This is a great Library! When you enter the lobby you'll find that it is designed with light and an open and peaceful feeling. There is a center booth with an Assoc. ready to help. They, and I mean everyone, are friendly and eager to help. The new (State of the Art) and easy to use Checkout machines make checkout fast. You can checkout many things besides books. Movies for a small charge of 75 cents for a week (you won't find that at RedBox!) and many of the DVD's are free!, if they're a Documentary or something other than Hollywood full blown production movie, it's mostly no charge and if your day is to busy to see it that night , no worries you have it for a week! CD's are free! (CD's have a security lock, so use the unlock blocks next to Checkout machines). Upstairs are computers to access the internet. This Library is not stuffy at all and they have many items to checkout, so do just that. Library Book Sales are on most Thursdays to coincide with the Farmer's Market. Check this place out, you will be glad you did : )

Nice and clean. Ok book selection, not a large branch. Strange unisex bathroom set-up, with the airplane type lock that says vacant or not. Some people don't lock and it's just uncomfortable. Staff is nice.

I started going to the Downtown library 5 years ago, but for the last 3 I've been primarily going to the Mission Branch, as it's much closer to me and I enjoy that convenience. Reserving books there is so easy and the people are very helpful. When they were closed (April '14) for the remodel and having to go back to the Main Library, made me realize how fortunate I am to have the Mission Branch. I'll end by saying, I'm going there now to pick up a book they're holding for me.

Last time I was there I needed to print some things out for work and realized that I couldn't use a debit card. I asked the woman at the help desk if she had change for a 20 and she didn't but she found another solution that worked out great. They are a small library but they have everything that you would need.

My grandson and I ❤️ love the children’s time at the library. We go for the babies to toddlers time and preschool story hour. There are computers and other hands on activities besides the books! It’s a special date with Tanner when Grandma is visiting.

Nice library. However all the Oceanside Libraries have terrible WiFi. In this day and age a decent network is necessary to get work and research done and expected of a library (Orange County Libraries have fast and reliable networks). Simple web pages took 10 or more seconds to load. Many sites times out. Have made many suggestions that they get their IT to work on it and, without fail, I am given the excuse of conversation, even with an almost empty library. If you need to work on anything that requires internet I recommend you go to the nearest Starbucks or fast food restaurant.
