REVIEWS OF Bayou Wildlife Zoo IN Texas

This place is soo much fun for children and adults. There are animal you are able to feed and lots of educational information about them. They have pony and tram rides as well. You can bring your own food into the park so for the summer bring lots of cold water. Bug repellent and spray would be great idea too. The petting zoo is covered in flies.

lisa cherrypie

1st time visiting. Lots of animals to see, staff very helpful! Loved the ride thru the park where we got to feed them up close, BRING CASH

Susan Burris

I went for the first time. After reading a few reviews I was somewhat prepared. We bought a bucket of food to feed the animals and drove onto the property. Immediately llama's surrounded our vehicle and we began hand feeding them from our car. Found out later this was against the rules. Would have been nice if ticket seller would have told us to drive on through to parking and not feed animals on the way. It does look in disrepair in some areas. A gate or fence breaks and they rig it up with makeshift wire or panel. I have livestock and understand why this is done. At some point go back and do a proper repair to tidy up the appearance. We sat for quite a long time in the tram before departure. They were also loading up a second tram while saying "We can't leave until we're full." Why begin the second tram if the first is still awaiting passengers? The guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and it was interesting to learn about them. I was impressed with the variety of animals. I will definitely go back and have already recommended it to friends. I will bring a small binocular to see the lemurs and rhino better. They were too far from the tram to see clearly.

Amanda Frazier

It's big, there are lots of animals and your kids will probably like it. BUT I felt like despite all the space the animals seemed crowded and unhealthy. Many of animals were encrusted in mud (probably dung too) and the ostriches seemed stressed and had plucked a lot of their own feathers. Plus, I have to question if its healthy for all these different types of animals to eat the same food pellets they give guests to feed them all day. But I am not an animal expert, and everything could be A-ok.

Stacey Smith

Such a great place to take the kiddos to hav fun in all but they would not open the gift shop for any1 to buy things for their kids being it was their very 1st field trip.. That was a bummer along with not selling any kind of food or snacks for the adults

LeRoy Christensen

Trams we were in poor condition with neck jarring suspension. Long weights in a stinky barn to ride trams (hour plus) jamming 4 across on the seating so that the center occupants couldn't see anything or feed the very few animals that did manage to ramble by the tram path. Sorry, not a good experience would not recommend for adults, young kids would enjoy the park most likely. Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, Washington you drive your own cars through the park and the animals come to you. Much better to get up close and personal with animals.

Angelita Rebuelta

We had my grandsons 4th birthday party Sunday 4/28/19 We had such an amazing time. We got a tram to our self party of 21. Our tour guide was excellent, she was very helpful, stopped to let everyone get a chance to feed the animals, and she even called the animals to come towards the tram. Towards the end before the last dip we had a blowout which was very loud. She called for help, within minutes two guys came and changed the tire. With the amazing breeze we had no complaints. Also Dominos Pizza delivered our 10 pizzas out there. Bathrooms were very clean. And the entire staff was very friendly.

Marla Herbert

They don't put any money back into improving the place. They have a horse in desperate need of a farrier. It's feet look like a rocking horse. So sad.

J.V.L. Vasquez

every time we go it is a new experience a good experience of course, I highly recommend it to anyone to go there to have fun!

ARIEL URIBE FLORES

A fantastic place

So first of all, this bayou only accepts cash or check! Thank goodness we happened to have cash on us, but it was $90 for 3 adults, 2 kids, and 2 buckets of feed! It's a bit excessive, considering you pretty much end up needing deer, a few buffalo, and the emus.... The people were nice and polite - we are in Texas - everyone is kind in Texas, but we did not appreciate getting squished in like sardines for the actual tram ride... It was so uncomfortable especially because we were up against complete strangers. Honestly, I would go back because my kiddos really enjoyed it, but you guys are WAY overpriced, and come on, get with 2019. Cash or check? Really? I have been coming here since I was a little girl, so it's a bit nostalgic for me, but I'm ready to move onto cheaper pastures (pun intended!) Like the Houston zoo which is half the price and has way more to offer...at least get a square reader so people aren't embarrassed about not rolling around with hundreds of dollars in their pockets...

Asfi M

Good place to take the kids, both of my daughters had loads of fun. My little one was very actively and interestingly seeing and feeding all the animals while on the tour on tram/ train. The petting area is fun too.

Angela Bailes

A really nice place to bring the kids and make a day of it.

Thomas S

You get to pet deer and other animals that the tram takes you through. There are no tiny animals that crawl on you and such just like other wildlife refuges.

Becky Leonard

Had a great time here. Great place for kids.

Brittney V

Love the tram ride. The animals come to you with your big food bowl (if you bought one for $2.50) and eat out your bowl just hold it tight because some animals have strong tongues and the female ostrich eats messy haha. My husband and I loved this place. Great place to take your kids.

Lauren

Carissa McDaniel

They are always so amazing there. My kids love going to see and interact with the animals. Plus, we're not having to walk a whole bunch because of the tram rides, which helps so much with my young children.

Tyson Blakeburn

Great fun for the whole family.

Sandra Tavira

Come early in the morning and its pricey too

Tristan Wheat

Forced me and my family to join a kindergarten field trip... kinda ruined my experience. I'm verry upset. Also the rain from previous days caused us to only very too see about half the park but we still had to play full price. It wouldnt have bothered me so much if we hadnt been forced to join the kindergardeners. Would be a great place if it weren't for these circumstances.

Brittany Stultz

It was great to experience the wildlife up close and personal. The driver knew her stuff about the animals. I could tell the staff really took care of all the animals and cared for the property! Will definitely be back for more visits!!!!

Texas Mommy

Best place! So much fun!!! Definitely coming back!!!

Eleanor Garza

Loved the long train ride with animals coming up to you for you to feed them.

Patrick Zhao

Over priced and they have 60 species but a lot of them are different deers. I paid $20 per person, better to go to Houston Zoo. Also they only take cash

marconi adhikari

Took kids for spring break, they loved it. They were so happy feeding ostrich and buffalos... Pony ride was great for kids, so was the petting zoo. Crowd was small, so basically no wait time. Highly recommend for kids and parents...

Sarah Fisher

The price is wonderful for how long the ride is! The feed is cheap compared to most places similar to this. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. You even get a free pony ride!

timothy h

Came here for first time today. The kids loved it! They got to ride around and the feed the animals. When we were leaving the animals out of our car as well.

Perla Simental

My son had an amazing time during his school trip

Gina B. Cedillo

So fun. Had a great experience!

Toni Gran

Fun and shady ..good for kids

Marchele Mayes

This was such a fun place to visit. We all had a wonderful time, a great family memory. The people that run the wildlife are so friendly and knowledgeable. To be able to pet/touch some of the wild animals, that you would not be able to at a regular zoo, was awesome.

Chase J

The good: Great place to take the family. I like how everything is included in the admission other than animal feed. Most employees were very friendly. Long tram ride with many different animals to see. Some being endangered species. Close up experience not every zoo has. The bad: A little pricey. Some animals looked like they were in need of some medical attention but that could be because the animals are kept in a more natural habitat than most zoos. I wish I would have know they put the ponys away 15-20 mins before closing time. That was supposed to be the last thing we did before we left but never got to. And then got yelled at from 100+ yards away from an employee sitting in her vehicle telling us to leave. This was at 3:53 pm. The park closes at 4pm. Outdoor bathrooms are unkempt and in need of repair. The petting zoo had only goats and 2 pigs when we went.

Brittany De Leon

We had SO much fun! Getting to feed all the animals. It was a blast, my 2 year old loved it! Great place!

Type A Racing

Loved it! Great place to interact and learn not just about the animals but the history that goes along with them!

Chauntelle B

This is great place to get hands on educational experiences for your kiddos. Its not like the fancy zoos, other may be use to. My kiddos, including me, loves this place. Its price right for the area and we will continue to support a family-owned business. They're super sweet and allow you and your family to have a great time. Get ready to see some unique animals and be surprize what this lil town can show you. Honest truth.

Jason Hightower

I want to give them a better rating. The folks there were super friendly and nice to myself and my group. My biggest issue is that the place needs to be cleaned up a bit on the inside of the main building. A good Spring cleaning is needed. I am sure they don't have enough staff to handle those issues. It just appears worn down. Again, the staff was super friendly and my kids did have a great time riding through the property and feeding the animals.

Joshua Chmil

Really great time being up and personal with the animals. Amazing photo opportunities and the kids had a blast.

Regina Carter

After reading some reviews we were somewhat skeptical but I’m so thankful that we went to see for ourselves! This was so much fun for us! The up close and personal touch of the animals were phenomenal and the ride on the tram was even better! We definitely will go back again!

Kisha M-C

I love coming here. You will need cash. But the animals are beautiful and the walk around in a natural setting. They do field trips and small group gatherings. There isn't any food on site. If you go around lunch time you will need to bring good. Nice staff.

Ms Bee Bee

Acreage(s) of amazing animals & educational wildlife information. Definitely a different type of zoo experience.

Noel Love

Some of their goats had overgrown hooves that caused the animal to walk awkward. It seemed that the staff might not have been that vigilant in caring for their critters.

Carmen Claudio

Love it. I want to come back and see all the animals. The rain only allowed us to see half of the park.

Ana Betsy Lopez

Beautiful place. People so nice but is so hot today to be in place like this. Love animals

LeeAndra Williams

Been here once before for my sons birthday came back for mine bug animal lover and being able to go around feed and interact with different animals are awesome. I will be going back this summer.

Nathan Armstrong

So awesome. It's not fancy like a city zoo, but you really get up close and personal with the animals. I prefer it to the Houston zoo for that reason. I had my 5 year olds birthday party there and everyone had a great time. Mostly hooved exotics, very cool. The pony rides were very popular with the kids, and petting the deer named buster. My favorite was feeding the bison. No cats or monkeys, but a lot of neat animals free ranging around.

Jose Torres

For a small in the city safary, it's a good distraction for the animal lovers. Good friendly staff, nice ride around the park. The only thing I didn't like is they don't take debit cards or credit cards, so bring CASH....

Crystal Hodges

The zoo has a larger variety of animals but the interaction at bayou wildlife is awesome for the kids. Buckets of feed are super inexpensive ($2.50 a bucket) and you really only need about 1-2. The drive in is quite the wait so get there early! On the way in you will be greeted by llamas and rams looking to be fed and are super friendly - once parked and at the pavilion, deer will just walk right up to you to be fed and pet. My little girl had such a good time - she was so excited getting to actually “meet” the animals she was seeing. It’s mostly different types of deer and bovine with a couple of exotic animals here and there, but worth the experience! And you can tell the animals are really happy which is also a huge hit with us!

Jeff King

Fun outdoor adventure. Especially for the young ones.

Samantha Coronado

Great experience

Tatanka Pineda

Nice place for kids they have a lot fun they can do pet zoo

Nate Church

Super fun place! Sad we missed the rhino, but all the animals are beautiful to see and at times felt like a mini African safari.

Staci Harryman

So much fun with the kids

Irma l

Loved it. Great interactive park. Children had a blast.

Terry Canup

You should get out an support this zoo! Wonderful photo opportunities.Wide variety pf wild life over 80 acres. Many of them get up and close to you. Some are intentionally separated for your safety. There is a tram ride I recommend you take. Bare in mind, this is rough, natural terrain, so expect a bumpy ride. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Again, I urge you to take advantage of this resource while it is there

Michael M

It was ok. When we went there were tons of daycares there. No place to cool off.

Misty Hanna

It was really cool to see so many animals so closely. We missed half the information because the radio on the tour was crackling and we couldn't hear our tour guide. It's a little pricey, but a great experience.

Clara Howard

It's a great experience in many ways. Who doesn't like to feed awesome animals up close! They need to upgrade just about everywhere including having a CC option at the entry.

Kathy Marines

I feel bad for the animals and a few of the staff. It's overpriced for the value to entertainment ratio. The animals are unkempt and some appeared to have untreated injuries. A few staff members were complaining of being tired, hot and ready to leave for the day. There are no staff to interact with at the "petting zoo" areas. Maybe sell snack type foods to encourage people to hang out longer at the many picnic tables outside. Big fans would be great out there as well. Overall it appears to need lots of TLC and definitely some major renovations. The animals almost all need some attention for sure! I'm sure there are some volunteer services that could be called to assist. I won't be returning simply because the condition.of some of the animals made me sad!

Jessica Jorgenson

I took a group of students over on a field trip and the only thing I can say is the ostrich likes to stand in front of your vehicle and it's kind of a narrow driveway that is only one lane for both ways of traffic to go. It's a narrow parking lot so once the parking lot is full it's kind of hard to maneuver parking. Get there when they first open.

Budget Towing

Amazing time with family

Kyle Suggs

First of all, they need someone to answer the phone.. was put on hold , then hung up on. Called back and no one answered. Secondly... if you want to have a birthday party there you have to give them ... A SIGNED BLANK CHECK... at the gate...lol NO THANK YOU!

Phoenix Riiz'n

I would have given it four stars but they didn't offer a discount even though at least one-third of the park was shut down and we called beforehand. And they are cash only.

Hiwatha Harper

This is a great experience! To see all the animals in the open like this, we got to feed them and take the tram ride. My kids loved the petting zoo. This is truly a jewel in Alvin Texas. We will visit often. For the experience the rates are reasonable. Loved this place!

Paul Luckey

It was really fun.

Clarissa Gardner-Warren

Great experience for the little ones. Super nice staff. Bring plenty of water.

David Snow

This is a great place. I took my family of four there to spend a Saturday afternoon and the kids loved it. You pay one price to get in and everything else is included (except for the animal food). The tram ride was pretty neat and you can get up close to a lot of interesting animals.

Praveen Babu

This is a private zoo which is well maintained as per the location standards. Enjoyed the tram ride. Good place to pass time

claudia quirarte

My family had a blast. There is plenty of animals and plenty opportunities for great photos.

Laura W

It is really awesome but it was so damn hot. 7 endangered species are on prem and they contribute to available biodiversity projects for breeding.

Raylena Busch

This tour was awesome we were well informed on the animals and the property waa huge..We will be back

Robin Tarbutton

A great place to visit with your family. Take a ride through their acreage and see animals from around the world. Buy a bucket of feed and get up close to animals, like an ostrich or camel. They also have a family of giraffes. They have a petting zoo, and you can take a ride on a horse. Perhaps someone can come along and make a substantial donation to bring this little gem into a modern rustic experience. I know I wish I could, but for now, I share the love. Thank you for taking such good care of these special creatures. I know how much they mean to those that work with them.

Andrea Bottini

This is a great place for a morning or afternoon with thevfanily. The staff is super friendly and they have a very good amount of animals. Get there even before 10am so you can beat the heat. Jump on the first cart and be ready to feed some hungry mouths! Buffaloes are AWESOME and stick their noses in your bucket of food. Buy 1 per person, they are less than $3. Will come again!

Joe Morris

Needs a little maintenance but the animals were great

John Richmond

Such a neat place to go see animals up close. My wife would go there every day if she could. We fed buffalo, camels and ostriches and any number of other animals right out a little bucket. Go, you will enjoy it.

Denise Cason

Great Experience for my 2 1/2 yr old Grandson

omar cotto

Good when you have little kids they will enjoy

Brandon B

So as for a child this is 5 stars hands down. Extremely cool experience for any kid. For the adults though, it’s a bit pricy for adults. (20$ per person+tax) and BRING CASH because they don’t except card. The park can definitely use upgrades on about everything . The only thing that was a real concern was a particular goat in the petting zoo area who had a broken hoof or foot. No idea . But he was limping the entire time I was near it and it made my girlfriend cry so that was definitely a downer.

Gloria Harvell

Loved the experience with my Granddaugther's and Great Grandchildren!

Cindy Comstock

I accompanied my Grandsons school class. We were very disappointed, several animals looked sickly and dirty. The first animal we saw was in a penned area right next to the pavilion where you eat, he had a large blood blister under his eye. In this outside pavilion there were animals walking around and bugs/flies Everywhere! Very annoying and disgusting.

Pat Reese

Great staff and good outing to take your kids or grand kids on.

Desiree Keeling

Had a great time with the kids, and the safari ride was fun will go back again!!

Caitlin T

This zoo was amazing. The price you pay to enter is well-worth the money and you know your money is actually going toward caring for these animals. We were able to feed many animals with 4 buckets of food (additional cost, but also worth it). This zoo isn't like a traditional zoo with a bunch of animals in concrete cages. The animals are actually allowed to roam around in more natural settings. There is also a petting zoo area where you can enter and feed and pet the animals. The bus tour was so much fun and you're able to get up close to the beautiful animals. Our tour guide was friendly and even stopped the bus to show us a trick with one of the animals. If you take children, you need to make sure they keep their hands to themselves on the bus tour and hold the food and the buckets properly out to the animals to avoid injuries. This zoo requires a lot more personal responsibility than traditional zoos, but it is such an amazing and fun experience.

Summer Murphy

Happy animals in a wildlife setting where they try to keep things are natural as possible. Interesting for adults and kids. The staff are super accommodating as well. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, and they went out of their way to get me up in the trailer to go on the tour. It was awesome. The animals are so much fun to feed with the buckets. If you go in the morning or before late afternoon, the animals are more active. In the late afternoon, they're more lazy and laying around stuffed. If you want to feed them and touch them, go early. Don't forget to see the giraffes and the animals in the petting zoo before you leave. The place is handicapped accessible and they will help you accommodate anything you need. They even have a decent accessible bathroom and you can access the petting zoo, the train and everything else via wheelchair. I highly recommend this for a wonderful family or school or church outing. You can bring a picnic basket and eat at the picnic tables in the afternoon and just make a whole day of it. They have soda machines and a gift shop on site.

Sarah McGee

Went on a Saturday at 10am. Amazing Zoo! Lots of animals to see. Amazing and fun ride through the park. The guide was funny and informative. So fun to feed and pet the animals. We all enjoyed the animals, ride and feeding the animals. The kids loved the pony rides.

Rodolphe

Great place, very friendly staff. Our kid loved the petting zoo and feeding the animal. The trains were well organized and we didn’t have to wait despite the fact that a lot of people was there on Labor Day wkend

Sara Chaarawi

Couple of things you need to know: 1. They only accept cash for entry fees. 2. If kids are younger than 2 they are not allowed to do the pony ride. They can take a pic on top of the horse. That being said, the people there were very nice and the place is rich with wild life and the animals are friendly. We enjoyed it!

Kristen Edwards

My family had an amazing time. My husband had heard from a friend to buy extra buckets of food and he was right! Hold onto to your buckets tight because the zebra took two buckets from us! Kids had a blast and so did the adults, it was great being so close and being able to touch the animals.

justin williamson

Not a bad little place. Could cut the price by a few bucks, but don't let that keep you from going. Great staff and the Jeep tour was good. If you got little kid, bring a picnic and spend a couple of hours.

Shenice Brown

Great experience! My daughter (7) loved the tram ride and learning/seeing all the animals. Staff is very friendly! Went on a weekday afternoon. Spent about 2 hours there. You get one pony ride and one tram ride. You can also bring your own food and eat there which is nice.

Eric Sanders

Brought my son for his 5th birthday and even tho it was closing time the guy with the hourses let me boy ride. Awesome place

Angela Duncan

A lil pricey but well worth it!

Lyndsie Wyant

Great experience!! Feeding the animals is so fun, great activity for the whole family.

Jenny Z

This place is amazing! The experience is something you will never forget, animals eating out of your hands or buckets and even getting to touch a few.

Anna Espinoza

This was my school's 2nd time taking my class. This trip was not as organized as the first trip. Nonetheless the kids had a great time.

Morgan Dykes

My experience here was nothing short of amazing! I had previously went to the drive thru safari in San Antonio and was so disappointed. So I tried this place and was impressed from start to finish! The staff were all super friendly and tentative. The animals were all very well-kept and taken care of. You can tell they get a lot of love from the staff! The animals weren’t shy to come up and let you pet them. While you’re getting to meet the different species, the tour guide will share some interesting facts! My favorite part was how the tour guide knew each of the animals names! It is rare that you see zoos with a very good standard of care for their animals. Will be returning!

Rocio Perez

Great experience for everyone and great service!!

Robin Makee

I loved this zoo! I personally enjoyed it more than i do the houston zoo. Its very interactive with nature, up close and personal. I fed ostriches, emus, lamas, donkeys, goats, pigs, deer, water buffalo, all of which you could reach out and pet them. They gave a free 3 1/2 mile tram ride through the park and all children under 90 lbs get a free pony ride! I am definitely coming back

Ramiro Aburto

My little son love it. nice place. To spend the day and really affordable

Jenn Novatex

My child had a great time-he really really did. From an adult perspective, it smelled a bit like the cattle stalls at a rodeo at the waiting area for the tram and the staff could have been a little more friendly but I kinda get why they are a bit less than amicable- they deal with screaming children on field trips all day long that don’t necessarily follow the safety rules. There are many animals to meet. They come up to the tram and the driver makes sure to stop several times so you can feed and pet them. For a school field trip, it was $7 per child and $8 per adults and everyone gets their own small bucket of food for the animals that will lasted me the entire tram ride-which I think was around 45 mins but I was not watching the time. Overall, the animals seemed happy. I saw one goat that was thin but it seemed like it was particular to that one goat. All other animals looked like they were well fed. The ostrich’s were laying eggs and the giraffes had apparently given birth there more than once. I could see from the tour that there were extended areas for the animals to roam that was out of public view. My only hope in all of this was that there is some sort of regulation committee that makes sure that all the animals are truly cared for correctly. Other than that, I was a great experience for my child and the other children there.

Irene Fatheree

Absolutely loved this place. Friendly people with lots of knowledge about the wildlife. I love Jeeps and loved that they use them as guide vehicles throught out the park

Kennadee Oppliger

Animals look and act miserable. Overpriced at $20 per adult ($10 for a child). Also, they only accept cash or check for payment. The tram ride was roughly 35 minutes long. Wouldn’t return even if they paid us to due to the fact of how miserable the animals looked.

Bill Butler

The staff was incredible. Very friendly and helpful. The park itself needs updates. Paint and new signs would go a long way. Had a good time and would recommend.

Triton S

Great place to go on the weekend, bring cash, fun experience

Wes Goodwin

Kids love it. Has lots of animals running free. The tram ride was very bumpy and punishing on my bad back but we were at the very back of tram and that made it worse. Free pony rides for kids after tour. Very friendly and kind attendants.

Katie West

The animals here look horrible! Missing patches of fur on alot of them, small falling apart animal enclosures. Just awful and I'm pretty sure there was a dead emu by the exit fence! Don't go here if you care about animals.

Atul Padhye

Reasonable for a small town local zoo. Good for keeping kiddies busy.

Heather Fox

The kids and I had so much fun! Great family atmosphere!! We will be back.

Patricia Rodriguez

The animals are varied and well taken care of. Other than that I don't have much good to say. It's not very well maintained, the personnel were not professional and it's not worth the admission. This place needs a lot of work.

Brittany Henderson

We went as a family. Our kiddos loved it. A lot of friendly animals that will come up for feed. This place has lots of potential wishing an investor would come in a help spruce. The groundskeepers make the best of it though.

Irais Avila

Fun for everyone of all ages especially kids!

Virginia Martinez

This is the world's SADDEST zoo. I don't understand how they are still in business. There is no way anyone would voluntarily visit this place a second time. The animals are kept in dirty pens. The hooves on the pigs and goats are not properly maintained. The three giraffes are kept in one small enclosure, and they look miserable. One was chewing on a metal chain attached to the gate, I would assume because he was bored and unhappy. The African "zonkey" (zebra/donkey) had an injured leg and could not walk, and the Longhorns were laying in mud. I was passing by an enclosure and saw HUGE RATS running around in it. My first thought was "why would they have rats as an exhibit?", then I realized it was where the Macaws are kept! Those poor birds are living in a rat infested mess! The ostriches were balding. I don't know if that's normal, but they looked unhealthy. This place charges $20 per person, which would not be a problem if the animals and the facility looked like they were being maintained and cared for. They only accept cash, which I have a feeling I know why... I'm not trying to judge anyone's looks, but to run a "zoo", you would think the people who work there would need to be somewhat physically fit enough to care for so many animals on such a large property, but every single employee I saw was elderly, or grossly overweight. I'm heartbroken for all the animals. Someone needs to do something. Any positive reviews MUST have been left by friends or family members, because there is no way those are honest reviews. Do your research before considering visiting this place. Look them up on Facebook. Google their reviews. I thought this place was going to be like other safaris and sanctuaries I have visited, but this is NOTHING like that.

Doli Chanoa Ordaz

They are CASH only, Price on the high side for our 1.5 hour visit we went on a slow day. Kids enjoyed the tram ride, feeding all the various animals. Oh & the pony ride too. So in the end it was a fun family time

Felix Mendoza

My son had so much fun

Amanda Ulmer

It was alot of fun! But some of the animals look like they are not being taken care of possibly. I noticed one of the miniature horses hooves where curled and also one of the ostriches feathers where all falling out ☹.

Big Homie

Great experience

jane c

The animals are free to roam and it's a big park, but you'll still see plenty of them. It was a great experience for my 3 and a half yr old grandson. Any plans for a senior discount would be also be appreciated.

Shawn Walker

Pretty awesome place. Very up close to the animals.

Rosie Pineda

Had a great time, kids loved feeding animals. Before coming I didn't check if food was sold here. They dont so make sure to eat before or bring lunch with you. I'm guessing its a way of helping the safari stay clean and safe for animals. Recommend this place.

Jessica Kivi

We just got back from here and didn't have a good time. Waste of my money, we bought feed but the person driving wouldn't stop or even slow down long enough for anyone to feed the animals. We had bought 2 buckets of feed and both were still full. No refunds on the feed so had to just give it away. Even the petting zoo area wasn't that great. Not worth the price they asking. Ive been to better one before

Johnie Busa

Lots of cool animals to see, staff was friendly enough. The Jeep speaker system was busted so we couldn't hear the tour, there are two places the back of the wagon drug button during the hills and the petting zoo was filled with goats that could use alot more care when it comes to their hoofs.

Chris Vandyke

The animals here are unlhealthy! I'm surprised this place is still in business.

Austin Dollahan

My Wife and I had so much fun here looking at and feeding the animals.

Christine reyna

My little girl had so much fun and the animals were amazing

Vixon Azaria

It was alright, we came with a school group so we got a cheeper price. I think it's good for the younger crowd, my 13 year old wasn't to impressed.

Great tour of the ranch and access to interesting very large animals!

Lou Ann Troy

This place is so amazing! The tram ride was very informative. The kids being able to feed the animals was so cute. I would highly recommend this place! Kids will love it!

Jennifer Bernstein-Delvari

Nice long tram ride seeing the grounds and lots of different animals. Super fun to feed the deer goats and llamas.

Frederick Holliday

Warning, They accept cash only. Besides that the kids enjoyed themselves and it was overall a good experience. Bring snacks and drinks because I only saw two vending machines

Bertran Schultz

A great place to get up close and personal with the wild life!

Aroldo S

My family always loves when we visit!

Michele Gonzalez

The kids loved it ! They need more animals for the price you pay .

Bryce Ready

Had a lot of fun with the family! Apparently this was a horse ranch back in the 80s, that expanded into exotic animals. You can buy buckets of animal food (2.50) with admission. They drive you around the park in a tram. The animals are super tame, and come up and eat food out of your bucket. Also a petting zoo, tame deer wandering around, and a brief pony ride. A really neat way to make the zoo a little more up close and meaningful.

Desiree Schroeder

Loved all the animals and the tour guide but the staff was so rude and unfriendly!! Every encounter with a worker was them having an ugly attitude with me and my kids!

xodlpl

its v cool to get to interact with the animals, fun for kids and adults alike

Cynthia Scurlock

The wagon ride was Awsome. The animals would come up to you to be feed. It is a nice trip to take your family.

cstuart1140

Great experience for the kids. Got to feed animals as they walked up to you on the tram ride. Kids loved it.

tasha shawnta

We had a great time. My kids loved it and we learned some interesting things about the animals the staff was friendly and well informed we would definitely go again

mike grenon

Prices are ridiculous, especially for what yall have advertised. Where were the rhinos and monkeys? Sounds like false advertisement to me. As much as it costs, yall should be able to afford more water and take better care of that park. I've been to 15 different parks like this and yalls was by far the trashiest by a long shot. Plus your guides should be better informed and not sound like drunken morons ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING AROUND!!!

Craig Walters

great place to take the kids, highly educational and interactive

Elizett Orosco

Besides the tour to see and touch llamas, ostriches, yaks, camels and much more..we got to enter a petting zoo to spend more time with the animals. It's a secluded area no need to drive with your car. They have an open vehicle for many people to ride in.

Steve Dormany

This place was a lot of fun. Visisiting friends from out of town and this was the one place they definitely wanted to take me to. Awesome!

Mike D

A little expensive for a glorified petting zoo. Cool animals.

Picabo Engstrand

Love this place! Such a great experience and my kids really enjoyed it! Will definitely be going back.

Michael Coiro

Fun place to take the kids to! Went with my girlfriend and had a good time seeing the different animals and feeding them. Really fun experience feeding the Emu and then sticking their heads in to eat as much as they can!!

Christopher White

This is a wonderful venue. It's a safari style zoo in which the animals walks up to your vehicle. These are endangered species. They don't attack or anything. I really enjoyed myself.

Always a great day

Boogerwolf

Our son had a great time feeding the deer, discovering new animals up close and riding the tram. A great place for families to enjoy a day together.

Anthony Johnson

Great place to take the kids. The animals are very domesticated.

I love it! And it's a wonderful place to take the kids.. It's inexpensive. Everyone is helpful and really nice. My kids love the gift shop. I would rate it over 5 stars.

After coming here and loving it 4-5 times per year since 2014, our visit this past weekend will be our last. We arrived with 7 kids and 4 adults on Saturday after calling ahead to make sure they were open. The total cost for food buckets and admission was $160, which is quite expensive for us but worth the long tram ride and experience with the animals. Half of us had been to the wildlife zoo many times but several of our guests were there for the first time. We had told them all about the animals they would be seeing and how fun it was. On the tram ride, which is usually close to an hour and includes many animals coming up to eat, we had several ostriches and a couple of deer approach but everything else was laying around on the ground. I told the kids, "don't worry, when we get to the big animal section we'll see some bison, zebras, camels, it's going to be awesome!" Imagine how shocked and disappointed I was when the tram turned back and finished the tour early, missing the biggest loop of the tour and most of the animals! I expressed my disappointment to a worker as we got off the tram and he said, "oh, the back sections are closed because we took on too much water during the rain." When I called, and when I pulled up to pay, they had every opportunity to tell me this information before charging us, and to not charge full price for less than half of a tour, but they chose not to. I feel like we were totally scammed out of our money this trip and would never go back to an establishment that had such poor customer service, bordering on shady. I guess we'll be looking elsewhere for our next batch of guests this Fall. We've had fun here in the past, but I advise you to definitely check specifically with employees before spending $$$ here as to what you'll be getting for your money. I will update this review if I am contacted by the staff to remedy this situation. Right now, I just feel frustrated and $160 poorer for no good reason.

Jay Fielder

Needs a little work but overall a great drive thru experience.

Sneha Patel

This was better than your regular zoo! It's great for younger kids to have fun by feeding the ostriches and petting dears.

Komal Desai

Kids enjoyed a lot.

Razol Mahari

Nice place with that mom and pop kind of feeling. They have a few animals that are on the endangered species list. Worth the 20 bucks!

james johnston

Good for little kids

Daniel Grooms

Good variety of animals for a small zoo. The wagon ride tour is a must-do!

Stephanie Chretien

Although it seemed like it needed a huge makeover and update, it was so much fun. There are live animals that roam the land and come up to you to get food. I wouldn't suggest petting many of them, but they definitely eat from the bowl. All kinds of animals from different parts of the world.
