REVIEWS OF Adventure Aquarium IN New Jersey

Heath Ledger

Great place! I took my family and friends for a nice to the aquarium and it was great. I don’t know if they have problems with their air conditioning and heating system tho. I’ve been here in cold and hot time and it seems that they can’t control the temperature to be just right for the inside of the building. Aside to that, the food is very expensive but that’s not a reason for less than a 5 star.

Cordella Gould

My students loved being able to touch the sharks and the sting rays. The vast variety of fish is amazing! They also enjoyed watching the hippos eat

Gray Supply

Nice, clean, pleasant atmosphere. I have a special needs child and I was admitted as a caregiver free of charge. The staff was very accommodating the entire day.

Melissa Johnson

It was my first time here and although it isn't in a great part of town the Aquarium was awesome! The layout is great, there as re bathrooms everywhere. There are so many interactive exhibits where you can touch stingrays or sharks or other sea creatures. There are even small play areas and little shows throughout the day. We went in July and there was a special running that everyone paid kid prices if you buy online so it was a good deal! It can be an expensive day. It's $10 to park for the day. And even though the website says it's not allowed we were able to take in a couple waters in our bag. There are lots of places to eat and get coffee and drinks. The prices are not outrageous. It really was an awesome, fun, different, educational, hands on day!

Tiff Tiff

Great place to go. If you're looking for something to do, spend the day watching the beautiful scenery of fish and underwater animals.

Tristan litz

You should really come here. It was a very fun and exciting experience you get to pet sharks, and walk the shark bridge, then there's all the aquarium' s to go see with sting rays and a whole bunch of different things.

Jake Mott

Multiple well cared for sea creatures for my family to enjoy in a safe environment.

Great place for a day out with the family. My kids love it there. Got season passes on Groupon pretty cheap and it was well worth it...still kinda mad they won't let me ride the hippos tho.. besides that it's awesome!

Joe Arthur

Best Aquarium in the nation. Great staff. Wonderful attractions. CLEARLY THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS, AND FAR MORE IMPORTANT THEY CARE AND PROMOTE CARVING ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT THAT WE ALL SHARE.

Lateefah Simpson

A fun time for the whole family. Lots of things to see AND touch. Experience a tropical storm without getting your clothes wet and enjoy a 3D movie on the house, no need to pay extra like most museums and aquariums. Don't forget to see the hippos before you go.

Sophia Stone

Stopped by for a quick visit on a Sunday afternoon as admission was included in our city pass. It was absolutely packed making it difficult to see things and navigate at times but overall it was a good experience. They have a good variety of displays and animals - the hippos were very fun to see up close. It was very child-friendly and there were a lot of child-oriented displays/experiences. We took the ferry over from Philadelphia and it is an easy walk from the ferry terminal. Definitely somewhere to check out if you have time and especially if you are travelling with children.

Sondra Knight

My family had a wonderful time here! There were much to see and interact with! It is on the expensive side but you have to figure in that it would cost quite a lot to maintain and care for everything. And we found it worth it to spend the money! Will definitely visit next time we are in the area!

Me None Ya

We had an awesome time exploring the different exhibits with my husband who had never been there. We also had a situation that was handled with heart touching courtesy by Nicole. She went above and beyond! Thank you so much! We will be sure to contact your manager Brian and ket him know of the fantastic job you are doing!

This is a wonderful place just by the ocean. This aquarium has many options for kids to enjoy and get engaged. We enjoyed HIPPOPOTAMUS show. There are many other shows which can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. This is nicely maintained property with lost and found section. We lost 1 of our bag and found it in lost and found area. You can also sit on outside bench just behind the aquarium.

David H

A lot of fun for the whole family. It's big, but not too big that you're walking endlessly. Parking was $10 flat fee on a Saturday, and just across the street. The venue is kid friendly, clean, and modern. Sits right on the water so also has great views. Outdoor seating on the waterfront is a nice way to eat lunch. A must see for anyone in PA and NJ.

Falcon McGrath

Always a good time. Knowledgeable staff and a clean environment. Foods pretty good too!

Courtney G

Really great aquarium. Tons of different aquatic animals. The shark zone was amazing!

Neuroshii

Beautiful place. Love the shark tunnel the most, its incredible. Nice variety of exhibits, not only fish. It has parrots, penguins, hippos, lizards, and others. Especially liked the jellyfish tank and the shark bridge.

Karen McQueen

I can't say enough about this aquarium. It is easy to find, parking is convenient, admission is easy and so is navigating the facility. The staff is very friendly and patient with patrons, especially kids. The animals always seem well cared for and everything always looks clean and well cared for. The new shark walk was a great addition!

Na- na Lamont

Always a great time at the Aquarium. My only wishes for free parking, but besides that the kids enjoy it. There is so much to see and it's nice to just walk near the waterfront after. The kids love to touch the baby sharks and stingrays. My favorites are jellyfish, walking above the sharks, shark touching, huge take with sharks and other fishes, and the hippos!

Shaina Wiley

It's a fun place for all ages. My family went and my 2 yo had so much fun and there was so much for her age group

Joey Chan

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Even though a lot of the facilities are designed for kids to learn about sea creatures, as a young adult I also got to see a great variety of animals and learn a lot. The shark bridge and different touching zones are awesome facilities as well. Seeing hippos is another highlight for me.

Alex Kuilan

Love the shark tunnel but it's missing 2 things, air flow and security. People can get really ignorant. The shark nursery was a cool little add on. But it's time for an upgrade for the adults and some new species to be, if I want to see hippos I'll go to the zoo.

Kareena Gayle

My boys are growing expotentously. You can walk and talk at your own pace. There opportunities for touching some of the marine life via exhibits and it never gets old. Every time I go it's a new experience for myself and my boys.

Julie Jones

Swede

This place is great, if your bringing kids 10yrs of age and younger!. It seems like parents come there and let the kid run wild. Clean facility, more kid friendly environment with side of aquarium.

Joao Rodrigues

Great place for the kids and adults. Kids loved to touch all sea stars, snail, etc...great for 2-3hours family time....

Taiwana White

We loved the adventure aquarium. We love seeing all the under water species. Our favorite was all the marine life sea creatures. It was very entertaining. Thanks for a wonderful time. We will come again.

Abigail Rose-Craver

Fun trip to the Adventure Aquarium. Love that they have feedings or special talks scheduled throughout the day so you really get the most out of your experience. Staff were great at answering questions about the animals. Nelson at the penguin feeding was especially great as he was eager to answer each and every question. Lots of food options in the cafes and vending machines but expensive, as expected. There is a deli shop close to the entrance if you want cheaper food before your visit. BYO water bottle since they have filter water stations. Be prepared to empty your bags and open your wallets for bag inspection upon entry.

Maja Jurek

Amazing place :) Tickets are expensive - about 38$ in September, but i think that it is really worth it. Shark realm is what I loved most. You can feel like you were in the ocean with sharks and other marine creatures. And also Shark bridge, where you can walk over them. There are also places where you can touch some kind of fishes!! I totally recommend this place!

Tamirra Diamond-Pettyjohn

This place was so much fun and my two little ones enjoyed themselves very much. We was able to see everything without it being too crowded. Definitely would go back on a weekday again!!! I like the fact we are allowed to bring in snacks and they have plenty of seating around the aquarium. Overall family friendly place and can't wait to see you guys and the sealife again!

Victor Narteh

We were vacationing in Philly and chose to come here with the kids. There were tons of attractions and the staff were polite and helpful. The food was a little pricey but delicious. The place is kids friendly. We enjoyed touching the sting rays and sharks, and my oldest son kept going back to the piranha warerfall to watch and listen to the simulated rainstorm. He also loves penguins and he got to see some here. I got to see hippos up close; they are huge. My two-year old had his first 3D experience at the 3D theater. The shark bridge was a first for us. We had a blast!

Delores Willis

Today was our first visit to the aquarium. We loved it! We were there for over 4 hours. We loved touching the sharks and sting rays. Watching the hippos eat, was a highlight. Crossing the shark bridge was fun and gave us an unique perspective. We were glad that we arrived when they opened because it did get busy; however, the aquarium is rather large so it did not impact us too much.

Alex Johnson

Lots of things to do there, and great interactions/information about the animals. Would recommend to any child or adult, great place to explore!

Michael Ramsburg

This is a nice aquarium and an enjoyable experience. I can't give it 5 stars because I have been to both National Aquarium in Baltimore and Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach and they are both clearly superior. The hippos, penguins and rays were highlights for me.

Niy Mu

Really nice aquarium. It was packed when I visited, as it was a holiday. But it's nice that they have reduced admission for all on weekdays.

Cargirl458

Great place to waist money. I remember when I was 10 years old that they had seals. They got rid of them. Also everything is so basic. Like we have sharks and fish

Charlotte Rubin

Oh wow I was not expecting this place to be as cool as it is. They have hippos and a large penguin exhibit as well as lots of learning experiences. I was here for 3 hours with my daughter from open to about 2 before it got too busy.

Travis Hill

This aquarium is awesome. Lots of exhibits with lots of awesome sea life. Multiple exhibits that let you touch the animals. Everything is clean and in good condition. Great place to take children.

SUSAN CAMPOS

Been coming here for over 10 years, great view hands on activities great for all ages

Elias Gerdak

Adventure aquarium is one of the most favorite places for my children. I do have to say that they have a very large assortment of fish and some other species from all over the world. The hippos are terrific and the gators are also great to observe. This place is worth a trip every time.

Lisa Nyitray

The aquarium is such a family friendly place! All of the staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. This is definitely a great place!

Praveena K

Great place to spend time with family. My kids enjoyed watching varieties of sea creatures and also touching them. 3D show was the best of all. This is the 3rd time we are coming and will definitely visit again.

Chandra Pratap Rai

I liked it. Not as vast as one might expect, but it will give you decent satisfaction.

PhillyNEFL

Amazing place. They have just about every species of sharks. If it lives in or around the water you'll find it here. Great place to have a family gathering. Really like the layout of all the exhibits. The maps are very detailed. I was trying to think of a favorite but I can't...loved them all. You have to visit this place if you're in the area. There are several coupon offers online to save you a few dollars. They also have several choices for food. The food court is very nice. Just an amazing experience. Take your time and see everything.

Shejal Shah

The little ones loved this aquarium! Not too big that you feel like you will never see it all but big enough to get lost in the sea world for a few hours. Staff are definitely knowledgeable and helpful, we got to even touch some of the fish! They have an entire zone dedicated just for kids and have interactive opportunities. We went during Shark Conservation and we got to baby shark in the nursery. So cool! My daughter loved face painting (they are fantastic and so fast!) and my son loved the turtles. And the hippos!!!! I dont know why they are so much fun to see, but they are! Overall, a great experience! Theres also a ferry right outside and you can hop on a boat to see Philly and back :)

Marya Ali

It's not as big as I imagined, I was expecting to see more sea life. But the exhibits that they have are good , they need more signage.

Nicole Roche

The kids really loved the aquarium. We had a great day despite my friend and I having kids who tantrum. We ended up buying the yearly membership since it would be covered after visiting one more time. We spent about 2.5 hours there since it was our first time. You could easily spend more if you had lunch and read all the information there was to give. My 2 year old couldn't handle all the directions to touch the stingrays and other sea creatures with 2 fingers but my 5 year old did great. The shark walk bridge was my favorite experience.

Ted Gumina

Great cost. We had a discount online. Very good deal. And the kids loved it. The whole experience was wonderful

Eden Dog

Great place to take the kids. Year passes are inexpensive and there are so many interactive things that it can easily keep you busy from open to close. So many things to see and learn and the little kid play area upstairs will run off any extra energy your little monkeys may still have before you start the drive home for the day.

Terri Sargent

Great place, well organized, staff were professional and the exhibits were awesome. Only thing that sour the day was trying to leave the parking lot, only one gate was opened and it took us close to 20 minutes waiting in line to get out. A better job could have been done in that area, especially because it was newer 90 degrees.

Michael Richardson

Nice spot on the Camden waterfront. Definitely aimed at younger children. I walked over the Ben Franklin Bridge and took the ferry back to Philadelphia. Not a walk recommended if you have mobility issues but has great views.

Ayla Forker

My child loved it. It was a little crowded for my liking. We had to wait in line and travel at snail speed to look through all the exhibit's. Overall we enjoyed it.

shweta v b

it is definitely a good place to take your kids and spend about 2-3 hrs.. but the staff are extremely inconsiderate when it comes to parking . you will be forced to pay in full for the parking though you have a membership just because they dont have enough coupons in hand . they will run away from the booth in the name of " helping " you by bringing in extra coupons and never be back . so the good experience one might have by visiting the place will be squished by the wonderful staff at the exit post !

Adam Archie

Cost $12 to park. Stood in line for will call. Stood in line for security. Stood in line for check-in. Stood in line for the rope bridge. Stood in line for the 3d movie which was a good movie but short. The exhibits were very good and we enjoyed what we saw, but the crowds took a lot away from the enjoyment. If i were to go back, I'd only go when there's room in the $10 lot, otherwise too crowded.

Laura Spaulding-Sayers

Amazing time seeing the animals with my kids, but it was so overcrowded, we had to wait in front of every display to even enjoy it. There ended up being so many people, we couldn't walk around comfortably and really enjoy the experience

Samantha Garcia

This place was awesome. 10,000 times better than the New York Aquarium. The staff are friendly and you can tell they love their animals.

A. Y. H

We decided to go to the aquarium on a Monday during the summer. We got there about 30 minutes after it opened, beating some of the crowd. But it was still crowded with camp groups and daycare groups. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch was the biggest problem we had because not enough staff was working, so getting food took longer than we hoped. The kids seemed to like the aquarium. The exhibits themselves are awesome. The animals are beautiful/cute and their habitats are very cool too. The kids loved all the touch areas. So much to see. Great place.

Jonathan Cooley

Cool place, less displays and smaller than I thought it would be. Cool 3D movie experience. Expensive for what it is, especially including parking. It is in a nice area.

Stevie B

Went today for my girlfriends daughters birthday.. the staff seemed well informed on each area of animals.. extremely kid friendly can pet many animals.. nice and cool inside.. later in in the day seemed to get less crowded

fullmetaljon

Hippos, sharks, penguins, and other assortments of small animals to see. Up and close nice viewings great for a family time out. Pricing is slightly high but understandable because the animals require much upkeep and expense. Would recommend this to everyone also educational for the little ones!

Erisa Bytyqi

My husband and I loved visiting this aquarium! What makes it unique compared to other aquariums we visited are hippos, hammerhead sharks, & shark bridge! They have multiple touch tanks with mini-sharks and starfish. The staff is well trained, knowledgable and very welcoming. The only downside is that since the aquarium is visited by many children, it tends to be quite noisy in there (but that's understandable). Parking is very convenient since it is very close to the aquarium. The price for parking is $10. However, in the entrance they gave us a $5 coupon that can be used towards the parking charge. The view of Philadelphia across the river is breathtaking. Will definitely go back!

Ian Rowan

Great day out for a family. We really enjoyed the trip to the aquarium especially the opportunity to touch some of the animals. I also liked the fact the touching zones close to gone the animals a break.

Heather and Denerale

My son especially loves the places in the aquarium where you can touch sting rays and sharks. We were at the aquarium for 6 hours. It's great for smaller children. Otherwise it's pretty small. It's not nearly as large as other aquariums on the West Coast or in Baltimore.

Tracy Peraino

Very nice place with a lot of interactive exhibits for kids. I just wish it was bigger.

J J

Great place for the whole family to visit! We even walked over the shark tank on a rope bridge! Kids enjoyed the petting areas! Very big; plan on a few hours to breeze through it. Longer if you enjoy reading at each exhibit.

Judy

Great place! The hippos are a true highlight and the staff seem to care about the animals. The shark crossing bridge is really unique, too. Admission is cheaper when you buy a Groupon and parking is $10 right next to the aquarium.

Terence Calulo

Adventure Aquarium is just a whole lot of fun especially for families. Everything is so well kept, the exhibits keep you engaged, and overall experience was fantastic. The

sujay kumar

I had been with my family and kids loved it a lot. They were pretty excited to see all the wonderful marine life. Shark bridge, Divers, Jelly Fish display, Corals, Clownfish, touch and feel displays, feeding the fish were the ones that excited the kids ... definitely worth visiting the place. There is a wonderful canteen inside the premises and we get good options at affordable price. Overall it was a wonderful experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my friends and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Sarah L

The exhibits were wonderful and unique. The hippo exhibit was so cool! I do think that the entrance fee is exorbitant. Definitely price gouging non locals, because the membership price is barely higher than the entrance fee.

Frank DeAngelis

Love the aquarium early in the day. Plenty of exhibits to see and they are fascinating. By 11:30am it gets too crowded so make this an early morning stop. It's on the pricy side so you've pretty much got to buy a years membership to make sense of it. We always do and its well worth it.

Sandra Farnum

Despite the number of kids, parents etc., There place was kept very clean and the movbs of kids, parents and baby carriages were able to move smoothly thru the exhibits. The restrooms were kept clean. Once you interpreted the map of the address, things were easy to find. The food in the cafeteria was hot. The online ticket purchased were a good deal for both for and tickets. I think the aquarium folks are doing a fine job especially on a cold rainy school vacation summer day!.

Goku17yen

Very nice habitat with lots of educational value, where you could honestly let your children run free and explore for themselves. Was a very clean environment with a plethora of animals, and touching exhibits. Most notably the breathtaking sharks as well as the hippos. Can get a bit crowded at times and entrance price is a bit ridiculous ($40 for adult) but is somewhat justified with the all the things they allow you to do as well as the 3D movie they show. This place is perfect if you are a family and if you have young kids as it won’t be too much. But if you are with a large group you should definitely think about going with a grain of salt considering their ticket prices.

Christine Donley

Today my boyfriend participated in the Swimming with the sharks Encounter. He loved it! We enjoyed being able to watch and enjoyed seeing the sharks and fish up close. We also walked around some and enjoyed the hippos and other animals that have been added since our last trip there.

Ganesh Marve

Great place for kids and family. No parking Hassles. Ideal for 3 to 4 hours of time

Amy Ruffner

I was here on a field trip with my son, who is in 3rd grade. We had a wonderful time and were so impressed by the aquarium! It was the perfect size for the few hours that we were there. I could have read more signs and went through a bit slower, but my son wanted to see everything quickly! The shark net bridge was REALLY cool and should not be missed! Great aquarium that you should definitely check out!

Dan Corcoran

First time here. A lot of interaction with some of the animals. Great place to take the kids. Food wasn't that good

Alex Woodruff

Exhibits were very well thought out and you absolutely get your money's worth. Even the eating spots along the Delaware are great. Traffic is the usual deterrent for most places like this but that's no fault of the Aquarium itself. Very helpful staff as well.

Alexander Lobo

I did not have high expectations when we got to the front of the building and there were only two people working at the ticket box. There was a line of 30 people, I said to myself "oh well I am already here, there is nothing to lose". The admission fee is about $34 with taxes. Eating inside is around $15 each. Parking in front of the Aquarium is $10. Add everything and then think about how big is your party. Once we got in, we were blown away with the beauty of the place and the exhibitions they have. There are huge tanks in which you can clearly see people diving with the sharks and there some areas where you are allowed to touch the sea stars and little sharks. One of my favorites is the 3D rainforest, it recreates the Brazil's Amazonian jungle. Definitely a place worth visiting....wait...just don't forget to walk outside the aquarium. The view is breathtaking. If you take a left turn, you will see a beautiful warship which is used as a hotel.

Monica Bird

The best place to EVER have a wedding or even just go to. The staff are the most incredible people I have ever met. Period. Do yourself a favor and visit this Aquarium. You'll never forget the memories :)

Jasmine Santiago

Alot to do for a 2 and 10 year old. Not too stressful for pregnant women either. The food and museum fees are pricey. We loved it. If it was a little more budget friendly we'd go back again soon. They no longer sell family memberships. Now every member of your household has to buy individual memberships which is costly. Overall this is a great place to spend your day if you have the extra cash.

Michele P

Our visit was late afternoon on a very hot Saturday, so it wasn't extremely crowded. The staff was good natured, the exhibits were interesting, & well, I just love aquariums, so this one didn't disappoint. The layout was a bit disjointed, but maps helped us to plot our course & it was a great experience especially seeing the hippocampus. We didn't eat any food, so no review there. Bathrooms were clean & parking was conveniently located near the facility & not too pricey.

Ty Williams

Awesome family time, lots to see an learn. Shark tunnel is the best! You need to go see that. Price pp is like $34 on wknds.

Stefan Pavlov

This is a very kids-friendly place with lots of different types of attractions for all age groups to enjoy.

Joe Rangel

So many cool aquatic attractions and the animals seemed so much livelier than any other aquarium I have been too. They were out and definitely not shy, funny moments and it’s cool to see our neighbors in the water who we don’t get to hang out with. You can Walk above a shark tank!

Ilse Denisse Catalan

This place was great. My toddler petted, not once... but THRICE, two starfishes. She loved the fishes and would not stop taking about them for days. The bubble windows into the various tanks were really cool. She wasn't too hot on the sharks except when she found the rocking chairs...I think she was gathering a pinterest page for her villain's lair. Mercifully, they have no dolphins, which in my book is actually a plus. They also have frogs, which are near and dear to my toddler's heart. Much fun was had jumping around like one around the tanks. Embarrassing to us but annoying/adorable to everyone else. We had a great time. Would visit again.

charan Pal Singh

Aquarium is having variety of dishes and aquatic and nicely displayed. The place where people are encouraged to touch sea fishes like Sting Ray and Shark is particularly fascinating. Other attractions is Shark Tunnel and Shark bridge. However shark bridge needs improvement as very little is visiting through rope netting. A glass bridge may be a better idea. Hippopotamus was a great disappointment particularly to kids as we failed to see them in action despite two different attempts.

Patrick Schumaker

Great place to bring the kids, tons of unique fish and species I have never even seen before! Very cool!

Martin Takac

Very nice place not only for kids. There are many activities where one can touch various animals, including sharks! ( of course they are smaller sharks to be safe ;)

Michelle LeNoir

Easy to get in, easy to get out. Staff is amazing from front door, to security to behind the line during a lunch rush and of course those with the animals. Always happy and willing to help.

Michael Wright

Awesome exhibits! A must see! Shark tanks and interactive exhibits are awe inspiring. I could sit in the shark tunnel all day!

Tiffany Neville

Beautiful aquarium right on the beautiful Delaware river! Lots to do here and it's very easy to spend the whole day there! Crowded but things usually move along well. Food in the cafeteria area is DELICIOUS!

Keri Collins-Mooney

Quieter in the first few hours. A little pricey but less expensive tickets online. Kids and adults loved it!

thisisseriously myemail

A really fun place to take your family this is a great Aquarium aquarium particularly for younger kids, teenagers may not be amused as much here for kids 12 and under this place is really great very good variety amazing staff very easy to navigate lay out diverse Aquatic Life for a smaller Aquarium. Highly recommended for a day trip to the shore even during the summer

Erik Vagen

Lots of fun for kids of all ages. Had many visits with the family, and still a good time. They keep things pretty current and it's spacious so you don't quickly run out of things to do and see.

Mark Young

Great place to bring the kids/family. It's nice because of the interactive parts where you can touch the water creatures. The kids continued to talk about it for days!

MzLadyJ

HIPPOS!

derek Wong

Very nice setup and a lot of sea species. Kids love this place. They can touch the sharks and stingrays. I love them myself.

greg polcer

These are just some of the animals I saw at the aquarium. The staff are very friendly and the rate isnt bad either. But you do have to pay for parking which is ten dollars. They also serve beer there and other food as well. The gift shop is really big and they have a great selection of coffee mugs.

Kyle Fleming

Busy but wasn't hard to move around. Right off the river line too. Easy to get there

Tim Malone

Nice place to bring children. Quite a few hands on exhibits. My nephews and niece really liked the big shark tank and touching the manta rays. Go early as it really starts to get crowded late in the day.

Elena Sokol

Amazing please AMAZING!!! there is a large area with food, many recreation areas, a cinema, photo services, you can make friends with tame fish and touch the fin of the ocean stingray, see shark children and much more. no day guess when there will be fewer people, so come and just enjoy. parking 10 $ for the whole day.

Rosalind Brown

This is a wonderful place to take a family no matter the ages of the children. There are several exhibits that allow you to touch and a few have areas for smaller children which allows them to get in on the fun; the younger children even have a little play area.

Beastleh

It was fine no problems other than I must have accidently gone on national bring your psycho child to the aquarium day. They were everywhere like big destructive cockroaches and absolutely ruined any fun or enjoyment that could be had. But it was not the aquariums fault. The staff and animals did fine and I enjoyed them, even though I don't think there was 12 seconds of silence the whole visit.

Zane Manley

Great place to bring families. There are often many bus trips here, and they can sometimes crowd things out, so even though it isn't a huge aquarium, plan on a couple hours. Around $35 per person during the week.

Debbrena Morrison

It wasn't bad. There were plenty of activities to touch the different animals. At least three different places that I know of. There were two shows that I thought were great. One was in a 3D theater the other was in front of a huge tank so that we can see the divers and with the huge turtles and sharks and other fishes. The gift shop is extremely pricey however I like the selection. A bottle of water is $3 outside. If you purchase it inside it will be $3.74. Also a pretzel with just salt is $4. And it didn't even really taste that great to be honest.

Louie Santana

Amazing experience for my 4 year olds and myself. I will definitely come back again

Nirupama parmar

Very good and organized place. The kids will love the touch and feel of fish. Lots of other activity. The 3D movies are very good. The shark and hippos are amazing to watch. The food is good. The cafeteria is good place. You just take rest and start again. It’s on river bank so enjoy the view and also take ferry to PA. Lots of fun. The parking is ample.

Corey Mosher

The Adventure Aquarium is stunning. Lots of various animals on display and a great environment for children to learn about animals. The Season Pass pays for itself by just two visits. Well worth the purchase and the parking can be free if parked on the streets.

Sammi Thats Me

Fabulous location on the Camden waterfront features an abundant array of aquatic and marine wildlife from all over the world. If you go on the weekdays or earlier in the morning it is not as crowded. We booked a shark and sting ray encounter and it was both educational and exciting. Take advantage of the experience when you have a chance to get special pricing. Handicapped accessible throughout. Drawbacks are price of ticket and food. Can he expensive for a family of 4.

Joseph h Bragg III

Great place to see aquatic life! Loved the diver show!

Charity

Well kept up. Kid-friendly. They let you touch starfish, stingrays, searching, etc. You can walk through entire aquarium in 2 hours, easily.

Nicholas Fagan

This was our first visit here, and as an aquarium enthusiast, I really enjoyed myself. My wife and I brought our 12 and 10 year old, and the kids were entertained. Much of the aquarium is dedicated to science education and awareness in the form of infographics and kid-friendly displays. Our trip was during a recent heatwave, so the crowds were in full effect with rude families and not needed pushing. That being said, the staff were so very kind and friendly-from the cooks and servers to the gentleman in the front lobby that helped us with a malfunctioning locker. Might try to come back when the exhibits change up or have a different theme. Definitely worth the trip and would recommend it!

The place was well put together. Weekend visit. The young lady who spoke about the sharks was great. She included the crowd and gave a lot of cool info on the sharks. They have a lot of animals and seem to be treating them well. Only two opportunities for improvement I observed. First was one guy cleaning tables in the food court sprayed the tables connected to where my fiance where eating without regard to the mist of whatever chemical he was using. It got on our food. He also looked very unhappy. The second was the crowd toward the evening makes the exhibits very difficult to get to. Movement is also rough. Keep an eye on your kids as its easy for them to get lost behind crowds. Overall a good experience!

Beautiful place with a panoramic view of Philadelphia downtown and New Jersey... so many sea animals.. my kiddo likes it.as a member we used to go there monthly. quite big. Good for kids.. recommended.

Very hands on aquarium. With a lot of interactive spaces. Staff was friendly and informative. The food was very good at the snack bar with a very large selection. They even had a misting station outside for warm days.

We enjoyed the aquarium but it's set-up is a little confusing. Beautiful animals - you can gently touch star fish, manta Ray's, and small sharks. Nice for kids - hopefully ok for the animals. They are amazing creatures. Favorite was sitting in front of the huge tank - just watching the sea turtle and fish swim.

For any aquarium lover please come visit! This is such a great small aquarium! You could easily spend a few hours here for any morning or afternoon. There's so many animals here! If you're a shark lover there's a shark bridge you can walk over which is extremely cool! Also this aquarium is the only aquarium to host hippos and hammerhead sharks as main attractions

Brenda Risser

Great place, lots of interesting aquatics. Very large, lots of people but spacious enough. Very good food. I had the Mac & cheese it was deliousus. The hippos where the stars of the show. You get to actually pet the animals. I loved petting the stingrays they were quite entertaining. Highly recommend!!

jeniffer dejesus

It's cool but nothing special, it's super overpriced. Almost $70 for just 2 people.... They could definitely make it more fun somehow for the visitors, especially for what you pay to get in.

Love this aquarium. It is set up in an organized, logical manner. There are a TON of things to do and see. The hippo feedings are great and give you a unique experience of your picture with the hippos if you can get close enough. This time we were able to see the holding tanks for the new arrivals including baby sharks. You could walk through and look in each tank to see what will be coming to the aquarium in the near future. There are also special encounters you can purchase separately which take you "behind the scenes". Staff is friendly and informative and takes time to answer any questions. A highly recommended destination in this area!!!

Ceazy cool. Hippos! Penguins! Shark tunnel and bridge! Great photo ops and reasonably priced. Full day needed. Up close encounters are avail for xtra $ . I did the penguins with my 6 yr old granddaughter. Its was worth it!

It’s a great aquarium! It can be crowded, but it’s not something they can help! Lots of things to see and do. The people there are knowledgeable and passionate about animals. They make sure everyone is happy! I always have a great time when I go here! The downside is that it is expensive!!! So if you plan to go more than once in a year be sure to get a membership!! Worth it! :)

It was beautiful. Please make you take advantage of the ferry and aquarium package on the website. The tickets were $37 for adults. Since I was coming from Philly with my family, we boarded the boat at Penn's Landing from of the Seaport Museum at 10:30am. Then when we got to the aquarium, inside you can get a map and go where ever you please. I had such a great time. It took about 4 hours to enjoy all the exhibits since my nephew loved getting his face painted which was about $12 to $15. The gift shop was something I was trying to avoid but I did get my nephew an bath egg that dissolves in water and a tot appears which was $4... A pretzel was $5 alone. There were 3 jelly fish exhibits I enjoyed, piranhas, sting ray touch areas, an area outside the sting ray display area where children could go to play. It was wonderful!!

Renata Barnes

Seriously crowded when I went and very noisy. Hard for me to enjoy but that means its food for the. It seemed a bit dirtier and run down then I had remembered. No seals, no beluga whale or porpoises. They need to revamp the displays.

One word: WOW. We had a BLAST here. The drive was approximately 80 miles from where we live, but it was WORTH it. I couldn’t believe the clarity and how up close you would be with the sea creatures and fish. Lets start off with the prices first: Adults are approximately $32.00 pp Children 2-12 are approximately $24.00 pp Under 2 years of age is free. Depending on your commute, and when you enter the city of Camden you may be a bit intimidated by the area around you. Don’t let Camden deter you from visiting the Aquarium. The Aquarium is situated in a safe location with a wonderful view of Delaware River Waterfront as you enter the aquarium. Once you enter the aquarium the fun begins. There are different areas and levels of the aquarium to explore. You have penguins to see outside, a section where you can pet stingrays, the hippo exhibit and best of all the underwater exhibit and walking above the sharks. You can easily spend 3 hours here and see everything needed. The place is so relaxing to see different types of sea animals/creatures. I found myself entranced with the jellyfish and just sitting back in the little “theatre” area gazing in awe at the 25 ft wall of underwater sea creatures. At the end of the day you will leave satisfied with how up close the views were which was an absolute pleasure. I recommend this place and we will be sure to come back here again with friends and family.

Had a great day with the kids, recommend going during the week it's only $20 a person, parking is $10. Bring your own food, seriously. I never understood why it's ok to hike prices up like that for food and the gift store. Take the kids out after for ice cream and 5 below, they can get an entire bed full of stuffed animals for the price of a pretzel.

Debbie Winters

SUPER expensive. Expect to spend over $150 on food, tickets, and parking for a family of 3. Exhibits were nice if you didn't notice all of the dead fish. Employees were super friendly. Definitely not something I'd do often.

Kat Hunter

They've done so much to this place since I last visited years ago. Love all the room they give the larger species. Feeding times are especially fun.

Konigin E

Definitely would recommend this place. Plenty of touching exhibits and learning info about the animals. I cant say anything about the food because we didnt eat at any of the food establishments. We took our 8 year old and all of us were equally entertained. Parking was located directly across from the aquarium and was only $10 (cash, credit/debit). If you're thinking of visiting definitely go and you won't be disappointed.

Diamond Williams

It was a fun experience I don’t think I’ll be getting a membership it’s kinda like a one time thing you pretty much see everything in one visit and it’s always the same

Jenice Camarena

Loved it! This is a large aquarium with a lot to do and see! My toddler loved the shark bridge and the hippo exhibit. My baby loved watching the jellyfish. And I loved sitting and watching the sea turtles swim by! We have come twice this month already and I just love it!

Linda Cummings

The grandkids loved seeing all the animals, especially the hippos. A nice relaxing day for the whole family. Parking was convenient and they have a wide variety of food options for lunch. Everyone had a great time! The group photo taken at the entrance is reasonably priced and leaves us with happy memories.

Jimmy Kothari

This place is fun and best is indoor and has many different types of aquatic animals. Apart from fish penguins and hippo are here. This is a nice learning place for kids. Kids can explore many things here and learn and also know that we dont pollute water as these animals live there. Only one thing we didnt like is hippos in such a small enclosure, they should be kept in bigger place.

Angelica Collins

Much smaller than I was led to believe. Go early as it gets very very busy. My son didn't get a chance to pet some of the animals because there were too many people crowded around the area. The shark tunnel is super cool. The hippos were definitely awesome as well.

Nathan Davis

This was a very clean, kid friendly aquarium with reasonable prices and a fun atmosphere. I recommend it for all ages. Several interactive exhibits where you can touch the animals as well!

Cheila Perez

It was awesome. Only thing that concerns me is the size of the hippo tank. It should b bigger . in their habitat their space is bigger . at least make it big like the shark tank. Everything else was awesome n great. Jelly fishes a bigger tank.

Jake Danishevsky

We love this place. Have visited this aquarium several times before, we try to come back once in a while, so that we can see what else they have, if we missed anything before and just enjoy a day walking around and observing. They have hippos!!! Now, my family and I have visited a good number of pretty incredible aquariums, but I have never seen one with the hippo tank. They used to have two, but this last visit we only noticed one swimming around and he / she was beautiful. Those water giants are amazing. The only thing I also miss from before is that top observation deck was closed and there were no birds at this time when you got into the hippo exhibit. I liked seeing birds flying around while we walked around. Besides hippos, they have tremendous amount of fish and other aquatic species, including outdoor sea lion and penguin exhibits. On the nice day, it is always a great perk to go outside for a while and enjoy outdoors exhibits. Overall, we like this one a lot and highly recommend it.

Venkat Viswanathan

It's an awesome place to spend a day indoors. The 3D movie is also pretty good. The activities like touch the baby shark and stingray are one of its kind. Must visit!

CT B

I absolutely love this aquarium. It’s smaller than others, but very interactive. Perfect place for a family day!

Diana G

Had a fantastic day! The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable. They do a wonderful job answering questions and pointing out details I would have missed otherwise. Special thanks to Zak at the Hippo feeding.

Adrian

Beautiful place, very well kept and maintained. Very nice 3D entertainment

Pagan CM

Beautiful place very clean and colorful. We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded. After the museum we took a ride on the ferry. Best day ever

There is a lot to see and do at the Adventure Aquarium. My only real complaint is a lack of ADA services - my son is on the Autism Spectrum and requires a stroller as a wheelchair (it is designated as such). There are some locations that are inaccessible and we cannot take strollers into some areas. However, the staff were all friendly and very accomodating especially in the hands-on areas. He really loved the bubbles that you stick your head up in. If you have kids that are sensitive to light and sound stimulation I would be careful, and also go early so the crowds aren't as heavy.

Eric Barrall

Overall, we liked the Adventure Aquarium. It's pretty easy to get to, parking is right across the street ($10). They do have allot to offer ... lots of sharks! Shark tunnel, shark bridge, lots of windows to see sharks. They also have allot of other displays - jellyfish, octopus display, touch tank and Hippo's, oh my. They put on shows and have lots of educational info. Plenty of employees there to get you where you need to go. Didn't have a very long wait at the ticket window either. But it is a good visit, and we had fun. We took our 3 year old grandson and he liked it allot. Food court is decent too. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and more. They have salads too, over by the Deli counter - kinda have to look for them, but they look good! All the prices are typical. The cons ... the place is looking a bit dated. Wear and tear is obvious. Viewing locations are good, but can be tight, especially if they're school groups or the like, which we encountered. We've been to the Baltimore Aquarium several times and prefer it over the Adventure Aquarium. The Baltimore Aquarium has more to offer for a similar price. Also they have better viewing, a larger gift shop, bigger commissary and more displays. If you're in located between, go to the Baltimore Aquarium. If you've been to the Baltimore Aquarium, the Adventure Aquarium is still a worth to look ... that's my 2 cents...

Nicole Martinez

My 4 year old and I have memberships here and it's completely worth the drive and money. This facility is clean, a nice size, the staff are knowledgeable and there's plenty to see and touch. During the summer is a bit hectic due to summer camps having trips here basically every day during the week. During this time you're liable to be trampled by an unsupervised summer camper, so hold onto your little ones.

Andrew Pelletier

Very crowded, but expected on a Saturday morning. Always enjoy seeing the hippos, penguins and sharks. Liked getting tickets online for cheaper and skipping the lines.

Sandra DeSantis

I think the Adventure Aquarium would benefit from adapting Disney's new rule: NO OVERSIZED STROLLERS. The spaces in the exhibits are too small to be pushing a double wide stroller. Like any place where parents bring their kids, most of the time, the kids aren't even in the strollers. The parents are slowly pushing the strollers while the kids run around like animals and it makes seeing the exhibits so hard. But aside from the stroller problem and the parents who don't care that their kids are monsters, the aquarium is very nice.
