Wonderful evening interacting with and learning about the amazing animals at It’s A Zoo Life! Cody made the experience so much better with his knowledge and love for them all. Greatly appreciated his time and allowing us so many opportunities to engage directly. This is a gem of a place - highly recommended for all in the area to visit. Thanks Cody!!
It was an amazing tour. Jacob did such a great job and was very informative. He even made sure my two little ones were able to get the full experience as well. It was easily worth the admission price to get up close and personal with so many animals.
Went with my son on a field trip to, to this place. It was actually very nice. We had a young lady named, Kendel I believe and she explained everything about the animals. She was very good at showing the kids all they needed to know.
Brandon was an awesome guide and was great with the kids! Fun place to visit!
Fun little zoo. Worth the time to visit and you're helping rescue animals. What's not to like?
We had a wonderful time at It’s a Zoo Life. Our guide, Cody, was very laid back and knowledgeable about the animals and their personalities. We couldn’t have gotten a nicer guide. He gave the children in our tour group plenty of time to see and touch the animals. It was such a lovely outing. My kids want to move there and live among the animals. It was a hot summer day, and there was a mist-cooling station. One of the workers brought us ice cold water, and there is even a bouncy house. We were even invited into the private residence, and the kids were allowed to bottle feed two newly acquired Maras. I highly recommend.
We had Dillon as a tour guide he was great the tour was great and the animals were great!
This was our first time visiting..we made some great new memories! Our kids loved being able to interact with the animals....they each had their favorites:) Our guide, Anna, was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable...I'm sure we'll be back!
For starters, the overall feel of the place was laid back and welcoming. It was very organized, and I really like how they handled everything. If one tour guide for some reason had to leave, another fill in would always be happy to help. Our tour guide, Kendall, was very helpful. She tried her best to satisfy us. I personally think she did a wonderful job handling kids and adults. So kudos to her. But yes, the experience was extraordinary and I highly recommend for all ages!
Zomg! So good! I loved all the animals, Anna was a fantastic and personable guide! She was super knowledgeable! Axel was amazing and such a lovable wolf! <3 I will definitely be coming back!!!
The tour guides did an amazing job! You get to see beautiful animals up close. Unlike any other experience I've ever had!
You can really tell that each animal is loved and cared for greatly. I loved the personal interaction with so many animals. We drove a long way (3.5 hours) to visit and it was worth every minute. A great stop for any family and/or animal lover. We will definitely go back again!
Wasnt open and no one would answer the phone. Sucks I made plans for this place on my daughters birthday.
We went here for a birthday. We had watched the show last year and fell in love with the place. The tour did not disappoint and everyone was super friendly. Definitely recommend for everyone!!!!!
Nice zoo although the tour was extremely quick and little interaction with animals which was very disappointing given the distance traveled, our tour lasted 45 mins, I did mention it to a lady in the ticket office who them took out a chinchilla for us to pet which was nice! Enjoyable none the less
Cute little zoo. All their animals are basically rescues, and they seem well-cared for. Our tour guide Jacob was great with the kids even when they were rambunctious (I was co-chaperoning a class of 1st graders!). We had a fun visit.
By far the worst “animal exhibit” I’ve been too. Please don’t waste your money, the tour was so boring, we only got to “touch” the wolf, alpaca and kangaroos. Very NON interactive. It cost us 50.00 for four people and my four year old was so bored 30 minutes into the tour. Which if these are supposed to be guided it would be nice to hear the guide. If you get the chance go to Aloha Safari, way better! Will not return.
What a wonderful time!
My family and I had a blast on our tour of zoo life!! Anna did a fabulous job with our tour. She was so knowledgeable of every animal and made sure my kids were safe and could experience everything! She also made sure the kiddos didn't get too hot today! We will be back again! ♥️♥️ Thank you Anna!
We had a field trip there with my daughter and she had the best time ever! I have to say that our guides were amazing too! Justin and MK! Ask for them to guide you around! We learned a lot of animal facts!
Visited on a 1st grade fieldtrip. This place is wonderful. It is very clean and you can tell the animals are well-loved and well taken care of. The tour guides are knowledgable and very kid-friendly. You are able to interact with and pet kangaroos, tortoises, llamas, and more! It's a bit hot, so bring your sunscreen and don't forget to hydrate!
Lots of good family fun. Interesting and informative tour of the animals. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and safety concerned.
Great guided hands on tour! You're able to pet and even hold some of the exotic animals. A wide variety of animals! My son enjoyed interacting with the many kinds of animals! So worth the 20 dollars for a personal tour. There is also a list of foods you can hand feed the animals with! Great place!
It's a zoo life thoroughly enjoyed the experience the staff were wonderful they went out their way Anna she got us a golf cart set of pushing wheelchair around the very nice she's right next to the governor Morehead school really enjoyed it five stars actually 10 Stars
We just returned home after our day at It's A Zoo Life with James W. Elementary. We had an AMAZING day with the animals and the staff! Brandon was our guide and he was awesome! Brandon was very informative and asked every question that he was asked with a quick response.... very polite and great with the kids! I had the chance to hold the baby albino wallaby and fell in love with him along with the baby kangaroo who literally gave me kisses and tried to climb in my lap! I would absolutely Love to wake up in the morning with all of these animals! What a wonderful life and wonderful experience! We Love what the Abrams have done and all the staff are amazing! A big THANK YOU to the Abrams, Brandon, and Ryan for letting me cuddle with the baby wallaby
We had a wonderful time at Its A Zoo Life. Anna was our tour guide, and was so patient with the kids. My inquisitive 6 year old asked a lot of questions and she took the time to answer each of his questions. Anna was also extremely knowledgeable about all of the animals there. Both of my children (9 & 6 year old boys) truly enjoyed the experience of being close with the animals.
Celebrity exotic animals of Eastern NC. Great place to meet them and everyone else of the show. Great place for kids and adults to come and enjoy the tours.
This is for the camp portion. My child loved the camp overall, but as far as food served, she hated it. Plain sandwiches (just bread and meat) and animal crackers are unacceptable for food choices. Nothing else was given. A fruit or vegetable as a side would have been better but a plain bologna sandwich and animal crackers for kids that will be in the heat for 6 hours! Will not be returning until a better lunch is served.
Had a great time today. Really enjoyed getting close to some animals you don't normally get to pet. The tour guide, Anna, was great. Very informative and interacted with the children well. Will definitely come back.
What an enjoyable spot!! I decided on a whim to bring my daughter and grandkids here for an afternoon out. We got there about 10 mins after tour started and the guide, Brandon took the time and waited for us. Along the way he provided not only the “scientific stuff” but a lot of interesting tidbits about the species and the individual animal’s personality. The fact that it’s hands on makes it good for the kids (young and old). It’s a little pricey, but worth every penny. Thanks Brandon, for a great afternoon!
This is the real life family home zoo featured on TLC's "Our Zoo Life". Second time here and it won't be the last. The animals are beautiful and the family treats you like you're family too.
Anna the tour guide was amazing! It could not have been a more perfect experience for my child! She took time to educate and closely acquaint each child and adult with the amazing selection of animals! My girl wants to go back again next week which says everything... and off the iPad lol! Highly recommend!
Great place to take your kids to see some exotic animals, be sure to bring plenty of water and hand sanitizer as it is very open with little to no tree coverage staff or knowledgeable and very friendly, hard a great time with the kids
Such a great place for a homeschool field trip! The kids were crazy about the kangaroos!
This place is amazing. I went this week with husband and daughter and it was the best time. You can touch and hold every animal they are awesome. The owner and daughter are there through the entire experience and we got to meet Nee Nee. Love this place!!! Looking forward to next season on Tlc.
Great family place, went for Halloween and they had nice costumes and they even let a sloth roam around
Great place. Anna was a great guide. Terrific learning experience!
What an AMAZING place! Friendly staff, incredibly sweet animals and excellent tour! If possible I would reccomnend asking for Anna to be your tour guide. She was incredible. Very knowledgable, made everyone feel welcome and was very encouraging through the entire trip! I would 10/10 recommend to ANYONE wanting something fun to do!
Sam was a great tour guide. My children had the best time learning all about the animals.
A totally amazing day, I am so glad that we came here. Staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable and the facility is awesome! I can't believe how many of the animals we were able to interact with! Highly recommend for families and children of any ages, grandmas and grandpas too!
My daughter, granddaughter and myself just visited It's A Zoo LIife. We had the best time ever. Anna was so imformative and really cares about all the animals. We also got to go in there home and were so welcomed and also were able to meet Nae Nae, Bobby Jo and her husband. I would recommend this destination to everyone. They also have a summer camp for children. We came from New York and I would drive it again just to visit again. Would love to work there....
My 10 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Anna was a knowledgeable and patient tour guide. We even got to meet Bobbi Jo! Our favorite was meeting Belt, the sloth!❤ We will definitely return soon!

We went on a Friday and had an amazing tour with Brandon. He was knowledgeable of all the animals and did a great job answering the questions from adults and kids. We had an amazing tour and will be back.
Very much fun. Went with my grandbaby and she was just loving it . Will go back again. Got to hold baby wallaby. A head get hog and a fenic fox named foxann. Our tour guide Dillon was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
My family had a wonderful time here. Kendall our guide was amazing.

Awesome hands on interaction with exotic animals from all over the world. Top 5 coolest experiences ever.
Anna, our guide was amazing. Although it was miserably hot, the staff provided cool bottled water. Great close up encounter with some great animals!
Amazing experience for my 6 year old’s birthday!! Bobbi Jo gave us some great additional fun with the baby mara’s!! Cody was an incredible guide who had an incredible amount of knowledge about all of the animals!!
The staff was very friendly and tell you about the animals, their names, and history! All of the animals were sweet and you could pet most of them. A fun venue for kids or for those that a have a love for animals. My favorite were the lemurs, they are fun to watch..if you take carrot or apples they will live you even more....
My 10 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Anna was a knowledgeable and patient tour guide. We even got to meet Bobbi Jo! Our favorite was meeting Belt, the sloth!❤ We will definitely return soon!

It was good experience and Dilan showed us a lot about those animals
Highly recommend this place! The staff was so welcoming. Our tour guide, Kindall, was fantastic and knew so much about the animals. Also, the interaction with the animals was an experience I'll never forget.
Great place to take kids and learn about some exotic animals, Anna and Bo were great! My son loved Axel and the hedgehogs!
This place was so fun!! We loved seeing and interacting with all the animals! Our tour guide, Jacob, was fantastic and so knowledgable about all the animals! Definitely recommend! Bring water, sunscreen and bug spray!
Great place. Knowledgable tour guide
Very nice experience. The place was very clean, all of the animals seemed happy. The staff was very friendly. They even had someone drive me around in a golf cart because I have difficulty walking. Apparently there is a tv show about this place. I have never seen it but most in our group had. I was very impressed with everything.
We had a great experience here and loved all the animals. Petting and feeding the kangaroos was awesome. MK did a great job as our tour guide!
Dylan was an excellent guide and Bobby Joe was unbelievably kind and welcoming to our summer campers. Can't wait to go again!
Great time on our fieldtrip And Justin was a great tour guide ! Many diverse and interesting animals to enjoy!
Justin and Haley did an awesome job leading our school group and teaching the kids about all of the animals. Great up close and interactive experience
Great up close and educational experience. Jacob was a great tour guide.
I must admit when I pulled up with my wife and 3 grandkids I thought this place doesn't look like much.....don't judge a book by it's cover! We had a fabulous time, we took the 1pm one and a half hour tour with a young lady who has only been there for 2 weeks. I must say she had the knowledge of someone who you would of thought had been there 2 years. Our grandkids got to pet kangaroos and a camel right off the bat and it only got better from there. They got to see porcupines, sheep, bulls, long horn steers, pigs, tortoises, a zebra and so so so much more including their favorite animal to pet, a wolf. Our 5 and 6 year old grandchildren asked what seemed like 200 questions and this young lady answered most of them without it being any problem. They also got a worker who was cleaning the porcupine cage to hand a few of their needles that came off their bodies for a keepsake souvenir. They never rushed us through the zoo and we will tell everyone about this place and 100% go back again! It cost $20 for adults and children ages 6 and up, $10 for kids 3-5 and children 2 and under are free!
MK was an awesome tour guide!!! We loved our experience here today!!
It was a wonderful day. The animals were fantastic!!! I would go again! The staff is kind and well educated about the animals.
The animals, staff, and facility were awesome. Our tour guide, Kendall, was very knowledgeable, great with the kids, and super friendly!
Had a wonderful time with my family at the zoo today. MK was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had. While the drive was a little lengthy, I feel that it was definitely worth it. My kids got to pet a wolf...how often does this happen?! Big shoutout to the facility!
I came here with my mom, grandma and my husband, all adults, and we had an amazing time! Anna was our tour guide and she was amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable!! My husband and I are definitely coming back to take our teen to visit! Great experience... you get up close and PERSONAL with the animals! Highly recommend!!
Such a great experience. MK was the best, she was so nice, knowledgeable, and patient! Even on a hot day she made it a great experience!
We had an awesome time! Kindall our tour guide was amazing! She was fun, safe and full of knowledge! You don’t want to miss this experience! When you go ask for Kindall specifically to be your guide, you won’t be disappointed! Loved our whole experience from start to finish!
Wonderful place for the family
Love this place and very friendly animals...Rather go there than to Asheboro Zoo.
Very nice staff and the animals are well taken care of.
Wonder, caring staff that opens the doors the doors of their home to the public. The animals appear well taken care of and are quick to come up for a quick nibble to eat or a scratch behind the ear. Our daughter loved it and even cried when she had to leave the ducks.
Went with my daughters school today and it absolutely the best trip yet!! We loved Anna the guide, she was very explanatory and has an awesome personality!!!
Great experience. Really hot in June so definitely recommend a hat and bringing water. Cody and Anna were very knowledgeable and wonderful tour guides. Enjoyed seeing/petting/holding the various animals
Our field trip to It’s A Zoo Life with Eastern Elementary was awesome! The zoo itself was so clean and nice, and Justin was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable on the animals, and took the time to really interact with the kids. I highly recommend It’s A Zoo Life and having Justin as your tour guide!

We accompanied our girls school group and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Our tour guide Anna was amazing, knowledgeable and took the time to answer every child's excited questions! We will definitely be back!!!
Friendly staff, interact closely with the animals, while still putting the animals comfort first.
Very good place to take your children or just your to see animals that you normally don't see unless you go to a big zoo. It is just a few minutes away from Greenville NC.
Had a great time, enjoyed the guide and all of the animals.
Oh my this is hands down the most amazing place I have ever been to!The service is so polite and giving. All the animals are very sweet and completely tame!My drive was 2 hours but it was worth the trip and I will definitely be coming back here again soon! Also shoutout to Ryan and Anna our tour guides, they were both so sweet and funny
Wonderful one of a kind experience! Hands on interaction with most of the animals makes this zoo unforgettable. You can see and feel the love that goes into each animal's care and habitat. MK was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable of all the animals, engaging and funny. My daughter enjoyed her birthday visit to the zoo so much, from the love tap by Sugar Ray to the sweet kiss on the cheek from Axel Rose, that she wanted to move in. We can't wait to return!
We took our group to this amazing place! We had no idea how incredible our experience would be, or that our tour guide Kendall would be so knowledgeable, patient and helpful with all of the kiddos! Everyone was so accommodating and this was very different than any zoo we've been to-hands on with so many unique and beautiful animals. The owner brought animals to the kids and spent some one on one time. LOVE LOVE LOVE! We will all be back! Excited for all the holiday events and camp offerings too!
We spent our day touring It's a Zoo Life for my birthday. It was an unforgettable experience! Anna was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. You could tell she (and the rest of the staff) really cared about the animals. We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves so Anna spent a little more time on the animals we were most excited about. The sloth is the cutest and sleepiest of the bunch but so glad we got to say hi. Bring snacks for the animals (fruit and veggies)! Also, if you go on a hotter day, bring a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water. Other than the summer heat, we loved our time here and will definitely be back!
It was awesome we got to pet the animals and were able to be very hands on and our tour guide MK( Mary Katherine) she was very nice and very informative. Also they take great care of the animals. They were all very nice and so were the animals. You got to feed them and pet them. There were exotic animals like cousins of the cheeta and kangaroo's. You should definitely go check them out.
MK our guide did a superb job of showing, explaining and interacting with the animals and visitors. Would also like to thank Mrs B J for assistingy wife on oxygen by letting her ride on there 4 wheeler while touring through the park. 10 of us went and all will be returning. Thank you all again for your hospitality ❤️
Amazing, one of a kind experience! Our guide Ryan was just wonderful & made sure that we all had the full experience with each of the animals. Highly recommended!!!!

My Daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Ahoskie Christian School field trip today. The tour guide was awesome. We would love to visit again.
Kids loved it the kangaroo were too cool and the lemurs were very active
Nice place to take the family. Lots of different animals and not very expensive.
Had a great time took my 2 year old grandson he really loved it. .His mom and I enjoyed it very much. I would like to say it's a great place to take your kids or grandkids.
Great family getaway. Fun day trip. Educational.
We had a great time at It's a Zoo Life! Brandon, our tour guide, did a great job showing the group around and explaining information and facts about each of the animals. I loved getting to pet the animals - the camel was my favorite!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I live within 30mins although my family lives a couple of hours away. We planned the day weeks in advance. It happened to rain and Ann our tour guide was a trooper. She stood in the rain and told us all the animals. They continued the tour when most places would have canceled. Ann was extremely knowledgeable and kind. It was a great experience.
My granddaughter and I visited. We were not sure of what to expect. But, Wow! It certainty exceeded anything we thought. Anna was a awesome guide. We really enjoyed it.
What an adventure for myself and my girls. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable, the animals were amazing we will absoultly head back to Its a Zoo Life soon!!
My 10yr old son and I agree that if we could give more stars we would!! We had MK as our tour guide and she did an amazing job!! Very informative of the animals, where they came from and even their favorite treats for some of them!! DEFINITELY will be coming back again!!! The owner, Bobby Jo (I think that was her name, I'm so bad with names) had an amazing set up and the animals are very well taken care of, and maybe even spoiled
The coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life!!! Right in our backyard!!! Fed & held a baby kangaroo, held a lemur, herded the alpacas, pet and snuggled kangaroos, was kissed by a camel, pet a wolf like a dog, fed & pet a sloth in a closet. Seriously the coolest trip! The owner is super sweet and was wonderful with my kids. She makes you feel so comfortable with the animals like they are just a normal pet. Anna was our tour guide. She was awesome! Anna was very knowledgeable and made the tour age appropriate for my school aged kids but the adults were still very much intrigued as well. She knows her stuff! All the animals were so much fun getting to know them on a level I would have never thought possible! They each were named and had their own personalities! Can’t wait to go back!!!! Thank you for an awesome experience!!!!!
It's a Zoo Life far exceeded my expectations. We had a great time and Anna was extremely knowledgeable and joy to be with. The only place I know where you can get so close to all the animals. Thank you Anna and Bobbie Jo
Justin was our tour guide and he was great. Me and my kids will be returning.
This was our second trip and they had lots of new animals. They educate you about each animal and we love it because every one of the tour guides are awesome and give you one on one interaction with the animals. I will definitely be back. Our tour guide this time was Brandon and he made us feel welcomed and did excellent job! Thanks Brandon
This place is AMAZING! I haven't stopped talking about it! The tour is guided and the amount of animal interaction is absolutely incredible. Cody was our tour guide and he was AWESOME - so patient with the kids (and grown ups), incredibly knowledgeable, and super friendly. If... no, WHEN I do the tour again, I'll be asking for him! There were TONS of animals and you can interact in some way with almost all of them - either going into their enclosure with them or petting/feeding them from just outside their enclosure. The website suggests some snacks you may want to share with the animals and describes which they prefer. The kangaroos LOVED the bananas we brought as did the camel and the pigs. The apples were a big hit with a lot of the animals too. And, you know who likes grapes? THE SLOTH!! My mind is still reeling from the experience. It was just. so. cool. The owner was so incredibly sweet as well - it was super hot out and she rode up on a golf cart and passed out cold water bottles to everyone on the tour. She also let us see the new babies she has separated from the regular enclosures and my 5 year old fed a bottle to what I think was a baby Mara. She hasn't stopped talking about it! You also really can't beat the price - especially for such a hands on and private experience. There were about 15 people on our tour and everyone had plenty of time to interact as much as they wanted. $20 for adults and $10 for kids 5 and under is pretty much a steal. Last, but certainly not least, I love supporting places like this that participate in rescuing and rehabilitating animals. What they're doing at It's A Zoo Life is truly necessary and beautiful. I can't wait to visit again!
We loved getting to interact with all the animals. Definitely the highlight of our summer break!
Fun times, Jacob was good guide.
We had an awesome time and Anna was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the animals. Will return in the future!
Anna our tour guide was amazing!!! You can tell she absolutely loves her job and the animals. So fun to learn about them, interact with them, and see the care they are getting at this awesome plave! We also got to meet Bobby Jo and Belt which was awesome!!!
Bobby Jo has an amazing place. Our guide, Anna, was amazing. We will definitely be back!
We had an amazing day today! Our tour guide Anna was so sweet, helpful, joyful, and answered all of our questions. She was awesome! Kids had a blast getting to see the animals and touch some of them too. I reccomend all animal lovers especially ones with children to come check them out!
We took our group to this amazing place! We had no idea how incredible our experience would be, or that our tour guide Kendall would be so knowledgeable, patient and helpful with all of the kiddos! I went with my camp in the summer recently and the kids of camp loved it! Nobody didn’t dislike it at all we had met all the staff which were all friendly and caring!! We all enjoyed it thank you Anna, Bo, Cody,Bobble joe and everyone else we encountered we even got free water bottles and the were a dollar each we got to pet animals and enteract with the animals thank you guys!
We had THE BEST time today. It is all we have talked about of which animals were our favorites. Dylan did GREAT as our tour guide and our family learned a lot. We are already discussing when we will come back. Thank you for the experience!
We spent our day touring It's a Zoo Life for my birthday. It was an unforgettable experience! Anna was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. This place is super fun and interactive place. Kendall was awesome!
We had an amazing time today our tour guide/ zoo keeper MK did an amazing job teaching us about all the animals !!!
Very good day for playing with the pets. My Granddaughter took me there and we had a great day. It was very hot, but they kept us hydrated with free water and water mist sprayers on the road. I was playing with the kangaroos and turned to check on the location of the camel on the other side of the fence. As I faced the fence the camel was right there and gave me a kiss on the lips then laid his head on my shoulder. I was so surprised, I almost peed on the kangaroo. I don't think Sugar Ray would have been happy. Petting Axel Rose was so sweet. I would never have even dared going near a wolf, but he is so sweet. The highlight for me was meeting Belt. He looked so small in his big house. When in the Abrams house he looked much bigger to me. We were really looking forward to meeting Bobbie Jo, but she had ran an errand as it was their son's birthday, so we missed her. She promised a visit the next time we get there. We will be back and collect on that promise Bobbie Jo. This grandma is in awe of how you handle so much and seem so calm. Thank you for sharing your babies with us.
MK gave us a great tour today! It was fun
Awesome time with my son's school. Thank you Haylee and Justin for your great hospitality
My kids (ages 5 and 2) visited here today. We had the best experience! We have visited many zoos and this would be our top choice. The up close encounters and the friendly tour guide (Kindall) made the experience one we won't forget. We will definitely be back! I do recommend bringing the suggested foods to feed the animals.
Amazing place to visit. The staff is friendly and informative! We have been several times, and there is always something new to see.
The space isn't huge but the tour is amazing and Dylan is the best: Patient, knowledgeable, respectful and funny. It's absolutely worth a visit.
We had such a wonderful time making memories at Its a Zoo Life! Anna and Cody were great tour guides that made the trip that much better. They taught us so much, truly loved the animals, and made everything fun! I would 100% recommend. We plan to come back!
This was a great trip! Bathroom facilities were up to par. The animals were the BEST! I loved the guide's knowledge and information about each animal. The entire tour is outdoors so dress appropriately and if the ground is wet take rain boots or an extra pair of shoes! The parking was probably the worst part because it was wet and muddy. But it was an awesome time.
My son and I went here and absolutely loved it. The tour guide was amazing and to be able to be as hands on as we were was a wonderful experience. I am hoping we can come back soon!
We had a wonderful time today! Anna was the best tour guide. She knows all about the animals and is very good with the kids as well!!
We went with the school. Our guide Anna was great she really explained and gave good info about the anilmals. My son loved that you could touch the animals and interact with them.
Exotic animals. Well-cared, pampered young animals. Fun activities for the Christmas season. Expanded since last year.
Great experience! Anna did an excellent job, very informative, went the extra mile and then some! We came all the way from San Diego after watching the show on TLC and we’re not disappointed. Actually got a lot more than we expected. Can’t wait to visit again!! Thank you for a fun tour!!!
What an amazing trip! I planned a fun morning for my mom, dad, and son at the zoo this past weekend. The host and our guides Anna and Cody were super nice. We spent more time with Anna which offered to drive my mom which uses a wheelchair and dad around on the golf cart. She was wonderful. She really knew her stuff and was very informative about each of the animals. You could tell they both really enjoyed the animals there. It's was like a big family experience for all ages. My son had fun with the pigs. My mom really enjoyed the sloth "Belt". Axel Rose the gray wolf was mine and my dad's favorite. Their bathrooms were really clean. We will definitely will be back. Thank you guys for the great experience.
Wonderful place to visit with the kids.

Highly recommend this zoo with amazing animals. The zookeepers really seem to have a bond with the animals and love sharing their knowledge while allowing you to interact with them. I also like visiting the larger, more well-known zoo in Asheboro a few hours away occasionally, like every few years. However, I could visit It's A Zoo Life several times a year (it's about an hour away for us) for the personal interaction and to "keep in touch" with each animal and their additions to the zoo family. My son wanted to move into the zoo he loved it so much. Love seeing their regular updates on their Facebook page as well. Really enjoyed their TV show when it was on and really wish the entire series was on DVD. We recorded all of the episodes but for some reason a few got deleted. We watch the ones we do have over and over. Love the Abrams family as well as the zoo family. Stopped by Abrams in Pinetops nearby for lunch and it was delicious as always. Hoping for the show to return!
Went with my 7 year old's class today. It was really fun and our tour guide Justin was amazing with the kids. Also learned a lot about the animals from him! Will go again!
It's a Zoo Life is an amazing place to visit! I highly recommend it! Brandon was our tour guide and he did an amazing job explaining the animals to us and he always let us know what to expect and answered all of our questions. I think it's amazing that you guys provide this up close and personal animal encounter. I was with my daughters school on a field trip and all the kids seem to have had a great time. I know my daughter went outside of her comfort zone by going into some of the enclosures and also trying to feed the alpaca and the sloth. She was so proud of herself! We also enjoyed the small playground and the sharks tooth dig pit at the end! We found several sharks teeth and it just so happens that weve got a collection we will be adding them to. I cant wait to visit again and to see how you all expand in the future!!
Had an awesome time yesterday with my husband and 22 month old. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about every animal. You could see that the animals were treated with respect and how much the animals trusted them. We enjoyed our time thoroughly. Thank you so much for having us and we hope to visit you again soon when Grace is a little older. Pravin,Simi & Lil Grace
Great place for hands on with animals
This place is awesome! I had lunch with mini horses sat with a wolf, and played with a sloth. There are so many hands on animals to learn about
Great zoo! Anna was an awesome guide! I can’t wait to go back!
Loved it the kids and adults had a great time and they brought out the sloth which is the animal I wanted to see. Jacob our guide made it fun and exciting.
Kendall was an awesome guide who was very knowledgeable about the animals and knew them individually. The animals seemed well cared for and many of them were quite personable. Animal and guest safety was consistently her top priority. The zoo had a large variety of animals to interact with and was a great value. Highly recommend you bring some food to feed the animals as it heightens the experience
Love it took my boys here 6yr 2yr and 1yr. They had a blast and my 6 yr got to pet Axel Rose.. a Wolf hybrid Spencer is Awesome and knows his stuff. Can't wait to go back.
We had a great time, our tour guide was mary katherine, it was a great experience, she was very informative! I would highly recommend this to anyone I know, when we first got there it wasn't a very big place, it's not the biggest place but a very cool place!
We had a very good time our tour guide justin was very nice we will b coming back with the rest of our family thank u for having us
Awesome place to take your kids, or enjoy if your a big kid like me.
We visited today and loved it. Bobby Jo's daughter Kasi did our guided tour and she was so sweet and very knowledgeable. We were able to go in and meet and pet most of the animals. Such a different experience than going to a normal zoo. The animals were happy and all of their cages and pens were clean and provided shelter from the sun. We got to meet Bobby Jo at the end of our visit and she thanked us for coming, they are all just very sweet down to earth people. My husband was like great another zoo but he loved it and kept talking about it when we left of how different it was and how nice everyone was. We will definitely be returning to meet any new fur babies they add to the family.
My daughter got mad at me because she couldn't take home the hedgehog
Visited with my family! Our guide, Dillion was incredible! He was knowledgeable about all of the animals and gave us very interesting back stories on many of them. He was great with the same children in our group and interacted with all of us.It was all very organized , educational, and FUN!!! Bobbie Jo is the sweetest person and obviously loves what she does! A big thanks to her for sharing her friends (and her home) so that others can have this experience!
We had a great time here on a field trip. Very hands on and educational. Our guide, Jacob, was awesome and very knowledgeable. Great experience!
My best friend/roommate and I had a wonderful time with camels, kangaroos, tortoises, lemurs, miniature horses, etc. It's right here in Eastern NC. It's definitely worth a trip.
Best experience ever! And I had the best tour guide Dillion! He was very insightful and aware. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I recommend ANNA as a tour guide
Fun place for kids, and you can interact with the animals.
Great little place with some neat and people friendly animals. The tour is just slow enough for adults but fast enough to keep the kids focused. Worth the trip!
I had a wonderful time. It was still nice to see the animals happy and the workers so sweet and lovely to animals. And I also enjoy watching the show.
Super fun experience! I normally don’t love zoo’s but this is much different than a normal zoo! Very fun, interactive & personal! The small tour group sizes are great and our tour guide Brandon made it super fun and informative! Loved it, would recommend!
Who knew such a great experience is in eastern North Carolina. Our zookeeper Dillon was very interactive and informative and really loves these amazing exotic animals. Will definitely be back
We loved the experience at the Zoo!! I went with my family and we all had a great time. Our guide Justin was great! He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of nice facts about the animals! I definitely recommend this place!
This was my first class trip to It's A Zoo Life. The location is beautiful and the animals looked well cared for. Our tour guide was awesome!! I believe her name was Kendall. She was very knowledgeable about each animal's habits, diet, characteristics, personalities, etc. The list goes on. She made everyone feel comfortable during the up close encounters with the animals. I feel she also respected the animals and listened to their ques for space when they were not up for the visitation. I looked forward to bringing my family back for a visit soon, it's just the prices were a tad bit to steep for my pocket. If that was not the case, my family and I would certainly be going back in the near future for a weekend family outing!
Friendly staff. Not too much walking. Variety of exotic animals. Bring umbrella if you want shade. Nice family outing. Kendell was enthusiastic.
Had an amazing time with the kids it is truly awesome place to go and visit
Amazing, great layout, lots of interactions with animals, kids were enthralled! Guides did an excellent job and were very knowledgeable. Nice picnic area for after the zoo. Great experience for all ages.
Had a great time at it's a zoo life today! Anna was a fantastic tour guide!
Great place, lots of fun for all ages visiting with the animals!
Great experience and definitely exceeded our expectations. Well worth the price. The staff(front office, guide, Bo- who seems to be everywhere) is extremely friendly and really accommodating. We had a great day and created some lasting memories. The level of interaction with some of the animals was surprising and unique. Can’t say enough about the exceptional job our guide Anna did- she’s knowledgeable, friendly, and has an obvious passion about the animals and her job. I took 4 kids ranging from ages 12 to 3 and everyone loved it there and wants to go back one day.
Took my family today and we had a wonderful time. Our tour guide, Kindall, was very knowledgable and fantastic with the children. Already planning another visit there!
Lot's of fun at zoo camp for the kids.
Super good day at It's a Zoo. Brandon was an awesome guide. The zoo was clean and the animals seemed well loved and taken care of. Brandon and other great staff members allowed us to pet and cuddle some of the more docile animals. There was a small park and a covered tent where we had our picnic lunch. I'm excited to see their new exhibit coming soon (super large lizards). The sloth, was one of my favorites as he seemed to like me, looking straight at me smiling. So cute!
