HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The animals had no problem coming up to you and a few times I thought they would jump right in! Sad the giraffes couldn’t come out because of the colder weather but still 100% worth it! We laughed the entire way and couldn’t stop smiling

Tara Tackett

My family and I won a VIP pass for 6 from a facebook giveaway. We went this past weekend, it has been several years since we last went and we had the best time! One highlight was we were able to feed the giraffes. None of the animals were aggressive or nippy I was a little concerned since my granddaughter has just recently became afraid of bigger animals (she is almost 2) but she was smiling and had her hand out she loved the deer. Hate that it took us so long to get back up there but so glad we were able to enjoy the day as a family before heading back to school next week

Adam DeJans

Small but I had a great experience feeding the animals. Be careful with the bison

Kandy Grubb

We really enjoyed getting to see and feed the animals. They come right up to your car and stick their heads in if you let them. Lol.

Katie Denman

My son is OBSESSED with the giant bird cage, he's 1.5 and walks in with his bird seed on a stick and lets the little birds swarm him. He laughs and squeals and these birds do not care. Its amazing. The safari drive through is cool too. But I bought a pass for the bird cage!

Chirag Purohit

Loved the place. It is fun and full of excitement. Animals are well taken care of and well fed. Wish they have more lunch options as our veggie burger was horrible and would not eat there again

Nolan Johnson

I came here just the other day with my family to check it out and see what it was like. I was pleasently surprised at how close to the animals I was able to get. The animals must have been well trained because they were nothing short of friendly and I was pleased to see that visitors could get close to animals and actually have some interaction. Over all, I was pleased with the time I spent here. All of the employees were generally nice, even the young lady working the front gate, who actually took the time to answer my questions and open the gate for us. We Had a great time and we would do it again.

William H

Great experience, we really enjoyed the shows of the animals and pigs. The driving experience through the park is pretty cool, make sure to hang on to your food cups as the animals figured out if they can grab the cup, they get it all. Pricing is a little high, so keep an eye out for online coupons. My only rub is paying for the camel ride, my wife asked the attendant if she wouldn't mind stopping the camel for a photo, the girl said they cannot stop the camel and technically we are not allowed to take pictures. If I wasn't there to hear it myself, I wouldn't believe it as it doesn't sound right. Other than that, it was a great experience and the walking park is well staffed and very clean.

Josh Lindsey

Produce for feeding the animals is overpriced. There is a small zoo there which was also fun. Keep your windows up unless you are ready for animals to stick their heads in the car for treats!

Robert Hutchinson

Went because we were given free “VIP” tickets. Apparently VIP tickets are exactly the same as regular tickets since we didn’t get anything other than what you would normally receive. Would never go if I had to pay because $100+ for a family of 5 is ridiculous for what it is. Also the price for the feed is outrageous as well. I get they need to make money but they could still make money off half that price. As far as the actual park goes, they need better signage. Can you buy feed at the gate, at the gift shop, where exactly? Then you can’t take the $15 feed you bought in to the walking part. That’ll cost you another $10.95. The employee in the gift shop is just constantly on the phone with customers so the line is long and slow. Have more than one person working the gift shop on a Saturday. And then the rangers, who are just a bunch of teenagers, fly around in those golf carts, cutting off customers in the parking lot and the drive thru section. Be ready to have your car scratched to all hell. The animals are just left to roam free and have adapted to being fed so the deer try to climb in your window and will destroy your doors even if you aren’t trying to feed them. Maybe having some sort of barrier that you drive along and feed them over the fence. Definitely will not be going again and will discourage anyone else from going. Cheaper to go to major zoos.

Mat Gray

A lot of fun, wonderful to be up close and personal with the animals. The budgie cage is especially delightful.

Robert Charron

We had a blast! There was way more to do there than we thought. Best enjoyed with a group.

Kishore Babu

Lovely place. Good place to spent some time. Biggest advice is try to take some rented cars. Best spot is feeding birds. Interested in going again

Michael Brandon

Cool place to take the kids. We were there but got caught in the pouring rain. We were taught that carrots are not good for rabbits. After we left we got to see an Eagle in a field down the street. Awesome expierence.

N Brunker

Went here two days ago with grandson and will not be back due to the poor condition of habitat and visibly poor condition of animals. The animals need to be living in a grassland with trees not in a mudpit with a pond. Too sad to see the conditions here to go back. The operators boast of high ratings on inspections but it doesn't take an expert to see the poor conditions of environment and animals here. A petting zoo down the street has animals in clean safe environment and you can walk through and feed them fresh vegetables and fruit. A much better choice than this place.

Fazal Rahman

Its not bad. Pretty great place. But it's not much to do there. Kind of a smaller zoo but has the drive thru which is fun. A petting zoo would be great if they added one

Gloria Malone

Somewhat scary because you are driving your own car through all the animals but it is so much fun. Buy extra food but don't let the animals see it! They will try to steal it. Staff were very friendly and the area you can walk through was very nice.

PittsburghReviewer

Love this place! It is expensive for carrots but other than that its a fun time. Many laughs and videos to take.

Amanda Howell

Too expensive for what it is. Its good to see once but no need to go again. 24 a person and 15 for unlimited feedings per person.

Rachael L

This place is awesome! We dont have kids and it was super fun. If you buy the normal admission pass it includes the walk through as well as the safari. For $15 extra you can buy wrist band and you can feed tortoises, kangaroos, rabbits, parakeets, and porcupines, in the walk through exibits. You can also buy feed packages for the safari. It can get a bit pricey but it is worth it.

Kalie Kidd

My sister, nephew, and I went on Halloween! We dressed up and got in for free which was awesome! Even though it was raining and windy the animal's were still out and curious! Great place for everyone of all ages!

Dr.Ratna Kumar Duraisingam

Ok reasonable place visit and plenty of hoof stock. They can definitely improve since they in business for long time.

Rae Clements

Highly recommended and definitely worth the price. I strongly recommend you buy the extra food though, because you're definitely going to want it.

Mark Lindenmuth

Expensive for what you get (In my humble opinion). Wanted to see giraffes but they were put inside because it might rain. Animals that you feed from your car can and probably will make a mess of the exterior of your vehicle. The kids liked it. The little walk through zoo (free) was nice.

Emilee Dowland

Pretty interesting. The drive thru part was fun. The aviary was exciting too in the walk thru. Just wish signage wasnt so confusing. Too many signs of advertising to get a clear picture of what your purchasing. Maybe a grid style would work better.

randy kaminski

Great place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and well cared for animals. On the day we went, there had been heavy rains just before, so the giraffes were not out, and we almost didn’t go, but so very thankful we did!

Nicole Weitz

Awesome park! 4 generations went and all from young to old loved it!

diana warner

So we had a great time. Was a bit much with the attack of deer (aka there were so many and aggressive towards the food) and I did end up with a scratch on my review mirror. But the aviary was amazing and my daughter didn’t want to leave.

Ashley Weitzel

PRO-TIP: Please, please don't waste all of your animal feed in the beginning. The larger animals, like the Giraffes, are towards the end of the safari drive. We unfortunately gave all our food to the goats and deer. Otherwise we had an amazing time!

Joe Crabtree

Very fun experience. Following their instructions leads, to the best experience. We got the largest amount of food and still bought more once inside. The animals are friendly but aggressive and hungry. Keep the windows up when you want to move. Tossing food out the window seems to break up groups when you get surrounded. My kids LOVED it!

Dustin Combs

Cool place to take your family. Kids would especially like it. Look on groupon before going, I found a really good deal. Also, bring 4 quarters..... you may need to vacuum out your car at the end. They have vacuums near the exit gate. Be sure to do the walkthrough tour too. One last thing, if you buy extra cups of food....... used most of it in the middle were all the deer and buffaloes are. After them it's just a few giraffes and they only eat the carrots and maybe the lettuce. Don't leave the gate with food..... you can't use it in the walkthrough.

Tracy

Very unique way to see many wonderful animals. Your car will need a bath when you are done!!

Kimberly Harrison

Lots of fun for the family! We enjoyed the walking zoo, including feeding the birds and seeing some animals that are not at our local zoo. And then we got to feed the llamas, giraffes, and other animals right out of our car. As my 7 year old said, "It was awesome!"

Emily Branthoover

Walk through zoo is great! Friendly staff. Place had a lot of geese!! (Which is why it lost a star) Giraffes are the best part and they love lettuce and carrots!

Google User

Always have a great time! The bird aviary is really cool! It's way better to visit during the on-season, so much more to enjoy and see, but still plenty of fun to be had driving through during the off-season.

B L

Nice place to visit. Bought too much food! Was hoping to feed the giraffes but there was only 2 that I saw at the end and 3 Zebras. They were away from where you drive so don't save too much food for the end. Also they do warn you about damage that can occur. Our car got a scratch so can't complain but heard someone complaining to them about a scratch to their car. Be prepared for your car to get a little dirty and some animal drool

Kenny Harris

Always a family favorite. The only thing you need to be aware of is possible damage to your car - if you do the dive through safari. I found some minor clear coat scratches around the window pillar after cleaning the car. I have to say... it was worth the experience of having a buffalo practically coming in the window and licking you!

Richie Kordush

Dont forget to stop at the front office for tickets otherwise they'll charge you 42.00 to drive thru on the spot the fat lady that rides the golf cart is cranky and mean

Victoria sekou-mamadou

I was a return customer.. was eager for my children to enjoy the experience. Things have changed here. Feels like you are being watched by the staff. The little zoo was dissatisfying for all. Most animals were locked up.. ( we arrived at 12 noon. ). It was hot!!! Camel rides used to be included in the price of entry. No more! Nothing African about the majority of the animals here. Buffalo, deer and alpacas.. that beg for food, and can damage your vehicle. Again, the staff are abundant. You feel as if you are being policed. Very disappointing.. If your expecting African wildlife, this is not the place. It's cute, but not what is advertised. Groupon for discounted tickets!!!! I

William Albano

This was one of the coolest experiences of me and my girlfriends lives. We were not positive what we were coming to see. We were in town to go to cedar point and we saw that this was 15-20 minutes away. We both agreed that this was just as cool if not even more fun than cedar point! The giraffes literally will stick their head into your vehicle. You can feed them and pet them. It is like nothing else anywhere I have ever been or even heard of. Both my girlfriend and my mothers favorite animals are giraffes. I FaceTimed my mother while there. We both said we would drive 5 hours there just to do the safari park again. To anybody that loves animals please check this place out. I saw a post saying the animals looked unhappy or hungry or whatever else... from out experience I would most definitely disagree with that post. They had multiple lakes. Many large bins and containers or food for the animals as well as shelter and lots of space. This wildlife park seems to be doing it right! Keep up the amazing work!!

Jessica Steiner

Very busy on a Saturday and can be pricey! My daughter loved it, so it was all worth it. We will be back next summer

amanda antes

Paid over $100 for 5 people and animal food, for the animals to scratch up my van with their hooves, pull my window trim off and an animal bit off my valve stem on my tire, lucky we even made it home after leaving this park. I wasn't impressed at all, especially for what they charge you to drive through it! Dont take a new vehicle or a rental car!

Tim Rehahn

This is a great way to see exotic wildlife up closer than many zoos, or very close with the drive through. The animals love to come for food, are very friendly but persistent. They know cars have food, kind of intimidating sometimes. One was biting at the window trim to get the window down. We had a great time, people of all ages will love it here. It is a bit over priced, be sure to check their website for coupons, they can scan it from your phone or tablet. Saves a couple bucks. All in all we had a great time. You'll definitely want a vehicle with air conditioning though. At some point you'll run out of food, and the animals will never leave you alone LOL windows up!

Anna Mangano

Such a fun experience. It was mid-october so several of the animals were not available. I've never been able to touch a buffalo before, so it was an incredible experience.

Sasha Rosier

The price is too high especially when you pay so much to get in then the cheapest food is $15. Every individual thing is a new cost it’s a cool experience but it’s really not worth the price kinda small for the price and not many African animals. It was fun but probably wouldn’t go again based on cost.

David Hoffman

Kind of cool. Way to many deer. Watch out for the long horn and or buffalo. One of them was rubbing against my vehicle. One of them head butted my fender. There walkthrough was just as fun and the birds were a lot of fun. Kind of pricey.

Em Reitor

We went there and got the food to feed the animals. We drove and were told to stay in the right lane and in the beginning it is easy the animals are nice you can feed them and get through. Further up the animals get a bit more aggressive and your car is swarmed. One of the animals started chewing on my window. Your car gets really dirty, but luckily they have a vacuum you can use at the end for a dollar. It gets harder to drive when you run out of food, so closing your window kind of helps. The animals are really cool and you do see many of them up close. It is amazing to see the different animals. The giraffes were not out when we went, so they gave us extra food. When you reach a certain marker you can buy more food and give it to animals who are in cages.

Ivy Landgraf

Love coming here. The animals are wonderful and the birds are a one of a kind experience. The staff have a tendency to be grumpy however. Which is why I left a a four star review.

Sachin Duggal

An absolute ripoff, an overrated place. One thing that struck with me was how insensitive the staff is, clearly not motivated to come to work and no hospitality. They remind you to close your car windows at multiple points in the so called “safari” but won’t tell you that a handful bisons they have can and have damaged cars. My car was badly damaged, see pictures. When I reported it, the cold response was it is written in the fine prints that your vehicle could be damaged, what? Their are very few animals and it just feels like you are shown signs to buy expensive animal food to feed the animals. Lastly, there are discounts coupons in all sort of travel guides available in all hotels around but if you missed to ask for it at the ticket counter, the staff won’t remind you to let you save some bucks. $80+for a family of 4...,.not worth it.

Mackenzie Mittereder

A ton of fun. The animals were really hungry when I went so I had a couple jump up on the side of my car so the hooves left some scratches. It's to be expected going into a place like this and although I might be skeptical about going back it was a great experience! I will recommend this to others

Crystal Burk

Great time but take a car or vehicle you don't care if it gets scratches

RAHUL SHARMA

Amazing place for animal lovers. Animals are really friendly, had great experience feeding them carrots, lettuce and grains. Food is a bit costly as compared to the quantity needed for feeding. Be safe while feeding to bisons. Your car will need a good vacuum wash inside.

Allison

This place was so cool! If you are someone that likes your car to be spotless, it won't be spotless when you leave this place. I loved feeding the animals and exploring the park. I kind of wish most of the animals weren't so open ranged because there were a few close calls where some goats could've been ran over. Overall, a fun day trip!

Lis Rios

As much fun for my teenagers as when they were last here several years ago. I spend a bit on food for the animals (I went twice and went through $30 in food for them each time) but it was worth it. The kids had a wonderful time.

Michelle R. Gottesman, P.C.

My kids and I loved this adventure so much! The animals were so close - even put theirs heads IN our car to eat! Get a cup of grain for each person, and the giraffes only wanted the fresh veggies.

Priyo Gang

Decent experience specially for the kid. She enjoyed feeding the animals and seeing them up close. The name African safari is a bit misleading as the Giraffes or Zebras hardly came to vehicle. Mostly Lama, bison and Deers while drive through safari. Charges are pretty high considering they charge separately for walk through and drive through. Bird feeding, rabbit feeding is fun. Camel ride sounds also fun. Overall fun for kids but as adults, not much value for money

A. Lemar

Place is fun for the kids but can’t say it’s all that. The drive through the safari was nice but not many diff animals to interact with. The Bison was the best animal to get close to and the rest are just ordinary animals. The walk through saffari was really nice. Enjoyed feeding rabbits/birds and the big turtles. Admission price is low but if you want to feed the animals, good luck. The prices for carrots/lettuce and grain is way to much. Your not allowed to feed them anything besides what you buy from the establishment. Ok experience but also a one time experience it must be.

Heather B

Such an amazing experience! My family had a wonderful time here! It was so much fun. Ig would HIGHLY recommend getting there first thing in the morning. It gets crowded.

Brandi Rombach

We loved it! Everything was amazing! The animals were precious and so friendly. I have to vaccum my car now

Lori Harp

We loved it! Will definitely visit another year

Monika Estrada

We stopped by on our way home from Cedar Point to Michigan and we had a blast. A must stop. We will come back for sure.

Anna Weighmink

Great place! Don't hold the food inside your car when feeding. A few deer jumped on my new cart and now have scratches.

Amanda Toi

I absolutely love this place. This past weekend was the first time back in 10 years. Definitely way more packed than I remember. The only bad things about this place do not pertain to the company at all. I waited 45 minutes to get to the booth only to have some idiot who drove around the line of traffic, walk back up to cut everyone in line to get his tickets.

Ryan Shary

Very cool experience! Our kids had a blast driving through the park and having the animals come right up to us. We got there shortly after they opened on a Sunday and I would highly recommend it - we were one of 2 cars going through the park. Later that day, the line to get in was probably 15 cars long. Feeding the other animals in the walking section of the park was a lot of fun too.

Ryan Finke

Very fun! The drive through zoo is a must. Definitely buy some food. Bring your local zoo pass and you may get 50% off. The walk through part is fun too, especially the rabbits and the aviary.

Ashley Myers

This place is hilarious. There's a bunch of chain gang animals that mob your car for food. They even create road blocks so you can't drive. A llama tried to steal my phone. Then there's this walk around part, budgies all up in your business. No worries about you not getting your for eaten. Rabbits come for you, steal that lettuce right up. Chomp chomp. Except for those kangaroos. They don't want your food. All around fun.

Terry Nelson

SO MUCH FUN! Giraffe had its whole head in my car! Buy the romaine lettuce!

Tario McFadden

I fun place to visit on a nice sunny day. The animals are all eager to walk up to your vehicle for feeding. The prices are reasonable as well. We also enjoyed a fun camel ride during the walk through portion. I would recommend this place for anyone that loves to interact with animals.

Melanie R

A really great place, super fun experience. I can't get behind the prices for the food for the animals though. $5 for 1lb of carrots and the same for a cup of oats, that honestly the first animal you encounter will take the whole thing..lol. I understand they need to make money, truly I do but wow. With as much food you would have to purchase from them to just drive through once to feed the animals would be 3x as much as you paid for your admission. Not worth it if you ask me. Once every few years maybe ..

Ashley Fidler

They. Have. A. Giraffe. And. If. Your. Lucky. You. Can. FEED. IT. basically you drive your car through a bunch of animals and you have the option to feed them ( you have to pay for animal food once you get there) And your not supposed to pet the animals. (but everyone does) There is also a mini zoo kinda thing on the side with alot of animals to see. I recommend a good car wash after though.

Chequera Eason

It's a really short drive through, but it's worth, reasonably priced, with a free cup of grain but the first few animals will absolutely demolish it so buying extra is suggested. Try to save the carrots for the giraffes. Enjoy!!!

Shaliza Alli

This was so much fun to drive thru and feed those cute and sweet animals (bisons, alpacas, deer, camels, and many other exotic African animals)! The children loved taking turns and sharing the food to feed the animals as they hurried over to our vehicle. The large, white, alligator, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, feeding the budgies, pig racing all was so much fun! Not what we were expecting to find in the middle of Ohio.

K Wil

Wow! This place is amazing. We were lu Kyle and got a coupon from our hotel for 50%off so it was cheaper, but definitely worth the price. The animals come right up to your car If you do the drive thru and are expecting to be fed. My advice is to buy extra feed and do not drive a new or nice car. The animals were amazing to be up so close. Well worth it. No vicious animals if you're looking for lions and stuff but still very worth it!

Slavica Kutlic

Cool idea and fun for all ages but half of the animals missing compared to years ago

Chrissy Hall

Just as I remembered as a kid. Took my wife on a mini anniversary trip to Put in Bay, and stopped here on the way (half off on Groupon) Animals seem well cared for.

Adam S

It was a fun little drive. Our car did start to get eaten by a deer and the giraffes weren't out but it was a good time

Brayden Flores

Overall great I'm not gonna lie but I gotta give it 3 stars just because some of the animals could be I'm better condition !

Divakar G

safari is good but it is small and they take more money for animal food , they took 15$ but they gave only 4 carrots which we can get outside for less than 2$

Thana Kaser

This place is great for the entire family. The animals walk right up to your car and often pop their heads right in your open window. They definitely aren't shy! It's an open zoo you drive your vehicle through and feed the animals romaine lettuce, carrots, and grains throughout the drive. Word of advice, make sure not to feed all your food too quickly. Save enough for the entire drive. Some of the animals you'll encounter include llamas, bison, deer, elk, huge cattle, giraffes, and more. After you're done with the drive through zoo, there's also a small walk through zoo with kangaroos, tortoises, a white alligator, monkeys, and more. You can pay to feed these animals also. There's a bird aviary exhibit at the end of the trail where you actually get to feed birds too. The birds will even land on your shoulder or hand if they see you have food. Season passes are great too. They are good for a year and are well worth spending the $80 or so dollars. I bought mine on Groupon. Even better! My family and I had visited this zoo for the past few years because it is so unique. I can't wait for next year!

Julie Keil

I read a ton of reviews and visited the website prior to coming here. I was well aware of possible damages that could be done to your vehicle. I ordered all 5 tickets off of Groupon and saved a ton of money! We did buy the $45 bucket of food and then I think we spent an additional $20 to go through again. We had an absolute blast! We also made sure that it was a nice day and that all the animals would be out. Please read reviews before you just randomly purchase tickets then give a place bad reviews. Do some research. We drove 3 hours for this trip and I would do it all over again. Great place!

Darin Bowman

Don't take a nice vehicle in here! They WILL scratch your car up. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: Regardless of what they tell you on how to avoid this, it will happen. When we were there the staff didn't help us get through a large group of animals that surrounded our vehicle and they kept jumping up on the car. The animal hooves will scratch your car like butter. I mean, you can't run over an animal and when they surround your vehicle you can't go anywhere. We were there at the end of the day so the staff acted irritated that we were there. They didn't help us when we were surrounded either. The girl at the gate also did not give us all the warnings, like what they owner responded with because she didn't even want to let us through. One person told us they closed at one time and someone else said another time so everyone was irritated.

Joann Fonseca

The walk through part was closed ,but still the drive tru was pretty cool the Camels were the best!! Kinda high for the food they give to feed animales!

Sara Stewart

Kids LOVED it. Animals were very active. The walk through part was nice also. Kids enjoyed the camel rides. Come prepared to buy the food packs for the animals. It is 15 dollars for the package with lettuce, carrots, and feed pellets. They seemed to love the carrots most so you can buy extra carrots if you like.

belinda swaney

Great interactive fun for all ages. We had ages 15 to 74 in our vehicle and everyone smiled & laughed. The little zoo was fun. Especially loved the porcupines and chimps!

Jennifer Basinger

Would go back. I had went here when I was little so it had been about 25 years since I've had been there. Definitely changed a lot over the years but I would recommend it as a family outing.

jAnAkIrAmAn C

Amazing adventure. Kids will enjoy to the most. Worth to watch for at least once in a life time.

Laura Gutierrez

Amazing! Definitely need to get the extra carrots. Be careful those bison come at your car. I loved the entire experience. Its should be on the must do list for everyone. Couples and families.

Christopher Nicodemus

Kind of pricey. They lure you in somewhat misleading coupons. Be prepared for very minor damage to your vehicle as you drive through. Also be prepared for some very large animals to stick their heads in your car.

Hermalyn Manglona

Great family fun experience! Don't forget to grab more veggies to feed down the road because the out stops to buy more veggies only accepts cash. Overall super fun!

Heather Maki

Had so much fun here. The animals were amazing. You can feed them pellets, carrots, and lettuce and they will eat it all! They have llamas, alpacas, deer, bison, moose, giraffes in the drive thru. The walk through zoo had many different birds, warthogs , gibbons, tortoises, porcupines, kangaroos, a bunny walk, and a budgie avairy, where you can feed them, plus much more! Great learning experience!

Srinath P

This is nice place but I feel it’s expansive. In group on there was coupon but they didn’t accepted and said it’s long weekend and it’s not applicable.’ I don’t see any terms n conditions mentioned about it. I don’t feel so much excitement I went with my little one. Once we entered inside they are charging 5$ per lb of carrots to feed animals. 45$ for three different verities. We cannot being food from outside. I feel that’s so much expensive.

Jason Tipton

Pretty cool place if all the animals are out and the walk through thing is open. At least they let you cycle through as many times as you like. So if you missed something the first time, you just go back through. Definitely be aware that they are used to vehicles feeding them, so they'll come running and aren't shy.

Josh S

It was a great family adventure. The kids love the Buffalo! The line was a bit long but once you start going through the slow pace is nice. Sometimes you have to wait in line for the drafts but it's worth it. Overall we had a great experience!

Kayla Hanley

This is a really neat experience for the kid's!! We had the head of a giraffe in our car eating out of a plastic cup! The kids were most definitely entertained!! Also, the place was spotless and the staff was knowledge and friendly!! Definite 5 stars!!

N May

My and my traveling buddies' visit to this place was spontaneous and short-lived. We saw the highway sign for it, on our way to Cleveland, and decided to make a stop at the safari. The actual admission cost is $23. Upon paying, they give you a map and a list of animals. Most were herbivores...no lions, elephants, or anything exciting. I ended up calling, while at the entrance, to get my money back (which I did). So, while I didn't view the animals, I knew enough to leave ASAP. I would recommend the African lion safari in Woodstock, Ontario. For $30, you will see rhinos, lions, cheetahs and more.

monika wallace

It was super fun for the whole family. But when we went the giraffes weren't out and we were super disappointed. And we were mid way through the park when we needed more food and we couldn't buy more food. But we will know for next time!

Kristi White

Driving through you can feed the animals food you buy there (for the healthy dietary needs of the animals). They walk right up to your car! It's a crazy fun experience. Young and old alike

bo grimacestone

I saw some cool animals. Even feed some of them. But the white buffalo was the most majestic of them all. Cool place...

David Izada Rodríguez

Beautiful animals, well taken care of, good for taking your children.

Whatever Whatever

Super disappointed. 1, you can finish the tour in one or two hours. Not many animals. 2, regular price is super high for what they can provide. 3, with some coupons, you can pay less, but I think it is still expensive. 4, when you buy tickets, they will not tell you that you can pay much less if you do it by some coupons, which you can easily find online. I found later that I can pay actually half of the price, which made me feel I am fool. Thus I am even unhappier. 5, the animals can make some damages to your car. I am not going there twice.

Wayne Eiting

It was a spur of them moment thing and it turned out to be better than our planned vacation this year. I will say the kangaroos are not interested in the food provided to feed them. Kids will remember it for the rest of their lives.

Anuja Shah

Everyone should go this. It was a fun. I like it very much.

Brad stolte

It is a really cool place, lots of things to do with the family. I had my 5 kids and my wife with and a friend of ours with her 2 kids. Plenty of fun interaction on the walking part and the driving part is even better!

Nickie Bryant

I've been here multiple times and have always had a great time until today's visit. I have already bought my tickets online and have been standing in line in the gift shop for over an hour now to turn in my ticket to drive thru the park. By the looks of the line I may be to the only "ONE" cashier in another hour or so.

Joyce Wilhelm

A bit shocked at the price to get in and for the food cost to feed the animals. But we did have a fun experience, probably not to be repeated. I believe that this place is doing a good thing and am sure the cost of running it and for the care of the animals is high. So I did recognize this by giving it a 3.

Rita Periatt

Had so much fun with our group. Staff was great. We had a van of 12 but only got one cup food to feed animals. We had elderly residents. Fun day still.

Leslie LoAlbo

Great family fun, even for the older kids. Animals are funny with a mind of their own

alex vandebussche

Fun but as we were waiting for the employees to hand us food for the animals they were trying to get each other to walk up and get what we wanted and kept laughing and goofing around. Had fun other than that. And though it was the African safari, it kinda had the fresh farm smell. Over all it was a great visit for me.

Jason Johnston

Some the animals get kinda aggressive but cool time indeed

A H

Definitely not worth the $100 we paid seeing you are done going through in 30 minutes. Giraffes weren't out. But feeding the alpacas were fun. Bison were eating at our car and broke my parents side view mirror, but my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it as did we for the most part......But to answer the owner's response we were never told we could go through as many times as we like and we were all split between 2 vehicles and we were not told that. Definitely will say though The WIlds in Columbus were a better experience and cheaper.

Jacqueline Rettew

This was surprisingly really cool. The animals know that when your car window is open, they may have a chance to get food, and they are not afraid to poke their head right in your car. I would suggest getting the grain food only. The animals towards the end are behind fences. We paid 5 bucks for carrots and ended up just throwing them over the fence, as the giraffes weren't interested. The walk through area for the other animals was thoughtfully planned out, and had easy to follow signs depending on what you wanted to see. I will say that the safari entrance lacked organization...there are 2 car lines that merge into one and it's adjacent to a parking lot, but the two lines dont have signs so you wouldn't know unless the workers directed you over there. People do cut in line from the parking lot and the workers didn't seem to take into account the fact they should let one car go from either side at a time, so people that were behind us essentially went ahead, a bit frustrating. Also it's expensive, a carload of 5 was 75 bucks. Worth it to check it out though, kids loved it.

Gaylene Mandelka

I have mixed feelings about this place. The animals where you drive through have ample space. The animals in the walk through area not so much. The monkeys living on a tiny island were troubling. The kangaroos are cramped into a small area, when someone asked about the size of the area an employee said they had enough to eat, not what I wanted to hear. They need to have only small animals in the walk through area. That part made me sad.

Gina Morgan

It was an amazing experience my grandson's enjoying every minute. Especially when we drove through the wildlife part of it. The animals come up to your windows and sometimes into the windows. We had a great laugh when the bisons were coming into the windows. It could be costly. But it's an experience I won't ever forget.

Samantha Mullins

The animals and walk-through park were okay. A couple neat things to encounter. I liked the bird house, but the feed sticks were grossly overpriced. Their little "restaurant," was awful. Crazy high prices, and a super long wait (but not because there was anyone ahead of us, because there wasn't) for extremely sub par food. The chicken sandwich was absolutely gross. On to the drive through portion. That was fun, and any complaints I have aren't really worth complaining about. The rules are strict, but I know it's for safety reasons, for both people and animals, but a few were definite bummers. Pro tip, don't go in a mini van, because the windows don't roll down, and you're not allowed to open the side doors. The only people who will have any fun are the two in the front seats. Overall, we had an alright time, but we were all less than impressed.

Leonard Cox

My grandson totally enjoyed his experience, especially the bird cage. However I question how you can call this African Safari, when there are Bison, Elk, European deer. Very disappointed with the lack of African Animals. This is definitely not The African Safari I took my kids to 35 years ago. And the price you charge for feed??? Come On

Breanna Dickerhoff-Mathias

First time and the last time!!! I was there today and left every disappointed. Overly priced. I spend over $60. 40 just to get in the door and then money for feed. We made it through the park in about 10-15 mins. There was not even that many different animals. We only saw total of four different types of animals. Big waste of time and money

Amber Letso

Kids loved it. Very fun for my 4 year old

Ashley Gutowski

Great way to get up close and personal to the animals. Very fun how interactive. Best to go in morning when animalsbare still hungry. The drive through is fun, be prepared your car will get messy, we carry window cleaner, paper towel, and wipes. The walk through zoo is cute, intemate, and feels like you are close to the animals, you are able to pet and feed rabbits, turtoises kangaroos, parakeets/ budgies (lots of fun), and ride camels! All are varying extra feels. Great place fun stop!!

Johnny Mc Nubs

(additional comments) Very nice place. Not too expensive if you use a local coupon or a Groupon. They honored our Groupon without having the bar scan. The giraffes were the highlight to me. The aviary was nice as well. I would be cautious of the drive through park if you have a nice car. We went through on in a newer Tahoe. We rolled the windows up a few times to have some of the animals back away a little. The car behind us did not. They had several very large scratches on both sides of the vehicle that would require painting and one had a depression into the metal. Aside from that I would recommend it to anyone. Very nice place// (8/12/19) I absolutely agree with the reply posted. It is very clearly marked as enter at your own risk. I would still recommend this. I do think that patrons should heed the advice and direction of the park personnel. Still 5 stars

tracie belt

Very disappointing...we went on Tuesday, went to the walk through and hatdly anything was out.I thought the money paid there would be alot more out.we got to the birds one of the ladus said we were suppose to get a stick to fead them, never got anything. Then we go througb the drive threw the first gate was the funniest, excect a car going arounf around us and citting us off.. There were only a hand few a animals were out..The price was ridiculous for only a hand full of animals. Why even charge full amount if ur not getting full experience?

dan wright

Lot of fun. Be careful though some of the animals will jump up on your car. They left marks in my paint. Also $ 5 for a pound of carrots is a little much

Jerry Jensen

Amazing time had the grand kids from 2 to 18 years old and all of them had a blast. We were a bit disappointed in the walk through portion

Tracy Settle

This place is the coolest! You can get a discount for bringing your local zoo pass if they’re affiliated so definitely check that out. The carrots are very overpriced (you get, like, 5 carrots when you pay to get in). I’ve heard of people bring them in from a grocery store, but I feel like they’d see them sitting out in your car and give you a hard time. Also, plan to get a car wash after—the outside of your car will be muddy, and the inside will be drooly!

Jennifer Berkemeier

We loved African Wildlife Safari! Went there with our kids age 7 to 10, and they all loved it. It is really a unique experience. The animals are gentle and come right up to your car. Very fun, lots of laughs and memories. Definitely recommend.

Cathy Houston

With what y'all take in, I think the habitats could be kept up better. Find a deal to get in because a lot of stuff inside has an extra charge - feed an animal, ride an animal, have a poc taken with an animal. Driving around was kind of crowded on the Saturday of Labor Day. We bought the $30 feed package and it was plenty. We heard you should save the carrots and lettuce for the giraffes at the end. We did bit two were laying down, two were standing up and only one was eating. We gave away our excess to the oldest car w the most lids waiting in line to get in. Excellent way to get close to animals but you will have to wash your car inside and out!

Ariel Meister

Such a fun experience. Not too crowded. I felt like I had plenty of time with the animal experiences: Not rushed through. My boys, 3, 5 and 8 loved it too! Definitely a great day!

Matt Nasty419

Always enjoy coming here but make sure you take your crappiest car because the dirty animals will lean all over it... Superfun pig races and they have a very nice setup.

Tricia Gilcoine

I love this place! If I lived in Ohio I would go all the time!!! Be prepared for your car to get filthy!

Emily Kimball

Wonderful place to get up close and personal with various animals. The giraffes were awesome. The bison were a little pushy and destructive toward the vehicle. We ended up rolling up the window whenever one came close. The deer were a lot of fun and so were the alpacas. I would definitely spend the money on extra grain and carrots. You can drive through as many times as you want with admission.

L E

We went as a group so it was fun. But to drive 2 hours and taking your kids only, is not a good idea. I advise to go as a group. The kids will have more fun with their cousins or friends. The staff were super sweet. Children and grandparents had lots of fun. I wish they change the name to Ohio Safari. That way , we do not expect to see lions and tigers

Victoria Mitchell

Super family-friendly, really fun… Was a little sad to see there’s no cheaters or lions type of thing… Zebras and giraffes are in enclosures. Animals with horns and James may scratch your car, bring the family beater.

Kristina Giacobbi

I came here once as a kid, and the video tapes we have show a COMPLETELY different experience. Now everything feels.. run down and dirty. The animals seem miserable and the only animals that the park has a plethora of are the deer.. to the point where there it feels like an overpopulation problem. The customer service received was poor as well.

Brandy Sabourin

This place was so much fun to visit! We visited shortly after storms had passed through on a Sunday and had a pretty minimal wait to enter the safari. By the time we left, the line was super long. Those people probably waited over an hour to get in to the entrance of the safari. We got in using a discount on their website and paid about $11 each. It was worth that, but I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. You can feed several of the animals, but of course there is a fee for them all. So by the time you pay for admission, and buy food to feed the animals, you can easily spend a lot of money there. The drive through was definitely the best part. My kids were terrified and kept their windows up, but we were cracking up with the animals sticking their heads in our windows! My only complaint is that we bought budgee sticks to feed the parakeets from a stand (4 for $5). We bought 8 so we could have 2 each. Then when we got to the aviary, they were selling them there and they were twice as big for the same price. When I told the guy the ones we got were smaller and I felt like we got ripped off, he just laughed.

Larry Holtcamp

We had a great day trip to African Safari. Enjoyed feeding the animals in the drive through area and the bird experience was fun too. Nice just to walk through the park and enjoy the animals

Hoda Naei

So much fun . We got the Groupon ( you have to buy it the day before can’t purchase it the same day ) . And it was great . Came with one free cup of food per car . I would recommend buying the carrots and lettuce ($5 for a small cup ) for the giraffe . Great for adults and kids. All the staff were super nice . We were there for an overall three hours. 30 minute drive through and the rest the walk through . the walk through was included in the purchase and was so nice . They also had these education session that they bought out different animals ( make sure to check the time ) . And of course you car is going to get dirty and probably even damaged ( mine didn’t ). Drove two hours from Michigan totally worth it . Highly recommend this place .

Lauri Grooman

Very unorganized, had to wait over an hour in line to get into the park. Then they were closing the park so we only got to see half of it. Still the animals were great.

Xander Perez

The experience was very cute and very nice. Very good option for families, little kids, and not really my ideal date option but if you're really into it then yes. It's a much closer experience than the zoo, with options to feed and pet (if you pay) some of the more exotic animals. Important: -Can't bring your own food to feed the animals, have to buy on premises - animals have a high probability of scratching your car so don't bring the nice one - there is a driving course AND a walking option - recommend a vehicle with multi windows that can roll down

Suriya Gayathri

A small drive-through park where you can watch and feed animals. The feed is expensive. It was such a small drive unlike what we expected. There were no giraffes too as opposed to what they showed in their website.

Corey Miller

Took my daughter here, great place to see animals that you will not see often, and you can alot closer then you would at a zoo.

James C

We went about 4 years ago. I think the price then was by the car. We came from NC and accidentally came across this place. Hopefully we will get to go back this summer to take our Grand Children again. They loved it.

M Shaw

It's well worth the price. Lots to see and do on just a few acres of land. Wide variety of animals to feed and touch

Lola Corrigan

Fun feeding animals but expensive. Best thing was bird aviary and feeding the birds. Drive thru also good.

Lance LoAlbo

Tons of opportunities to feed the wildlife. They dont tell you that the docile llamas are first. The deer and elk are super aggressive with the food cups and will take the whole cup. Hilarious when you wife doesn't know, loses her mind when 8 deer come up and she fights (and loses) the battle for the cup, all while yelling " go go go!!!!" Its impossible to drive when you're laughing hysterically. A good trip

John Miller

I cant believe I didnt do this sooner! Incredible experience and if you have been thinking about it, do it. Feeding wild animals from your car, it feels like you're actually out in the plains.

Lynn Tortellini

Just okay, a bunch of deer roaming around in a field while you drive around in a circle. LOVED the giraffe feeding at the end but they only have one so he gets full quickly and not every car gets to feed him. Not sure if it is worth the price and not really itching to go again..

Judy Tender

We enjoyed the Safari. The walk through part was awesome, however, when it came to the drive thru part, it was not a pleasant experience. First of all, there where way too many lamas and alpacas. They charged your car and you couldn't even drive through. Same way with the small deer. Way too many! Then you had the bison. They wouldn't move and were up against our car on both sides. (It was nerve racking, considering our car was a rental). We didn't realize these animals would be up on your vehicle like that. Once we got through the bison, we enjoyed the few things that were left. I enjoyed the experience, just wouldn't do the drive through again.

Matthew Woods

Since we frequent the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, I wasn't sure what to expect going here. I was impressed with the setup here. A word of advice; get there early! We got there not long after opening, and we didn't have a wait. As we left in the afternoon, the line to get in stretched all the way out to the state highway and beyond. But it was worth it.

Anthony Medina

Everyone loved it. I'd recommend it for the whole family. Up close and personal with animals you may never see again.

Mr. CLE

This place is a blast. had my 2 year old cracking up. You buy food and feed animals out of your car... they are just walking around. you'll be sitting there then out of nowhere a 2000 pound Buffalo eyeing you up!. I had an entire steer head in my car... it's wild. you drive right up to giraffe and feed them... it's super fun. They have another part where you can feed kangaroos, ride camels, an area with birds that is fun. This place is great for kids and not a ton of cash for the entertainment. we spent about 2 and half hours there, I'd totally do it again. your car does get a little messy, I got Buffalo slobber all over my window, but you have control over how much you want to engage the animals. It was a total riot!

Josh Kelly

We had a great first time. We brought our little kids and also our teenager , and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We found a great deal on groupon , and this is a place we will definitely be returning to.

Val and Ed’s Adventures

I had a great time. My wife was a little intimidated. Watch our YouTube video on the African Safari Wildlife Park. Our YouTube channel is “ Val and Ed’s Adventures”

KESHA FERGUSON

It was nice to get up close to feed the animals. The Bison were big, but gentle. The Giraffes were awesome. There are not a lot of animals walking through, but it was still nice.

Sanches Lewis

It was fun, the kids had a blast and the bird (budgie) sanctuary was AWESOME!

Terry Phillips

Fun for the grandkids! I have some light scratches on the door of my truck from the dirt on the bigger animals. Buy a bag of carrots or two and romaine lettuce or two at the local store. Then buy their food to get the tag so the ranger won't know you brought in food. They charge $5 for a cup of carrots with six carrots or lettuce in it.

Clark Davis

We LOVED this place my daughter loved the animals the staff was friendly overall a great experience

Glen Garant

Really reasonably cheap for admittance where they get you is selling you carrots lettuce the best deal is the $15 cups it will get you the most amount of stuff also the $5 cup isn't bad but if you're a family of four the $15 cups are the way to go! There's a fair amount of animals to see enough to definitely Delight any child is extremely hot out today so we didn't get out of the car to go walk around but the last time we were here we did there's a good amount of stuff to see the pig races are especially fun and it's a lot cheaper than going to Cedar Point!

Donnie Schulte

This is a must see place. We enjoyed it very much.

Jen L

It's a very exciting and fun family adventure for all ages. We were all pleasantly surprised

Linda Jim

It's a great place for families! We went late in the season and some of the park animals were put away for the winter. But the drive through was great and we really enjoyed ourselves!! Very reasonably priced!!
