REVIEWS OF Arbuckle Wilderness Park IN Oklahoma

Felicia Lynch

The staff is rude. The park is run down. The animals seem unhappy.

Heather Brown

Very disappointing! Waste of money!! The owner was yelling at the staff inside the gift shop when you first arrive. The website shows rides and rock mining which neither were functional. The walk through part has broken railing and nails sticking up. There is trash and the water is extremely dirty. The pony rides was one pony walking alone. The reptile house has no ventilation and there is only 1 turtle and 1 lizard. The cafe and ride area is like a ghost town run down and abandoned. On the drive thru part several animals have visible injuries. The roads have washed out in some areas small vehicles bottom out or get stuff driving thru. The website is SO misleading! There is NO comparison between website and place

nattlie monjay

Was really fun. Not all the animals were out because it was too cold but they had a large variety for such a small town.

Terrie Paige

The Arbuckle Wilderness Park was sooooo much fun! The animals had me in stitches with laughter. The animals were so eager to get the snacks and appeared to be very comfortable with people. When they saw the car coming they headed for the road. It was just a real delight to interact with all the animals. There was a great variety of them as well.

Sarah Gaines

This was a pretty cool place. Great for kids!

Carol Gardner

I felt sorry for the tiger and rihnno in cages by there self ,the rihhnos pond was dry up ,they need water or mud to stay cool ,to much breeding going on for the donkeys ,loved the camel's , Most anmials where at pond trying to stay cool ,need to close if so hot , anmials aren't coming up to cars there trying to stay cool, waist of money .the place really run down.

Joshua Schwab

I just feel the animals didn't have a good environment. But other than that a fun experience

K Sch

Great time, no more go karts or pony rides. Kinda ran down bathrooms could definitely use some work

Steve Davis

This was a really great experience. Had no idea that this drive through Wilderness was so big. Family had a amazing time.

Krystal Mayhew

We went as party of a bachelorette party and had such a wonderful experience!

Chris mccormick

This wilderness park is the best one I've ever been to. The people in the store/office are so pleasant and helpful. The animals are SO much fun to feed. Careful they'll try to take your whole cup.

Tammie Rudman

The first time we went there it was a pretty good experience. The second time we took friends to the park and unfortunately it was not very good. This park is very expensive and we drove through half of the park without finding any animals. During the entire experience we got to feed lots of donkeys, some ostriches, and Buffalo and a zebra and maybe a couple other animals. The roads are bad and it’s just not worth that much money. I would pay maybe $10 per person.

Sarah Williams

Looks severely run down and like the animals aren't properly taken care of. Really disappointed.

King KO

Great place to take your children. It's even fun for adults. Great experience!

Ultimate Cheese

This place was awesome except the animals can be scary at times but they are sweet and I had a great time with my family

Summer McAfee

U need a vehicle with really good tires. The roads moderately rough, but was a fun adventure with family

Amanda Hill

It cost way to much money for what you actually get. For 5 people and 3 22oz cups of food it was $95. It was so not worth that at all. You manly see donkey's and geese, there are 2 zebras a sad tiger a very sad rhino (who by the way needed water) some llamas and camels oh and 1 giraffe that was behind a few fences. The roads are so bad, so unless you have a truck or a 4 wheel drive dont attempt there roads. This was my 3rd time going I went 20 years and 10 years ago and it was much much better back then. I feel really sorry for those animals because it doesn't look like those high prices are going towards thier happiness at all. I would suggest fossils rim in Texas or the wild adventure in Gentry Arkansas both are a much better bang for your buck and the animals seem to be better cared for.

tracey sotelo

This was a great experience. You drive through and get to feed the animals, they come right up to your car. However, the dirt road is really rough has a lot of holes, so you have to be careful (don't recommend taking a low car through there).

Amy Stover

Great place, gift shop is decent priced for a gift shop. No the walk through is not the greatest but the drive through is GREAT. Yes there is a few spots in the road that are washed out but its not as bad as some reviews say. This is our 3rd or 4th trip and it's still a great place to take the kiddos.

LIBIN MATHEW

Zoo is good Enjoying self driving in there as a trucking...... Just enjoy .... Not too much animals......near by animals is good experience... And view is so ambience....

ro dro

My son loved it. Could use some updating and gonin a truck road would be tough on a car

Misty Brown

Me and my husband really enjoyed it. Was I first time going just wished there was places along the way to be able to buy more food for the animals.

Dawsen Harbison

I wish they had more animals and really they seem to all be very docile. It was $40 for 2 adults and three cups of feed

John Fitzhugh

Very few animals, mostly donkeys and llamas. A few camels. No activities were available. The admission price for what you got was very high.

Israel Ramirez

One of the best self tour zoo's I've been too very active and fun for kids and adults

mepoli33

The prices have been raised somewhat high 14 dollars a head, no matter what time you come I to the park. But it is SUPER beautiful and conversation a lot of space so everyone isnt super congested. Lots of activities like a slide and ziplining. The food was overpriced though and I wish the park officials had done more about the guests leaving their trash everywhere. But overall, I LOVE THIS PLACE

Briana Packer

It could be a great experience but to see how terrible the animals are maintained is saddening. I took my kids there to try something different and fun but instead of leaving happy my kids left sad for the animals.

amber rodriguez

It was totally amazing. I taook my 1 year old and she loved it. We drove right through it and the animals come right up to the truck. She enjoyed feeding all the animals but be careful not to have your windows all the way down cause the camel's stick their entire head in your vehicle. It is a little pricey but it's worth it. And make sure you buy food to feed the animals

Janelle Stahl

The kids loved being able to hand feed the animals

Jennifer Potts

My family if five spend over $80 to get in. We loved the animals. Very cool experience. Roads we're awful! There was no winter discount at all for what we got! The whole walk thru and rides were closed even though we paid full price. There were no working toilets in the women's restroom! Loved the animals but completely disapointed with everything else!

Nicole M.

The drive-thru safari was so much fun! The roads could use some maintenance work so drive slowly and carefully but otherwise it was highly enjoyable. We loved seeing all the different kinds of animals and interacting with them.

A E

It was not that great if I am being honest. Some of the animals didn't look well cared for and I think visitors need to learn that littering is not okay. People were throwing their cups that they purchased the feed for the animals out of the window.

FoxxyBalboa

Highly recommend this zoo, so many animals. Beware the camel's though, they tried to get all the way into our vehicle. Lol

Hemi Beets

This place was a waste of money. The roads were terrible and the animals there are no different than what you can see at your average petting zoo. Such a terrible disappointment.

M A R

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! Staff was very rude and owner even worst! We got there around noon or so and paid over $75 for 4 people. Once we went in the drive about 15 minutes in... no animals whatsoever! We went on a few more minutes and finally just exited the park! Called and told the staff it wasn’t fair that I paid to go in plus the feed and not once did I see an animal other than a poor hiena laying in the sun that didn’t even acknowledge us driving by. So I was turning back around to get a Refund. One of the young girls was very nice and said I’m sorry and yes I’ll see what I can do. Immediately the owner walk in on the conversation and starts yelling at me without manners or a way to treat a customer! Another cashier was extremely rude! I didn’t get a refund and was treated bad! He even came out the door and said if I didn’t like it then to leave! I kept calm the whole time and just told him to take a customer service class!

Tami Ogle

This was a great day trip..Loved the animals. Great place..

kidc0recr4zy

the walk through part was desolate and saddening, all the animals were almost all out of food and water, and there was a big overgrown enclosure that just had a dog inside (his name was toby according to his collar, and he was the sweetest dog i’ve ever met). the dog didn’t have any food or water anywhere to be seen as well. driving through the park and feeding the animals was fun up until we drove past a shaded area that had a dead donkey (?) lying underneath. there was no way this animal was just asleep, it was shoved into the far back corner covered in what looked like flies and you could tell from the road about twenty feet away that it wasn’t breathing. i was traumatized by this experience, it was such a waste of money. this place NEEDS to take better care of its animals.

Daniel Carter

Fun, but run down, needs lots of TLC. The animals looked healthy and well cared for.

Kimberly McCoy

Perfect hiatus for ling road trip home.

tkellnerus

I fed a giraffe, donkey, horses, ostrich, bison, and a few other species. They're generous with the portions of food they give you. If you love animals this is a required visit for you.

Stephanie Kinney

It was so fun and the driving trails are long. Kids loved it.

Nancy Sarcoxie

We enjoyed the experience but the place is in dire need of maintenance. Another review mentioned recent bad weather in the area but that weather couldn’t have damaged the bathrooms or the road. We live near Woolaroc though, so we are spoiled.

Sean Rhea-Imoe

Well it's access into the park needs better work but for everything else is fine.

Melynda Rivers

Its was cold but we really enjoyed the park. The grand kids loved it!

Dallas Cowboys

Had fun feeding the animals. The llamas were aggressive but I loved it.

Shane Doby

The place was pretty ran down. Majority of the animals are donkeys. It needs a lot of TLC

Joshua Imoe

I hate to be honest when I don't have a lot of nice things to say, but here we go... I will start off with the positive things we saw. The price wasn't too bad. When we pulled up it was a good presentation: A big gate with a cool entrance point, a couple playground-type toys for the kids to play on, along with a nice looking gift shop. After pulling in to the place we were quite disappointed with several of the exhibits. The first few animals you see are things you can pretty much go down the street and see at the local livestock barn. The roads are extremely unsatisfactory. We saw more donkeys throughout this place than I have ever seen in one area, and there were a couple that were attempting to make another baby. The kangaroo, tiger, rhinoceros, and giraffe all look very lonely and depressed. There are signs everywhere that say if you want to stop and look at the animals pull over but the roads are so narrow and not maintained so you have to go completely off the road to get by... and in most places it would have been way too dangerous. I give the place 3 stars for price and first impression but it could be much better inside.

Ryan Wedel

I have 3 children, 7 and under. This place was awesome; driving through the kids got to feed donkeys, camels, bison, llamas, emus, ostriches, ponies, horses, Pere’s deer, and probably other stuff I can’t remember. They also got to see four-horned Jacob’s sheep, a giraffe, a white tiger, and a white rhino. We had a snack at the picnic table and played on the wooden train near the entrance. A great time. I did not give 5 stars due to the overall upkeep of the place. They have go carts and rides but they are all closed; the bathrooms are in bad shape with most of the toilets and urinals out of order; there is a wooden walkway near the entrance that is falling apart and should be roped off.

Stephanie Shields

This was absolutely great! Just make sure you buy enough food! There were so many animals to see throughout the entire thing! Well worth every penny!

John Penland

The ride through was pretty cool. The walk through did leave something to be desired.

Bill Robertson

Be very mindful of your vehicle's undercarriage clearance before venturing into this drive-thru zoo.

Jace Jordan

The park does need some fixing up, it seems the last few times I have visited in the last 15 yrs nothing is up and running it's kind of a ghost town. The animals seemed well taken care of and the gift shop was very clean, but I hope they freshen up the rest of the park soon because this was a wonderful childhood place. The staff seem very friendly as well.

Ashley Stults

Kind of run-down from what it used to be but if your kids are young and your truck can take a beating from the drive you will enjoy it. We didn't get to do the walk-through it was closed which was kind of disappointing because we drove quite a ways. The manager is kind of an a*shole . I didn't like his attitude towards my kids to be honest. But we had fun fun memories were made.

Tracie Barron

Dont waste your money or time not enough animals to look at unless you want to see donkeys .... Never will i come back here

Kimberly McFeeley

Loved the experience but the place needs some updates

Jesse Sanchez

They need buckets of food not cups and trash cans so that people don't throw out their windows.

Texas Firefly

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Very run-down. Someone should remove every single animal and give them a new place to live. Very disappointed in how things have deteriorated since we were there last. The gift shop is ok,but way overpriced than what a normal mark up should be. Either they need to shut down or someone needs to take over who is willing and able to put some money into the place. With the way the animals were starving and looking sick, someone needs to do something.

Damion Kane

The whole place is falling down and in need of tons of repair. Someone rich needs to buy it and restore it to how it used to be. Basically if you are cool with paying 19 dollars a person just to see a goat, hyena, one bloated white tiger, buffalo, camel, deer, massive amounts of donkeys and an ostrich then you will love it. But it's sad because the one thing that was always great was all the cute little deer that would run up and eat out of your hand and now they are all home they just have like a dozen huge ugly deer. They are quick to tell you no refunds no matter what because they know how pathetic the place has become. Blake Shelton or toby Keith should invest and help fix it up if for nothing more then to help the animals.

Keli Fink

I have enjoyed Arbuckle Wilderness since I was a kid. Such a neat experience to see and feed animals up close. It’s like driving your car through the zoo. The property is huge and it really is a pretty drive throughout the park. I gave 4 stars because I’d like to see a few adjustments. The feed is sold by the lb. so we bought like 5-6lbs. I was given a few 20 oz waxy paper cups to feed the animals with. (Donkey teeth are not 20 oz cup size, knowhatimean?) You figure out how to use the little cup but I was surprised that they would use a non biodegradable material, of which is littered throughout the park, that would be safe for the animals. Speaking of donkeys, they and the geese are smart, they all hang out at the front area right as people are coming in and full of food! By the time we got back around to the buffalo and camels we were out of food. It was cool to see a giraffe, the white tiger and the rhino but they did look bored all alone, what does it take to have some interaction? At least give the rhino a swimming pool to play in!!

Lisa Gile

I want to go back already! I wish i would have got more food.. or saved some for the zebras and camels. The alpacas/llamas +donkeys destroyed what we had and had to chase em off. Fun place for the kids.. but the roads are a bit torn up.. wish i would have taken an suv or truck. Will be back when in the area or passing through.

Krishna Kishore Kalagara

Nice place to visit and good safari place

Ann

So many closed exhibits. Snake house had nothing in it. What animals they did actually have, I felt terrible for the living conditions they had to survive in. The poor lion looked miserable in the heat with nothing to help him to cool off. We drove over an hour to go here and was so disappointed. Don't waste your money, which is way too much for what they have to offer. Sad, sad, sad.

JH

This was fun for the kids (and wife). The place is really ran down from what it used to be. It has more of what you might find at a farm or petting zoo.

Sonya Mesh

So much fun to drive through and feed the animals. The mini donkeys will come to your window and tilt their heads to the side so you can toss food in their mouths. It is so adorable. Their are many other animals to see and feed, horses, camels, llamas, emu's, buffalo. There was a huge buffalo just sitting by the drive and we put food by him he was a happy camper. There is tiger, and rhino, but they are behind a fence of course. Make sure to take at minimum 2 cups of food per person, or you will run out before the end of the drive. They sell the food in the gift shop which also has great items. It is fun for the whole family we always enjoy when in the area.

Pam Meehan

I took my kids about 30 years ago and it was great. Imagine my amazement when I went through yesterday to see how poorly it was kept. The roads were very bad, even hard on your car. Many of the pens and area where unkept and empty. We saw many animals that looked in poor condition or totally not present. It was a complete rip off. So sad.........!

Tiffany Rubio

The Safari is amazing. So many animals and long enough to be cool. The walk through is a bit of a let down.

Nicole Croon

We had a great time!! Saw a lot of animals even though it’s 93 degrees out! We love the camels, zebra’s, Buffalo, donkeys and the cool Rhino! The staff was so helpful in recommending things to do in the area as well! Would 100% recommend this place. We had to do this before we move away as we know how unique this place is.

Angie Clifford

Dont feed the Buffalo! SUV got head butted and scratched. Roads arent made for a car. Poor place is run down. Looks like it used to be a pretty cool place at one time! Mainly donkeys and emus chasing after you for food! All the rides and shops are closed! And it has one really sad rhinoceros!

Paul Riley

I went here for year when I was little, but now it is run down. It just looks sad. The road is beat up and almost totally gone in spots. The main building is rotting away. The grounds have not been kept up.

Peyton Owens

I went here for funfest and I honestly enjoyed the trip. Although there were few ostriches this time,it was still amazing

Suryanarayana C

I drove 120 miles with high hopes and expectations. The park is not well maintained and just few animals (camel, donkey, ducks, ostrich, lama, yak, zebra and deer which you get through drive through and I could only see white tiger inside cage) and people stop their cars feeding these animals and these poor animals block your way for long time without moving my drive was 45 minutes but block was another 45 minutes. I didn't feel though any great but I enjoyed the long drive from my home to park.

Kristina Storment

Amazing place! Friendly animals and people. We absolutely loved it!

Ali Willey

Fun experience, but you can tell the park has gone down hill. I hope they can fix the issues to make it a fun and exciting park.

Emily Sharp

The walk through part of the park was completely closed due to "construction". The bathrooms had many out of order stalls. Random abndoned junk throughout the park. The drive thru part has far less animals than it used to but you can still get close enough to some animals to feed them. Highly suggest if you are going, buy food to feed the animals. Had some fun but if you're on a budget, I'd find another attraction to spend money on. Overall it's fairly rundown and needs a lot of work – wouldn't be surprised if it closes in a couple of years.

Amanda Harris

Honestly, we have come to Arbuckle three times, everytime we go through the area. We love feeding the animals and always get a good laugh and make memories. It is run down and the roads are harsh to drive on, but we completely support the restoration of this place! Come see it!

John Douglas

So glad we found this place in Oklahoma. We had yearly passes to Lion Country Safari in Florida. Now we have another exciting place to take guest. I do wish thy would offer a yearly pass.

LPENN slider

The terrain is absolutely horrible!!! I mean if u got a small car and it's nice, I'd be weary. Up and down, huge holes, uneven road. Not big enough for other cars to pass in areas. U had to wait behind a bunch of people that wanted to stop for 5 minutes. Animals weren't very exotic either. It's kinda feed at your own risk. Lol. My kids loved it though! Giggling laughing excited to have the animals eat out of there hand. Got some good pics too. It is a little on the expensive side. Pay by persons in vehicle and each cup of food. For 5 people and 2 cups was like $80

robert mollett

Good people... watch out for the donkeys they they too get in the way , and the camels will help them selves to what ever is in your vehicle

Darin Peterson

This is a fun place to bring your whole family. It is amazing that this wilderness park has a paved road to drive on granting year round access even if it rains. Some of the most entertaining animals are not even exotic, like the donkeys, which can be really funny because they open their mouths so you can poor food in directly.

Katrina Jackson

Beware of the Camels. Other than that it was so much fun.

Gary Ivey

They could had more amimals , the review about the roads was all bad , i got my camaro in there fine. but it was a nice drive .

Kris Boyd

This was our first time and while the walk had seen better days, we thoroughly enjoyed the drive! Roads are rough but lots of animals. Better than the Glen Rose TX park and a lot less money.

Michael Koch

Always an amazing experience!!! Selection of animals is great, love feeding the llamas and camels!!

Kaelyn Evola

Most fun any family could have!!

Lora Ogwin

We had so much fun feeding the animals!!

bradley cheshire

I came from Texas to see this and it was a big waste of money. There was only a select few of animals and the animals they did have looked like they were in bad shape

Patricia Grey

Rude staff at giftshop counter - still not quite sure where the petting zoo was... We walked around and saw very distant animals...

Jeffrey Blatt

The camels were pretty aggressive putting their heads in the car (we thought it was funny) and the roads really require a 4 wheel drive (which we had). Family had a great time. Hold on to your cup really tight!

Glenda Stinson

Too warm to enjoy. An epic drive.

David McWhorter

First time visit...way better attraction than Turner Falls. Will visit again!

Dave M

Animals were fun. They are good beggers lol. Friendly staff.

Kris Verakul

It was a cool experience. There were a lot more llamas and alpacas than anything else. And a few mini donkeys.

Linda Kay

Boooooooo....this is a pet cemetery. I didn't mind the price but to see very few animals barely alive and not taken care of was disappointing to say the least. These people are a joke and I felt so bad for these lonely, mistreated and lifeless animals. They truly need some TLC truly disappointed.

Ken Wood

Road repair, needs road repair. Aaaaaand probably some new management or owners. Had a great time though. Seen the abandon cages and the dilapidated dinosaur trail and wondered how cool this place was when ran correctly... the camel was the coolest dude!

MoBro

Not too bad. Kids loved it. Seems like they have some revenue challenges. A lot of things need to be improved like restrooms. But they are doing well with what they have.

Cherry Geren

Great place really a fun tour to lots of animals

Melanie Melanie

It's an amazing experience, but they really need to fix the roads. Buy plenty of pet food because you will need it lol.

Clouded Judgement

Walk through was a let down... llamas and alpacas super aggressive for the food. Had a good time overall. Weekday afternoon trip.

Molly Boland

DO NOT GO, STAY AWAY. They double charged me on my card, when I called about this matter they denied it happen. They said it didn't happen and was my bank and my problem. The girl double swipe my card. The manger was very rude and when I said my review was not going to be good, he said he would sue me if I wrote anything bad. (Yeah) do not have this in writing but it was said. He did text me saying his staff did double swipe but she said it was cancel out. Bank reported it was double swipe and they were paid twice. This place is awful ,pot holes that that are huge. Expensive (for us it was 14.99 per person in car). Not care for, ran down a needs lots of up keep. I wander what kind of care the animals are getting. I hope they get more food than what visitors give them. The grass around the road is barely 1/4 inch tall. GO TO OKC ZOO, better care of animals and good staff.

Bekah Billings

Our family visited the wilderness park & enjoyed driving through & seeing all the animals. Price was not bad at all. The place was very run down though... Many fenced areas were empty, the walkways to get to the petting zoo badly needs to be repaired, the reptile house was hot (no ac) & dark (we had to use our phone as flashlights to see where we we walking) & didn't really have that many reptiles. Most of the other attractions were closed & in disrepair. It looked like they have go cart track & "gold mining" but they were not opened. I hope that they are able to make improvements because I think what they have are some great attractions they just need TLC & more workers to run it.

Eric Tobiason

Fun place to take the kids on the weekend.

LaRayh 22Burroughs

Not as many animals..When we goto Turner falls. This place has always been a must. Best part was the camel....

Shane J

Love this place. Great choice to relax and take a drive

Terry Wells

Nice place for children to have contact with calm animals. I wish they had more different types of animals.

Anaya Harshbarger

Preety nice has fat animals go there in the morning to feed most of them watch out for the camel will take your cup and does not care one bit over all preety cool and good for young kids

Jackspadeproductions

Arbuckle wilderness has plenty of animals to see from l, and it’s very fun to feed and interact with them Unfortunately the vast majority of them look like they weren’t in the best health What really irritates me the most is the whole winter and absolutely atrocious roads I was expecting some basic dirt and gravel road nothing to high end, but what I received was some of the absolute worst driving conditions I have ever witnessed If the roads were patched up and The animals looked a little happier it might be a better place Not the friendliest staff but they get the job done ...

Karathy Bean

It was fun. The road needs work done. Be careful if you have a low riding vehicle.....

Rodney Criqui

Get up close to animals, purchase cups of food, drive along hills and animals seem to have their own area they wait for visitors to drive bye, camels have horrible mouth oddore, slime you, easy hour visit good family outing.

Larry Ferguson

This place is a blast. Llama, alpaca, cows, donkeys, bison, zebra , emu, and camels come right up to your car and eat the provided food right from a cup. $16 per adult and 6 cups worth of food for 10 bucks. Worth every penny. It took us over an hour and a half to crawl through the park in a car and I don't remember having any more fun than I've had doing this. Truly a unique experience. Please keep your arms and head inside the vehicle at all times and don't mind if the animals also keep their heads inside your car. All the animals were well-behaved and none of them tried to bite or be aggressive. The geese however did block the road so the llamas could get more food. LOL. This is one heck of a joyride so take your time. A must-see

Amy Dahl

Went through the drive through and loved it. The animals are so smart and know where to stand to get you to stop. We had a ball.

C Curtis

This is a lot of fun. BE CAREFUL, the path is very jagged and you could pop a tire. They REALLY need to repave the path. It's a lot of fun though!

joe angel olivares

I had a fun day long ride but too see the animal's .That white tiger with blk strips gabe me very great luck .after there went to Winstar played mighty cash the tiger won the GRAND .other then that will be going back soon

Elsa Hamilton

Has great potential! All exhibits that were listed on website, were closed except the actual drive thru, which should be renamed llama and donkey town, because thats the majority of what you saw. The roads through the tour , were in horrible shape. And 5 of the 6 bathroom stalls wwre out of service. It needs some TLC. This place could be fantastic with new management or investors. I hope this place thrives and is able to make improvements.

Riley C

So very disappointed. I used to visit AWP as a child and it has definitely changed since then. It seemed very run down and the animals were very lacking. There were more goats and other ordinary animals than anything. But my two year old didn't know the difference and he had a good time so that's all that mattered. I feel the hours it took us to get there it wasn't worth it. It's a shame because I have fond memories of Arbuckle.

Melanie Braune

The actual driving through and feeding the animals was great. Do not even bother with the walk through/petting zoo/reptile house part. The bridges/walkways look...really worn. There was NO employee or anything at the itty bitty petting zoo (literally like some goats, a couple sheep, and a very sad looking emu). The walk around the walkway was terrible, very steep at some parts, and it was WAY further than it looked. The reptile house was not even cool inside and I honestly did not go more than a couple feet in because it looked so dark and dank in there (again, no employees in sight). I love reptiles but it was just plain spooky as hell in there. There was a random bounce house (?) that was completely unattended. The only other animals were a couple lemurs, a few cavys, and one ostrich. Literally had to call the front desk of the place to have someone come get my sister in law since she was in a walking boot and there was no indication how far it really was. The employee from the front got her in their truck and took her to the front (which was extremely nice of them) and he let the rest of us walk a short cut so we would die of heat a little less. The roads were also pretty treacherous so be sure to take a car with good suspension (pretty sure that's not the park's fault and not much they can really do about that).

Shanda Trees

The good: The drive through tour is so much fun, and there are lots of animals. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have an animal lover. The not so good: It is run down, the inside where you purchase tickets is empty, and if I am being perfectly honest..a little creepy. All and all, I would still say go, just get your ticket, get in your car and drive.

Anna Ashcraft

My son and I cant wait to go back!! We had a blast!

rocio rojas

This place is amazing and worth the drive had so much fun

Paige Dennett

We almost didn’t come here because of all the bad reviews but we are so glad we did!! Yes the roads are bumpy but who cares?! If you love animals this place is for you! This was the most fun we’ve had in a while! Watch out for the crazy camels! You’ll for sure leave this place with a smile on your face!

Joshua Girdner

You would think for 17 dollars a head you could either get a cup of food included, or they could fix their roads. Hope your vehicle likes bumps and massive potholes because that's what you'll get. Yes they have animals that are cool but the prices make it not worth visiting.

Leigh Hilton

We always enjoy feeding the animals. It is never been crowded. The miniature donkeys and llamas are my favorite.

Annette Baxter

It was fun. Could ride in back of truck. Kids had a blast.

David Inygma

One of the coolest things here is that you can drive through and actually see sometimes pet animals. They don't like summer time at all they'll hide but this time of year you stand a pretty good chance of holding a bucket of feed so that when the camel comes by he can smarm you with his huge Grody tongue and camel spit and get all of the grain out of the bucket

Justis Crossley

Super fun watch out for the emu and buffalo, and dont waste your food on the deer (they'll steal your cup). It starts out a little slow but it gets better as you go on.

Samuel Clemens IV

The llamas were quick to snatch the whole cup of feed, however it was an awesome experience. The animals were well taken care of, and seemed happy.

michelle burgstaler

We had a great time and felt the price was reasonable. Get at least 3 cups of feed!! Friendly staff!

Brandi S

The drive through part was fun especially in the back of the pickup! It's pricey and admission is per person not per carload but I'm sure maintaining the park is expensive so they have to compensate. It does seem run down but we still had a good time!

Johnny McMoy

The park was so much fun. My daughter was amazed at all the animals. 5 stars of they would clean up the gift shop and fix the bathrooms.

Starla Blackwell

My little girl loved all the animals....she was really excited to feed them....we had a really good time here today

Laine The Ocelot

Okay so. What the f. We saw donkey's, llamas, mini horses, deer, a few bison, and two horses and a few zebus. Almost zero actual wild animals. For someone who lives near fossil rim, it was different. And some of the animals looked scrawny and in bad shape. It was a big time rip off. We could see some of the zebus bones through their skin. Some of the deer had weird nasty markings on their face. Most of the animals just looked overall in bad shape. Definitely a big time rip off. Don't come here if your looking for exotic animals.

Darryl Shelton

This place was a total disappointment! Do not waste your time or money. They have 1000 donkeys, some cattle, a few camels, and very few other animals. Go to the Wilderness drive thru in Glen Rose, TX instead - much better place.

Jennifer Swan

It's where the animals come right to your door No fence between you. Love when tjey actually come tjrough through the window. Make sure you have plenty of animal feed for all the animals, the trail is longer than you think. Plus the smallervanimals like birds, donkeys, geese also love to it. Keep some baby wipes and hand sanitizer near by. My only hang up is the water bumper carts are gone, pony rides are gone, and no race track anymore, besides that the driving part is worth it. Giraffes, zebras, pigs, Camels, bison, all kinds of animals will come right to you.

Jillian Barca

So much fun! Definitely buy LOTS of feed. I bought 3 cups but could easily have gone through 10. There are so many animals to feed and they know cars mean food, so they hound you! Give yourself 45 minutes minimum to go through. Zebras, bison, a rhino, a tiger, and so much more. Seriously so cool.

Angela Taylor

I haven't been in a long time ,but my boys loved it and have taken their children.

Linda Stubbs

Great for a family outing!

Ra O

Thoroughly enjoyed this to stay the least. First time, since I was a kid, that I’ve been to a place like this. All though I expected the animals to be more spaced out. It was still a fun experience. Definitely not the best drive if you have a small compact car. Lots of hills and uneven terrain

Jenifer Watson

So much fun driving through the park! Only drawback is that the walk through area is a little confusing. Go carts that were not open, a concession stand that wasn't open and several attractions that seemed unused. This place would easily be 5 stars if it was fully operational.

Gary Lay

An awesome family experience all from the comfort of your car definitely worth going!

Dawn Craig

Second visit was just as fun!

Jeffrey Self

Had a great time animals were very active

Aaryn Lamb

It was a fun excursion to feed the cattle, camels, and llamas. We saw the giraffe and rhino from afar. The park needs some upkeep and revitalization.

Brandy Leigh

I absolutely love this place!! I read reviews about it being worn down and stuff but remember they had a horrible storm that tore up structures and trees but luckily didnt harm the animals and I think the animals have a perfect habitat! It's natural and they are well cared for and super happy! The staff was friendly and we had one of the best days we've ever had here! So many laughs too. Great memories! Keep Arbuckle Wilderness going strong for years to come!

William Leasure

Been a few times since I was a kid. Good place for the kids and family, but the place has gone done hill some

T2 Rex Robert

I was just there for a concert but it was still fun (there 4 horned goats are supa coo)

Angie Chisholm

This is the best place to bring the family let them feed the animals and enjoy every minute of it. The staff here are super friendly, and the animals are a hoot. Just be careful, the camels are very sneaky, one stole my sunglasses right off the top of my head right after he kicked my entire head lol!! Lots of fun, and very interactive animals.

Dana Hutchins

Really nice wildlife park and reasonably priced. But not really car friendly. I have a compact car and the were several places that were iffy. Highly recommend if you're in a van, truck, or SUV.

Christi Shields

The road conditions are horrible. There was a rhino, but the poor thing looked on the edge of death. There like a hundred donkeys and they were all cute and healthy along with the handful of other animals.

A Cole

Needs some serious renovations. Very run down and animals don’t look healthy.

John B

Well, it was fun and exciting. However, we noticed a very young donkey who was injured severely and after multiple calls and spoke to management, nothing was done for over an hour and a half while I was there. Was told they were on there way when I spoke to management. But what was odd is the employee never asked me where I was or the location of the young donke. This was heartbreaking people. Serious issues with how animals are treated or in this case, taking care of them while in captivity. Nothing will ever be done unless people speak up. Please, these animals are not in the wild, they are in a setting of such. They are in the care of this company and should be helped in a much better manner. And yes, I get it that the animals are wild and deal with this stuff in the wild. But their not in the wild any longer. They are in an organized environment while making whomever money on their existence. Help!!!

oakie36

Great drive thru wilderness park

Charmaine Osborne

We loved it. The gift shop and welcome center needs some tlc. But the concept and experience was a good time. I’m not a zoologist but the animals seem well cared for and happy. My husband and I had a great time with our kids.

Peggy Harrison

My family and I were very disappointed in the whole experience. We came from Ft. Worth for my grandaughters 12th birthday. The staff was very snotty and did not tell us of any attractions that were available. The animals were were all unhealthy and uncared for. The Rhino was in a pen with no water supply available as were alot of animal's. One of the male deer was in the water and had some type of netting tangled in his horns. I don't understand how anyone can have a pleasant experience coming to this place and seeing how horrible these animals look. I will definitely not recommend to anyone.

Amber

I dont know how anyone could drive this trail without an suv or a truck... I'm thankful for ours. Get the largest bag of food- you'll need it. The animals are all very friendly and snatchy at the same time, a llama stole my food cup out of my hand, a camel stuck his head in the window and fed himself out of the bag and didnt want to leave. It's a fun and wonderful family activity-we all enjoyed it. We got a couple magnets- one separated from its backing and fell off within a few hours of putting it on the fridge- so maybe skip that souvenir when you go. Also please be courteous to others and pull to the side if you're going to sit a bit, the car in front of us didn't. That said next time we're through we'll be going again- maybe by then we'll have washed the buffalo slobber off our car

Debra p

Family had fun. But needs a lot of work animals need more food and water.

Megan Wisener

Such a great time. A wonderful family trip. The animals were super friendly and cute. I would definitely recommend it.

Atiya Khowaja

I rated high because it was good for little kids. They have a unique specie of white tiger. You can see a giraffe, beautiful zebra, giant horse, rhino, camels, deer, reindeer, cows n bulls, donkeys and many other animals, who are hungry and will come to eat the food you give them. Be ready for some bumpy roads. Overall, our family enjoyed the visit

Ashley Froment

My family went to this park in the 80’s. We loved it then and had the chance to revisit the park this year. We had a blast! The animals are awesome, friendly and appear well cared for. We laughed and smiled our whole trip. Thank you for the great experience

Arthur Rosenberg

A nice relaxing day feeding some aquatics and mammals. Animals are everywhere and the acreage is well maintained. Great place for the whole family.
