REVIEWS OF Northwest Trek Wildlife Park IN Washington

Jasmin Nelson

I love NW trek! I am a native Pacific Northwesterner and have been visiting there my whole life. The best part is that the experience is different every time. You never know which animals you will see and what they will be doing. One constant is that you can find yummy treats at the cafe and cuddly keepsakes at the gift shop.

Janet Hedtke

Very nice park....fun tram gsr iduide (Caleb). Beautiful day today!! walk around and enjoy the animals and nature. The park staff was informative and took the time to answer my questions as I am handicapped and.pointed out the animals. Very enjoyable.

Sandy McElhannon

It is amazing. Every aspect of the time we were there was amazing. The ladies and gentlemen you have working for you, knew what they were talking about, answered all questions. They were polite and helpfull and went out of their way to make us comfortable. My husband is a disabled Veteran, and all the people we had contact with said thank you for his service and if he needed anything all he had was to tell them. We are from a town close to San Antonio, Texas and I will let everyone know not to miss this. Thank you again. Sandy McElhannon, Kerrville. Texas.

David Hawkins

This was fun for the grandkids. There are caribou, mountain sheep and goats, elk, bison, geese and more. The ride through the park was informative and took about 45 minutes. We spent another hour walking and looking at the exhibits.

Richard Todd

Spent the day here - and it was a really nice day out. Seemed a little expensive for the overall experience and number of animals available to view. Great sized enclosures though, and a fun tram ride (free) through the estate. Would love to see the bus without windows - steamed up a bit toward the end of the ride which killed the viewing/photo ops. Food was nice and reasonably priced.

Rachel Losey

What a cool place. Beautiful setting just enhances all the cool animals you can see out here. The tram tour is excellent, the guide is knowledgeable and friendly. It's well-suited for young and old. Great variety of animals, large enclosures so you don't feel terrible as you wander through. We went on an overcast day in fall and saw every animal except for one. It's totally worth the drive!

LaShaunda Williams-Ryles

Nephews and nieces had a blast here! It was cool to see the different animals living on the property. They especially loved the park where they could run around. Will have to go back again and explore!

Robert Bryant

Awesome as always. Frequently visit and so much nicer open air feel than 'zoos'

Mitchell Evans

The Tram rose was incredible, so close to the animals. Similar to the experience I had in the San Diego Wildlife park. But had better views of the animals here!

Nycholas Brown

Not terribly large, but you get close up with some cool animals and great walking trails

Noah Lebowitz

cool place to go in visit. The tour was a lot of fun, although slow at times. It was neat to see the animals in their natural environment. It's only negative of this is you don't always get very close to them Definitely a fun way to spend today with the kids. Nice outdoor play area as well as you can walk around and see bears and various types of cats throughout the park

Luke Paulino

This place is awesome! My 4 year old daughter loved it!

Wayne Smith

Very good experience although rainey day had some animals hiding. Recommended!

Tim Weir

Amazing place - really unique Northwest experience - great combination of zoo like areas and mini safari to see Bison etc

Kat Sykes

We took the Keeper Tour with Amber this afternoon. What a great experience! She was knowledgeable, personable and fun. We got to see every kind of animal on the tour. Bison, elk, caribou, moose, and sheep. There were new bison babies too. Definitely a must do when coming to NW Trek.

Patty Price

I've always loved this place, great for the whole family. Go early in the morning so to see all the animals before it gets hot out. Bring a lunch and picnic on the lawn.

Al Lamont

The park was incredible. They had roaming staff duty that would answer questions about the exhibits and all were very friendly. Even more they had a vibe that they genuinely liked where they worked which made the experience all the more pleasant.

Kimberly Chiarolla

The forest atmosphere is awesome and having the wild animals there is perfection. Like being in the wild, but safe!

Christopher Dean

The tram ride is excellent. Narrators are knowledgeable and fun. Animals are healthy, well taken care of and usually visible.

The Anderson

The staff are very knowledgeable about the history of the property and the animals. Which I would rate 5 stars. The three star rating was the lack of animals.

Lily Collins

Always have a blast taking my kiddos to see the animals, the tram ride is nice and very informative. The cafe needs some work but everything else is very nice!

Lee Folino

Animal enclosures are lovely, natural and relaxing for the animals. Many hide/sleep during the day, though, so set your sights realistically. Bears and otters were very entertaining. Little kids crying on tram were annoying; it would have been nice to have a quiet tram car option.

Oscar Pag

Good lil zoo even though animals can and do hide every other exhibit. I have toddlers and my suggestion do animals then the playground because it's pretty fantastic@

Larina M

Enjoy coming here. We have deluxe household passes and go often. The tram is fun and we've seen wildlife Everytime

Mrs L. Petrescu

Only improvement really needed is Womens bathroom... Women's bathroom had only 1 handicapped stall which mothers with toddlers in strollers need to use also. There was a line of 7 people waiting for that One stall... that's disgraceful!!! I on the other hand needed the handicapped stall as intended and the other couple of stalls were so tiny I couldn't use it. Really enjoyed my visit to the wildlife preserve, had a good day.

Joshua Hines

Too expensive for a very minimal experience. The animals are tough to spot in most enclosures. Many times you don't see the animals at all. We actually joked that there's a good chance there are no animals in some exhibits and we're just standing there looking like idiots. It's too far out of the way and offers very little entertainment to be worth the price.

Kristy King

So family friendly, love seeing the natural exhibits, beautiful park.

Kerri York

This was our second time here and we loved it. The tram takes you out to see the free roaming animals - we didn’t see as many as we had the time before but the kids still loved seeing the animals. The children’s area is amazing - little ones might struggle with some of the older kids climbing areas. But our littlest one kept up!

Les Krout

Best tram ride ever. Bulls fighting, and all the animals were out it seemed. Want to see animals up close come to Northwest trek!!!

Corey Smith

Hands down best place to go. Always worth the money and always great to see all the animals.

stephanie lundsten

Staff very friendly. Super peaceful on a Thursday no crazy crowds, stroll along and enjoy. If you do the tram sit on the left side. U will thank me later!!!

Cait Crocker

A true gem of the Northwest. Plenty of animals to see & room to walk around. Events take place quite often and worth a visit no matter where you're from.

Karen Hatch

Northwest Trek is a wonderful park! Very much like the San Diego safari park. They take you via bus to see the animals in their natural setting, with habitat and space for them to roam freely. I really appreciate that they have only those animals that are native to the North American continent!

Andrea Radford

My family took a trip there today and it was AWESOME! The Animal Tour was EXCELLENT.. What a GREAT PARK!!!

Chad Dennis

Come early and skip the crowds! This is a unique place. Love the tram, wish you could go on more than once. The exhibits are decent . This is not a normal zoo. The grizzly cubs are hilarious!

Cheryl Hoyt

Lots of free parking. Coupons in Entertainment book defray the cost. Beautiful walk through the woods in decent sidewalk. Tram ride is fun and you never know what you will see. Cafe has dome reasonably priced items and ATM machine. Benches scattered throughout park for resting..friendly employees. Good for all ages.

Roxana Guzman

Great place to go with the family better than the zoo we get to see more animals than the zoo and less time.

Aleath Dreyer

It was cool and drizzly when we went. The animals were lively, whereas if it had been warm and sunny, they would probably have been lethargic. There weren't very many people either, so we didn't have lines. It was wonderful!

Michelle Hercules

Loved it more than the zoo! The tram was exciting and relaxing. We got to see the bear a lot. Kids loved their zone. Parking was confusing as it didn't seem alphabetical or numerical and we were trying to meet up with people. Typical zoo food...

Mrs.A'Ro

Great place to be in somewhat nature. Getting to see some of our wildlife. Nice trails to explore in the park . Next visit will try the zipline and look at the new Bald eagle area. Also lots and lots of shade so the animals are not in the heat all day so more likely to be out and about. Tram ride was fun and informational, also a nice quiet time to relax and take everything in. Not many bathrooms, long waits. Food area is ok, basic stuff. But not stroller or wheelchair friendly. Kids zone is awesome. Parking is easy and lots to choose from. Also shaded areas available to park in. Will be going back soon. I think they call it NW Trek. Because it's a Trek getting out there. Pack a lunch.

Joe Wolff

this place is awesome. we had a great time on the tram

Austin ___

Great wildlife park with a really cool tram tour. It's a lot of fun to walk around in as well. Lots of local wildlife to see!

Katie Ohagan

We had heaps of fun! The tram was educational and funny. We watched the otters for a good 30min. They seem so happy and playful! My son is still talking about the moose and buffalo we saw.

Janet Edwards

Great place to view animals in their natural habitat, very educational, good food, and an exceptional play area for children, big and small.

Amanda Richards

Great place to take kiddos. They have a couple animal exhibits and a great playground - but the star of NW Trek is the tram ride through the park. Upon paying for your entry ticket they will give you a time to arrive at the tram.

Michal Bartnik

Pretty cool animal wildlife area of native Pacific Northwest native animals. Price includes a tram tour around the refuge. Lots to see. A great way to spend a day.

Tim Willmoth

we were on the early morning trim and saw just about every animal that is at this sanctuary and it was a fantastic experience, we can't wait to go again.

Robert Otero

Definitely a decent place to see some wildlife. The cats were a bit shy, but still a great amount of wildlife to see. The tram was the highlight of the adventure and offered amazing photo ops. It is a bit pricy but did offer a military discount. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend.

Melisa Rice

Had a great time on the tram. Eli was awesome! One of the best I have encountered on the tram. It was cloudy but muggy. It brought a lot of the animals out. Eli explained a lot and drive at a nice pace. (I have had a few experiences where they went fast the whole time). But Eli was great!

Paul Martin

What a wonderful wildlife exhibit. The animals were cool, and the tram ride was not to be missed. Didn't sample the food because we brought our own. They have a neat kids playground area as well.

Anthony White

Went to NW Trek for the first time, should went sooner. Did the Keeper adventure tour while we were there, was awesome. Becky our guide did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the different animals we encountered while on the tour. Should have gotten the season pass, will definitely be going back.

James Ransfer

It was beautiful. The Elks were everywhere and the the Bison. You gotta ride the tram tour.

Julie Mounts

We weren't able to see all the animals (sleeping under bushes perhaps?) in their 'pens?' but the tram ride was very cool: informative and beautiful. It was a quick four hours and we really liked it! Very knowledgeable and nice staff. Clean.

Jessica Parnell-Smith

Between the train, the park, and the animals you can walk around and see there is so much to do. My kids always have a good time when we visit. I'm not sure what they are building but they had some construction going on when we were just there. We can't wait to see what the new addition will be.

Ellen Kitts

I wish there was a different way to do seating on the trams since all of the excitement was on the left side. The entire day was a great adventure for adults and children

Holly Rule

Fun to take little kids to for a field trip. Not a huge "zoo", but still enough animals to keep it interesting. The only other attractions are the bus tour and a playground with a man made stream to play in. We love going but don't feel it's worth the price for the year passes. That's just us though.

Carla Ruelas

I HIGHLY recommend the private jeep tour (Only 8 people). You get to see ALL the animals close up.

tony tyler

Not bad but all you can do is ride a train and hope to see something

Zach Cratty

Excellent!!! Wonderful day with the family and tired out the little one enough for a nap the whole way home and another 2 hours once we got home. We thoroughly enjoyed the Kids Trek area, spending the first hour of our day there. We followed shortly after with their general team ride... AMAZING. The animals and closeness yo them was awesome and my almost 2 year old was able to enjoy the whole ride without a fuss. Bring walking shoes, lots of walking and you get a little excited to see all the animals that you'll forget now bad your feet hurt. The cafe was good, pricing as you'd expect but excellent food to back up their prices. Overall, excellent day, easily spent 4+ hours enjoying the park and animals.

Tanner Taylor

It was ok. I like their purpose and support them. It's just a long drive from where we live, and the bang for the buck would be better spent at the woodland park zoo, at least right now with our kids being 3 and 6. We did the 1pm tram tour on a mild cloudy day, but didnt see many animals still. Glad we did it, but probably wont come back for a while. Would be fun to try the adventure tour on their modified jeeps though.

Erika Rowland

I took my class there for a field trip. We had a blast! All of the staff are very well educated on the animals surrounding them.

Ivy Clay

Love this place. So many great memories visiting here over the years. It's always a wonderful day @ Trek.

Asia Gartrell

Great place to spend the day and love you are supporting a wonderful animal habitat.

Edie Van

Easily navigated hard-top walking paths that take you right into the forrest to see the predator animals in their separate habitats. Great opportunities to see the prey animals in their wild habitat either by the free tram ride that stays on road only or the "Keeper Adventure tour" by jeep that gets you safely off road & right near to the animals for extra cost. Plenty of photo opportunities. A place to buy lunch or plenty of picnic tables to bring your own. The staff & animal keepers are friendly & knowledgeable. The website is easy to use and makes it possible to buy tickets online for entry & activities.

000 000

Love this place because it feels like you are in the natural habitat with the animals rather than at a zoo. And seeing the bears is really cool. Last time I went we rode the tram and saw some young buffalo chasing the hell out of each other and that was so wild to see. They are massive in person.

Alexander Galloway

The only downside was tons of bees around the picnic areas. Don't get pop if you are going to sit outside! Pop was more effective than the bee traps hanging near the tables.

Leesa Russell

Was so fun with daughter and grand daughter! Saw a lot of animals!

Jodi Gartman

This place is incredible! It is in the woods so you really feel like you're walking through the forest and just encountering the different animals along the way... We did not ride the tram, however, I am looking forward to going back again when we have more time do do so. All the staff we spoke to were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The price was reasonable as well.

Kevin Vaughan

A different adventure than your regular zoo. The park is incredibly scenic and had an awesome tram ride through the park's back area. The exterior hiking trail could use improvements in several areas and I would not recommend for anyone with mobility challenges.

Sean Yocum

Never been there before, even tho I'm a Puget Sound area lifer. Good for a day walk, tram ride was interesting, along with the founder's mission and history. I like their mission and goals. Great for a day trip with the family, kids will enjoy it.

Sue Eaton

It has been 25 years since I have been to this park and it is just as great now as it was then. NW animals in a natural setting, not cages as in a zoo. Nice play ground for the kids and lots of benches to rest for us old folk.

Ruth Moore

Northwest Trek is a fun place with a history of doing good things for local wildlife and the community. I highly recommend the tram; the landscape really is spectacular and you get to see big grazing animals up close!

Dovie Long

It great place to take family been visiting for over 20 years I love it

Sandra Ramirez

We had a lot of fun with our Grandchildren ❤️ they really enjoyed the playground!!!

Lydia F

Very nice, well done, focus is on the animals and their care. Good storytellers. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

Raven Ethereal

This zoo/nature preserve is absolutely delightful!! The tram tour was really nice, you get to see up close the herd animals roaming free in their natural habitat. The self guided paths have a variety of small forest creatures like raccoons and huge predators like cougars, bears and wolves. All their enclosures are roomy and full of natural life to make them at home. There's a picnic area that overlooks the free roam field with a view of mountains. There are also miles of nature paths for any length of stroll. All in all I totally recommend.

Shasta Christensen

We have been many times and close to our house. This time with the warm weather the animals were mostly hiding out and not visible. We took the grandparents from out of town, nice for them too. The tram as always yielded the most animal viewing

Steve Antoni

One of the best Parks in the Pacific northwest! Kids (all under 4) all had a blast and were dying to go back the next day. One of the best parts about the whole park was the train ride to see the animals out on the terrain. Despite the train was just as packed as the rail from Brooklyn to Manhattan it was definitely worth it! Highly recommend it to anyone with kids or looking for a fun time in the PNW!

Elizabeth Keith

Cougars, Bears and Caribou Oh My! The adorable barn owl is my favorite! The Tram ride is both entertaining and informative. Tip: Warmer day?... go earlbefore it's too hot. This will also increase the chances of seeing wildlife out in the open.

Paula Sharpe

This place is awesome and a must see ! If you go in the morning you get to see more animals. It's breakfast time and they are just getting up. Great for the whole family. They have food as well

Melinda Johnson

Great family day trip! There are a lot of animal exhibits where the animals are in a pretty natural habitat and relatively large spaces. It can make it difficult to see all of the animals- but more rewarding when you find them. Bring some water and good walking shoes. Takes a few hours to get through everything. Make sure to get a ticket for the tour - that's the best part!

Anne Louck

Great place to learn about the great Northwest animals, plants and our smallest animals, bugs. They encourage people to reuse, recycle, with water bottle filling stations and no lids for their cups for no added plastic waste. Other things to know, can't bring balloons. No pets or animals, keep them safe at home. Neo-toxins are poisons killing our bugs, make sure you know what you're using in your yard. :) Alternative bug killers are Lady bugs and Praying Mantis. If your house has lots if mosquitos, consider making a bat house and hanging it up high (10 feet or so) to eat those pesky bugs. Bats can also live in attics of houses, true story from my coworker in Tacoma!

Santosh Subudhi

Wonderful place. The animals are so carefully kept and the entire place is neatly maintained. Above all, the staff is so so friendly helpful and cooperative.

Gerry Meisner

First time visiting NW Trek. Our 2 year old grandson was visiting and this seemed like a good excursion for him. The weather was perfect, cool in the morning when we took the tram ride and warmer when we were just walking around. We saw all the hooved animals on the tram ride and he was very excited. Unfortunately he's still too young to really enjoy the Kids Trek area. We'll definitely return the next time we have visitors. It's really nice that they don't charge for parking which do many entertainment places do. A real plus.

Richard Webb

About an hour from Auburn where we live and it is great. Lots of trees and shade while you walk around and see the animals. Can't always see everything like at most zoos but still worth it. Also great for kids, our 3 and 6 year old love the playground, which is pretty big and offers a large space for kids to play and take a break from walking and seeing th exhibits.

Brandi Cole

Such a gem, I love the new play areas for kids they added since I last visited, their conservation efforts are great too!

L Diggity

Went here as a kid and now enjoy bringing my own kids. Always a fun time.

Nicole Winkle

Cool little place to experience wildlife and learn about the animals there. A little bit more interactive than at a zoo. Definitely take the tram ride during your visit. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate about the animals as well as the history of the place.

Patrick Quiton

Pretty cool place to go. The tram tour and zipline are really fun.

Jackie

Very relaxed wildlife reserve. We visited during the day over summer break and were surprised that there weren't more people also there. Best part: We saw caribou swimming through the water! Not so great parts: We didn't see any of the big cats, the raccoon enclosure is very obviously electric fences and they looked scared to be there, the eagle area was closed (reopening sometime this summer)

Tony B. Conscious

When I was a kid, I used to go there ALL the time for camps and other things. My mother kept me around different types of children and environments This place helped shape my lifestyle and how I sooo love animals to this day...

Pamela Wray

The tram ride was great. We saw a lot of animals and up close. It was hard to see a lot of the animals in the enclosures, as there was a lot of undergrowth and most of the animals hide in the back. The beaver and otter enclosure glass looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over a year and was difficult to see through the glass.

Kate Elling

Was amazing. Loved it , all the animals and open land. Just beautiful and great customer service

Vickie Anderson

We had a blast, beautiful day, the trails and tram were fun, lots of wildlife, beautiful scenery. I recommend 100%

Jenna Molner

We had an amazing time! My 4 & 3 year old were in heaven! They never complained about walking around and loved seeing all the animals. The bears were out playing in the water together, we saw every animal on the team tour. It overall was amazing!!!

Rebecca Rush

This place has grown in the past 20 years. Much bigger than I remember as a kid, which is saying something. Most places you revisit as an adult seem smaller. There used to only be owls and foxes when I was a child, now they have wolves and bears and lynx and river otters. The discovery center no longer has an active beehive, but it has many different engagement areas for kids. The play park is great! The tram ride has many more animal species and bigger herds. Bring food for a picnic, there are lots of tables to sit for lunch. Strollers are available for rent. Restrooms, water fountains, and trash/recycling cans are found throughout the park. Only improvements would be more exhibits, more space for captive animals, and less "closed" exhibits. Despite the price ($23 per adult), this is a great place to spend a spring/summer day with the fam in the south sound.

Ralph Seifert

Great day. Had a wonderful Keeper Adventure Tour. Get to see areas that the normal tours and trails don't cover. Got some great pictures. Well worth the extra money.

Jason Houle

Always a great place to visit. Take my daughter every year. This year she had a broken leg and they were really helpful about renting a wheelchair.

Shelly DeLeon

The best part for the children was the play area. The animals were usually visible; the food at the cafeteria was tasty and reasonably priced.

Nancy Trail

Always interesting and makes me feel like a kid again!

Nancy Livingston

Labor Day Monday! Clean! Great bus ride with informative driver/guide. Great waffle fries and hamburgers

Leah Klistoff

We had a great time here. There was a lot of "trekking" (walking) to do and the tram for the safari was fun. It was well organized and a decent ride time probably about 30-45 mins which is more than enough time spent for a 2 year old. We saw a lot of animals roaming. The exhibits were awesome and we saw a lot of animals. The felines were mostly hiding. The gift shop was pretty small, but cool. The food was okay, but overpriced. All in all, an awesome place to take the fam!

Dee Johnson

We came for my daughters kindergarten field trip. Such a fun experience she loved the train ride and of course the playground.

Kirk Kriskovich

A pleasant day can be spent here with the family. Nice staff and admission is fair for what you get. Recommend avoiding the snack bar, as I was unaware I could be charged $4.50 for a hot chocolate, when what I was handed was a Styrofoam cup, an unopened bag of Swiss Miss instant cocoa, and directions (in the form of a pointing finger) to the hot water dispenser. After leaving we had a nice lunch and some ice cream in the nearby town of Eatonville (where I had the BEST cup of coffee Ive ever had), so I recommend adding that to your itinerary.

Samantha Gretz

Caleb, our Tram guide, was so fun and knowledgeable! We got to see almost everything, except the wolves. It was however, a very hot day so was surprised to have seen as many animals as we did

Zach Crews

Great zoo option! It's much more relaxed than most zoos, completely accessible for wheelchairs/strollers, I loved how much shade their is in the summer (except for the kids area), and the kids area is super creative! The bus rides are the main attraction and definitely worth it around summertime especially when more animals are out.

Laura Kuhs

There is so much to do at this park! We love the trails and seeing the animals in a habitat that he more normal for them than a zoo is really nice. The tram ride is best for kids over 3 in my experience; younger kids get antsy before it's over. We always leave without having done "everything" because there's just so much to see.

Shellie Holst

We did the ropes course as an anniversary date. Very fun. I was a bit surprised that they just teach you how to clip on and off and then let you go it alone. We were the first in our group and it was nice to be able to go at our own pace vs waiting for a group of people. We did the mid level course and it was challenging but doable for us. We are early 30's and active but definitely not rock climbers or even really athletes. Word of warning though, if you want to do the first run off the day you have to pre-register. We got to the park early wanting to do the first run which starts before the park opens, but in order to purchase it you have to be in the park. So we had to wait for the park to open and then get the next one available. After doing the ropes course we did the rest of the park. It's a lot of fun to do the tram tour. was a bit hard to hear our tour guide at times. I'm not sure if that was just because we're in the front car and so we had the engine noise or if it doesn't have speakers in the front car because that's where the guide is. We could hear her fine when the engine was idling and we were going slower, but not when the engine was struggling to go up a hill or moving quickly.

Brian Crawford

What an awesome experience for the family. A nice comfortable little walk around the campus, viewing the bears, cougar, owls, and bald eagles all lead to a tram ride. We saw elk in rut fighting. We saw a moose soaking in the lake. Lots of Buffalo. Cool trip.

Carlie Flowers

This place is awesome and a super fun spot to take family or friends. The food is overpriced just like anywhere like this and they don't have straws or lids which imo is really annoying but I guess some people like that. At least give me the option to buy a cheap reusable straw. Other than that though we all had a blast

Bryan Foster

It’s a little pricey but there are offers available variously to reduce the costs. We had a deal where adults were free with paying child. The tram experience is great with many animals around and their playground is second-to-none. We really enjoy the otter area with the other small mammals. They are fun to watch. It’s a good distance out of town so plan for a long drive both ways but it’s worth it!

Robert Black

Nice place to visit. If you ride the bus sit on drivers side...more to see

Crystal Jensen

This is a nature preserve. There's a tram ride to go through the park and see the herbivorous wildlife. They also house a few predators for rehabilitation or because they cannot return to the wild. We keep a membership because it's too much to take in a single day. On top of the tram and caged animals, there is a nature inspired play area where your kiddo can test their animal skills. It's all so fun. Going at open is the best time to see the caged critters because they get fed and are lively. The tram is best after lunch just because of the length. The play area is a great place to kill time between. Enjoy.

Steve

It was an amazing trip! I had the chance to see animals one could not see in Maryland. It was enjoyable coming here, and sad when it was time to leave. The Kid's Trek is super helpful if you have a toddler who can't come with you. The snacks are decent, and they need a wider variety.

bryan waldron

All the animals were out! Great place to take the kids.

Joseph Shadwick

Went here when I was a kid, and just took my kids for the first time. Loved how they have keep the park amazing. In one three hour trip we got to see all but two animals being active in the park! We will be back!

Kristoffer White

Beautiful and relaxing. The staff is friendly and respectful. The animals look like they are loved and taken care of very well I cant wait to go again.

Margoan Hunter

Always enjoy seeing the wildlife and hearing their stories.

Loree Green

Went here for the first time on a field trip with my son's school. Wish we could have spent more time there. The tram was so neat! We'll definitely go there again and spend more time in the park.

Robert A

My family and I visited Northwest Trek whille on vacation. The kids loved it as did we, I love that they display and care for animals that naturally habitat the north west. Great place, also you have to ride the tram. You really get an up close and personal experience with the wild life.

Maina Gachugu

What a great way to see wildlife in a more natural way than visiting a traditional zoo! We'll worth the "trek"

Joy Clyde

Family fun and education. Definitely feels like home if your from the northwest. Had a great experience and the kids play area is incredible!

Nancy W

I really enjoyed my time at NW Trek Wildlife. I took the adventure obstacle course the yellow tag. Later took the keeper adventure tour ( jeep tour). The Jeep tour with Amber was most amazing, she is friendly, knowledgeable and and an awesome guide. We had off road moments and got to see more animals ( moose, elk, caribou, goats, bison, swan etc). With the tram you are disadvantaged coz you can't access some roads. I also took the trail to the enclosure for the bears, bobcat, crouger, wolves beavers etc. They have other activities which I believe area equally intriguing. I must say the place is well kept and user friendly. I highly recommend visiting NW Trek.

Jessica Nelson

My kids really enjoy going here and seeing the animals and riding the tram. They've made a really nice area for kids to run and play in too. It's always clean and employees are friendly. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is seeing animals is very hit or miss...like most zoos and wildlife parks. Sometimes you see lots of cool stuff and sometimes you don't see much.

Braindull Stand

So many awesome animals and birds to see, most seem happy unlike many other zoos I've been to. Great for the kiddos.

Elicia Schopfer

This is one of my favorite places to visit! The park is beautiful, well kept, and handicap friendly. If you eat at the restaurant the food has always been delicious for me. The 40-45 minute tram ride is always fun and different every time because the animals are roaming free so there is no saying where they'll be. This time around we had caribou, elk bucks and bison passing right by our window! However, at other times all the animals could only be seen from a distance, but the tram driver still made the ride fun with interesting stories and factoids about the animals and the park itself. There was some construction this time around too, but I don't feel that it interfered with the experience too much. We missed the snowy owls which is one of our favorites because they were redoing their habitat this time around, but there are so many other animals to see that we still had fun. The river otters were super playful so we and our two year old twins spent a lot of time watching them. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely park if you're looking for somewhere fun to take the family, or just a date, or whatever- just be prepared for a Lot of walking because it's huge!

Attended a wedding here, not only was it a beautiful nature park but the facilities are absolutely great as well!! The staff are dedicated to the safety of the animals, and we saw plenty of wildlife as we prepared for our big event!

Bob Williams

It was absolutely the best trip of the summer for my grand daughter. We saw lots and lots of animals on the tram and her world just expanded exponentially. Loved it

I would give this place more stars but I was unable to see any nature today. 9-27-19 at 2:45pm I came here to see some wildlife and the lady told us there’s way too many things going on that she cannot help us get tickets or anything they were even still open for another hour! She Was unable to provide basic customer service which includes hi how are you, I will be with you in a few minutes or something like that.

Beautiful Reserve, nice playground - food - walking/tram tours. Need reservations for some tours - 5 or more required.

Jessica

I can't believe this place isn't busier! We saw so many animals and the guided tour was great! We also did the zipline course (took about an hour and change to complete) and it was a blast.

Good and howl was awesome my 4 year old and 2 year old lived it and the employees and volunteers there were so helpful and informative that any questions we had were answered with a smile!! Keep it up you guys you all made my kids trip there a memorible one at that!!

I loved the trek wish there were more animals to see.. but over all good experience kinda pricey for 3 adults n one child was about 80 dollars..

Went while they had their Wolverine Carcass feeding and also got to tour where they make all of the animals diets. A lot of shade and walking, wonderful "hiking" feel through the great Northwest. Habitats are fairly large, so dont expect to see every critter in one visit.

I like this place it's way cool . I would love to go back there soon .

Jeremy England

Could definitely be a lot of fun. Overpriced and only saw 3 animals (badger, raccoon and otter). None of the bigger animals were visible. I don't think I'll ever go back for the prices they charge for no guarentee on seeing any animals.

This is a great place for kids. The children in our group enjoyed the tour ride, and all the animals. There was a wedding taking place in a remote part of the property when we were there. It could be a unique spot for such an event.

A great place to spend the day with the family. Engaging exhibits and kids love the play area so be prepared that your little ones will fight you when you are ready to leave. NW Trek is a better time than a zoo because it includes the pleasures of a nature walk. The parking lot was packed but the spaciousness of the park spreads out the visitors so you don't feel crowded or rushed at the animal exhibits. Pack a lunch and comfy shoes to have perfect day.

Great experience. Well worth the extra for the Keeper Tour.

Nice afternoon out with some old timers. Great fun and educational.

Loved this place!! There are things to do for all ages. The "tram" ride being included in the price of your ticket is awesome because it was fun and a nice break to sit back and listen to a little bit of history and info about the park and its residents. They really did their absolute best to make the animals as comfortable as possible and keep them in as close to a natural setting as they could. They work closely with conservancy organizations which is fantastic and they offer a variety of tours and activities that could cater to just about everyone. They are special needs inclusive with special bags and quiet places throughout the park available, as well as wheelchair/stroller accessible. VERY accommodating and sweet staff. The park was clean and had a natural flow and pace to it. Overall one of the better places I've visited in Washington.

Nearby home and a great way to spend a half day. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.

NW Trek is a lot of fun for people of all different age groups. I used to take my son there when he was young and have lots of great memories there.

Cheri Terlecki

Fun day, took my daughter and granddaughter. Nice to see animals in their natural habitat.

Natasha Botkin

Love the outdoor atmosphere. Very tasty food if you do not bring a picnic, and there's gluten free options. We enjoy the hoot and howl each Halloween. Looking forward to enjoying the zip lining.

Kristin Halverstadt

I always love the tram ride and seeing the big game out in a nature. But I wasn't too impressed with the animal space in the small enclosures. More trash lying in the animals space than in my past visits. That aside, the day we went, lots of animals were out and viewable. Tons of great sights on the tram ride. Even the saw baby bison!

Came out again today and NWT continued to be amazing for the entire family! The new kids play area they have added is spectacular and made me wish I could be a kid again - watching my nephew play was a real treat. The tram ride was excellent again as well and we were able to see a lot of animals. I look forward to visiting again soon to see the new eagle exhibit they were working on today. They also have done a lot of work to the cafe and have a great new outdoor seating area!

Casey Goodner

I love this place. They have so much to do. From the exhibits to the tram and everything in between. The playground is well maintained, especially considering how much use it gets. Restaurant is a bit overpriced but as long as you plan on that it's fine, food is good.

Mark Cheatom

Love the setting. It is a great wildlife park. The animals were amazing and well take care of.

Brandon Logsdon

We love coming here! We do wish there were tram tours where there was less commentary and jist more enjoying the animals but overall this place is so great. So worth it to but the season pass especially for families with kiddos or grandkiddos. The play area is a great place to stop and let them splash and climb and slide to there hearts content! The trails are nice and shaded to just escape for a nice walk as well.

Jason F

Family friendly, a lot to see that my kids loved. Great day trip for a family.

Niall Jones

The guided tram tour is AWESOME, the ranger was very knowledgeable and imparted that knowledge onto visitors readily. There are bears here too, they're great.

Julia P

What a beautiful and wonderful wildlife park! So much amazing information about local wildlife and the importance of conservation. The playground is incredible and allows the kids to really"try out" things they've learned about the animals' behavior. I've wanted to go since I was a kid, so what a treat to be able to take my kids. I will probably get a membership next year since it's a place I want to return to again and again.

This is a great place to spend quality time with my Family. This place is well kept, clean, and totally Awesome. The staff are very knowledgeable and are open to share with you, just ask. The food is very good, the Burgers are freshly made to order and the waffle fries are great tasting. The food was not greasy, and it was hot and good. The gift shop is plentiful and is well stocked your children will have a time. Shirts, hats, books, stickers, stuffed toys, candy.....whew!!! The animals are pretty AWESOME!!!! The trams are pretty cool, they are always running on schedule and never miss a beat. The drivers are polite, enthusiastic and friendly with all of the riders and visitors to this wonderful Wildlife park. Thanks Northwest Trek, Frank Flores and FAMILIA

Jamie Smith

We love the tram ride and the kids playground.

Athena Pelly

I love this place. On our most visit, they opened their new amazing bald eagle exhibit. We saw every species of animal that they had on exhibit. We learned some new facts on the tram ride. *Hint: Go early. Ride the tram as early (or as late) as you can. Bring your own lunch. From 11-3 visit the discovery center and playground or Zip Wild. Many of the animals sleep the afternoon heat away. The grizzly cubs were the only exception.

Patariku [ASN]

A fun day trip for the family. And there's a huge play area with climbing and slides and such. A great place for the littles to burn off some energy before the trip home.
