You must have seen that its rating is basically the best one, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Zoo.
Very small zoo, but they do the best they can with the resources they've got and the staff is very passionate. Animals are well taken care of. Holiday display in December is a must see.
The zoo was perfect for a fun morning with kids. The animals were very active and fun to watch. My kids enjoyed reading the info about the different animals and learning something new about each. The one big bummer was that they are doing construction so it made it a little difficult to navigate through, was a little loud and dusty in spots.
We stopped in this afternoon for a visit, and were lucky enough to watch a zoo employee feeding the birds~I didn't catch her name, but I was incredibly impressed with her knowledge and her explainations on when they feed the birds and why they feed them the type of food they do. She also had such cute, interesting facts about each of the birds we watched her feed. Thanks so much for making our day!!
Was very nice..looking forward to completion of the building projects..
This is a small zoo but well kept and some history spots to read as well! Good place to take family to relax and enjoy!
We are from the Twin Cities, and we met our close relatives at Wildwood park and zoo in Marshfield for an afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon at the zoo. When we first arrived, a grizzly bear greeted us by walking across the overhead walkway that is above the main zoo entrance. The zoo is particularly enjoyable because it contained north American animals, and the animals were easily visible from close up. In addition to the Alaskan brown bear, there was a bobcat, two mountain lions, and several wolves. There are also a grey fox and an Arctic fox. The zoo also contains several raptors as well as a pair of sandhill cranes.
I have pictures since he could barely walk hanging out with the geese and ducks.
Nice, small zoo with a gun selection of animals.
Love this zoo.
It's nice n clean n it's my home town
Nice grounds and the drive thru idea is great but couldn't really see the animals.
There is some construction going on that will improve the park.
The Christmas lights were awesome a must see.
Love the bears but that's about it.
The zoo in Marshfield, WI is remarkable for a small community! It really is worth the time and is free. Good will donations are welcome! I don't have any pictures to share because I was enjoying the park so much I didn't take any pictures
Great place to visit, especially for the Christmas lights!
Had a great day playing with the kids in the rain.
Very nice small local zoo. Not much was open when we were there. Nice park, gazebos, with picnic benches, and grills. Cool drive through/walk through zoo area. Nature trail. Free admission, donations accepted. They do have a souvenir shop in the summer months.
Anyone with children knows the joy of seeing their smiles. Wildwood Zoo has that effect. Even when the geese chase you....lol. They offer a decent range of animals for viewing and landscaped sitting areas in between. Don't forget to sneak a peek at the wolves farthest back.
I love the bears. Must see
It's free! Honestly better then some zoos you pay to visit
great little attraction for families
Little but neat. Some cages could have an upgrade, but nevertheless very enjoyable. The kodiak bears are top.
Great zoo! It's not huge, bit well worth the time! Awesome bear's!
Awesome little place to see animals not able to be released into the wild.
Great little zoo donations only
Great place to take the family. Staff is always friendly.
Lots of shade trees, grilling areas, play areas for the kids
Very nice small zoo. The park is great.
Went for their Christmas light display. It is by donation and is well worth donating some non perishable food items or cash. The lights display was great as always.
Was looking for stuff to do with the kids and found the zoo. We visited not knowing what to expect and were quite surprised to see that it was a pretty decent size for a local zoo. There was a sign saying it was free entry but did ask for a donation so we put some money in their collection box and enjoyed the zoo. Got some decent pictures as well, even saw the bears playing around together and got a video of it.
Animals were active today. Paths were sloppy with recent snow melt. Wild Geese are aggressive because mates are on nests throughout the park
The beers are the big attraction. The animals look hot and thirty.
They have got a lot of animals here, it is a good park and zoo for kids. I am sorry that they haven't any monkeys though. When I was a kid, they also let you feed the ducks and geese, kind of miss that too.
It's free! That right off is a big plus, and for a free zoo there is quite a bit to see. The Kodiak bears have been an amazing addition to the zoo. The wolves are always a favorite, plus they have big cats, a bird exhibit, as well as a a drive around space for the bison, elk, and deer. For a small town free zoo this is a great spot. During the winter months the Winter Wonderland gets set up throughout so the whole park is lit up with Christmas lights and displays.
Really cool place.
Bear exhibit is awesome. Also at Christmas time winter wonderland is simply gorgeous.
A very beautiful place
Great Clean place to sit by yourself or bring the what family
Kid's love this zoo
A very nice small, free zoo (there are donation boxes for people to help out). The bear enclosure is quite large, and uniquely designed. They have cougars (the big cat area is currently being updated, so we didn't get to see the bobcat or lynx), wolves (good size enclosure with lots of hollow logs they like to run through, they're very playful), foxes, and several large birds. Lots of flowers for butterflies, bees, and colorful beetles. A couple of pond areas, usually filled with ducks, geese, and seagulls. They have a couple sitting areas off the main path, but it looks like those may have taken damage from the recent storms. All-in-all, a very nice place to visit. A good place for children. Plan on spending around an hour. There's also a park with a playground just outside the gates, and ice cream shop at the corner by the main entrance.
Great place to go for winter wonder land.
A beautiful, clean park & small zoo that I never get tired of visiting. We are lucky to have such a great park in our area!
Nice zoo for a small city.
Can't believe that they don't charge anything to get in. Great place to take a walk and check out some animals! This place is run off donations and such so it is very small but hey it's free.
Very nice small zoo. Clean with nice walking paths, and children's play area.
What a great free zoo to enjoy kids love it an so do we
Love this place. The bears are a much see!!
What a great zoo family loved it
Love seeing all the animals
Very nice zoo and kept up well. Looks like the staff deserves a huge pat on the back!
As always the zoo is a very nice treat after a long day of do for appointments
WHAT YEAR ARE WE LIVING IN? WHY ARE THESE ANIMALS HERE? HOW SAD, ESPECIALLY FOR THE LARGE MAMMALS. DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THE CRATE THEY LEFT THE COUGAR IN DURING THE 'LIGHTS' ON 12/14/18? THE POOR CAT- SCARED AND HISSING IN A CRATE BIG ENOUGH FOR MY BOXER. ABSOLUTELY TASTELESS AND HEARTLESS. DO THE RIGHT THING MARSHFIELD, IT'S ALMOST 2019- FIND MORE SUITABLE HOMES FOR THE ANIMALS.
The lights are beautiful, you can tell a lot of planning and hard work went into the displays. It was a great family experience.
Love most of it except. I can not stand the cougar exhibit. It makes me sick looking. At those beautiful animals in that little area. They deserve a much better place to live.
Lot of things to do. Fishing in the ponds, walking around the zoo and playing on the playground.
Not bad for a donation only zoo.
My 2yo granddaughter loves to come see the bears almost on a daily basis. She loves the 'big kitties' too! Excellent place to visit, the park has a very nice playground. (Although someone should add actual sand in the sand pit) Nice accommodations for large and small parties.
Very good place to visit
Nice zoo, and park. Excellent light display around the holidays!!
The Wildwood Park in Marshfied Wisconsin is getting better. You should be very proud. Visitor from Gloucester, Virginia.
Love this place, they have WI native animals here. You can either have a relaxing walk with many places to sit & relax & see the animal or drive through the back part park have a picnic by the water while watching the geese then enjoy the drive past buffalo, white tailed deer wolves in the wooded setting during the Christmas holiday season you have make sure that you visit their festival of lights both the drive through and inside they have amazing displays set up.
Very best part of Marshfield calming and enjoyable
Always fun to see the animals
Nice play area and exhibits.
Very pleasant paths and good displays. Well maintained.
Nice exhibit and variety of animals!
Hard to find entrance and way around exhibits. Very few animals available to see. Landscaping is very attractive.
Excellent wildlife zoo. Just the right size for taking kids to. Nice job.
Nice way to enjoy Christmas lights by walking or driving.
My kids loved it. We were passing through the area and needed a break. I wish more towns could offer zoos for families. The Kodiak bears were our favorite.
I like to take my kids here as often as I can they enjoy it and you can't beat the price....free
Really great, good place for kids but I didn't see any bears while I was there even though there was a large area for them.
Such a great place. No fee just donations.
I don't hate the zoo it's was a beautiful experience
Under construction in alot of the areas. No animals in many areas. Best thing about it was the visit with my son and family while there.
Very lovely experience. Quiet except for the sound of the excited geese on the lake. Peaceful nature trail and unexpected for small town zoo.
There is no entrance fee, but there is a donation box. There was construction going the day we were there. Most of the animal on exhibit were active except the prairie dogs. The kodiak bears were entertaining.
Nice place to go with your kids
This is a nice zoo and its free. It's quite spread out though. Bring your own drinks as there are none available and bug spray if you plan to walk on the trails.
This was a really cool exhibit. I'm glad to hear that these animals are all basically rescue animals who are rehabbing before entering the wildlife again. It serves as a rehabilitation center for animals and a free zoo!
Fun for the whole family, cool animals and a nice place to walk around. If you need to kill time, or a fun place for 45 minutes, you can go here. They also have a drive around zoo if you don't want to get out of your car. In the winter, they have a Christmas light village. A pretty cool place overall.
The zoo habitat is such a refreshing sight to see. So much greenery for the wildlife versus other zoos with so much concrete. Beautiful flowers and many benches to sit and rest as there is a lot of walking there. I found it to be such a relaxed and peaceful zoo to be at. My grandchildren not only loved the bears, but all of the animals and birds. Highly recommend this zoo. Nice way to spend an afternoon.
Wish it was a bigger zoo like the one in Green Bay with more interesting animals.
Nice place to walk and see animals for only a donation
There is not a whole lot of stuff to do here. There are very few animals to look at.
My kids love coming here. The bears & wolves are very active
Because my granddaughter loves it here and it's actually really cool for a small zoo
For a small city they've done a great job with this zoo. Love the bear exhibit!
Best little zoo in my town. We love our wolves
During warmer weather ,this is a wonderful place for your entire family to visit and enjoy the animal's and have a picnic or hiking. My father is in a wheelchair, so walk around the zoo and the park, spending three hours during each outing. It's our favorite place to spend time and enjoy nature. The staff is fantastic and the zoo is open year round. During the winter weather my father and I drive around the park zoo /park and often eat lunch by one of the ponds, while watching the wildlife.
Great place to just relax and enjoy the scenery!!!
It's a great place to spend some time, see some animals and love that they are constantly updating items
Great place to enjoy the quiet and peaceful.
Excellent displays! Somewhat natural look.
Great little zoo
This is a great place to take the kids! We like to take some corn with us and feed the ducks and geese by the pond and in the zoo itself, some will even eat it out of your hand!
It is really nice there love the wolfs
Great place for everyone.
Very nice peaceful drive and stroll
Great place to visit
Empty exhibits, no flowers, no wildlife. Needs more animals in the exhibits. Would not recommend to friends. Waste of time. Main attraction bears and they were not there. No staff around to ask questions.
The Kodiak Bears are the best!
It was a little cool outside. The Kodiak bears were moving. Always a fun time at any Zoo.
Nice place to visit. The animals are hard to see in cold weather
I only wanted to watch the bears. They were playful.
This was our family first time going tovthos zoo. A small zoo not alot of animal but enough to wow the kids. It have a nice pinic area to relax and enjoy your pinic.
Scenic enjoyable drive
Fun place to see animals and play and learn
Love this little zoo! The bears are always such a treat to watch.
Amazing place, was very fun
Love taking my kids there for the events and the zoo.
Great park, has a nice playground and zoo! also there are some trails you can walk or bike on! Plus you can even do some fishing here!
They are under construction, so not the next day
Can't believe there is a decent zoo in Marshfield!
Just a nice little family zoo
Fee admission zoo you can leave a donation if you wish. I would leave a donation cause they do a great job at displaying the animals. It's worth stopping by your children will live seeing the animals
Great rescue center. Happy, happy animals who love the attention. Pack a lunch, bring corn for the ducks and geese and the beautiful wild white swan. Of all places chooses this zoo to call home and lay eggs every spring. An amazing community that cherishes her. Pavilions and a great park for kids of all ages. The walk/ drive portion of the zoo is absolutely beautiful. Small but I'm thankful for that, animals in the wild around here are happy and healthy.
The Christmas light display was very impressive.
No outside animals were out but was still pretty
This is a great zoo to visit with the family. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend checking it out. They put on a fantastic wintertime light display and have wonderful exhibits
So you won't get blown away. It's fine. It's a free zoo for crying in a bucket. They have a suggested donation jar at the gate. The animals were really active while we were there so that was cool. Saw the wolf and the kodiak bears in the same visit which probably a first. And the cougars looked pretty good. The duck ponds are all grown up in weeds and algae and not a duck in sight. Not allowed to feed them if they were there. So whatever. It was a nice walk. My son loved the prairie dogs. And the park outside the gates is really nice. You could go just for that.
Nice. very pretty. Clean. Beautiful
Nice small zoo (and free!). Fun mix of all-American animals. The habitat areas were nicely sized with interesting things for the animals to do. The area is reasonably compact and easy for young children to walk.
Beautifully well-maintained fairly big zoo, especially for a town under 20,000. A diamond in the rough and a must visit for anyone whether touring Wisconsin as an out-of-state visitor, as I was in the past, or a local resident as I am now.
Great place to take the whole family! Donations appreciated to walk through and see the animals. They usually hold quite a few events at this location.
Love this place!!
This is a great zoo!
It's not that great not many animals wouldn't waste my time going there!
It's a really nice place to get away for a bit !!! Enjoy being outside , please donate !
It's a nice little zoo and it seems like they are expanding the enclosures. They are all just too small right now and it's really sad to see. But, seeing Kodiak bears was really cool!
Always enjoy going there to see the lights.
It was a very fun experience, but the biggest show were the geese. One of which who hissed off a weasel.
Love the drive around park and new habitats being built.
This is a great little zoo that is free to attend. It has many different animals such as bears, wolves, large cats and birds. The entire zoo is very well maintained and makes for a nice little day trip. There is a park and pod nearby to visit after seeing the animals
Really enjoy the lights every year for Christmas
For a small town this zoo is well maintained, many animals to see, great family experience, parks, pavilions, and updates to animal living quarters over the years. Also a great location for outdoor prom, engagement, wedding or family pictures.
Always love coming here, never very crowded and quiet peaceful time
This FREE zoo is small, but has nice attractions. The Kodiak bear (two brothers) space is one of only a few in the U.S. When we visited, they were taking a swim break! Spend an hour or two for a nice walk with some fun stops throughout (donations requested).
Great place to visit! And is free!
Really cool, free experience. If you are in town would recommend going here. Also, try to drive around the animal park part, or go for a walk around it. There is a fair variety of exhibits to explore here. The best part is the bear bridge, yes there is a bride over a road that bears walk across. Nice family place.
Seasonally always an activity or event happening. Now we anticipate the new outdoor pool! Can't wait!
The best zoo and its free!
Great place to go for any age. Not a huge walking distance to see the animals which is nice. They also have a great playground for children. Nice restroom available next to pavilion and playground.
Beautiful scenic drive with the few animals that were in the drive through. Has a nice sitting area and playground for the kids. The walk through is much more entertaining with all the different animals and the wild birds walking all around. In a great location and it's cheap enough!
Girl scouts cookies meeting went great!
Loved it..
Wonderful free Zoo. Donations are accepted.
It was very clean and most of the animals were actually out and moving around in their habitats. It wasn't really crowded and my family enjoyed it.
Very nice small town park and zoo
Marshfield takes a lot of pride in their little zoo, and they should. The zoo focuses on native North American animals. Some of the older exhibits are small and out-dated, but the new ones are world class. That includes a rock structure, bridge, and romping area for two Kodiaks.
Such a cool place in Marshfield!!
A small zoo but a great place to walk around. It's attached to a nice park. We brought a lunch and the family made a day of it. The cost for entering the park is a suggested donation
Solid park with restrooms, several pavilions, ponds and wooded trails. Playground for children as well as several animals, including bears for viewing. Parking around the grounds is convenient. Hardees and DQ close by for non-picnic options.
Lots of animals to see. Fun and quiet. Peaceful. Love it here
Free and enjoy and you get to feed the sheep and cow and goat.
It's a great zoo.
Looks like there's no staff taking care of them.most animals were sleeping and looked sad as can be. beautiful area though No street trash hanging out there so that's good
