No Snow Geese at mid-afternoon, but what more could you want than 1700 or so Tundra Swans? Plus we found the snow geese at another site/field.

Beautiful place for wildflowers, butterflies and birds. Bring a camera, telescope and a picnic. You can't get too close to the lake but the views are fantastic. This is a great place to go come rain or shine.

Great place to take a short walk. There is a pavilion with tables. An outhouse is provided and it's sits away from the pavilion which is in the grassy area. A couple of pay binoculars are available. This is a place many will take nature pictures. It does not allow access to the water. But does have great views of nature and the birds. Many geese, ducks, some swan, and heron

Great paved hiking path great for strollers, wheelchairs, etc. Not a strenuous or far hike on flat ground. Great view of the lake.

The spring migration of late February/early March is a great time to stop at Willow Point, though of course the weather systems make the day to day bird count hard to predict. Even on a low count day it's a nice flat walk and a nice view.

This is a great place to walk and see nature at it's best. One HUGE downfall is that they allow vehicles to drive through and it scares off the wildlife. This is a place where people should be able to view nature as it is intended, as a pedestrian, not through your window driving by or in some cases, speeding by people who are trying to enjoy nature by walking. If they would not allow vehicles to go through the reserve, then I would give it 5 stars, but because they do, can only give it a 3 as it is VERY ANNOYING while trying to walk and enjoy nature and have to dodge vehicles.
