I absolutely love our zoo! It’s a great place to go they animals seem to be in great health and taken care of, the only thing I don’t like about it is the camel rides, it’s in a tiny cage that you would train a pony in And absolutely no shade at all and everything including food is ridiculously expensive also you can’t take it anywhere with you after you purchase a five dollar drink you have to drink it right there! LOL other than that a great place to go for anyone that loves animals

Genna Taetsch

I enjoyed the zoo, somewhat smaller than i am used to living in Milwaukee with their 200 acre zoo. They have done a nice job with the exhibits. Really looking forward to the giraffe exhibit :)

Sonita Lewis

Great zoo. A smaller zoo that isn't overwhelming for younger children. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to go to the zoo while I waited a couple of hours for another place to open. The animals and their enclosures look great, and I had an amazing time. The on-grounds themed restaurant- Wild Burger - is expensive ( I paid $16 for a burger, some fries, and a keepsake plastic cup) but the food is good. If you go early in the morning like I did, most of the concessions stands will be closed. Overall a great way to kill a couple of hours, though. Their animals are in amazing condition. The Tamarins in particular are quite friendly.

I went to do a Red Panda Encounter. The encounter was in their enclosure and one panda didn't want to come down (not the keepers fault). They other was brand new at the zoo and I could tell she wanted to come down but she didn't know how to navigate the new enclosure. So we got to hand her long branches of bamboo. I thought we would get much closer and not be on display to the public in their enclosure. Kids were coming by and banging on the enclosure window the whole time. Before going in I made sure I could bring my phone for pictures. They said they would use my phone and take pictures so I could focus on the experience. I was extremely mad that every single picture they too with my phone was blurry!!! Every one. And some he used landscape mode for so those pictures were all stretched and distorted. Don't offer to take pictures of you don't know how to use a camera. It's not like they are fast moving animals either. The panda would be blurry but the branch would be clear. The photo they give you is a photo the marketing team took off a panda. All other encounters u have been to is a photo they take if you and the animal. I've been to too many encounters. This was the worst and most expensive. I paid $410 for me and my nephew to have the experience. Very disappointing.

Rodney Pulliam

Grandkids loved it great place to go and didn't cost that much thank you for a great time

Lisa Dickey

This zoo has a nice selection of animals. It's just the right size for small children to enjoy.

Jon G.

Had a great time. Learned about animals during an overnight stay and we got to see the animals the next day. We got a chance to pet a snake and on the other end of the spectrum, a bunny. The kids got to prepare a special treat for the chimpanzees for the next day and toss it to them. The staff are very knowledgeable and have to do a lot to keep the animals healthy and happy. It was a lot of fun.

Krista Crowder

I'm used to the Nashville zoo, so the first time I came here i was shocked at the different variety of animals. this zoo had a lot of indoor and well shaded exhibits so it didn't feel miserable walking around here. it has cheaper admission, but the food is waaaaaay expensive and unlike the Nashville zoo, this one does not (according to posted rules) allow outside food or drink so no picnics here. but we love this zoo, maybe even a little more than our home membership zoo

Danielle Talmage

The selection of animals to see might be slim, but the facility itself is top notch. My son especially loved the petting zoo and playground area with the musical toys

pam louis

Lots of fun. I loved the animals

Tami T

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. For a small zoo it has an impressive number of threatened and endangered species, all very well cared for. The grounds are clean, easy to navigate, and nicely landscaped. Admission is very reasonable. There are several wildlife talks offered each day that add to the learning experience. My favorite is the Himalaya exhibit.

Linda Chaney

Not as large as we might have liked, but the zoo seems like they’re trying hard to expand and diversify the animals they have to show. Loved the aviaries and my kids went crazy for the monkeys and the peacocks! Good experience for the money.

Caleb Davenport

Really great little zoo. Inexpensive and a great time for about an hour.

Jane Watson

Lots for the kids to see and do. Not too expensive. Place outside for kids to run and play. Also has an mini outdoor water park. Fun. My kids had a blast

Stephen Winnett

Had a great time. Definitely worth going to.

Melanie Leffew

My son loved going to the zoo for the first time!

Kylie Hester

I really liked the zoo! The employees were very nice and helpful. The animals looked like they were getting good care. Would definitely recommend going.

Clark Winslett

A small but comfortable zoo. All of the animals seemed well-cared for and not bored except for 2.

Emily Sartain

This zoo does what it can for the animals it has and its budget. Some exhibits are pretty sad, though--sand cats, wolf, coyote, crow, owl... They are working on fundraising for a giraffe expansion, and I hope they will be able to handle a large animal habitat. They don't currently have anything near that big. The events held at rhe Chattanooga Zoo are great. We especially appreciate the many and varied events that do for members of the community with special needs.

Machelle Vanvalkenburg

We absolutely love the zoo here! Wonderful staff! Great place to have a birthday party and almost always doing some kind of event! :)

Rick Dunkle

Not very big, but I liked the way they made the pathway let you see both the front and back of the exhibits without you expecting it. Y'all know you might get to see a little bit of God's creation from one view, resulting in a negative result, but the pathway gave us an entirely and most of the time a better view.

A couple of Us

Horrible zoo, animals look to be in distress poorly maintained enclosures, gave it 2 because it was easy to tour set up is safari like. the animals aren't happy here they need updates better upkeep and more animals.

Grant Ramsey

Great place for a family fun day. The zoo isn't massive, but incredibly convenient and reasonably priced. They offer a military discount too. Love their shirts, especially the poo at the zoo one. Have picked up several of those. The animals are well taken care of. Birthday parties are nice and affordable. Love it.

Monique Gibbens

The zoo is small but well worth the price. I think it's around 11.00 for a adult. For 80.00 you can get a family membership. You can ride a camel for 6.00 or 5.00 for zoo members. They have a little train that my granddaughter loves to ride. The animal enclosures are clean and some of the exhibits are air conditioned

Gerald

Very nice for the value. A little on the small side and the location is a little different than what I would expect for a zoo but still well worth the money. No concessions were open, that was a bummer but understandable since we passed maybe 2 other couples during our 2 hour visit.

Roger Gibbens

Nice little zoo with great activities for the kids. The playground next door is also very nice.

William Hudson

A small but friendly and inviting zoo with animals that are obviously well taken care of and loved by the caregivers. The price is relatively inexpensive for the attractions. They have a camel rides, a miniature train ride, a playground and a small petting zoo. Makes for a nice little family get away together.

DJ ILLEET

Great selection of animals, including the new anteater exhibit. Shaded, which is great during hot summer days. Adding a new giraffe area soon. Small enough to spend time with kids and not have them get overwhelmed and cranky.

John Coontz

Pretty good zoo. Small can get around it quick, they are adding more to it so will probably get better soon. All and all a fun couple of hours.

Karina Edwards

I'm not a fan of zoos in general. but this lil zoo does a great job caring for their animals. I love that they have geriatric animal specialists and rehabilitation programs for injured wildlife too. So open and friendly and a ton of fun events year round for the kiddos so it's never boring

Darcelle Daigneault

A lady named Audrey was very rude and walked away from me and my children. She pawned us off on another employee because she just simply couldn’t be bother to help us get tokens to ride the train.

Marie Pacheco

I love to go with my grandkids. You can take your time. The children can take their time, not being rushed along.

Sam Leo

A fantastic place to enjoy time with friends.

Marie Galbreath

Price was very reasonable. The workers were very knowledgeable. They would engage kids and talk with them about the animals. One of the better zoos I have been to.

David Jonas

I was impressed. The animals appeared very well cared for. I'm excited to see the giraffe enclosure finished. The petting area was quite pleasant. The goats were calm and civilized and friendly, not trying to knock everyone over. There is lots of shade and indoor areas so on a super hot day, there's plenty of places to escape. It was a great experience and my son can't wait to go back.

Lorraine Rutherford

This will be a great little zoo once they finish construction. Not a grand scale zoo but lots of variety. Very open feeling. Price is good.

Dacy Bost Perez

Group of us including 5 adults and 2 children. We had a great time, and I got to see animals that some larger zoo's we have been to never had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and even got to watch the Red Panda training. The trainer was very knowledgeable and answered every question without even a moment's hesitation despite whether it was a good question or a common sense one.

Ben spitz

This zoo is very nice but is small compared to many zoos I’ve visited. It is a good value and worth visiting while in Chattanooga. My kids (7&5) enjoyed it but didn’t like the fact that the zoo didn’t have an elephant, lion or giraffe. My family spent about 3 hours at the zoo and we saw everything. The zoo is a good value and worth visiting.

Su Fertall

Beautiful small zoo. It's obvious they have put a lot of effort into updates recently and are working towards even more updates. I look forward to seeing the new giraffe and Africa exhibits. I love swinging through for a morning and visiting when I come to Chattanooga.

Jenna VanderGriend

This zoo is very small, and the enclosures for the animals are very small as well. There are only 2 bathrooms in the entire zoo. I do however appreciate that they dont cap the number of children allowed on the year membership. This was my first visit to this zoo, (no giraffes yet and peeing zoo was closed)and after going to the Atlanta, Columbus, and Tampa zoo's it felt like a playground.

Lindsay Weaver

Great little zoo. It's layed out so well. Even on a hot day there is lots of indoor exhibits to balance things out. If you buy a membership, you have access to so many other zoo's across the country too!

Enrico Seebach

The zoo is great and so is the staff. Enough cannot be said about their summer camp. My kid loves coming here and looks forward to it every year

Shelby Mullins

I went with my son's preschool field trip. They had a good time but I was a little disappointed. It's nice that they have a pool and playground now but some of the other changes are not so good. No outside food and their food prices are outrageous. $8 for a bag of popcorn and $3 for a bottled water All they have in the petting zoo are goats.. at least one of which was pregnant and cranky. Actually tried to nip. A couple of other animals nearby that weren't available to the kids. I was surprised by how few animals they actually had. And I seriously dislike being forced to leave through the gift shop. Are they so hard up for funds? Try explaining to a 5 year old why you can't spend $24 on two stuffed animals.

Aleisha Mitchell

We took our twins there for their second birthday. I loved that it was small enough that we could let them walk around and enjoy the zoo at our own pace. We'll definitely be going back.

Juicee Saucee

Last time I was at the zoo was for a Easter Egg Hunt for little kids amd we took my lil niece and it was good, not just lil ole zoo, they give good showmanships overall, you wanna get away and look at animals, plus 2 gas station where you can get food plus it's a Mickey D's

Nicole Price

My family absolutely LOVED our visit to the Chattanooga Zoo! It’s a wonderful place to go if you need a family and budget friendly outing. It’s not a huge zoo (compared to Zoo Atlanta), but the zoo displays are very interactive and my kids were so amazed at being able to get as close and personal with the animals as they did. They have an eatery inside, however, they also have picnic tables and a playground just outside the gates. We packed a picnic lunch and the kids enjoyed playing for a bit. Looking forward to our next trip when even more displays will be up!

Robert Timmermans

Cute little Zoo and free parking....AWESOME!

Amanda Isham

Very nice and clean. Cute little train little kids can ride. There just isnt that many unusual animals. No zebras, giraffes, elephants, etc.

Sunsfever83

It was fun to take my grandsons too. Wasn't very big, but 1 adult and 2 kids for $8. No complaints. Nice little zoo.

Brent Casey

It's a smaller zoo but they are growing. They are focused on smaller kids with Disney characters (actors) in multiple locations around the zoo. There are several smaller critters; snakes, spiders, a few cute mammals. No lions, or tigers or bears, oh my! There were two jaguar's though. It's inexpensive for a zoo so it's a fun way to spend a couple of hours if you're looking for something to do.

Brenda Cox

Reasonably priced for a small zoo. Lots of shade for a hot sunny day. Good time!

Cassidy Robinson

Recently went to the Ice Cream Safari event in the evening. My kid loved it. This was our 3rd visit to the Chattanooga Zoo. We were surprised that they had a new kids play zone. It had pretend boulders to climb, giant concrete insect's, and xylophone and drums. Live all things that entertain my tiny human.

Bryan Reed

The Chattanooga Zoo has certainly changed from the time I last time I visited. My family and I had a wonderful and an informed visit. I personally wish to thank the Chattanooga Zoo for extending a military discount. We have already planned another visit. My son has always loved and cared for animals not only his pets but the indigenous animals. I think our visit has reminded him about the love for treatment and care for animals and insects. Thanks again Chattanooga Zoo.

Melissa Smith

We had a great time and the animals are obviously very well cared for!

Hubert maitland

Nice. A little small. But a great place for family day.

Ben spitz

Austin Hatfield

Nice small zoo. Very clean and kept. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Looking forward to the new giraffe exhibit.

Connie Lear

Very nice little zoo. They have a lot of great exhibits and use the space well. They are expanding to include a giraffe enclosure. They are renovating their food court too. The staff there are all nice.

rebecca shipley

A good small zoo. It's lacking in large animals like elephants and such, but it makes up for that in its selection of interesting smaller animals. Camel rides, carousel, small train that rides around the park, cute petting zoo with goats, separate splash pad/pool on the grounds, offers a lot of special events including zoo camp in the summer and Boo at the Zoo during Halloween weekends. It's very walkable, organized well, and has both indoor & outdoor exhibits to give a break from thesummer heat. Plenty of places to sit and rest. Wheelchair/stroller accessible.

Jess Calhoun

Small zoo but for the price we loved it and will be back

Alan Barra

Awesome place to take your kids. Very family friendly

d2kullc

Kind of a small zoo but good. My kid enjoyed the camel ride

Team Stucker

Very well maintained smaller zoo excellent size for small children. The staff is very wonderful and knowledgeable. Worth a visit for sure.

Kayla Wilson

We love the zoo, even have a membership here. It's small but with many things to do.

MJ Juarez

Very nice staff and the in closer are clean and animal look taken care of

Lori Jones

Nice place to visit. Entry is not expensive. We spent about 4 hours walking around looking and taking pictures. I was surprised to learn that a Snow Leopard is kept there. What a beautiful animal.

Daniel Stovall

It was clean, the animals are taken care of, and the atmosphere is more relaxed and friendly. The exhibits are very neat and interesting. It may not be as big as the atlanta zoo but it was a way better experience!

Kathy Crook

Beautiful zoo. Could get up close to animals. Animals were active. Easy to get around. Not a large zoo bit still had a lot of exhibits. Entry fee was reasonable but food prices were high.

Catherine Averitt

We love the zoo and the playground right next to it. Fun!

Mike Mitchell

This is a great place for a family outing. It takes about an hour to complete the entire park. But, the entry fee is only $8 for kids and just under $10 for adults. It's an easy walk and if you want to eat there, you do not have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it.

April Williamson

Very clean and you don’t really have to worry about your kids there they have a fence around the playground

Natosha Fielder

Cute little zoo. The animal habitats are nicely done and the animals seem happy.

Milagros Hernandez

It's a great place and we should support it with our visits

Stephanie Hyzy

cute little place, could use a good cleaning. The big cats could use a bigger place to roam. So small they can't even run or jog. Looks more like a rescue ranch than a zoo.

C Allen

Such a sweet little zoo!! It's a great place to walk with kids. I recommend going during the week as the weekends are pretty busy. There is a cool playground for kids to play, a little train ride through the zoo, and an older carousel. The zoo itself is really easy to navigate with wide sidewalks. They're big enough for a double stroller. A membership is your best buy. Plus, their evening events are super cool, too!

Matthew Curvin

For a small Zoo, it's a fantastic place to visit. You could probably spend four or five hours there if you enjoy the animals.

Su Fertall

Beautiful small zoo. It's obvious they have put a lot of effort into updates recently and are working towards even more updates. I look forward to seeing the new giraffe and Africa exhibits. I love swinging through for a morning and visiting when I come to Chattanooga.

Linda Buys

Amazing zoo! It's small, but it's packed with tons of well kept animals. Lots of lesser known animals: I've visited about 15 zoos at this point, and they had several animals I'd never heard of. With two toddlers (one who considers all walking events a race...), we were there for two hours. There is a large park right outside, so if you are looking for a place to burn off a child's last ounces of energy, you're covered. Bonus: military friendly! AD get in free, up to three dependents for 50%. 3 adults and 2 kids ran us just under $18. Planning advice: They don't allow outside food or drink, but they have a restaurant on site and there are several fast food places not far away. You can come and go, no penalty: just keep your receipt. There is a picnic area out front. They also don't have strollers or wheelchairs for rent. There are water bottle fill up stations.

Darlene Couch

Shaded which was nice but so hot all animals were hidden. Beautiful zoo.

Sarah Acosta

Spent the afternoon at an event inside the zoo. The venue was awesome! The zoo is small but nicely set up. Can't wait for the giraffe exhibit. The zoo has many special events throughout the year which is awesome. I highly recommend attending an event.

Jennifer Livingston

It was my first time there and honestly I wasn't impressed. It was on a Saturday, the animals looked so sad. You can't interact with the animals because they can't see you through the glass but you can see them. There was a deer there all by himself and no other deer, I thought he should at least had another deer with him. I truly came for Olive the sloth. I wish it wasn't so expensive to be able to pet her. Its like $200 for an encounter with her. When I know other zoos will take out their sloths for a chance to hold and get pictures. I'm new to Tennessee and was disappointed.

Arunprasad Chandrasekaran

Definitely a great zoo for our kids. One time can be visited and well maintained!!!

Linda Black

The kid's and I had a nice time there. It's clean and has mostly little kids there. You don't worry about teens being disrespectful. I MIT two of the ladies that enjoy being bringing their kids there too. We r supposed to meet there tomorrow.

Kayla Tillman

Cute not a lot to see but during slow hours quite peaceful

Jessica Blalock

Highly surprised with this zoo. They have animals that I had not seen in others before. Many different kinds of beautiful creatures to see. Entry was a breeze and very friendly staff. Very clean park. I will be back to see future exhibits.

Incubus 311

Great zoo. Liked every part of it. But watch out for the bird poop zones. You'll know it when you see them.

Amy LaLonde

I love visiting the animals. It's very shaded for a nice walk

Amy Ezell

This is a great little Zoo. Several animals here. They have a train and a nice jungle gym for the kids. There is also a petting zoo.

Wes Harris

Family pass for 2 adults and 3 children for 80.15. We love the zoo and that's amazing for unlimited visits. Big enough to enjoy amazing animals and small enough to walk without complaints from our teenagers.

Brian Simpson

Very small zoo. They had a white tail deer on exhibit. Nice red panda exhibit. Maybe stop by if you want something extra to do one day on a trip, but don't plan your day around it.

John Campana

Great zoo. Perfect if you have kids. Not too big and easy to get through, with a decent variety of animals. Many of the walkways are shaded too. Great value too!

Deidra McCary

This is an amazing place to come any time of the year! They always have events going on. It's very clean. The staff is always nice and helpful! They are adding new exhibits pretty often. I love it ans recommend it if you visit Chattanooga!

D Powe

We had such a nice time. Small zoo but very well kept and just perfect for a 3 year old.

John Campana

Great zoo. Perfect if you have kids. Not too big and easy to get through, with a decent variety of animals. Many of the walkways are shaded too. Great value too!

Momo Hagurashi

Great experience with an early boo in the zoo for sensory and special needs

Angela Barnes

A great place to take the kids. The chimpanzee exhibit is fun. The red pandas were adorable. They could add an elevator for the handicap to see the red pandas but other than that it was great.

Ella Fox

Stopped here on a whim while driving home. A nice small and personal zoo. Habitats looked nice and well built. Animals were healthy and active. Definitely worth it for the price.

Sherry Minor

Second time here.. saw do many different animals than before or in other Zoos. Especially the little monkeys. Enjoyed all the cats too...leopard, snow leopard, cougar,Lynx.

Chris Cagle

Love this zoo! Its small comparatively at least for the time being however, it's came a long way and has and still is making improvements and new additions every year.

Laura Harris

Smaller zoo, makes for quick visits. No larger animals here, but the layout is smart and convenient. Nicely sectioned by regional themes, cute interactive decorations for kids along the pathways. Camel rides, scheduled daily showings, and a cute petting zoo with goats, ponies and a pig. Some displays are in need of updating, but it seems that are making some improvements and were constructing new exhibits and play areas during our last visit.

Dawn Maynez

This zoo had improved so much through the years. I am so impressed with what they have done with the place. It's the perfect size, so it doesn't take forever, but there is still quite a lot to see.

Cheryl Foster

Cute little zoo. Probably better suited for young kids. The behind the scenes tour was ok.

C M

Fun smaller zoo. Snow leopard is awesome!

Randy Lusebrink

For such a small zoo, my wife I really enjoyed it here. We were not expecting a whole lot here, but it surprised us with it's charm. The layout was great, with decent variety of animals and things to experience. Looks they they are expanding and adding in a Children's playground here as well. Oh and they are getting giraffes!!! We will certainly come back again and again!

Aidan TheAnimalExpert

I definitely enjoyed this zoo. I went about 4 years ago, and I have always loved the cute feeling to it. While it’s not one of those big zoos, it has a nice variety of animals like red pandas, snow leopards, Jaguars, chimpanzees, and camels. Not to mention the giraffe coming soon. It had a nice appearance and the people were nice. I especially enjoyed the indoor areas. They had unique indoor creatures too like sloths, iguanas and foxes. The Chattanooga Zoo is a fun experience for the family, but does it beat the Tennessee Aquarium? Most likely.

jessica amburgey

Beautiful animals! Affordable and great family time

Bella Xin

It is a super small zoo, you can almost not call it a zoo, it's a big park with smaller animals. But beautiful places with eachother. We had discount from our zoo pass so for 5 dollars per person was a great deal. The petting zoo was favorite or my son and the monkeys

Frances Shurley

Kids enjoyed this. Not as big as we thought but its still a great place for the kids. Stop and have you a picnic there, the kids will love it.

marissa gulick

Had a great time! Got there right after lunch time, so a lot of the animals were napping when we walked through the first time, but everyone was awake on the way out. Super clean and the animals seemed comfortable and happy.

Tina Fluermond

We primarily visited the zoo to do the Fennec Fox encounter, which my 10 year old son was really excited about doing. The encounter, booked through the zoo website, allowed him to go inside the exhibit with a keeper and feed the foxes by hand for 30 minutes. He absolutely loved it. The rest of the zoo is well-done but small, which is fairly reflected in the low price of admission. We brought my almost 4 year old grandson here for an early birthday gift. He loved every minute of it. The staff were very friendly and the place was surprisingly clean.

Sami Harris

Honestly there wasnt that many animals in each exhibit and it was pretty small area also all the animals were sleeping. I'd probably go to a better zoo.

Sarah

We truly enjoyed our visit at the zoo. The exhibits are set up, so you can get a up close look at the animals.

Efrain Jaimes

This is a great place to visit. Not too big that it is overwhelming but small enough that you can enjoy the pace and relax. I would say that it needs more restrooms spread around the zoo. My 5 yr and 2 yr old were very engaged.

Nancy Nason

The Chattanooga Zoo is a gem. Lots of interesting exhibits and now there is a lovely little play area at the far end. This area gives my preschooler a place to unwind and interact with other kids. Perfect!

SpiritTV

Not a good workplace ! Pay is low ,same tasks everyday , easy to get bored. Always empty-handed. Staff are nice enough to get along with.

Kelly Jordan

Pleasant enough experience. I enjoyed the cougars and red pandas. I was disappointed the snow leopards were not on display, due to the heat. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the layout of the enclosures is nice. Don't go expecting any large land animals, though. The odor in two of the houses was so overwhelming my eyes burned. Also, be advised the train is not on a track; it is a small train usually used for party rentals.

Jasmond Lee

Was visiting family in TN. Decided to take my kids here. We really enjoyed it, especially the train ride around the zoo!

Susan Barker

Boo In The Zoo was awesome!! Rain was off and on light. Kids were so cute and the zoo staff were very sweet. Looking forward to next year!

Rebecca Gray

It's a small zoo, however the training times for the red panda and the gorillas was very informative. They also have a huge playground that my son thoroughly enjoyed. Also the cafe and carousel we're closed, I believe for remodel.

caitlyn chupp

We has a fun time!! It was a great place to wear the kids out before hitting the road. The gift shop was a bit pricey but the zoo itself was good. Not a lot of exotic animals but up close to alot of them. The Ape training was worth the wait! My 3yr old had a blast and enjoyed the play area by the petting zoo!!

michele fritz

My granddaughter and I had the best time ever!!! So much to see and do. Very clean, very friendly staff. You will not be disappointed.

Madison Scebra

Perfect size for people with little ones. My son is two and had a ball running around. It's not so big that he got tired before we got to the end, but not so small that it's a waste of money. Good way to spend a few hours.

Lynn Singleton

Our granddaughter had a field trip that we were able to attend with her and I brought the two year old boy that I keep. It’s a fun trip that doesn’t take long to see animals and a great playground right beside the zoo!

Debbie Friese

Love this zoo. So fun to bring the kids too

Austin Emerson

My family and I had a good time. It took about an hour and half to walk through the entire zoo, so it is smaller compared to others. Good prices too.

Josh Weiss

Small zoo, but super easy to get around. Lots of fun little animals for the kids.

Gracie Beach

We went for Boo in the Zoo and it was so much fun! They had all kinds of things for the kids

Tara Baker

It is a great zoo for little people, it's not too big and the animals are easily viewable. Also, it is not too expensive for a zoo. Overall a delightful place.

miranda ash

Today, we visited the zoo and it was awesome! Yes, it's small but worth it. I loved how close the animals get to the cage and almost want to interact with you. I got awesome pics, and my kids really enjoyed it and they are older. We are huge animal lovers and have visited many zoo but this one is probably the best as far as the encounters go it's not crowded and u can actually see and take wonderful pics without being pushed and worked through crowds. They are adding on, and more animals are too come so I cant wait to visit again in the future! Great work Chattanooga Zoo.

Deidra McCary

This is an amazing place to come any time of the year! They always have events going on. It's very clean. The staff is always nice and helpful! They are adding new exhibits pretty often. I love it ans recommend it if you visit Chattanooga!

Schro Surgeon

It's a nice zoo, but it is quite small. However, there is a good variety of animals and the entrance fee is very fair. The animals for the most part were active and most seemed happy and well taken care of.

Ocean Rain

This is a smaller Zoo something that smaller children would probably really enjoy. It has a petting zoo, camel ride, reptile exhibit, birds, and lots of other small animals. I do like how a lot of the exhibits are indoors in the air condition.

Amanda Mattingly

Staff was FANTASTIC. They were super informative and shared alot of info about different animals in their care. Small zoo, easy walk, shaded areas. Must do if you are in the area.

Thomas Ortiz

Had a nice time at the zoo. While not the biggest zoo I've visited, it was nice and relaxing. We took our time and saw everything there was to see.

Terry Taylor

Nice family fun, chimps were my favorite.

Stephanie Seelye

I am giving the zoo 5 stars for it's sloth encounter. Autumn, the keeper, and Olive, the sloth are awesome! The zoo is pretty small and some of the enclosures areas are small too, but overall it is a nice zoo. Would definitely go back.

Bruce Porter

I contacted a volunteer wildlife rehab group in town and was asked to bring the fledgling to the zoo for intake. I pulled up to the main entrance and explained the situation. They instructed me where to locate the rehab center (trailer). They radioed ahead and they were waiting. They showed care and hopefully the bird makes it. I do know it is in the best possible hands.

Clara Owens

Loved it. So go to see the different animals and the petting zoo was awesome.

Jennifer Riley

It is a smaller zoo with good variety of animals. I do wonder where they will find the room to expand in the future. All the animals seemed to have enrichment items in their enclosures and appeared physically healthy and well fed. Enjoyed the day with my step daughter and will probably return in the future.

Tonya Wallin

Love the camel rides train rides and petting zoo and just all the different animals to look at in their homes great time

Abigail Hipps

We visit as many zoos as we can, and we really enjoyed this one! It is a smaller zoo, but I feel the exhibits were well done, and the animals were so much fun to watch in their habitats. Parking is free, and entrance to the zoo is reasonable - definitely appropriate for the smaller size. Plan for about an hour and a half, more if your kiddos like the petting zoo. Also, here is a pic of a pregnant spider monkey poking her belly. Told you the exhibits were fun.

Lovely little Zoo. Visited a few times when in town from Georgia. Nice procession through the park. Mostly smaller animals but what they have are still cool to see. Kids really enjoy stopping in here. Has a small town feel to it. Will stop by again sometime.

Tony Vastano

A nice, small zoo. The price is definitely sufficient for the zoo. Unfortunately I went on an extremely hot day so most of the animals were inside, where they cannot be seen. I assume that on milder days the zoo is much more lively. I recommend coming here on mild days with family or friends. It's a fairly inexpensive way to spend a day.

Very nice ! Well organized and clean. The grandkids loved it! Easy to navigate. Lots of water stations with water bottle refill capability. Very family friendly with a play area for the kids and benches so the the adults can take a break if needed lol !

Kensi Hawkins

I love the Chattanooga Zoo and everything they do for the community. It may be small but I learn something new every time.

drema hall

We always love the zoo...here lately everytime we have gone they've added something!

Rebecca Smith

Though this is a smaller zoo, it made for a great experience. There was not a terrible amount of walking and it wasn't crowded which made the trip all the more worth it. The komodo dragon was our favorite. He was a ham and loved to come up and see everyone. We spent most of our time with the reptiles, a lot of the larger animals were sleeping or hiding out. We still had an amazing time!

Joshua Newberry

Excellent Zoo for the cost! Great and clean! Children loved it and so did I! Recommend for everyone of all ages! Exhibit rooms smell a little but they are animals.

Lucelia Lima

Such a wonderful family place. The train, carousel and riding the camel are perfect attractions for my little ones. Also very affordable.

Baletta Gustus

I truly enjoyed the evenings festivities! I can't wait til next year to do it again.

Liz Woods

This is a great zoo to visit! The exhibits were well arranged and full of interesting animals. The train was a huge hit with my toddler.

Ethan B

Great family time #danniefret. 5 star all the way. My son loved it

Connie Cox

It 8s a very nice small zoo. At first it seemed all animals were taking a nap out of sight. They started getting more active and it was delightful

Debbie McAnally

Not a big zoo fan but took our out of town guest there. It's very small and not really too much to see. Definitely not worth the price of admission.

Mindy Rake

It was reasonably priced, however does not have many exhibits and 1/4 of them were shut down, didnt have the animals in them or construction was happening to them. I would wait a year or two till they have everything done and ready for the public. Dont believe the camel rides should of been over half the ticket price. Knoxville zoo was 100 times better i say drive the extra 2 hours to go there.

Always clean, friendly staff that are all knowledgeable and available to talk to. Great train ride for the kids... Make sure you get the tickets when you first arrive

Jessica Fillers

I will never support this place ever again. EXTREMELY disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Mazze Stokes

Though it's a little small, it was a good trip with interesting animals

Heather Briana

This place is great. It's got daily shows and info surrounding all you'd want to know about the animals. They are currently adding an enclosure to add giraffes, and they have upgraded passes available on site. All of the handlers were super Friendly, and responsive to all of our questions.

Shanna Boatrite

Even though 75% of the animals were sleeping and didn't have many animals to see me and my family had a good time. It was my kids first zoo trip and they loved it!

Lynn Chiles

Loved it! Small zoo, but excellant animal exhibits. You could get up close and personal! Would recommend!

Sue Cook

Nice small zoo. Good place for kids. Very clean, animals well taken care of.

Kayla Patterson

Small but quiet and clean. Expanding rapidly! Great value for year passes. Extra discounts for military, I love this place

Debra Knowles

The new exhibit with the Anteater is great! Never knew they were so large. Great small zoo with wonderful layout!

Marston Stryker

Awesome, smaller zoo! Never too crowded, even on a Saturday. You can check out a set of passes from the local library and go for free!

Amber Brown

The zoo itself is fine. All the animals were pretty much asleep when we went but we did get to see some cool stuff. Disappointed that the giraffes were not there yet.

Jamie Loeffler

Very nice zoo. They have snow leopards and red pandas! Worth the money!

BigCountry

This zoo is small but has a descent amount of animals and the admission price is not that bad.

Steven Edwards

This is a relatively small zoo but they make the most out of what they have. The exhibits are nice and very well laid out. They are making improvements to a couple of areas. The animals seem happy and healthy.

Sean Wyland

Friendly employees. Clean facilities and not expensive at all. More animals would be great.

John Nyweide

Small doesn't mean low quality. Two hours of concentrated fun and learning. We will visit again the next time we are in town. Great veterans discount too.

Rob Wright

Great place to spend a few hours. It's certainly not the Knoxville Zoo, but they do have a great selection of animals to keep you interested. I would recommend anyone to check them out. Plus it is very inexpensive. Our family of 5 paid around $55 dollars to get in. Not bad at all. We will go back sometime.

Stephanie Guest

Great little zoo. Very reasonably priced. Lots of reptiles and other random animals plus some big cats. No other big animals. My only negative comment is the lack of restrooms. There is only 1 in front and 1 in the back. If your child needs to go in the middle, you are in trouble. Overall, we had a great experience.

Tony Vastano

Dagwood Blondie

I do wish some of the animals had better living space. However, you can respect that the people who own the place are trying very hard. ultimately I believe donations go towards the animals and that's very important.

Bradley Gilmore

Very family friendly. This zoo makes for a perfect outing for all ages and even has a carousel!

Scott Knowles

It was a great place for the price! Great selection of animals & a great place to take the family. I would recommend it for a visit! Had a grest time there!

Sue Carter

A lovely zoo. Can't wait for the Giraffes to get there.

myfunnystories

Nice little zoo. Not a lot, but set up well.

Dylan Edwards

Excellent staff, clean, and good for a day out with the little ones!

J. B.

Small cute zoo. Great for little kids

Nick Reinehr

Definitely my favorite place to go hunting. Great selection of various species you can only find by travelling across the globe all in one place.

MaryRae Moore

Small but fun. Have Camel rides and a choo choo train rides. Worth the money for sure.

Josh Nettles

Been a member for many years. My family and I have really enjoyed watching our zoo grow. Staff is great! The food is also great but kinda high.

Georgia Ghearing

The zoo is so much nicer than I remembered! They were training the chimps, while we were there, and we got to see a bit of that. The trainer told us all about each of them, by name, and I can't wait to go back and see them.

Rhonda Rounds

A smallish zoo, but well priced. The animals were lively, and there were keepers and volunteers out everywhere who talked to us. My children really enjoyed this zoo and the Halloween decorations were super cute.

Paul Wilkie

Its small but it was very very nice. I was able to get up close to the animals and I also got to see some animals that a lot of other places dont have. I cant wait to go back.

Beverly Chestnut

For the size it was pretty good just need to go when it isn't so hot because some of the animals weren't out.
