REVIEWS OF Great Cats World Park IN Oregon

Jonathan Reichert

As a lover of cats big and small, visiting Great Cats World Park is always a treat. The tour guides are always friendly, informative, and ready to field any questions. It's clear they take great care of all the animals in their care. My kids also love it every time we visit. We've been several times in the last few years, and I'm sure we will visit many more times in the years to come.

Aubra Johnson

Very clean and organized park. The animals seemed well taken care of and not stressed. A place for all ages to visit.

Mark Parcel

A must see. So informative. Many beautiful cats.

Si Keating

Great experience! I loved my visit!!

Traci Mogster

Crazy to stumble across this place unexpectedly. The wild cats are amazing, but it is hard to see them in cages.

MONTANA PANIC

They are absolutely excellent especially with the tours and they take extremely good care of their cats so i do recommend going here and also amazing staff!!!

Nes Borne

Very educational place, guide was helpful in explaining the cats behind the cage. Go there early so that it’s not too warm. Biggest cat they have is the tiger - no lions when we visited the place. Easy highway access - you can’t miss it.

Kristine Thornbury

It was very fun and informative. They provide a guided tour of all the animals they have, tell you about where they came from. The tour takes anywhere between an hour to an hour and a half. Not a lot of shade so bring the sunblock and glasses.

Daniel Robinson

Wide variety of wild cats on display. Extremely knowledgeable keepers and guides throughout the park to answer any questions. Not all the cats on the website will be on view at any one time, as they rotate them. Park is not huge, so the guided tour only took about 1.5 hrs, but you can wander around as you see fit. Definitely recommend the tour, as they will feed the animals so you can see them real close, although some are more willing to cooperate than others! Wide walkway areas are ok for disabled access, seated areas are available in front of each animals area so you can sit and watch them. Well stocked gift shop for all things wild cat related! Parking lot has areas for large RV parking. Worth the drive to see these big cats up close.... You will not be disappointed!

D B

Pretty awesome little spot, not too pricey at fifteen dollars a person. A good variety of big cats to see including several kinds of jaguar and two tigers. They mostly lay around -they're cats after all- but they get energetic during feeding time. There are parts of the park you can only see on a tour so if you an hour and a half I would recommend taking it.

Erin Smith

If you are in the area, this is a MUST VISIT location. The cats in this park are beautiful and the staff are very informative. My first visit was eight years ago, my second three years ago, and my family just got back from our third. I can't wait for my next visit!

Natalie Dobbin

We love this place! The tours are so informative and the staff is awesome.

Amanda Richards

Neat place! Take the tour & get really good information on these awesome creatures.

Lindsey D. Carrigan

We weren't sure how this would be but it was actually really cool. We were surprised to have a guided tour to tell us all about the cats. This place participates in the Species Survival Plan for a couple of endangered cats so it is legit. The cats were beautiful and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Maleah Starr Jorgensen

The cats are well attended and look healthy, even the older ones. The tour was very informative and interesting. You can think of the entrance fee as a donation to their laudable cause of preserving these beautiful big cats (and small ones too) and educating the public. Of course additional donations would also be accepted.

T Tuttle

An upclose & personal place with beautiful cats. Very educational. Well worth the price.

Mike Lindsay

Very informative, and the cats were beautiful. Plenty of shade at the the individual pens. Really enjoyed the tour.

Rory Snoop Kat

Dope. People should go here more, best zoo area for a couple of hours (Wildlife Safari in Winston)

Del Aldridge

Was a very educational place Loved the cats

Shaun Young

We pulled in here on a whim while driving by and were taken aback at the beautiful animals and knowledgeable staff. The cats overall seemed quite content or otherwise happy and curious. This was definitely a surprise highlight for us during our trip that we will think about for years to come. Would come back if driving back. The price is very reasonable also.

Wendy Lindsay

So much fun, we love this place. Beware of standing to close to their kittens, you will get scolded but only because they care about the welfare of their animals.

J T

Fascinating! Definitely worth a stop! We learned so much about the different wild cats. Make sure to take the guided tour, the staff is very knowledgeable and personable.

Zoe Thompson

Great place, loved how informative they were on the tour. They are strict a out leaning over the railings so don't take it personal if they scold you, it's just for your safety. Also had a great tour guide and gift shop.

Jyotsna Thorvi

Great place to be... On the border of California and Oregon coming north... Don't miss the guided tour.. Very informative and passionate guides. Great lineup of cats. It's a preservation and breeding place basically which is very well maintained. Cheers guys! You are amazing!!

Jennifer LaRue

Get ridiculously close to these beautiful animals. Walk the park on your own or with a guide. $15 per adult.

Tony Simonelli

Very awesome place. All the employees were kind and informative

Stacy Jones-Malik

Pretty good your for the price. Lots of big cats in separate cages and a lot of good info about each. They have some sun shades for guests to cool under that spray a light mist of water. The bathrooms need help.

Denise Graham

Animals are well cared for. Guides are knowledgeable. Fun learning family adventure.

Sandi Thompson

And amazing experience with some of God's most beautiful creatures on earth! I learned so much just in the few hours of visiting these cats. The knowledge is awesome.

Abdul Salman

Best O'Regan experience shout out to Nicholas Fuller for the referral

Igor

If you didn't see wild animals you should visit this. Tigers, wild cats, lion ets., They taking care very well after animals. But the lion looks pretty old and tired. Cages pretty safe so don't worry. There is a gift store. so you can memmorize you visit. Also you can make private tour instead of group tour.

Jeff Jensen

For the area you can't find anything like this within a few hours. The cats are amazing! There is one place in Roseburg Oregon that has a wider variety, but you won't be as close or see the same types of demonstrations. Totally worth supporting and especially seeing from the little cats to the big ones.

Darrin Moir

Get the chicken brunch sandwich. It's a delicious surprise.

MJ White

We had such a great time here. Stopped on a whim, but was so worth it. We didn't wait for the tour, but went around ourselves with our four boys ages 4, 5, 13 and 15 and everyone enjoyed the time! It was HOT, but they have little misting stations all around the area and you can stand under them to cool down. The cats weren't super active, since it was daytime and hot, but this crazy thing happened. The black jaguar started stalking my four year old who was jumping from bench to bench being the "Black Panther". It was CRAZY, kind of scary, but I mean there is a hefty super tall fence between us, but still nerve wracking! Then the big white tiger got all super close to us and was really acting like he wanted to eat me... all in all pretty exhilarating haha. Worth it.

Chris Haydon

Was a great experience.don't pass this up

Lisa Pullen

Kind of sad to see all those beautiful cats behind chain link. Tour guide was friendly and well educated on the cats. Tour was on going so there was very little wait. Peacocks and families walked around the park as well. Good place to break up a long car ride. Glad I went but I doubt I would go again unless someone asked me to. Gift shop was nice. Clean bathrooms.

Gvan707

I really enjoyed it, bring water though.

Melissa Mathis

Love this park. Lots of cats to see. Recommend the tour.

Vicki Hale

A very cool place, except for the fact that I called before going & asked about the yours, & was told they go all day & that we should be there an hour & a half before closing because that's how long the tours last. We got there at 1230pm long before closing, when we went in to pay, I again asked about the your, & this time was told, "Oh well we arnt doing tours today because there isn't enough people", I said that's not what I was told An hour ago when I called, she said "well we only do tours when there's enough people"! I feel if that's how it is, when people call in & ask about the tours they should be told just that, not lead to believe that there are tours going on all day & that they will get to go on one! That's why we went because of the tours! It is A very nice place!

Vivien H

The Great Cats World Park is really neat. As a family we enjoyed seeing all the big, and little, cats from around the world. They had babies there and they were adorable! The crew is friendly and answer all your questions. It was an enjoyable family outing.

George Glessner

The staff are knowledgeable and very nice. The facilities are clean and the prices are reasonable. They really care about the cats and it shows. Great day trip or even a quick stop for an hour or so on the way to the coast.

Carrie Matheson

Overpriced. Unfriendly. Not even half of the cats that they advertise on their website are there. The white tigers are aggressive and jumped at us. I have been to cat parks and zoo's, and have never had that happen before. Something isn't right.

Silas Shanafelt

I love them.

Sally Gombocz

Loved the place and thought it was a wonderful place. The people are to be commended on their kind taking care of these beautiful cats. I would recommend the place to anyone.

Carla Korrell

Love this place but haven't been there in several years

Heidi Narum

I was expecting this to be a lame sort of zoo and was pleasantly surprised. The animals are interesting and very well taken care of. Hannah gave us a very interesting tour. We loved it.

Tana Hammond

One of the coolest places I have ever been! I was so excited to see my favorite animal the tiger up close and all the others up close. That was great can't wait to go back

Brittany Russell

Very informative! The animals are beautiful!

Ashlind Sellars

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING , AND IT WAS SUPER CHEAP AND SUPER FUN I REALLY RECOMMEND IT !!! but wear sunblock!!

Lori Grossman

Wow!! So much more than we expected. You can drive through the park twice to see the animals. Also you can get out at the Village and see more animals. There are Camels and a train to ride. Very special place.

Sarah Arun

Up close with amazing cats!

Jody French

Love the big cats and they brought out tiger cubs we could interact with. This was a great experience.

Barron -

A great place to stop. Cats seemed happy even in the rain. Clean and well maintained. If you go. Please control your kids and read the rules!

Haley Gress

Loved seeing all the wonderful cats they have along with their peacock and African porcupine! The staff was amazing and shared a lot of amazing facts I didn’t know about some of their cats. Our tour guide was newer but did an amazing job at answering questions and interacting with the amazing cats.

Stephanie Harshman

This place is amazing if you like tigers or any kind of the big cats you've got to stop and see these the tour and the people there are super knowledgeable and awesome

Natalie Wood

Beautiful animals & and the staff was great to

fitterthanu

Fun and exciting time looking at beautiful cats.

Jessica Wood

So many wild cats! You can get really close to them too, much better views than a traditional zoo. The staff was a little standoffish. I hope the animals are all treated well. They seemed to be happy and well fed.

Nicole Koch

Great place to learn about and see wild cats. Theres about a 45 min tour with a guide who educates everyone and takes questions.

Ramvira

The tour was very informative and definitely not boring. Highly suggest taking the tour than just walking around by yourself.

Jason Hamblin

I've been driving by this place for years and finally stopped. Glad I did we had an amazing time. Although I wish I had more time so we could have taken the tour but we just wander around looking at the cats it was really cool. I would definitely recommend it.

WhittlesWhitterz W

We really enjoyed our ability to follow a guide who really knew the animal and to learn more about it. It was sad to hear that so many are either going extinct or are now on the extinct list. I'm glad to have been educated while there.

Bob Galindo

Place looks amazing. Closed at 3:45 even though we called ahead on a Saturday. Too bad. Better luck next time.

Dorothy Moore

Loved it. Tour takes over an hour but so worth it. The guides get the cats moving and very informative.

Brittny Burch

My absolute hands down favorite place to visit when in Southern Oregon! Its $15/person and you can do either a guided tour or just walk around yourself. I definitely recommend doing the guided tour because they feed each cat and it's far more entertaining since cats are typically shy & hide in the back if they aren't getting food treats.

Thomas Parsons

Such pretty cats, great lil tour and Great lil break from our drive across the mountain.

Kristen Anderson

My husband and I have been here many times and each time we have an amazing experience! The your guides are incredibly knowledgeable also! Will be back again!

Heather Goble

We had an amazing experience! I highly recommend going on one of the guilded tours the staff loves their work and are all incredibly knowledgeable!

sabrina jenson

This place is very laid back, you don't feel rushed during the tour, they don't pressure the animal's to do anything that they don't want to. They state that "They work for the animals, the animals dont work for them".

Jennifer Hemenez

Beautiful cats. I have never gotten to see so many cats, so close. As a bonus, we got to pet a Lynx. Please visit and support. They do an amazing job of taking care of these beautiful animals.

Lizzy Brown

Super friendly and informative staff. The girl gave us a TON of interesting information on tigers, they had Incredible and unique cats. And surprisingly they come right top the edge on the fence so you can see them really well. the price is a little steep but the experience was phenomenal

Genevieve Golden

I have lots of fun great cat world park today.

Meghan Bloom

Very informative and so cool to see. The animals appear to be treated well. Looking forward to getting to go again someday.

Nathan English

Educational and I liked the feel of the place, would have been cool if we could pet a baby kitty tho!

Neelam LaBrue

Excellent staff and very courteous and informative information. Cats were beautiful and cared for. Admission a bit high but think of it as donating to a good cause.

Shane Atkins

One of the only places you will be able to see and interact with these animals without getting killed.

Stacey Vaughan

They are awesome, they do a great job all of the cats and enclosures are clean and healthy

debra smiley

Learned a lot. Great experience

Michael Crotts

Good place to see beautiful animals and a grate learning opportunitie

mcelden

Beats the zoo, I was blown away, about 5 foot of space separates you and these cats, maybe even closer, it's not glass either it's a fence, don't care about the admission every cent is worth it. Highly suggest this place for all ages!!

Brock Barr

Really enjoyable for all ages. A must for cat lovers of all ages.

Big Smoke

I exreamly recommend you come here

John Sheelar

Best place to see up close and learn about big cats and how we all need to do our part. Would love to see Craig one more time. 2006 was last time.

T Wolf

It was an amazing experience! To drive at your own pace and explore the landscape for exotic animals was a unique experience. We had our young grandkids and they did not get bored at all. You can pay extra to feed the critters along the route and we had an ostrich and a couple exotic deer come to our windows. Note: you can NOT have your dogs in the vehicle when you drive in the park. There is a free kennel, if you want a lock that's 5$ extra, and the kennel is not supervised. It can take about 1.5 hours so plan accordingly. There is a restaurant and other smaller animals to see walking by the restaurant area. Highly recommended.

David Clark

Love this place. Incredible spot to stop at along a trip to the coast. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Awesome experience to go and see animal preservation in action, with very good treatment of the animals. Go support a good cause and get an unique experience you will remember!

nicole vigil

This place was amazing!!! We just happened to see it while we were passing through, and decided to stop. The whole family loved it!! Very educational and fun. We got to see big cats that don't normally get to see, not even at the zoo. I would highly recommend going!!!!

Lauretta Pri

This place is very well kept up. The animals are healthy and cared for and the people who work here are very knowledgeable. Visit! Donate!

Cody

Great facility. We are gonna revisit after November when the baby lions are back from traveling

John Meeker

For what it's worth it was pretty nice and the animals look will cared for

Ginger Cane

Such amazing animals and a great tour! You get to see them very close. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. The cats seem healthy and happy. We stayed about 2 hours and felt we were able to enjoy it all.

Becky Trotter

Though I detest animals being locked up in cages, GCWP is there to protect the kitties. Unfortunately some of them are going instinct and wouldn't last in the wild. It was reassuring that the people that worked there was obvious they loved and cared for the animals. I wish there had been some Cubs to pet/hold. They are a very laid back , easygoing group that works there and is a nice place to explore

Jenn Lane

This place was great. Friendly, nice staff and very clean facility.

Ty White

looks like a small place from the road but they really have a nice place for these cats

Chance DiFonzo

Beautiful big cats. They are doing right by the animals and all the big cats species they are protecting .

Victor Staten

Great cats world park trained Steve Irwin! Walking tour was very educational.

tosha 1

Wasn't a cat, tiger fan until I went to this park. They are impressive. Great information. Enjoyed the guide Donny, I believe. Spoke to the director who has 37 yrs with big cats and you can see the love and respect he has for them individually and the nice looking park they live in.

Naomi Webb

This place is amazing! The cats are so beautiful! Worth the money :-)

A Google User

The tour guide, Amanda, was very enthusiastic about her love of all the animals. Her appreciation for the cats was beautiful! Enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Kelsey Waters

Such a cool little place right off the road. Have driven by here many times, but never stopped. Now that we have a toddler who loves animals, we figured we'd give it a try. Really amazing how much they do in the big cat community, from education to breeding and preservation. Totally worth it to pay them a visit.

Andrew Beam

Great place to take your kids even great for adults recommend to everyone

Edward Paxson

It checks off all of the boxes and is the best option in the area, but I didn't think it was worth the price. The cats don't have enough room and I got stabbed by an overgrown, thorny plant in the walkway. Save your money for a great zoo.

James Dundas

Probably the only place you'll be able to see exotic cats this close up

Matthew Ball

This place is making great strives to save all the amazing tigers

Cameron Luke

If you can make it to cave junction, this place is amazingly worth the $15 admission to the tour. Our guide knew alot about the cats and made sure to use kid friendly language so families wouldn't be offended. All proceeds from your purchases goes directly back to the cats of the park. Would love to go back and see them again. I recommend this to everyone who can go there and take the tour. You wont regret it!

Arim and Mimi

This place is the best. It has tiny, cute cats and big, beautiful, dangerous cats from all over the world!!!

Joe Tilghman

Great stop to see some awesome cats up close. Inexpensive and the money supports the kitties.

william maurer

I really enjoyed the big cats

Brian Gordon

Very knowledgeable about the animals and they seemed well taked care of
