Best zoo for small kids. They have it all, playgrounds, petting zoo, feeding animals, monkeys, reptiles, huge 111 year old turtle, pony rides, camel rides, fish, and more. And prices are reasonable.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We did go on a hot day and animals were pretty much resting or avoiding the heat when possible. The children loved the petting and feeding area but I felt bad for the goats because they were panting from the heat amd there just did not seem like enough shaded area. The outside play space was fun but all of the inflatables were deflated i am assuming due to high temps. All in all i will probably attend again just go during cooler months.

My kids love this place. It's always been awesome, but they've made it even better by building a better "contact area" and making a new rule that the goats and sheep can only be fed thru the fence, which keeps one from being bum rushed by overly enthusiastic goats. The pony rides make my kids so happy. We come at least twice a year!

Fun for the family, only gets 4 stars because its just a little too expensive to go back to all the time. Good for younger kids awesome play place inside, big slides outside, small club houses, and of coarse all the cool animals. Would definitely recommend.

The are a good place to go visit but not so much for booking events you will get the run around because their special events team is hardly there. They tell you you can book online but you can’t you can only put in a request for it. I had an event “planned” and got told last minute that my even couldn’t be booked. Very bad for a place of business smh

Beautiful place for the family, specially those little kids who may not be ready to walk a whole zoo or interested in very exotic animals. Lots of shade, lots of animals to pet, clean restrooms, friendly staff. It was a beautiful experience with my daughter.

Had so much fun today with our 2 year old and her bestfriend. They both enjoyed the pony ride. There are lots of animals and play area. We specifically love the discovery room and indoor playground. The wagon ride was so much fun. Our toddler's favorite is sitting in the pond to feed the fishes and geese.

I am not a big fan of zoo's which handicap animals in unreasonable enclosures. Having said that , Leesburg Animal Park doesn't try to impress you caging in a huge variety of animals : most of them are domesticated animals found on farms. The reason I didn't give a 5 star rating to this otherwise incredible toddler destination is because of poor maintenance of structures. The reason I recommend this place is because 2-6 year olds have plenty to do: animal feeding, petting, park, toy homes to play hide and seek, slides for the young and the old, jungle gym, birthday party celebration packages, video room, horse rides, inflatables to keep bouncing on all day....the list seems endless.

I absolutely loved this place. Very friendly staff and the animals are well taken care of. We watched a reptile animal show which my kid loved. We went during winter months so couldn't enjoy the outdoors kid activities so we'll be going back for sure

So freaking lame! It was a very hot day and half of the water troughs were empty. There was no staff to be seen anywhere except the gift shop/cashier. It was really sad and a total waste of time and a ridiculous amount of money.

Snacks and drinks are overpriced but it was fun overall. There is lots of gravel and dirt so wear appropriate shoes.

This is a nice place to take kids of all ages. Although it was educational, not everything one of the presenters said was factual. For instance, when my 6-year-old nephew asked if chinchillas release fur when caught (aka "fur slip"), the presenter said no and that he was thinking of a porcupine. When he started to tell her what he learned from the zookeeper presentation at his school about chinchillas releasing fur, she said "This isn't story time." This same presenter also said that the reason a leopard gecko's tail is fat is because it can be released if a predator captures it. Although this can happen, I'm pretty sure the main reason for the fat tail is because it's a storage for food. She must have the leopard gecko confused with the chinchilla! All the other things about this place were great. The other presenter was very knowledgeable and kind to all the kids. The facility is clean and there are many animals to see and pet for a pretty reasonable price.

I came here to a friend of my child's birthday party. My expectations were low. This place surprised me. They had food you could purchase to feed the animals, there is a jungle gym for the kids to play with that's indoors and air conditioned. They have petting areas and various places to play outside. This place is very accessible off the road in Leesburg with unpaved parking. They are very conscientious about clean hands and the staff are very helpful. I definitely recommend this place if you want to keep the little ones entertained with ponies, birds, goats, reptiles, and donkeys.

So much fun! I had a blast with my family. They had so many activities, just in case you don't want to feed the animals. They're okay areas inside and outside. Along with small houses to play in and pony rides. And if you purchase a ticket for the pony ride and your little one is to exhausted and needs to leave for a nap, you can use them another day, WHICH IS TOTALLY AWESOME!

We came during the pumpkin festival on a Saturday morning. There are truly so many activities indoor and outdoor. My 4 year old son has an absolute blast. Easily recommend to anyone in the northern Virginia or dmv area. Well done! Great for kids!

This place was extremely beautiful, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed coming here. What was the best were the many free roaming geese and ducks. They also have wagon rides, horse rides and camel rides. Also the trainers really love their jobs and animals! Would definitely come again!

We go to this park at least twice a year. My kids always beg me to go. They have so much to do. Inside they have a huge play area my kids would love to do just that alone. They have many animals you can feed. There are many play sets as well. We always go to pumpkinville for the fall activities. They have moon bounces, slides, and hayrides. Each ticket gets a free pumpkin. It’s great family fun!

So much fun for the whole family! The contact area is a lot of fun for little ones and I love that they have the option to brush the animals. My 5 year old would have happily brushed the animals for hours. We went in the spring so there were a lot of adorable babies. Everyone who worked there was very pleasant. They have so many outdoor play areas that we didn't have time to enjoy the inside playground before we left to have lunch but hope to come back soon and play there! It looked like a lot of fun!

Wayyy overpriced to see some goats and geese... Staff non existent....except to take your money when you come in and watch you like you like a hawk .....while u browse their also overpriced gift shop "Zoo" Dont think so...... Bring your own cooler with cold drinks or snacks... Or you will be out ANOTHER $50 for a soda and an ice cream for a family of 3 or 4 Smh.... Ridiculous...

The zoo it fun, it seems the only animals you can really pet or interact with are the goats. Although you can feed a couple of other animals. It's a bit up there in price but it's a fun time

Lovely place. But its worst place to go right after rain. So make sure you visit on beautiful day. We were there for Pumpkin fall festival. My little one loved bouncing, sliding, hayride and many more. We might visit next time.

Although it's a bit out there, the Leesburg Animal Park does not disappoint. With Llamas, Camels, Zebus, Goats, Sheep, Deer and other animals you can feed and touch, a hay ride, things for little ones to climb on and an appreciable slide, it's fun for the whole family. There are also seasonal events so check the site regularly.

Awesome! Kids loved it. They didn't know what to do first, there were outdoor slides and an indoor jungle gym. Even my husband and sister got to ride camels lol. Pony rides were pretty short and one kid wouldn't ride... Unfortunately they wouldn't refund the money or let us trade for camel rides. We only wish the property were bigger with more animals...

I love Leesburg Animal Park! Its always very clean and the animals are all very well taken care of. All the staff that I have meet are all friendly and well informed about their animals. This place has come a long way over the years and every year it gets better and better. They have a brand new entrance building with a massive indoor play structure and an arts and crafts room for the kids, and a bunch of exotic animal exhibits inside including a sloth and lemurs. There is also a very nice theater room where the animal keepers do scheduled educational talks and encounters with the animals for free. Outside Leesburg animal park has a nice open feeling and it kept clean by the staff. They have pony rides every day and camel rides on the weekends for a few dollars. They have several exotic animal exhibits and many domestic animals, which you can pet and feed. This may be a small place, but it feels very big and quiet. Leesburg animal park is a great place for families and I would highly recommend it.

Came here today hopeful that the animals weren’t mistreated or abused and ended up watching a camel cruelly punished for collapsing during a ride. This poor animal was clearly exhausted and overwhelmed. These animals are not meant to be used for our entertainment. My heart feels so heavy for the poor animal and I am so disappointed to see a staff member handling the situation the way he did. Will never return to this place and hope this review encourages to not bring their business here either.

Great for the under 10 crowd. Animals to feed, from various kinds of goats, a camel, pigs, to other rarer types of animals, wallabies, gibbons, lemurs. And tortises. Ride a horse. Take a tractor ride, feed some fish, ride a burlap sack down some longer hill slides, and let the kids play in various wooden structures.

I am torn about this place on the one hand I think it is a great little Zoo it's a great first intro to animals for very young children it's a great opportunity to feed animals in a safe environment. However the enclosures that many of the animals are kept in all day and possibly all night to our maybe 10 ft by 10 ft and way too small for the animals. They have also improved their facility at the expense of their value it used to be that admissions included a small amount of food to feed the animals but now they charge you separately for that. As somebody who keeps animals myself it seems cheap and almost greedy to not include food for gas even if you had to charge $0.50 more. don't be cheap Leesburg Animal Park keep your facility a good value. I would have to say that Leesburg Animal Park gives you a better up-close animal experience for feeding goats and sheep and such but I think places like Temple Hall Farm are much kinder to their animals in terms of enclosure size.

While this place is kind of expensive ($90 for 3 kids and 3 adults) the park is nice. There were several domestic and foreign animals and a large indoor and medium sized indoor playground to wear everyone out. We spent over 2.5 hours there and the kids (all under 10) never once said they were bored.

One of our favorite places to go every fall for the pumpkin village. My girls love the indoor play place and the outdoor bouncy houses! Just enough animals to entertain the kids for an hour or two and then tons of activities to make for a full day or long afternoon. We usually come during the week because the weekends are insane. Very clean facilities and family friendly.

Great place for kids, but needs more attention for cleaning. Dust on equipment everywhere inside the building, toys looks like never been cleaned. My children's socks after this zoo are always very dirty. Please pay more attention to keep this place clean.

This place offers so many variety of activities for fall festival. Me and my son had great time. Whoever planned this event were very thoughtful..beside those fun activities, rest rooms were easy to find, plus those yummy apple cider on the site with free to take home apples and pumpkins etc..staff were kinda quiet but they kept working hard so that we didn't have to wait for long...I think kids would appreciate that. Super fun spot. We have only been during the WI ter so can't comment, yet, on the outdoor space which I hear is amazing. But the indoor space also w with worth the visit. Large i door play space with trampolines, slides, climbing tubes, etc. Plus a space for smaller kids that has soft mat floor, balls, big soft blocks, play houses etc. Good for a range of kid ages. There is also a whole craft room for dress up, coloring, other crafts, and play with trucks, etc. There is an area for snacks and eating and then an animal theater where the staff bring out animals and trach the kids. Very excited to get back and do the outdoor petting farm, zoo, pony rides, etc.

Great experience for my daughter. She loved feeding the animals. Just watch when going to the open area petting zoo part. The goats are kinda aggressive when they want to eat. Staff is friendly and it's a great facility.

I have more experience with wild & exotic animals than most. I can be very critical of animal husbandry and adequate housing. I visited this establishment today, 7/2/19-a hot summer day, and could not be more impressed. The health of the animals (hooves, hair coats, body weight, clean enclosures, etc.) as well as the maintenance of the grounds showed zero faults. Properly owning these animals in today's day and age takes a lot of care and it certainly shows that the owners of Leesburg Animal Park take that seriously. We will be returning!!!

Really a great outing for the younger crowd on a nice day. For the price there is tons to do (so much we couldn't do it all before the kids ran out of energy). Many moon bounces and play structures but the highlight was definately the kids zip line and pedal cars. There was so much to do the animals took back seat to the Pumpkin Village activities. Our only suggestion is maybe a few food trucks or snack options so the little ones can refuel and get on to more fun.

I want to encourage as many people as possible to come to this adorable little zoo. I am very lucky this place is not far from my home and we get to enjoy the animals and slides. I really appreciate that they installed 2 outdoor sinks with hand soap and paper towels, very nice touch for after petting the animals. However, I do wish there were more places to sit down as you walk around the big campus, adding a few benches here and there would be great and some more shaded areas around the Park (not just the Pavilion area) would be a joy in the hot summer when most people tend to visit.

Probably one of my favorite places to take the kids. Pack a lunch, have a picnic. The indoor play area is fabulous as is the art and play center. The outside is even better with lots of animals to pet and feed. There are fun slides, play equipment and mini-shows to keep everyone occupied. Plan to stay about 3hrs. It's fun!!

Nice experience that has pony rides ($3.50)for the kids. Not a huge place but a fair amount of animals, petting area and a tractor ride included with entry fee. Inside of the main building are a few more animals. A little pricey for its size but still pretty nice place

One of the best animal interactive parks we have been to. It was so much fun. Being able to go into the contact area and pet and feed the animals close up was awesome. The baby animals meet and greet was adorable. My daughter loved petting a 3 day old lamb. It was very educational. Staff was so helpful and friendly and welcoming. We will def return and highly recommend it. I do wish there was a hand wash station near the contact area especially after feeding the pig lol The one we found the water was off. Regardless this was a 10/10 for how excellent this place is. Animals look well cared for and happy. What a fun day!

This park is worth it. We took out kids all under 10. There was a reptile intro show that was really cute and there are indoor as well as out door things for kids. The animals at the park we're happy and active. All the kids enjoyed it as did us adults. Great place to spend a few hours with the kiddos.

Very nice place, all employees are very kind and greet you with a smile. Set up is nice, loops you around several paths to see all the animals they have. Fun for the family and pleanty of picnic tables if you wanted to bring snacks to enjoy or just relax.

While animals are the main attraction, and range from petting zoo types to giant tortoises, zebras, camels, and other smaller indoor reptiles and mammals, there's just a lot in general to do here with small kids. Two large hill slides, multiple outdoor play structures, a short tractor-pulled wagon ride, a pony ride, and a huge indoor play structure.

Awesome place to take the kids and introduce them to various animals. They even having a petting area with sheep and goats. The other side of the Animal Park is a massive play area in a field with slides and various stuff for the kids to climb on. They need to have more shaded areas and amenities to beat the heat around the park though such as water misters or outdoor water fountains?
