This Zoo belongs to the category of Zoo.
Cute little zoo you can zoom through with the kids in two hours or so if you stop and spend time at every enclosure. I do wish the cafe had more of a selection. The petting zoo is always a hit and if you get there around feeding time sometimes the keepers will let the kids toss the lettuce for the animals. We go pretty often as it's a nice quiet thing to do with little ones.
Great lil zoo, love this place.
Best zoo! Literally. I’ve been to quite a few. This is by far the most spacious, relaxing, easy to navigate, friendly, fun, calm place. Try it. It’s worth it. We were able to get a comfortable spot at all animals easily and with comfort.
It was super quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. The animals were around and visible. Many are rescue animals that wouldn't survive in the wild, and now live safely in a healthy environment.
Nice small zoo . Love the petting zoo , perfect for kids
Great little zoo with a large petting area
My son loves this place. You can enter the petting zoo and the zoo with the same ticket.
I work here at the Sea Lion Cafe and I always tell customers that this zoo is one of my favorites. Its the perfect place for a leisurely stroll and the place can be done in a hour or so. The zoo is especially great for families because it's just the perfect size without getting too tired. (The Bronx Zoo on the other hand is a behemoth and needs an entire day). The petting zoo is a plus. But beware of the aggresive goats and sheep, some are greedier than others and will push the weaker ones to the side. So try to distract the bully and feed the more passive ones. They're cuter.

Very nice place excellent environment and good variety of animals .
They have to visit this place, it is big and beautiful inside...
One of the best places for families and for those individuals whom nature is rejuvenating. The staff are very friend and welcoming as well.
Small zoo that is great for kids. Can see the whole zoo in a couple of hours.
Wow... I like this place.. so big and I learn more about the animals... good for a kids
Very clean and enjoyable. It's very affordable price with a good selection of animals. Good for all ages and very easy to navigate. Animals seemed very healthy
It s a very good place to enjoy with your children
Pretty small but the prize was fair. The petting zoo is fun
Small zoo but a great way to get a quick 10000 steps in. The sea lions are definitely the main attraction! Check online for their feeding schedule. Admission includes a petting zoo as well.
This zoo is very cozy and easy to navigate, it's a loop. It is devoted to animals of North and South America. Try to catch the sea lion feedings and visit the petting zoo area across the road.
When we went the weather was perfect, the plants in beautiful bloom. Loved seeing the animals, a cool spot!
Nice small zoo with a good selection of animals to see. Good for a nice afternoon outing with family or friends! Love that they give you a guide so you know where all the animals are and love too that it’s got a lot of animals that are visible so you can actually see them. Much cheaper than the Bronx Zoo, so definitely recommend:)
Forest feeling, not too much walking. Enough exotic animal to feel like a real zoo. Great getaway for family date or alone time
Love it and nice place and enviorment
Always love this zoo... Come see the baby bears - Ben & Brianna❤❤
Well, costumer service not so great. The accomodations are not great. Make sure if you ever come here, don't even think about bringing a scooter. A scooter for a 6 years old it's not allowed. The cashier asked me if I wanted to speak to someone about this rule. The assistant manager came out, not very friendly. Supposedly cause I was annoyed about the rule. I had the right to be annoyed about the rule cause they should have accomodations. Well they don't. They are pretty strict about. So, Rich the assistant manager was very, I would dare to say, angry. Telling me that with that kind of attitude I was not getting anywhere. He even used the expression, you get more with honey. After that he changed his tone of voice. After I explained to him how I felt. For some reason he thinks he is the only one who deals with people. I explained to him, I too do costumer service. Even if the costumer gets annoyed, which they do, we have to remain cool. You can't loose your cool cause if you do then it means you are not a professional. When a costumer gets annoyed, usually means they are powerless.
Sweet little zoo with opportunities to feed farm animals, calm and natural surroundings, perfect for families
This was a nice stroll with my son. He is only a year and a half. Its a very small zoo. I feel for younger kids this would be perfect. Even on weekends it doesn't get too crowded. At the end they have a cute small playground. Also theres 2 parts to the zoo. On the other side they have llamas ,horses, chicken and other animals they u can feed. I believe its a out 25 cent for a couple of pebbles. My son had a great time.
Definitely a lot more animals at the Bronx and Prospect Park zoo's. Very narrow walking trails makes the place feel incredibly crowded. The Sea Lion feeding is one of the 'highlights' of the zoo, but the feeding area is incredibly small, there's no crowd control and it's all on level ground which makes it impossible to see unless you're amongst the 'savages' that literally sprint to the front of the railing. Overall, eh. 3 stars because I live two blocks away and didn't need to travel far for my disappointment.
Obviously because of the size there is no way this place could even be compared to the Bronx Zoo but it does hold it's own. This Zoo is much more affordable and it's conveniently placed in Corona Park. They also offer a petting zoo so that you can get even closer to some animals
Great place to take a younger child. Small zoo but enough to wear a toddler out. Nice feeding farm too, never fails with the kids.
Wonderful place to enjoy with family and friends. in contact with nature, animals and sounds.
A beautiful zoo. Close to home. The grounds are kept up and the north American wildlife and domestic animals are kept in nice habitation lovely way to spend the day on
Very nice farm animals
Sealions were awesome.
Wonderful small but enriching zoo. Perfect for easy day trip with the family. WCS loves animals and it shows ❤
Great place for the kids, nice petting zoo
Very nice, intimate zoo. Lots of shade which was great. Nice activities for the kids.
Great place for smaller kids. Easy to walk. Not a huge park. Easy viewing. Petting zoo. Bring Quarters. Parking lot under repair Jun 2019. May need street parking still. Ticket price is okay.
A nice place that has been set in the historical view of the world's fair but it also allows local New Yorkers especially Queens residents be able to visit and see a large variety of the animals from all over the world all the way down to small farm animals there is also a petting zoo where you can feed the farm animals as well
Great zoo to spend a few hours. Not the biggest or best but worth the $10 admission. Military get free entrance.
My granddaughter loved it! A long walk to the zoo from the street. Hopefully the construction is to fix the entrance. Signs from the highway not good. We almost gave up looking for the zoo. Once in it is wonderful!
Small zoo. Nice for a quick stroll through. They're doing construction right now on their parking lot though.
Great for a quick outing with young kids
An amazing place too go with your family. A bit small for a zoo but still very amazing. You even get too pet and feet goats!.
Is nice and good if you don't want yo walk long we have good experience and ice cream for every where.
This is a great local zoo right in the middle of Flushing Meadows Corona Park. You can park in the lot, or access it from the 7 train. You will spend a leisurely 2 hours strolling around seeing the animals in the zoo and the petting zoo. It is right next to a toddlers amusement park and near all of the parks attractions. Great way to spend the day.
Great place for a field trip. It's small and easy to navigate, and the 6th graders enjoyed the classes.
For a small zoo, I enjoyed myself very much. Lots to see and take fotos of. Lovely place for family bonding
Very good tour of the zoo lots of animals to look at
Nice time for our kids 7 and 8 years old. Obviously not as big as the bronx zoo but on a hot day it was nice and quick about 2 hours and not crowded at all. Plus it was only a 15 minute ride from where were staying at in Astoria.
Nice little zoo so close to home. Never too busy, a little bit of everything with a great petting zoo.
Great zoo for small children. My daughter really enjoyed.
The queens zoo was great. The animals were friendly and super cute. The petting zoo was great because you got to pet the animals and feed them. Their tongues were really slimy but you got to wash your hangs. The sink was also a barrel which I found super cool because it's a barrel and not an ordinary sink. The animals were also super cute but it was really smelly. The actual zoo was also very nice. We got to see a sea lion show and eat pretzels. the Sea lions are super cute and talented. We also got to go to an aviary with all the cool birds. As we were walking back, we saw a grave yard for the animals that died and it was so sad. We also got to see real eagles!
This is a quiet and very enjoyable place for adults and kids alike. They have real wild life animals and farm animals both where very interesting and polite. The place is really clean and maintained in a very nice manner. It was worth every penny I spent on the premises!!!
Not the cleanest or freshest but the people were very nice.
Perfect for a quick morning outing! Small but we'll kept and nice to walk around
Very awesome place, they have so many different species!
Nice bird sanctuary. They have bears. Great petting zoo. Parking can be tough so give yourself time to look.
Great for the kids. Not big so it's an easy walk
My kids enjoy going to the queens zoo, its small but they get entertained and in the farm we love giving food to the animals
Fantastic food and service is the best.
We had a really great time! Park is split into two. Petting zoo on one side. Has goats horses rabits cows alpacas. Kids loved the cows and goats. Lits of hand washing places. Regular zoo had plenty of animals. Was one ling loop around. Great being in the large Forsyth park. Not expensive.
Great place to spend the day with your kids. Easy to walk around the Zoo and it has a petting Zoo across from the main Zoo and right next to it is Fantasy Forest theme park with rides for the kids
If you buy electronic ticket for a group of ppl. Print them out also, I was in a rush to get my kid to the bathroom on the petting zoo side as it was closer and they almost didnt let me in case i l dont have the ticket with me. There was no warning of u need your ticket with you. I ask if there was a stamp for the kids to signify that I was in the zoo. The worker was not very helpful kept stating i need a ticket to come back in. I kept telling her i came in as a group and i dont have an e ticket cause i was not the purchaser. With a kid that was about to blow. I simply just left and told the other side that I need the bathroom and then just waited for my party to enjoy the zoo and meet up with me back in the entrance. That experience just ruin our trip in its entirety.
Great for a quick and local visit. My kid loved it
Great place for the family to hang out at. There's places you can eat and sit, shortsl walk to different animals. Love this place.
Cute zoo! It is small but they keep it well maintained. I had fun looking at the sea otters
The animals are rare and it is a place to relaxed with your family on weekend.
My 2 year old loved it.. especially the sea lion feeding! It was a nice way to spend the morning.
This place is so nice. Pleasant and nice environment. I really like this place. I had an enjoyable time over here.
Great way to spend the afternoon. Staff was awesome. Forgot my membership card and they were patient and helped me retrieve it using membership helpline

Super cute petting zoo for the little ones, good interaction and the regular zoo has nice exhibits, loved the bird sanctuary.
It small but it's pretty fun
Queens Zoo is great. The enclosures usually have 2 or even 3 points of view so you can actually see the animals. There's an interesting variety of species. The Wildlife Conservation Society is doing good work. This is a 2 hourb wooded respite from the City. Worth the trip. Note: the parking lot is closed for construction so parking is on the street or by the Queens Art Museum on the other side of the Grand Central & a short walk.
Very organized and magical zoo...Food amount of variety of animal's from lions, seals, bold eagle's, different species of birds, alligators and many more.... Big space to walk around with family and Friends, would completely recommend!
I would rather take my toddler to Queens Zoo than Bronx Zoo on any given day. Queens’ Zoo might not have too many runways, overlooks and habitats for animals but since it is smaller (you don’t need the entire day for this visit) and mostly well shaded, it is much more enjoyable for little ones especially on a hot day. Moreover, section devoted to petting zoo is clean and animals are eager to be petted. And after you done, you can enjoy Flushing Meadows Corona Park and snap some pics underneath of the Unisphere.
LOVE coming here, the staff here are SUPER NICE! Very clean, the animals here are very well kept! GREAT JOB! 10 STARS!!!
Great option for a relaxed day at the zoo. Yeah there selection of animals isn't world-class like The Bronx Zoo but, on the plus side, it's also not overwhelming and crowded like The Bronx Zoo. Really great that there's plenty of street parking nearby as well as a huge but very walkable Corona Park and Meadow Lake. A real hidden gem!
Smaal zoo. But you can see a variety of animals. You can feed the sheeps and the goats.
Small not crowded. My kids had a blast finding the animals.
Great fun, nice mini zoo and amusement park, bring lots of quarters to buy pellets for the animals in the petting zoo
Great mid-size Zoo. Good ti spend 2+ hours there, there is a children's zoo as well (to feed goats, lambs, lama etc.) Love the parrot/bird enclosure and the sea lion pool.
Queens zoo of course will not be as good as Bronx Zoo but is an ideal location for children under 5 years old and want to teach them about animals early on. The place is quiet. Not crowded (depend on the time of day), parking available for FREE, and there is a petting or feeding farm next to it, they also have feeding time schedule for the seals, so you can see them do tricks and stuff. What I do not like about is really some lack of exotic animals. No tigers. Lions etc if you want to see those. You gonna go to Bronx Zoo Food cafe can be really expensive as any other typical attraction where they hyper inflated the price that matches or exceeded the airport food prices, you CAN bring your own food and is highly recommended that you do so or buy something for cheap before coming to the zoo. Overall. Great place for younger kid to learn basic animal. And is a quiet place and is not crowded at all
It costs less than $10 per adult and that includes entrance to the regular zoo as well as a petting zoo. The animal collection, their living spaces, and the special activities are really great. Minus one star because food options are very limited, as well as the number and location of the toilets.
Medium sized, nice habitats for animals, not crowded even on weekends, clean.
Very small zoo. But good for quick view. All American animals so you can visit in winter too. The Puma, Lynx & Bear are the best attractions here.
Perfect place to take your kids any day try checking the seal lion's feeding time it's a great show @11:20, 2:00 and 4:00 pm
It was a nice little zoo. Good for small children where you don't want to spend all day somewhere. Had a nice petting zoo as well.
It's amazing, a good place to go with your children
It's only $10 to get in for adults, with free admission with the yearly membership. Parking is mega difficult to find unless you don't mind the walk from the hall of science ($12). It's not a bad zoo, but the entire zoo can be done in 30-45 minutes. There are ducks, bison, pudu, some warthogs, and elk. All amazing to look at but if you're expecting a bronx zoo experience here...you won't get it. Still fun for kids , but my 5 year old got pretty bored.
Small tiny zoo but very Neat and clean with lots of domestic animals..!! My son enjoy a lot
We had a great experience.I would be must recommend for everyone to visit thanks
Price is cheap children younger than 3 years old free. The petting area is very fun, children gets to interact with animals. Recommend.
Exellent place for kids. Off course they don't want to leave from this place. All employees very helpful and very kindly people.
Took the kids out here to enjoy the bird cage... Some of the animals were hiding from us but we still had a good time..
It's a great zoo experience for families of all ages. It's fun and loved to love the tree covered path. I loved feeding the ducks with my kids and watching the bears running around. Families can enjoy the walk with little ones and older parents with stress of a long day at the zoo. Bathrooms are conveniently located which is a plus. It was hard to find the zoo's free parking lot and I suggest that the google maps directions are updated to make it easier for guests to find the zoo.
Good place to bring kids. There are a lot of different things to do besides walking around the zoo part. A feeding zoo with llamas, goats, chickens, bulls, etc. Also small amusement rides although hours are limited during off season months. When I visited there were alligators, bears, parrots, elk, among other exhibits. Small crowds which is nice. B
Great for a days outing with my granddaughter
It's a small zoo but very nicely laid out, especially the aviary. Well worth a visit!
Had an awesome time with my kids. Loved to see the see lions

Small in size but BIG in fun for kids and family. Come to enjoy a wonderful visit!
Great little zoo for young kids.
Great place the only thing I hate about what they did is the prices went way up on the rides, to expensive. Unless u go during the week then its 20 for a bracelet where the kids can ride the rides for hrs .. they are ridiculously high in pricing for the rides !!
Really cute fun little zoo. It is big enough to spend the afternoon but not too big that it's overwhelming. The grounds are very clean. And my daughter loved feeding the animals.
Okay. No free parking despite being a WCS member. Zoo is very much centered around a circular path with no opt-outs. Being there as a single made parent it a limited enjoyment, as the park is very much focused around limited view spaces + pathways, and with few places where the little guy can run-around. I'll go back, due to my WCS membership, but will any day of the week prioritize the Bronx Zoo.
Nice place to go with your family and connect with the mother earth!
Great Time...Christopher Scoufaras was the best!!
It is a nice place to take the kids...
I visited this zoo on my bday. October 24th, i don't support zoo's as i feel animals should be free. Some animals are housed by themselves in small caged areas. You can tell the boredom all over them. They have seals and it's probably about 5 of them swimming in a pool no bigger than the size of two cars put together. It's crazy.
I really enjoy this little zoo. Some beautiful nature scenes of animals. I love the place where the Parrots were and where the water Seals are!
American bald eagles, puma and so much unique kind of birds .
Very pleasant walk. The sea lions are very playful. We spent around 2 hours there. Cute little zoo. The sheep are friendly and like to be petted.
Perfect zoo for toddlers and small children. Entire walkway is shaded by trees with lots of benches in shady spots to rest. Go soon before the Andean bear cubs get too big. They are the cutest now at 6months old!
Good zoo to visit with small, walking children (2- 5 yrs) b/c it is small but has some variety. Aviary and Sea Lion (feeding) were big hits.
Beautiful park Not over priced
Great place to spend your day with kids
We visited this summer and the Zoo is small to mid sized. It was great for my 3 year old since she gets tired quickly. We were able to see the whole park in about 2 hours. Also free parking next to it as well as some kid rides which we enjoyed as a family.
Took my daughter for her birthday. Perfect for a 2-3 hour getaway with the kids. Parking was easily found on the street. Be aware of alternate side parking believe it's Friday 1130-1pm closest to the park entrance
I really enjoyed the Queen's zoo especially with my family, highlight of the day mama bear with her Cubs.
Excellent family outing. Wonderful exhibits.
Went in the winter time didn't see much animals but they do have.a large petting zoo and some great exhibitions easy to navigate but pretty small so dont expect to be here all day the sea lion show was spectacular.
It was woefully humid... couldn't focus...will have to visit at a better time, weatherwise.
Loved the petting zoo. We got to feed the goats and the sheep, they were adorable. Inside the zoo we visited the aviary which was full of birds. We also payed a visit to the extinct animal cemetery. We learned some facts about the animals we visited and the overall experience was great. The only problem I had at the Queens Zoo was that almost everything was overpriced. As in, the food and drinks.
It’s a quaint zoo with animals native to our hemisphere. You can see everything in one visit. I bought my tickets in advance, but still had to wait on the same line as those who didn’t
my kids love it and they enjoyed feeding the animals
Very spacious zoo with kids activities near by. If you happen to drive here, I can tell you that parking lots for Zoo, under construction and security guards said for at least another year, so you have to spend some time to find street parking if you get lucky, I wasn't able to find any nearby parking garage. Zoo itself very simple and unique, the difference between other NYC locations this one has Bison. Location is very convenient, right outside zoo you can have picnics and different swings for kids.
Zoo is small enough to spend a few hours with toddlers. Petting zoo allowed children to feed the animals. My boys loved it.
Very nice zoo has a petting and feeding section as well . Big park . Nice to take the family and have a fun day
As usual! Great place and productcs and really nices staff
Nice zoo and a nice variety of animals. Great place to take the kids. The gift shop and food court are a little pricey.
Queens zoo was amazing, my daughter and I had a great time.
I call it the romantic zoo. in the nature, not crowded, well maintained. beautiful place to go with your kids or loved ones for 2 hours at least.
Great place to come and have a fun day
Not to big or too small! A great walk
it is a fantastic little zoo. Only takes a half a day. It is well worth it. Family had a great time.
It was a nice experience. It's a small zoo but still had enough animals to keep the children interested.
A little expensive for what was there. But kids really enjoy it no matter the size. My kid got tired after the whole thing so I guess for kids with seeing everything it's perfect size.
Better for younger kids and do once around.
Petting zoo is great so many cute goata, very friendly
Small but nice zoo. Prices are great too. $10 for adult is not bad at all. The park and play areas around the zoo are great. Definitely recommended to visit with family.
Cute and small local zoo in Flushing Meadows. The zoo has an intimate atmosphere with foliage surrounding all the paths and exhibits, which allows you to focus on the animal you are observing. The zoo does lack some unique personality on the information cards and exhibit signs, as they just provide information and have the park logo. However, it is very affordable at $10 for adults and is a great way to spend a couple hours on a nice afternoon.
Quiet, small, inexpensive zoo. ($10/adult) Went on a Tuesday afternoon in September. Almost empty. Perfect for a young child to have front row views. Bird sanctuary was the coolest part.
Really nice for a smaller zoo. Lots of shade! It was a hot humid day but most of the park was in the shade of some tall trees so it was pretty comfortable. The Aviary was really cool! Lots of birds all around us! Plus the animals were mostly visable. We had a really good time. Suggestion to anyone going: bring your own food as they don't have a good court. The small gift shop says cafe but there were just a couple cold sandwiches and some parfait. We brought our own and were good. I feel it was nicer than the Prospect Park zoo. It's good if you'd like a small zoo you can see everything walking casually for about an hour and a half. They have a letting/feeding zoo on a separate side of the entrance too.
This place is absolutely perfect for toddlers. Not too big, easy to navigate and some pretty sweet sweet animals and attractions. The aviary is pretty legit. Its a perfect outing for a couple of hours oh and there is a petting zoo with the most giant bunnies you have ever seen. Highly recommended.
Great place to take the little ones for a day of exploring. The petting zoo and mini carnival is an added bonus.
Really good zoo, nice for a half day trip. Cafeteria has a few sandwiches, drinks, and ice cream. You may want to visit the exhibits more than once to be able to catch a glimpse of some of the animals, e.g. Lynx or Puma. You can walk into the aviary, highly recommended.
Very nice. Healthy animals. Clean zoo.
A nice smaller version of the Bronx zoo. The sea lion feeding like always was a crowd pleaser. With limited space, I guess there’s not enough room for the bigger animals like elephants and giraffes. The aviary which was built for the World’s Fair was beautiful. There was also a nice separate petting zoo. There’s only a small cafe near the sea lions that has a limited selection of cold sandwiches, drinks etc so plan accordingly if you’re staying for lunch.
Small zoo but perfect for my 21 month old boy. It is kinda hard to find parking tho...
Always a nice place for kids. Take them to see and feed the animals then they can run around the big park. Tired kids are good kids.. Makes for a very nice day. Other attractions all within very small walking distances also. Hall of Science and Museum.
Great zoo for kids Lots of exhibits. Seems to treat the animals humanely Plenty of free street parking Lots of other things nearby in Flushing Park
Nice, small and clean. Good for children
The Wildlife Conservation Society put in a lot of effort into the four zoos and the aquarium in NYC. Queens Zoo is a great place to learn and see unique species of animals including a petting zoo for children to feed and interact with domesticated animals. The zoo is also easily navigable with friendly staff members.
My kids loved it . The set up is much like a nature walk
Very nice zoo. It's small and not that crowded.
I love this zoo... Children zoo is amazing looks like a farm and it is very clean and safe. Toddler can feed and make contact with animals. I recommend this place to take the children.
My niece is in Zoo Camp this week. We decided to check out the zoo together after her camp day was over. We had a great time. Animals were out in every habitat so we saw all of them, which is unusual. We also saw 2 bear Cubs born this patt January. They were playing and having fun. I look forward to going back soon.
My kids always have fun
Pro: A great small zoo. Very well kept. Great for little kids. Con: parking is very hard to find.
Small zoo but fun. The aviary is pretty cool and has a path that takes you up into the trees. Staff is friendly and there are a lot of things for the kids to do. The petting zoo is awesome as well just take quarters for the food to feed them
Is nice place to go there isnt alot of animals is very small. To me it was nice to go and walk with kids they loved the playground and the dinosaur.
Beautiful little zoo in the middle of queens. Animals are well kept and it's very nice and peaceful there. It is not too well known and due to construction, it's hard to find so that isnt any crowd. Animals look very healthy and happy. The kicks: Bold eagles, two rescued eagles that aren't caged. Bird sanctuary where you can see all the beautiful birds flying around and you can see them up close and walk up to the walkway and see the birds from above. Only 9 bucks per person and children under 3 gets in for free. Ample free parking in the park and in the street.

I love the zoo. The staff was friendly and the zoo clean. We spent about 2 hours there and saw everything. It is somewhat small but a nice way to spend the afternoon
if you want to come here the best time is on the weekday
Clean walk through the zoo. Have different animals. Feed most of them. Rides for the children. Nice to take the babies.
Quiet, small, inexpensive zoo. ($10/adult) Went on a Tuesday afternoon in September. Almost empty. Perfect for a young child to have front row views. Bird sanctuary was the coolest part.
Small zoo. Perfect for a short walk with small kids.
Nice little zoo. This was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter as the paths are wide and perfect for her to navigate. The petting zoo was fun
The zoo is clean and a nice zoo for kids up to 6ish. It a nice walk not a long walk for them to get tired and cranky. The petting area could be a little more sanitary. There isn't a lot to eat there. You should pack a little picnic. There is just snacks and drink available. And gifts.
Small and quaint. My 2 year old loved it.
Very nice place for kids
Really nice for a smaller zoo. Lots of shade! It was a hot humid day but most of the park was in the shade of some tall trees so it was pretty comfortable. The Aviary was really cool! Easy to navigate and fun to bring the family along. Two hours well spent.
Great place for kids! When we were there they have a quiz-game for kids with small presents in the end.
Scaled down version of bronx zoo, great for children, separated into two sections, wild animal exibits and a petting and feeding farm. You can cover it all in less than two hours for $10. Parking lot is under construction and street parking is limited. Small amusement park next door for the kids.
Lots of fun for little ones. Farm animals were fun to feed for my kid. Not a great place to go with older kids. Too small a place for them.
First time today.. small easy to go around but 2 thing 1- no food place to eat just a cold sandwich and to $$ anyway got water lol 2- some of the birds they look so sad and didn't fly, and some animal didn't get to see maybe it was empty BUT IT WAS GOOD
It was very relaxing and very informative kids loved it
Although small, this is a very nice zoo that offers unique experiences. The Aviary is amazing and lets you watch parrots, parakeets and other birds from up close with no fences between you and the birds. There are also other cool animals like bisons, pumas, bears etc. Combined with a visit to the other attractions in Corona park, this is a great outdoor destination in NYC.
very interesting and great entertainment for children
Kids had a blast. Zoo isn't to big, and we went to the petting zoo and there is a little carnival in close proximity, so we made a day of it. FYI:DO NOT EAT at the hot dog stands. You was warned.
It's a tiny place with few birds and animals with high ticket price. It'll take not more than an hour to visit the entire place. Only good thing is kids can feed goats and llamas and there is seal/see lion show.
Good spot for quick visit with kids.
Excellent place. I would love to recommend this place! Visit once you will automatically attached with this place.
Animals are very visible and when we went wasn't over crowded. You can definitely take your time and see animals more then once. See lion feedings get a little packed but still saw everything. Great place for family and kids
Beautiful zoo with lots of green space to walk around and different animals to see.
This is not a large zoo, but it was a very enjoyable place with animals of the Americas nicely displayed. We took our time with our 9 and 11 year old, and, including the petting zoo, spent about 3 hours. It could be done faster. It is set up on an easy to follow circuitous path. Definitely bring a lunch unless you want a few basic wraps/sandwiches to chose from. No parking lot, and the 7 train isn't super close, but for native New Yorkers, the walk from there wouldn't be anything unusual.
Small zoo. I liked it. Clean area and not too crowded.
