Here you will see the information of people like you who use the services and products of Wisconsin Deer Park (Zoo) around Wisconsin area.
Now the business has a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 1140 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is almost the best one, and it is founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the evaluation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is included in the category of Wildlife park.
The idea of this place is cool but in reality, these animals are not taken care of well, are unhappy, and are stressed to the max. The deer are losing their hair, the lemurs are kept in a small cement enclosure with nothing else really in there, the raccoon was disheveled and wouldn’t stop pacing and had nothing else but a box in his enclosure, and the guinea hens are left to walk on nothing but dirt/mud. Do these animals a favor and don’t come here so they can hopefully live more at peace and longer, healthier lives.
Pretty expensive for what it is, but my family and I had fun. It’s nice and shaded and a good little walk. My children loved feeding the deer! They would come right up to us! My 4 year old even fed a deer a cracker right out of her mouth!!
This is my daughter's favourite place to visit before leaving the dells. The girls in the front I believe are most and daughter, they are very helpful. The place is well maintained and the staff running the feed stations are cool to talk with. Of course the deer was the main attraction and they were out following everyone. My daughter had a bunch following her around and she couldn't have been happier.
We were able to touch the deer and feed them too. Lots of fawns too. B Great for all ages
Live tame majestic animals. Need I say more?
Super cool experience for the kids. Everyone loved it
This was my favorite attraction in the Dells when I was a little girl. Fast forward 30 years and I now take my son here, and he loves it just as much as I did. A helpful tip would be to bypass the wafers sold inside the gift shop and buy the cones they sell inside the park instead. The deer seem to prefer these treats and they only cost $1.
It was incredible getting to feed deer with the kids! We all had a really fun time with it. The only thing bad I would say is that the obnoxious music really made the experience a lot less fun. My children were upset by it and one of my girls got a bad headache from it which lasted for several hours. Who wants to listen to stupid music while they're out in nature enjoying what God made?
We had a blast here with our grand daughter
Very enjoyable family time. A little mud due to the weather, but over all great for the family.
We were here 5 years ago and it was great! Deers everywhere, healthy looking, park was clean. We were back in town last weekend and felt like we had to stop again. Wow what a difference. The deer looked unhealthy, several had sores on them. The walking paths were full of deer feces. You'd think they'd have someone walking around taking care of that. The deer were being attacked by biting flies, not that its the fault of the owners. There was a hillside where a ton of deer were at drinking from a filthy rain filled, muddy green water pit. I watched the deer turn away from it and the temp was 90 degrees outside. Sadly it appears poorly ran and not maintained. I'd hope the animals would be checked by a vet on a semi regular basis or the health department. I hope the owners make some changes for the animals. I won't be back!
It was fun and in theory worth the price of admission, but the deer aren't interested in the $4 food you purchase when you enter. They want the 25-cent treats from the machines inside. Most of the deer are also very skittish and afraid of the visitors, which just made us uncomfortable. We did get to pet one particularly friendly one, though, and that was an experience.
I can't wait to bring our daughters here. They will absolutely love it.
Lots of fun getting to pet and feed animals such as the deer and goats. Amidst all the hustle and bustle around you, a quiet oasis with nature.
Great place to take you kids. My 2yr old loved it. She was excited to feed them very closely. Some of them don't seem to be interested in the food that we purchased from the ticket counter ($4 each) but in the feed that you can get from the quarter machine through out the park.
Very cool. The deer like to follow and beg for crackers you buy to feed them.
Always fun. Fair prices. The kids always love to visit the deer park. They have so much fun feeding and petting the deer. They also find a favorite that follows them around the whole park. It is very interesting to examine the deer's coats which are soft or course and summer or winter. Goats are cute too.
I just didn't liked the place. Nothing to do. They have only designed everything on ceiling
Ripped tag ears and not enough water or room for them they have to listen to loud screams from next door amusement park no acreage for horses expensive cost profiting off animals bathrooms were unclean. Feels like zoo not a sanctuary
Petting area with lots of goats and deer out in the open. My youngest nephew wanted to come here. He had loads of fun. You get to feed them with the food you purchase from them. Do not feed them anything from the outside as it can hurt them. Although they do have other mammals there, I wouldn't call it a zoo. The diversity isn't there. But overall, a nice relaxing experience.
This place was Awesome! Deer from all over the world! Our family had a perfect day here! We also saw some adorable Raccoons, Buffalo, Goats, Elk, Lemurs and a couple of Horses.Unbelievable low price of admission! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO IF YOUR KIDS LOVE ANIMALS! :) WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! WE WILL BE BACK!
Great place. I always fear for the shy deer as if they get hungry, the front deer almost steel the cup from you! Really fun for any day and I absolutely love it. Great for the family or all ages! Reasonable prices.
The deer were just beautiful and so friendly! We were able to observe babies and mama deer from one of the overlooks and it was breathtaking. Wonderful experience!
Absolutely my favorite place in the dells. Been coming here for 37 years. Most magical place around.
This place is tons of fun for adults and kids alike. It's worth noting that if you go in the spring the deer will be more skittish than if you go in the summer of fall. By mid summer many of the deer will lay in the walkways and let you pet them. It's broken up into different areas and there's quite a bit of information about each species. They also have a handful of other animals that are kept in habitats you can't reach into (buffalo, antelope, elk, lamas, raccoons, lemurs, emus, etc). There's also an area where you can pet goats and they have several huge statues of animals for photo-ops at the front. That said my favorite bit might be from their FAQ section on the website in response to the question, "Will the deer bite?" They say, "You would have to be shoving your hand all the way into their mouth for you to get bit."
This was really wonderful. We walked around the park and the deer that came up to us were smaller than we see back home. We baught food to feed them and they just followed us around. The location had other animals you could feed and interact with also. Emu, goats, foreign deer, moose, ect. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so that wasn't very expensive.
Love the animals here they are so cute, you gotta buy the food if you want their attention.
Great place hiding in plain sight. Had a great time petting the wonderful animals. Would love to go again. Make sure you buy the food(for the deers) from the counter before entering.
Absolutley a must stop for anyone who enjoys being close to animals. The deer walk right up to you in a semi open environment and will eat right from your hands. The package of wafers is the easy way to go, and you can buy seed/alfalfa handfuls for a quarter. If you have kids, or a wife like me that just loves to pet different animals it's a fun time.
Little kids will love it
Nice, family-friendly place. Calm, unrushed, lots of fun to feed and pet the deer, really great place to spend a few hours just hanging out with nature.
Been going to the Deer Park since the 70's. Always a joy see them...
Perfect for kids and adults, cute gift shop. Kinda pricey, totally worth it
This was an amazing place to feed, pet and learn about deer. It was well worth the cost of admission. I would suggest trying to keep some of your ice cream cones and then paying $ .50 to refill it than paying $1 for a whole new cone. Our toddler and 92 year old grandmother both loved it!
Friendly staff and very fun park, the various animals are cage free and always looking for a snack and have their ears rubbed. Great place for kids to meet deer and goats up close
Great place. Lots of fun. Decently priced.
Loved the fact that you can feed the deer with purchased food. They have some other animals in addition. First time seeing a bison.
Great family place. My kids and wife absoutly love coming here. It is a must stop every time we are in town. The deer free roam and come right up to you and eat from your hand. Really neat experience especially if you have never seen a deer up close. On the negative side it is a little in the price in my opinion. Kids 3 to 11 are $10 and adults are $14 plus I think it's like $4 per thing of food. Even just with a family of 4 that starts adding up fast and you get through the whole park in about 1.5hrs on the high side. Still a fun time in the end.
Great place. Whole family loved it
Friendly employees, safe and beautiful atmosphere. Totally unique experience. The whole family really enjoyed everything.
Lots of animals great prices
So fun for all ages!
I loved this place! Most of the deer would allow you to feed them, but wouldn't let you pet them. There were the occasional deer that loved to be petted. It was very family friendly. You must buy the food to feed them. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic place to take the family!
Not badly priced had alot of fun the animals will come right up to you
I had a ton of fun at this place. A few of the deer are very friendly and let you feed and even wrap your arm around them. Would recommend for kids and adults alike.
The animals are in poor health. I wouldn't go there again.
This is a great place. We go nearly every time we are in the Dells. One marketing thing, when you enter they ask if you want "deer food" [Wasa Crackers] $4 per package, [I think about 8 crackers]. Once in the park you can buy a Icecream cone filled with deer feed and corn for $1 each (cash only). It's all for a good cause, so whatever... very nice staff. Plenty of benches to rest on as you make your way around the farm. Several other animals to see....
It's always fun to see and interact with wildlife
Always love coming here to feed the deer. Great for my kids and fun for us as a family. Other animals are there as well.
Our girls enjoyed it. They were 7 and 5 at the time. We had a nice time as a family. I hope the animals are treated well.
Lots of fun. It is nice to be able to pet them and the kids had a blast feeding them.
They have lots of different animals besides the deer. The kids had fun feeding the deer and the goats.
My daughtet loved it, the deer follow you like puppies. They know the sound of the machines that hold the corn too, they will flock when you turn the handle!!
Fun to pet and feed the deer and other animals.
Super duper fun! Totally worth it!
So nice. Would recommend
A little pricey for what you get but it was a lot of fun. There are maybe 20ish types of animals fenced outdoors; most are types of deer or types of cow, elk, etc. The real treat is that there are several types of deer that free roam around next to you and you can buy packets of food to feed them. At one point we had a group of 10 or more deer following us around waiting to be fed. The 4 and 2 year old loved it but there were a few times they got a little scared and need to hide behind mom. I recommend having a bag or large pocket you can put the food in to avoid being over run. Very fun and several great photos. I was surprised at how long we were there.
Perfect place to spend an hour with kids. Could be bit bigger.
Nice place to feed deer.
Very cool but only buy the corn the deer don't like the wafers
it was an okay experience for kids, but why does it have to have loud obnoxious blaring music? It's bad enough that wild animals are trapped in cages, they at least you have some quiet and not horrible horrible loud rock and roll. I felt like running away
Watch Your Step & Enjoy The Close Up Encounters With These Awesome Animals! Our Family has stopped at the Wisconsin Deer Park once a year for over a decade! It's a "Must Do" every year. From my youth, the attractions begin to fade but my profound obsession over the Whitetail Deer never will! The kids love it, the staff are great, the live attractions are the Best!
Loved seeing all of the deer...many up close. You can take an hour or many hours here. Nice relaxing day (not busy).
Fun for the whole family!
Where can you get so close to nature
Perfect place to take children or family those are very very friendly professional and kind staff
You can let the deer. They are very nice. You can also feed them. There also other animals there.
Fun family activity for the Dells. Next time I'll skip the crackers you can buy when you pay the entrance fee. The animals seem to prefer the food you can buy once inside.
It was definitely an experience and something to try at least one! Cons -very smokey inside!! Would highly recommend bringing eye drops if you get dry eyes easily. -felt like for the price we could have got more veggies. For 2 people to eat, have a drink, appetizer and leave a tip you are looking at about $100.00 - Felt like our waitress could have been better. Not sure if it was she wasn't trained or didnt care. It didnt look that busy and I noticed other waitresses/waiters doing a great job. She only came to the table to drop off food and give check. Never checked on us or offer to take dirty plates/cups from the table
Great place to see the animals
This place is so fun for the price. The zoo across the street is so expensive. The deer Park is a great place to go to. Plus all the deer come up to you. Great for kids and families. Will be back anytime we go to the dells
It was extremely fun and I felt like snow white.
Nice place to visit with family, deers very friendly
Absolutely amazing! So clean given it is a deer park! Very serene, could have spent all day here.
Such a fun experience! Highly recommend.
This place was a lot of fun to feed and pet the deer. As a bonus the deer biscuits you feed them taste good.
Very great experience!! Loved how close you could get! However don’t waste your money on the crackers at the front desk, all the deer want is the corn from the quarter machines around the park!
Very awesome park. Basically a petting zoo for lots of varieties of deer and other animals. Very good price for what you get. We have no kids and we enjoyed it thoroughly but obviously, it's very kid friendly. If you are considering it, do it, you would be disappointed
Fun! A little pricey but it's the Dells. Three year old grandson loved it. Management was very courteous about the weather so if the deer didn't come out due to the rain we could come back later. Thought that was very nice.
Wonderful experience for all ages
Such a fun experience!!
It was interesting to see the different kids of deer, and the employees were friendly. But, it wasn't like the advertisements made it to be. Felt like it was priced high for what you got to see.
AMAZING for all ages! The deer are very gentle and friendly.
Very neat place to take the kids. Deer are very tame, some are easily spooked. They will come right up to you and eat. A neat way to kill an hour or two with younger kids.
Lots of deer. Reasonable feed prices for the animals. Lots of other animals to see. Great place for kids and adults alike!
Recommend visit love the animals
Deer Park is a treasure that evokes the "Old Dells" vibe. The park hasn't really changed since I first went 35 years ago. The pig ride in the gift shop still runs for 2 minutes for 25 cents. The gifts are all old school kitsch, though their prices have kept up with the times a plenty. The park itself features tons of deer in 2 main enclosures, whitetails and European deer. There are also a number of other animals in their own enclosures. Spring and early summer is the best time to go as the deer are hungry and eager to eat from your hand. Plus the whitetail fawns are adorable. Among all the obnoxious attractions on the Strip, the Deer Park is a genuine treat for the whole family.
My family went October 2018 and took a friend from Florida. We all loved the experience and are going back next month! I would gladly visit this place every year. Some deer were a little shy at first but one of them stuck with me for most of the time and became my little buddy. Awesome experience!!
Even though there was a burst of shower's which is always a bit of excitement, for 50 years this place will always play apart in my family's memeories. Every generation has come to make them at the deer Park and we will continue to come every year. Thank you for the continued fun and excitement you bring!!!!!
Been here every year since I was born! Absolutely wonderful experience and the deer appear to be happy and well cared for. Photo is of my SO sitting with a friendly buck ❤
Overall really cute, friendly deer but so many were laying together in the shade away from everyone keeping cool so we really only got to feed about 3 deer. It is still cute and my kids loved it. We will try again when it isnt so hot out.
I LOVE the Deer Park!!! Its my FAVORITE place in the Dells. Its so cool when the deer walk directly up to you and nudge you for food❤
Love the deer, so cute! They wander around freely and you can feed them food. Such a great experience!
Great place! Clean and very interactive! Hands on, with deer just roaming around amongst the visitors! Simply amazing!
I was here as a boy and wrote an article for the La Valle Star newspaper before it closed its doors. It was a great place then and was later when we took our kids.
Fun time fir kids and adults.
This was pricey but really fun. So amazing to be able to pet deer and feed them. The elk exhibit was really depressing. Let that guy go free.
So much fun, it's a must!
So much fun! The deer would let you pet and feed them.
Great place & great people, would recommend them to anyone
So much fun! My kids thought it was cool and I thought it was equally amazing be so close to and around such beautiful creatures
Great place to take the kids. The deers will just walk right up to you. One even gave me a kiss on the cheek. Lots of other beautiful animals to see as well
We were there 51 years ago on our honeymoon. Hasn't changed much. My bride likes to feed the deer.
Very expensive. Almost $70 for a family of 5. We saw maybe 5 deer out of the fences the entire time. We bought deer food and had to feed it to the ones behind fences just to get rid of it. They had pop music blaring throughout the park too which seemed completely out of place. There just wasn’t much to do or see and we only spent about an hour there.
Had a great variety of animals.
Perfect place for kids and grown-ups! Lots of animals to see and feeding the deer up close was amazing! I thought it was pricey but once we were done I felt it was totally worth it.
I loved being here. The animals seem relatively happy and love the kids that go. The price isn't really that bad and considering how many deer are running around it's really clean. :) If you're looking for a nice stroll with some pretty critters head here.
The Best Place in the Della
Really awesome experience, the whole family loved it.
Great for the kids. All the animals are amazing.
Not enough animals for it being so expensive...
Super duper fun!!! Very unique and great experience! A must do if you're in Wisconsin.
The family loved interacting with the dear.
The deer park has a lot more than deer! They had goats, chickens, pheasants, peacocks, horses, elk, llamas, bulls, bison, some kind of emu looking thing, and more! The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the parking lot too. This place really is huge, and well worth the 14$ admisssion. I really recommend the 4$ feed crackers, all of the animals love it and it really makes them want to be friendly! It was a lot of fun petting animals that normally run away if they get within 50 feet. It's a nice walk around, with most of the deer roaming free, walking on the path. All of the animals were in pretty large enclosures and were clearly being taken care of a lot better than at most Zoos.
Nothing bad but the price. $14 admission for adult and $10 for kids. Timbavati is better for the price and what you get.
Love visiting the deer park!
Little pricey but the kids love feeding the animals
Nice place to visit. The variety of deer and being able to walk with and around them was great
It's nice. Lots of deer and other animals
Please take your kids you all will love it!
Was a very fun experience. The animals are well cared for and have a beautiful place to call home. Awesome time for the kids. Lots of friendly deer!
Such a fun attraction in the Dells. It was $14 to get in and then you could purchase deer food for an additional cost. They also had goats and other animals within the park. The deer were very friendly if you had food and would follow you through the park. It was a very fun experience to get so close to the deer and pet and feed them. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for something fun to do and will definitely go back again on my next visit to the Dells!
Awesome place to spend 1-2 hours feeding deer and other animals. Very kid friendly and staff was great.
Always enjoyable. The deer and goats are very friendly.
Truly a wonderful rare experience. Being able to walk amongst the deer while feeding and petting them is amazing. The deer are walking around freely and will come up to you to be fed and petted. My wife had never been there before and she loved it.
Best petting zoo type place we have ever visited. The deer are up close and personal. Touch, pet, feed, play with. Truly a little kids (and big kids) dream. I mean where else can you hug and pose for a Pic with a grown deer or a baby fawn.
We had a great time here.
Loved feeding the deers, awesome place to visit.
I loved the experience I am so glad I went here
Nice place to get up close with the animals. Well kept and friendly.
Great place! Well worth the price. Kids always love it.
Very well maintained and beautiful wildlife that all look content
$14. For adults $10 for kids. To feed their deer. Not me.
This place will always have a special place in my heart. Being an animal lover has made this place 100x better! Great place to spend hours at being surrounded by nature. Loved spending time with one special goat letting me pet its back! Overall price and time was well spent and worth and animals are super friendly!! What I would recommend to the staff is to feed the animals more often because when you have food for them with you, they go crazy as if they haven’t ate for a while. Also some animals did have gunk on their fur which should be taken a closer look at. Anyways, see you next time Deer Park!
You can make friends with the animals, give them snacks, this is one of the cooler things to do in the dells for a few hours, and it won't break the bank. Definitely a must do for families!
Very fun and interactive exhibit. Animals come up to you for petting and snacks!
Better than we anticipated. We all had lots of fun. Many very friendly deer that we were able to pet and feed out of our hands. $14.99 to get in and $4 for a package of food biscuits. We probably spent another $20 in food for the deer. But the whole family had a lot of fun. They also had lemurs, ostriches, llamas, goats, peacocks, and chickens. All you can pet are the deer and goats.
If you’re an animal lover like my family and I, you will LOVE this place. My one year old didn’t want to leave. The deer and the staff were very patient with her. She also loved the goats and the llamas. We also did not think the price as bad for being in the dells and was totally worth it. My advice would be to not buy the $4 food, but instead use the quarter machines or buy the cone full of corn for $1. We will be back!
Go in the summer. Any other time of the year the deer seem to be skittish. But all around it's a great time. The staff members are always friendly and informative. And the kids always have a blast giving the food (they provide at a decent price) to all the deer and goats.
Fun place for all ages.
More fun than I thought it was going to be! Deer are friendly and eat right out your hands. Crackers are a bit bland upon taste test, but it doesn't stop the deer from surrounding you for them.
The kids and parents had so much fun feeding the deer and seeing them up close!! One of my favorite things we did on vacation!
The little one loved feeding the deer!!
We just live that place. Very nice.
This was a real gem. Expensive to get in, but an unexpected break from the flood of touristy places. Worth visiting for families with little kids.
So much fun ! Very clean facility and all the animals are awesome !
We had to kill some time between boat rides and thought we would stop at the deer park to see what it was all about. It seemed ridiculous, but wow, did we have an amazing time. For animal lovers like my 13 year old son and myself, it ended up being the highlight of our day. We loved petting the deer and feeding them the crackers (buy many when you enter). They followed us around, there were many different breeds and we couldn't keep the smiles off our faces. For someone like myself who is a bit "anti-zoo", I was pleased with the habitat for the animals, which seemed well-treated and safe. We could only stay an hour, but we could have stayed much longer, and have a blast doing so. We will definitely go again!
Went in here because I wanted to feed the deer, some didn't seem interested but one of them ended up following me for about 10 minutes to get food. It is a nice place and some deer roam around their areas freely
It's a great experience for the whole family
Such a fun time for the little kids!
Great for little ones. Our 2 year old loved it.
Fun for the whole family.
Great time with our family
Such a fun experience! The deer are very friendly and let you up close to feed them. Oh, be sure to buy (lots) of food pouches from the gift shop. We visited in the morning and had a hard time rationing the food among all the hungry residents.
Nice quiet place to see animals in an environment better than a zoo.
Nice place to see and feed various animals.
Was small but nice, people were very friendly
