we go to the zoo about 6 times a year. it's a great place for my kids to run around and see the animals. as well not to loud sensory friendly. ( they accept the access 2 card) I have a child on the spectrum and he loves it. I suggest the weekdays . weekends are alittle busier. you can bring your lunch there are picnic tables outside the zoo. great afternoon usually spent.. we go around the zoo about 3 times.. before leaving.

Love coming here with young kids. Very easy to get around and see everything. Local and rescued animals only so don't expect to see giraffes and lions. They have presentations every hour or so do you can visit the animals in action. I love how they encourage that you bring your own food too! They have both covered and outdoor lunch areas equipped with microwaves, sinks and vending machines for snacks. My kids are 4 and 1.5 and they had a great time. You can see everything in abt 2 hours.

Nico Stormchild

Their mission is heart warming. It is fun to see all these amazing rescued animals. I make it a mission to visit at least once a year just to encourage them. A humble little zoo with a lot of heart.

Very nice place. They provide a safe environment for animals that were either born in human care or that are unable to survive in the wild on their own. The workers are very polite and welcoming. The kids had an amazing time and even got to touch a little harmless garden snake.

Some animals are not available in spring, summer must be the best period. It was fun to see the wolves howling. There is a picnic area with tables next to the parking

George Thomas

Interesting exhibits of native animals. Very friendly, informative staff took time to tell us about the animals in the zoo.

Natacha G. Filion

Maybe this review will be a little biased, since I love it so much I have a yearly membership but yes, always a relaxing outing. The advantage of a membership is that you may not get a chance to see all the animals on one visit but it always makes for a nice walk.

Arvinder Singh

Not much animals to see....Good for taking small kids as they get ample space to play

J.Sebastien Beland

My kids love it. We go twice each year

Bethany

Cute outdoors zoo went in the winter so some of the animals were hibernations so we weren’t able to see them, we went on a colder day so many of the smaller animals were taking shelter so we didn’t see all that much. They do out on little presentations but we didn’t watch them and there is a small reptile and insect museum downstairs which is pretty cool. They have a little cafeteria where you can bring your own food and eat but it was full. We went on a Saturday, around 11ish and there wasn’t a line and not an overwhelming amount of people there but when we were leaving at about 1ish there was a huge line up at the door All in all fun time! Will for sure go back in summer and see what they have to offer!

Michele Vinciguerra

Love this place. A Zoo in Montreal. Nice for at whole morning if not a full day. Decent facilities and just nice to walk around.

Michelle Marie Tucker

Great zoo... love that the environment for the animal are so natural. Well maintained, dedicated staff.

Doug Ermen

It's a very nice walk on shaded paths through a mixed forest. Lots of birds.

Camelia Hoaghia

Nice place to go where your kid can see, learn and discover a little more about Québec’s wildlife.

Marco D'Onofrio

Truly enjoyable place in the West Island to spend about a half day. Clean premises with plenty of parking and friendly staff. I'm not a supporter of exploiting animals in captivity for the purpose of human entertainment however give this zoo all respect due to fact that most are rescues or simply unable to live in their natural habitat due to some form of injury or trauma. Good signage with pertinent information in both English and French.

Aron Moskovits

Don't waste your time there.

Jake Ladson

Very clean park and a very friendly staff. We went here on a whim and I am really glad we did. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. The park is the perfect size for an afternoon activity.

I usually don't like zoos, but here all the animals are local, well treated and here because they were rescued, so it's cool. Plus it's well organised and the staff is very friendly.

Reem W. Mahmoud

I am surprised to see good reviews about this zoo. Not really sure what the one star is for. My biggest problem was accessibility. The doors are not automatic which is a hassle when you go with a stroller - interesting that most people there are with strollers. Second, no food, just vending machines which was disappointing. Third the greens are not well kept and quite dirty which makes it hard to spot the animals.

Paty Islas

The attention from the entrance was really good, but if you hope to see all the animals... This is not the time, since many areas are under construction or closed.

Todd Pronovost

Great for the whole family if you love animals.

Marco Torres

I never saw any animal but ooh well.my daugther had fun

Maria Thomaidis

It was fun for the kids - I would recommend going in the warmer months for two reasons: animals are not hibernating and pathways are not covered in ice. If you are bringing a stroller, you need one with big wheels or a wagon to get over the ice, snow and slush. Staff was friendly, it was clean and a well visited place for schools. A little expensive, even with the winter discounted prices, for the experience. The interior exhibit for reptiles and amphibians is downstairs, there is no visible elevator, so you will need to leave strollers upstairs. Parking is free - a plus in my books.

Larry Messick

It's a great place to spend an afternoon!!

Il Cuggino Canadese

Used to be more affordable. In fairness they made a lot of improvements in recent years so the value is there or at least in the ballpark.

Ken C

We held a birthday party there for our granddaughter, and everyone loved it. Helpful, welcoming staff, great facilities and a large party room made setting up a breeze. The party goers played inside, went outside and walked all around the animal enclosures. They all returned to the party room, where a naturalist enthralled them with a hands-on presentation on reptiles. Birthday cake and treats followed. It made for a perfect day.

Jose Quiroz

Pretty cool place even in winter. Kids will love it. Bring your own food, there's a large seating area but no restaurant. Keep in mind there are only local animals here. The wolf are pretty impressive. You may want to get a full year membership. Pretty cheap and the money is going to a good cause.

Gary Smith

I love this place. They try very hard to give the animals an interesting and lively environment. Great place to take the kids. Check the feeding schedule for best results. Enjoy

Fiona W

A nice place to visit for a couple of hours with the kids. I would have liked more of a personal touch with details of all the individual animals living there (names, DOBs, origin story). The wolves and coyote howling was so neat to witness. My kids fell in love with the 3 otters who were hamming it up for the visitors and who had by far the best and innovative habitat. Worth a visit but pricey ($51 for 1 adult, 1 senior, 2 kids).

Nico Stormchild

Their mission is heart warming. It is fun to see all these amazing rescued animals. I make it a mission to visit at least once a year just to encourage them. A humble little zoo with a lot of heart.

Robin de Bled

A beautiful and peaceful destination for kids and adults alike. Lots of animals in a lovely wooded setting, including wolves, caribou, porcupines, turtles and snakes. All native to Canada. The walking path is generally stroller and wheelchair friendly. But bring water and make sure kids use the bathrooms at the entrance because there are no facilities for either past the entrance, at least none that I could find.

Jim Palkhivala

It was very fun. I really enjoyed it! Me and my daughter had lots of fun looking at the black bear in the water! My daughter was very annoying but all kids are annoying. Overall we had a great experience and it wasn't too hot.

Dustin & Holly Symington

Very nice to go with children. Animals were very active!

Hakim Rassiwala

Excellent place to end a trip to Montreal!!

jinyi lee

Very small place. You are done in 1 to 2 hours. Almost missed the cool aquarium section downstairs.

Koala MeatPie

Great place to take your niece and nephews

Jason Elias

Nicely designed small zoo, well laid out. On a busy day it seems almost too small to accommodate large crowds. Other than that it was a pleasant surprise.

Night Mahar

Enclosures were lush and large. Animals all appeared healthy and well kept. Would go again.

Maryanne Bellomo

We love going to the Ecomuseum Zoo. The kids (ages 2, 6 and 8) always have a great time seeing the animals when we go. The bears and wolves are their favorite. Make sure to bring a picnic as they don't sell food on site (except for vending machines and ice cream).

Alex Legault

All and all a good place for an hour. Was too short and the animals don't have much room to move around.

Patrick Bergeron

Great experience for a first time visit. Very nice site and awesome choice of wildlife Will be going back.

Sheldon Lancaster

Loved the experience! Very clean and the animals looked happy and very healthy! My fiancee and I loved seeing the wolves playing with each other!

Kudret Erdem

I won't go there once again. Affordable prices but not worth it.

Isak Kasuto

Always a great experience! They take good care of the animals!

David Baumann

Nice place for kids. Much more humane than a regular Zoo

Rashedul Islam

Samll but kids love to be here

Anamika Usman

Animals are rescued and treated very well. Was very educational, would visit again.

Eric D.

What an amazing place! Great variety of local fauna. Everyone who likes animals must visit the Ecomuseum. Staff is extremely dedicated which makes for a unique educational experience!

Sean Devine

I've been visiting Ecomuseum for years and every experience has been great. Be sure to try visiting in different seasons, winter is awesome!

Anaïs Gingras

Nice place to visit. Would recommand going when it's not too hot outside so you can see more animals.

Naomi Chemtob

This is a great place for a birthday party. We had a large enclosed room with a fridge, microwave, tables and benches. Use of the room is from 09:00-12:00, and you can then stay on the grounds until 5 p.m. The grounds very large and being enlarged again. There is a large variety of birds and other animals. I really thought that the otters are very energetic and fun to watch. A great day trip for people of all ages. Remember to ask for a map, it is needed.

Tarek Harb

A well located Zoo in Montreal. The kids had fun and enjoyed their time

Fares Belkhiria

A bit too small for a Zoo (more like a research centre). It is very clean and well maintained. The staff are SUPER friendly and are always around to answer questions. An audio guide addition could have been value adding.

Noor Aldeen Y. Alfahd

It is a good place to visit, but there is not much animals to see. Although, it is an awesome nature view and has a picnic area.

marque1313

Reasonably priced entry. Staff was courteous and all of the animals seemed happy. Coming from the US it was refreshing to see animals in their (semi) natural environment. There was not a fake rock or tree to be seen.

Alina M

Had a great visit here, all local animals, but still cool. Animals looked happy staff was friendly

Chris Webb

Great for families, kids and grown ups alike. You can see animals which are native to Quebec and Canada in very natural habitats. They are constantly spending money to improve the facilities for their animals.

Bruno Habasque

Avoid visiting in Summer. They let the vegetation grows as to recreate a "natural environment ", the result is that most animals are invisible.

Anuj

Fun place to take the kids, the otters are great!

Leona kiley

Good enclosures for the animals. Great walking trails that are clearly marked.

Antony Snow

The zoo is filled with native animals to go back and provides a rescue and refuge for these animals.

Demy

It's a nice place for children and adults. It would be nice if they had more animals.

Naomi Chemtob

Stewart Rippersfelt

Fantastic place. I feared the strictly Canadian fauna would be somewhat tame but not at all. My two year old loved it as well as all the animals. Turtles, porcupine and raccoons were all fascinating to him. Also the big ticket animals all made appearances after the worst of the daytime heat had dissipated. Nice park inside as well but not much in the way of healthy snacks. Bring your own.

Allie T

I love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it never disappoints. I love knowing that there are people out there looking out for animals all shapes and sizes and it's a bonus that we can walk around their lovely grounds and see them! You can easily spend an hour or two walking around and seeing everything and kids love running around. They can get a little disruptive, but the area is big enough that you can walk away from them and find quieter enclosures.

Fetahi Wuhib

I didn't personally visit. But my son was happy about the birthday party he was invited to. The place is a bit messy due to the ongoing construction/expansion.

D C

Don't miss seeing the native species of Quebec!

Haci Sert

Nicecand relaxing place same time

Robert Telfer

I’ve always loved the Ecomuseum, my mum would take my sister and I there fairly regularly as kids and when I went back after a few years I loved it just as much as I did when I was a kid, great way to spend an afternoon

M P

I thought it was a bit pricy at first but it's well worth it. Wonderful place to take your kids.

Serjik Sayad

Came here with the girlfriend and her kids, it was educational, fun, a great experience to be so close to wild animals we rarely get a chance to see from so close. The price is in line with other museums, you do see where the money is going, every enclosure seams to be well built, the animals seam rather well fed and not stressed in the least bit. There's park areas for the kids to spend some extra energy to boot :)

Fred Hernandez

Great concept, needs a little work but I wished other cities would adopt this approached to zoo's. Definitely worth your time. I wish they had more animal with their background stories available. From all the animals we only saw 3 with the reason why they were on the ecomuseum.

Jessi Dickey

Everything was amazing. We were just very disappointed that we could barley see the wolves becausenit was barricaded.

L G

I used to go all the time as a kid, and today I visited for the first time in about 10 years. It did not disappoint!! The entrance fee might seem a bit stiff, but once you get outside you'll be blown away. It is just such an amazing adventure for kids and adults. It is so natural and so well maintained. There is a massive aviary for ducks, herons, and other beautiful birds that you can walk through and watch them fly around. There is a huge other enclosure with a glass wall where you can watch them swim. There are all kinds of animals and birds, amphibians, fish, and reptiles that are native to Canada. Information posts at each enclosure that are easy to read and really informative. You can just take a peaceful walk through beautiful woods and across ponds and streams, or you can go downstairs to watch the turtles and frogs. I love the Ecomuseum.

Cotruta Liubomir

Very good place for a couple hours outdoor experience with family . Also they have guided infossesions.

Roger

New, WIFI for whole zoo. Still only one washroom for whole place. Still bummed about the natural bones, skeletons, skulls, whale gills, teeth, horns and skins they removed. Only to put up a useless monstrosity of nitch with factoids of animals. New this year they closed off a large section of trail boardwalk. The whole section of hawks and owls. Which is now a dead end at the eagles. Was not fun to find out while sprinting to reach washrooms at entrance. We had a great day. Other times day camps were also there on family day, which was extremely tight. Both for parking, and cafeteria/lunch hall.

Jessica

Loved it! Spotting the animals through the foliage is falways fun, no matter how old you are. I wish some of the animals had larger habitats, but otherwise they seem well taken care of. The little map handout wasn't entirely accurate, but it helped.

Shelley-Anne Davis

First time there has a great time but its still cold so animals were hiding Need to come back another day in summer to enjoy the zoo

Nelson Coronado

It's ok for the kids, there are a few hurt animals that were rescued from the wildlife. I totally support this place for that reason. Now it's a small zoo with not too many species. But I guarantee you that you will learn something new about them with their informative descriptive signs. However If you are out of town or are here for a visit I'm not that sure that the detour, time and money invested will be worth it. But if you are a local and have nothing to do on a Sunday with your kids, this place is a fit. Also you can organize birthday parties so that's definitely a plus.

Mell Jackson

I love going. I could go everyday and spend all day ❤❤❤❤❤

Celine Ho

Fun easter hunt for kids and nice walk to see animals! Stories about how these animals were saved are interesting too!

Rudi Erlemann

The idea behind the Ecomuseum is the education of local kids about the local wild life. If my memory didn’t fail me, the Ecomuseum is home to 115 different species of animal native to the Saint Lawrence Valley in southwestern Quebec. The presentation is very kid-friendly and the staff is nice as well. I had the great pleasure to stay overnight with the daycare of our little daughter. This allows to see animals also at night - similar to some humans many other species prefer being active at night as well :-) The zoo is deeply entrenched in the social fabric of Montreal - many people volunteer here.

Fallen Princes

Okay little zoo. Really hot day so most of the animals were sleeping. Highly recommend bringing your food and drink as the selection is limited at best (vending machines). Also be warned lots of long grass so you maybe searching for animals alot. Also not the cleanest of spaces. Highlight was black bears.

Thomas Trudel

Great little place to visit the Canadian local wildlife. Don’t forget to visit the aquariums downstairs! I love that it’s a home for animal rehabilitation. Great job.

Sophie Hussenet

We truly loved the place! We went early in the morning during the summer to make sure we will be able to see animals. We spent a good 30 mins asking questions to one of the head being outside that day and this guy really knew what he was talking about. All people were pleased to share with us their knowledge and are very kids friendly.

Caroline Dufour

Ok to visit, but since you handle native wildlife, why can you not take in wild animals in distress? Aren't you supposed to do rehabilitation?

Frederic B.

Good mix of animals, nice walking paths, the kids really enjoy it

Duc Luu Minh

Although small it's still good enough for kids

Rodrigo Grijó

Amazing place. Visitors must bring their own food, because there are no place nearby to eat.

Matt Coolen

Great little zoo for the kids to run around for a bit. No food here and cash only for ice cream. Great enclosure for the animals. Well done.

Isai Escobar

Great fun. Lots of animals. Fun shows. Courteous staff.

Damaris Velez

A lot of construction going on... Not able to see all the animals. Not worth the cost, spent less than an hour there.

Richard Bourque

Great to visit with kids. On the expensive side.

Emilie Grenier

Perfect size and diversity, very interesting. Clean, well organized, the price is correct. Was there with a 3.5 years old and 1 year old. Took one star off because there is no food.

momo whitmann

Great place for the kids to see canadian animals. Great staff. 4stars because the map is weird and it was under construction. But the animals have a good life there, not miserable

Claudette

Kids had fun. Small zoo but decent for the price. Good customer service.

Cindy Parlett

We are from out of town. Didn't really see anything we don't already see in our back yards. Eagle, otter and bears were cool. Picnic area available but you need to bring in your own food, which is difficult when staying in a hotel. We rode out on the bus and didnt realize they don't stop at the bus stops unless you tell them so we had to ride thru the next stops and circle back around.

Mathew C

Nice little Zoo if you have a couple of hours to spare on a beautiful day

Scott Brewer

Even though everything was covered by a foot (30cm) of snow... it was great seeing animals like Caribou, Lynx, Arctic Fox, Grey Wolves....

Chip Diamond

Amazing sanctuary for rescued animals

Russell Lloyd

A nice little zoo with great looking animals. Our family had a wonderful time wandering through and exploring. It has a lot of really great, creative, and well thought out habitats and lookout points. Looking forward to going back again.

Rachel Elizabeth

there are otters. do i need to say anything more to convince you that this place is great? no i dont. because otters.

Benjamin Dabbaghian

It is cheap and fun, I suggest you go with your family

Katie Kish

Great way to spend half the day. Lots of animals that you get very close to. We saw almost all the animals, only a few were hiding. My 2.5 year old had a blast. We'll definitely be going back soon.

Brian McCavour

Fun for the kids. Bring some good mud boots in spring or fall. Only takes about 2 hours to go through everything

DeadAngel25

Love the place ever since I was a kid. We use to go every month. I recently when back and I love the renovation.

Justin Savoie

We saw 5 of the 10ish animals that were actually active.

Niall Comerford

Always love going here, as a kid and adult, great to see all the animals in their natural habitats, especially since they're well taken care of and generally are unable to make it back in the wild for a multitude of reasons. Staff is always super friendly, everyone is very knowledgeable, and it's always good for people young and old to learn something new about all the animals we have in our gorgeous province.

Sabrina Paolini

Really sounds like they are giving these animals a second chance at life. Very nice place with very big areas for the animals to live.. not my first choice as I would want them to be free but these little guys were hurt or orphaned so happy we have this place.

Andrey Arakelov

Very Nice Place to go with Kids

Andrew

Wonderful place to bring your kids (you can also rent a room for birthday parties). They are always changing and updating, so it's worth it to keep going back (let alone supporting them!)

HTGPlayz

Honestly, this place is super fun and perfect for families. What's great about it as well is that the animals are always active, so if you were to go once a week it would always be different.

Roman Čampula

Nice zoo. I have been there in November and I think it must be much more better in a summer. Although the cold weather there were nice animals.

Annie Zee

Lots of space to move around and plenty of places to sit and rest.

Omar Gardner

Not the best zoo I have ever been to .. I'm pretty disappointed. There werent many animals here. The highlight would be the otter but even that wasn't the best. The glass wasn't very clean, so I wasn't able to see the animal very well. I was just expecting more. But at least they have a small park where my children could play. That's about it . Staff was friendly but I think that there's a ton of room for improvement.

Wojciech Sawicki

An absolutely lovely zoo displaying a variety of local fauna, many of which are rescues. I simply can't give them enough praise for the fantastic work they do. The zoo has remodeled and expanded beautifully since my last visit. Well worth a visit every time.

Greg Domagala

Very nice zoo depicting and presenting the animals of Quebec. Small so easy to visit without being exhausted. Very kid friendly. No restaurant on site but you can bring your own food and drinks. They also have excellent day camps for kids and you can organize a birthday party for good price.

Kim Martin

AWESOME place! I love animals and seeing them there and reading their stories is a great way to get closer to them in a safe environment (for them and us) Cant wait to go back :) Thank you for the amazing work you do with the animals!

Oluwaseyi Adeboye

Amazing, refreshing, green, just name. I love it.

Stefan Hajny

Very nice park to discover the Canadian wildlife, which additionally operates as a shelter for abused or orphaned animals. Just a note for the animal caretakers: parents should be forced to keep their children on a 'leash' since their uncontrolled running around and screaming scares the animals and annoys other visitors.

Soumava Das

Good place for kids see Quebec wildlife on close quarters

Becky Thomas

Interesting and animals are well taken care of!!!

Christina MacDonald

As always a great day with my grandson. This is one of the best places to spend time with kids outside in the Montreal area.

Franck BILI

Good place to see Québec animals

Donna Vann

Great time! Picnic areas and washrooms are clean. So many animals to see and enjoy. Hope the restricted areas will open up soon.

Tina Patafie

Love this little gem in the west island. A must-see for anyone who enjoys nature

Kevin Broadley

Very nice facilities, animals are well treated and not too expensive. A great place for the family.

Joe Baron

Our son loves it. None of the guilt that comes with bigger zoos. It can get crazy busy at times. Best to go on a cold gray day.

Tim W

Awesome zoo! Had my kids birthday party here

Paul Seiler

Nice place to spend some time with the family and in the West Island, the price runs a family of four to about 60 so it’s a little hefty for the amount of animals available but it helps in their care and feeding

Simon Charbonneau

Great place to bring the kids! And not that pricey!

Pablo Calamera

Lovely rescue/zoo with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Bring your lunch!

Isabelle Cayen

Small but great! There weren’t many animals to look at but it’s a fun activity to do with the family especially for younger children. The zoo is filled with native animals to go back and provides a rescue and refuge for these animals.

eric Gervais

Small but love the layout

Russell Lloyd

A nice little zoo with great looking animals. Our family had a wonderful time wandering through and exploring. It has a lot of really great, creative, and well thought out habitats and lookout points. Looking forward to going back again.

Jabason Stanley

Nice place to visit with kids. They have indoor reptile and fish museum. Outdoor they have fox, wolf, caribu, big raven, snow cat, porcupine, bear, vulture, owl, oyster, etc. However in winter some animals will be sleeping so we could not see them.

Bridget Farret

Great place to visit with children. We arrived just after lunch so a lot of the mammals were having a nap. The birds and reptiles were awesome and the otters did not disappoint. An awesome way to spend a few hours on a nice day.

melissa samuel

.Ecomuseum sustains animal life for creatures who are unable to live on their own in the wild! A fun inexpensive activity to do with the family and an opportunity to learn about Wildlife

Shane Steszyn

This is the best place ever! Rain or shine, I love going! The walk ways are tidy and the animals seem happy and well cared for. The enclosures for the animals are fairly sized plus they're always adding improvements to ensure the comfort of the animals! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the animals they care for. Well worth a year membership if you visit over three times a year!

Jaypetto21 .

Cheap prices, great cause and cute animals! Definitely something you should visit if you like animals. They also have really nice things in the souvenir shop. I will be going back again for sure.

Patrick Amgar

Loved it. The enclosures are getting so nice and spacious. Leaps and bounds above where it was 20 years ago. I love coming here.

Yildirim Yigitoglu

As a family we don’t normally go to zoo as the idea of putting animal in a cage for the sake of human entertainment it is apparently wrong for us. However we visit a sanctuary where we go as a family due to supporting a kind of organizations. We have been to many sanctuaries around world and I suggest these people to visit Australia specially Tasmania and learn the real idea of sanctuary, as they advertise here ecomusem so called “sanctuary” and this is nothing to do with that. It is a normal zoo!! I felt really sorry for the animals here, they seems like under drug as they are all sleeping and there in a small cages. This experience has hurt me a lot.

Kat Ladson

Came here a little over a month ago with my friends and I loved it! The coolest part is all of the animals are rescues and are local to the area! There are daily events including animal feedings, which are in both English and French. It was really cool to be able to see the animals up close and learn more about them.

Karen Zadorozny

They've really updated the place and it's very family friendly.

Deana C

Had an amazing day. Very informative and helpful staff.

Pascale Al Khawaja

A nice place but we were disappointed by the fact that we couldn't see most of the animals. The setup makes it really easy for them to hide in a corner where you won't be able to see them clearly or at all.

Gwendal Le Pape

Little zoo with local animals. Perfect for kids

Brian Hoff

What a fun visit. My family and I spent about 4 hours slowly making our way around the park and had an absolute blast. The full variety of animals that Quebec has to offer are all on display and it's worth noting that they're all rescues or rehabs in the park. It was a rainy fall day so many of the animals were a little more docile than usual (lynxes, fisher and bear were all sleeping and the otters sadly were huddling under a rock). Highlights for sure were the arctic foxes, ravens, albino snapping turtle!, wolves and racoons. I'll be sure to stop back in here again sometime and help support them because it is one of the most clean, accessible and interesting 'zoo/nature preserve' type places I've visited.

Shane Steszyn

This is the best place ever! Rain or shine, I love going! The walk ways are tidy and the animals seem happy and well cared for. Kati Becker

Super nice Zoo with a lot of things to see and to do especially for kids. We really enjoyed the day. We will come back for sure!

Me on YouTube

Limited collections, nice to be on the island of Montreal. Maybe because I have always been to big zoo like new York and Toronto this seems to be really small. There are some local animals so good for kids to run around. Would be nice to have a petting section with little goats

Carlos Mauricio

Love the effort to help local animals in need while allowing us to see them and get to know how they live and their needs

nelson j

Beautiful place for the kids and close by!

Great fun for the kids in a natural enviroment.

Seems cool but would have been appreciated if they told us beforehand 40% of their animals were in hibernation. At least a sign at the door, any warning really. Staff was friendly enough.

Erik Lavallee

Animals were ecstatic and well taken care of. The zoo is filled with rescued animals and because of this, I will definitely be going back to support them.

Nice zoo. There were many offsprings when we went which was very pleasant to watch. The animals appear to be well treated. Not very expensive; a relaxing and affordable place to spend time with your family if you have young children. Highly recommended.

The otters were the best part of the day, I’m a super big animal activist and I’ve never been here, so I wanted to check out the animal sanctuaries but all I could do was feel bad. The birds don’t have much room to fly, the animals are all guarded by an electric fence and a lot of the animals look sick and malnourished. The otters were super friendly and amazing, much more sociable than I thought, I understand how this place could be a good learning ground for kids to observe and read about animals and their habitat but I still feel pretty guilty. 3/5

Great place to go with kids. We loved the different animals, the signs are very helpful and instructive (please check the one in the raccoons' habitat, is great!). The kids loved the reptile section, there is a white turtle there that my daughter will never forget.

I love that the animals they have are being well cared for as they would not survive in the wild. Staff very friendly. A great time for the whole family, in any season!

Best kept secret in the west island. Our own zoo filled with indigenous species found in Canada. Great for the whole family bring good walking shoes you can even have a picnic. Good for kids of all ages 5 to 90 years.

A very nice place to bring family all year round .

Lots of beautiful animals we rarely ever have a chance see. Going in the winter is great

Tracy Chou

A cute zoo close to the city. Nice place to take kids there for a day trip without the headache of driving too long. The cafeteria is very convenient with fridge and microwave for a quick lunch.

Cheap prices, great cause and cute animals! Definitely something you should visit if you like animals. They also have really nice things in the souvenir shop. I will be going back again for sure.

Albert G

Amazing place to take kids especially in the summer when all the animals are out of hibernation. All the animals are rescues and are being cared for very well by the staff.

Jane Mtlteadrinker

A great place to take children for a walk and fresh air! Stroller friendly. Not too long and tiring for little ones and so much to see! The playful fishers, the dancing barn owl, the lynx which are so like our housecat in the way they move but way bigger, the adorable otters, the turkeys that gobble at you at the fence... Open every day except Christmas.

A great zoo, a wide variety of animals that you can easily see without any obstructions.

Patrick Amgar

Loved it. The enclosures are getting so nice and spacious. Leaps and bounds above where it was 20 years ago. I love coming here.

Christine

I haven't been in a few years. I was impressed with the improvements. Definitely worth a visit.
