts including the car that Ronny rode in to launch his candidacy. They also offer the venue for conferences and parties and the like. The Air Force One exhibit is incredible. Rare when you get the chance to get close to something like this. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Carson Huff

Great exhibits, friendly staff, and a great view of the surrounding area.

Julie Healon

Great museum. Hours of entertainment. We spent a little over 2 hours here. We were lucky enough to be there when they had Pomepii. Great things to see. A few places for a photo op. You can walk through air Force one, and Marine one. Beautiful garden outside, overlooking the mountains. I would say, it would be boring for little ones. Maybe ten and up. There is a nice gift shop. 2 places to eat, but all they have is pre packaged salads and sandwiches. Some desserts. I guess on the weekends they have more hot foods. We did get a yummy piece of pumpkin cheesecake! Everyone we encountered was very nice. We prepaid online, and I purchased a few souvenirs, we were supposed to pick up in the gift shop, but we forgot. They even called us, but we were already about to board a plane the next day, so we donated it back. Glad we finally got out there to see it! Great place to visit, and see some awesome artifacts.

Kimberly Williamson

No matter what your political views, this is a great museum with a lot of historical items and great exhibits. The Da Vinci exhibit was amazing and much larger than I anticipated. The museum includes many unexpected exhibits (at least I was not expecting to see them!). Well worth the trip. Arrive early to get a parking space, otherwise you’ll have to park on Presidential, walk up the hill or take a shuttle. We arrived at 11am on a Wednesday and had to circle the lot a few times to get a space. When we left, around 2pm, visitors had to park on the street. Just FYI.

Ethan G

First and foremost, the Reagan Presidential Museum doesn’t participate in the Blue Star Program which provides free tickets for military families. Nearly every other presidential library participates. Such a shame that they don’t. I’m a huge President Reagan fan and I felt that the museum didn’t live up to his legacy. It felt more like a theme park. I think the donor plaques outnumbered the informative signs. “...if he doesn’t mind who gets the credit.”

Andrew Campbell

Extensive displays in a nice hilltop setting. I have been to 10+ presidential museums and this would be in my top 3. Worth the visit regardless of your flavour of politics.
