REVIEWS OF Lehigh Valley Zoo IN New Jersey

Tobey Schwartz

Animals were great. Many bees to deal with. Admission price a little high. Would not give any type of discount to our school group of 5 special needs teens accompanied by a teacher, 2 assistants + a nurse.

abagail gutierrez

I would have given this place 5 stars if not for the fact that it was SWARMING with bees. Everyone was complaining about it. You couldn't stay in one place for too long or there were like 6 on you alone. We pretty much had to rush through because of all the bees. So upsetting. We drove 2 hours to be able to go with our kids.

Tami Herzog

My husband and I went in a hot summer morning a few weeks ago. I grew up here and so I know this is one of our hidden treasures. The staff loves to answer all questions you may have. I could spend the whole day watching the penguins! The two giraffes were amazing to see. The zoo is just the right size as you get to see a lot without getting bored. Great place to take the kids and great place for a cute and fun date! Bravo to the staff!

Monique Isham

Small with little thought to the public ability to see some of the shy animals. Only nice thing was the giraffe experience...but u got 3 small peices of romaine lettuce and less that 1 minute for all 3 kids to feed 3 pieces each. Not a stellar experience but we have been to many zoo's.

Jenna Jimenez

I love this zoo! I've been coming here since I was little. They have a nice variety of animals and it's not a far drive from me

Frank Fontanez

Great family friendly environment.

Rick Guyton

Great place to take the kids

Anthony Coates

You can get up close and personal unlike larger crowded zoos.

Nice clean zoo! Natural habitat.

Kirsten Hoffman

Small. The bathrooms smaller then ive ever seen before but the do have changing tables in the womans bathrooms. And staff can't give proper change.

Realtor Lisa Armellino

This place is so nice, kids had a blast!! No crowds, just space!!!

Ronnie Bixler

Peacefully tucked away. Great place to relax and enjoy wildlife with children.

Heather Sievers

My kiddos love animals and had such a fun time at the zoo. Only complaint is there were a lot of bees

Susana Castellanos

Pretty cute zoo...nice interacting activities with some animals

jennifer Umstead

Closed due to power company but yet no reconciliation on their end. I took a day off work and brought my twins here to find out they have no intention on opening any time soon. Won’t even let the kids play on the slides. Instead of offering some kind of voucher to come back they just walk away. My poor little ones are crying their eyes out. SUPER DISAPPOINTED.

AnnaBeth Feltner

Nice little zoo - perfect for toddlers!

Megan

We walked the whole zoo from 11:30-1, had lunch, then hit the gift shop. Food is good, and prices on everything are what you'd expect. Don't feel pressure to get tokens at the gate - they can be purchased throughout the zoo, and personally I think are a waste of money anyway. The ticket to feed the giraffe is worth it though. Overall a nice day trip.

Garett Michaels

Nice place for a good afternoon.. small enough to do in a few hours but yet big enough to spend as much time as you want

Rachel Polayes

Very clean, family friendly zoo! It’s place to go for a afternoon out!

Kandies Komz

I went with my kids and their kindergarten class. We got to walk around and see some animals but many of them were sleeping. The area was very scenic and family oriented. The kids were amazed by the animals that they did see and we got to feed the giraffes. Its not everyday you get to have such an experience!

Billie Jean Turner

It was amazing.... It was fantastic watching the grandbabies feeding the giraffe

Brian Hayes

Awesome little zoo. Beans was the best

John Shane

I can't really rate it as a zoo but can rate it for the event we were there to see, and the was Christmas. Lots and lots of lights and the area was clean and cheerful. We were there at night so no animals were out and about but the staff were friendly and the whole zoo was lit up for Christmas. Look, this isn't Longwood Gardens and you won't pay the LG prices, but it is a great place to bring the young ones to get into the spirit of the season.

Ray Higgins

What a great place to take the family. Super clean and was not crowded. Great staff that was very engaging. Good selection of animals that are well taken care of. Pricing is beyong reasonable.

Malachi Johnson

Loved the zoo!! My family and I were able to feed the birds and goats it was a fantastic experience. Go try on a clear sunny day!!

Monique Isham

We came from NJ and arrived 1 hour before they close . I asked at the door if there is any discount because we were going to stay only an hour and the lady said No in a rude way so we paid full price, she asked me if I wanted to donate money to the zoo and I said no and she got upset and started yelling and talking back to me . We felt so bad but we didn’t want that her actitud change our plans . We enjoyed so much , there are a lot of animals even though is not as big as the Bronx Zoo but it's very well kept. Beautiful scenery nice picnic areas outside of zoo. When it was time to go , (4 pm ) I was feeding my baby and a worker came and asked us in a rude way to leave , I explained that I was feeding my baby but still he was rude with us. We loved the zoo but didn’t like the workers attitude.

Emily Eckel

Cute little zoo that's not too far from home. You can feed the giraffes and some petting zoo animals. Not a huge walkthrough...and the tacos & ice cream are awesome!

Donald Currie

It is a small compact zoo with good displays. Very good for kids under 12.

Amanda Polzer

Great walk, fun events. Love the zoo!

Angel Rodriguez

Great for kids n on the lower part there's like a stream the flows its great there 2.

Crystal Wasileski

We absolutely Love The Lehigh Valley Zoo!! We go to the zoo at least two or three times a year. It's fantastic

Bill Donnelly

Quite, less crowded than Philadelphia zoo, and way more affordable, plus kids loved the driving through the creek part.

Maya H

Beautiful zoo. Very big and lots of animals

tj

Fun zoo with a small town feel. Younger kids will like the zoo and the feeding areas. Parents will like that it is affordable. The area around the zoo is also worth exploring.

Jason D

Great small town conservationist zoo. Now with Geakers tacos!

Erik Martinsen

A cold vist, but since it's on the top of a mountain in north-eastern Pennsylvania that's to be expected. The exhibits were informative and the animals were largely active despite the temperature. The staff were friendly and seemed well versed in their animal lore. I would definitely return to this attraction. Maybe when it's a bit warmer.

Becky Colon

Cute kinda small zoo. The view on the way is beautiful. We've been 2 times.

Rose Scrizzi

I enjoyed being at the zoo and seeing all the animals. It's a great place for the kids and there is a lot of activities to keep them entertained.

Gary Maguire

Zoo is cool. Expect to spend 100. Food is barely digestible.

Danielle Gower

This is the perfect size zoo for kids! Enough "headline" animals (giraffes, zibras, camels, penguins) to get their attention and enough interesting activities - feeding, keeper talks, faceboards to entertain. Some of our favorite are the otters, tortoises and ducks. My little guy loved feeding the giraffe and ducks!

Heather Maeding

Great place for a family day. Good variety of animals to see, love the conservation efforts, and great educational information. Love that it is in the Trexler Game Preserve so you can pack a lunch, take a hike, play in the river.

Sara Reitz

The trails and creek are great for a hike with the dogs. Mine love to play in the creek. It's actually a nice creek for walking in, the waters clean. Just be weary about going on a holiday like Memorial day. It was so full parking was seriously limited, even walking in the creek was over crowded. Garbage cans were over flowing, and the bathroom was gross.

Nicole Palmitessa

Very rude and denied my daughters service dog entry. She now no longer wants to leave the house in fear her dog will be denied. Awful zoo.

bryan bockhorn

Bring food and picnic stuff for the full experience! Also enjoy Jordan Creek on the way out! Such a great time! I thought we missed the bison but we didn't!

Donald Atkiss

Great for young kids. Very much fun.

INDO TAINO ZAPATA

This zoo is like a hidden treasure this was my first experience and it was fantastic. I was able to enjoy every animal on display by the zoo keepers to a point where you can actually feed some of the animals for a very inexpensive cost. The zoo is very safe and well organized. I enjoyed this zoo with my whole family and it was a nice experience. Please enjoy my pictures!!!

Patrick Fina

Still a nice little place to take my young kids for a couple hours. It is not comparable to any regular "big city" zoo, but like I said it is a nice little place. One of the best offers you can get is an annual pass and then go to many other zoos either free or deeply discounted.

nicole ballantyne

Very nice zoo. The scenery was gorgeous!

George Grund

Always a great time here, they have really come a long way in providing a good experience for the animals and visitors.

Dianna Delia

Nice walk in a pretty area but nothing impressive. No need to go more than one time. We were warned that some enclosures were not able to be seen but not warned that the walking path was closed too. Lots of people were complaining that you had to walk half the zoo, go back to the front and then go the other direction.

Leslie Garrisi

Very intimate zoo experience, small enough for getting close but big enough to enjoy different animals. Giraffe feeding experience was awesome!

yokasta perez

Fun outing with the Muhlenberg Elementary kiddos and workers

Bob T

We've come here every summer for the past 3 years. Our children love it. The giraffes are just something you have to see. Their enclosure is on ground level and there's basically these two wooden fences separating you and them. So the first time you see them, you'll see just how enormous these beautiful creatures are. You can buy passes to feed them. While it's not a private feeding and not a lot of time, maybe 5 minutes each family, it is well worth the price of admission. Feeding animals in other zoos can cost so much more. The Leigh Valley Zoo does have options to feed certain animals. There are age restrictions and it's extra. When our kids are old enough we'll defintely get passes for this. While it is a smaller zoo, you can get pretty close to the animals which gives you a better sense of what they're really like. The river otter is always showing off. The goats are always looking for a snack. The parakeets love to mingle. Penguins are just, well cute. The Christmas lights show is another event we make sure to attend. They put up lights all over the park and have children's characters walking around. Stations with gifts. You can roast marshmallows for s'mores, or just hunker down with some hot chocolate and watch the movie they have playing on the goat barn. The kids love it

Kevin McLane

Perfect size zoo for the kids. Lots of fun.

Duvi Schmelczer

Amazing zoo. Kids loved it

steven fielding

Small zoo. Very clean. Best part is the ride in and out which provide mountain scenery. I also enjoyes riding through the creek bridge.

Beth Reinert

It's a very nice facility but all the ramps that get you closer to the animals were blocked off with wet paint signs even though paint was dry.

Barb Franz

It's a very nice place. I like that it is low key.

Isaiah Torres

The price to get into the zoo is very affordable and the staff is very friendly but those are the only things that are good about it. Driving up to it is extremely confusing and you almost feel lost. All the animals look sad and they are all in extremely small cages for their sizes. We finished the zoo in about an hour & this was with us stopping to feed the birds and the goats twice. This is definitely a zoo for little kids but if you’re an adult, it will be disappointing.

INDO TAINO ZAPATA

Heidi Stufflet

A great time for all. Not too big for little ones. Plenty to see. Feed the giraffes! Afterwards play in the river on your way out. Kids love it!

Jessica Harward

Fun little zoo perfect for young kids

Thea Correll

Great getaway. Animals look happy and well taken care of. Celebrated my Aunt and Uncles 50th Anniversary here. Lots of hands on opportunities.

forgeblast

Beautiful place nice spacious enclosures, great place to bring kiddo's.

Andrew Weaver

The wide open area was great but seemed a bit neglected or not maintained very well

Stephanie Jackson

Reasonable pricing. We loved feeding the giraffe

Andrés Pérez Hernández

An amazing place, with a very clear and well-achieved conservation goal. A must if you are passing by Allentown, PA.

Angela Waitword

It was a nice day. A lot of the zoo is out in the open not shaded. The day we went we couldnt find or see a lot of the animals. Not a very big zoo. The price I paid that day did not match the price I saw online so I was confused by that.

Corinne Peck

Great for families and lots of activities and options. Beautiful surrounding area

Justin Haydt

This place is a great alternative to a big city zoo if you find yourself in the area! Very down-home feel and a great drive through the preserve. Staff are very excited to help and always showed passion. Great price too!

michelle reiser

It was mediocre. The highlight for me was giving the giraffe 3 leaves for $4 for 1 second and being shoved along by the staff. The otters had a great habitat and were adorable. Overall I wasnt very impressed. Philadelphia zoo is a lot better.

Avani Patel

If I could give this zoo zero stars, I would. This zoo made everyone pay extra for a field trip even if they had a membership. Their “educational” program for 3 year olds was more appropriate for 6-7 year olds and very boring. This “educational” program cost $13 a person (I have a membership and had to pay the extra for myself and my child). None of the animals were out and there was no place to purchase food even though the zoo was open. There was only a 5 minute window to see the giraffes after which they were locked back into their tiny enclosure. Another time, when I was not a member, their credit card machines were not working and they told us to go home after we drove 45 minutes to visit. This zoo is horrible. I will never visit this zoo again and will discourage others from visiting. Go to the Philadelphia zoo. It’s so much nicer and easier to get to.

Erin McCarthy

We love going to the Lehigh Valley Zoo! There is usually activities for the little ones and lots to learn and explore. There is also a playground inside the Zoo.

Kelly Cassagne

The zoo is not as big as the Bronx Zoo but it's very well kept. My kids had a great time feeding the goats. Very reasonable priced tickets. Beautiful scenery nice picnic areas outside of zoo. Great place for families

Emily Palazzo

A quiet zoo perfect for a relaxing day. Make sure to buy some tokens to feed the animals!

Chefkey Boards

Good quality animal showcase and nice setting in a quiet area.

John David Barkley

Cool local zoo. They do a lot of the kids.

Katt K

Great atmosphere. Animals seemed well taken care of. Staff is friendly & polite. Had a great time.

G Paul Payton

Our first visit since moving to upper Bucks. Very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the location, the variety of animals, and the platform viewing areas for many of the larger animals. The food service was good and priced very reasonably. Our teen granddaughters had a great time.

Robert Langley

Cool local zoo. Can be pricy because there are exhibits that you have to pay extra for. But its a nice place in a cool location. The Xmas light show is nice. The drive through part you can drive through/across a river in your car during the summer. And there's a lot of parts in the nature preserve that are free just to drive through and picnic.

Teresa Dilts

I love this zoo. It's not that big, but you can definitely walk around a few times. Feed the animals, take pictures of them. It's especially fun in the winter, when the lights are on, they have S'mores pits, Hot Chocolate, coffee, tea. Gifts for the kids, the walk ways are cleared. Take the littles, you can get yearly passes, which helps feed the animals, and with vets.

Andre Ashford

Small zoo but good place to visit on weekend

Patrick Fina

Still a nice little place to take my young kids for a couple hours. It is not comparable to any regular "big city" zoo, but like I said it is a nice little place. One of the best offers you can get is an annual pass and then go to many other zoos either free or deeply discounted.

Marissa McKenna

We love the Lehigh Valley Zoo! It's smaller than the Philly Zoo, but has just enough wildlife and exhibits for a 2-3 hour visit. The zoo is super clean, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved it so much the first time that we got an annual membership for whole family. We can now visit all year long!

Eva M Valerio

Experience was ok, but we were hoping to see more animals.

Roy Hottenstein

Kids will love it. Pretty decent variety of animals

Fist of The First Men

Loved how it continues to grow cant wait til it becomes larger with crocs and large cats

Dave Kuntz

Great place lots of fun. Small but not very crowded my 1 year old really liked it.

Prince Allart

Really relaxing zoo. Best times to come are when they open. You can see the animals excited to be fed... And feed some like the giraffes and birds. After they eat they all went to nap... Some gold complained but I really loved my visit there. Not too many people and a great bunch of animals to look at. There is also a playground for small kids in case they need an outlet for their energy.

John Cullen

Nice local zoo in the heart of the Trexlar Nature Reserve. Allow at least two hours to see everything but you COULD spend the better part of the day there. Has something for wide range of ages.

Natalia Rondon

Great Zoo. Beautiful animals. Feeding the Giraffes was a great experience! Must go!!!

Jonathan Lee

Family friendly zoo. small, but good enough size for running kids. On the way of the exit, you will go through Trexler Nature Preserve. It is a bonus. Worth spend sometime in the Creek, and gorgeous outlook.

Adam Pezoldt

We had a great family trip to our local zoo! This was our son's first time. Looking forward to more trips

Linda Erb

Giraffes! And other animals of course.. loved it!

kathleen barragan

Nice zoo. Learned a lot from the staff. Easy to do in an afternoon or a few hours.

Betty Weand

It's a nice "starter" zoo for young children. You can walk through and see it all in less than 90 minutes. We like that the parking is free and always enjoy driving through the creek and seeing the bison on the way out. The giraffes were a nice addition to the zoo. The lines to feed them can be fairly long though. We visited twice this year and unfortunately the feeding was closed both times. We will be calling next time before we go.

Brandyn Lynch

Very fun, great zoo with lots to do. Awesome reptiles house. Huge birds of prey. Easy to navigate. Highly recommended

Michaela Nicholson

My friend and I brought her step daughter to the zoo. Some awful things have happened to this little angel and she has a emotional support dog that she won’t allow to leave her side. We were walking around the zoo for about 45 minutes before an employee asked us to leave because they didn’t allow animals other then service animals in. My friend didn’t want to embarrass her step daughter by saying what the situation was and why she needed a service dog. Before we actually had a chance to leave a gentleman came up to us and at which my friend was able to explain the situation in its entirety and not only did they welcome us to stay, they provided my friend and us free tickets to comeback. We were continuing our adventure and another gentleman very rudely told us we were asked several times to leave and made us repeat the horrific story. Not only will we not use these tickets, I’ll encourage others to by pass this zoo and go to Philadelphia.

Kathlynn Fekete

Perfect sized Zoo with more animals than you would think. Interesting drive up to the entrance. It almost felt like we were lost on someone else’s beautiful property. The drive out when you leave was the best surprise! We loved it!!! Definitely going back soon.

Tom Yerves

Good fun for the entire family. Particularly enjoyed the Wine tasting festival

Mary Cox

What's the bus driver for first grade field trip. Bus drivers got in free I had a good time

Donna Carnathan

Nice day but NO GIRAFFES OR PRAIRIE DOGS

al snook

Quaint little zoo. Friendly staff. Tucked back in the middle of the woods.

David Jenkins

Decent zoo, not to many animals though. If youve ever been to the Erie PA zoo then this would be comparable to that. If your coming from southern PA drive an extra hour or so and go to Claws and Paws in the Wallenpaupack area.

Seth Blumenthal

A fantastic small zoo with a big attitude. We participated in an animal encounter with Hannah and learned so much about Audy the Fennec Fox while feeding him and watching him play. An absolutely wonderful experience.

Megan N

A small zoo, but still fun and family friendly.

José Luis Franco Rodrigues

it was educational. for me and even my nephew.

Eric Gubish

Great little zoo for the price. Picnic area along creek when leaving zoo with creek access for kids to play..set up a little picnic and enjoy

Betty Weand

Robert Theisen

Very nice clean. Perfect size for an easy trip. Nice animal selection. Ride in and out are beautiful with a creek crossing and animals.

Donna Lavecchia

Just large enough to spend the day, see everything and not feel exhausted afterwards. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Smokey Smile

Highly disappointed was a much better place when it was still the game preserve. Only exciting thing was feeding Tattoo the giraffe for an extra $4 on top of the $14.50 to get in.

Dolly Denniston

Had a lot of fun! This is a pic of the snowy owl they have.

Marie G

Went here at Christmas time & the Light Spectacular was awesome! Bought a membership! Can't wait to go back there soon!

Sorrowful Screening

Very fun place. It has lots of cool animals with interaction with a few of them, a great shop, and delicious food. The animals are always doing something odd, like eating paint.

Chris Shockey

Great little zoo in the heart of PA. Well cared for grounds and animals

Edward Whitby

An expensive day, but totally worth the admission. Hard to believe this gem exists in our back yard.

Amanda Morris

Perfect for field trips for prek and elementary age kids. There's a large tent to eat under and a play ground for kids.

Cindy B

No water available for purchase. Soda machines broken. Everywhere else sold out. Toilet broken. Craft activities that we prepaid for closed early. Lorikeets put away so you can't see them outside of feeding time. Taco restaurant was closed. No feed for farm animals.

Kim DeBlieck

Very nice zoo. Definitely want to go back to feed the giraffes

Nicole Leindecker

A beautiful place... quiet, clean and so much fun to come with the children. Always a good time.

Lauren Griffith

Management needs to improve. Grew up going here and loved it but disappointed recently with two separate visits. First visit, the zoo was closed all day due to power outage but no notice was posted on the website. Second recent visit, bees were swarming around us throughout the whole zoo. They did not warn us at the entrance and I’m unaware if my two young children are allergic as they haven’t been stung before. We practically had to run through the zoo to avoid being stung. Prices are high enough that incidences of mismanagement should not be the norm.

Danielle Wehr

Great place, near by. I got my daughter and I season passes. Visit the gift shops, watch them feed the animals, eat some good food, and don’t forget to splash around in the creek on your way out

Doris Bohnenberger

Well maintained everyone was helpful. The animals seemed to be very content and happy.

Tabitha Lewis

I’ve never actually been here for a normal day. I’ve gone to the Winter Light Spectacular twice, which is becoming a holiday tradition for us. I was also here for my cousin’s wedding, but not many animals were out then, so I can’t really say anything about the animals, but it’s a cute little zoo that is a journey to get to.

Robert Liao

Very nice place to visit. A little small. Some cages were to small for the animals.

kim haldeman

Was disappointed due to the amount of animals that we didnt get to see

Lee S Mercado

Wonderful family place. Kids love it.

Andre Linoge

Small zoo, but great place to hang with the kids for a couple of hours. You must visit the larakeets and feed them.

Melissa DeStefano

Staff was very friendly but my review goes towards the conditions of the animals. There was only two feeders available through machines for goats and birds and every other animal (besides giraffes) seemed sedated. The Mexican grey wolf looked starved and all other animals seemed to be sleeping hours on end each time we came or were awake but wouldn’t stand up or walk around. I felt terrible. Worst of it was, it’s a known fact? After visiting here it seems other people in town know of this (tranquilizing animals) but what can they do.

P.B. Hiney

It is not very expensive & there are a lot of animals to see. There is a petting area for some of the goats. There is a bird area that can be entered to feed nectar to the birds. The downside is that there are a few steep walking paths that make it difficult for strollers & wheelchairs.

Joe Korup

Very nice for it's size.... Good food at the concession stand. We will visit again

Chloe Poffenberger

Save your money and pass on the sloth encounter. We specifically called and asked prior to reserving if you can touch feed and hold the sloth and were told yes. We paid $400 for 4 people. When we got there the girl said we maybe could touch and feed him but there was no holding. I know what i was told. The contract we signed did not state that you would not be able to touch hold or feed. Why would you pay $100 per person to stare at an animal. The entire experience was just OK. She let us pet him for half a second and feed him, however he wasnt that interested in even eating. This experience should be $25 per person. We drove multiple hours to get here. Disappointed is an understatement. I also dont like it when an employee insinuates that you are lying and were not told the things you say you were told. It became an argumentative banter back and forth. We called all zoos that offer this to see which ones guaranteed you feeding and holding and i was told this one did. As a matter of fact the person i spoke to was Josie. They kept redirecting me to what their website states. Thats nice and all but your contract should state this, the actual paperwork we are signing not your website and again verbally i was told and confirmed by her we would be holding and feeding him. Small enclosure for the remainder of the animals who were just pacing. The raccoon enclosure could fit twice in my living room. What a shame

Jeromy Yepez

Nice zoo which had a log more exhibits than I thought. The wild life preserve was really nice too. There are hiking trails in the area around the wild life preserve.

Charles Culver

Not big, but a good time. Laid back, relaxed. Not crowded like every other so I've been to. Surrounded by nature. Very nice, would go again when it isn't quite so hot.

Bill Hines

The zoo is a nice small-town type of zoo with some interesting exhibits. During our stay they were painting or something, which really impacted our experience. Several of the exhibits were empty or blocked off. Prairie dogs were gone, so it was a big sad from that perspective.

gary cook

Very nice place to visit

Louise Milkovitch

My son and summer camp had a fantastic time

catherine bayer

Fun for the kids and lots to see.

Sheila Rhoads

Very nice place! Clean, well kept. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable,

Todd Zulick

If You Like Penguins, Otters, Swans, Camels, Giraffes, Lynx, Gray Wolves, Eagles, and much more. On the drive out of the zoo, see Elks and Buffalos. YOU Must Plan on a Trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo. My Wife and I Live Over 1 hour away and we are members. The Winter Lights also Exceeds Hershey's Candy Lane.

Michael Bodenheim

There are many animals that not every zoo has. The first animals are the penguins. I happen to love penguins. There is also an otter. The zoo loops around, that way you don't have to walk back. Lehigh Valley Zoo is a great zoo for anyone to go to!

Antonette Stiebritz

Hands down one of the best places to go visit!

Daniel Dempsey

The LV Zoo is an awesome secret of the Lehigh Valley. It's small enough to knock out in a few hours, but still a great place to visit!

Ray Ocasio

It was awesome, great place to be at and enjoy time with children or grandchildren!

Elizabeth Poor

Great for little kids! Lots of shade and prices are great. Worth the 1 and half trip!

Renee Trask

We come every year for Boo at the Zoo and the holiday lights display. They do a nice job of always having fun activities to keep you coming back.

Lea Vallette

It's a very affordable, nice location. However, some of the conditions of the animals in captivity weren't all that suitable. Their environments were dried out and it was a warm day, they should have circulating water and what not. The animals just all seemed miserable, and as fascinating as they are to look at, it's nice to see them act a little more natural because they are comfortable.

ZOIE .T Jones

The animals are so much fun to feed the parakeets and giraffes and you get to go there and just walk around and have fun and there's also activity sometimes

M Syed

Nice little zoo if you don’t want to spend too long at the zoo

Laundry Company LLC

We did the sloth encounter with Bean. We will never forget that day. The park is a great getaway for a family

Randall Kresge

Love this place for over 60 years!

This place is so incredibly fun. I took my nephew and my grandkids. And we had a blast. Everywhere you went they educated you on animals. They had feeding areas. And the customer service is amazing. Definitely a nice place to spend the day with the family.

I wish it was bigger and had more animals. But for a nice around with small kids to kill some time it was nice. The drive felt far, but still, nothing beats spending time with family and kids.

I’ve been coming here for 25yrs when it still just called Trekker Game Preserve. It never gets old coming here! I visited twice this year and loved it both times. I love taking pictures of animals so zoos are the perfect place for me to enjoy a bunch of animals. The price point is great for this zoo and it’s worth it to go! When I go I usually spend 4-6hrs each time so I always get My moneys worth and then some.

The zoo was great but by the play ground area there are farm animals and there was a turkey in a small enclosure with no shade and no water. We told a staff member and they said he was in there because he was "aggressive" and didn't give him any water.

We had so much fun as a family seeing all the animals

Deexp_plays

Had fun today with the family .. really wish we could see the Dover otters

What a great place to go! People are so friendly and helpful and all the animals looked so well cared for. We enjoyed a lovely day and got to experience so many things! We met being the sloth, we met a beautiful ferret named Stella, we met a box turtle and a lizard! Even though it was cold all the animals were out with the Sun.

Judith Kary

It is a small zoo and not a lot of animals. Really disappointed

Kizzy Henry

Just had a really pleasant time and a nice stroll with my son.

Zoo is not that big. Some animal cages I saw are small such as raccoon and porcupine and seems kind of cruel considering the amount of space they have around them and could easily expand their living areas. I wanted to feed giraffes before the feeding time closes. Giraffe attendant told me to go to dipping dots to get ticket but when I got there she told me she can't do it I have to go to front so I ran up hill to the front and that lady told me that dipping dots could've given me the ticket! I sprinted back right before it closed. It's a nice small zoo but would like to see some improvement with animal living areas.

Not that the zoo can necessarily control this but there were 1so many bees couldnt stay and lost out of the money we paid to get in

Cute little zoo. We came for the night time lights which was cute with characters. Not sure how the actual zoo is because it was night so only the kangaroo & reindeer were out. Definitely a zoo for small children & families.

Zoo is ok. Mostly farm animals and rescued birds. They do have a few giraffes and penguins. Otherwise nothing over the top exotic. I wouldn't go here if you have problems walking. Alot of hills. We went on a Monday morning in the spring. They also need more food options. It was a 30 min wait in line to get a taco. I would recommend bringing your own lunch and snacks to save yourself a painful wait.

Great local Zoo. It’s on the small side but everyone there is very friendly and had a good layout.

John Kennedy

A more personal experience than the larger zoos in the area. Clean and well serviced. The staff were polite and professional. Not the greatest array of animals but a good day out, none the less.

More like the BEE Zoo .... Bees are all over you everywhere you go there. Shouldn’t even be a 1 star. It’s ok if there are some bees but when there are 10 or more bees on you every step you take then that’s just a bit much.. every one i saw were running away from them & leaving early. Go if you want to be swarmed by Bees at all times, literally.

The zoo itself was on the small side but it is worth stopping by if in the area. Was hoping for some larger animals like elephant or tiger or lions, but the had animals on the smaller size. I think the biggest animal was the giraffe. The animals seemed well taken care of and happy. Staff was polite and handed out carnations to all mothers (went on mothers day weekend) they even had stations thru out the park where for a fee kids could make things for their mothers. Would recommend to friends family. Not as good as Philly zoo but better than Zoo America.

It's a great place to go with kids to learn about animals

Tyler Lund

It's not going to rival the Bronx, Philly, or DC Zoos for size and variety of animals, but this more intimate zoo has a pretty wide variety and is perfect with small children. The loop makes it easy to navigate with even small children and the size means they won't get too tired out. The petting zoo and slides are great touches that keep kids entertained. The unique animals like otters, wolves, and a ton of predatory birds make it unique and interesting. The features like a stand where you can feed giraffes at eye level are awesome too. The price is a bit high for the size, but it's still worth it for a great family day.

Nice fun friendly cheap convenient zoo to visit.

Very nice zoo. Tucked away in a valley with a beautiful ride in and out. Totally worth a day trip and bring a picnic basket and a camera, there are spots to pull over on ride out to enjoy the views.

Juan Jesús Haro

Worth visiting this zoo with a lot of different animals.

A season pass is absolutely worth it. Its fun to come here with no agenda or let your kids call the shots on which way you go and what you do. They always seem to have some sort of event going on like today where you could meet Bean the sloth along with a musician who was playing near the food area as well as a Kona ice truck. I especially like it here at Christmas with all the lights but you have to pay extra (even with a membership but you do get a discount). Being a member you also get a discount at the gift shop and food stands.
