REVIEWS OF Wildwood Wildlife Park And Nature Center IN Wisconsin

Willow Johnson

very relaxing place. staff mostly very pleasant, except one of guys the directing parking. Some enclosures were small for the animals, such as the wolves. but the rest had nice large open areas, every animal well taken care of. lots of hands on experiences. Amazing Day!

Jennifer Kelley

Great zoo. A little pricey, but it is privately owned. The bird area was cool. Loved that the animals are so up close. I do agree with others that the big cats and bears do not have much space and mostly concrete.

Jessica Schreck

First time here today and we were pleasantly surprised with how awesome it was. Many reviews complain about the price (which is only $20/adult) and then complain that some enclosures are too small, how do you think they will ever get to enlarge these areas if they just let people in cheap? I hope to see some of these beautiful animals in larger enclosures too, but understand the process. Had a great time feeding the giraffes and watching the monkeys. Everything was very clean and easy to get to.

Gracie b

This is a wonderful place to take your little ones. Went here with my nephew and sister in law and made memories to last a life time. I have also never seen such an active and dedicated staff at a zoo. It seemed like every exhibit had multiple volunteers and staff members maintaining habitats and taking care of the animals. No sad mopey zoo lion or animals in cold concrete cells.

Joe Baker

Nice place to spend the day with family

Brittany Milanowski

The staff is very friendly and the animals are all nice and super cute. Here are a few of my favorite animals there.

Sandra Ortega

I thought it was so great and it's so awesome to be around roaming Animals...it is a little expensive per person but I love how they have other cool activities to do with the animals like feeding bear juice to the bears my kids and husband loved doing that

Tina Manuel

Super great place!

Katherine Maney

I've gone to this zoo for 27 years and love it! One may think that admission is expensive but when you look at all the zoo has to offer, it isn't bad!! Plan on spending a full day there, so much to do and see!! Don't worry, the is a food stand that had delicious food that is reasonable! Couple of suggstions: wear tennis shoes, bring quarters for feed machines & cash. Once inside the park, you can only use cash. Such a fun time for all ages!

Virginia Peterson

It is a fun clean family friendly place

Deborah Miller

It is a very cute, hands on zoo for children and adults. The animals that are allowed to graze freely are very tame and patient with the children. The bird house, where you are able to feed hundreds of parakettes, is adorable. It is a little pricey, but the money is put right back into the animals upkeep, etc. Worth the trip and expense with toddlers especially.

Melanie Richards

Love this place! It is so wonderful to see these animals. They are well cared for and you are able to interact with a lot of them. Highly recommend for everyone.

mama hotmess

The kids had fun however it's so expensive And the facilities are nothing great. When we were there they had construction that seemed to stress the animals out. That was disappointing to us but again our kids didn't mind.

Kathy Crawford

Great place to take the granddaughter. She loved it as did I. My issue is that a lot of animals are in cages with only cement floors. Mountain lions, panther, bears etc. They need grass under their feet. It's not what their habitat should be.bit breaks my heart.

Bob Weeks

Rather expensive but they have expanded it quite a bit You should not have to pay for the tram after you have paid such a high entrance fee.

Kristen Pollack

Beautiful, absolutely stunning zoo. My daughter loved feeding and petting all the animals. Feeding the giraffes was by far her favorite.

Sushma Tiwari

My families all time fav zoo specially u can enjoy more with ur toddler/big kids

Dan And Tasha Suhsen

Amazing interactive zoo!! Very open concept layout. Many animals other Wisconsin zoo's do not have.

eileen thao

It was a great place to visit however the bears and wolves did not have any water areas to soak in and it was very hot today.

Stephen Oleszkowicz

I've visited here twice and for the most part I enjoyed it both times. The cages felt a bit cramped, and not all of the animals seemed completely comfortable. For example the leapords were pacing in an agitated way both times we were there. I think they are bothered by the tigers across from them. And the one tiger was hissing and pacing as well. The positive of the small venue is that you can get pretty up close and personal with many of the animals even feeding most right out of your hand. Some of the cages seemed dirty, Hyenas and bears stunk bad, I don't think they stink that bad in the wild. Changing tables not in all of the bathrooms which seemed wrong since zoo's are all about kids! I don't mind donating to support the animals, but after the $25/adult to get in, you have to pay for the animal feed, tram ride, restaurant, and of course you have pass through the gift shop just to leave. The vending machine prices were too high ($1.25 for a tiny bag of chips, $1.75 for a small candy bar) make a profit, but don't price gouge just because you have a captive audiance!

Michael Cleary

I have been to many a zoo, this one was far and away the best. Open concept, free range for a good number of animals, truly a one of a kind experience.

Jessie95Lee

Kind of disappointed with how expensive it was to get in and not getting alot of hands on experience with the animals. You can go to the deyoung zoo and hold baby tigers and other animals for cheaper then here. The giraffes were cool tho. Also if you're paying $20 to get in the Safari ride should be free.

Dr. Nate Samuelson

Let me start by saying this zoo is not your typical zoo. Many others have small areas where the animals might interact with you. Not here, you have a large area where you observe animals like in other zoo's but while you do deer are roaming around. My son sat and petted one for 15 minutes! The only reason he left was so he could feed the giraffes. Not only can you feed giraffes but you get to feed bears juices from a bottle. My wife loved that. Then the friendly staff allows you to pet other animals. My son chose to pet a lions head bunny. They have many others to choose from. We spent almost 3.5 hours here and we enjoy it each time. The cost of admission is high but they do take good care if the animals which makes it worth it. The only complaint I have is that I wish they had someone watch the small bunnies closer so children aren't rough with them. We recommend this zoo to family and friends.

Elizabeth Kostelnik

Fun! Really enjoyed this place. My 1.5 yr old also enjoyed it, especially loved interacting with the animals. Bird house was awesome! We took the Safari tram. It was a nice ride, but I thought the $8 per ticket price for the tram was too expensive. Maybe if it were included in the admission price or $3-5 a ticket, it would be worthwhile.

David Behnke

There are a ton of fun animals to see.

James White

Nice staff and great bargain for your dollars!

Jon Guse

Great day for a walk and see the animals. Staff was friendly and helpful.

A Stroud

The best zoo we have ever been to. Super clean and toddlers love it.

Timothy Thompson

Very clean and nice place to visit.

lisa babcock

It has grown so much since I've been there last. Had a great day with my 5 year old grandaughter and her class...cant wait to go back with my other grandchildren. Great variety of animals...just wish some of the enclosures were bigger they seem to be kind of confined

Mabel Graveen

It's ok. But it is also VERY expensive. I remember going a long time ago, back when it was Jim pecks, you could take a family of five for 30-40 dollars. Now you at least need a couple hundred to have a good time and be able to do all the activities. But otherwise, if you have the money, it is very fun. Especially for the kids

dana henderson

What a great zoo! You get to pet deer and other animals. 2nd largest zoo in Wisconsin. Friendly staff

Meghan Tarantino

I have never experienced such a hands on place. Even 3 years later I tell everyone it's worth the drive. Absolutely loved it even my oldest still talks about it. Hope to bring the kids again this Summer before oldest leaves for college. A once in a lifetime experience for my family and I.

Nancy Maas

We will be visiting again. Well worth the two hour drive. The grounds and pens are all well kept and the animals are healthy and happy.

Heath Blodgett

Beautiful park and has lots to offer. I just wish their prices were a little lower.

Dawn Rekowski

Great place for kids. Admission is pretty high. Milwaukee zoo is only 15.00 a person and the animals have more freedom. Just saying.

Tim Harris

Great experience, family loved it,loved the new expanded areas

Nick Matuszewski

A bit expensive but a great zoo to visit.

Brian Underhill

Good variety of animals and great opportunities to get up close and personal with animals

Hannah O'Connell

Our 1 year old loved being able to roam around and get up close and personal with the animals. Great zoo for being in the northwoods. Lots to do, but many of the attractions cost more to do.

Tim B

This is what a zoo shouldn't be. Animals in tiny cages, being hand fed, chased, and molested by screaming children isn't the way animals should be treated. The habitats are too small to be healthy for the larger animals (cats, giraffes, etc) and you could see they were bored/neurotic. I also saw a minimum of at least 6 different animals with injuries/deformities/or weight issues. This is why circuses stopped the trained and caged animals routine; now we just need to close down these "zoos" too.

Kim Laporte

Awesome place to bring friends and family!!

Ken Moberg

The park was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Incredible variety of animals and experiences! The parakeet encounter was amazing! We loved our time there!

Scott Bohlmann

Wildwood Wildlife Park is a must see attraction for families visiting the Minoqua area. The cost is s bit higher then some may like but the variety and quality of things to see make it a great value. The opening area has lots of hands on opportunities for little kids, with the animal enclosures are designed for easy viewing. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful when working with kids or answering questions. They have picnic areas as well as good for sale. I recommend arriving at opening (9am) to beat the rush and see most animals active.

Hellkittenaries *

By far, the best zoo I've ever been to. When you come in, there are animals free roaming that you can pet including a big bunny, a pig, and some goats. There's a cockatoo that likes to whistle at you and sometimes says "pretty bird" and "hello". On average, you get to be pretty close to most of the animals which makes for some awesome photos. It's worth the $20 adult admission... One thing that I would change is the zebra enclosure. It needs to be more approachable. I found it odd that they were so far away and the fence was so high.

Toni Lugar

Clean, green, friendly and fun.The animals, birds and reptiles have nice homes. Very children oriented..for up to 100 years ❣

Amy Plum

My favorite zoo of them all. Small enough to create a more intimate experience with the animals, and not exhaust one in seeing it all, large enough to have a diverse and exciting wildlife experience. I love that there is no asphalt! Lots of shade and natural landscaping. Animals appear well cared for. Lots of hands on interaction with animals! Always a fawn or more to pet, other baby animals to interact with as well. Very clean and knowledgeable staff to answer questions. A fabulous experience for adults and kids.

Owen Schulz

Alot of different animals spread out decent. Interactive with some of them too.

Veronica Cummings

A yearly visit with family. So clean. LOVE!!!

Eric Gruenewald

A real surprise in the northwoods! They had animals you would have never expected to see there including giraffes and penguins. All the buildings were very well maintained, most very new. The dino dig area is great for kids. The free roaming animals, like deer and various birds, is very unique and keeps you interested in all the spaces between enclosures. The great care the animals receive is very evident. We were only there a few hours, but could have spent the entire day there. They have some food and beverage, but a lot of people packed lunches. Prepare for rougher terrain, some paved or stone paths, but a lot of open grassy areas you'll want to explore also. Well worth the admission!

BIG TINO

Great little place to take the kids and grandkids in the northwoods. A lot of animals to see and feeding them is so much fun for the kids.

Joey Skaggs

Most interactive zoo I've been at.

Kirt Haeberlein

10+ Awesome setting. Great staff. Animals seem very happy. Loved everything about this hidden gem!

Joe Moschetti

Great place to bring the family

Philip Doll

This was my fourth time visiting Wildwood, and it's always a blast!

Jamee Rogers

Love this place! We went on Tuesday so it wasn't crowded at all. Things to know: bring cash (they take credit cards for admission butbit is cash only). Either buy a bag of feed when you get there or have them give you some quarters (like $2 was plenty). They have food but you can also bring your own and they have s very nice picnic area by the water. You can return to your car so no need to carry your cooler. Changing tables in every restroom and plenty of restrooms throughout. My son loved the parakeet house where you can buy birdseed sticks and the birds will perch on them. Roaming deer (and fawns since we came in May), turtles, and goats. Really amazing. Sand pit where they can freely play for a bit and "dig dinosaur bones".

Lori Barker

Very fun place, you can get so up close to the animals, we are from se Wisconsin, but will definitely be back

Banana Peelz

Great experience for kids. My nieces and nephews, ages 14 down to 7yrs old all had a great time. They have unique things to do that you get to interact with the animals that other places dont have.

Zachary Martin

Great zoo with some unique opportunities like petting goats, bunnies, and deer, and also getting to feed bears, giraffes, and birds in a giant bird enclosure.

Jim Simpson

Able to get up close to the animals.

Jake Garvey

I've been going since I was a little kid, and it's always buckets of fun. Walk in and immediately find yourself surrounded by animals you've probably never heard of, and you can touch and hold many of them. As you venture deeper, there are plenty more animals to see and feed. Including adult black bears! I would definitely recommend going on the Safari ride and seeing those animals too. You can spend the whole day day and never run out of fun!

Marissa Kraker

Admission is a bit high but this is a cute little zoo and fun up north activity to do. Some of the animals really need larger exhibits though. It's fun that the deer and goats free roam and you can pet and feed them. We always enjoy our visits here.

onyx claws

I come here every year when I come to visit family and I absolutely love it every time! Every experience there feels new. The staff are well educated on most all the animals there. Every year I leave knowing something new, if not many things. It is also really neat that they let some of the wildlife roam free and interact with people if they want. You can feed a giraffe if you want, or a bear if thats more your style. They do have a little high of an entry cost but they have no state funding and it is well worth every penny! If you are looking for something to do with the whole family while in town I hole-heartidly recommend making this a stop!

Mel K

This is the best zoo in Wisconsin!! Love feeding the goats and deer that roam freely. It's always a great time feeding the bears their soda as well, just make sure to get there early. The grounds are always clean, animals always look healthy and well cared for, and staff are always friendly. It's a must see for our family every summer. Keep up the great work!

Haley Hill

Love this place! I always try to make there once a year. Took my boyfriend's family with this year and everyone had a really good time

Danielle Liebe

From being able to feed bears some juice, to seeing some great big cats, you can experience an abundance of animals in this zoo. They have several aviary exhibits and a reptile and primate building. Free roaming deer, goats, and piggies to feed and pet. There is honestly so much to do, there is something for everyone! A bunch of opportunities to learn. Will keep coming here again and again!

Patricio Junior the third

Nice pleasant family oriented park.

Mike hURLEY

Favorite zoo of all time! Highly recommended

Eli Edwards

Omg!! So many animals! All healthy and happy. Great time to enjoy and learn about local and exotic animals.

Karl K

The parakeet house was a trip since nobody else was there. Getting close to and petting some animals was a thrill.

D Hagstrom

Great place for kids of all ages. Very interactive. Get there early while the animals are still hungry if you want to feed them.

kim venegas

Great time, beautiful place!!

Elizabeth Erickson

I visited this zoo last summer and was very disappointed in the way that all of the animals were treated. Many were in obvious distress including a black bear in a small enclosure who was obese and one of the large cats who was pacing and charging towards the wall. Many of the deer were being chased by children and were obviously stressed. I think they have more animals than they can safely handle. They also did a poor job with signage/education as there was very little to no information about the animals. I love going to zoos but left this one feeling sad and upset.

Kevin Watts

Really glad my girlfriend and I had the opportunity to stop here last weekend. We enjoyed interacting with the deer and seeing all of the other awesome animals they have here.

Paul Ray

Awesome place for the kids to get up close and personal with the animals.

Nathan Flaminio

Haven't been here since I was a teenager, but it's still an awesome place to go! It's surprising the different animals they have. Some you'd expect for northern Wisconsin, but others you wouldn't think to see here. You can pet a lot of the animals, give a bear a drink, and get covered in Budgies. They have food and drinks, and you can get food for the animals. This is a must see at least once in your life!

Russell Clark

I wish the paths were paved, but everything else was excellent.

Lisa Iribarren

So fun!! We took the safari ride and that was worth it. My husband and really enjoyed our date here. Very wonderful zoo.

Dad 1958

My son told me about this place and I had a hard time believing him because I've been through Minocqua many times and I've never even seen it. Our day there was delightful and informative and Incredibly surprising with animals roaming all through the grounds and the cleanliness in beautiful surroundings. The ability to feed many different types of animals the lighted my grandson. The $5 admission per person was well worth it and we will be going back before they close for the season. Triple thumbs up

Amanda Shefchik

Super interactive zoo - the kids loved feeding the birds and goats!

Stacy Martin

Wildwood zoo is a fantastic place to visit no matter what age you are. My mother-in-law and I went yesterday with my two boys (8 and 6 years old) and we spent two solid hours in the zoo. They have everything you can imagine plus more: giraffes, bears, apes, lions, big cats, unique bird species, zebra, camel, kangaroo, penguins, a parakeet room, free-ranging deer, and so so much more. The $20/person admission fee we paid was more than fair, considering how much money it must cost to run the place. The grounds are pristine...it’s rare to actually see poop on the ground, as there are tons of employees on poop patrol. I was thinking I’d have to wash my shoes at home after visiting, but that wasn’t the case. No poop on my shoes at all. The owners do a stellar job of maintaining (and continually improving) this place and clearly have the visitor’s experience in mind as top priority. Yes, there are occasional whiffs of strong urine odor around certain exhibits, but that awful smell is unique to that particular animal (bears, fox, cats in particular). You can’t really prevent that strong smell around those animals....it’s who they are. Take a few more steps past the pee smell and you get a whiff of bleach. It’s evident that the employees are constantly cleaning all the output from these beautiful creatures. Now, about the size of the exhibits... yes, many of the exhibits are “too small” for the animals in them, considering that in their wild habitat they have much more freedom and space to roam. However, the purpose of a zoo is to showcase the animals for humans to get close and view. We humans go to these places to SEE these beautiful animals up close. They are put on display for us, and we pay for our admission to do so. If you want an experience where you see happy animals existing in their native, open habitat, you would pay to go on safari in their native habitat. Zoo owners do the best they can with what resources they have to work with. And without this particular zoo, many humans would never get this experience of getting so close to these beautiful creatures. The experience is priceless. Wildwood zoo, in my opinion, is operating highly above average. I highly recommend visiting Wildwood zoo at least once in your life. We will go every year.

Mama Cenicientas

So many animals ! Kind of expensive but great variety of animals and fun for all ages!

Chandra Lynn

Thought it was a little pricey at first, but when you step inside, you see why! This place is huge and so much fun! They have so many animals and exhibits. The goats and river otters greet you with excitement. The staff is very involved and makes the experience even better. Love the giraffes and feeding them carrots, the deer roaming, adorable penguins and the very active Gibbons!

Paul pinzer

A very nice zoo in the North woods.

Linda KUBITZ

Best zoo I have ever been to. Make sure you plan on spending a lot of time here. Love this place!

Samantha Erickson

Because it got my favorite animals like tigers

Jennifer Q.

I loved how some of the animals are free to roam the zoo.

Russell Mccoy

It was a fun day going through the zoo.

Amy Miller

Nice place to go to pass time. Tame deer running around make it an interesting day. Best to go when all the babies are born!

REVOLUTION Smith

This place is awesome a must see. They have a bird in here that is a complete joker it was hilarious

Gina

Beautiful place. So well taken care of. Love to spend the day.

adam shefchik

Great zoo up close and personal

Derek Schultz

This is one of our favorite stops everytime we come up north. It's super open and spacious and interactive with free roaming deer and goats and turtles and more. A lot of interesting wildlife you won't find in your local zoo. My favorite part is giving the bear an ice cold drink. The kids always love it. This is a must see if you're in the area.

Ma Vue

In the back of my mind I kept thinking about the feelings of the animals. Then again I did choose to go to the zoo. Good variety of animals and the local non predators/ farm animals get to roam around the place with you. A lot if interactive experiences and you can get pretty close to the animals. My 2nd best zoo in WI. 1st in terms of kid friendly and small crowds. Some kids do need to be put on a leash because they can agitate the animals. We didn't get to see any fish because the ponds were too green.

Jon Novak

Great place for the family. Tons of animals to see and pet.

Bob

Great day to explore different species.

TTV faze sawy

I love the zoo and how the deer can walk around the park

Barbars Betts

Great zoo, the staff very welcoming.

Julie Anderson

Very nice lay out, even my teens loved being there!

April Grimm

There was so much to see and to engage with our children!

Mrhamishbull

Great park! Lots of animals and always seems to be expanding.

Brandon Montu

Low cost. Great way to spend the whole day with the family

Nick Kuehn

Daughter loved all of the animals, but for the price to get in, you better take your time and enjoy it!

Jeremy Carmon

Great place for the whole famy!

Amy P

So many great times here with my children! Clean, everyone is friendly, unique animal experiences, healthy looking animals. Much better than other things that I've been too! Worth the trip :-)

Tim Grady

Best "zoo" ever. You can touch baby animals and pet the deer.

Danielle Arndt

Very family friendly. Clean and many exotic animals

Jody Niber

All was wonderful other than the tram ride. For $8 a person, to me it was not worth the $8.

Polly Belt

Loved getting up close to some animals that you normally never would be able to.

Garrett Frankwick

Wonderful zoo! There is a ton of animals but they are not spread out too much, so it is great for young kids.

Joan Mocadlo

Very clean alot of different animals and information

JG

Great place to visit. My daughter enjoyed being able to interact with the animals! Will definitely come back.

Trisha Severt

I love everything you have done with the place. I remember going back when it was Jim Peck's. Keep up the amazing job. I can't wait to see what's next.

Cheryl Niemela

Never been before but would recommend to everyone.

Jim McMahon

Great place to experience wildlife up close! While this isn't the cheapest place to take your family, it is worth it. They have added quite a few attractions since the last time we visited, including a parakeet house (which was pretty cool) and the giraffes (who will eat treats from your mouth with their long tongues)! Plan on spending several hours here, or until the kids get tired.

Angie Kisfalusi

It was great and the deer you could pet were everywhere in the open. Well worth the money.

Merri Orgeman

Grandson lived it, sure has change since our daughter was his age.

Haley Kolasch

Very disappointing. Animals have small concrete exhibits and seem to be stressed/bored. The screaming kids chasing the animals while their parents laugh makes it even worse. Wouldn’t recommend this “zoo” to anyone and places like this need to be shut down.

Ellen Arndt

Awesome and the monkeys were the best! Had a great visit!

Alexandra Ponce de Leon

This place is great; especially for young kids. There is a petting zoo with goats, hogs, bunnies and more and a surprising amount of safari animals. The park is very clean and the staff is really friendly.

Courtney Kaiser

Great place that's fun for the whole family. Even though seeing some animals behind cages was upsetting, they take very good care of them and are constantly cleaning and ensuring the safety of the animals and visitors. Could be more affordable.

Michael Garcia

By far the best zoo in Wisconsin.

Anna

This is a privately-run zoo so it is a little more expensive than regular zoos but it is totally worth it. It may be the second largest zoo in the state but it is definitely the best. Be sure to bring some dollars along so you can give the Bears some juice, feed the deer and the adorable pigs, and of course the parakeets. Lots of new additions to the zoo since the last time I've been there so is plenty to keep you occupied for the majority of the day.

Amanda Peterson

We took the kids fornthe day and they absolutely loved it!! I enjoyed it very much as well!

Jessica Meyer

Growing up, my parents used to take my sister's and I every summer and it was always a highlight. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to take my four daughters there and we had a blast! The staff and obvious care for the animals and the cleanliness of the grounds is above and beyond any other zoo in the northern Wisconsin and Michigan area. We can't wait to visit again!

Brooke Jordan

Always fun for kids. Well maintained and they are always expanding and reimagining.

Truck Bait

Overall, it is a wonderful place. For the most part, the animals were neat and seemed healthy and happy. The only problem is that due to the "all natural" paths, the park is only partially handicap accessible. People in wheelchairs would have difficulties at this particular park. Otherwise, it is pretty idyllic.

Julie Sweet

Great place to spend the day!

Witte's World

Best Wildlife park in Northern Wisconsin! The animals are well cared for and happy!!! The kids lived the Dinosaur dig park.

Tonia Miske

I went here as a kid. It had grown since then. I remember feeding the beers back then and got to experience it again with my grandson. The tram was awesome. My grandson love it. The parakeet house was our favorite!

Patricia Hoffman

We had such a great time! The parakeet building was SO fun! Allie the associate in the building was very informative. We loved her. It was our favorite but all the exhibits were great.

Alane Coleman

Very nice family fun

Mark Norris

Was pleasantly surprised by the park. Great hands on with the animals.

Aaron Vander Bloomen

The safari ride was awesome, the animals come right up to you.

Nick Kupinski

This is a hidden gem of a place in northern Wisconsin. Very well run facility and you can tell the animals are taken care of properly. You can have such different experiences here being able to pet many animals and feed a bear. Bring some bug spray though as usual, they can be beastly.

Kacey Vicker

Had a great time. To all of the people that havent been there, get there before 4 becauss the petting zoo closes soon after that. And the petting zoo is super cool!

Jacob Anderson

Best zoo north of Milwaukee. Full range of animals, petting zoo and a safari ride. Only place like it in the northwoods. Buy the season pass if you can go more than 2 times in the summer.

Jackie Duchan

They have some pretty cool animals here, zebras, tigers, lots a birds and other animals. You can feed the giraffes, birds, and bear.

Nathan Mesalk

When children think of Zoo's a lot draw the animals in cages, not in an enclosure where they have room to roam like typical zoo's. This zoo is a perfect example of CAGES!!! Most of the cages were concrete with no soft spots or anything natural to the animal natural habitat. Every cage was extremely small. The bear cage was so small the extremely obese bears couldn't even move. I will drive to Milwaukee or Minneapolis to see a REAL zoo. Don't waste your time or money going to this zoo.

Darius Peckus

Fantastic place great variety of animals to see and feed...a great spot for kids of all ages..

Maple Gator89

Great place to be, always has been always will be. Xoxo

Bruce Donakowski

Very nice place Had a great time visiting!

Benjamin

This place is outrageous. We watched two turtles get it on and then a pig the size of a fridge oinked it’s way into our hearts. Don’t you dare miss this if you’re in the area!! I uploaded the proof for your viewing pleasure

Breanne Beyer

This place was great. Definitely worth the drive from the Fox Valley. We will be back in the future!

jimmy wagner

Honestly my favorite zoo by a long shot! Got the nashville and knoxville zoo's within an hour of me as well as Chattanooga and I'd chose wildwood over them all. Great family experience and it's the perfect size. And you have the chance to get up close and interact with many animals. We try to go every time were up home!

Dan G

Such an awesome place, feed the animals and see some you might not expect.

Bob Fehr

Great place to take the kids

Evan Giannoni

It's a good time getting to walk around with some free roaming animals, and having birds fly around and land on you at the parakeet exhibit is a good time, but geez can things get pricey in there. Age 12 and up is $20 admission, and if you're staying for any amount of time you'll end up needing a snack or some water which they definitely make a killing off of. If that doesn't matter to you, then go right ahead. But, if you're trying to find budget friendly activities, I'd look for alternatives.

nancy kluck

Great day at the zoo!! Thank you Duane and Judy!!!

R. Goldberg

Nice zoo with a lot of animals you can pet and feed so great for kids. Get there when they open because it gets crowded around noon. It takes about 4 hours to see everything. Plan to brings drinks and snacks because the prices for food is way too high. You do not see many different animals on the tram ride so it is not worth the money. Some cages seem way too small for the animals.

Rhonda Swensen

Loved this place❤ Deer roaming free. Beautiful Beautiful place. Just wish animals had bigger places to live. Sad in cages. But we absolutely loved this zoo. I could of stayed all day but was pouring rain
