Thoroughly Recommended !!!! Especially Matt !!
We had 3 fantastic days with Buffalo Roam Tours in late June 2016. The first 2 days was in Yellowstone NP with Matt, who was utterly brilliant at spotting wildlife. The first day we were treated to a tour of the geysers and Yellowstone river. Matt's knowledge of the geological and bacterial aspects was utterly mind blowing and much appreciated by one of our group of four who is a retired scientist and understood it all!!! Having also seen many animals that day and wishing to see more, we took up Matt's suggestion of. 5 am start the next morning to see much more wildlife. It was so exciting and enjoyable made more so by Matt's enthusiasm for the animals and geology. He encouraged us to repeat the early start on our own the next day which proved again to be very exciting with animals that we saw.
Our third day with Buffalo Roam Tours was in Grand Teton a couple of days later, with Bill. Grand Teton is not as exciting as Yellowstone, but had more dramatic scenery. However, this was the only sighting of Moose, in either Yellowstone or Grand Teton, which made the day! The boat ride in Jenny Lake was somewhat disappointing, being just a return ride to the mountains side of the lake and could have been improved by a trail walk the other side, but I understand that guides are not allowed to extend the tours onto trails. Part of the tour was a ride on the cable car to 10000 ft. which was fantastic, but could have had a little more exploration at the top. Overall we thought the day in Grand Teton was somewhat rushed and could have been extended a bit to make it more enjoyable, but again I understand the restrictions that are placed on the company by the park authority.
