REVIEWS OF Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary IN Wyoming

A lot of animals to look at and a very diverse selection. The cages are set up in a way that makes viewing easy..some of them have viewing areas on all sides of the cage. It's a good place for toddler aged kids, because most of the animals can be seen easily. I really like that the animals have all been "rescued" in some capacity. If you live in Billings, it's worth a trip out to Red Lodge.

Nice spot

Neat place to see lots of local-ish wildlife. The coyote siblings are funny and characters. What a great place to take in all of these animals that are unreleasable into the wild. Friendly staff, pretty, well kept grounds, lots of informational placards. Great for kids.

It's the best place around...but a little small and a bit expensive. 32 bucks for a family of five. Maybe when it's fully built out, it will be worth the price of admission.

My husband and I had a wonderful time there! The facility is amazing and it's easy to see how much time and effort they put into their animals. Kara was our tour guide and she did an amazing job! She was so friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly educated about the work she's doing there. We loved it! Meeka the raccoon was my favorite animal, she was the sweetest thing! You have to go just to see her:)

John Derums

I appreciate the effort of the staff caring for the animals and improving the facility. Well worth the admission.

It has bears, wolves, and lots of other animals to see. Good for an hour of entertaining the kids while waiting for other events around town.

A great resource for Red Lodge! They save animals in need, and they take excellent care of them, always trying to expand to better suit their animal guests. The education there is great, the staff obviously cares deeply about the place, and they are, and have been, a great asset. It's a great stop on vacation, especially if you can nab a tour!

I love this great getaway and to see all the animals that have been helped by this group. This is just a short drive from Billings and makes for a nice family outing

Totally recommend this place ... Gary Robson was our tour guide ..which was free btw ... very informative and interesting.

Very nice home for animals and birds that can't be returned to the wild. Small but clean with well kept grounds. Effort was made to provide good homes for the animals and birds with dens, nests, climbing structures, perches, toys, etc.

Fun for the whole family. Parts under construction, but most of the sanctuary was open for service. Excited to visit someday in the future to see the new exhibits. Only 1000 miles and I am there.

Toured this area with ol' Eing, first time @ '76.. awesome Gallatin Natl Forest and killer mountains!! Then called Red Lodge Zoo, it was my first up close and personal contact with Ursus Horriblus.. in a steel cage! WOW.. what a creature!

Jeff Logan

Was a bit warm out so most the animals were napping. Only animal I didn't see was mountain lion.

Xiaoqian Yu

Very good education resources for children. Glad to see that animals are happy to live there and are well taken care of. It's said that only whales and elephants will take care of the elder in the animal kingdom.

Awesome small quick stop with beautiful animals aplenty
