The library is AMAZING!!! Our first visit was in 2009, and since then it has still been amazing, it's also nice and quiet for reading and studying!

I don't understand the mentality when people come to a library, let alone this one. It is supposed to be quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. Yet the amount of people who talk on their phones, play music, and don't clean up after themselves amazes here. Good job Folsom.

This library is great -- wonderfully helpful librarians who will help you take full advantage of Folsom's collection of books and the inter-library loan system. It's a spacious library with many spaces to work and host programs (for children especially) as well. Only down-side: it's not the quietest place to work given it's popularity if a quiet work space to work is what you're looking for.

I only have a couple of complaints about the Library is the noise level unbelievable..I understand that its here to be shared..However, parents let their children run wild.. ..scream and no that's not in the childrens area..you don't hear the parent correcting the child or asking for an inside voice..the librarian I have NEVER witnessed once ask the parent to somewhat hush the child..when it comes to the computers..again the noise level..numerous people speaking on the phone..yes! there is a quite lol ..room with a beautiful fireplace ..and again..at the desk..you hear lessons and once again talking..there is NOT one area for an adult just to sit read and relax ..without screaming chatter coming from some area...if you step outside you have the homeless harnessing you for money..you can not visit the gazebo and relax..its nasty around the area..and smells of pee..now I have to be honest the choice of Books..DVD..is wonderful...I just don't like the fact there is not a space to relax and read... Six months have passed..and I honestly wanted to record the noise level in the library..then I wondered maybe against a regulations..come on... I'm not the only bringing this to the ATTENTION of the librarian..I understand the learning and growing of a child mind...but let have a little structure manners..even common courtesy on share and what a library is for..... all ages..and give a quite time out room for the adults..PLEASE don't tell there is one....its a joke!!

I've been going to the Folsom Public Library since I was a child, and the new location is such a stunner compared to its original spot in the early 1990s. The library is large, well-lit by large windows, and has a great collection. Whatever you can't find here can be ordered through the inter-library service from other Sacramento area libraries. There's a great kids and teen area as well as several workstations where you can plug in laptops and work, plus computers to use if you don't have your own. The attached Einsteins Cafe is a cute little place to get some coffee and work if you prefer a little more noise while you work, or just want a place to socialize. There's also a Friends of the Library in the foyer that sells books, the proceeds of which benefit the library. Overall, it's just a wonderful community library!

It's amazing here at the Folsom Library. It's large, there's a cafe, and there are opportunities to go to library events. The selection of books is good. It's also close to the zoo/park, so you can grab a book and read in the park.

Nice small library that is well equipped. I like the modern architecture, big lawn, and the giant gazebo in the back. The lobby of the library connects to the cafe, bookstore, and library all in a row. My favorite thing is their large windows with study carrels right up against it. The plentiful outlets are a plus!

This library is amazing. It has meeting rooms, a nice cafe, multiple computers, every book you can want, quiet places to read, a giant area to walk behind the library, and whatnot. I'm just giving 4 stars since they do nothing about those running, screaming, and sometimes even swearing kids all throughout the lobby and the teen room. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a library.

Whoever the supervisors and managers are of this library need to take a serious chill pill. I came in here this afternoon wanting to quietly resolve a $17 library fine. And some lady comes out and publicly berates me about it, which is totally unnecessary. Especially when we've been unsuccessfully trying to call/come in and resolve the issue. It's not about the fine. It's about a person's manner and approach, especially to patrons of the library. Could really use some work there...

An awesome source of knowledge for kids & adults in Folsom. Excellent location, ample parking. Variety of books, dvds, audio books for kids, teens & adults. They do have great events though out the month including LEGO building, 3D printing, Chess, Creative workshops for teens, english discussions, book reviews, paiting/drawing. Checkout is easy through self-checkout kiosks. Well maintained infrastructure and also pleanty of natural lighting.
