This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
It was a small zoo but absolutely a great way to spend an hour and $5 for 2 people. I wasn't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised to see all the animals that they have. I was expecting only a few enclosures but it just kept going! Loved it!
Great little zoo. Perfect for a couple of hours . Staff members Becca and Foster were exceptional, greatly enhanced the visit. Very Reasonable entry fee. Gift store with ice cream treats. Have children program. Call or view online. The animals seem happy and tame. Watch out for the young brunette rushing around in the Jeep she's miserable and not helpful at all. Not a BIG zoo, however for a small town it's great. Great place for kids. There's a kiddie railroad next door, has strange hours, best to call ahead. This is a lovely little town.
Great little zoo. Very cheap ($2.50) to get into and lots of nice animals. There was a bird in the aviary that would land on our heads! We loved it. Perfect for a nice walk.
This is a small zoo. It is responsibly priced. A fine place to spend an hour or two.
This is my favorite zoo in nearly the world. It's large enough and has enough varied animals to entertain but not bore. The admissions fee is percent $1.50 for 11 and under and $2.50 for 12 and older. There is a senior discount too. Can't beat the price. I go about 3 times per year but this time I went with a family with 6 kids from 7 to 17 years old and everyone had a good time. The 17 year old enjoyed it and the 8 year old said "I thought the zoo was gonna be boring but it's so much fun!" The best parts are always the aviary and the otters.
I had such a good time at this park. This little zoo is only like $2.50 to get in and it's delightful. They have a cougar that you could actually get under it because it's has the ability to get above you on a grate. I have to say it made my week in there in Alamogordo to see the mountain lion up above knee cleaning himself. I would recommend this place to anybody.

A nice, small town zoo. Friendly staff. No crowds. Low cost. No line for admission tickets. New gift shop. Clean, modern restrooms. Ice cream for sale in gift shop. Nice picnic tables under a shade canopy. Cute otters. Be sure to walk all the way to north end of zoo to see the wolves. Free parking in lot by the front door. Beware of railway track on west side of zoo boundary fence. The noise of passing freight train is loud. And multiple lanes of highway traffic on east side of the zoo. It's a loud place to be at times.
Have nothing to see that you don't see in the wilderness
Great atmosphere
Good little local zoo, lots of history, could use some upkeep
Awesome awesome and more awesome. We were floored by the cheap price 250 for adults 150 seniors and free for kids a certain age. Greeted with a warm welcome it was a adventurous experience after that. Very close to the animals and it was a learning lesson for us as well. Great for the whole family and couples just out to have quality time. We drove out on Sunday and there was no crowd just us and a few kind folks and the beauty of nature.
I loved this zoo! Took my mother in law and two kids. The place is small but perfect! The zoo was very clean, animal habitats were clean and well taken care of. Very happy about that! They had a food dispenser to feed the ducks. We absolutely enjoyed going in the bird area seeing birds fly around, walk and be free. I highly recommend this zoo. Prices are extremely doable!
I'm a member of this zoo and park great membership deals for all around New Mexico
Really cute small zoo. Play area for kids and only small fee to get in.
Really lovely little zoo!!! They have an impressive array of animals for such a small zoo! It's cheap to get in and they let you bring your own food and have a picnic if you'd like.
For a small zoo and the price this was a very nice little extra side trip. The zoo is right in town.
Great customer service. Very kind employees.

Fun experience. Not a lot of parking area. Wish there were more reptiles.
Fun little Zoo. All the animals there are all rescued in some way. Nice!
Sweet animals and playful monkeys
Excellent price to pay compared to El Paso Zoo admission.
We did get to see several different animal. I will definitely will go back. Price to get in was reasonable.
My daughter had fun walking around visiting the animals
Clean zoo, not alot of species, but definitely lets you get close and personal to every animal. Id definitely go back!
Very nice little Zoo. Very inexpensive
Cheap admission, small zoo you can easily walk in about 30 minutes. Go earlier in the day to see the animals be more active.
The zoo was okay, most of it was not to to a large beehive nest so a large chunk was blocked off, and another section was blocked off for construction. What was available was good and enjoyable. Next time I wl probably be able to rank the zoo higher.
Great place to take the family. My husband took beautiful pics.
I just moved to the area from a large metropolis. So the only word I can use to describe the park is quaint. I really love the cozy feel it has. And my son who has autism absolutely loves the park. He plays his heart out there and can't get enough. I'm looking into year round passes for my family. It's clean and safe. My son can run, play, and soak in the nature all around him. And i don't have to worry about him getting too far from me or running into traffic. Lol the staff are great. And I couldn't be more pleased to have such a unique place so close to home.
Cute little hometown zoo, great size for small grandkids
Quaint and nice. A fun place to have a picnic, but extremely small. Not enough to keep yur kids preoccupied for more than just a couple hours
It's a nice Zoo but I don't ever like to see animals behind bars or fences- animal should be free unless they're injured and have to be taken care of.
Good family place to visit. The con is that it is quite small and needs more animals. Little ones will enjoy it.
Could be better if it had more animals but good place for kids
The Alamogordo Zoo is an amazing place to take your family my granddaughter and I had an amazing time you want throughout the whole place then we had lunch together then she wanted to play in the playground
Beautiful place, lots of animals, and great for kids!!
Kids had a nice surprise!!! We saw a baby monkey on its mamas back!!
Really impressed, particularly given the small size of the town
Was visiting town and never thought that a small southwestern town would have quite the sizable zoo. The outside appearance deceived me into thinking that there would only be a couple of exhibits, but there was plenty to see and do inside. Friendly otters, Wildcats big and small, excitable emus, and a bird sanctuary you can go in. It's a quaint zoo and a quick fun stop for the family on a budget. Truly a fun time.
Great little zoo
A smaller zoo, only about three blocks long, but very affordable and a lot of variety for its size. Exhibits were well maintained. Has an education center with employees to answer questions. Four adults got in for under $10. Took us about 2 hours to get through it.
Small but sweet. Great place to picnic and visit. Only takes an hour. The enclosures are so well done.
The park is nice the zoo surprisingly bigger as it seems. Lot of beautiful animals at the costs of $2,50 a bargain.
WORTH IT! It may be smaller than most big town zoos, but definitely worth it. Beautiful layout, gorgeous and friendly animals and a great time for the whole family.
Great little zoo. Very cheap ($2.50) to get into and lots of nice animals. There was a bird in the aviary that would land on our heads! We loved it. Perfect for a nice walk.
Being that I had never been to Alamagordo before I had no idea what the Alameda Park Zoo would be like. The view from the road gave me the impression that there wouldn't be much to see at the zoo, but that was not the case. While the Alameda Park Zoo is not the largest zoo I have ever seen, it does have several well-kept exhibits, and is much larger than it appears from the street. I particularly enjoyed the waterfowl, and having the ability to feed them. The aviaries were laid out well, too. Taken all-in-all the zoo was well worth the small price I paid for entrance (4.00, I think). If you are in the area, and want to see a moderately sized, but eminently enjoyable zoo with a low entrance fee, Alameda Park Zoo would be a great addition to your itinerary.
Nice place. Good variety of animals and only 4 dollars for baby and I. We went early when the staff was cleaning the enclosures and all of the cats were out. The little guy loved it!
Nice little zoo
This was a great little zoo. And cheap to go to. $6.50 for three of us (two adults and one child). It's not huge but there's eagles, bears, kangaroos, wolves and more to see. Plus there is an awesome play area for kids. Our 7 year old still had energy after seeing all the animals but ran himself out with some other kids on this play set. I would recommend stopping by and taking a look around. Great way to spend several hours with the family.
We all love it. It's small but it is still fun!
Had a fun time with our 3 grandkids.
I never felt sadder seeing animals in the zoo than when I was in Alameda Park Zoo in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I visited the place after reading some comments online about the varieties of animal species in it. Others wrote that it is their “favorite zoo in the world!” I should have not believed what I read online. When I saw the sad-looking state of the animals, I wished right then and there that the animals be transferred somewhere where they will be taken cared of. Small cages. So small a place that it will take less than 30 minutes to complete the cage trail. Not counting the ducks, the fishes, and the birds flying, there are only 20 (or even less) animals in total! In some cages, you will not see anything. Not a single species of animal moving. The animals might have been tired of people looking at them that they hide in rocks or bushes. Thank goodness, it only takes $2.50 to enter.
Great place to see our local wild life. Very relaxing.
Place is nice but on a hot day not to many animals out where they can be viewed .
Such a great little zoo, our family enjoyed it very much!
Love bringing my niece here, the owls are her favorite (:
This is a very small zoo, but we love to stop and stretch our legs here on every road trip that takes us through Alamogordo! You can't beat their price at any other zoo, and they have both quite a few native species, as well as some you can't find at just any zoo, like African porcupines and their Mexican wolves. All the animals are in habitats that make then easy and fun to observe up close! My toddler especially enjoys the aviary, and they also have a full size playground that he loves! The park is very neat and tidy, the people are friendly and helpful, the gift shop very well priced. Restrooms are clean and convenient, and the park feels very safe.
Really cool, smaller zoo that is easy to miss but is actually deceptively spread out. It's not a major zoo but a really nice small zoo with some really cool animals and really nice people working there. If you have a chance and are anywhere near Alamogordo, go there.
Fun for the whole family.
Loved the design and looks of the place and good service. i love the waterfall and all the turtles the animals look really good taken care of.
First time visiting. Was not expecting the zoo to be as big as it was. Loved seeing all the animals active. My kids had a blast will definitely return.
This is such a cute little location. Perfect for a shorter trip for young kids!
It's a cute little zoo - the animals seem happy enough, and the staff are friendly. The grounds are clean, and most importantly they are currently making improvements to the enclosures and facilities. My kid also got a kick out of the freight trains going by on the tracks just west of the zoo while we were there... Not a bad way to spend $4 (for one adult and one kid) and kill an hour or so.
Small but but nice zoo featuring a good variety of habitat despite the size. The price is also excellent for a nice family day out.
Love visiting our little zoo. Grounds are clean, animals are healthy and feed, play area for babies safe.
Very very small only takes about 15 minutes to see everything. The animal's habitats are very subpar and need a lot of repairs. They use treatment plant water that's very nasty there's even signs up that say not to drink the water because it is toxic. The water is also very dirty and smells bad. I also went during the animals feeding time and there food looked like days old leftovers from restaurants mixed with cheap dog food. I understand that money's tight sometimes but the main concern should be the animals health and well-being.
Good place for a family outing. When we went they were doing some construction
This was a nice stopping point to stretch the legs. My son loved the playground and the animals. They also have an area where you can feed the ducks. A must visit if you have kids and are passing by Alamogordo. Thank you guys!
This is a cute little zoo. We loved the exhibits and the very fair prices.
Enjoyed very much
I love this Zoo all the animals where up moving around they all look happy and healthy!
We had a great day at this little zoo!
It is a small zoo but fun!
Know the size of the zoo. It is a small zoo, but that gets you closet to the animals.
Had a great time with the little one. She had more fun watching the trains that were constantly rolling by than she did engaging with the animals. But to be fair, most of the animals were acting unjustifiably pretentious and were generally uninterested in engaging with the guests. Not sure if some of these animals originate from larger zoos and feel that they are just "too good" for a small town zoo, or if they were simply having a bad day, but it did not go unnoticed.
Nice place. Good variety of animals and only 4 dollars for baby and I. We went early when the staff was cleaning the enclosures and all of the cats were out. The little guy loved it!
Way cool zoo and only $2
It was fun. Bring a roll of quarters if you have kids with you. Feeding the ducks was fun. We enjoyed the animals. Will be back again.
Truthfully, I have yet to visit this beautiful zoo. Waiting till my sons visit this summer so we can experience it together! One of my boys asked me if it was the zoo with the one-legged roadrunner! Back in the 90's, the animals were quite limited but we ALWAYS made it a family adventure, complete with "Mom's (my) amazing picnic lunches and a trip to Kid's Kingdom! Praise God for the rebuilding of that playground! Don't forget to RIDE THE TRAIN, and wave at everybody as you go by! Ah, life's simple pleasures in our community Paradise! God Bless! P.S. And don't forget to stop at the Rustic Cafe for a quick bite on the way back to Ruidoso. I recommend the chicken fried steak however, it's ALL GOOD! Best STAFF (and OWNER!) in town! Love you guys.
The oldest zoo in the southwest. Improvements are being made. Places for the kiddos to play. Decent animal exhibits for a zoo of its size. A must see if you are in Alamogordo. Nice and relaxing.
I love our little zoo and all the animals were out and about.
Very cute and affordable zoo. Would go back again next time we go to Alamogordo.
Such a beautiful experience visiting this zoo. It's small but cultured and they always have events going on here! Well worth coming.
Nice zoo for small town
This is a wonderful place to spend a cool morning. The animals were all out.
Although small it has a good variety of animals on display, the largest ones being a cougar and black bears down to lemurs and birds of prey. Shady and well kept with a covered playground and a grill you can bring the whole family for some animal time. The prices are super cheap too!
Very Cute Zoo.. Loved it
Very small. Great for trip with multiple offers kids. It's a nice starter zoo for kiss who've never been to a zoo
Ive been going here since I was little. This is a great little zoo to take your kids!
I loved it
Sweet little zoo. A fun excursion on the way to Ruidoso. Very small but nice. A good variety. Very affordable. Established in 1898!
Park Zoo is the best description. It's a small zoo, but there is so much to see. Not to mention that it cost only $4 to get in. This is a great place and very well kept. Even the staff here are a delight.
It was fun but about 2/3 of the exhibits were open
A great little zoo. You can do the whole thing without crowds, and in 2 hours.
This is a fantastic example of what a quality small zoo should be. The exhibits for each enclosure are clean enrichment and animal focused. The animals appear as though they are never had a stressed moment and live in pairs or better social groups. I have been to many zoos and this is one of my favorites. There is also a large park area and kids play area if you were to have a kids party or company event. This area would support probably up to 100 people.
For it being a small zoo, it was really nice! We enjoyed our time there. They now have a new baby antelope, it was really exciting to see!
Great little zoo
Good for a day out
Oldest zoo in the area! This tiny zoo is well worth the stop. It's only $2.5 for adults and is just big enough to get out and about outside. The exhibits are well kept and the staff is friendly. We will stop by again next time we are in town!
Nice little small town zoo.
For being a very small Zoo, it was actually awesome. There going to be adding more attractions and the education center was very helpful!! Thanks Rebecca Michael, for all the information you provided to us! Looking forward for the attractions and upcoming events!!!
The zoo was decent for what it was. Since it's the only thing there, it was fun, however the animals weren't anything really special. They did have a large collection of turtles though, which was cool.
We love this place. Friendly staff. Priced extremely well. I wish the animal enclosures were a little cleaner.
Some animals like geese beg for food. Others, the ruminants, do not have nothing to eat. Ruminants need more food always, in order to be chewing something. The eagles and other animals do not have enough space, like the cougar who looks pretty sad!
Really cheap and beautiful place. Great place to take small children. Goes back further than expected with a good variety of animals. So many turtles! Can't beat the low price.
Really cool place to bring the kids. The animal enclosures are really close. The whole park is very clean.
It's small but interesting and very cheap.
This zoo was just the right size for my 5-year-old. The staff was super nice and we enjoyed walking through the zoo. The kids also enjoyed filling out the scavenger hunt sheet. The really liked spending time in the playground. The gift shop was not bad priced.
Well worth the stop! Great little zoo. Was very relaxing. My 6 year old enjoyed it. Great little mix of animals. Thankful what they are doing for conservation.
The Zoo is not very big and there isn't a lot of parking, but I thought it was a nice place visit. No there isn't a huge selection of animals but they have a decent selection of smaller ones, and It's only a couple dollars to get in. For it's size I thought it was nice. If you have kids they will enjoy it. Be sure to bring some quarters for food to feed the fish and ducks.
Very chill and calming
Amazing little zoo.
Fun, exciting place for the family. Currently under construction but still fun
Very quiet and nice place, you can see few animals (black bears, mountain lion...) and a big aviary that you can walk in. Even for expend the afternoon over there reading and hanging out
Great time animals are very well cared for. Fun class kids loved it.
Is a nice zoo
Friendly staff, animals are up close and lots is shade in the summer months. Education director was very helpful. My teenagers had a lovely time.
Great little zoo. It was very fun, inexpensive and a short walk. They don't have a lot of exhibits but all the animals seemed well taken care of. The whole zoo was very pretty and my family enjoyed it very much.
Its quite large but most of that space is empty grass fields. Aside from that it is quite enjoyable for the $2.50 price tag. It has a playground in there as well. Currently I am a teenager and I did ride down the slide and actually found it quite enjoyable. The animals are pretty playful as well with the lemurs, llamas, monkeys, and bears being the best part. As for the cats like the cougar and the bobcat, those were in their interior cages so we werent able to see them. Id say the place is really nice, especially with the number of events they hold and that alone gives it an extra star. I would also like to mention that it looks like they are going to add more animal encagements which is nice. As for the animal treatment it seems pretty good for a zoo. Most of the predatorial animals are there for rehabilitation to be sent back into the wild. As for the animals of prey they seem quite comfortable and have rather spacious room. So an extra star.
Small Zoo, but great exhibits. The animals are well taken care of. The education center is interactive and very informative.
I love it because it is small and my 5 year old Granddaughter loves it. It is easy to navigate and since I am Older, it's great to not have to walk so much. Plus, it is next to the park, so there are benches & grassy areas. Which as we all know, it is nice to see green grass in the dessert. You can feed the ducks, as they have food that You can purchase very inexpensively. You can take a picnic lunch or get snacks there, @ the gift shop. Love this zoo!!!
This place is to amazing for words
Family friendly and lots of childhood memories there
Beautiful place. All the animals were very active.
A fun little zoo that younger kids will enjoy. It's a very scenic setting and was comfortable weather at the end of May. Pros: Great scenery, kids loved the playground equipment, animals were pretty lively at 10-11 am, nice variety of animals, at a nice price. Cons: Lack of signage (we got to end and it was just a door. Minor detail.)
For $2.50 entrance fee, this attraction is hard to beat. It only takes about 30 minutes to an hour to see everything. (We have an infant so it was a quick visit) The zoo has many exotic animals for your viewing pleasure. You can feed ducks, there is a walk-in aviary, and a brand new playground. Overall, very surprised this existed in this small small town. Worth a visit.
The Zoo was very well clean and did not stink. The animals seem for the most part, seem to be ok. Although how can you be happy being behind a fenced cage all your life.?? The only concern that I have were the bear, he did not seem happy at all, back where he was. And the wolf. He was not very well at all.
Really fun zoo, especially for the price. All of the animals seem to run to the edge of their enclosures to say "Hi" as you walk up. My kids had such a fun time!
The flowers out front were very inviting. I like flowers. We dropped off a donation check and was kindly invited to come on in and visit with the animals. Very nice of the gentleman. Will return I'm sure.
I don't think you can do better for 2 bucks! For being such a tiny zoo it's actually a nice place to spend an hour or two in the afternoon. The bird sanctuary is great and the staff is friendly.
It was a excellent night the music was great and the rain cool thing off.
Good zoo for the size of the city, but don't expect too much in the way of habitat for the animals.
Wonderful zoo! The animals have lots of space and look very comfortable and happy. The entire area was very clean. They even built a play area for kids, awesome place for families!
It's bigger than what we thought! Very cheap and affordable gifts loved it! So did my toddler will cone back as much as possible
One of the oldest zoo's this side of the Mississippi, it definitely has character for new and old.
Most animals were in their indoor part of enclosure. For price cant complain. Feeding area birds were nice enough let a child feed them.
Small but very nice. Thay had a duck there that was the most beautiful duck I had ever seen!
Great zoo. Just the right size for a great price.
Such a great little zoo! We loved it so much, we went 2 days in a row. Great amount of animals, a gift shop, and a playground.
It was great I got a stuffy and I like the monkeys so playful please come here its a great zoo my stuffed animal was a
Sweet little zoo randomly in Alamogordo of all places. Nice walk-in aviary, fun selection of animals, many surprisingly exotic, like emus and kangaroos, buy feeding the ducks always seems to be the best part for the kids.
"The oldest zoo in the southwest" Est. 1898 Their gift shop was stocked with cool items, a variety of endangered species to admire, an education center, and playground. I had a fun afternoon learning about each habitat during my visit.
Good place to take the kids
Cheap and a great place to spend the afternoon with the little ones. Animals seem a lot closer here than at most zoos. Feel like you can reach out and pet them, even though you probably shouldn't.
Great for exercise an walking my dogs
Y'all this place is neat. No...it is not a "city" zoo, but it is a good zoo for what and where it is. The park inside the zoo is really great too! Seriously it is $2.50 and I think a family year pass is like $15 (I may be wrong, I can't remember the price but it is cheap). They have great educational programs and you can get REALLY close to the animals.
A small zoo, but a great asset to the town. Recent improvements to the education building, outer wall, and pathway around the duck pond and made a huge difference. Admission is super affordable with family membership at just $25. Well worth the visit!
Small zoo but has interesting animals to see will visit again admission is reasonable
Free for El Paso Zoo Members.
Inexpensive and worth every second.
We enjoyed our visit to the public zoo. Well kept surroundings for the creatures.
Friendly staff and wonderful family outing
For $2.50 entrance fee, this attraction is hard to beat. It only takes about 30 minutes to an hour to see everything. (We have an infant so it was a quick visit) The zoo has many exotic animals for your viewing pleasure. You can feed ducks, there is a walk-in aviary, and a brand new playground. If you open at 9am then be ready for the public at 9. Don't worry about your Starbucks and not have your register ready to WORK. We pay your bills You Are a Public Servent ! And Smile.
Fun little zoo. Nothing big but a great playground for the kids.
We had a few hours to kill with my grandchildren while my husband had the car serviced. Nice collection of animals (bald eagles, otters, peacock, monkeys, to name a few). The shaded playground was spot on for a sunny hot day. Very clean and well kept park. Price was cheap for admission!! Less than $10 for my party of 5
It was awesome! I saw quite a few animals. My favorites were the otters, hawks, monkeys and kangaroos. I had a great time!
Love it Great experience. Honestly its better than the El Paso Tx Zoo. The animals looks Happier. My Husband took Great pictures I shared ONE with you guys. Advice you must Go.
It's okay for a small town zoo
This zoo has been great every time we've gone. It's small but it hasn't been crowded when we've been there. The animals seem to be taken care of well.
Nice size zoo to do in the morning before it gets too hot!
Best lil Zoo!
Only $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for kids! One of the best values I've run into. Neat zoo that is larger than you think it will be. Friendly staff.
Can't share much. Took my grandson, wanted to see the animals and have a park day. Hadn't been there since they remodeled but we got there at 2:45 on a Saturday, had about 15 minutes of animal watching before it started pouring. :( Do they give rain checks??
The Zoo was very well clean and did not stink. The animals seem for the most part, seem to be ok. Although how can you be happy being behind a fenced cage all your life.?? The only concern that I have were the bear, he did not seem happy at all, back where he was. And the wolf. He was not very well at all.
They've really done a great job updating. It looks so beautiful!!! The Earth day fair was had a great turnout. Thanks everyone who came to watch the butterflies, they were from my niece's class at desert star and she was so proud of her butterfly
A small zoo but they had interesting animals and the playground was fun to try
Really fun zoo, especially for the price. All of the animals seem to run to the edge of their enclosures to say "Hi" as you walk up. My kids had such a fun time!
There's a good selection of animals to see here and I love that they're all rescues rather than acquired otherwise. The Sunday reptile exhibit is great as well! For the best viewing times try to go during the cooler parts of the day.
Nice smaller zoo. Lots of room so crowds are not an issue.
ONLY $2.50 for adults this place should cost more honestly. Theres so many animals here it's amazing. Best little zoo I've ever seen.
The flowers out front were very inviting. I like flowers. We dropped off a donation check and was kindly invited to come on in and visit with the animals. Very nice of the gentleman. Will return I'm sure.
Awesome zoo for the price. Had a great time there with my three boys.
Better than ever!
We love the zoo
Small zoo, makes good use of what they have. Kids love it.
I love how they work very hard to make sure the animals have the best life in captivity as possible. This zoo has been working over the last 20 years to modernize and upgrade their facilities. I think many of the animals there are happier with their new homes. I just wish the train whistle didn't have to blow right behind the zoo. I'm sure it bothers the animals.
This zoo is very impressive for a small town!! Entry was only $2.50 for adults and $1.50 fpr kids. I highly recommend it for anyone passing through!
Amazing programs for such a small zoo and a very nice set up wishing there was a bit more different animals but they only have so much space
A small zoo where the animals aren't particularly exotic, but you will end up staying there for a surprising amount of time. It's inexpensive to get in, well maintained and clean, and a little bigger than one imagines it to be. Definitely worth a casual stroll through!
This is by far the best zoo in town. All joking aside this is a great place to spend a couple hours, you can feed the ducks and other birds, and let the kiddos play on the playground. They also have interesting events every once in a while so keep an eye out for that.
