Its the best place to go to have a picnic with your family, the perfect place to relax, to have a hike, to have a date, for your kids to play and burn off energy, and the zoo there is amazing. I love going there with my girlfriend to hangout and to go one hikes. You'll love it there.

Lots of improvements on the animals enclosures. Has plenty of playground equipment, unless you have a child with special needs. Very popular spot for family get togethers. Not many places this nice to take the family for free, especially with the petting zoo.

A cute place that has many areas to sit and relax with family. The animals look happy which is a plus as caged animals of course have a difficult time. Respect the park and clean up after yourself! Ride the trails and enjoy the views of nature!

A small, kid friendly zoo, perfect for kids ages 10 and below. You'll be able to walk through in about 30 minutes. Easy access parking with nearby picnic area and playground. You'll be able to enjoy and entire afternoon here with the kids.

Plenty of animals to look at. A park for children to play in near a clear picnic area with shade. You can walk or drive around the whole thing. A small, mostly calm river is seen winding around the whole park.

Absolutely amazing! Animals always seem happy and their enclosures are always kept clean! Beautiful pavillion, fun playground, gorgeous driving road and walking trails as well! I know in the summer they also have a splash pad which always seems to be busy! I only 25 min away and have been going here the past 7 years and plan to continue. Whether your looking for an adventure seeing animals and hiking or relaxing and having a bbq - this is one or the best outdoor areas in the area in my opinion!

Lovely park with plenty of picnic areas, a large building with kitchen and separate area for rent for occasions as well as several other rentable pavilions... bathrooms, and of course all the animals...several playground pieces for the kiddos... but be warned, they have held and still hold weddings...but that fore mentioned pavilion with private space is booked well in advance, as are many of the others, so if you are planning any occasion book ahead...you won't be disappointed!

Irvine is a gem, in an otherwise very overlooked community. The water is clean and abundant, there are old steam trains to check out, and a recently upgraded zoo! Check out the baby lemur!

This is a cute little zoo. If it’s too hot to walk outside, you can drive around some of the bigger exhibits, where you may see the tigers, black bears, bison, and elk. I’d suggest at least taking some time to see the handful of smaller exhibits they have, the porcupines are pretty cute! They also have a petting zoo where you can feed the goats. If you’re looking to kill an hour or so, I’d give it a try!

This is a very nice smaller zoo. Visiting is free and if you have kids you can probably look at all the animals in about an hour. There is also a loop you can drive it walk around to look at some herds of different animals. They also have several playgrounds and multiple shelters that can be used for get togethers. Overall a great place that is well kept!

Fun little place in Chippewa to bring your kids or dogs. Dogs aren't allowed in the zoo portion but can walk on the outside. Not many animals but the ones they have you can get an up close view without traveling to Minneapolis.

I'm originally from Chippewa Falls but moved away after high school but come back often to visit. So I've seen Irvine Park really develop over the past 45 years and the zoo area has really seen improvement. A great place to picnic and to hangout with friends and family. Some nice playgrounds for the kids, Duncan Creek for wading, and Glen Loch are all especially beautiful. Plan on a visit, you'll surely agree.

A local and historic park. Hometown feel in any season, great place for family events and gatherings, staff is helpful and friendly. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but I normally ride my bike through the park to avoid this issue. Park has recently gone through many updates including new zoo facilities and equipment. Great place to check in if you like history or are looking for a good place to host a family oriented event.
