I took my six-year-old in my eight-year-old daughter there they loved it. we paid for the Safari tour but the line was like an hour long it took 45 minutes to get us on the bus. But it was a great place we had a blast but I spent $125 on 4 of us but listen when you have children you know you cannot make them memories they love that place ❤️.

Great place to go with toddlers (ages ranges from 3 months to 5 years old). Enjoyed the Safari, was just about the right length for them. They liked throwing food to the animals and getting food for themselves at the snack bar.

A absolute blast if you love animals. The safari ride was a great time despite the heat. The line moves very quick and the staff are very friendly and well educated. All the pens were clean and the animals very well kept. The Reptile room was very cool with the center of it for educational shows. You can also touch a ball python in there as well as a baby alligator. The petting zoo is a must if you have little kids. The gift shop is a decent size and the prices are very reasonable.

Awesome place to spend the day. Very little shaded areas, so come prepared with frozen water bottles, hats, and sunscreen for hot days. Enjoyed the safari tour through the animal grounds. Food is very reasonable there, though there are plenty of covered picnic areas if you want to pack your own food. Appreciate that there are playgrounds next to all the picnic areas for kids who need to burn some energy. Grounds are really spread out, so be prepared for LOTS of walking. Lots of unpaved roads/walkways so make sure you have a sturdy stroller if bringing one. It was too hot/humid, and being very pregnant, I just couldn’t make it all the way around the park. Definitely recommend visiting on a day with milder weather if possible.

Love Lake Tobias. My daughter had so much fun. You can interact with the goats and the camel/llamas. It’s a lot of walking but worth every minute. The safari ride was so much fun, getting up close and personal with the animals. Will be going back soon.

I would rate 5 stars except there was no warning to leave the stroller behind. Every walking path is stone which makes it a bit tricky and will jolt your kids around. Other than that, the experience was great, had fun with the family and would definitely do it again, but without the stroller.

Great experience being up close and personal with wildlife. There's no words to describe what it's like hand feeding buffalo! It's very clean, the staff is well educated and personable, and admission and food prices are very affordable! I was there twice in 3 months and I will return again. I wish it was less than two hours away, but the drive was worth the adventure!

This place is great for all ages. Kids will definitely love to see the animals. The safari ride is a great way to gain some knowledge and see some pretty cool animals! And you can't beat the price for what it includes!

50 bucks to get the family of 4 in and that includes the bus tour. The animals are well distributed throughout the park and easy to find. Petting zoo maybe the best part about it as there is TONS of goats/sheep/deer and a horse to feed. Recommended HIGHLY to anyone looks for a cheaper fun day. Think it's kinda "off" that you have to buy food 6$-10$ bucks to feed the giraffes!

Love Lake Tobias! Great spot to take the entire family for a day of fun. Alot of picnic areas to enjoy your food which you are permitted to bring. The safari is top notch, the giraffes are amazing, and the reptile show is a great experience. Our son loves the petting zoo too. Would highly recommend this place to any family.

Awesome variety of animals. Very reasonable prices! Military discounts. Best during weekdays when its not too hot 70-90°F. Animals seem sluggish when the temperatures rise and that may take away from your experience. I highly recommend this.

No ordinary zoo! Awesome with the safari ride and feeding animals there and in the petting zoo. Be careful the goats know when you have food, but very fun with my brother and his friends! Act like a kid and see tons of animals at this awesome park in middle of nowhere PA! Huge park, leave more than a few hours to explore!

For what it is, it can't be any better. Only big name animals that its missing is the elephant and rhino. The petting zoo is a blast for little ones, running around inside the pen with the goats and sheep. The safari ride is a blast but not the type of safari you imagine on the African savanna. The animals are a mix of exotic cattle, bison, elk, deer, llamas and emus but still fun to go on.

Took the family to visit and had a decent time. I would give full 5 stars but I personally didn't like how some of the enclosures weren't very clean.. also waiting 2+ hours in 80-90° with kids for a safari isn't that fun. It was really over crowded, they had numerous big groups the day we went.

Definitely an enjoyable place for all ages. They have so many different types of animals, a petting zoo, safari and much more. You can buy lunch there or bring your own. It is definitely a must do/must see for all. We go a few times a year always worth it. Wear your sunscreen!

Great. Very nice place for families. Food is good, safari is nice, employees are very friendly and huge parking space. Price was reasonable and you can bring your own food which was nice. Plenty of restrooms here and there and clean. But a few things want to make a comment. First, no shade/canopy when you ride a safari tour. It is hot and humidity under direct sun light. Keep the hat on for your kids and sun cream, please take a portable handheld fan. Wish they could add a shade roof or canopy on top of the bus for not only visitors but also drivers. Second, not enough directs and/or signs. When you enter the park through ticket booth, there is no sign where to walk for safari. No map at front. I walked through here and there 10 mins and found the way for safari. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Well they really outdid themselves, way way better then wben i was a kid. They updated everything and have so many exotic animals that are really interesting to observe. You can hand feed most animals there. The safari bus ride along with tour guide is fun because you can learn about them as well as being up close an personal with them. Animals walk right up to the bus and you can pet them and feed them. Drinks and food are cheap compared to most places and if you never been here, and want to take a family trip or with your significant other. I recommend going.

This was such a nice time with the family and relatives. The kids enjoyed both feeding animals on the Safari and checking out the exotic animals at the zoo. They also enjoyed petting the alligator and snake at the Reptile Exhibit. Finished off the nice hot day with some ice cream is a win-win-win. You will really enjoy this one!

Beautiful park located in Halifax. Safari tours on an open-top bus every twenty minutes or so. Amazing place to take young children. They have a nice petting zoo with goats and other small animals

The price was excellent for the experience. We waited an acceptable amount of time for the safari ride. It was fun to feed the animals. We're we're able to view a wide variety of animals. The giraffes were my favorite. (Not apart of the safari ride). We were able to visit them at feeding time. There is a great reptile house and petting zoo. We didn't eat at the park. So I don't know what the food was like.

It's a nice, clean place. It's a decent size and the price is fantastic, 8 dollars for the standard walk around the park and 15 for the walk and safari tour package. It's great for kids and fun for adults as well, if you like animals. Their petting zoo is mostly pygmy goats which left a little to be desired but was still fun and the goats are pretty cute. There's a nice variety of animals from all over the world to look at, it's not as large or varied as a major zoo, but the pricing easily makes up for it. Pavilions are available to bring your own food, playground areas are also nearby for the children as well as a fishing area. All in all it's a fun and inexpensive trip.

I've been coming here since I was a child, and have made it tradition to bringing my own kids. This place is awesome, the prices are very reasonable, food is good, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There are a ton of different animals to interact with. Petting zoo, a safari bus tour... and you can feed and pet the animals while on it. Gift shop, playground and pavilions. Bathrooms are always decent and lots of shade for sunny days. Love this place.

Really cool place!! Money was right, we did the safari ride on the bus, amazing, I forget her name but she has some purple in her hair, she was the driver, she did an excellent job, and had a "dad joke" for just about every stop she made. Well done. Not too big, not too small of a place. Didnt tire us out walking it. You can boat and fish there also. We live little over an hour away, we did it as a day trip, it was perfect. Keep up the good work.

It's one of the neatest places I've ever visited. The price is extremely affordable (15$ a person including the safari) and the experience is unforgettable. They have a good variety of animals, but again, your safari trip is something you can't get anywhere else. This is a great place for kids and adults! My 10 month old son was free. It's either below 2 or 1 where the kids enter for free.

Such a fun day! My son had a blast seeing the animals and especially loved the petting zoo! We got beef and bison burgers which were pretty decent. The Mac and cheese and hot dogs were excellent. It's a small enough park that it's easy to walk it in 2-3 hours, plus an hour-ish for the Safari ride.

Mam what a wonderful experience!! Not just for me and my wife but my sons as well. All of the animals looked beautiful. The property was well kept. The staff were excellent. Our tour guide on the safari trail was excellent (even with the super corny jokes) I was against going or should I say a bit apprehensive towards going just because of the ride gettin Baltimore but it was WELL WORTH IT! We will probably make this a every year trip.

Great value for the activity! My son enjoyed the safari part the best, where you go on a roofless bus and drive around and look at deer, llamas, bison, and other cattle. There are sections that aren't paved and just have rocks or gravel which makes it a little tough for strollers, but it is still doable. They have several varieties of primates, and the reptile room was very cool too!

I was nervous when we pulled in and there was a line of cars waiting to park, but the park was laid out well with plenty of walking space and areas to view the animals. It seemed as though the animals had nice living quarters and were generally happy! They all eat well, that's for sure! The kids all loved it, and slept well :)

More than expected. Nice safari in the middle of Pennsylvania.... somewhere in the woods North of Harrisburg. Feed a giraffe. See the monkeys, a lion, a tiger, the gators and a playset to boot. The safari vehicles are improvised from school buses with the tops removed. The longest convertible vehicle I've ever been in. Nice people work here.

Lake Tobias really seems to care about the happiness of their animals. It's a very interesting place to see a lot of wildlife with detailed plaques that tell you about them. The Safari is one of the neatest parts of visiting, allowing you to ride in a bus without a top and feed the wildlife that come right up to you and eat out of your hand. There are indoor areas (museum, reptile exhibit) as well as tons to see outdoors.

But I planned this day out with her to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park and we both had a great time. It was a nice drive out and the park was well laid out and kept. Amazing place that my family and I have been going to for years. 700ish animals in the park. Petting area and safari ride where you can touch elk, buffalo, lamas, and many more. Staff is super nice and so are the grounds. They have lions, tigers and bear.... But you cant touch them. Great place for kids.

So much fun for kids and adults. I was surprised for sure. I didn't want to go at all, thought it would be beyond boring. I was waaay wrong. Animals are all adorable and don't skip on the Safari tour. Beautiful animals and feeding them right out of the Safari vehicle is an experience in itself that you don't want to miss. Price of admission isn't too bad and plan on being there for 3-4 hours at least.

Visited this past weekend with family and a few friends. Overall we all enjoyed most of the park. The safari tour was awesome, Sara our tour guide was great. The kids loved the petting zoo. So why only ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️? It was very hard to watch those lions in that small cage. I am not an expert on lion psychology, but to me they looked very sad and defeated. While munching on a bison burger I googled minimum cage requirements for large cats. Scanning through first legitimate looking site I found. It stated 10’ x 24’ minimum per cat. I saw two cats in their cage and did not measure it but if I had to guess now I’d say the cage at Lake Tobias is 30’x30’. Anyhow. It doesn’t seem near big enough. Standing back observing other guests reactions when approaching enclosure weren’t all positive either. When you hear “poor lion” or a kid ask “how do they get to run”. It would be great to see a larger enclosed built for them.

What an amazing little day trip, I'd never been before and had a blast, affordably priced for a family to enjoy the day without breaking the bank. Staff were helpful and courteous though directional type signs would be welcome for those that are first timers. Animals were sleek, without being overfed, well cared for and bright eyed. Worth the drive, worth the entrance fee.

Loved the safari, but the hour and a half wait to get on was brutal, as well as the 30 minutes standing in line to order food. We spent more time standing in line than actually walking around the park. The petting zoo was our favorite part.

Awesome experience! This is a great place to bring kids and spend the day! Feeding the giraffes was great! Note- be sure to get the feeding store a little early. We went 10 minutes early and got in a line with twenty people already there. They limit the food, we could only buy carrots and green beans. The limit for branches was reached by the time we got up to the counter.

Wheelchair point of view! Mostly accessible. The point that we thought to be a bit cumbersome was going from the parking lot to the park area. There was a spot that said foot traffic this way spot and vehicle traffic a different way. So we went the foot traffic way over a bridge. Only to find out at the end there was a curb like step up. So we had to turn around and go back around to go the vehicle traffic way. With that said, the overall outstanding.they do have a handicap accessible bus for the Safari trip. We got our very own tour guide and it was just us on the bus. He was very knowledgeable and patient. We were able to get up to see the giraffes with no issues. Every place in the park was easily accessible to us. Thank you Lake Tobias for being understanding the needs of the handi-capable.

It was great! We all had a really fun time. It's so inexpensive to get in and there is so much to see. It's $10 for general admission and $15 for everything plus the Safari ride. The Safari ride was WELL worth it and lasted a long time. The animals come right up to the bus and you can touch them and feed them. I will definitely be taking my family again soon.

Beautiful park. So many things for the kiddos to do. The petting zoo was awesome. Just make sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting chewed on and muddy. Great place to take the family and spend a nice relaxing day while learning about the animals

We had the best time at Lake Tobias. The safari was the highlight. You can purchase food for the animals and also popcorn for yourself! The enclosures are large, clean and the animals seem well cared for. The petting zoo is also great because you go into the enclosure so you are with the goats and not just petting them through a fence. We didn’t get a chance to feed the giraffes but the exhibit looked like a lot of fun and is definitely on our list for next time we go!

First time there, today. LOVE IT! Will definitely go back! We started off with a safari tour. Our guide was Christina. She was very informative, thorough, and super nice! After the tour we walked around and visited the other animals. Every employee that we encountered was very nice and helpful. Like I already said, we will definitely be going back!

Visited this past weekend with family and a few friends. Overall we all enjoyed most of the park. The safari tour was awesome, Sara our tour guide was great. The kids loved the petting zoo. So why only ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️? It was very hard to watch those lions in that small cage. I am not an expert on lion psychology, but to me they looked very sad and defeated. While munching on a bison burger I googled minimum cage requirements for large cats. Scanning through first legitimate looking site I found. It stated 10’ x 24’ minimum per cat. I saw two cats in their cage and did not measure it but if I had to guess now I’d say the cage at Lake Tobias is 30’x30’. Anyhow. It doesn’t seem near big enough. Standing back observing other guests reactions when approaching enclosure weren’t all positive either. When you hear “poor lion” or a kid ask “how do they get to run”. It would be great to see a larger enclosed built for them.

My daughter and I go here every year and we love it! The place is gorgeous and well taken care of and the animals actually look healthy and happy and are living in clean nice spaces. The petting zoo is always fun and the staff is friendly. Just be prepared that the wait for the safari tour can be almost 2 hours so plan carefully when you go!

Wonderful place to go to with a family or on a date. The new addition of the giraffes are awesome. My only problem is that the whole park is gravel which makes it harder for someone in a wheelchair to get around. It would be nice if the paths were paved, but I do understand that the park is only funded by donations and sales, not by the government.

This place was such a cool surprise. I didn't know what to expect but far exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly suggest taking a day yo go here especially as a family trip. Make sure you go on the bus tour. It is a bit of a wait but was well worth the wait as the tour guides were great and the animals are amazing. As an adult I was not to excited to go with kids but after I was just as excited as them.

The area where the park is located is just beautiful, so peaceful. The animals are well cared for, the caregivers and staff are very knowledgeable. The reptile show is very interesting even though I hate snakes! The best feature of the park is the safari tours. Love it. They also have great food picnic tables, and nice little gift shop.

My first time visiting Lake Tobias and everything exceeded my expectations. The facility is clean, building and structures are well built and maintained, plenty of friendly helpful staff, and a well laid out park venue with different areas of animals and interests. Most importantly, every animal I encountered seemed well fed (visit during the mornings to watch many of the animals eating), and very content with there habitats. If you're looking for a smaller more intimate venue to interact with animals from originally to some extraordinary then give Lake Tobias a try... I think you'll have a good time. Activities for all ages and diversities.

It is a nice place to visit and see some animals and take a safari on an open school bus. You want to go early In the morning as soon as it opens to beat the crowd. On hot days the animals don't seem to be as active. It is a 15 dollar charge for a ticket to go on the safari. That is all inclusive.

You're even allowed to bring in your own food and drinks which is almost unheard of anymore but helps families on a budget who still want to get out. My family loves to come here. You can walk the park to see some of the animals, but the coolest part is the safari ride. Make sure to get popcorn and carrots for you and the animals. You can bring your own food and drinks. It was great for my 2 year old and seven year old. Highly recommend!!!

Very family friendly, fun place. Parking lot is nuts- parents, please keep your children- AND yourselves- away from/ out of the direct path of vehicles. Lake Tobias- I won't ding you a star for it, but you should also have clearly delineated sidewalk/ walking paths- blocked off with metal/ concrete poles (like at airport drop-off areas/ good bicycle lanes)- surrounding all parking areas. It's just too haphazard. Other than that, had a fantastic time, and- unlike PNC Park, Heinz Field, and Pittsburgh Zoo- Lake Tobias has fairly reasonable, good value for your money, freshly prepared food available in the park. That's a rarity these days.

My fiancé and I came with our 4 children ages 2-12 and we all really enjoyed this park. You get to feed and pet so many animals. They sell cups of pellets and carrots and the refill price is not bad. Definitely do not skip the safari, it is wonderful and well worth it! You’re also able to bring in your own food if you’d like as there are picnic areas. I definitely recommend and I will definitely be coming back.

We go several times per year. It's one of our families favorite places to visit. The animals are better taken care of then at many of the larger zoos we have visited. Great value at $15/ticket with safari. Are there bigger zoos out there? Yes. Are there zoos out there with not or more exotic animals? Sure. But this zoo/wildlife park/attraction allows kids to get close to animals which helps them develop a genuine appreciation for them and an increased desire to care for, and act empathetically toward, animals in the future. My kids all had a great time seeing and feeding the various animals. The animals seemed well-cared for and comfortable in their enclosures. We would visit again for sure.

They have a petting zoo that is free. They also have all kinds of animals ranging from birds all the way to their newst additions the giraffes. They sell food to feed the animals.

Lake Tobias is an interesting animal park. They have animals, birds and reptiles that represent nearly every continent. They have big cats like lions and tigers, there are poisonous tree frogs from South America and deer from Europe. You can enjoy a safari ride in an open top converted school bus and hand feed many exotic animals. The staff of Lake Tobias are educators who are ready to answer visitor's questions. This year they opened a new exhibit with 3 beautiful giraffes. Prepare to spend an entire day enjoying some of the mysteries of our planet, and take a friend too, learning is more fun with friends.

150 acres of wildlife. Safari tour makes for a great experience! Make sure you buy popcorn, pellets, or carrots (available for purchase near the safari ride pickup/dropoff location) before going on the safari tour to make it more of an interactive experience. Petting zoo is fun too! A stroller is needed if you have little ones. I love that you can bring food along and choose any one of their three pavilions (located along the lake) to have a picnic. The updates that have happened in the last few years have turned this place into a great family adventure. We will definitely be back next year too!

Top off buses ferry you around a decent sized enclosure with personable tour guides giving you great information on all the animals. What a great way to spend a Saturday! My family and I had a wonderful time and were able to see all kinds of exotic animals. All of the animal exhibits are not very crowded, as everyone can walk around to each one at their own pace. They also have a safari tour bus which you can ride around and see even more of the animals. We will definitely be going back soon!

Great weekend with our family. Great prices for the whole day Age appropriate activities. We really enjoyed the safari ride where we could feed fge animals. We got some treats before we went on the safari and it was sonmuch fun The kids loved the mini goats and sheep in the petting zoo. We spent about 6 hrs at Lake Tobias. The prices are good too for food and drinks or you can take a cooler and eat back at the picnic tables and playground area. Overall a great gem for a summer or fall day

This is a great day trip, a place to interact with animals! The safari tour is a favorite of mine, you can get up close and personal with the animals, feeding them and petting them, also learning a lot about them. It takes about 4 hours to cover the whole entire park and admission is only $15!! Highly recommend

This zoo is such a gem! The safari ride was an unexpectedly grand experience with a large variety of animals. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the grounds were clean and pleasant. All the kids lived it, from 1 to 14, each kid had a thrilled expression as the deer, buffalo, and other animals ate from their hands.

This is a wonderful place to bring kids or even as a simple date idea. The Safari ride is a great way to see many animals in the comfort of an open top bus. The surrounding zoo is well done. It also has a petting zoo, reptile house, gift shop, eatery, and ice cream shop. The prices are very reasonable. There are pavilions with picnic tables for groups to have a party. There are jungle gyms in several locations. You can purchase a catch and release pass to fish in their pond.

I found this zoo while on a trip to Hershey Park. This is the absolute best, amazing zoo I've ever been too. I go to a lot of zoos and you cannot beat the experience you get here for the price you pay. We had an awesome safari tour with our guide Kellie. Saw and hand fed so many cool wild animals that you usually only see from a distance. The park is beautifully designed and landscaped. The staff are knowledgeable and even though most are teens they were so polite. My 5 year old had the best time. I will be visiting here every time we come out to Hershey or the surrounding area.

Beautiful place! Animals come first with these folks, but there is plenty of interaction with them via the safari bus. The guides are AWESOME, a wealth of knowledge about the animals. They will do everything they can to get the animals to come to the bus. They will eat the treats they sell (very reasonably priced) right out of your hand! They really go all out to keep things as natural as possible for the animals. Veterans and current military folks get in FREE!!! An awesome adventure to be sure. Large parking areas, and all the pathways are disabled accessible. Friendly helpful staff, ALL are very knowledgeable about the various animals. Highly recommend this Wildlife Park for a great day outing!

We had a great day here! Between the Safari drive, petting zoo, reptile center, and other animal displays, there's something for everyone. It also helps that there are a few playgrounds and picnic pavilions scattered throughout the facility. You are allowed to bring outside food,which helps keep costs down.
