DESCRIPTION

You will be able to see all the feddbacks of people who used the services and products of West Coast Game Park Safari (Zoo) in Oregon area.

At present the business gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score was based on 1062 reviews.

As you can see the average score it has is really good, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.

As you know, we don't usually bother to write tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

This Zoo corresponds to the category of Wildlife and safari park.

Super Shopper

I have mixed feelings about this place, but I won't get into those. They are there and I am only rating our experience. My kid loved it. Got to pet many animals including a baby bear and a wild cat. Cool animals. Reasonably priced. Cool shirts in the gift shop.

Donald Thurlo Jr

Great for kids and adults, the animals are great, lions, tigers and bears oh yah, that's right black bears too

Jason Thornton

We've been here twice now, once seventeen ago, once recently. Great place for kids to see animals up close. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Never too packed as it's tucked away along the coast.

McKay Nielsen

Very fun collection of different animals. Definitely worth stopping to check it out.

Camille Minton

Such a cool place! I'm glad I went. I think the prices were fair for everything they had there. I also loved that you got to pet some of the animals they bring out.

Zachary Miller

I had a lot of fun here. Wear clothes you're okay with getting a little dirt on.

Joy Kodani

I'm not a huge fan of zoos that keep animals in smaller enclosures, but these at least look well maintained, and I've seen worse. The herd of deer, sheep, goats and donkeys that follow you around hoping for a hand out (you can buy ice cream cones full of food when you pay for admission) are cute, but be prepared to walk through a lot of droppings. I appreciated the camera holes in the fence for the tigers and lions. The baby animal petting of critters like a groundhog, o'possum and ferret are great for kids.

Cindy Holst

I absolutely love this place! Everyone that worked there was very nice & very educated about each animal. The animals were well kept and clean pens. I enjoyed petting Zander! Well worth the money we sent getting in and at the nice gift shop. I love that all the money spent there goes towards the upkeep and food for the animals. We will be back this Summer.

Andrew Elder

Staff were great and they obviously have many amazing animals and while I don't know the story of how they came under the care of Oregon Safari and I'm certainly not an expert; It doesn't take one to see that some of the big animals are clearly under stress including visible sores and constant pacing from some of the cat's. They're probably under good care and fine but best of the best it isn't.

Lisa Fitchpatrick

Fun stop!! Free roaming goats, lama, donkey and deer. Several hands on. (Small cats, raccoon, skunk, possum, ferrett) They sell cones of food to feed the free roamers. Nice afternoon!!

muriel king

My 10 year old granddaughter had a wonderful experience petting a baby bear, and other baby animals: lynx, cervil, raccoon, ground hog, ferrets, oppossum. She loved feeding the goats, sheep, deer, and donkey. We made some great memories!

Margo Evans

Loved all the farm animals. I felt sad for the caged animals especially the lions and tiger. They looked sad!

Teresa Anderson

Was so fun. Brought our granddaughter there and she absolutely loved it !!

Teresa Kendler

Loved it. Make sure you watch out for the droppings. The bears were the best. Loved being able to pet all the animals.

Sarah Kupfer

Such a fun place for toddlers to run, play and learn about animals. If you go on a sunny day you can easily spend all day here with a toddler. The price is a bit high but definitely worth going at least once.

Richard Lowe

Great interactive presentation. A little on the pricey side.

Jana Langhoff

Great information would be nice to know what baby animal is available for pictures but other then that very easy to search and find what you are looking for

Dillon Peterson

Bonnie the Bear really puts a show on! I thoroughly enjoyed the park, and certainly recommend going if you are in the area. I would even recommend going if it's out of the way.

Andrew Herrera

The first thing you see when you walk in is a chimpanzee that makes fart noises at you. After the novelty wears off, you start to get the vibe that she's trying to tell you something, at which point you have to walk away because you realize there's an intelligent lifeform that you're loosely related to locked in an enclosure half the size of a mobile home.

Sharon Lambrecht

Wonderful animals and staff. Great fun! Got to pet lots of babies.

Damon The Pirate Chef Wolfe

Must place to go when in Bandon..very cool place..lots of animals to pet..

Marisa Scalese

Great time. Awesome animals. Excellent staff.

M R

Kids loved it. You can walk right up to all kinds of animals. Plenty to pet.

Rebekah Anderson

Didn't get inside, super pricey. It would have costed us +$100 and we couldn't see in. Outside looked a little run down.

tony stevenson

This place was great. Animals are well taken care of. They offer hands on with their current baby animals. The dear walk around with you and you can feed them out of your hands.

Grace Kennedy

I love this place. It's a must see when in Oregon. People get great immersion with the animals. The animals look healthy and happy plus the staff is very nice. It is a great place to take children and adults to help spread knowledge on animals. It is also wonderful to see the efforts that the staff is making to help raise the numbers of these endangered species. It is important to keep in mind that the animals do roam free. So wear shoes that can get dirty and expect slopes or unevenness in the path from wear and tear.

Sai Marie

This place is amazing! You will not be disappointed, they work off a great honor system in that they will allow you to go back out to your vehicle and return to the park as long as you go to the parking lot and remain there. They have affordable pricing for feeding the loose petting animals and the baby cats and bears are just majestic. You will LOVE this place.

AARON MARTIN

I had an excellent time there with my wife. Great place to take your family. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

PCB P.C.B.

Can't say enough great things about this place. It's a must go when in Oregon

John Hewitt

Great time. The kids loved petting the brown bear cub and feeding the animals. I would recommend this stop for anyone who loves animals.

Linda Guerrero

This place was great! And so were the people working there! Very informative.

Kimberly P

Cute park and something fun to do for a couple of hours. Holding the baby possum was pretty neat.

Jeff Bathke

It was fun to pet some young animals such as lynx, serval, o'possum, skunk, raccoon, and groundhog. Many of the cages or pens don't seem to give the animals much room. It was concerning to see how minimal the fencing was around the tiger and lion. There's a herd of deer, sheep, goats, and a donkey that follow you throughout the zoo and occasionally nuzzle you to ask for food.

Alyssa MW

It was a cool place to visit, lots of animals roam and follow you for food. (Although naturally, there is a lot of feces around) However, many of the cats were stressed and pacing back and forth, especially the male (Orange) tiger. The little red foxes paced back and forth and in circles and one of their ostriches showed signs of stress as it’s tail look like it was plucked. Their enclosures were also very small for the size that they were. Other than this, it was an okay experience.

Jason Miranda

It's a great, if small, wild animal exhibit/park. What they lack in size though they make up for in hands on experience. My daughter was able to pet a bear cub, lynx, cerval, deer, and tons of other smaller critters which is very uncommon in my experience. We didn't pay extra for any of those experiences either! The free roaming deer, goats, llamas, etc. We're definitely the highlight for the park and really sets it apart from other places I've visited.

Eric Liu

Amazing number if unique animal encounters. I pretty a baby bear and a baby raccoon! Plus many more.

Angie Bushnell

The experience was a good one, though I did feel badly about the lack of space that was given to the larger animals. There were a lot of pregnant goats and many of sheep that looked like their coats needed to be sheered. Other then that the staff was pleasant and very knowledgable and it was fun to pet the animals.

Candi Girl

Love this place. Staff are always so friendly, definitely care about the animals

Whitney Wright

A little busy but lots of animals to see and they love when you feed them! Kids had a blast.

Wes Wright

Nice place. Lots of animals. Deer and goats and sheep just walking around with the people.

Scott Flamholtz

Nice place. Some enclosures too small but most were adequate. Goats, deer and sheep of all kinds, with their run of the place was nice. Nice animal encounters also.

Vonda Constantine

Love this place. 3 year old granddaughter had a blast interacting with the animals

Sarah Arun

We loved watching the bears play and feeding the animals.

Nadalia Liu

The free range animals are cute but they try to steal all the food in your cup and follow you around. There is poop everywhere on the ground and it would be a miracle if you didn’t have any in your shoe when you leave. Plus, the big cats should NOT be there. Their cages are tiny for their big sizes and in some there are even two in one small enclosure. But, despite all that, there are many cool animals there, like the 4 horned Jacobs Sheep. Although they say that they’re the nations largest wild animal petting park, some of the things are not very well kept.

Dustin

Lions, Tigers and Bears.. Oh my! Kids love being able to touch such cool animals. Bears were wrestling around in and out of the water the entire time we were there. Lions and Tigers were hanging out within feet of the fence. Impressive animals.

Cynthia Romero

Absolutely love this place and we make it a point to stop at this petting zoo every trip we take to the coast. It is small but the staff is very friendly and always willing to talk to you about the different animals that they may be showing. We enjoy feeding the wandering animals and being able to pet some of the more wild animals such as the lynx and the baby lion. Great place to take the family as long as they are not afraid to get up close and personal with the animals.

Cynthia Heintz

Wonderful experience! I got to visit with my son and his wife and 2 young children. I was enthralled with the variety of animals and so very impressed by the extensive knowledge of the caregivers. So much fun and such a rare opportunity to actually pet so many young animals! The enclosures were well maintained and the free roaming deer, goats and donkeys were so sweet and really added to the charm. I will definitely be going back!

Joyel Moore

This has been my favorite place to visit since i was very small. The nursery visit was really great. We got to hold or touch all the animals they brought out. The handlers were very considerate of the people wanting to experience the animals as well as making sure the animals were safe. The handlers were very knowledgeable in all the areas where we were able to pet the animals throughout the park! The cashier was very pleasant and helpful too! They are doing a great job at keeping the park cleaned up.

Danielle Ganieany

Anytime your within an hour or two.. you have to stop in here! We love petting the baby animals.

David Hufft

Such a cool place. Can't wait to go back. Go in the spring when the bucks are in velvet, it's awesome.

Caitlin Kepple

Would give zero stars if I could. If you like animals, don't go here. The cages are clearly way too small, and almost none have any grass or trees for the animals to sleep on. The free range animals practically climb over you just to get the ice cream cone filled with a bit of pellets, which makes me wonder how much actual food they get a day. I'm honestly not sure how places like this are still legal. Very sad.

Gwen Anderson

Staff is friendly and animals are close. Opportunity to pet wild babies.

Stevie Bristow

I love this place so much! I went as a kid and I can't wait to go back I had a blast!

patrick rudolf

Cool animals but the cages seem a bit small compared to other game parks I've been to. Lots of goats and things walking around to let, but also lots of poop to dodge. Lion roaring was pretty sweet. The demonstrations were well done and hands on. Would recommend.

Ouijamaru

I spent a few hours here, the baby animals they bring out to let you pet is a pretty unique experience. A little more expensive than expected but I definitely got my monies worth!

Zac Hembree

So much fun. Petting a baby tiger, lion, and other awesome animals was a blast. Make sure to contact them about which baby animals will potentially be available, but the staff and grounds were awesome. Pricing was great, my wife and I had a blast, we will be back.

dilya khamroyeva

Cute place to visit but definitely not worth the drive up up from Salem and they don’t have any elephants or giraffes :( also the animals in the cages look like they’ve given up on life but the goats around the park are super friendly (:

Cora Montgomery

A great family experience, a little costly but a once in lifetime chance to see tons of different animal species up close, more personal than the zoo and you get a chance to pet exotic animals during special "showing" events!!!!

Andon Lyon

Great place to bring children to view various animals and even pet or feed many of them.

Carmen Anglin

This is a wonderful place to see and touch animals from all over. The facility is clean, the animals were amazing, and the staff very attentive!

Ariana Walker

Animals walking around was fun, petting animals was fun. It's not something I would like to monetarily support but it was worth one trip with the kids.

Brenda Felix

Excellent park, staff is very courteous and strict on how to handle the animals. Safety first!

Shawn Manley

Really hands on. Amazing Cats and Animals!

Mark Beach

Kids loved it! I did as well! A goat tried tried to eat my shorts. I held an opposum. Kids, 12, had a great experience. Talked with a guy who seemed to be employed as a keeper, and he was enthusiastic about the animals and their personalities. As others have noted, living space seemed small for some. Then again, what zoo-like place have you been to that really has space equivalent to natural habitats? Unless you go "on safari" you are not gonna see the animals that excite you about animals! Cool place! Thanks!

Raine

Great park.. very friendly staff who care for the animals.. had a great time with the little animals..

Jordan P

The staff are super friendly and helpful. I feel the cages for the big cats are far too small and feel inadequate. Many of the cats are constantly pacing back and forth, I don't know if this could be due to stress. I hope they can get more land and more staff to help enrich the lives of the big cats more!

Jonathan DeVore

Oh I love that place ❣️ I just went there a week ago, although I didn't go through the drive thru, it was too expensive for the 3 of us, the rest of the place is free

Patrick Mccarthy

Loved it, a must see . best place to interact with animals.

TIna Neubauer

This place was so awesome and fun ! Even my 13&18 YR. Olds had a blast

Lorenzo Tegl

Always worth the trip. Both kids and adults love the interaction they get with wild animals from near and afar.

Ares Esias

Loved this game park so much! Lots of different animals, great interaction with the animals and the guides, and plenty of things to do

Eric Nordhaug

Awesome a little pricey to get in but worth it lots of exotic animals some to pet and hold and you can feed farm animals and deer

RON SCHAEFER

GIARDIA!!! I got giardia after visiting this spot. Hand sanitation station was out of order and the only bathrooms I found were occupied and dirty. Obviously not enough bathrooms either. If the hand sanitation section was up and running or if it is going to be soon I suppose my review would be different maybe 2-3 stars depending on bathrooms Overall, pretty disappointed. All large cats seem to be placed in smallest areas as well.

Shon Haskins

Absolutely had a great time, the entire staff was terrific and kept us entertained and included in everything

Nathan English

Really liked the layout of the park and the roaming herds of sheep and goats to pet. Wish the wild animals had larger pens, but since they are trying to breed the endangered species I know this place has good intentions. Got to pet a bear cub, lynx, and cerval so that is definitely a unique experience. Most of the cats were sleeping in the afternoon which was dissappointing, but understandable.

Arkadiy Arkadiy

This is animal abuse. They have an old chimpanzee sitting alone in a small cage + several african leopards walking in circles (sign of distress) in their cages. I couldn't find any information about what they're doing to enhance the quality of life of these animals (it's not on their website, nor their employees tell anything about it), so I'm giving this place 1 star.

Stefanie Clark

Amazing experience. A must go fo with the family especially kids who get to do so much here

Addie Pena

The park is relatively large, maybe a two hour trip to see everything. The animals are in cages that are more than likely the minimum requirements, though you can tell they have tried to give the animals toys and other enrichment. The animals seem content, with the free-roaming goats, sheep, and deer loving every minute of the attention and food. The real downside was the chimps; their cage was too small, they need waaay more room, and a bit more privacy. They brought down the jovial mood right as we were leaving.

Danny Robertson

Getting to pet a bear cub was awesome. We all had a great time here and all of the animals were up and moving. We will definitely come back when we are back in the area

Brian Zarek

This is a great place to visit and bring the kids. Plan to spend several hours here and make sure to buy several cones of treats to feed the animals. We brought a baggy with us last time to put the spare cones for easier transport. We were able to pet African servals, a baby bear, chocolate skunk, groundhog, ferrets, deer, donkeys, goats, and llamas. Probably others too...

Ella Shinar

It was a great experience, goats and deer roam freely around and there are great interactive presentations with the animals but the larger cats didn’t have nearly enough space, they were clearly restless.

Brenda W

I love it here. Its nice to see animals that are so well cared for and loved. The park is clean and the animals are all friendly. They have the sweetest babies.

Allen Isakson

Love this place. Plenty of friendly animals to see and play with. They aren't shy about wanting snacks though, lol. Also the chimp was hilarious.

Michael Gillespie

It's okay to visit once, but expensive and many of the animals are in cages. I would not pay to go back. Wildlife Safari in Winston is far better.

Robert Pfander

Petting and holding animals is awesome. Feeding the free roaming animals was fun (they're kinda pushy). The staff wasn't bad. I felt bad for the adult animals... Not a lot of room for them to move around and they don't seem very engaged. It's great being able to see such a variety of exotic animals, but they don't seem very happy. And the free roaming animals drop their bowels everywhere. There's really no avoiding dirty shoes.

matthew mockry

Smaller then expecting but really cool place. The kids loved it

Sarah Anderson

Kids had fun and it was a blast for sure. LESSON: Deer like the cones and the rest want the pellets! Sneaky things will take the cone from your hand!

Breonna Jensen

Amazing staff, great animals and loads of fun. Easily spent almost 3 hours here without noticing.

Miss Mu2U

This past weekend 11/01/19 I took my out of town family to Bandon. Our first stop on the list was the West Coast Game Park Safari. This experience was absolutely depressing. The cost was $20.50 per adult, there was 4 of us and one 3yr old child $10.50. The price for all of us was around $100 with animal food added. Upon entering the park you are greeted with the extreme smell of urine and feces and not the usual smell of an animal park, like extreme. As we started our journey around the park we noticed that the size of the enclosures were extremely small to accommodate. The first cage we saw was the chimpanzees. There were 2 of them in an very small cage. They looked sad and unenergetic. Absolutely no room for them to get proper excercise. Next was the lion and although he looked like the only one in his cage it was still very small for such a large animal. Just enough room to maybe pace around. The female lion and tiger enclosures were a bit larger but not much. As we kept on there were many enclosures that were empty. We passed by the zebras who seemed ok. The buffalo are huge and barely any room to roam around and there are about 4 of them. The bear enclosure had 2 bears and one was just doing laps in circles, still not enough room for these large animals. Then more empty enclosures, a pond filled with murky algae and a few birds. Couple of tortoises and then it was time to exit. The little goats, deers and sheep that follow you around are adorable but very mangy. I understand these animals release themselves everywhere as they walk but there was TONS of it everywhere, no staff anywhere keeping grounds clean or to even ask questions to. All the animals looked very depressed, lifeless and their fur patchy. Every enclosure is way too small for the animals. The animals do not seem to be getting proper excercise. This place overall is just depressing and a very sad atmosphere and dirty. Even our 3 year old who adores animals and loves the zoo was put off by the vibe of this place and kept asking to leave. It seems like this place puts very little into the wellbeing of the animals and just does the bare minimum and banks on tourists passing through. At $20 per person I'd say so. I honestly do not understand how there are positive reviews for this place.

Rainie Kirkevold

Mixed feelings about this place. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff who really seemed to love the animals and shared great information about them. Getting to pet a bear, a lynx, a skunk, etc. is amazing and the free roaming goats and deer you could feed was great as well. The part that seems not ok is the large cats and chimpanzees in pretty restrictive cages. It was hard to see them there.

Krystal Furr

Do not go here. This place is not right. The animals are in tiny cages. They have young workers letting large lines of people handle the animals. The animals were obviously frighted and or uncomfortable. There’s a bunch of deer and goats running around in their own filth with poop all over them and people feeding them. The food drops onto their coats and the other animals pull out hair trying to get it. I’m not sure how this place is even legal but there need to be some major changes or it needs to be shut down.

Shannon Richards

This place was amazing! Fun and interacting! So many amazing animals! Staff 8s great and informative!

Jason Wilson

Awesome place. The cats dont seem to have enough space but love the atmosphere. The deer are so sweet.

Steven Heckel

Soooooooo many goats, beautiful creatures though otherwise

Alishia Rodriguez

We are from California and we have been here a few times. My kids love it (even though they are in their late teens and 20's now!)❤ The interactive time with so many animals is so much fun and the staff is so friendly and caring. It is so nice to see such amazing animals in such a great environment!

Garrett Green

Super cool place! Never seen so many animals wondering around. I have 5 kids and we have been to many zoos and animal sanctuaries and never been to one like this. We even got to pet a serval and lynx and see a baby bear! Kids loved watching the bears wrestle around in their pool. We will be back.

Adrie Hurst

Everyone was nice and knowledgeable. The animals were fun to see and pet but they could definitely have more room for their living space. The petting zoo animals were pretty aggressive especially with the little ones. All in all it was a fun place to visit.

Eugene Hogan

This is a great place to take your children or grandchildren or just to go yourself. There are many animals walking around that you can feed.there are several animals that wander the grounds and will follow you you can feed them and pet them. Depending on the day in the animals that are there they will bring different animals out for you to pet. The day I was there we were able to pet a bear cub, an opossum, fox, raccoon, ferret, and a couple of other small animals. Some of them you can also hold. I had an opossum sitting on my shoulders for a few minutes. They also have some larger cats and bear.

Heart

I loved this place. A decent sized area to walk around and see various animals. Free roaming deer, goats, peacocks, llamas, chickens, etc, etc. They have hourly events where you can sit with and pet various animals. On my visits they had a baby black bear, opossum, baby leopard, fox, and a linx.

Krogan Dor

Loved the interaction beetween the trainers and the animals

Tami Barrera

The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. They helped us all be comfortable with the Wild Life that they tend to daily.

Ronda Hunsaker

Had a wonderful time. Clean and kid friendly. Lots of different animals.

Mark Gonzalez

Amazing they have a walkthrough petting area and many amazing creatures!!

Another Hero

For what it is, it's more or less okay. Look for the farting chimpanzee All the animals are interesting, but as ever with captured and enclosed animals, what space they are given doesn't look spacious enough and the caged animals all seem incredibly bored. The big cats look especially displeased. The smaller and younger ones still seem to be having fun. Overpriced and disappointing for adults, children and children at heart will enjoy feeding and holding the free roaming animals, but don't expect to get what you pay for.

Loretta Moore

Expensive but lots of animals to see. We enjoyed it alot. Over $80 for 4 people to get in.

Tiffany Coker

Absolutely amazing! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the animals. So many different animals!! You have the opportunity to pet quite a few animals

Rebecca At Gmail

The free range animals are fun and adorable. They can be a little demanding with the food, which they clearly get plenty of. The caged animals are breathtaking to see so close. The enclosures do seem small as others have mentioned but the animals all appear well cared for. Having the opportunity to pet the babies and have the up close meet and greets with them in nothing short of amazing for the absolute animal lover in me. It is clear the care takers and animals have a strong bond and are well loved.

michael green

It was a great day there but it cost $20 per person for all day so go early. You can pet a lot of animals like bear, bobcat, deer and more. Just don't tease the chimpanzees, they will throw poop at you.

Laura Himebaugh

Was a great day here with my husband!!!

April Sublett

Such a cool place that let's you get up close to animals you never though you would. We had deer literally eating out of our hands, and got to pet a baby bear cub!

Road trip Mutt Naboo

If you truly love animals do not go here. It's incredibly depressing.

Kristi Wedmore

I've loved this place since I was a kid. A little smaller than I remember it. Wish the cat pens were bigger. But still love that they bring different baby animals out for people to see and pet. Great way to make people fall in love and want to save animals!

Cindy Laks

Self guided and the signs with info on each animal were not there on several or torn so bad you couldn't read part of it.

Elizabeth C.

We had a great time while we were there. It took us about an hour to walk around and see the animals. Kids really liked the goats and other animals that roamed around.

Mariah Frank

They kept us very busy petting animals and educating us on each animal while we were petting it! We loved it!

Jolynn Allen

Took my daughter there for the first time and she loves it she was really excited to pet the baby bear

cindy watson

I've been at this Safari over and over. I use my grandkids as an exuse to keep coming back

Rick Pennington

Great place for kids to interact with wild animals.
