REVIEWS OF Oatland Island Wildlife Center IN South Carolina

Madi Hankinson

Oatland Island is beautiful, relaxing, and educational. Toddler Tuesdays are amazing for the kiddos. The trails are well kept and easy to follow. I have severe ankle problems and can still manage these trails. The boardwalk on the marsh area has amazing views. There are plenty of animals to see. There is also information and a gift shop inside. The butterfly garden is quite adorable at the end

robmorton66

For $5, this was really fun. The trail is 1.75 miles and includes cougar, alligator, bisons, wolves, farm animals, eagles, hawks, armadilloes, and a lot more. Beautiful place worth more than the $5 admission!! Go there!!

nicole yvette

Wonderful! The price is great! There is a nice amount of animals and its lovely to walk through.

Christy Parker

We love to spend time at Oatland Island!

Allison Burnett

A magical place for the whole family. It is profoundly beautiful and full of sweet surprises. Highly recommended!!!

Matt Spitz

Super fun times! Best part may be the barnyard crew. Get your goat on.

Matthew Reddish

Nice little place, not many animals and they're all resting in the shade because of the heat, but the kids really enjoy it.

Vanessa Tedder

Beautiful place. Never been to a place that's was so nature-filled. Wish they had more info but I know the staff does the best they can. Clean trails and paths were well marked. No confusion. We will be back soon.

Delora Lewis

Experience was great. Unfortunately all of the animals were not on display. I will be back again.

Kaitlyn Parker

Such a wonderful local educational attraction and volunteer opportunity. Learn more about the local wildlife and importance of preserving their habitats without disturbing them.

minertie studios

Make sure you cheack out the pond but don't expect to see all the animals because it's not a zoo but it's really cool

Mary Hibberts

A variety of beautiful animals! I enjoyed walking on the trails to each exhibit, and each animal had information about it. I was sad some of the exhibits were still closed from the tornado, but regardless, a wonderful experience.

Elyssa Davis

Picked up a brochure in the Savannah Visitors Center and stopped by without expecting much... it was lovely! It's not so much a zoo as a wildlife preserve with enclosures where animals life. Basic information so mainly it's cool to observe what's going on around you. Boyfriend and I went on the main path walk and for $5, this place is worth much more. Saw the animals but mostly just enjoyed the quiet walk and different views of Georgia environments. Would highly recommend for all who can make the 1.75 mile walk (listed in the guide given at the gate) and anyone with kids/young families. Beautiful spot and would cost more than $5 per person anywhere else.

Shikuto Cloud

Beautiful reserve. Get closer to nature since it's outside; and it makes it feel more open and free than normal zoo's

david roberts

Great place . Good selection of critters. Birds of prey are awesome. Most are injured but are healed and cant be put back in wild . Good place for kids

Caroline Scott

I was very disappointed in the conditions the animals were kept in as well as the safety of guests and animals. There was no staff in sight, unlocked gates to the wolf enclosure, broken piers leading into alligator infested pond, and easy access into the alligator enclosure (which also had no water for the alligators to move around in). We saw many instances of young and unsupervised kids throwing various objects at the animals, including throwing large tree limbs at the wolves. If you do choose to go here, please keep an eye on young children. With having worked at a zoo before, I absolutely feel as though this wildlife sanctuary is an accident waiting to happen.

Preston Carpenter

Very cool place. glad they are back after the tornado. be sure to donate a little extra for this great place.

Kristen Cheek

Love this cute place! Been multiple times!

Teresa

Love going to see the animals. They always look like they are well cared for.

Christopher Edscorn

Excellent nature center. The cougar was really cool.

Kim P

Something to do with kids (My nephew) he enjoyed his time. It was only $8 on total for me and him. It was absolutely beautiful and we got to see so the animals except two, they weren't out because of tornado that had hit. But we got to see the gators, all the cool birds, a bobcat and a bunch of others. There's a gift shop with nice priced items, and drinks sold inside also. Take a water bottle and enjoy yourselves. Whether alone or with others, it's worth it.

James Apple

Great fun for the family! Lots of very interesting things and animals to see!

Amy Smart

It was great, hoping they are able to finish the rebuild. They need support, hit by hurricane/tornado. Good place to take the family.

Christopher Runkle

Best for the Value! Plenty to see... DO NOT BUY THE $7 BUG SPRAY (terrible, you will regret it). Come prepared.

Noah Hib

Really loved this park with our two yr old. It was $5 per adult or $3 for military and kids under 4 are free. The trails are very nice and the enclosures are well down for the animals. They're recovering from the tornado so some exhibit were closed, but still had great content.

Joanne Razzano

Such a magical place to see animals in their natural habitat. We were lucky enough to see the cranes nesting in the tree tops.

George Wright

Not for the handicap, unless you are in a wheelchair. People who cannot walk LONG distances should not try this. Many animals hiding, did not see half of what they advertise. Tooooooo much space in between exhibits. They need to offer a snall tram to get people around. Not enough benchs to rest on, 1/2 mile walk, no where to sit at all, when we did find a bench, it was full sun. My 86 year old mother almost passed out, and me too for that matter. Save youraelf some time and trouble, go to a real zoo. We will not be coming back, although it was cheap, it was not worth a medical crisis to see it.

Cynthia Dancers ygy aww

The walk around the trail was very good, and the information on all of the animal was excellent, also an educational experience for my daughter.

beth applegate

This was a fun outdoor adventure for my family. We walked through the trails, saw some cute rescued wildlife and got some exercise. Definitely budget friendly as well

Aaron Railling

Very cool. Animals are well taken care of. And all rescues I might add. Great for kids and adult kids alike...

Wayne Chaney

This was a fantastic place to spend time with our toddlers. We had a perfect picnic under a big shade tree and enjoyed all of the different attractions! It is certainly family friendly, and it has plenty of resting stops along the trail for those who may need it. Small enough to enjoy with kids, but big enough to make it worthy for the adults. Very nice and affordable. We will certainly be back.

Summer Summer

this is a nice place if you want to have a nice long walk and view the animals. They do close early around 4 I think but if you go early morning you will have a great experience. Not to hot and the animals will be moving around more. It's a great nature trail and the kids will also enjoy this, just be ready to pick the kids up if you have smaller ones, and the bigger ones might complain about all the walking if it's too hot. I sure did lol. Not expensive at all about $5 to get in.

William Lewis

Fantastic place to take your kids and teach them how to respect wildlife. Also very educational they always have events. Gotta love dat donkey!!!!

Wesley Keown

Overall a fun family experience. Friendly for young children and by stroller. 1.75 casual walking trail that our 5 year old and 3 year old did well with. There are good animal exhibits along the trail. The double level of fencing shows that they go above and beyond to help protect their youngest viewers. A great place to bring a lunch as there are several picnic table locations near the parking lot/main building. Lastly, the main building has some really cool exhibits that are easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention. Their rates are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 4-17, and free for 3 and under.

Ashley Jones

Great for children of all ages. Bring a water container and bug spray. Best in cooler weather. Fun trails to walk. Close encounters with animals. (They have a water fountain and bathrooms in the main lobby. Wheelchair accessible)

Kale LeBlanc

Nice park spread over a whole bunch of acreage. Historic building housing the main office makes it neat, too.

Joshua Hudgins

Me & kids liked all the site to see. Very nice nd friendly staff.

heather fox

I loved that this place was outside on a trail and it takes you through a mini marsh. They did have a lot of animals put up which is why I'm giving it a 4.

Quanetta Stevens

My family and I had a great time here. It was both educational and fun.

Adamsmoviechannel Movie reviewer

The first time we came on 4/19/19, the Oatland island wildlife center was closed due to the high winds and incoming thunderstorms in the afternoon and impending weather. We didn’t know this until we showed up to the place when the gate was closed and there was a sign stating closed due to impending weather. Tip: look on their website to see if they are open or not before you show up to the place or call them to find out. On 4/20/19, I called the place to confirm if they were open or not after the day before with the horrible thunderstorms and high winds. Plus they were also hit with a tornado as well a few weeks ago. The reason why I called was to make sure they were open before I drove all the way there. The lady on the phone was very polite and friendly stating that they were open and all cleaned up after the storm. So when we showed up, the entrance is very cool by driving through the forest and woods. The admission was a great price, adults were $5 and children were $3. The guy at the booth gave us a map of the place and stated that the fox and the deer were off exhibit ( not on exhibit ). The parking lot was a good size. The welcome center was cool because they had some amphibians in there and some animals. The bathrooms were nice and clean and not dirty or filthy. The staff at the welcome center were nice and polite and friendly and good with the directions if you got lost or something. The staff on the whole property was great and polite. The gift shop was nice and had fair prices as well. The directions for the main trail were explained well. So basically the whole park is a walking trail in the woods and on boardwalks throughout the woods and forest which was pretty cool and fun and nice to walk through! The owls were great and interesting.the alligator were probably one of the best attractions at the place. They had 3 alligators and they were really big ! The one alligator moved into the water. If you don’t see them, look in the pond or under the trees or in the shady spots. The cougar was fun to watch because it was sleeping next to the window. The marsh view cut was nice because you walked through the Everglades and saw a lot of birds

Angel Morse

Absolutely love Oatland.inexpensive. rhe Wolves are my favorite.

марина вязовченко

Very good train for walking with kids . My children love it.

Kenneth Simon

Nice for a couple hr walk with family. I would go i the morning b4 the heat I am sure the animals would be more active at that time.

Ray Herman

There is nothing natural about this wildlife center. Nothing short of abuse. These animals need to be rescued.

Will Riggs

It was a very nice zoo! Enjoyed the nature walk through the trails and looking at the wolf's, cougar, eagles, deer, alligators and more. Nice facilities and some good educational facts.

The Sister Channel

Love this place!! Great adventure for the family. Easy walking with lots of animals to see. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates.

Elizabeth McDougal

Went on the Halloween hike in October and the grounds were gorgeous, and the staff was absolutely great! Lots of animals, insects and fossils on display They may still be closed repairing hurricane damage, but they should be open soon and it's well worth a hike or science walk

Barbara Binks

A great day of walking in the shade learning about local animals. Perfect for kids.

Steven Stokowski

We especially liked the gopher tortoise, owls, hawks, panther, and wolves!

Kevin Fuller

Very great place to talk your children.

clayton Mackey

Had a great time here with friends and family. So happy to see them reopen.

Zadok Moss

This is an excellent place to visit with beautiful trails and a variety of animals to see up close. The visitors center also co tains several animals, a gift shop, educational space, and a friendly staff who are happy to assist with any needs. There are multiple facilities here and they can cater to single individuals all the way up to large school groups. I've been several times and I enjoy it more every time!

Libby

Oatland Island Wildlife Center is an excellent place to take a walk and enjoy seeing different animals (bison, wolves, cougar, owls, armadillos, eagles, snakes, and more). The trail is very well-kept and easy for a stroller. The walk is not strenuous at all, so it’s suitable for children of all ages. This is a very beautiful and well-maintained nature experience that the whole family will enjoy.

Daniel Stovall

Bit of a walk to cover the entire place but worth it. You can attend a presentation for a little extra were you can touch animals like baby alligators and snakes (in a controlled environment). You can try samples of the local honey they have for sale and be sure to visit the wolves if you need to cool off, their building has air conditioning. They also have a farm area where you can pet some of the animals as well.

Theresa De Wild

We've been here numerous times. My daughter loves it here, especially the wolf sanctuary. The trails are nice and the staff is very knowledgeable. A great place to go and unwind.

Yasmin Alzayer

Lots of walking you should take your water and get ready to walk around and discover the animals. Beautiful place and really good price

Laverne Hunter

Great wild life preserve to visit... Had fun

Gregory Freeman

This wildlife center is a real gem. The staff are courteous and helpful. When we were about to leave, I commented I was sad my son couldn't see the possum that was sleeping. A staff member actually opened the enclosure so that my son could get a better look and gave a quick talk to us about the possum's tail. The wildlife center's collection includes bobcats, cougars, wolves, bison, alligators, a number of birds of prey such as owls, hawks, and even bald eagles, and a barnyard petting zoo. You should definitely check this place out.

Samantha Rodney

Amazing price and such a wonderful experience. Great for kids and adults! My boyfriend and I loved the place. Cant wait to go back again

Kim Yost

Absolutely worth going!! Especially for the price. Very inexpensive. Nice nature walk, beautiful scenery, and interesting animals. Loved the wolves and the snoozing possum.

Cassandra Sheffield

Great place for a family day. The kids love the animals and got some good exercise walking the trail. Highlight was definately the wolves! So glad the have been able to reopen. Cant wait until they are back to full strength and all the exhibits are open again!

Vic Scott

Great educational stuff for kids an inexpensive

Carmen Skattebo

It was so cool I love animals so much and it had so many cool animals

Cathy Huynh

I was surprised to find this gem in savannah. It was only $5 for adults but you can spend more than an hour at this wildlife center because the hike trail is close to 2 miles long. I came here with my boyfriend, it was beautiful and seeing the animals. I was especially excited about seeing bison because I've never seen one before! Make sure you bring water on the trail with you, it gets hot and humid as you're walking through the trails.

Nicholas Mullins

Quaint nature center with lots of family activities and beautiful location.

George Smith

Our kids loved this place... we will be back Prices were very reasonable as well

Raq C

So great. The exhibits are very well spaced and educational without being too much.

Jennifer Jones

Great place to go and visit. Love looking at all the animals they have. It's a beautiful place. Has great trails for you to follow

Tamara G

The cost to fun ratio at this place is incredible. For $5 an adult you can spend 3 hours looking at awesome animals. Went here as a side trip to Savannah and do not regret it. But a warning make sure you wear bug spray because the mosquitos were killer

Ramon Diaz

I am so in love with this place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I just became a member with them two weeks ago and wow the knowledge they have about their animals is wonderful. Don't be afraid to ask questions everyone there is so easy to speak to. I recommend the membership because of the great membership perks there are different membership levels. Enjoy

Chloé Stone

Fun place for kids. Quite a long hike so bring some water and wear comfortable shoes. There are healthy snack options in the gift shop for kids and some cooler areas to rest and see animals.

Donna Hart

I loved the nature walks along the trails. I saw a cougar, wolves and eagles, owls etc. The only thing that bothered me was the small area the wolves now have to live in! It seems the bison have the area the wolves had. The wolves have a much smaller place to roam unlike the neat place they were in....

Murray Baughman III

Just such an amazing experience! Volunteers there are so wonderful

Becky Stewart

We always enjoy coming here. Toddler Tuesday's are so great for little ones. The teacher for the program is so wonderful.

Jenna Marie

Went on the trail with friends. Enjoyed the animals and the walk. Wear closed toe shoes for walking.

odette

Nice little walk. Clean visitor center.

Steve Troletti

I great place to bring the kids and introduce them to wildlife and the challenges they face. A great walking trail brings you from exhibit to exhibit. They have a great visitor center. Since a few exhibits are still being rebuilt from the last hurricane they didn't charge admission but I still payed it as a donation, I encourage y'all to do the same.

Kimberly Kubicki

So much to see! It wasnt that busy either which made it nice..it was peaceful and I lived the farm section

Jessica Millican

Always loved coming here and so glad I got to visit and take my son. Very small, but a nice walk in the woods, over the marsh, and on a boardwalk.

Sha Born

It had a lot of cool animals

Ramon Cabarrubia

Interesting jaunt through marshland. They have animals both native and not to the area. Missed out on the bobcats and foxes but all in all recommended for a nice nature excursion.

Pamela Clisbee

Love Oatland Island and glad they have open again. Soo sad to see the devastation to Oatland Island due to the hurricanes and tornadoes from the past years. We must do everything we can to protect wildlife, that is why my family visits often and donates.

Angela Borte

Great experience with our 3 kids. 2 being teens and a toddler lol Cheap price to get it. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. You can refill it in the main lobby area. If you go in the hot time, bring a towel if you sweat like my husband lol

Ginny Lucovich

This place is wonderful! Lots of animals that you dont typically get to see at places like this. Animals look well taken care of and healthy. Beautiful trails as well

Sean Fails

Lots of fun for all ages. Animals look well taken care of and have nice enclosures.

Alicia Crouch

Love this place and that they offer military free days at certain times of year. Great place and staff is very kind.

Tess Dimick

Still coming back from 2018's tornado but it's open and beautiful. Nice walk, a talkative goose, enormous cow, bison, wolves... gorgeous. Well worth the 5 bucks per person.

Buddy Wood

They staff is great, very friendly Definitely a great destination if you have kids

Lisa Hernandez

Great nature walk with the occasional exhibit. I took an easily bored 4 year old and she did just fine. Best less than $10 I've spent all year. The foxes are on vacation rn in case you go specifically to see them. Keep up the good work!

Becky Freker

Very cool place! Informative staff.

Brooke Sapp

I love this place. All the staff (they might be volunteers) are so knowledgeable and care about the animals as well as the history of Oatland Island. Kids love the big cow, wolves..

Melissa Atkins

I love Oatland Island but be prepared for sandnats attacking. I wish we could see the animals at feeding time. I been alot & never seen them eat.

William Moore

GreT place to walk around.

Susan Hamilton

Great place to take kids. More like a nature walk, have some animals and reptiles. Lots of walking. There is a walk out on the Marsh. The wolfs are beautiful there. Need more animals. They have a gift shop. They have events through out the year.

Leanna Schneider

super cool. loved taking my family there.

Janet Clore

Raining, but offered plenty of shelter stops and it wasn't 100 degrees. Lovely woman at the desk.

Anne Tucker

Great place to just escape and disappear into nature with beautiful animals

alvaki

it was aight lotta bugs got bit a lot but the wolves were cute

Stephanie Robinson

Today was our second visit, and we’ll be back again. The trail is relaxing and we love seeing the animals. The kids enjoyed the trip today.

Margaret MacLeod Blackwell

Oatland wildlife was good. Only a few exhibits but that is understandable due to a recent tornado. The visitor center is beautiful! I recommend going for a quick trip and a nice walk.

Vicki Williamson

We've been to the Oatland wildlife center twice and haven't been disappointed. It is so much fun seeing the animals, feeding the fish and observing how settlers lived in the settler homestead area. The cabins, cane grinder, and wagon were all awesome to see. At only $5 admission per adult you can't go wrong.

Connie Wills

Such a great location. But the only animal we saw was the cougar and the birds. Guessing it was too hot for the other animals.

Sophia Sineath

Great trip if you love nature and animals. Fun with kids.

John Lloyd Newberry

Good place to walk and enjoy Nature's sounds of serenity. I enjoyed that there is a cabin with a window view of the wolves..

Eleanor Tyler

Walked the trail. Saw the farm animals. A portion is still closed due to the hurricane but having a place to bring the kids away from their phones is great. Everyone there is working so hard to get this location back to it's pre-hurricane status. It is also really inexpensive and they accept cards. Seashells are doing a fantastic job. They have sooo much patience. Thank you for signing the stories.

Cris Gobi

Loved it, better than I expected...make sure to being your comfy walking shoes and bug spray

Antonio Ramos

The kids loved it. And we were amused. Nice day for the walk..

Christina Smith

The kiddos.love going here to see the animals and picnic.

Lucy

Place is very nice. The walk is beautiful and there are lots of animals. One favorite was the owl and there were four different kinds of owls along the trail.

Anellshae Monarchy

My husband and I had soo much fun . We were surprised to see the collection of snakes that are native to GA. My favorite was the buffalo's at the end of the trail. I recommend to anyone wanting a tour just make sure to bring repellent and possibly an umbrella.

Stacey Hall

Our family enjoyed the long walks and the animal sitings. We enjoyed learning about the different wildlife, while enjoying the company of others with the same interests. The kids really enjoyed being able to be just kids!!!

Alma Calix

Very nice place for a walk and see wildlife. Clean and fun if you love nature!

stephanie king-peterson

Outstanding group of people, they will always try to answer any questions you have, it's like a second home, they make you feel very welcome.

Sunisa Burggraf

Great place to visit. Kids had lots of fun

Albert Center

Most of the animals weren't in viewing areas. We brought our grandson to see the animals but spent most of the day just walking. We didn't see bobcat, cougar, bison, or deer.

Erin West

We really enjoyed our trip to Oatland Island Wildlife Center. We were looking for something like this type of activity, specially for our daughter. We want to escape from the crowd from Miami, FL, so this was the perfect place to visit. First, the cost ($5 per person) was very affordable and inexpensive regarding the benefits received. Second, we walked through the trial while interacting with animals and nature. I recommend you to use sneakers because the trail is about one hour, also bring water and bug repellent. Finally, the staff was very polite and friendly despite most of the time you do not interact with them, just at the beginning when you entered into the park. Therefore, I highly recommend to visit this wonderful place for all above reasons, price, distance from Savannah, friendly staff, and interaction with animals and nature.

Shirlene Statham

Good experince, just parking was not optimal for elder people.

Mari Floyd

Great place for children and adults, very affordable, we'r enjoyed it very much and we'r wil definitely go back!! Another must when we visit from now on!!!

Pam King

Great nature walk. Kids enjoyed it.

Manda Isaacs

beautiful facility. they recently had a hurricane pass thru so some areas were not open. not for faint of heart, lots of walking and trails. nice for an overcast day and seeing animals!

cannotbfound

$5/person for a great walk and some cook animals. The inside snakes are just as cool as the outside ones. I really like the information each exhibit has on the animals in specific and general for their species.

Lisa Springer

Great for the family, money goes to helping animals, affordable.

Brian Wharton

Even during the rebuild after the tornado (still down 3 exhibits), we came down from Missouri and had a fantastic time! It was so much fun. The animals were so cool and it was really neat to be so close to the animals, my kids really enjoyed it.

Neil Carr

We had a great time at the Halloween Hike! Very friendly staff and they were great with kids of all ages. We'd be happy to go back.

Galaxia

I loved the entire experience! The staff was super nice and watching the animals was very interesting.

E Becker

Informative & interesting. Great walkways and trails throughout! Only $5 adults/$3 kids, worth it. *Bring bug spray to keep the gnats away* or be ready to buy it at the gift shop for $7 for a little bottle!

Eric Mills

My son loves toys place

Courtney Kruse

Great place! Staff were so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to talk with my kids, show them things and tell them about things. Not all the exhibits were open due to the tornado and to high winds the day we visited, but what we did see was great. If we are ever in the area again, we will visit again.

Tori Ryokiba Fust

My 3yo asks for "the animal park" all of the time. He loves the various animals and we know the trails by heart. Shanti, the farm, and the wolf pack are his absolute favorite exhibits. Would recommend especially when the weather gets cooler. The animals get really active.

ItsCheez Man

Amazing for something to do on a boring day Cheap prices

Brittany Dunbar

We had a great visit. The kids loved walking around and learning about the wildlife.

Crystal Angel

Starting my daughter's first school year in Pre-K here, what a wonderful opportunity for nature exploration

Sarah Lucas

Nice walking paths. Plus beautiful animals.

kit kat

It was so great we stayed there for 3 hours and next time we come here we will defently go again.

George Szraga

This place has so much potential. I was there this afternoon, before I paid to go in I asked specifically about what animals were on exhibit I was basically lied to. Unfortunately this wasn't a single event this was the second time. Keep in mind I had with me a baby a disabled senior and myself who was in an aircast. Needless to say walking was hot and painful, and the cherry on top was the fact that for the 2nd time they took payment without rendering service. Oatland island Is perpetuating a fraud. If the animals aren't on exhibit dont take admissions and close.

Amanda M

Great to see this place getting back into action after a rough few months. Took the kids to the trick or treat and saw the animals. We had a blast.

Travis Adkins

fun place to take your family

Leah Walser

Partial shaded walk to various exhibits. My Toddlers enjoyed it!

Dan Reger

Great trails and animal exhibits for the whole family.

Mary McCusker

I love taking my grandson out there. He likes seeing the animals. And I enjoy the time out there as well

Kimberly Bouquett

Great place to visit if you like nature. Beautiful walking trails. Some animals are still not back in their habitats due to damage from tornado earlier in the fall, but still worth the trip.

Kee Wee

Nice to pass some time and see a few animals..just wish they would be out more...and for Gods sake..give that poor cougar a bigger enclosure that's more of a natural habitat..that poor animal.

djinn38

I've loved this place since I was a kid. Seems like there used to be more than one animal to each enclosure, the animals looked lonely by themselves..

Shiro- z34

Place is awesome well maintained has a nice walking path to see all the animals

Joe Leonard

Cheap visit $5 adults $3 for kids. A lot of walking and maybe half of the outdoor animals weren't visable?? Still a neat place to see and will only take a few hours to see everything. We only saw staff inside the building and none anywhere around the outdoor animals. Quick stop if your passing through to Tybee Island.

little bit

It was really fun really interesting

Marlena Spearnock

Got destroyed by bugs but hey we went to Georgia in the middle of August. Had a blast!

Ashley Thrasher

Very small but super fun my kids love it

Desina Van

I love this place! First time there, and I'm thinking of getting a membership.

Larisa Moon

Great place for kids to run around. Wish they had more animals. Even petting area would be great.

Elizabeth Bauer

Family friendly environment, great for a day trip.

Erin Ocean

Fun relaxing and educational way to spend the day. Walk through nature and see Georgia's native wild animals up close. My guy pushed me through the paths easily enough in my wheelchair. Takes about an hour and a half to walk through the exhibits or longer if you really take your time. Definitely a fun place to see in Savannah!

Sheila Miller

I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was. I was disappointed that a lot of the animals were not on display. The petting area was nice.

Matt Tharpe

Always a great time in nature with animals and walking trail. They need help from volunteers to help clean up from all the major storms, the main facilities and grounds look great, yet we need to look beyond the grass and clean out or low burn the decaying limbs and trees.

Shanell Moffatt- Mitchell

I love this place ! I wish I got a closer picture of the buffalos

Julie Gonzalez

It wasn't expensive but I didn't see the animals it states it has... There was not one croc on site, no deer, no fox, no cougars and that was disappointing. The ambiance was ok but there were no animals.

Frank G

Must go here!! Family loves it!!! Went in September and was disappointed because it was closed due to tornado damage. Went back in December and they did an amazing restoration job. The damage that had occurred was obvious. Animals get close up to the glass. Great hiking walk (short and long), well set up with many animals to see. Yes that is the white wolf coming to say hello. Doesn't get much cooler than that!! Run by a school. Donations are well used.

Laurie Lawrence

Always a good experience. I just forgot bug spray for the mosquitos and they only carry gnat spray in the gift shop. And it was way to hot.
