Can not recommend this place enough! Worth the drive from Kansas City all though we are lucky enough to have my in laws living ten minutes from here. Today we took ten kids. Aged 3-13 and they all loved it. So did the adults! Big beautiful animals that you can see close up. Fun for the whole family. Worth every penny.

Beyond what I expected!! This place was wonderful! The tour guides are great, we had Leaha! She was very knowledgeable and answered all 1,324 questions my 7 year old had! It is great to see the good they are doing for these animals! The animals are very much loved by the owner as well as the tour guides! Would definitely recommend this to anyone!! We have been to many zoo's and have done many things as a family and this was by far the best zoo experience that we have ever had. The staff is so wonderful!!! Our tour guides were amazing. Most zoo's you go to, you just walk around and look at the animals...and if your lucky you get to catch a show at 11 or 1. At this zoo, every animal is an experience. They feed the animals in front of you and tell you all about them. You can tell they love these animals and care so much about them. Our tour guide literally let a grizzly eat a cookie out of her mouth! Wow! And the bear had so much love for her. We are so impressed and will be back with more family next month. I can't believe this is 1.5 hours from Tulsa and weve never been! The owners are also so nice and inviting! Tom, the owner, even walked outside with a baby kangaroo for us to hold as we were leaving for my little one to see. You dont meet those kind of people often! So impressed all around! Dont miss out on this place! It's more than a zoo! It's an experience!

My kids loved this zoo! All of the animals were so up close and were excited to interact for the treats being shared with them. You can tell the owners love their animals and have a passion for keeping them healthy and loved. It was larger than we expected. The only downside would have been our tour guide, sometimes he seemed a little disrespectful of the large cats power and strength, that made things a little uncomfortable. When the owners did part of the tour, though, it was gold!

While this isn't the San Diego Zoo, it has a surprisingly good selection for a small-town zoo. The Caney Zoo was once famous on national television for its three white-tiger cubs that were raised by a Golden Retriever mom after they were rejected by their mother. I'd highly recommend stopping by if your in the area.

Impressive animals and a very close up view. The tour was educational and fun. The animals seemed happy and responded well to the care takers too. I was unimpressed with the lack of room they have in their pens. Their signs all over the place about how evolution is a lie is odd considering you'd think a zoo would care about science. It is a private zoo, they can do what they want. I found the signs most entertaining part of the experience.

We took our grandson to visit the zoo and our experience was wonderful. We watched the tour guide and workers interact with the animals and gave us an up-close view of the habits and characteristics of the animals. The animals are more like big pets to the owners and workers. You can't experience this in a big zoo environment.

Unbelievable. A real, up close and personal view of some really extraordinary animals. Privately-owned. Incredibly knowledgeable staff who really know their animals well. A chance to interact with the animals like no zoo I’ve ever seen. Much more intimate than the experience you get at big public zoos, like Omaha or San Diego. Hard to imagine a hidden gem like this exists in Caney, Kansas!

WOW, was here yesterday and it was awesome, Alexis our tour guide did an incredible job as the speaker for the tour, she was very knowlegeable and keeps you informed about each and evey animail along the way. all the animals are very lucky to have such a staff that truly love what they do, , Go with the VIP tour because you get to pet some of the animals and also get to use the pool. Tom was a very cool person and even shared with me a little history about the place, his house that he built by the pool is awesome, what an amazing build!!! Will definitely go again!!!

Hold baby kangaroos, snakes (only if you want), baby alligators, lizard things, get a monkey to hold your hand, see an 800 pound grizzly wave high and kiss the tour guide, etc. This place is THE BEST. They’re great owners, too, with a humane practice and a focus on G-d. Don’t come to Kansas without stopping here!!!

We held a small corporate event in their treehouse space and it was a huge hit! The animals were active and we got the VIP pictures with some of the animals. Tom was a great host and Mary a fantastic guide. Tom was really flexible with our event and helped us make everything go perfectly. I would strongly recommend the Zoo for corporate events and just general visits. It exceeded my expectations greatly.

Really amazing and unique experience. I definitely recommend the max package which let's you hold a lot of the babies and pet anything that is pettable. Take a watermelon with you and they will quarter it, and feed it to the bear. Seriously, pet all the things. The owners and tour guides were all amazing and you are at max 4 feet from any animal.

This park is such a gem. We just took our 5 young kids through it and loved every minute. It is family and friend run and they work nonstop. They are so friendly and make a point to visit with and educate you the entire time. They truly love their animals which really appear more like pets and loved ones. I highly recommend this park and would definitely make a point of going again should we ever be anywhere near.

Had a great time at the Safari Zoological Park with my friends! We got the VIP, which was so worth it. We got to pet the all the baby animals: an arctic wolf pup, a little a rescued baby deer, a big ol python, little tiny coatis, lemurs, a kangaroo joey, and I got to hold a cockatoo (a bit of a dream of mine). We also saw a cute bear, white tigers, various monkeys, alligators, hyenas, porcupines, wolves, and much more. 10/10 experience for any animal lover. If anyone wants a cute little trip to a place that's way better than any of the zoo's around here, definitely give Safari Zoological Park a visit! Very nice and friendly staff and volunteers, the whole place was just so exciting and cozy.

I have family in Coffeyville and have spent many summers there so I don't know how I never new about this amazing little zoo! I have been to many big city zoos that have million dollar exhibits but none compare to the education and closeness to the animals that you will have here!! If you are anywhere close to Tulsa, Joplin, Bartlesville or anywhere in between...it's definitely worth the drive to visit this zoo!!!!

I brought my sons (13 y.o. and 3 y.o.) today and we had such a wonderful time! This was our first visit and we did the VIP package. It was well worth the money and the hour long drive. We got to hold a lot of animals, including a lemur! We were able to bottle feed baby camels and deer, and give animal crackers and bananas to many of the caged animals. You don't wander around on your own like in a big zoo. Instead you travel with a small group and tour guide. This allowed us to see the lions, tigers, bear, and wolves being fed. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals. He helped my 3 year old spray water for the tigers (who apparently love to get wet)! The animals all appeared well taken care of and happy. There was none of that pacing back and forth with dull eyes that you sometimes see with animals at zoos. These animals were lively and paying attention to their surroundings. The owners are very kind and you can tell they love what they do. The whole experience was much more personalized than any zoo or animal park we've ever been to. We will be returning every summer!

The animals and people are absolutely wonderful! Very educational and they take their time to make sure everyone gets a great experience; they even remember your name which can really throw you off but otherwise we loved it. We'll be taking more people next time. Highly highly recommend. It's 15 for adults but you'll get 6x the worth

Best zoo ever I have been to zoos in Europe and states side, and I have gone on Safari in Africa. This is by far the best animal experience I have had. Safari Zoological Park is owned by a wonderful couple who loves and cares for the animals. Each animal is part of the family. The tour guides are clearly passionate about their job will do their best to give you the most unique experience you had a zoo. They feed the big cats, play with the hyenas, kiss bears. I recommend this to anyone big and small to go experience at least once in their lifetime. I also highly recommend the VIP tour to pet and hold babies.

If I could I would give more stars! We traveled from south Texas to come here specifically. My family had such an AMAZING time and already want to go back. The ladies that did our tour were fun, very knowledgeable and nice. The owners were lovely and made sure to make us feel welcome and made sure we had a great time. The animals were fantastic, very well taken care of and we loved them all! Best we have ever visited! I would recommend everyone take a visit here, you wont be disappointed.

Amazing collection of animals! Tom and Allie are wonderful people. Our tour guide was, Alexis. Much better experience than a typical zoo. The enclosures are far away enough to protect you and the animals. But they're close enough to feel like you're right next to them! The guided tours allow you to ask questions and learn details about the animals. The guides interact with the animals, so you can watch them eat, and experience many of their natural behaviors. The zoo is 100% privately funded, so costs a few dollars more than usual. And it is absolutely worth it. Also, if you pay extra, you can feed, pet and hold some of the animals. Again, totally worth it!!
