I have dream about this library many years ago when I moved to Long Beach and this area was missing a library and I used to tell myself why this empty building can't be a library so I can just walk without driving. The day the congressman and city approved. It was a joyful day. I thank God and may almighty bless the people serving this library and keep up a good work.

This library is beautiful and spacious with a community garden outside. There's a great teenagers section with comfy wifi boothes for studying. There's several conference rooms and there's even a free yoga class offered every Friday from 10-11am. Bring your own mat or towel.

I can spend up to 5hrs here on weekends and some weekdays. Only thing there isn't too much isolated space so sometime you have to share a study table with others. Also bring your headphones or earplugs it help when small families are near.

Amazing Library... brand new, full of light, nice staff... Tried / tested to use de 3D print service, offered by the Learning Lab, but the prints came out extremely low quality, and the staff, most, did not really care about helping me improving or making a better final product. Good idea though.

If only they would have different opening times. Most of the days opens at 12pm. Seriously? I went by to try to print my resumé before I went job hunting but it doesn't open until 12pm. Some days open at 10am? But it looks like a good place. Kid friendly, nice and tidy and has a good vibe and all. But please if you could just change your opening times please. Unless I am overstepping then I apologize but I'm just saying.

Place is VERY VERY loud!! Don't come here if you need to study or concentrate. The lady in charge of the library said it's "not meant to be a quiet library," in my opinion they should have just called it a community center then, because even the people that work there are loud. Such a disappointment since it's a new place. Why come here if you can go to Starbucks or a coffee shop, it's loud and people bring in food and drinks too! Then they have four "quiet rooms" that can fit 1-6 people, but you can only stay in there for one hour...if one person is in the room you can't share it, it's ridiculous! The area is not the safest in LBC, you would think this library would be a safe and quiet place for people to zone out from the craziness outside of the library. Who ever runs this place needs to get a few tips form the Cerritos main Library, they are strict with the noise, food and drinks and that library is packed with people, keeps people coming back.

Great library. My vehicle was struck in parking lot while I was inside the library and my vehicle dash cam recorded since it’s equipped with parking mode g-sensors; $60 on Amazon. If you know who either of the two females are and where to locate them, please let me know on Yelp. Thank you.

I honestly love this library, it's new, fresh and a pretty good size, it has a lot of tables and most of them have outlets to plug in your laptop or your phone charger

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this library!! The kids love the computers, selection of books & kid friendly programs. Also, can't forget the garden outside!! They look forward to our library day each week! I'm thrilled with the study rooms, complete with white boards & outlets for charging devices. Your staff is so helpful & kind...just can't say enough about this marvelous facility!! The whole place is AMAZING! And the staff is out of this world, helpful, resourceful and very polite. I needed help printing my resume and the young lady at the computer room was so great, she helped me with a smile, and told me that my resume prints were free! I was going to a job interview right after that, and happy to have that great experience, made my day so much better!!! Thank you so much, so happy to have this library in my community... Kudos to the staff! Y'all great

Good Library. Amazing and helpful staff. Nice, slick, and amazing looking interiors. This place is the place to go for a nice library experience. I live directly across from it and its a convenient place to visit when wanting to read something, needing to print something, or just wanting to express my artistic side with the 3D printers. If you are near and are looking for a good library, this place is the best of the best.

Abundant free parking, outstanding service for all ages and although it's food and noise friendly I appreciate that it belongs to all of us. It's our responsibility to keep it a great library that serves the whole community, encouraging all to gather and grow together. I've also used the private meeting rooms and my partners were amazed by the ease of meeting here, they came from OC and LA!

It's just a jewel of a building inside and out. The large stained glass in the outside, it shines a subtle light in the building which is very well lite by sunlight during the hours the branch is open. The outside sports a spire that used to belong to the old Atlantic Theater that was built in the 1940's. It gives the pixie of a building a blue polka dot outfit on the outside a magic wand or funny little hat that it wears! It's a well thought out building and a fine branch library with a terrific staff, and so many activities for the children and the community.

I love Michelle Obama local library! I found the best and in really good shape books. I been checking out book from this library since they open. It used to be the North Branch in Orange Ave. I'm so happy it became such a big impact in North Long Beach. I love my library. I been seeing the same staff work there since I was in elementary school, it feels good seeing familiar faces when you go check or read some books.
