REVIEWS OF Tracy Aviary IN Utah

Laura Weis

It is so much fun to walk around and see all of the different species of birds. Many have such unusual calls while others have beautiful songs. The plumage on some look like costumes and are gorgeous.

Stephanie McCabe

They've really done a lot. There a bunch of new exhibits and a really cool play area. The kids had a lot of fun.

Tristi Snyder

I was really impressed with this place. I spent hours there! Very cool birds and tons of fun things to do.

Josephine Salazar

Great little Bird Park. Songbirds to Raptors, waterfowl to night life, across the globe all in one place. Take 30 minutes or 2 hours, depending upon the time you have.

Brandi Thompson

The Tracy Aviary is a great little bird sanctuary nestled in Liberty Park. Entrance is affordable and events are fun. It's all outdoors so make sure you dress for the weather!

Amy Schaber

Beautifully maintained. Lovely birds and such a variety. Lots of activities, the only thing it wasn't super clear up front that there is fee in addition to the price of admission to participate in some (feeding the pelicans for example).

Jared Eavenson

Super nice. They have really finished this place nice. Great place for people of all ages. We had people of the following ages: 3, 9, 11, 38, 39, 76, 79. Great fun for all.

Yelena B

A cool thing to do with the whole family. Go in the morning to avoid the heat in the summer!

Brittany Baggott

Such a fun place to go. Very quiet, very reasonably priced and a great cafe.

Chris Geisler

Tracy Aviary is a true gem in the heart of Salt Lake City. Boasting some 400 birds from over 140 different species, the Aviary is a zoo like no other. The Aviary staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to spread their love of birds to children young and old. Located inside Liberty Park, there is plenty of parking available.

Andy Ping

I loved Tracy Aviary. If you enjoy birds, this facility is for you. They have a large and varied group of avians. The owl forest sports several species, and there's a hawk as well. Many of the birds are from Africa, including some species I didn't know existed despite growing up watching nature shows. There's decent shade near most of the habitats and clean bathrooms. It's a great place to visit.

David Nuffer

Vultures, flamingos, and owls oh my! This is a fantastic place to see some cool animals. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Nice gift shop. Beautiful area as well, right inside Liberty Park. Great place for families, a field trip, date night, they even host events like weddings or parties.

Sara McClure

The birds and grounds are gorgeous and we loved the educational information

Shakira Zavala

I went on a field trip with my son today and had a fun time there! The show was really cool and interactive. Tracy Aviary had changed so much, in a good way!

Allen Miller

The staff here is second to none. Always super helpful and always willing to answer any questions I might have. My wife and I enjoy seeing the different birds and learning about conservation.

Laura Weis

It is so much fun to walk around and see all of the different species of birds. Many have such unusual calls while others have beautiful songs. The plumage on some look like costumes and are gorgeous.

Laci B

A membership is inexpensive, you get to experience some birds up close. They have lots of activities and learning opportunities. It's relaxing if you just want to go hang out and watch the pelicans in the pond, or sit with the owls in the shade.

Ingrid Blankevoort

Great experience at the Tracy Aviary. A lot of birds to see. Membership is totally worth it. In spring (June and July) there are lots of baby birds/ducklings and it's so fun to watch them grow from one week to another. The new Kea exhibit (New Zealand Parrots) is very entertaining too.

Traci Bird

Great place to spend a few hours. Lots of variety of birds to see!

Elaine Sample

Nice to see a place a place for bird's sanctuary and a great place to take a family there and a cute gift shop.

Abbi Hunt

This was a great place to spend an afternoon. It's pretty relaxed. The exhibits/ enclosures were interesting and engaging. They have a bird show at certain times of the day. It was fun to see birds from all over the place. There are plenty of shady spots and even a few places with picnic tables. I would definitely go again. It's a little pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

David Hawley

Great place, a hidden gem in the city. Never knew it was there. Lots of birds to see, food sold is OK, much packed into a moderate sized place. Will go again.

Wendy Davis

Haven't been in along time but enjoyed it very much

Shera Bright

This place is complete tranquility. I love it!! Very beautiful and the birds are all very well taken care of. Some Roam freely on the property. The peacocks are my favorite ❤️. I highly recommend Tracy Aviary

christian luciani

Absolutely incredible. It's amazing to have something of this quality in our own backyard. It felt more like something I'd see in LA or another big city.

Dan Keshet

Terrific fun! You can get so close to the birds. The live shows don't cost anything extra and get you right up close to the birds. It's like having a miniature zoo in your backyard!

Lucas Opens Packs

It was a great way to spend time with the family. Make sure to plan to see a show. You get interactive experience with the birds. It was decently priced. There was a lot of dofferent animals. You could feed ducks. Animals would casually stroll outside and not be scared of you.

Dwain Holmes

A fun place to spend a few hours and take the kids they'll enjoy it

Kimberly Goebel

Tall shady trees make it a good option on a hot day. I love the location and the different exhibits. My only complaint is the price.

Sara

Wonderful experience with my daughter. The only complaint I have is the Cafe food was horrible. So eat before you go

Bobbi Heyborne

After paying $43 dollar and spending 2 hours looking around, I bet we didn't see even half. There are a couple places to feed ducks aside from just the start but only ONE food machine. I suggest bringing a baggie and filling it up so you can feed other ducks as you go through. They are very excited for food but the babies aren't a ton interested. A great deal of time was taken at the cafe waiting for a small pizza (smaller than pita bread) and drinks. I appreciate freshness but it was a little much. We lost track of time walking around and an employee spotted us a little after 5 and stated if we weren't with the wedding party, we needed to go and they were closed to the public at 5. I'm furious. This wouldn't have happened at the zoo or aquarium. They'd have let us finish. Fact of the matter is, if it was open to the wedding party guests, what would we have bothered? I'll never go back to finish seeing what we didn't see. If you go, although it states on the door that last entry is at 4, it is NOT worth your time to go in if they hard close at 5. I've wanted to come here for a long time and I'm INCREDIBLY disappointed. Although we saw some great birds, it's overshadowed by being told to leave and our great time coming to a VERY abrupt end.

Martha Sewell

Beautiful Aviary! From Andy the Condor, parrots, and other exotics to native owls, ducks, geese this is a must see destination at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Our party was 8 months to 69 years, each one had a great time! And we all are at the outdoor cafe. Delicious and the prices were reasonable, too. Can't wait to come visit again.

JONATHAN BRIDGES

Really cool! Our family loved it! Fall is a great time to visit.

Richard Maxfield

It's getting more kid friendly. It used to be kind of boring for kids with not much to do but look at birds. But they have a sand pit now and a slide and a hanging nest thing. I think it's a place to go maybe once a year. It's only worth it though if you go during the 5 after 5 deal. Five bucks to go in to the park on Mondays after 5 pm. Otherwise it just costs too much for what you get. If they added more items for kids to play on then it might be a better value otherwise. Would be a good date I guess if you want something different. You do get up really close to quiet a few of the birds. So bring a camera.

Jessica Newsome

My nephew absolutely loved seeing all the birds! Great for kids of all ages

matt elggren

The Tracy Aviary is a must see attraction in Salt Lake City. Very fun for kids. An educational and fun place to learn about the birds of the world. If you or your kids are bird lovers you have to go to this place! Open year round in well know Liberty park . Bring good walking shoes. Have quarters to purchase duck food.

Sandrine Hoolic

A lovely place with amazing birds. You can see they really care about them.

Karen Bleazard

The birds are beautiful, the plants on the grounds are equally lovely and if you are looking for a peaceful, interesting way to spend the day, this place should be on the top of your list!

Aimee Potts

I haven't been here for 20 years, and it looks so good! They've really fixed the place up! We had a great time! The food at the little cafe is yummy and actually healthy, as well as decently priced.

Curt Williams

Had a great time! The staff was amazing, Park was clean, fun, and easy to navigate. Loved the individual sections featuring different species. Plus, got to see baby flamingos!

Hana K.

What a surprise! We had an absolutely great visit! There was a ton to see. My friends and I visited as a short visit before our flight. We we're able to see most of it in a couple of hours. Definitely suggest visiting!

Luis Sosa

Wonderful place for the whole family specially kids that get fascinated with all the birds they discover and not just kids also adults that discovere things didn't know

Spencer Horrocks

Small, close to the birds, low crowds educated staff. This is a hidden gem.

joe jackson

Only good thing about Liberty Park

Amberlie Lane

It has hands-on activities for children. I hate going to places where kids can't be kids. At the aviary, there's plenty to look at, places to run, climb, dig, play, and learn! I had fun, and so did my toddler.

Thibaud Capra

A lovely place for an afternoon walk, with beautiful birds and a nice sun and shade mix that makes it very nice in hot summer days yet still pleasant in spring or fall. Note that it is worth going in the mornings too as bird feeding events happen then and a lot of other activities too!

Lin Watchorn

Sadly the Dole whip machine was broken. And it took the lady like fifteen minutes to refund me which was discouraging. Other than that a wonderful day there. So many pretty birds and you can tell they are well taken care of

D Bacci

Fun in the rain. Good value with the Ogden Dino park pass. The exhibits and grounds were very will kept.

Carter Evans

My wife and I genuinely loved this place! We went right around opening and all the birds were so lively. We paid a little extra and fed some smaller, colorful birds and it was absolutely worth it. The bird show was so fun too. I would recommend volunteering to participate if there's an opportunity to do so! We will 100% be coming back here next time we're looking for something to do in the Salt Lake area.

Lowell Boggs

Lots of birds arranged easily to walk through the park. But many attractions were closed due to the season

Josef Avaud

I love this place, great location, it's just perfect, I definitely recommend it. The scenery is amazing as well.

Spencer 801

Awesome indoor bird show, worth an afternoon with the kids! Thanks for being such a great place to hang out!

Clark Abraham

Great staff, a lot of birds on exhibit. There is a fun bird show. Very kid friendly with many play places and fun things to do and see.

Dan Rose

Love the aviary. It is a great place to go for a walk and take the family.

gyurka777

It's a good and beautiful place to relax. Maybe need a little bit better maintenance, but there is a great variety of birds. I could learn much about them.

Nicole Elena

Octobirdfest here was a blast! I think they could definitely expand it next year and include a few more options for food as some of the lines were quite long, but it was a ton of fun regardless.

Malia Alatasi

Our family has a family pass here. We love it! The birds are amazing! The shows, are entertaining and really informative. Walking around the aviary you wouldn't believe it's in the middle of a large city! Tracy Aviary is located in Liberty Park. So much to do here and so close to down town Salt Lake City!

Laura Weaver

Really cool place for a great price. They love their birds and they're are so many!

Tiffany Daniels

My family took me here for mother's day. It was so much fun. The best thing about this place is they have so many trees that offers a lot of shade. My 4 year old loved it. His favorite part was feeding the ducks (you can purchase a handful of duck food for $0.25 and feed the ducks) my son got them to eat right from his hand. It was a great experience and we learned a lot too. The down side is parking... it isn't really Tracy Aviarys fault, but just know that getting a parking spot can be hard to find. unless you're handicapped. But even those were limited.

Devin Jefferies

Was here for a wedding reception so in all fairness we didn't have to pay, but we all had a great time walking around and seeing all the birds. The kids loved the peacock that stalked us throughout our time there.

Ryan Wood

Fun place for a family stroll. The exhibits were well taken care of.

Kiwi's In America

I did not know about this place but now I do I will be returning. They need more than one Ice Cream shop thought and I also think the entrance fee is a bit high but a great place to take the family other than the zoo.

Wayne Anderson

The kids loved all the birds. A little on the hot side but still a lot of fun.

Brittany Gavin

Everything here was amazing. Great price considering the upkeep needed to maintain these birds and educate the public. Would absolutely go again.

Jeffery Williams

They have some cool birds here, really nice employees. Surprisingly the food at the cafe isn't ridiculously expensive so that's nice too. The drinks are tasty. I liked the peacock

Stephanie Liessmann

Beautiful place surrounded by a lovely park. It looks like the animals are well loved and looked after.

Jeremy Wilkerson

Had a great time at Tracy Aviary as a family today. We went without any expectations having not read much about the place. It was a great experience. In our opinion the value definitely exceeds the price. Not only is there a great variety of birds to see the landscaping was awesome. Would highly recommend!

Tracy Collins

The cafe was wonderful, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The birds were so cool!

Brian Kirsch

The old Mill house is an excellent place for weddings or other functions. My youngest brother got married there...Patty, his wife got married there too! :)

Meleofa Baker

Beautiful spaces. The birds are lovely. Lots of interesting places to explore.

John Rith

Great place. Awesome staff. Monday night family for the month is only $5 a person. Good times

jenny writt

What a wonderful experience. Acres of bird displays surrounded by play areas for children. They have everything from ducks, flamingos, owls, peacocks to exotic birds from different countries. There is staff everywhere to answer questions. There are also shows they put on to inform the public about birds. It's a beautiful setting and I would recommend it.

Chris Davis

Wow! We absolutely loved this place! Great bird show! They had tons of really cool birds from owls and flamingos to parrots and crows. The staff is really knowledgeable and we're really friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. It was not enough that it took us a couple of hours to get to everything, but it was completely worth every penny. We didn't do any of the extra things you have to pay for, but it was tempting. Getting to see the birds up so close was the highlight. We also got to see them feeding them as we walked around. There were ducks everywhere just hanging out. I'd say about half of it was completely open, as in no cages. Apparently many of the birds there were wounded so they've rehabilitated them, but they can't fly away. Really cool experience for anyone!

Caleb M

Great experience and learning opportunity. All of the birds are divided up based on the part of the world they reside which is neat and the sheer number of birds they have is awesome I was expecting it to be alot smaller. Great place to spend an afternoon in awe.

Yasmin Coronado

Tracy Aviary is the best place to see all types of bird's. Not just that but there is a show that you can watch their. If i could i would give them 10 stars

Courtney Cannon

First thing to note: do not go on a Monday as they currently don’t do any bird shows on this day. We made the mistake so our review is from our experience minus the bird shows. I hope that they are great- thankfully we got to see an awesome bird show at the zoo in town. The staff are pretty friendly but seemed pretty clueless and super young. We did the feeding of the Amazon birds and also the pelican. Be aware that you have to use your hands to throw dead fish to the pelicans- not the most enjoyable thing in the world and you are just feeding them from above a bridge- that encounter is pretty lame and not worth it. The other one was better because at least birds flew In your hand and the birds were pretty. There were a decent amount of birds and the cages were pretty nice- the cafe is good and reasonably priced. The weather was beautiful today! Be aware that the majority of things are outside so weather is important. Having gone to the zoo and the aquarium prior to this, the Tracy aviary was more of a let down. Hard to take photos with the birds too because they are behind mesh. anyways, a decent thing to do with kids on a pretty day but wouldn’t be our top choice.

Benjamin Harker

Was a fun trip. Lots of birds and things to entertain the little ones. Was bummed the bald eagle didn't want to come out (my favorite). They had about all the birds you would expect to see. I can't think of any I didn't see. Rates seemed a little steep, but we got in for $5 after 5 on Monday, and my wife (a teacher) got in free.

Cass R

So much fun, I love coming here with my family! Beautiful collection of birds and plants and the new cafe is a great addition.

John Hannan

This park is home to many feathered friends. It is very child friendly and educational. There are also interactive bird shows. It seems all the birds are healthy and happy. A small area was closed off for what seemed a wedding reception. I think you can even have birthday parties here.

Oracle Radikal

Took 2 year old twins, they found some places they could climb up the benches and into the duck enclosures, luckily mom is still faster. Lots of little parks dotted throughout that they had fun with.

Tracy Rydman Curtis

Great place to take the seniors and have lunch.

Karma K

It's changed a lot since my son was little. The staff was friendly & great. Grounds were well maintained. Doors & such were not very wheelchair accessible. Would like to see & have on their schedule feeding times & more interactive things for all ages. Should have more water stains or drink carts throughout the park. Only 2 places I saw for bottled drinks were by the entrances which are near each other. There was 1 place wa fan & mister. Would have liked a free now of those around the park as well.

simply brittney

My husband and I had so much fun walking around and seeing all of the cool birds! We went on a Friday evening and it was not crowded at all! The birds seemed very well taken care of and healthy. We even got to see a baby flamingo! Overall a beautiful place

Annie Bananie

I've been coming here with my family for years. Great place for rescued birds, family education, or just a lovely stroll. Everything is very nice and well kept. Some might not like the prices but I definitely have seen money put to great use here, constantly improving year and year, and giving the birds beautiful clean homes. It is a great experience to come here and see and learn about many different types of birds and be entertained by watching them. The membership prices are very reasonable, also.

K Higashi

We love spending the day at the Aviary! There is always something going on and the bird shows are very informational and entertaining! If you get a chance, feed the pelicans!

Derrick Davis

Wow! Haven't been there since the 90's it has changed so much! All for the better... Best friends son had his wedding receptions there it was waaaay cooool!!!! Taco truck, DJ & a bar... Does it get any better???

Trace Hellstrom

Fun for the whole family! Feeding the birds was a real fun time

Steve Sullivan

Tracy has become a jewel of Salt Lake. Peaceful well kept and clean. I will be back

Marissa Johnson

This place is kind of cool. I probably like the park it's situated in better than the aviary, but it's still a nice place to visit.

Marya Wall

Wow has the Aviary come a long way, it looks so much better now, they really have done an amazing job. Its definitely worth going if you haven't gone in a long time. There is still room for improvement but that's anything really. If you walk slow and take your time its about 2 hrs with a 5yr old. The cafe really lwft a lot to be desired so I wouldn't suggest eating there, which is a shame because it was nice to sit and relax after walking around, and go up top looking out at everything, but the food just wasnt that great. The ice cream was pretty good, so save some money and just get the ice cream.

Phoenix Pham

So much to see! The aviary is located in a large, beautiful park which was lovely to walk through before/after visiting the aviary. Entrance fees were very reasonably priced ($12 during summer). Paid $3 to feed the parrots but that wasn't too special; glad they were asking for feedback to improve that experience. The free bird show was very fun and would recommend checking that out.

TempestSkies .

I've been going here for years and I always love visiting. The whole park is on the interactive side, which I think is great for people of all ages. There are bird shows, indoor and outdoor, numerous feeding stations where one can purchase pellets to feed the the birds there, and displays educating the visitors about the birds. Looking at the birds, you can tell they're well taken care of. Their enclosures are always tidy and the birds have access to clean water and food. The parrots have numerous toys and other enriching activities within their enclosures as well. The staff are all very knowledgeable about the bird species, which is great to see. All in all, I would highly recommend this place for dates and family outings alike.

Alison Pack

Our extended family had a delightful time going through the Aviary yesterday. Everything looked so fresh and colorful. My favorite exhibit was the Kennecott Wetland Experience! All birds here are up close and viewable -- beautiful waders, one expertly chiseling her nest with 4 turquoise-blue eggs in it, one with blue legs; and an entertaining little Ruddy Duck swimming around showing off its amazing light blue bill . . . Beautiful spot. Thank you.

Khylie Taylor

My kids loved it! Kids only last so long looking at birds, the play areas are amazing for a break!

Brian Hooton

A fun place for family and learning about different types of birds along with conservation ideas.

Deborah Clinkingbeard

Beautiful. Good place to walk. Small enchanted gardens, relaxing.

SJ

Calm place, some birds need closer attention and bigger enclosures.

Wiliam C

Really fun place all kinds of different birds plus it's at liberty Park so theres plenty to do keep your kids busy for hours!

jennifer feller

Love this place. Just remember to bring a few dollars in quarters and paper sacks or zip lock bags so you can buy bird food from a coin operated dispenser and your little itties can feed the ducks and geese.

Robert Foster

Excellent place and Shaunna was so knowledgeable the best keeper we spoke with during our visit.

Trevor Atkison

Honestly one of the cleanest, most well-kept places I’ve ever been. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. For a seemingly small place, there were plenty of exhibits and displays. They had an interactive bird show is a very cozy room that made it much more interpersonal. The prices were very decent for what kind of facility we got to tour. It is clear that they take pride in the facilities and take excellent care of the birds. It wasn’t overcrowded, and walking around wasn’t too tiring for us or the kiddos. Highly recommend for families, or individuals interested in birds at all.

Robert Gray

The aviary is much bigger than you would imagine and has so many beautiful birds to see. It is a blast feeding the ducks and we could have meandered around for several more hours. Also, just the fact that it is nestled in the the beautiful Liberty Park makes this must-do, whole day activity.

Angela Christensen

Super fun! Lots of different birds to see, great bird show, and nice activity for the family. We were able to feed the ducks and play in different areas. Interactive stations for learning, enjoyable place to go.

Sarah Kline

Love going for all of the wonderful bird experiences! A nice piece of nature in your own backyard. All of the handlers are really knowledgeable and friendly! The rates are really reasonable as well!

Lorena Purissimo

I had a really fun time. They have many birds roaming around free. A huge variety of birds from all areas of the world. And right now the pink flamingos are here. A lot of fun.

Hannah Elder

Fun for the kiddos and adults. There are tons of amazing birds to look at and see. The little cafe also has great ice cream. Would definitely come again and recommend.

Megan M

Awesome location for large events!

Michael Lonergan

Wonderful afternoon walking around looking at the birds. Glad we were able to fit it in our schedule.

NAB B

Really nice place for the family, we felt really safe and the bird's show it is very good. Kids can go around with no problem.

TempestSkies

Ryanna Maltsberger

Love Tracy aviary. There's a lot to learn, a lot of different birds, and the birds are treated very well.

Elizabeth Clark

Amazing aviary! We fed the pelicans and the sun conures! An incredible experience

Letha Naylor

We go every year and take the kids. It is a lovely walk, mostly outdoors. Many species of birds to see and hear. My favorite is the Owl Forest! The bird show is also really hands on and amazing as well.

C Roberts

The aviary was really fun. They had baby flamingos.

Karen Castillo

Another great visit to the Aviary. Their habitats are spacious and well-maintained. Check out their new Keas! All of their birds appear healthy and active, and they are a joy to visit. Don’t miss the bird shows—we went to both as each showcase different feathery friends. Jackie, Helen, and their crew are enthusiastic “bird nerds” and great stewards for endangered species around the world. I really enjoy the aviaries that guests can walk through. The new Bird Feeder has well priced snacks and meals too. There are plenty of water stations and clean restrooms around the aviary to beat the heat. We visited from approximately 10 AM to 2 PM and I was pleasantly surprised by how active the birds were—with plenty of toys, shade, and snacks. Check out their website for more information and special events throughout the year.

Erika

Fairly big park with lots of birds to see.

Heather Fountaine

It was charming and my kids enjoyed wandering through the exhibits. They have a cute play area that was closed off currently that I wish they could have enjoyed, but nice shade areas to help with the heat and staff that are pleasant. A great place to spend an afternoon.

Lisa Christiansen

We were blown away. It was so much more than we expected. Going back for sure.

Asher Wry

Very cool birds of all types here, owls, bald eagles, flamingos, vultures, etc. very cool variety in a cool park-like habitat. The birds are always easy to see and you can get really close to them. The staff is great, but the cost was a bit steep imo.

Michelle Shepherd

Loved going. The guy letting us in was a bit strange with a dog collar and leather shiny skirt. But we loved the personality of those birds. I love being able to donate to a cause when I go in too. It makes me feel good doing good for these great animals. Lots of laughs silly birds

Stephanie Seewer

I absolutely love walking around Tracy Aviary on a warm spring day! Perfect place for the entire family to explore and learn about avian species for a really good price! They fairly recently opened up a cute little coffee shop corner and it is super adorable!!

Eric Cole

Check it out on Monday evening when its only $5. Fun bird shows once or twice a day as well. Its nice its been upgraded and maintained over the years. Its a good attraction when you visit Liberty Park.

Richard and Kayla Savage

Love this place. Isn't usually too busy and you can just go and enjoy the birds! Bird shows are fun and kids loved it!

Diana Gibson

Great interpretive displays with a focus on conservation and unique adaptations. A wonderful variety of birds to explore and other fun photo ops, too. It was such a treat to see nesting flamingos and free-roaming peacocks!

Squeak Evans

Pretty neat place! We decided to chance it even though it was trying to rain on us at first - totally worth it. There were some birds missing from their outside enclosures, but overall it seemed like we saw most everything.

Chris Levin

Liberty Park (and Tracy Aviary) are great. The park is vibrant and fun. They're almost always interesting people and things. It's a great place to go with your or on a date. And, of course, the aviary and the birds are great.

Zena Matthews

Spectacular! Made my trip! I was able to touch the kea! And get close to the peacock.

Maria Cameron

One of my favorite things I did on my trip to SLC. Tracy aviary is unique in that it is one of the only aviaries in the world. They have a wide range of exhibits with unique birds from all over the world. There is parking in the front and a fee to enter. There is a gift shop, water fountains, and clean bathrooms. We spent about 2 hours here and saw everything.

Brooke M. Boone

I love this place. They have great enrichment for the birds and the kids. We went on a Monday which heavy we got to release ladybugs in the rainforest building. No extra charge. It was a great learning experience for the kids. I also won a feeding of the flamingos and Alli was so kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful.

Anthony Caton

Really enjoyed the Aviary! Well worth the time and money regardless of whether you are a bird enthusiast or not. Exhibits are very well maintained and the staff are great. Lots of cool play areas for kids too. Highly recommend.

Betsy Johnson

I highly recommend visiting here. Staff very knowledgeable. Take one of the tours.

Jeremy Thomson

A great selection of birds and well designed aviary. It was a lot larger than I expected. Gorgeous paths, birds from all over the world, and the option to buy food to feed some if you want.

Andrew Wright

My wife and I had a really fun time visiting the aviary! We've actually been a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning about the different species of birds kept there. It's also exciting to learn about their breeding programs and other local wildlife that visits the aviary. Admission prices are very reasonable so it's not a cost-prohibitive activity for families. While there, you can feed the ducks and for an extra price, you can feed fish to the pelicans. Aside from the birds, the is a Cafe inside the aviary so you can grab a snack.

Love this place, always enjoy the birds. Staff is always friendly and educational

Good price to get in and saw a great assortment of amazing birds. Very clean.

Oksana Parham-Poliakova

Loved it!!!! So many beautiful bird and so close to you. And what a great work this place is doing for all the species!

Ruth Lowe

Small enough to explore in a couple of hours or take your time and spend the day enjoying the various birds and their habitats. The bird show in the open air Amphitheater was great; interactive, fun, and educational. There are peacocks and ducks roaming the grounds you can feed and take pictures with up close. A playground and snack bar. I only wished they had ice cream carts at other locations to beat the heat. Great for kids of all ages. Bathroom s were clean and air conditioned.

Jared Brown

Lots of fun birds to see for all ages. My 3 year old loved it. I loved it. It could have only been better if the Macaws talked back to us. It was fun to watch the golden and bald eagles eat. They were so close, it was super cool.

Mia Wells

Beautiful park, bird show is engaging and fun for kids, animals are well taken care of and all exhibits are clean. Could use with more benches, shade, and water fountains. Pack water to walk around the park! (Though they do sell yummy dole whips and some other foods)

Angel Morton-Nilsson

This place exceeded my expectations! A wide variety of habitats with some truly beautiful birds! Flamingos, condors, bald eagles, owls, parrots, kookaburras, and on and on. With lots of little play areas for kids to stop and have fun. Peacocks wandered around. The kids fed the ducks. And twice we were able to stop and watch big birds fly right past our heads while the employees were taking them out for some exercise.

Luismiguel Rodriguez

Very peaceful spot! Entertaining for young and old. Best part is how modest all the staff is, and how well versed they are in their field.

Eve Nigro

Super good soft serve ice cream. Fun place to take the kids or even if you just like birds. They have some really cool exhibits.

Collan C

Kids love the bird show, only takes a few hours to walk the whole place

Misty Mulkey

So cool to see these birds up close! Very educational and fun

My uncle got married here..... very nice venue

Super neat if you have time to kill in SLC. We attended the incredible bird show in the morning and not only was it informative, but it was so amazing to see these birds up close and personal - my partner even got hit in the face with a few feathers from a low swooping bird. The facility itself is gorgeous and they allow you to choose what organization you'd like a portion of your ticket to go to. All in all, one of my favourite stops in Salt Lake.

marlie lukach

Very nice aviary. Can spend 2 plus hours there exploring. There are lots of different birds and many very unique ones.

Andrew Sessions

great place, nice exhibits; some of the exhibits need more room for the animals though

Loriana Basile

Great little place near downtown if you want to do something different while relaxing and learning about difference bird species. We had to chance to stop and talk with the animals caretakers there while showing some of the birds too. They offer scheduled birds shows as well. Also there is an area where you can enjoy food, I was impressed with their menu variety for this cute little aviary. We were generally pleased with the overall experience.

Meili Tark

We loved our visit here to Tracy Aviary. It's a nice environment and my 3 year old loved it. She loved looking at the birds and also liked playing on the various little playground structures throughout the park. Lots of fun for both of us.

Janis RB

Love the peace and quiet. The birds are amazing to watch. The bird show is pretty cool.

Nina B

My son fell in love with the Aviary as a toddler and has loved going ever since even at 7 yrs old. We love coming to see the birds up close and learning all about them. During the summer they have some great kids programs!

Scott McNulty

Wow. So much fun, great for the kids and the adults! Make sure to catch the bird show, they had over a dozen kinds of birds trained (and they weren't the regular species you've seen in other shows). I was really impressed by exhibits. This place is thriving.

Courtney Duskin

Tracy Aviary is so cool! Dropped by on a whim during a weekend getaway and had such a great time! The sheer amount of birds they have is crazy and the peacock's are extremely sociable!

Leah Johnston

We had such a wonderful time here!! We took my mother in law to visit this place. She was here from out of town. It was so peaceful and lush and green! The birds were interactive and beautiful! Peacocks were roaming free and friendly! There were astounding birds I had never heard of!! The park was clean and well maintained. There was a lovely play place with a little slide and fun seat-hammocks to relax in. There was a lake with amazing ducks I'd never seen before. I felt the pricing was fair. They offer a senior and military discount as well.

K H

Beautiful. Great place for most any occasion. Leisurely walk through well maintained gardens and foul areas and enclosures. Great place for kids or a unique date. They also have space to rent for events.

Myriah Fankhauser

This is a really cool place to visit! It has great shady spots so any time of day to visit would be good. It had a couple of little play areas for kids, including a sandbox/conservation area. I'm not a huge bird enthusiast but I really enjoyed my time here.

Linda Clark

Great place to see birds from around the world. They have informitive bird shows to teach the public about the different spies. They have made some beautiful exhibits to make the birds feel at home. Great place to study birds in their own surroundings.

Aislinn Macintosh

Great educational spot by Liberty Park. The staff are super friendly and there are lots of information around the enclosures about the different types of birds. The birds seem well cared for and happy. In the winter, keep an eye out to spot the wild eagle that has learned to take the resident aviary eagles' food. ( Don't worry, staff double the food given to the eagles to account for this)

Jon Dunn

Be sure and experience the Walk with Andy the Condor! Absolutely amazing to be walking about with this majestic bird and be within a foot of him. Our guide was so informative and funny: a great experience! Beautiful facility.

Ryan Weiss

I loved my visit to the Tracy Aviary!! They have so many different birds, it's truly incredible. Their little bird show was spectacular! It was quite the experience to have birds flying inches above my head. The staff was really nice and knowledgeable as well. I can't recommend the Tracy Aviary enough!

thomas mattax

exhibits were visible, easy to use walkways. I was in a wheelchair, but it was still pretty easy to get around!! Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Gordon Smith

This place is always great. The birds are well kept and it is a very happy and peaceful place. It's amazing how you don't feel like you're in a park in the city here. I love to visit this place all the time.

Tasha Mendenhall

They've done wonderful things with this park. Every step was absolutely beautiful also so peaceful. Loved the birds and loved how much info they had on the birds and the gardens. We'll definitely be back.

Rachel Hayes

A beautiful venue for an indoor/outdoor wedding. The staff is alert, adaptable, and easy to work with. They cater to my clients' every need.

Johan Fourie

Park was well maintained and animals well cared for. The indoor display was pretty entertaining.

dirty dave

Not a big fan of fowl but if you are then you will enjoy. I found a misting fan pulled up a chair and waited for the fam to finish.

Shatoya Dixon

I have always loved birds and admired their beauty and intelligence. Today I fell in love with them all over again. A good place for a outing or to just relax.

Alex Page

Very diverse amount of birds and plant life. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jared Brown

This place is great! I've never seen some of the birds showcased here before or some it has been a while since I have seen. It was really educational and the little food house was awesome too. Really delicious. It's quite big so expect to spend a couple of hours here. Every time I thought I was coming to the end I would find another road to check out. Even though it was awesome, I'm kind of disappointed on how big the places were where some of the birds were kept; didn't seem right to me :/. Especially when I've seen some of them out in the wild and know they could do with a little more room.

Addie Naegle

Overall this was a great experience for my girls. The bird show is fantastic and the selection of birds in the park is exceptional. My only complaint is the lack of flexibility regarding the feeding of the amazon birds. Even though the park was nearly empty while we were there, they would not let us sign up to feed these birds because we were 3 minutes late. I would have appreciated it if the employees had been more accommodating.

Andrea Gore

Visiting from out of state. My kids had lots of fun. Wished that the playground was finished. It looked like fun.

Angela McKay

So much to see and do. Lots of educational items in a fun environment. Great atmosphere.

Kathy O

Great place to expose children to wildlife. The indoor bird show was amazing! Be sure to get to the show early so you get a seat. No one is allowed to stand

Adriana Sierra

Such a beautiful exhibit. The staff is kind and professional. The bird show is amazing and the facility is extremely clean and well kept. Also, the cafe with Dole whip is delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Exhibits are nice. Grounds well kept. Great place to visit.

I love this place! Took about two hours to walk through the whole thing

Dardan Abazi

I had the pleasure to visit the Tracy Aviary and I was impressed with the richness of the park and things it offered. I saw a birds’ show in form of a theatre and got to learn a lot about different bird species. I loved it and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who visits Salt Lake City.
