The fried shrimp and scallops are excellent. The large platter used to be worth it, but no so much anymore. It used to cost 30 bucks and fed 6 people and still had leftovers. Now it is over 50 and barely feeds 3 people. The fried fist is relatively bland. They also have baby pygmy goats and they are literally the cutest things ever.

We arrived about 5:30 at The Old McDonalds Fish Camp. The parking lot was loaded but we were still able to get front row parking. We were surprised when we put our name on the list. We thought we would have to wait. Then we realised that the building was larger than we could have imagined and were seated right away. So far, seamless from parking spot to table top and we were ready for the food that was filling the air wonderfully. As we sat down the waitress was very attentive and took our drink orders while directing us to the large pot of grits and baskets full of hush puppies, only feet away. We placed our orders and everyone, all (15) of us quickly got up and hit up the grits and puppies. With enough time to eat our filling of the starters, we placed our order for mostly fried fish, some items were broiled. The food came out perfectly timed. Everything was wonderful and our little get together had no problems. We ate plenty and packed our to go boxs for later. We all enjoyed our meal and friendly atmosphere of this well run restaurant. We will be back and so should you. Opens Thursdays see you there.

This place has great southern cooking! With every entree you get a visit to the all you can eat grit and hushpuppy bar. Also has been family owned since it opened in 1977. But it is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday if you get there on the later side be prepared to wait for a table. While you are you waiting for your table outside you can feed the goats, ducks, and fish. They even got a peacock!

We love this place. Just remember to get there early or get there late. If you arrive at prime time supper rush be prepared to wait upwards of two hours, but it's worth it!

Good food served with a great smile. A good variety of fish served that tastes good too. Seating is kinda cramped but overall an exciting experience that was worth the trip. There could be more signage by the main road Google maps tried to take us to a house that's up the street from the actual location.

Petting zoo while your kids wait for a table! This place is as cool as it gets. It has a pretty limited Fish Camp style menu, but they do have chicken tenders for picky kids. And you can help yourself to hush puppies and grits while you wait for your dinner.

The first time we have gone and almost no wait. The food was very good, but way too much food! Our server was very sweet, did a great job keeping up with drink refills and anything else we asked for. The grits and hush puppies were very tasty as usual. Outside there were lots of baby animals, goats that looked hours old still had the newborn wobble. We all enjoyed this visit, keep up the good work.

Go early! This place fills up fast. I don't eat fish so this is not my favorite place -always get the chicken tenders. But my husband loves it. It's a great place to take visitors as they have animals which kids love to feed.

The fried catfish was good. The farm is lovely, with two peacocks, several goats and many ducks and chickens. Make the trip on a nice day and get there early, before it is packed. There is an all you can eat option, but what they call "the small plate" is plenty for a woman anyway...unless you have a great appetite. Men may like the all you can eat option, but my husband had it and only ate one serving. The Cole slaw is good. The service is perfect

It was good, home style, southern seafood. If you can batter it, they can fry it. There's a self serve grits and hush puppies bar so you can gorge yourself until you slip into a carb coma. Plus they have goats, chickens, geese, ducks, peafowl and a fish pond with quarter operated feed dispensers so you can feed some animals before you feed your face...

Kind of a cool place with ducks and livestock hanging out front. Super crowded. Way out in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you drive your 4x4 so you can get in and out of the parking lot. Decent food. All you can eat hush puppies. Very friendly wait staff. I won't be a regular, but I'm not sorry I tried them.

One of the best places to get seafood they have all you can eat hush puppies and grits and they have alligator and frog legs which as far as I know you can't get anywhere else in Aiken if you haven't been there you should definitely go give it a try

There are 'fish camps' and then there's Old McDonald's Fish Camp. Food: Excellent. Tasty & hot w/a substantial menu. All you can eat hot hushpuppy's & grits offered regardless of menu selection. Service: Above average to excellent. Servers are friendly & helpful. Restaurant is almost always busy. Atmosphere: Excellent. A rustic fish camp sits over a roughly 10 acre pond. Entry over a bridge spanning a retention pond allows one to purchase food pellets for the catfish therein. Various animals in barnyards to either side of the parking lot will delight children. Food pellets from dispenser are also coveted by the goats, mules, peacocks, etc. Price: Good. Most meals/inners ~ $15. Family of four gets out for ~ $70.

The place was busy and packed but we really only had to wait 10 mins on a weekend for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious! The scallops we're cooked to perfection and we're def not rubbery like most places do. Glad they can cook scallops right a not many places know how. The gator tail was delicious. I never had that or frog legs before going there but I would definitely come back to eat that again. The waitress was very sweet and never had to sit there with our drinks empty.

We are so disappointed. I had the all u can eat salt and pepper catfish fillets. The fish was not fresh, the smell of it was way too fishy. The baked potato was over cooked. The fish was not clean either. Daughter had the boil it was unseasoned and the butter was rancid. The shrimp in the boil were not cleaned, the veins were still in them. Son in law NEVER complains about food EVER. He had the whole fried catfish but he did complain this time. The coleslaw was bad. The hush puppies were ok. The sodas were good my 5 y/o granddaughter did eat all her crab legs but the 4y/o didnt like her chicken tenders. Really was rooting for this worn down decrepit restaurant. $100.00 spent on food that was the worse.

Definitely something everyone should check out at least once. Go ahead and get the catfish, that's their specialty. whether it's a catfish po boy or the regular ol' fried up catfish it's very good, got to love the endless hush puppies too.

The waitress was really nice. The price versus portion is NOT good. The combination platter is REALLY over priced at $23.95 for the portion you receive.... And don't get a hamburger if you want a REAL one, because theirs are the nasty frozen patties. On a positive note, I will say the chicken strips and hushpuppies were good. We will not be returning.

Employees were friendly enough. However, it was quite obvious that the employees nor the customers were accustomed to seeing anyone of color there. Our friend ordered the fish platter although he was brought the same seafood platter my husband and I ordered. The grits were great while we waited as well as the hush puppies. I enjoy going back to my roots in the south, but that meal was delicious and uncomfortable.

Great menu selection, very good food. Best place in the area to get fried fish. Interesting environment, they have goats, peacocks, and a catfish pond out in front. Essentially a petting zoo outside. A little difficult to find and easy to miss the turn if it is your first time.

We went there to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday me and my family like to go at least once a year .Our servier was Jessica M. She was outstanding! I will say the only negative comment I have is my Uncle is fairly old And I know when you're rushing around getting the food out It is stressful but I will say the amount of times he got elbowed he should at least got an apology. Other then that, great food and Jessica is amazing!

Worth the drive from Columbia! There is an unlimited hushpuppy and grit bar that comes with every meal. The fried catfish is the best! I just wish they had a few more choices for sides, like a side salad or cucumber tomato salad.

Went as a Birthday Celebration. They served an excellent buffet selection . staff was warm and friendly. Food was well prepared and very taste. Decor is country quaint. Highly recommend the you try this Fish Camp.
