I took my brother and father here when they visited and this was the most exciting place at the zoo that day. We went in the cold winter which I believe helped. The bears we're very active and the seals we're swimming around like crazy. Wonderful exhibit.

Feeding time is 11:30 (or at least they were feeding them at that time when I visited) and the seals and sea lions seem all too happy to do tricks for their food. They make me think of dogs with flippers - happy to interact and happy to get food. They put on a pretty good show and for no extra $$, which is nice. The kids loved it.

The Zoo is always fun! We went to the free day and the crowd wasn't as big as we thought. We had a great time going to each section of the zoo and enjoyed the animals that were there. They seem to keep improving exhibits every year which is a bonus!

I love this spot at the zoo because it's relaxing to watch the animals swim and there is space to watch outside or inside depending on weather. It's a well designed area and the seals and sea lions seem like there is at least one individual up and about being active, which is nice. The polar bears are also insanely cute to watch when they are up and about. Last time we were here we caught the sea lion training session by chance and it blew my mind! So amazing, so cute, they are such smart and talented animals. I recommend looking up times and making a point to see that.

Love how much viewing space there is for the seals, sea lions, and otters! Stroller, wheelchair, and wagon accessible. So much information about the animals and fun interactive ways for them to learn. Going back soon!

Sea lions & seals. Trainers do a show while feeding them. It's fun. They are also checking multiple aspects of the animals health while doing the show. They have bench seating w an awning that you can enjoy the show or other areas you can stand & watch from different vantage points. From thestadium style benches, you don't see very much of the seals, only the sea lions. I would have liked to have seen both.

The Hogle Zoo is a great place. I love what they have done with the exhibits. Rocky Shores is definitely one of my favorite places to see. It's a great place for the whole family.

We were lucky enough to spot the training show at 3:00. It was great having such a terrific view of the seals and sea lions giving fives and dancing for their trainers. Adorable.

It is always a great place to visit. Reasonably priced and constantly have seasonal things going on. The have a train that goes through part of the zoo showcasing giraffes and zebras. This will cost $2 per person. Its a smaller park but usually the animals are in plain view.

The bears are actually very active in the winter. The sea lion show is a lot of fun, and the crowds in winter are much smaller so you get front row seats!

I like the hogle zoo. It's not the best I have been to but they really have made considerable strides in making it better for the animals. And it's a good place to wander around and take the kids. Little sad I didnt see the polar bear though.

It is a rather big zoo. Animals of all types, minus the wonderful penguins. I don't know why, but they doubt have the tuxedo clad birds. The otters are fun to watch. Most big cats are sleeping, as are the apes, monkeys and bears. Go during feeding if you want to see some movement other than a scratch of an ear. Meerkats were cute doing their standing up on hind legs and looking around thing almost on command.

This is my favorite part of the Zoo. You get to see otters, seals, bears, and eagles. There's a water park and jungle gym. The animals tend to be more active in this side as well so it can be more entertaining.

I personally don't like zoo's but this zoo actually went through allot of changes to benefit the animals welfare and they help contribute to animals in the wild. They take good care of the animals they have. I highly suggest looking into zoo's and make sure they are giving proper treatment to animals and are in it for the animals welfare not for the money. This zoo is clean and nice. Items bought there such food and Goodies do cost allot. But it is expected. All around it's a good place to visit.

North American River Otters are always just so much fun to watch how social they are and how much they like to play. The pinnipeds are amazing to watch as they effortlessly glide so smoothly under the water. It's hard to not fall in love with Mira and Nika, the two California Harbor Seals or with Diego and Maverick, the two sea lions. The polar bears are fun to watch especially when they go swimming. I can easily get lost in the Rocky Shores exhibits for hours at a time when I go to Utah's Hogle Zoo!

Love the lights at Christmas but didn't see any animals. You used to see those who looked the cold and also in the buildings, but now most are blocked off. Would have given more starts if we could have seen a few animals.
