There are multiple gates you can enter from so better remember which one. The zoo was fantastic, super big, loved every bit of it. Has lots of shade along the route. Decent selection of food to choose from. No line up to get in. Unfortunately it is pay parking.

Ray Alistic

The grounds are beautiful and easy to map your paths. The rainforest cafe had good food and for the most part was priced like most other eateries. I would like to see a larger beverage option. Something refillable that we can bring back every time we visit would be great. I really wish the exhibits were larger. It made me feel sad for the larger animals. For the most part it was a very nice zoo.

Edwin Villalobos

Not the beat zoo I've ever been to, great membership prices for those weekend you dont want to spend too much. Regardless, my kids love this place. Tip: if you park west of the zoo on the street, there are no time limits or parking fees

Travis Fodor

I love this zoo! To he honest, I wasn't sure how great a zoo could be in Seattle, but this place is just as good if not better than San Diego/some of the more famous zoos. The staff is so passionate and excited to tell you about their zoo. We love it here!

Terrie Laws

Great zoo. Not too small. I loved using their map. Some animals didn't show up, but if you went inside the exhibit, they were there.

Xander Reasoner

The staff is super friendly, the gift shop is a nice place to get some quality shirts & goods. I love the way the food court is designed. Very open, very comfortable, very awesome! The team is great definitely would recommend!

Amy Wang

$6 parking lot, better go early not to miss out on getting a spot. Be prepared to spend ~3 hours here. Animals seem to be well taken care of with nice proper enclosures. Lots of bathrooms which is great. Stroller and wheelchair friendly. Bring your own snacks as food options were not so great.

Leslee Horning

A must see zoo!!! Over 1,000 animals and 92 acres of beautiful grounds. So much to do for the littles and a nice eatery to grab some food and rest!!

Julia Cai

There are free street parking around the zoo or parking lot for $6. We saw a lot of animals from penguins to snow leopards. Our kids were really amused by the orangutans. It was such a wonderful experience.

A.C. Cov

Absolutely love Woodland Park Zoo. Bring your walking shoes because there's a lot of ground to cover. Seceral fun areas to take breaks and let the kids expend see energy. Highly recommend, especially those with kiddos.

Rajesh Kk

My kids love it. The only problem you might face is getting a parking spot. Woodland zoo has four parking lots around the zoo. When we went to the first parking lot we saw that it was completely full so we went to next nearby one which was surprisingly empty.

Andrew Huntington

This zoo is very nice the staff are all very nice and helpful, they do things for kids like sing songs about the animals and such, and in the summer they do concerts and when you go to one or multiple you save animals which is awesome! and the concerts are fun just yesterday I went to see the lost 80's concert which had some awesome bands! they have a souvenir shop and some good places to eat and you get a map so you can get to the animals you wanna see which is nice, there's places to sit around the park, they also rent wheel chairs and wagons for the kids, they also have playgrounds for kids as well and a carousel. they do little shows that teach you about like different birds and other animals, and a petting zoo. you can get your face painted or get your picture drawn or taken as you walk in. I believe that's about it except that you can get annual passes and discounts, this zoo is an all around good zoo, Thanks again to the Woodland park zoo for all the awesome memories and good times you have given us. my family and I really appreciates you guys!

Josephine Celt

Love the zoo. Have loved it since I was a baby. Now I bring mine. It has more to discover each time we visit. Only negative, please bring back the nocturnal exhibit!! But love the addition of the petting zoo, butterfly room, "zoo-nasium" and so much more!!

Tiffany K

I was visiting from out of town for an event held at the zoo. It is a very cute zoo, and the employees are knowledgeable about its residents. The butterfly garden is quite beautiful, and the penguin feeding time is always fun to watch.

Victor Nelson

Very good zoo. Well kept and I love all the little venders from coffee to food to shaved ice. And the animals were amazing. Got to hear the lion roar and the wolves howl. Really really cool. Can't wait to visit again

Philip Levy

Wonderful zoo park in Seattle. Lush vegetation gives a jungle feel. Wide variety of animals given its relatively small size and large areas for each animal group. Helpful staff. You could cover most of it in 3 to 4 hours. Food and pay-for parking available. This ranks as one of the nicest zoos I have visited.

Evelyn Sonmers

We had a great weekend. My nephew enjoyed all the animals he saw. This is a very nice place for kids and kids at heart.

Jay Wallace

Was a nice zoo overall. Ws very crowded on the holiday weekend. The biggest issue is how oddly it is laid out. Lots of twisting paths that you have to double back on in order to see everything. Still would recommend as a place to bring children to see animals.

Nancy White

Nice, clean, enjoyable experience. Animals look well cared for. We love the carousel. Great place!

Peter Rostok

If you love animals and doing something to protect them, Woodland Park Zoo is the place for you! I bring my grandkids here as often as I can. Helps them understand our place and the protection of these creatures everywhere.

Karina Nunez

We went just before closing so only saw a few animals. The exhibits are real habitats. Lots of learning opportunities for the kids.

Rachel Lipsky

This is a great zoo - one of the first to develop proper habitats for the animals. It's lovely just to walk through and enjoy the landscaping. It has a nice balance of indoor spaces, as well

Shelley Robertson

A truly wonderful zoo. My kids and I will no doubt be back soon!

Laura L.

I went with family on Labor day. Hadn't been in years. Very enjoyable time and good exhibits Helpful staff. Admission and food is spendy, but what we did eat was prepared well and tasty. (Hamburger and fish/chips) Miss that they dont have elephants. But there are so many interesting fascinating creatures to observe. We also rode the beautiful 101yr old carousel, so cool!

Ashley Horton

Check out the brown bears. They truly are the gems of this zoo. The zoo is also very well laid out, without too much random walking between exhibits. Very wheelchair friendly. Get there early ish, if you want a parking spot close to the entrance. Handicap parking is free.

Casey Carr

One of my favorite places as a kid, and now one of my favorite places as a treat for my kids. However sometimes certain animals you hope to see aren't in sight so plan for that. The souvenir shop is alright. In my opinion the stuff they sell directed to kids especially the stuffed animals are subpar. Ive seen better and more detailed stuffed animals offered at Bridge's Pet Store in Snohomish for less. My husband did buy an awesome charcoal water purifier glass bottle that we use daily though.

Kathy Garcia

Love, love the zoo. Went for my grandsons 3rd birthday. My daughter reserved the carousel party room with an animal encounter and it was great!

Cody Chase

Awesome Zoo, we loved it .You could spend two days and not have all the experiences

Markus Carlson

Great zoo! Never too busy to mosey around. If you go twice a year, the membership is definitely worth it!

Why would you not love this place? Great sights, friendly staff/volunteers (yes, even volunteers go out of their way to help you), affordable. My only complaint (which isn't even a valid complaint) is it's hard to see some animals -- but that is completely understandable. The animals would be very stressed out and die much sooner if they were constantly visible. And this is a common issue among all zoos for a reason. You just can't force animals to be constantly watched and expect them to be comfortable. So when you go here, or any zoo, understand you won't see every animal in every exhibit. One valid complaint I do have is the insect/arachnid section was not very expansive. I was expecting more creepy crawly things to see, but I gotta say, of all the zoos I've been to, as strange as it is for me to say about a zoo in the biggest city I've ever gone to -- they're presentation was pretty small. I've been to smaller cities with more to exhibit. I'm not even interested in bugs, and I still noticed this. Over all, a great visit anyway, especially if you show up in time to follow their path of shows.

Lovely zoo with array of different animals divided by continents. Great place to go with family or even on your own. Food and coffee located inside. There is also a zoo shop with souvenirs. They offer workshops and hold concerts . The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly . Lots of walking and good way to have an active day.

Love the zoo. I have a membership and go with family whenever we can. There is too much to do and see in just one or two visits. Ground are clean. Often they put on evening events for members only and have fun activities, free carousel rides etc. It's a great time.

Emran Ismail

I love the zoo and this zoo was great and fun and easy to get around. I hope everyone who works for zoo gets a lot more respect from the public and politicians! They need pay raise and we need do better job at protecting endangered species! I want more red pandas! They are so cute!

Scott Rossiter

I was here to represent our nonprofit organization for a commmunity engagement day! Staff was so very helpful and great to work with in getting set up. Kudos to WP Zoo for partnering with community neighbors during their Zoo For All campaign. "The rising tide lifts all boats." Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so grateful for the generosity of spirit fostered by this event!

Irene Chin

Expansive zoo with many animals to see and activities to do. Some areas need a bit more TLC, but overall popular animals do appear healthy and were ready for photos today. Red panda and otters did not disappoint!

Shannon McClinton

Love this place. Little more walking than I'd like but still enjoy every time I go there

The zoo is fine. The grounds with mature trees, shrubs, foliage is great. It is showing its age and high use, understandably due to the limited budget it has available. As for the food in the park..... ugh horrible. Bring your own food!

Doug Webster

Great zoo... The Seattle weather helps a lot, the animals are always active in the cool mornings. It would be great if the zoo had a little more money to increase conservation efforts and to continue to improve the habitats for the animals. Check it the rainforest exhibit... It's really cool!

Jeremy Stewart

Wonderful venue to walk, take in nature, view animals and spend time with family! Very peaceful and relaxing. A great way to spend a few hours or the whole day!

J P

Hadn’t been to the zoo in awhile, really happy I went. Cool weather week day is definitely the best time to go, as I’m pretty sure the place will be absolutely packed during the week. It also seems like morning to early afternoon is prime animal sighting time, as it became zoo nap time across the board starting about two. The exhibits are great. From my laymen’s perspective they strike a good balance between good viewing for visitors and comfort for the zoo inhabitants. My highlights were seeing lots of wolves, several beers and a whole heap of otters at very close range. Also some penguins :)

Danielle Vankruyssen

I love this zoo! It is so beautiful! I love that the animals look and seem healthy. I also love that they set up most of the enclosures in a way that even during nap time the animals are visible.

Woodland park zoo is a great place to take the family to see animals you can't see in the wild

John Clarke

The otters were a big hit with our twins. The zoo does a wonderful job keeping the animals happy and healthy. They ensure they're well entertained.

Leonard Tompkins

This wildlife park is the perfect place to bring kids and adults who just have a love for animals. Walking through this park is like taking a trip around the world. From the African plains to the rain forest, northern Woodlands and beyond. This zoo has gone out of it's way to ensure that the animals are comfortable and well looked after. Just one trip and these animals will capture your imagination and open your mind to how vulnerable these magnificent creatures are. Personally I've made 3 trips with family and friends is 2019 alone and hope to bring the newer generations of my family in the future!

Mark Becker

Great place, except for the food. Incredibly over-priced for menu items so poorly prepared they wouldn't survive an elementary school lunchroom. Highly recommend that you eat before arriving.

Sarah Paramore

Amazing zoo! Some of the animals were in their dens but they have windows to see into them so we were still able to see most of the animals. The staff was helpful and answered all questions.

Mike Steinmetz

Great zoo. Got separated from the family a few times amongst all the people in the maze but other than that it was pretty cool. Not sure why the giraffe exhibit was blocked off. We wanted to see the baby. Going to have to come back a few times to see it all.

Carlos Quezada

The Zoo was a lot of fun! I'm from San Diego so we have a pretty good Zoo to beat bit this zoo was a lot of fun plus its included in the CITY PASS which I recommend if your visiting Seattle. But pretty cool they have this little baby giraffe. I would recomend you plan out 3-4hrs to see everything. Its not the biggest zoo but will take time to see everything! Thanks Woodland!!!

Brittany Arroyo

The zoo is always fun, clean and educational. We have enjoyed it for years! I am writing this review specifically because of Rosie. I called with an unusual question, and she was more than friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to accommodate my family. Her friendly and understanding manner was very refreshing . She is a keeper and I'm thankful that she was the one to answer the phone. Thank you Rosie! I hope they are taking great care of you!

Alnair Jimenez

This zoo isn't just absolutely gorgeous, but it's also huge! So, prepare to walk all day long and see some amazing things. The animals look happy and healthy, and the zoo keepers are incredibly helpful, sweet and they always have facts about the animals under their care. There's a lot of accessibility for disabled people (as far as I could tell) , and lots of benches everywhere, where you can watch the exhibitions from, especially the beautiful aviaries. My absolute favorite was the tropical rainforest! Only thing is there should be more of is places to eat or get a snack around the park.

Pat M

Best zoo in Pacific Northwest. Clean, organized, well laid out and lots to see. Best time is mid day. Quite a few animals will be asleep or hiding if early or late. Most interesting is lion, tiger, giraffe, hippo. Check website and entertainment book for admission discounts

Amazing Zoo! I would give this place a 6 out of 5 star review! There are so many amazing exhibits! The animals exhibits were large so the animals can live a good life! The grounds were clean! The penguins were the best they were swimming right by the glass giving you a fun show! The zoo has many different animals from different areas of the world making the experience great, I saw animals I would never see in the wild! Every time you go it will be a different experience because of how the animals act! Daily there are shows too! They let the giraffes go into the savanna so they cross the path 2 times a day! This is definitely worth a visit!

Dipika Herekar

Worth visiting this place. Beautiful landscapes. Get an amazing feel of jungle. Good to spend time with family, kids in nature. Requires minimum 5 hours to travel zoo. Restrooms, food n drink facilities available here but recommended to keep your tummy full before entering into zoo. I Enjoyed alot.. Would love to visit again

Stephanie Lee

Absolutely love this place!! Great Staff! We got there about 3 hours before it closed so there was not a lot of people which was great. Definitely coming back.

Dimple Schuerman

Nice big zoo where animals look happy, healthy, and well taken care of. The enclosures are big enough that the animals have enough room to run around in, and some bird enclosures allow birds to roam and fly free and interact with the visitors.

Maggie Sweeney

Beautiful zoo. Lots of fun stuff for little ones to climb on and explore. Small enough that you can enjoy the whole zoo in half a day.

Sharath Holla

One of the best places in Seattle, and one should not miss this one if you have come as tourist. The Zoo is pretty big, and is animals/birds are housed in different sections divided by geography. Example, there is an Australian section, which houses Kangaroo, Emu, etc, An Asian section that houses Rhino, Hippo, and so on. At several times, there are few shows, like near tiger section, at 11AM, tiger will be called to viewing area for a closer look. However, the Day I visited, the Tiger there was not in any mood to come The Birds section was also good, where you will be let inside a big cage, and colorful birds will be flying around you Overall, it was a really pleasant experience, and if a kid is accompanying you, then this is a must place to visit

Hannah Kitts

Absolutely WONDERFUL zoo. So many unique animals I had never seen at other zoos, habitats are large and well-designed (both for the animals living in them and the zoo patrons) with multiple viewing points for many of them, so that you can see the animals wherever they are in their homes. Multiple contact points- feed the parrots and waterbirds, pet the farm animals. We ran into a peacock in the line at the Graze Cafe- he gets to roam the zoo as he pleases. The variety of birds is especially impressive, and there are multiple netted enclosures for them to fly around zoo guests if they choose. The animals all seemed so happy and active, nearly 100% were visible when we came by their exhibits. 11/10 will visit again.

Krys Wylie

32$ for 1 1/2 meals! Half the animals were unavailable to see, favorites no longer there. Big up on learning now which is nice. Loved the butterfly place!

Krista Furgala

This an absolutely beautiful zoo. It's so natural, with dirt paths that make it feel less zoo-like. We were there with a large group of families with Special Needs kiddos while in town for a convention for our son's genetic condition. This zoo made us feel very welcome, and was fun for everyone that joined us! Oh, and they have DOLE WHIP!!!

Sierra

I love this zoo. Such a fun place to go to. I love how informative it is. It's a good size. In 3 hours me and my SO only got through half of it

ben enfield

Great compact inner city zoo. It doesn’t have the overwhelming experience of some municipal zoos, but it makes up for it with close proximity and walk ability of all of the exhibits.

Bryan Carter

This is on amazing place! The kids and I had a wonderful time and planning a return visiting next summer. The staff were very knowledgeable about the animals in the exhibits and we learned a great deal from them. Now my eldest wants to work animals now.

Morgan Vivika

Huge selection of animals to look at, and the enclosures are huge, and very humane, which I appreciate. Me, and my two toddlers had a blast for one of their birthdays. The bug exhibit was fantastic, and so was the rainforest one :)

Laura Janicke

My eight-year-old enjoyed herself. Unfortunately, many of the exhibits if not most may as well have been without animals. The zoo closes at 4 p.m.. We felt rushed to choose what we wanted to see in the two hours that we had. Visiting the zoo early in the morning and/or finding out what time the animals are fed would be the most rewarding experience. I'm happy that the homes that these animals live in allow for space but it is frustrating to catch a glimpse and end up following a crowd of people to running around to another viewpoint to hoping to see them before they're out of site. One of the most exciting and unexpected exhibits are the penguins. They allow from view underwater and above water. There are plentiful both above and below the water swimming right alongside the glass. For anyone hoping to see elephants, they were moved a couple years ago after the veteran elephant passed away. I talked to someone whowork there for many years and learned that elephants do best in groups so they moved the remaining to a zoo where there were five others. This was good to hear.

Maya Y

Beautiful zoo! Is a great place to spend a day with your family or friends. It's not the biggest zoo but there's still lots to see and do. The animals are grouped into different sections according to the area of the world they come from. It has a lot of trees towering the paths which make it so beautiful and green. There's a bug world area, butterfly garden, family farm. You can feed the birds with a seed stick. There's an indoor play area for kids. It doesn't have all of the animals I expected to see but it has a lot to offer. I really enjoyed it.

John GIBSON

Went to Zootunes@ Woodland Park Zoo. Awesome venue! Excellent, helpful and polite staff! Great accessible parking!

Kayla Wielgus

Heavy duck populations span multiple exhibits! There were some animals sharing these exhibits with the water fowl that I didn’t care for, but overall a great zoo! Would’ve liked to see more fledging.

Graham Booth

A terrific Zoo of world class standard. You can spend a full day here and 5 hours doesn't cover everything available. The animal habitats are well constructed in a modern and sympathetic manner. The staff are well informed and the animal talks are very good. Lots for under 8 children to do. The only thing that holds me from giving 5 stars are the small walk through aviaries and some of the tiny primate habitats. This is still a better Zoo than Sandiego, Boston and the Smithsonian in DC by a large margin and up, there with some of the best Zoos in the world. Worth every penny of the low entry costs

Joshua Murphy

Great zoo. I would suggest not skipping the shows. Very fun for the younger kids. Also I always miss the exhibits in the middle and regret it every time. Make sure you don't miss them.

Cameron Griffith

I haven't been to very many zoos in my life but I would say this one is too tier. Great view of many of the animals. Close up experiences with 3 aviaries with birds just flying around you. See attached map for animals that are in this zoo. It's hard to do this zoo in just one day. The yellow loop (on the map) is one mile and you will probably end up walking closer to 2 miles because you can't just walk around the main loop. They have extra experiences with the animals at certain hours of the day. You can look these times up on their website. For example there is an opportunity to feed a rhino but it costs 10 dollars extra. And you will have to wait in line. But it's a great photo opportunity. There is a zoo cafe with some food. A little expensive but decent. See photo for food prices as of Oct 2019.

Yoon Park

Well preserved park with clean and nest environment. Animals are secured in safe and nature friendly places. But with the forest, you need an extra coat. Too cold during autumn and winter.

Darla Williams

3 adults took 2 three year old boys. My feet hurt because they ran everywhere. The animals seem happy. Well cared for we adults were able to rest some when they sat for ice cream. We will certainly come back

Jim H

This is the place to go to get away from seattle for a day!. Lots of animals from all around the world and very well set out. I have held season passes now for over 5 years for my wife and I, we are regular visitors and sometimes attend the special functions. This place is very special to us, and we do love it but just some things need to be attended to on a more regular basis. Please do some painting!! At least touch up the weathered areas....it will look so much newer and fresher. This place needs a lot of power washing. This in itself will get you guys a 10 out of ten. Clean the glass on the attractions more often....this is pretty bad sorry to say. The bathrooms are well stocked and maintained, this is always important....you guys pass on this one!. But thanks for such a wonderful place and thanks to the staff for doing a good job.

Beth Mikulka

We love having a membership here even during rainy days, my kiddo enjoys the indoor Amazium play area. Down by the bugs (SW corner), they have a great outdoor play area with animal habitats. I never really thought that having a farm section at the zoo would be such a great idea until I had a kid. These are the animals they are.most familiar with, and it's great to be able to take his somewhere local to see them!

Mandana Vatani

Amaizing zoo! There are so many amazing exhibits. Great place to go with children.

Terri Jenkins

Woodland Park Zoo is big and very nicely maintained. We were in at 9am and out by 5pm, but we did cover the whole area in that time frame. There are some areas which are closed, and I would recommend to save those for the times when it rains. Lions, giraffes, chimpanzees, zebras, monkeys they have animals from all over the world. One tip I have is, if you have a Microsoft prime card, make sure you show it, there is a great discount with one. They do not accept prime app on your phone though.

Kristen Deskin

I’ve been a member for years and every experience is amazing! My children have a new and fun experience. The animal feeding experiences are truly exceptional. Currently they have rhino, giraffe and penguin feeding options. The petting zoo is fun, there’s two different herds which are rotated so they’re always inter-active.Bug world is back by the farm area and is a unique experience. If you’re trying to cool off in the summer or need to escape the rain, the zoonasium Is indoors and is awesome, lets kids get out some of that big energy safely. They also have activity packs you could check out and take around the zoo. We preferred to take short trips throughout the year because we have a membership but you can definitely do the whole zoo in one day. You can bring a lunch to save money but the food there is really good!

Rebecca S

This is a great zoo. I only wish I could visit more often. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

joe wendell

We come from Witchita , KS which has in my opinion one of the best zoo's i have ever been to. This zoo was nice it had allot of animals out. Only disappointment was i never saw the wolves which is one of the main reasons we went. But they are on there schedule not mine so it happens.

Louis Ruth

Awesome Zoo. Animal exhibits all well kept. Worth seeing and donating to. Louis Ruth Photography

Myrtle Young

Great view of many of the animals. There is a zoo cafe with some food. A little expensive but decent. There is also a zoo shop with souvenirs. The animals' exhibits were large so the animals can live a good life! Best zoo.

Morgan Paskiewicz

The animals were wonderful. Got a membership and already worth the money in just two visits.

VS 23

Big zoo, you’d probably need at least a few hours here if you want to see everything. We saw some giraffes, flamingoes and other animals. The lion was interesting to see. We didn’t eat there but we grabbed a bag of caramel popcorn, it was pretty good.

Steve Von Rex

Such a great zoo! The landscaping is amazing- multiple different views of the habitats almost guarantees you will see the animals. Habitats are arranged to keep animals separate but situated so that the view makes them look like they co-exist just as they do naturally. Great experience and a wonderful time!

Kody Schirner

This Zoo was awesome. Parking on a holiday weekend was tough to come by but I still managed to park my truck close to the entrance. Just took a little patience. That is to be expected in Seattle I think. The kids had a ton of fun and there are plenty of places to rest, eat and take a break.

Cassandra Schrodt

This zoo is truly wonderful. The exhibits and beautiful and the animals are well cared for. I loved that there were zoo employees occasionally hanging out to help show you were to look, one showed us that we could see a baby wallaby's feet hanging out of momma's pouch. One gave us food to feed ducks out of our hands. Another caught our attention to the giraffes about to pass by. I have a great video of that I'll post if I figure out how. This has to be my most favorite zoo trip ever.

Lawrence Novak

This zoo is freaking amazing. They have everything there... Bird room, lions, and everything your little heart can desire even primates.

Bryan Zandi

Amazing place for both kids and adults. I’ve visited a dozen Zoos, but Woodland Park Zoo for sure takes the first rank. The number and variety of animals was great. The design of cages also was fantastic. However, other amenities such as bathrooms caught my attention by being filthy.

Karen Stiritz

Possibly one of the WORST experiences in quite some time. $42 for two adults. Long wait lines. Only two lanes open on a Saturday afternoon (four available). Beverages of choice out, ice cream out, on a Saturday?? I expect this on Sunday afternoon. Poor planning and ordering is apparently the ‘norm ‘ as the employee seem completely accustomed to this. Soda machines completely without anything available. MUST wait in an exceptionally long line to just grab a water. Walked quite some distance to only see one type of animal. Not impressed.

Dwight Amstutz

This was used with the City Pass. We loved the Zoo! This zoo has an easy to navigate layout. I love the giant trees hanging over many of the paths. The animals were very active today, despite the rain. We enjoyed the feeding the birds with the seed stick purchase. The Grizzly bears were fascinating. Just to witness their power while trying to get a back rub from the tree was so cool. I've seen a lot of zoos and we were impressed. Gorillas were napping during our visit out of the rain. I don't blame them. Butterfly area, kids play areas and the farm area are all well done. They have good coffee here as well. This is a must do for any animal lover. Parking was $7-8 .

ReBecca Peyton

We consulted the website before driving the 3 hours to visit and were disappointed that many of the things we were looking forward to were closed without notice, like the giraffe encounter, and they were out of seed sticks to feed the birds. Many exhibits we could not see the featured animals, which was a letdown for everyone, especially the kids. We liked the butterfly and bird exhibits very much, but for the money, if I had to choose, I'd go back to Point Defiance Zoo!

Erica Fritch

We loved this zoo. We spent 2.5 hours there and could have spent longer. We were lucky to see the baby giraffe. So many amazing animals and amazing ways to see them up close. The penguins were my fave.

Sean Torres

brought the kids here and all of us had a great time. the exhibits were awesome and the staff here are fantastic

Pat M

I've never seen a zoo so cute and unique. Most of the animals here are either rescued or partnered with other conservation organizations from around the world. I'm very impressed to see a great diversity of animals and they make the area feels like where they come from. Eg, Malayan tigers area feels like I was in Malaysia. As a Malaysian, it feels like home!

We have family with kids visiting town and kids wanted to see the Woodland Zoo. I was excited too to visit this place but we did not know that time changed for fall season. We came at 3pm and they are supposed to closed at 4pm. We ask if they can lower the entrance fee because we will just be there for an hour but they did not. I would think they will give people a deal just for an hour in the zoo but..... We also pay for parking which made me more unhappy.

Stephan Garbin

This is a great zoo! Loads of awesome animals, and everything in great condition. Would have liked the tiger to have a bigger enclosure though.. :)

michelly calzadilla

beautiful zoo! It is super large, has many animals of all types are divided into continents. The animals are looked after and clean. There are small shops and restaurants. the entrance is a bit expensive but it is worth the price.

Abhishek Malyala

Lovely place to take your kids. Make sure you drop the family off closer to the entrance with strollers and then go searching for parking. Parking is ample but sometimes can be a longer walk to the ticketing gate. You might want to get the annual pass if you want to visit more often. It saves you a lot of money. Depending on the weather, sometimes the animals aren't visible. The zoo has a great map and you should plan 2-3 hours before lunch, and 2-3 hours after lunch to leisurely visit all exhibits. For photographers, long lenses are your friend in the zoo. Most places are out in the open. Some well ventilated indoor places, the flexibility of a f2.8 mid-range zoom, like a 16-55 works well enough. Some poorly lit exhibits like the bugs world would need a fast f1.4 prime to keep the ISO down. I think they do allow tripods but it may slow you down, and are of no use as most animals keep moving. If you have the skills to focus fast, a macro lens will give you some good pictures of flowers and birds, especially in the aviaries.

D'SHAWN O'GORMAN

Terrific anytime of year. Very hassle free outing. Indoor and outdoor exhibit space. Family friendly. There is a fun indoor play building for parents and kids needing a break. Go on one of Seattle's gray days for a less crowded visit.

Lexi

Great zoo! Most of the habitats are well thought out to give the animals a realistic space to live. Make sure to catch the keeper talks. Especially the raptors as it gives you a chance to see the animals up close. There are volenteers stationed and they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the animals. The butterfly garden is peaceful and beautiful. With four different exits/entries you don't have to worry about having to make walk all the way back to the beginning of the park.

Dave Koehler

Great Zoo a lot of well care for animals would like to have had an observation post and look down at the Grizzlies and some of the other carnivores. I will say that the animals had a lot of room to move around which made it difficult to see but it's good that they're able to move around freely

Nick Butler

The zoo is a wonderful place. I loved bringing my kid here for his second birthday and will definitely be back. We were a bit later in the day so many animals were eating or hiding. If you buy your tickets online make sure you get a pdf map on your phone cause they wont give you a paper one. The food court was pretty bad, might be better to pack lunches!

Crystal Stephens

Gorgeous and huge. I feel like the animals are actually well taken care of and happy there. We were there for about 5 hours and still didn't see everything. The food is ridiculously expensive and not great, so bring some snacks if you're going to be there awhile.

Rocky PG

Excellent local zoo. Plenty of play areas for young children who might not be so interested in the animals, and lots of exhibits and information for the ones who are. Also 25% of each ticket is dedicated to conservation efforts both local and global.

Albert Chua

Although I'm not what I would consider a zoo expert, this zoo is by the far one of the best I've gone to. From zoo design to employees to activities, it was a great experience. The map was easy to read and navigate, signs of upcoming events were everywhere, employees were helpful (and personable), and the information and interactive-ness was awesome. Definitely come here. Like this if it was helpful!

Jacob Schmitt

We attended using the city pass. Weather was great and the zoo was very easy to walk around. The animals were living in well thought out areas, and themed parts of the zoo worked well. The gorillas were lively and my personal favourite was the grizzly bears. Well worth a visit and easily reached by Uber from town. This was a great small zoo. Most of the animals were active despite the heat of the day. The Entrance Address takes you to the southwest side parking lot where there is a small unmarked trail by the parking payment machine that takes you to the nearest entrance (great if no strollers).

Jacqulyn Pace

Easy to spend hours here! Lots of great things to see and very affordable! Can’t wait to go again.

Brian Moore

Lovely place to see animals, get some drinks and lunch. Animal statues are beautiful too.

beef o'malley

awesome zoo! been to many over the years and this one always stands out. great vantage points and amazing animals. the tigers are the most likely to be out of view, but what can you do. the snow leopards are usually up on the hill so the best place to see them is actually on the back side path by the northern trail. obviously timing is a huge factor so just do your due diligence to avoid coming right after feeding times and you wont be disappointed.

I've been here 5 or 6 times and it's still a fun experience every time I return. Highly recommend you visit, get here before 10amish to get parking spot. This place has so many events, and the things to do.

Satya E

Loved the Lion, penguins, hippos, bird feeding (which is amazing), white tigers, penguins, giraffes and each and every animal.. Thanks to the zoo management for keeping it so safe, beautiful and tidy.. kudos to the management

Taylor Dabb

Our family had a great day at the zoo. We risked a busy Sunday visit, but it didn't feel nearly as crowded as we had expected. We arrived at about. 11am, were able to find parking with relative ease, and had a great time walking through all the different areas seeing a slew of different animals. The only drawback was the price of admission, but as a special treat for our little ones it was well worth it.

Linghui Gao

It definitely a great place for family and friends to go to. The environment and how it organized is amazing. We don’t go there every year, we keep it fresh to go there every the other year. Families have yearly membership is a great choice to save money and have a wonderful place to go.

Brad Derting

Woodland Park Zoo is the best Zoo I have been to. The animal enclosures are large and have a abundant amount of enrichment things for the animals. There is also excellent viewing options for all ages. The layout of the exhibit has a good flow that doesn't require you to double back a bunch.

Don R Campbell

A superb experience. Take bus 5 from downtown and experience the city's 'fauna' then get off at the zoo stop to experience fauna from across the globe. The experience begins with the noticeably passionate and enthusiastic staff. Wow. These people love their job and love their animals. The diversity of animals to see is also quite remarkable. From penguins, to rhinos to grizzly bear twin-brothers. I'm not typically a zoo lover, but in this case it rates a WOW.

Meghan Mangels

Love this zoo! Very clean and good value. The animals and enclosures are awesome. Great volunteers and friendly staff. It's a great adventure!

Nessa Short

I love the woodland park zoo! I've been going here since I was a young kid, and I love this place. Their efforts towards conservation are as remarkable as the impressive lengths they try to go to to make sure the animals are comfortable and happy.

Marissa Patterson

If there was a higher rating than 5 stars I would give it. The animals seem happy and well cared for. The exhibits are up-close, but with plenty of hiding spaces and room to roam if the animals aren't feeling like interacting. The (human) food is very good, better than most zoos and similar attractions. There is a lot of green space and opportunity to connect with nature, right in the middle of the city. In the words of Schoolhouse Rock, "it's a very groovy zoo."

Babette Lenz

I love the zoo! The exhibits are great, lots to see. Bring a sack lunch, food is expensive. They have these great water bottle filling stations too, although I couldn't find one from the map and it was quite frustrating. Enjoy!!!

Jason Tice

We have visited many Zoo's and this was one of the best! The exhibits were great and very animal friendly. You may need to look for the animals, but it is a great experience.

Dave Miller

Wonderful zoo. Lots to see and do. If you come early you might need to revisit areas to see the animals because they might not be out yet when you go. The zoo is laid out in groupings so you can see animals of different areas of the world. Food is a little pricey but good.

Courtney Foien

Always a fun time at this zoo! Alot of the animals were sleepy when we got there due to the heat, but it was still very enjoyable! Especially feeding the cockatoos!

Joann P

If you haven't been there lately shame on you. We have one of the best Zoo's anywhere and they work hard on being more than just a zoo. They are doing great research as well as being a major venue for the arts. We all need to support our Zoo or like everything these days...it will go away.

Margaret Guardiola

Great zoo! Habitats are very natural and spacious. Forest setting.

Megan Robbins

I really enjoyed this zoo. I have gone to San Diego zoo a number of times but I enjoyed this one more. The animals were easy to see and it was crazy overcrowded. My kids had a lot of fun. I was excited to see the baby giraffe and was so excited I forgot to take a picture.

Stephanie Milliette

Such a great day for my 10 year old daughter and myself! The only downside was the parking, the lots seemed way too small for the area and as we came on a Saturday we drove around for a good half an hour before snagging a lucky spot on the street as someone pulled out. Otherwise the zoo was fabulous, well laid out and easy to find the different habitats. Food is WAY over priced, for example $2 for a couple tablespoons of cheese to dip a pretzel in on top of the cost of the pretzel is a little ridiculous when you can buy a 24oz jar of the stuff for the same price in a store. I would definitely plan on bringing lunch with me next time. I did appreciate the set up they had for the food court as it kept the lines moving quickly and the food hot. We saw lots of the animals, only a couple weren't viewable, they also had a great selection of stuffed animals, shirts, keychains, etc. in the gift shop and lots of deals to keep costs down which I appreciated. The carousel was enormous and fun. Overall great experience and we'll definitely be back!

Jennifer Fosters

Woodland Park Zoo is amazing! We actually stopped to renew our membership today. Not a lot of time to explore what we managed to see the Penguins and take a ride on the carousel. I'm looking forward to going back there is so much to see here. I recommend an annual membership if you're local. When you go say hi to my penguin friend Gomez. He doesn't have a mate yet but I suggested her name be Morticia. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon. The zoo is open rain or shine. The more rain the less people.

Jennifer Lukes

Had a great time at the zoo with the kids (5 & 2.5 yo)! There are plenty of play structures spread throughout the zoo that they thoroughly enjoyed. We were there for 6 hours and didn't get through all of the exhibits, so we will definitely need to make a return trip.

varun V

The best zoo that I have been to. A good place to spend 3- 3.5 hours. The two bears there were very active at the time we visited. The other attractions are penguin, oranguttan, white wolf, giraffe, kangaroo, birds feeding area and the tropical rain forest.

DANIEL HOUSTON

Great zoo. Decent size. Lions, giraffes, thinks, brown bears, and many more. There is a summer concert series that is pretty cool. Surprised by how good of a concert venue for a zoo. Good food and beer. If you want to take an indoor break there is a fun indoor play area for the kids. Great place for private events too. Pay to park, but not too expensive. Maps of the zoo offered, but the zoo does offer an app for guidance.

Regina Carter

Contrary to some of the reviews we we're far from disappointed about the lovely afternoon spent at Woodland Park Zoo. I have read that animal sighting could be sparse but for us we witnessed some gorgeous animals close up. The Bears, the Sloth Bear a particular favorite of our group, and the grizzly bears we're remarkable to see. It was difficult from a short visit what conservation standard the zoo has, but seeing so many incredible animals in such circumstances definitely gets you thinking. On a positive note the zoo is large and well laid out incorporating different parts of the world from Rainforest, to Africa, to North America, and much more. The walk through definitely inspires and makes seeing the animals educational and fun. I would definitely recommend but at the same time thoughts turn to the concern for whether the animals are happy, and their space is within the boundaries of the sanctuary they deserve if they are to be part of a zoo.

Ethan Z

Amazing Zoo! I would give this place a 6 out of 5 star review! There are so many amazing exhibits! The animals exhibits were large so the animals can live a good life! The grounds were clean! The penguins were the best they were swimming right by the glass giving you a fun show! The zoo has many different animals from different areas of the world making the experience great, I saw animals I would never see in the wild! Every time you go it will be a different experience because of how the animals act! Daily there are shows too! They let the giraffes go into the savanna so they cross the path 2 times a day! This is definitely worth a visit!

Katie bailey

Always love going to the zoo, love having fun with the kids. Kids love it there, but sometimes the exhibits are closed, and we don't get to see all the animals. Especially for the prices they want, but it's still a very beautiful zoo, we always have a good time no matter rain or shine.

Benjamin Joseph

Great time for the family. We are zoo members and always enjoy our experiences at the zoo. The kids really enjoy themselves.

Alex Sizemore

I loved this zoo. Everything was so easy to find, paths were clean and animals were out and about.

Sebastian B

One word, AMAZING! It's a beautiful Zoo with a lot of animals, fish and insects. You can easly spend at least 5 hours roaming around and admiring the views around( I know i did). The animals have a lot of space to move around and they have everything they need. Sometimes this can be a little problem because you can't see them, so you need to wait for them to walk around. Anyway, it remains one of the most beautiful zoos out there!

Jamie Anderson

Fun place to visit anytime. Especially cool, because they have the holiday lights in the winter and good concerts in the summer. Very well maintained. The only issue i have is that it is easy to get mixed up on which trail you are on. They should have better signs that point the way back to the main paths. Very friendly, and exceptionally helpful staff!

Lacey Rogers

Awesome homeschool days program! The kiddos enjoyed learning about pollinators and raptors of the bird kind. Also enjoyed the rhino talk and got to see Taj and Glen play in the water

Morgan Hawley

We lived this zoo, whenever we travel we check out the local zoo. The animals were awesome, the zoo was clean and snack choices were great

Kat Vrooman

We LOVE this zoo. We prefer going here for the beautiful foliage surrounding all of the paths as well as the amazing volunteers ready to tell you about the exhibits and friendly staff at the food locations.

Samantha Gretz

Caught the bears being fed and the wolves howling, awesome trip! Definitely suggest investing in a membership however, multiple visits up your chances of seeing more animals and keeper talks. Plus, you support conservation efforts, which the zoo is well known for

Krystal Whittenburg

You can get here from downtown by bus. It's super easy and convenient to get to. I went there for a company picnic. The zoo was really nice. Most of the walkways have plenty of shade. Food prices are a little high as well as the gift shop. I would definitely bring a reusable water bottle as they have fill up stations all over the park (and it's free to fill). Will definitely go again.

Courtney Will

This wildlife park is the perfect place to bring kids and adults who just have a love for animals. Walking through this park is like taking a trip around the world. From the African plains to the rain forest, northern Woodlands and beyond. This zoo has gone out of it's way to ensure that the animals are comfortable and well looked after. Just one trip and these animals will capture your imagination and open your mind to how vulnerable these magnificent creatures are. Personally I've made 3 trips with family and friends is 2019 alone and hope to bring the newer generations of my family in the future!

Michelle Vonderau

We enjoy seeing all the animals. Love how they have various things for kids to climb on throughout the zoo. Wish they had elephants.

Jeri Stabler York

Beautiful area. Quite a few benches throughout to take a rest. Liked the fact could bring in lunch/water as food areas expensive. Bathrooms a bit hard to locate. Had a good day.

Rebecca

A great place for family to visit. The zoo is laid out in groups and it is easy to navigate. There are lots of trees along the path making it comfortable to walk around the zoo in a sunny day.

xeht

I have gone to this zoo for the past 15 years and it is always good to see things change but cheap the same familiar shape. They have many options in terms of animals to see and the prices are alright. I think the condition of the animals could be better including the penguins didnt seem to be too healthy but I believe they could work on it. It is always fun to see exotic animals and special guest there. Overall a decent place to takes kids or friends for the day.

Kellie Masters

We love the zoo! Bought memberships for years now we take advantage of tickets from the king county library or from gifts. Plan to spend the whole day and yes you can bring in your own snacks and drinks which helps keep little ones going.

Nicole Czarnecki

Great place to take the family for a fun day out! Great all times of the year, I’ve been in both summer and winter.

Rob T Lewis

Awesome time!! BERLIN, OMD, and THE B52'S!!! Good venue, but if you arrive anytime before 7:PM, PLEASE wear plenty of sunscreen, a hat, AND take an umbrella. Trust me! You will fry!!

Wilson Lin

One of my favourite zoos! The staff are super nice and the facilities are amazing! highly recommend this spot!

Chris Walker

Animals in tight enclosures, a horrible design for the park that means you have to constantly backtrack to see everything, meaning you likely won't have time or energy to see it all in one day -- not because it's so big you can't do it, but because you'll end up backtracking so much that you'll waste so much time and energy. Point Defiance is much better and worth the drive.

Tiina Mõniste

Great Zoo! I really loved seeing the giraffes and the penguins (had never seen them before). There's lot to explore, different geographical sections (great solution), really nice and large areas built for the animals, beautiful paper map of the zoo, many gorgeous birds etc. We got there around 12-1pm and left around 5:30pm if I remember correctly. So it took 5-6 hours for two adults. We crabbed a bite from the zoo cafe (so overpriced and really long lines). Since you can't smoke at the zoo, then we asked the lady who checked the tickets, if we can go out for a cigarette, she said yes. So a perfect service and a great visit!

Kara Alden

Woodland Park Zoo is the zoo I grew up with, and it remains one of the best I have ever been to. When friends tell me "I don't go to zoos, I don't like them," I just take them here. Every exhibit is specially crafted, and you can tell that the animals are being well cared for and their needs are being met. There are many free-roaming exhibits (where there aren't any cages, and birds are allowed to wander and fly freely) and every animal has quiet spaces where they can go to be free from interaction (so you know they aren't anxious or stressed when on display). Woodland Park Zoo also has a huge focus on conservation, both at the zoo and through the many programs, initiatives, and projects they sponsor. This zoo has so many amazing "famous" animals like lions, tigers, rhinos, and wolves. But it also has many lesser known, endangered, or Northwestern animals to learn about. There is even a petting zoo with barnyard animals for the kiddos! This zoo truly has something for everyone. I whole-heartedly recommend this zoo to any animal lover. Take an entire day there so you can absorb all of the encounters, information, and new experiences - you won't be disappointed.

Alex Eby

Our family had a perfect day at the zoo! It was our son's first time (2.5yrs) and he loved every minute of it. He walked the whole way and could not get enough of all the animals! We were also fortunate to see the bears and the lions moving and in full view! The facility is really laid out really well and it appears all the animals are well taken care of. Definitely a zoo you need to check out!

Ian Grabenhorst

Beautiful exhibits with a wide variety of animals. Just wish I had enough time. Spent 4 hours and still had to skip some. Could spend all day here.

Tom Veatural

Always a great place to visit. A lot of trees and animals. You can find free parking on the street. Staffs are nice and friendly. Nice gift shop. A couple of restaurants. Food are a little costly, but you can bring your own food. Pretzels are $6, and cheese is another $2.00 just as an example. It's a great zoo since you always see the animals roaming around. You can tell that they truly care about animals at their zoo.

Matt Gruver

We almost got scared off by some of the reviews. Glad we gave it a chance. Loved the zoo. The animals were out and about and the layout is great. Even the landscaping is different for each area and done well. Cafeteria was bad and overpriced. Seemed paid parking should have been included with admission. We had a busy day and didn't want to spend too much time there and still spent over 6 hours.

Regina Price

Animals look clean and healthy and did the zoo just a great place will be going back.

Travis Williams

So much to see and nice and clean. Best part is that there are volunteers all over and will tell you all about the animals there.

Tamara Mann

Great information in the exhibits. Strong focus on conservation and animal welfare. Animals were active and seemed well taken care of.

The3rdUprising

Great little Zoo within Northern Seattle. A huge selection of different animals from across the globe. Clean and friendly vibes. All the animals were up and about. Deff a great way to spend half the day.

Nisha T

My son loved it had an amazing time. So much to see, you'll definitely be there all day so plan ahead water, snacks all that good stuff.

Erik Dykeman

Love the zoo. Exhibits and enclosures are roomy. Orangutans are our favorites.

Zach Tichelaar

Wow what an awesome zoo. The enclosures look great and really new. The put a huge emphasis on education with their boards and with their volunteers. They have animals I’ve never seen before (a mane wolf). One thing that stands above the rest is their aviary in the tropical section. Wow. That’s hands down one of the best aviaries I’ve ever been in and would come back just to go see that. Overall they have a great message through out the zoo, conservation is a MUST

Sloan Moran

Really great experience! Make sure you set aside a lot of time if you want to see everything. 3 hours was not enough.

Jim Hart

Beautiful zoo. I think we went during nap time or something. Expansive enclosures, which is great. But it's really easy for even the biggest animals to find a hidden spot to snooze.

Zach Smith

I was surprised by how lovely this zoo is, it's really well set up and feels like you could stroll around all day. This is a great place to spend a wholesome few hours on a nice day.

magi flores

I expected to be there 2 or 3 hours but actually ended up being there for 6 hours, there was so much to be discovered. My kids had a blast! It was about 2 years since the last time we went.

Dia Vasjim

Beautiful Zoo with lots of animals and things to see. I was impressed by how huge this place is. Lots of animals from around the globe. Very surprised to see some rare animals from central America "The Tapir " for example. Lots and lots of play area for the kids. Picnic areas too. The have face painting and Hena. Also, there is a nice Carousel. Not impressed by the food court, it was dirty and the food didn't look appetizing. But I really like the outside food court restaurants. Overall, nice and fun zoo.

Maged Assad

Decent size zoo. We used the city pass instead of purchasing a ticket from the window. The lion was out and the tiger which was really cool. However they dont have elephants. They had baby giraffes and rhinos. They had a petting zoo as well. We covered the zoo in 3 hours

Rhonda Gilezane

It's super easy and convenient to get to. I went there for a company picnic. The zoo was really nice. Most of the walkways have plenty of shade. Food prices are a little high as well as the gift shop. I would definitely bring a reusable water bottle as they have fill up stations all over the park (and it's free to fill).

Sejin Zhao

Absolutely freaking amazing!!!!! Highly highly highly recommend regardless how old you are. It’s so so big park area and so much you could learn from different enclosures. Ticket is so cheap for its value. It’s insane how well organized and well structured everything is. Staff is helpful and professional. The park is so big that we had to eat lunch there. Food is pretty good. Very happy experience.

Judy Hahn

Everyone at the zoo was so friendly. The place was clean and big. But the two best moments were when we casually stood next to the peacock whilst it spread it's feathers, and the special giraffe experience feeding giraffe Dave up close and personal. It was nice to chat with the zookeeper about the care and life of the giraffe as well.

kim guerra

Took my 3 year old and 5 month old there! Had a great time. Loved the indoor play area where my daughter could run around and we could sit and relax for a moment! The staff we came into contact with were enjoyable and it wasn’t over crowded which was really nice.

Summer Holeman

We spent the whole day here! The weather was chilly so the animals were out and about putting on a show. I forget about this little gem so close to home. We packed our food in and admission was not expensive (unlike larger zoos) so it was not an expensive day. And so many fun memories for the kids.

Zachariah Collins

Great zoo! All the animals have really nice habitats

DezaRae Anderson

My grandchildren had never been to a zoo before so this was the highlight of the trip I believe. Most of the animals were out and they really got to see all of them and enjoy themselves the only thing that could have been better is not have had the band playing out in the grass area so that the animals would have come out. We were unable to see the wolves.

Aditee Jadhav

Good zoo. Many animals. It was raining when I went here. Most animals preferred to be in shelter and we could not see them all. At few points, there are so many dense trees that it almost feels like in forest. Take a map and roam around.

Samantha Morrill

Has a lot of fun. Wish more animals were visible but that is to be expected. There were a lot of employees around and willing to share information which was super helpful! One even pointed out a baby wallaby hiding in his mamas pouch. The kids LOVED that! We never would have noticed otherwise.

eric anderson

Great place to spend a day. Obviously lots of animals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can't wait until next visit

Justin Bahnsen

I love this zoo! It's huge and the animals generally have a lot of space to roam. They put a lot of effort into rescue and repopulation of endangered animal species. Plus, there are a ton of trees, which means there is good shade all over the zoo, makes it very comfortable on a warm, sunny day.

Laura Bensona

We enjoy visiting Zoos when we travel. This zoo is a very nice place to visit. The animals have room to move about and live in a more natural setting for them. It is nicely laid out and honestly it is worth a visit if you enjoy Zoos. It was about s 10 minute Uber ride from downtown. I’ve included a few pictures from our day. Definitely plan on spending at least 5 hours there as a minimum.

Such a wonderful zoo! They are doing amazing things for their animals, who all seem to be happy and healthy, and animal conservation in general. I spent about 3-4 hours there and enjoyed every minute.

Celia Topping

Wonderful zoo. All of the animals in natural environments. Very well laid out

Annie Millard

The exhibits were put together very well! The animals seem to be well looked after. The aviaries were so wonderful. Many birds were allowed to roam in the area. There were only a couple of exhibits that didn't have animals.

Ehren Damitz

First of all, let me just say that the crow exhibits are amazing! The fact that this zoo provides so much of its space devoid of other animals, and instead filled with crows and ducks, to me really shows that they are there to support our local avian community. They probably have a raccoon breading program out back. Also, the security guards where very helpful. At one point one of them told my family and I that the zoo was closed; later, the same guard caught up to us on his bike and let us know that the zoo was still closed. Super helpful reminder. The front desk person rocked it with an amazing suggestion that we wait in line for zoo tunes 1.5 hours early; epically good call.

A. Wong

Great place for the entire family. Lots of tree shade so it's somewhat cool even on a hot day. Path are wheels chair and stroller friendly. It was Awesome!

RON TANZI

A great, fun family outing place with lots of well-cared for animals from every continent in a beautifully landscaped park. A play area near the family farm section is perfect for getting pent up energy out and lots of excellent bronze sculptures for kids to engage with physically and there's also a carousel! Adults $22.50, children $13.50, and toddlers under 3 years are free. Parking costs extra.$$

Deanna Huffman

Very friendly, nice zoo. Lots of volunteers helping visitors with fun facts about the animals. Lovely day!

Bill Cube

Amazing fun. Show up early, wear comfy walking shoes, and plan to stay all day. I recommend buying the membership right away if you live in Seattle.

Tyler Guthrie

This is definitely an pretty good zoo. There are a lot of different animals and most have some sort of zoo keeper lead educational program at different times on different days of the week. Some of the animals are shy so we didn't get to see everything but everything was great. There are plenty of shops too if you need a souvenir. 8/10 would look at trapped animals again.
