I use to pick mushrooms during the summer months but now they keep it locked except during hunting season. The quads and dirt bike's get to go nuts since they are locked in during the summer months. While i am walking around since i cant drive in!

Decent roads when they are opened. Typical state lands that could use some prescribed burning to clear the brush. Bike trail that runs the northern edge is nice, flat and wide enough to have young kids practice. I've taken my son's there (6 and 8) and they have 6+miles easily.

If you like to hunt , this is a great place. If you like to hike don't go during hunting season. Some nice scenery and lots of birds for the birdwatcher.

One of my all-time favorite wildlife management areas to visit. The vehicle access gates are typically closed from mid March to early September. The roads do need some scraping to smooth them out but if you are running a jeep/suv/truck, you will be just fine. Lot of places to explore and enjoy nature.

I go here for pheasant hunting. It’s kept clean and the roads are maintained well. There are way to many hunters in the little fields and woods they have. I am always afraid of getting shot while hunt because of the overcrowding.
