Here you will be able to see the information of real people who use the products of Pasadena Public Library (Library) in California.
At the moment this business gets a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 106 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Library is included in the category of Public library.
They are the best library in the city.
This is my favorite public library ever. It is so beautiful and the location is perfect. There is an outdoor courtyard with a coffee bar. It is open late (9pm on most weekdays). It is mostly clean and the large hall is the perfect place to work (not too loud but just enough background noise). There are quieter areas for those who prefer. Overall very beautiful library with convenient hours in a very nice part of town.
Great place and kind staff. Very good programs for children.
Beautiful architecture. Quiet and respectful people.
I want to support my local public library! great staff
This public library has a beautiful building, and their staff is excellent. Free wifi is a plus. I first came to this library when I was in high school at Glendale (Hoover HS). Love it since then!
Very rude and unprofessional employees, they do honor the first amendment. Just sad
great library you can find anything you need !
Such a cool old building and great layout, lots of books, easy to get lost. Lots of secret doors. Sparks the imagination. FYI, the security staff are super nazis about not having coffee out, my only negative comment, lol. Also, ChiefHuntingBear, lolololol. So funny
One of the best libraries I've ever been to. Clean and spacious, and they have very nice selection of books.
So hot inside. I was in there for over an hour and I was still sweating just sitting down.
Great library, my son and I spend lots of time there..
Wonderful place to read. Nice environment!
The staff and service at this iconic library are consistently outstanding. Friendly, helpful - staff will frequently go into the stacks to find a book for me. The reservation service is amazing, with an email arriving in my home overdue warnings, and enough staff on duty that I never have to wait. The building is a historic treasure. What's not to love?!?
Love this library, but especially the digital library for ebooks!! I can borrow from home:
Unbelievable beauty if this old, looking brand new, library
I think it should be better, i see Libraries in small cities, bigger and cleaner than this library.
I can only speak to the kids space where my book and research loving kids can spend hours. It's a little dark in the kids area but spacious. I love the old fire place!!
I grew up loving this library reference and law department!
Came to a few networking events here. It has a warm feeling. Very easy to spend countless hours reading away.
Pasadena has many gems, whether it's their American Craftsman houses or historic architecture from Old Town. Furthermore, another marvel of which nearly anybody will appreciate is their center of learning: The Library. This palace which houses books will captivate the inner biblophile within every person. Simply put, readers will be intrigued to find their interests permated throughout this library. In addition to books, any patron will find e-books, audio, and visual content which are categorized properly. Many books contain a sizeable amount of languages and it'll make information accessible to virtually any person whose first mother tongue isn't English. Their staff is very knowledgeable and it's more than likely that the service will provide a solid experience for many persons to continually ulitize their resources. On a final note, I love their outside decor which praises influential thinkers of the centuries. From Plato to Descartes and so on.
If you love arts and design, this is your place! The library could be a great source of inspiration and research. I Love it! ❤️ Btw they have FREE 3 hrs parking and an amazing staff service.
If you want to find a cool place to study when the temperature is in 90 deg F, this is the place. It's located across from the courthouse and about a block from the City Hall. There are tables with electrical outlets where you can use your laptops or just study. Downstairs has computers and printers. There's also a little outdoor area where you can study. Parking is in the back.
Really cool library, which has this historic charm to it. While I was only here for about an hour or so, it was a nice experience. Free parking, which is a plus. Free wifi. And woah, free books? This is a library, after all. It's 4 stories high, with this really cool winding staircases. It's cramped for sure, and the elevators made me nervous to ride them. Lots of creaking. But that's fine, because it was a cool experience to see the artchitecture. One of the better libraries in the area, definitely will come back if I need to!
Beautiful building, staff is helpful, very good place to read and work if you want quiet. Occasional noise maker, but overall great place!!
A bastion of liberal democracy--and a good place to go to enjoy a high-quality afternoon nap.
This library is MASSIVE! It's one of the biggest, if not the biggest, library I've ever been to. This library has four floors of books, a few auditoriums, study rooms, and even a coffee shop right outside. It has a very old school rustic feel to it. I went there to view one of the many programs that they have going on and the auditorium that the program was in was a very nice, large auditorium. I'm definitely going to try to come back here more often.
Terrific old-school library right in the heart of Pasadena. Wood paneled reading rooms, decent selection, with much more easily accessible or requested through their online system. Very happy to have found this library!
Its Obama
I have used libraries in Ukraine, western New york, i.e. Jamestown and Chautauqua,New York I was raised in the Boston public libraries, and lived in Seattle, Long Beach, and i have library cards to many libraries. Pasadena central and all of its branches cries "home" to me and others. This library has a thinking heart, incredible events and represents in today's world a sanctuary on many levels. The staff is superb from Central and all of its Branches. I teach the Courage to Write at La Pintoresca branch periodically throughout the year. The used books available are terrific and Central's Patio Coffee Gallery are not to miss spots.
Shhh!!! Why do you bring your babies here. Not like toddler age but straight fetus. They won't know that its a quiet zone and why your filling out your bus pass application your fetus is making noises and I'm annoyed! Other than the noisy fetuses you may encounter from time-to-time, this place is a gem! Great area to study, relax and just read. The bathrooms are only on the main floor so if you are close to combustion like I found myself, climbing those stairs will not grant you salvation. Overall great place and you can reserve books online and pick them up when their ready. Technology now a days is amazing. ALSO you can rent movies!! Not guaranteeing the quality, hell they may even be VHS' but its still a great feature. It's a Public Library so expect such. Books may be missing, or out of place but sheesh its free can't complain.
yes
Wonderful Children's Area where my granddaughter doesn't have to worry about disturbing others while she plays on the computer or with puzzles!
Was kind of loud to be a library to be honest but they have a very nice selection of books.
One of the best public libraries I've been to. 3 stories of books, a good PC lab, and tons of other neat amenities. Only topped by the Portland (Oregon) Library for me.
A great public library. The business section is excellent. The magazine and newspaper sections have a lot of material. This is a place that any reader would love to explore.
傳統歷史的圖書館 ,, 好老了喔!但內部很現代化和方便啊!
Great staff and cool building. Library selection is very good.
I love this library!
This is a great library. All the staff that have spoken to me were helpful and accommodating. The inside itself is gorgeous and the selection is great.
The architect and design of this Library is very antique. I like the auditorium inside, this location is actually huge as you walk around! The Library staff is really helpful!
If this library doesn't have what you're looking for, it hasn't been printed yet!
Love the inside of this place. Has an old school feel to it that’s great. There’s an Internet cafe of sorts down in the basement if you need to get online. You can print stuff out down there. Lots of study space in multiple different rooms. There’s a meeting room upstairs that can be reserved. Parking can be a pain much of the day here. There’s just not enough parking around. Bathrooms can be unpleasant due to the ever present homeless population that makes use of them. There’s an outdoor courtyard with a tiny cafe.
(Translated by Google) Every time I come back, I don’t know where to take my children. This time I have a chance to play in the library. How do I make a Lego movie today? The children are very excited. They can draw pictures, shoot and practice storytelling. It’s great. (Original) 每次回来都不知道带孩子去哪玩,这次偶遇图书馆有活动,今天是如何制作乐高电影,孩子们都很兴奋,可以亲手画图,拍摄,练习讲故事,太棒了
Usually a great experience. Quite. An occasional scary bathroom and I had a staff member come up to me recently and tell me every 5 minutes they were closing 15 miin in advance. She was hovering and complaining. She has been the first ever problem in over 20 yrs. Normally you can find an area with complete silence. What a joy.
Pasadena library is my favorite library, it's right across the City Hall which is a beautiful view. The library is full of books on nearly every topic and the inside looks just as magnificent as the outside.
I love this place. Old and big and well taken care of. I believe there is free parking in the back. They offer up lots of services. Great place to visit just for the architecture.
Awesome location close to my job. Plenty of computers available. Quick and easy setup to get a library card.
love going there so quiet and the best place to do homework and concentrate without any interruptions
The Service: Unfriendly staffs. No smile. When I asked them for direction... it seems like I am "disturbing" their time? The Library: Very unique library. Huge! Very historic look inside. Many different rooms/sections... it gets confusing? Never seen so many homeless inside the library.... they brought their bags and blanket to the library... and taking naps. Some people even using cell phone but no staff doing anything about it. The Parking: Private parking lot. 3 hours limit. free. but always packed.
My daughters love it
Beautiful historic building in LOVELY south pasadena. I'm from Chicago and go to this library everytime I am in L.A. Very cool and so nice to hang out at the cafe! Also, check out the books taht they sell. Their selection is super amazing!
Very big ,tons of books comfortable place to be
Handsome library
Beautiful building.
Great library for kids. A lot of events and the kids room has toys and interactive devices.
I really love this library. I've been coming my whole life since I was 7. I love to come here to study and read, but the worst thing about it is the restroom. The men's room is always filthy because homeless are always taking a bath using the sinks. I can't really stay here long because if I need to use the restroom I can't after going into the men's room and seeing homeless men in the stalls doing who knows what, and homeless men at the sinks with all their items strewn out on the counter and a horrible stench. It's not that they don't clean the restroom, it's that there are always homeless going in and turning it into a pigsty. The homeless all about the library are also annoying, but usually they are well behaved. The problem here is that they need to stop letting the homeless destroy the men's room. Stop letting in these homeless with all their stuff and then proceeding to smear every surface with dirt and filth. Last time I went in it looked like mud had been smeared all over the sink counters. Really unacceptable, especially seeing as how there are multiple places nearby now that cater exclusively to this population for this exact reason.
A wonderful place. We are truly lucky to be residents here and have access to such a great establishment. I have zero complaints and everybody is usually very respectful. If you are "noise sensitive," bring some headphones and music and you'll block out the very occasional echo of noise. Honestly it's the best place to be distraction free and get some studying done. Wi-Fi is also perfect.
Staffs are accommodating , Books and DvD are perfect for some research. More power to Pasadena Library.
Best library I've been to so far. Helpful staff, friendly environment, beautiful building, what's not to love?
I'm so glad I stop @ this location, I was able to find my books for summer school!
