Simply beautiful. Interesting history, wonderful and informative boat ride tour. Our family reunion group was welcomed and treated royally. It's easy to get around. Take your time to enjoy the gardens and the center there. We also enjoyed a delicious box lunch there set up for our family. We had our choice of Turkey ham or veggie wraps, chips and bottled water. Dessert was a large delicious cookie.

Chelsea Doyle

Gorgeous and fun place to visit! We've been here two different times on vacation and have yet to see everything. The ticket price is good for 7 days which is a great value if you live close, or can visit more than once on vacation. This is a nice place for anyone any age. There's even lots for little ones to see and do. We highly recommend and will be back.

Diane McDaniel

I love that paid admission is good for seven days, so you can explore different areas over several days. All of the volunteers and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The sculptures are stunning. A very beautiful place with lots of benches to enjoy peaceful views.

Gladys Wolfe

This is an absolute beautiful place to visit... whether you go in the summer and see all the flowers, ponds, statues and everything else they have to offer or at Christmas time and all the lights - not a place anyone should miss checking out. We went yesterday and my only complaint was that while taking the walking tour we could not hear our tour guide - they need to give them a headset that would amplify their voice enough so the entire group can hear what is being said. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it would have been nice to hear all she had to offer!

Kim Tartaglia

Beautiful landscaping and sculpture. Free concerts 3 times a week. Your ticket gives you 7 days access

Kristina Smith

Beautiful and peaceful grounds to stroll and admire. Recommend for art, botanical, history and bird lovers.

Brooke Palmer

My rating is for the annual 5k race they held on Sunday of Memorial Say weekend. They did a great job hosting. I’m working on running a 5k in every state and this crossed South Carolina off my list. The evening was super hot and sunny. The volunteers were great. My favorite was the encouragement I got from the lady right before the last water station. She kept me going! The gardens looked petty too through the swear running down my face!

Brian Kelly

I have been to many gardens in my life and this is one of the most beautiful. The comination of plants and sculpture is wonderful. There is also a small zoo of local wildlife to enjoy. I highly recommend this experience to all. Your ticket is good for a week.

Connie Taglieber

A must see! So much to see and do for the price. Friendly people, helpful and great food. Arts, history and animals. Loved it!

Subhadip Chatterjee

Wow ! What an amazing place to be.. my mom who is a botany student and enthusiast was blown away with the outstanding garden setup.. must visit again for me. Kudos to the visionaries Huntington !

Candy Gallaher

This glorious expanse of Southern Garden Charm and stunning american sculpture set off by fountains, pools, walkways in the shade and an incredible series of gardens and arboretum - is simply not to be missed! And if you love gardens and art - you can purchase a ticket that lets you re-enter for a whole week! We returned for the morning light on one day, the evening scents another day, and walks and two planned tours during the day. We've been here before, and it only gets better!

cj mat

Simply love this place!! It’s beautiful and if you love nature and flowers.. this is your place.

Renee Simmons

Beautiful environment during every season of the year!

Jeremy English

Butterfly house. Easily worth the $4 entry. Pretty magical place. We walked thru the zoo area, & it didn't feel like the classic zoo, which usually kinda bother me. Very well taken care of animals, lots of natural environment for them. Wonderful!

Andrew Wood

I've been visiting Brookgreen on an almost yearly basis for about ten years or so, and each time I've gone, I've had the pleasure of accompanying a friend or family member who has not yet experienced the gardens. The gardeners and employees behind Brookgreen Gardens' success and beauty are some of the most talented in their field, as they've been able to draw something so cohesively beautiful out of the land's rawness and wilderness. The region surely must be one of the US' more difficult climates for outdoor plant-tending, so the horticulturalists here deserve the highest praise and respect. Thanks for the experience!

Missy Watson

Brookgreen Gardens offers a great experience! Beautiful grounds, lots of sculptures, and a valuable history on Low Country culture. The staff are knowledge and very pleasant. The pontoon ride was a big hit with my family.

Michelle Lycett

Brookgreen Gardens is not just a garden.it has several different areas. The areas are the gardens which not only have plants and flowers it has fountains and sculptures. Some of the sculptures are in the gardens. Some are in buildings. There is the low country which has several animals and wildlife. It also has a butterfly house. There are several tours you can take. My husnand and I took the creek excursion which took us for a ride down the river where we saw the wildlife in the area. You definitely need at least 2 days at least if you want to enjoy it.

Jennifer Tilford

Beautiful relaxing gardens and sculptures. The short film gives a nice history before touring.

Jill East

Beautiful flowers and sculptures are all around you in every corner of the gardens. The zoo was really nice, and there is a shuttle to take you to different parts of the park.

ted smith

Can't say enough about how well laid out this place is. Well manicured. Very comfortable walk. Inspiring.

Chris Stillwell

Definitely could spend more than just one day walking here. There is a lot to see. Statues are amazing.

alex green

Incredible place with tons to see. Peaceful and fascinating, and well worth the $18 to get in. The creek cruise is also great if you want to put up a few extra dollars inside. The 5 p.m. excursion is perfect on a hot summer day.

Cathy Markee

This is such a great garden, so many sculptures and so much history. Well worth spending at least a day here. The food was great too!

Andrew Sink

Amazing sculpture garden! I spent several hours here, and still didn't see it all! Bring a camera, because you're going to want to take a lot of pictures!

Carlee Mcdaniel

What a beautiful place to visit! My husband and I had such a great day strolling through the gardens.

Heather Chavis

If you like nature walking and enjoy sculptures then this is the place for you. Staff is very friendly and they encourage kids to participate by giving them a paper for a scavenger hunt. My 3 year old was excited to do it and he got a pencil and ruler when he turned it in.

Joe Roche

Just beautiful. Wonderful sculptures and a magnificent garden.

Jana Stewart

Sculpture and gardens are remarkable. Free tours, the Mentor was quite entertaining when we could hear him. Wonderful lunch on the grounds and a sweet gift shop with something for everyone. An unforgettable experience, if we return to the area we will plan a second visit.

Michael Lumby

Must see . . World class sculptures & flowers ! !

Juliana Madej

Beautiful landscape and walking paths along lakes. Was previously a plantation for rice so some of the history of the land and the slaves is outlined along the way. With the botanical gardens, sculpture gallery, and zoo (along with butterfly exhibit for extra cost) there is much to do for the whole family, old and young.

Maribel Vazquez

The Gardens looks breathtakingly beautiful during the Holidays. The lights and candles make the place glow. It was such a romantic and lovely experience. I can't believe I had never gone before. Completely and extremely worth the price. It is something everyone should experience at least once in their life.

Kristen cooper-kucharik

What an amazing place and your ticket is good for 6 days its a great value

Kimberly Willey

I absolutely loved exploring the beautiful grounds at Brookgreen Gardens. I spent a few hours walking around and was constantly in awe of how many different things they have! Everything from trees to statues to a zoo! I highly recommend for a nice activity away from the busyness of the beach.

Carol

It was cold when we visited, in February. But there was so much beauty in these gardens we didn’t care. There was romantic history displayed throughout in the lovely sculptures and peaceful fountains. Enjoyed thoroughly!

Bradford Dake

A masterpiece garden! A peaceful, amazing place to visit. (Do so often, your tickets are good for 7 days.) A local and domestic farm animals zoo is also located on the 9,000 acre grounds. Across the street (highway 17) lies Huntington Beach State Park and Campground as well as the Atayla Homestead.

Madison Dance

Beautiful place. We spent about 6 hours enjoying it's beauty. We found a Groupon for the 2 of us for $20. The tickets are good for 7 days so you can come and go as you please. The butterfly House was really neat! All of the volunteers were very friendly. Robert who does the animals feeding tours was super cool. There are restrooms through out and you can fill up your waters at the water fountains, that was very convenient. The place was absolutely beautiful, definitely recommend!

Melissa Corey

My favorite...so beautiful. The evening concerts included in ticket price (that are good for 7 days) put this excursion over the top!

Jonathan Hill

Brookgreen Gardens is a Beautiful place to take your family and walk around. There are so many sculptures to see. Its a very beautiful place to go and visit. You wont be disappointed.

Ismael Olmeda

One of the best places to visit you learn about the history and the art and sculptures. It really is a beautiful place. The tickets are good for 6 consecutive days. You can not see it all in one day. The staff there are great.

Julia Porter

The number of statues is amazing, the old Live Oak trees are beautiful, and the zoo is a nice walk. History and nature absolutely surround you. Great for adults, not so much for children.

Mike Jarczynski

Beautiful! The ticket allows you to come back all week. You might want to plan at least a second trip because the place is huge! We enjoyed the boat ride, but be sure to get there early because tickets sell out. The butterfly exhibit is also worth the extra cost. We also loved the animal talk. Bring sun screen, bug spray, and a camera. Also strollers might be a good idea for toddlers.

Lori Smith

This place blew me away. I could have spent days wandering through the gardens. My son and husband even enjoyed it. The sculptures are amazing and so are the gardens. I recommend taking the boat tour. The guide was a lot of fun, and he talked about the old rice plantations. If possible I recommend spending at least two days here.

Kim Worrell

This is fun I don't care who you are! Beautiful setting with so many flowers, artwork, and sculpture that you can't see it all. They also have snack bars and a restaurant. Shuttle you around as well if you can't walk or are tired. And a zoo!

Shauna Gibson

Perfect way to spend the weekend. In every season, Brookgreen has been a favorite for me and my family. The landscape is beautiful and the statues are jaw dropping. Do not miss out on the opportunity to go to an event here, especially Night of a Thousand Candles.

Nelson D

$18 per adult, $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets are good to return for 6 days. You get to visit the sculpture garden (with strategically placed A/C cooled buildings) and the zoo. The trees in the area beautiful. The zoo is more of an injured animal reserve (nothing wrong with that) packed with horses, bulls, birds, the cutest river otters and foxes. The place is staffed with a whole lot of volunteers. A beautiful place to visit with the family, but you'll need to get creative to keep young ones entertained in the sculpture garden.

Marcus Mclean

This is a very beautiful and peaceful place to visit in general, but also has special events that are great. There is a little bit of everything here. I can't say enough about the gardens. The staff and volunteers do a great job. In the spacious and well-planned gardens and grounds, there are sculptures and poetry. There is a great deal of history here....some of the oak trees are over 200 years old, with limbs reaching to the ground, including a constitutional tree. There is a historical pontoon boat tour, as well as a small zoo and butterfly house. The Christmas lights are amazing and I would recommend them to everyone, however I would advise going earlier in the afternoon, and getting tickets ahead of time, because it is very popular. Some nice beaches are also in close proximity.

Michael Baldwin

One of the most beautiful spots in the world I think. Perfectly manicured gardens. Beautiful sculptures. Lovely little nooks to sit and relax. The cafe is nestled in the middle of garden. Fresh local Charleston tea serves daily, excellent sandwiches and scones. Outdoor seating, tables and rocking chairs taking in the tranquil view of the beautiful garden. Summer is WAY too hot for me but fall and spring is wonderful!

Ron Lyman

A must see during blossom season . Prepare to do lots of walking A shuttle is available to take you to different locations in the complex.zoo tours etc. 1 entry fee gives you 6 days entry. Great deal! Must see

Lowell Boggs

A fun attraction if you like the outdoors, sculpture, zoos, butterflies - and don't mind walking a lot to see them. There is also a tour of the rice plantation - at least what's left of it - with historical audio naration and songs sung during the 1840s. The Spanish moss hanging from the trees gave a distinctly mysterious character to zoo/plantation part of the trip. The sculptures by Annie Huntington were marvelous.

cheryl rendino

A must see location. Lots of history and the live oaks are breathtaking. Can't wait to explore further. The river boat ride was very interesting learning about life on the plantation.

Terry Glass

Entry price seemed a little high but found out ticket was good for entire week. Beautiful, well kept, free tours. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Had a great time but just too much to see in one day. We wanted to return, but had to return to Ohio the next day.

Harley Joe

Always beautiful. I have been going their all my life and still amazed by the beauty.

Jessica Holliday

Very well layed out. The landscaping is beautiful, and the sculptures are great.

Shawn Lund

Very peaceful place, lots of walking. Well kept grounds. Animals are Interesting as well

Belinda Sisk

We loved it.. We got rained out late afternoon but still enjoyed and our ticket is good to return if we still had any days left..

Patrick Murphy

This place is amazing! Filled with history. The sculptures are amazing. The plants and trees draw you in. Honestly you could spend several days taking it all in. We came a few years ago during Christmas and this place is a must see during the holidays. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and didn’t see everything. We did catch the bird and art exhibit and it was awesome. My favorite is the graphite work. I posted some pics from the exhibit. This place is great for the whole family. Really clean. You never know what you might see around the next corner. I highly recommend this place for sure. We will be back.

James Barr

I realized I rated Brookgreen 7 years ago just never wrote a review. Words truly cannot describe the experience you will have here. A great place to escape the busy tourist crowds of the Beach. All I can say is just go and experience it.

Sherrill Schaefer

It is definitely a must see if you're in the area. Whether vacationing or a local resident wanting a beautiful, historic place to stroll, Brookgreen Gardens is an enchanting place to spend time.

Kyle Thackston

Lots of things to explore and fun for the kids. Also they have a boat tour that was really neat

joehammer75

Admission was around $22 per adult. The ticket is good for several days also. The grounds can be explored for some time and shouldn't be rushed. Take your time or you will miss hidden little gems around a corner.

Judith Dyda

Absolutely beautiful! Be sure to take the docent tour. It's fascinating and extremely helpful. Make sure you schedule enough time. This is definitely an all day place (we actually went twice because the tickets are good for multiple days).

Kristin Chan

Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Easy to spend the entire day there

Shawn Hughes

Wonderful place to go. Beautiful flowers and sculptures spread out through the property. Has bike trails. If you have problems walking they have wheelchairs for terrain. Go on trekker and travel either north or south of property and find out about the history of family. Drive over in time for guided tour free of animal attractions. Also a butterfly house. Best to go on cooler cloudy day rather then 100 deg. Winter they have night of 1000 candles. A must see

Destina Cuffee

Great relaxing place to visit. They had many statues, local animals and beautiful gardens.

cheryl cepeda

OMG first, this place is huge and no exaggerating. The people that work there are super nice, helpful and informative. I learned allot in just my first trip. When you purchase admission in, it's good for 7 days. This is a deal and makes sense. The small zoo they have is really cool and the sculpture garden is breathtaking. I'm looking forward to visiting many more times, it captured part of my ❤️

Lynda Domincovich

Beautiful gardens and sculptures. Very peaceful. There are many surprises around each hedge or wall.

gary carr

Wonderful historic outdoor sculpture botanical gardens. Great place for people that love art . 45 min to an hour from Myrtal Beach

Gail Stone

Great place! Lots of land and history! Nice grounds! Sculptures are beautiful!

Richard Cummings

If I had only stayed in the gardens I would have given this 5 stars. They were absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. Out visit took a pretty big turn south when we stopped to eat at the Courtyard Cafe. We should have just eaten before we came. There were two women working in it and they were just unbelievably rude to everyone who came up to order. They were out of several things which is fine, I understand running low when it’s a busy day. Instead of apologizing and letting us (and everyone else who ordered) know they were out of something they just aggressively said “We’re out of that.” No apology or even a rundown of what they DID have available still. One guy tried to order 3 different things and after getting the same “We’re out of that” response for each he finally asked, “Okay what are you not out of?” The response he got was so snippy and rude he just walked away and didn’t get anything. I’m sorry if they are having a bad day but the customer is not who they should be taking it out on. Their horrible attitude almost ruined the rest of the trip. We went to the animal zoo after and although it was pretty neat, I felt like a lot of the animals were being held in way to small of enclosures. There were 2 big bird exhibits in particular that were quite large and covered in netting. But they were full of probably 50 birds. These birds probably fly miles and miles normally but instead had this enclosure that although “large” it wasn’t even big enough for them to really spread their wings. All of them just stood there motionless as people walked by. Have you ever seen a bird sit motionless for 10 minutes in the wild? They were clearly struggling mentally due to being so confined for who knows how many years. The otter exhibit even had an information sign that said “otters can use up to 50 miles in a single year for their habitat” and yet their enclosure was maybe 50 feet long.

Ben Mierzwa

Beautiful gardens and amazing activities. A must see for all ages.

Yvette Williams

A WORK OF ART. EXHIBITION DISPLAYS IMAGNATION. EXQUISITE CHARM. Simple words can never describe the IMPACT THIS GARDEN can transform you. Breathtakingly magnificent. POWERFUL

Mike Simon

Very nice. Price was fair as well. I will return again this beach trip. Odd we never have gone before. Even the kids had fun. 4, 7 & 8. If your going to beach you must try this. It was not to hot and grounds are great!

Deborah Johnson

Beautiful gardens, but tiring because there's so much to see and this place is huge...make at least half a day of it. Reasonably priced and has place to eat

Hammer J. Helmer

Amazing grounds, kept up by an army of dedicated volunteers... not just beautiful gardens but over 2 THOUSAND(!!!) sculptures. Admission ticket is actually good for 7 days, and it's so large that you can spend most of the day or come back. Very reasonably priced admission ($18 per person) and the kind of place you could visit multiple times a year.

amanda franklin

This huge gardens area was once 4 rice plantations that the Huntingtons donated to the state for a very lovely park with a small zoo and the Waccamaw River. And even though between the lateness of season and Dorian blowing a lot of blooms and branches off, an excellent place to visit! Bonus

Nancy Fogle

Even in the rain these gardens are beautiful! The sculptures, the zoo, the gardens....all really something to see when in the Myrtle Beach area! The Azalea Cafe has great food. I had their signature sandwich and really enjoyed it!

Anissa Runde

We have an annual pass and love it. A nice walk, beautiful scenery and great lunches. The veggie wrap at the outdoor Cafe is my guilt free favorite.

Michael Schwind

A beautiful garden with lots of history. The complimentary tour shared the history of the garden and some of its statues and helped to orient us so we could enjoy the garden at our own pace later. The Live Oak Allée was especially memorable. There are many things for children to do at Brookgreen Gardens as well. My family will definitely return when we are in SC again.

Traci Bennett

Here’s an extensive review after spending two days learning about and visiting this joint: Gardens are great, the excursions are hit and miss, and the staff are sometimes great sometimes rude. This guy named Bill was awesome. The animal exhibit guy was great as well. If you have kids and are going for a family day or something, be advised, they start putting animals away around 3 pm. So go around 1, catch the animal show, and then head out if the Zoo is what you wanna see. There’s a fun little park too that our kids liked with play buildings and storybook stuff. Also, the word “zoo” isn’t quite the term I’d pick, it’s more of a wildlife exhibit than a zoo. There are some otters, foxes, birds, and a couple other local critters and domestic animals like sheep and chickens. It’s all expensive if you’re just going for the day. Also there’s no way to get your moneys worth in just one day. I suppose I’ve been spoiled by Hopeland Gardens In Aiken, SC which is free and also has koi ponds. Anyway, be prepared to pay for pretty much any extra activities. And eat before you come. The cafe was underwhelming. Also, I paid to go on one excursion to see a historical plantation. The plantation was non existent, just old empty grounds and some woods. There was a cemetery that was Essentially just a better maintained version of any of the many old family cemeteries you’d find in the woods in the Carolinas anywhere. Also be prepared to walk. A lot. The maps aren’t all that helpful so just ask someone if you can find a nice staff member, which some are and some aren’t. We ran into some very strict and overbearing employees who were seemingly annoyed that we had kids with us. If it’s not kid friendly I get it, no problem. However, they should say that and be clear that children are frowned upon. And hey, my kids are pretty mellow as far as kids go so. That was a bit much for me. That being said: The gardens are beautiful and there are birds, squirrels, and lizards and things like that running around. I just was afraid of getting snapped at by testy staff and it was hard to figure out who was gonna be a jerk and who was going to be sweet and fantastic. I’d imagine their employee dynamic behind the scenes must be interesting. 50% amazing kind people, 50% Barney Fife type grumps. I wouldn’t go there again, but I guess we had an alright time.

Laura Newman

Beautiful gardens. Pay for one day, ticket is good for a week. Which is nice because you need more than one day to see it all

Mimi Howard

Brookgreen is a "must not miss"! If you care at all about art, you will love wandering through the expansive and immaculate gardens while seeking out the finest examples of American sculpture anywhere. Don't miss the restaurant either...yum!

Melinda Waller

This is a wonderful place to get away from the stresses of the world. Still have not done the entire place, but thankfully I got a membership.

David Jones

Historical non profit sculpture gardens and natural habitat. If in the area this is a must do. Plan two days well worth it. I'm not the best photographer. Didn't take a lot of photos because it distracts you from enjoying the true beauty.

Sherri Mitchell

I took too many photos today to post. Brookgreen garden is amazing this time of year. They have just extended their hours for spring, so I spent the entire evening walking the Spanish Moss covered pads and taking photos of all of the flowers that are in bloom. It's a great place to spend a day relaxing and admiring the sculptures and the beautiful landscape.

Amanda Burkhead

I loved this place. The price is great and your ticket is good for 6 days. The place is huge, so most people wouldn't be able to see everything in one day. We got there and a free walking tour was about to start. The guide told us about the history of the gardens and about many of the statues there. In addition to all of the beautiful plant life, this place is an enormous sculpture garden as well. We also saw a lot of wildlife, including baby deer, enormous grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies, and cranes. We definitely want to go back in December for their candle nights and to walk all of the trails and visit the zoo and butterfly house, which we didn't have time for on this visit. Some of the attractions have a small extra fee, but it's all very reasonably priced. They were even doing a free concert that evening, but we were too tired from walking around in the heat to attend. We will definitely be back!

mike brutosky

Beautiful landscape, wonderful art and architecture . Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. And all this for a more that reasonable price.

Kathryn Melton

Favorite place in Myrtle Beach. We enjoy walking through the garden and discovering new pieces or reading something we haven't before. Well kept and manicured. If you've never been it is a must.

Dieter Motz

Absolutely the finest outdoor gardens. More than you can see in a day.

Charlett Busigin

Beautiful grounds with nice walking paths and a tram. Many gardens, sculptures, a cute children's' garden, special exhibits, lakes, a zoo and more. The gift shop is well stocked but a little pricey.

Patricia Nemeth

Acres and acres of beautiful gardens, flowers, trees and sculptures. Be prepared to walk through carefully manicured areas. Only disappointment was the old lady who guided our walking tour of 20 people; one of the managers shared that she refused to wear a mic and so, couldn't hear what she was saying. She said she'd quit first. We walked around for 2 hours appreciating many vistas and total contribution of one family.

Matthew Smith

So much to see and do. Plan to spend the whole day or you won't be able to see it all. Don't rush, pause and watch birds, bugs and frogs enjoying this beautiful place, too.

Kalyn Steele

Absolutely my favorite place in Horry County. I could spend all day every day here and never get tired of it. It's absolutely beautiful, the staff and volunteers seem to genuinely love what they do, and it's just so peaceful. They do a ton of different exhibits and events throughout the year. And if you're in town around Christmas I cannot tell you enough how magical their 'Night of a Thousand Candles' is. It is literally my favorite night of the entire year; and if you're looking for something to get you into the Holiday spirit, this is just the thing.

Edlyn Amancio

Very beautiful atmosphere, it has mini zoo. And different sculptures. Very cleaned, friendly people, but there shoviner shop is too expensive.

Lorraine M H

I went in kind of skeptical but I was impressed. Most people come for horticulture or Art. The land was gorgeous. Our tour guide Sally gets 5 stars. The zoo was not all that. The sculptures were amazing!! There is a lot of history there. I definitely would go again and take more time. We were in the area just 3 days but the ticket is good for 7 days.

jim brosen

We walked the zoo and it was a long hot trail. Thank goodness there are benches. Didn't see alligators in the lake.

NameLikeNobodyElse

This is such a nice garden to tour. It had a free tour guide that made it great, too. Sh ed explained about the old rice plantation & statuary. The Christmas lights were up, too. One ticket pays for a week of visits. I'd actually consider planning more of my vacation around visiting this garden for a week than the too touristy Myrtle Beach.

Chloe Peterson

I’ve been coming here since I was five years old. It’s such an amazing experience to bring my child her now. Beautiful experience, exactly care takers, great time!

Lisa B

We absolutely loved this place! We weren't expecting it to be so large and have so much to do! I fell in love with the bird aviary in the low country zoo, while my travel companion loved all of the statues/art in the gardens. We spend about 4 hours here and still didn't see it all!

Donna DeLuca

So much to love...just GO! This remarkable place is devoted to the conservation of local flora and fauna as well as cultural preservation of the art of sculpture. It is historically, environmentally, culturally and artistically relevant. My husband and I visit as a couple, but it's profoundly family-friendly. Plus it's a true bargain: the $20 car admission allows unlimited visits for 7 consecutive days! Their educational programs are wonderful as well. GO!

Maria Klein

One of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. Amazing fountains and sculptures organically fit into the landscape. The zoo is also interesting (not only for children but for adults too). And as a bonus you can go back to the gardens during the week from purchasing tickets

Justin Barkley

Do not buy tickets for this place unless you are totally sure you can go. They will not cancel a online transaction that was made moments ago. The website has no warning the online tickets are nonrefundable if not used. We are filing complaints with the better business bureau.

Billie Harvey

Excellent place to shop and visit. Fantastic art and excellent gift shops. A must see place.

Steve Phillips

The history of this plantation is just amazing! From the rice fields to acres and acres of beautiful trees, sculptures and flowers. I'm so glad we were able to experience it. Give yourself more than one day because the tickets is good for 6 days!

Barbara Fetter

Beautiful place. I visit every time I am in Myrtle Beach. The grounds, statuary are enjoyable. Love all the different opportunities to take tours that share the history of this part of South Carolina.

Jeremy O'Leary

Naturally beauty well preserved, all staff are also very informative...

G M

Amazing place! We felt like we were in a dream with beauty everywhere we turned. Definitely worth a visit

Paul Bohn

Amazing! The sculpture gardens were incredible to experience and the zoo had just the right amount of animals in natural exhibits! Will definitely be back.

Darlene Sigala

Absolutely beautiful. One of the most elegant Sculpture Gardens I have ever seen. I have been many times. One day is Not enough to see. A ticket is good for a week. The Cafe' is outstanding food. A must see if in the area. The Store you will be delighted.

Emily Gossett

Absolutely beautiful place. We fell in love with it the first time we went and immediately bought a family membership. The people and grounds are lovely and it’s never been very crowded when we’ve gone. Excellent events as well. Highly recommended.

Kris House

Simply stunning. This easily was my favorite part of our trip to Myrtle Beach this year. About a 30-minute drive from the tourist area/hotel strip. National Historical site.Took the riverboat tour and learned about the history of the place. Can't cover everything in one day... its huge! Lots of sculptures throughout the grounds. Upkeep was unreal.. everything was meticulously manicured and beautiful. If you like nature, this is a must-see!

Kenneth Fattorosso Jr

Outstanding value for the money! Beautiful huge area to walk and tons of scenic attractions. Happy wife = lots of adult time!

Melody Mazurek

There are no words to describe the beauty of this place. This is a must see for everyone. I've never experienced the combination of exquisite art and beautiful grounds such as this before. I stood in awe and amazement of the beauty around me. I will go again and again.

Stephen Douhne

Really amazing at a must do if you're in the area make sure to go on the boat trip and check out the zoo for the kids

Shannon Lane

What an incredible place. If you're a nature and or natural lover this is an incredible place for variety. Sculptures and beautiful flowers abound!! Worth the stop.

Marie Tudor

A beautiful place with plenty to do. Will probably take three days to view it all. Good for families with older children.

Alex Artsikhovsky

Love it. Beautiful, amazing, charming, mysterious. 1 day there is definitely not enough.

Adair Jensen

This is an amazing community resource. It is a wonderful place to see horticultural and artistic beauty. And the animals offer even another dimension. The educational opportunities are endless. Thank you to the staff, donors and volunteers who make this such a tremendous visitor experience.

Beautiful!! Brookgreen gardens is amazing on it's own. The flowers and scenery are beautiful all on its own and then Brookgreen Gardens does all of these spectacular events that make it that much better. Keep track of all the upcoming events because there's always something new.

Mjolnier Odinson

Gorgeous landscaping and amazing sculptures. You can easily spend an entire day here so book yourself at least a full morning or afternoon. Great way to get away from Myrtle Beach for the day for something different.

Lance Geissinger

Try and go multiple days. There is so much to see and the tickets are good for 7 days. The sculptures are awesome, flowers beautiful, animals amazing. We were there during the summer concert series so every night they had a concert and food trucks. It was great.

Charles Barhite

Very beautiful gardens and exquisite sculptures, we will be back again next time we are in town. With the zoo it makes it the perfect place for the whole family.

Rebecca Boncheck

Definitely worth taking time to enjoy. Many different area like the zoo, low country and welcome center with free tram service to each area. So much to see and 7 day bounce back tickets let you go back if you have time. Exhibits in the welcome center change regularly and many seasonal events. Something for everyone to enjoy here.

Lesley Creatura

Absolutely beautiful! Must see gardens & sculpture. All of the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Tickets are good all week, so I suggest splitting it into 2 mornings during Summer. During Fall it's easier to do it in 1 day. Found a gorgeous pair of egrets in the gift shop for my garden.

The Neil Diamond tribute band was horrible

Brookgreen Gardens is an awesome place! The grounds are simply beautiful and the staff are incredibly hospitable! I have been several times and return every year for Night of a Thousand Candles! I highly recommend visiting! You won’t regret it

Bill Tapp

A great place to spend a day. The sculptures are wonderful for art lovers and the gardens are wonderful for flower lovers. A perfect combination. The boat ride is also a must. Very relaxing and informative.

Jennifer Schaefgen

Love the gardens. Such a tranquil place! Kids love the boat tour and it's very informative.

Janice Brady

Always a beautiful day - anytime of year. The grounds are stunning and the special events they hold, especially the Night of a Thousand Candles, is truly spectacular. Everyone visiting the area should visit Brookgreen.

Jon DeLong

Beautiful place with impressive statues. Wear comfy shoes cause it's quite a hike through the many sections. Expected more flowers throughout but was certainly not disappointed.

Tina Shauf

Take advantage of the 6 or 7 day pass always so much to see. If it's your 1st or 10th time always a different experience. Love it.

Nathan Johnson

Truly an amazing place! Quiet, peaceful landscape with ancient trees and phenomenal sculptures.

Xochitl Koppelmeyer

What a spectacular place!!! Their sculpture collection is one of the best I've ever see ! Beautiful craftsmanship. If I lived nearby I would be a member. Quite extraordinary and peaceful. Kudos to all who keep this alive!

Carol Swanson

Gorgeous gardens, such a quiet day it was perfect! No crowds ,interrupted pics, or loud groups!! Can't wait to go back!!

Jerry Worth

It's a beautiful place to spend the day or two so many statues to see so peaceful and quiet a lot of nice things to see there great place to go so go the people really nice there

Simon Bate

Absolutely delightful gardens with sculpture by Anna Hyatt Huntington and many others, late 19th century to contemporary. There is also a Low Country cultural center. We took the short (40 minute) river tour, which was interesting and beautiful.

Ginger Johnston

This was very nice. It's one of my cuz and her boyfriend's favorite spots. It's a whole day walking around. I know they had a gift shop, think they had a place to get snacks. It would be a nice place to have a wedding.

Angela Wilkins-Springs

Beautiful way to spend a day. Many aspects to enjoy. Interested in history? Want to learn about low country plants and trees? Desire to understand sculpture? I can recommend a docent tour. If you'd prefer a gentle stroll, to look and maybe sit and simply admire - this is a perfect place.

mick black

Very nice sculptures and low country zoo. A really nice feature is that tickets are good for 7 days. I was able to go to the zoo, leave, then come back the next day to see the garden and sculptures.

Yari Eric Wakneen

Absolutely love this place. From the zoo exhibits to the gardens, this place has everything for a fun day. Best part is that your pass is good for 7 days, so you can come back multiple times in a week to see everything.

Sandra Deiana

Lovely place to get relax and inspiration. I went for the second time to attend a medal sculpture workshop into the studio, and I'll go next year. Love it!

C M

Gorgeous and quiet. Brookgreen has the premier collection of American Figurative Sculpture. We are always seeing wildlife roaming about, wild turkeys, alligators, owls. A perfect place to take a date or a family. Great cafe, I love the she crab soup.

Tom Rayburn

Botanical and sculptural hidden gem near Myrtle Beach. Include it in your travels.

Laurelei Black

Gorgeous! Every bit that we were able to see in our three hours was breathtaking. Your ticket buys you seven days worth of access. Wish we had realized that at the beginning of our visit to the area. We would have started here and come back several times!!!

Zay P

Loved it. Employees are very friendly, it's very clean and beautiful really easy to spend a day getting some exercise lol

Jon Heard

The gardens are fabulous. The sculptures and Flora are well documented. There must be 300 sculptures, 20 water elements, live oaks, Magnolias...it's a really beautiful setting.

Boris Suarez

This is a magical place. If you are near you should definitely visit and take the tour. This is without a doubt the best garden we have ever seen.

Lucil Phillips

Their shuttle bus system doesn't work, or not available at all. They can't seem to explain straight to me. You need to be willing walk miles!! The map suck as it's unrealistic. It's longer than it seems. Add-on excursions with additional cost. Maybe it was hot, so some of the staffs and volunteers are not helpful.

Vincent Tripi

Very large open garden venue. Many different plants and statues to sight see. As well as art galleries, sculptures, and a small zoo area on the other side of the gardens. Definitely a recommended place to visit for a day trip.

kathleen chapman

They have cut way back on blooming flowers and it has become more perennial type things , because I think it's cheaper for them.. The place is beautiful, no doubt..., but seems to lack the beauty of days gone by..when they had millions of flowers always blooming... still worth it.. I just remember how it used to be.. Enjoy

Helen Miller

Great place, great prices , great food and wonderful waiters and waitresses.

Michael Hill

A magical place. I'm sure that certain times of the year are better than others, but we've been twice in the summer. It's a must see.

Eric Stirling

Beautiful place, kids loved it! Could spend all day looking for all the statues and probably still not find them all. Only thing that bothered us was that the lady at the entrance refused to take our change. Was $36, was going to pay a $1 in quarters and she told us that they don't take change and made us break our $100. I didn't realize change wasn't money?

Martin Lightsey

Don't miss the current Ramey sculpture exhibit that ends this month. Wonderful variety by very skilled sculptors.

cathy mccarthy

This place is amazingly beautiful. We rode our bikes in from the Murrells Inlet bike path. You have to leave your bikes near the parking lot and walk through the gardens and zoo so bring your walking shoes. But you can ride bikes on the road from the gardens to the zoo- anywhere a car can go. Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting and an amusing story teller!! The sculpture throughout the park is stunning. Great experience! Highly recommend!

Barbara Depalmer

Outside of Myrtle Beach. Beautiful and lots to look at. At the time I was visiting Wilmington. N.C.

Marjorie Moran

Love this place. A beautiful set of sculpture gardens and fountains to walk through. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Pamela Rogers

Can't say enough good about this place. Beautiful all around. You have miles of ocean. Marsh as far as the eyes can see. Fresh water pounds, four or five hundred bird species visiting every year. Also camping enthusiasts love this place. Mike the naturalist is a great guy and a wealth of information if you are lucky enough to meet up with him. I believe their are walks going on almost daily in the summer to help address some of your questions involving what is in the park. Everyone working in the park is friendly and helpful..

Jim Keys

Beautiful gardens. This was such a relaxing day. I'd highly recommend a day or two here......
